there's an entire subreddit about how many dead bodies and missing people have been found. i even did some digging, too, and the shit i found probably means the police either don't give a shit, or they're covering something up. a serial killer is just one theory, my theory is trafficking.

edit: you're better off not hiking in southern new hampshire. a lot of bodies are found near the bodies of water, trails, and woodsy areas. other than that, you might run into some drug addicts or step on a needle.

I'm not going to freak out. I promise. However I was informed there is a serial killer in south New Hampshire.

Was talking about hiking and trails and someone mentioned it to me to be careful in southern NH.

5th October 2024: Fly agaric, amethyst deceiver, views and other mushrooms at Denny Wood in the New Forest on one of my greatest ever days for observing mushrooms with so many seen, colourful and entrancing delights of autumn and fuchsia and sedum in the garden.

We also visited Matley Wood and Bolton's Bench today seeing stunning and enigmatic devil's fingers, deceivers, waxcaps, gorgeous yellow stagshorn, panthercap, false death cap, bleeding fairy helmet, earthball and lichen and moss well too. Late Swallows including flying extremely close to the ground enjoyed and looking very colourful in the sun, Marsh Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Jay, Rook, Red Admiral, Southern Hawker, bell heather, tormentil and lesser spearwort were other highlights in the forest with the Raven I saw at Lakeside yesterday seen flying past the house and Goldfinch including young highlights at home today.

in terms of the states whose affiliation as part of "the south" is somewhat more debatable, for a lot of them there's a sense of regional overlap. like we can all agree on the deep south but is texas southern or western or both? what about the ozarks? (i would personally include the ozarks in the south and i think texas is both southern and western). there is also a LOT of debate about virginia which i think is kind of insane because if you look at the pre-1900 history of virginia there could be absolutely no question that virginia is southern. the only reason people are arguing that virginia is not/is no longer a southern state is because of the increased suburban sprawl emanating from dc into northern virginia that is largely populated by transplants from elsewhere and i think that's definitely changed the dynamics of the state as a whole significantly but a) not all of virginia is nova b) i don't think that outweighs the historical background.

Small announcement, I’m like 90% sure that Mojo 8085 will be in New Hampshire at an airshow this weekend to compete in some scrimmage matches.

I will not be there and fairly certain not a single member of pit crew will be there because the first the drive coach told us about it was last week. So RIP Emil. Not waking up at 2 AM to leave for New Hampshire the day before my first AP Calc test after learning about this comp very last minute.

If anyone sees Mojo say hi to drive team and sorry to Emil for me.

Hi all. New term starts January 2nd and I’m attending a new university 😄 my first class — English composition 2. In this pic right here I made an APA citation guide since I often forget how to use APA format and this will help me out. Also yes I’m still majoring in psychology (with a concentration in mental health)

So you can expect the coffee shop sit down visits and also study vlogs/blogs when they come. I’m so psyched to be continuing my education.

School Update

The Grades Are In!

I finished Critical Approaches to Literature with an A-! It was a lot of fun, though I did three weeks of work in the last week since depression and the funeral made doing my work a non-starter.

I'm really excited for my new class! It's the first writing class I've taken so far for my degree. SUPER anxious though. I have to submit a piece of fiction or poem I've written every week to have my classmates critique.

01/04/2024-Great Crested Grebe and chicks, snake's-head fritillary and Greylag Goose at Lakeside Country Park and views and nice sky at Smugglers Road in the New Forest.

On a dew drop adorned morning walk to and at Lakeside I also enjoyed seeing Moorhen, Blackbird, Great Tit, red deadnettle, daisies and dandelions with Green Woodpecker and Ring-necked Parakeet heard. On the gorse clad afternoon New Forest walk splendid views of Dartford Warbler, Stonechat, Linnets, Dunnock and Kestrel were other highlights with Skylark heard. Stunning and vibrant Speckled Wood butterflies, Chiffchaff and Buzzard were good to see at both with Woodpigeon, Starling and Goldfinch enjoyed at home. A brilliant wild, hopeful and packed Easter Weekend with so much and so many places seen and precious time spent socialising.
