South Korea launches second military spy satellite with SpaceX rocket
South Korea on Monday claimed the successful launch of its second indigenous spy satellite on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, South Korean media reported.
The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 8:17 a.m. (7:17 p.m. local time) from the John F. Kennedy Space Centre in the US state of Florida and sent the reconnaissance satellite into orbit about 45 minutes after launch.
South Korea’s defence ministry said in a statement that the satellite was successfully separated from the rocket. It said it would check the satellite’s performance through its link with an overseas ground station.
The Koreas each launched their first spy satellites last year – North Korea in November and South Korea in December – amid heightened hostilities. They said their satellites would enhance each other’s surveillance capabilities and strengthen their own missile strike capabilities.

Meet The World’s New Arms Dealers! Where To Buy Drones, Fighters And Tanks On The Cheap
— September 19th, 2023
An aerial view of Kizilelma, Bayraktar TB2, HURKUS, and Akinci surrounded by crowds of visitors at Teknofest in Ataturk Airport, Türkiye 🇹🇷. Image: Getty Images
The sight of North Korea’s chubby leader, Kim Jong Un, shaking hands with Vladimir Putin on September 13th—having travelled by train to a spaceport in Russia’s far east to discuss selling its dictator a stash of Korean weapons—was remarkable both on its own terms and for what it said about the business of selling arms. The world’s five biggest arms-sellers (America, Russia, France, China and Germany) account for more than three-quarters of exports. But up-and-coming weapons producers are giving the old guard a run for their money. They are making the most of opportunities created by shifting geopolitics. And they are benefiting from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Mr Kim’s trip to Russia followed a visit to Pyongyang in July by Sergei Shoigu, Russia’s defence minister, who wanted to see if North Korea could provide gear that would help his country’s faltering war effort. North Korea would love to find buyers for its military kit. And few regimes are willing to sell Russia arms. China has so far been deterred from providing much more than dual-purpose chips (although it could yet channel more lethal stuff through North Korea). Only Iran has obliged, selling some 2,400 of its Shahed “Kamikaze” drones.
North Korea could provide a wider range of stuff. As well as drones and missiles such as the kn-23, which is almost a replica of the Russian Iskander Ballistic Missile, it could offer self-propelled howitzers and multi-launch rocket systems. According to sources in American intelligence, North Korea has been delivering 152mm shells and Katyusha-type rockets to Russia for the best part of a year. Russia is shopping in Pyongyang and Tehran because both regimes are already so heavily targeted by international sanctions that they have nothing to lose and much to gain by doing business with Mr Putin’s government. They are not so much an “axis of evil” as a marketplace of pariahs.
Image: The Economist
If the North Korean arms industry is being boosted by the war in Ukraine, its southern foe is doing even better. South Korea’s arms exporters were cleaning up even before the conflict. In the five years to 2022 the country rose to ninth place in a ranking of weapons-sellers compiled by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), a think-tank (See Chart); the government aspires to make South Korea the world’s fourth-largest arms exporter by 2027. Last year it sold arms worth $17bn, more than twice as much as in 2021. Some $14.5bn came from sales to Poland.
The size and scope of the agreements South Korea has reached with Poland, which sees itself as a front-line country in Europe’s defence against a revanchist Russia, is jaw-dropping. The deal includes 1,000 K2 Black Panther tanks, 180 of them delivered rapidly from the army’s own inventory and 820 to be made under licence in Poland. That is more tanks than are operating in the armies of Germany, France, Britain and Italy combined. The package also includes 672 k9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers; 288 K239 Chunmoo Multiple-Rocket Launchers; and 48 Golden Eagle FA-50s, a cut-price fourth-generation fighter jet.
South Korea’s success in the arms business is down to competitive costs, high-quality weaponry and swift delivery, says Tom Waldwyn at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, a think-tank based in London. Its prices reflect Korean manufacturing efficiency. The quality derives from Korea’s experience working with the best American Weaponry, and from its own High-tech Civil Sector. Speedy delivery is possible because the Koreans, facing a major threat across their northern border, run hot production lines that can also ramp up quickly.
Siemon Wezeman, a researcher with sipri’s arms-transfer programme, says wholehearted support from government and attractive credit arrangements are also critical to South Korea’s success. Asian customers like that the fact that it has close ties to America without being America, which is often seen as an unreliable ally. This could also help South Korea clinch a $45bn deal to renew Canada’s ageing submarine fleet. Questions for the future include how far South Korea will go in transferring technology to its customers—a crucial issue for Poland, which sees itself as an exporting partner of South Korea’s, competing with Germany and France in the European market.
If South Korea is the undisputed leader among emerging arms exporters, second place goes to Turkey. Since the ruling ak party came to power in 2002 it has poured money into its defence industry. A goal of achieving near-autarky in weapons production has become more pressing in the face of American and European sanctions—the former imposed in 2019 after Turkey, a nato member, bought Russian s-400 surface-to-air missiles.
Rocket-Fuelled
SIPRI thinks that between 2018 and 2022 Turkey’s weapons exports increased by 69% compared to the previous five-year period, and that its share of the global arms market doubled. According to a report in July by a local industry body, the value of its defence and aerospace exports rose by 38% in 2022, compared with the previous year, reaching $4.4bn. The target for this year is $6bn. Pakistan is receiving modernised submarines from Turkey. And the last of four Corvettes which Turkey has sold to the Pakistan navy was launched last month. More sales to other countries are likely, both because Turkey’s ships are competitively priced and because Turkey has few qualms about who it will sell to.
Yet Turkey’s export charge is led by armed drones. On July 18th Turkey signed a $3bn agreement with Saudi Arabia to supply the Akinci unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV). It was made by Baykar, which also produces the Bayraktar tb2—a drone that has been used in combat by Libya, Azerbaijan, Ethiopia and Ukraine. The tb2 was developed to hunt Kurdish militants after America refused to sell Turkey its Predator drone. More than 20 countries lined up to buy it because it was cheaper and more readily available than the American alternative, and more reliable than the Chinese Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles UCAVs that had previously dominated the non-Western market.
The Akinci (pictured right) is more powerful. It can carry lots of big weapons, including air-to-air missiles and the som-a, a stealthy cruise missile with a range of 250km. It will find buyers among several other Gulf countries, such as Qatar, Oman and the UAE, who are keen to hedge against souring relations with America by reducing their reliance on its weaponry. These countries have ambitions to build their own defence industries; they see Turkey as a willing partner and an example to follow.
Turkey’s ambitions are shown by what else is in the pipeline. Its new Navy Flagship, the Anadolu, is a 25,000-ton amphibious assault ship and light aircraft-carrier that will carry Bayraktar ucavs. At least one Gulf country is said to be in talks to buy a similar ship. Turkey’s Fifth-Generation Fighter Jet, the Kaan, in which Pakistan and Azerbaijan are partners, should fly before the end of the year. Developed with help from Britain’s BAE Systems and Rolls-Royce, the Kaan could be seen as a response to Turkey’s ejection from the F-35 partner programme (as punishment for buying the S-400). Turkey will market the plane to anyone America will not sell F-35s to—or who balks at the conditions. Once again, Gulf countries may be first in line.
South Korea and Turkey have benefited from the woes of their main competitors. Russia’s arms exports between 2018 and 2022 were 31% lower than in the preceding four-year period, according to sipri. It is facing further large declines because of the strain its war of aggression is putting on its defence industries, its geopolitical isolation and the efforts of two major customers, India and China, to reduce their reliance on Russian weaponry.
India, previously Russia’s biggest customer, cut its purchases of Russian arms by 37% in the 2018-22 period. It is probably wishing it had gone further: Russia’s largely state-controlled arms industry is having to put its own army’s needs ahead of commitments to customers. Many of India’s 272 Su-30mkis, the backbone of its air force, are kaput because Russia cannot supply parts. Some of Russia’s weapons have performed poorly in Ukraine, compared with nato kit. And sanctions on Russia are limiting trade in things such as microchips, ball-bearings, machine tools and optical systems, which will hinder Russia’s ability to sell combat aircraft, attack helicopters and other lethal contraptions. The longer the war in Ukraine lasts, the more Russia will struggle to claw back its position in the global arms market.
Damp Squibs
As for China, over half its arms exports in the 2018-22 period went to just one country, Pakistan, which it sees as an ally against India. Nearly 80% of Pakistan’s major weapons needs are met by China, according to sipri. These include combat aircraft, missiles, frigates and submarines. Beijing has no interest in its customers’ human-rights records, how they plan to use what China sends or whether they are under Western sanctions.
But China’s arms industry also has its problems. One challenge, says Mr Waldwyn, is that although China set out to dominate the military drone market a decade ago, its customers got fed up with poor quality and even worse support, opening a door for Turkey. A second is that, with the exception of a putative submarine deal with Thailand and a package of weapons for Myanmar, other countries in South-East Asia are tired of Chinese bullying and “won’t touch them”, says Mr Wezeman.
At least China does not have to worry about competition from India. Despite much effort, India’s growth as an arms-exporter has been glacial. The government of Narendra Modi has listed a huge range of weapons parts that must be made in India; it hopes homemade light tanks and artillery will enter service by the end of the decade. But India has relied for too long on the transfer of technology from Russia under production-licensing agreements for aircraft, tanks and warships that have failed to deliver. Investment is wastefully channelled through the state-owned bodies. Red tape suffocates initiative.
Projects such as the Tejas light combat aircraft have taken decades to reach production, and remain fraught with problems. The Dhruv light helicopter, launched in 2002, has crashed dozens of times. After decades in development, the Arjun Mk-2 tank turned out to be too heavy for deployment across the border with Pakistan. Locally made kit is often rejected by India’s own armed forces; “If they don’t want it, exporting it becomes impossible,” says Mr Wezeman. South Korea and Turkey show how countries can build lucrative arms businesses that underpin domestic security. India, for all its bombast, is a lesson in how not to do it. ■

As my rewatch of Voltron season 6 comes to a close, here are my thoughts on it. Mind you, as I'm writing this, it is past midnight. I took my medication, and one of the pills I take makes me a bit sleepy. I wholeheartedly apologize for any repeated sentences, nonsensical phrases, poor spelling of certain words, and poor grammar.
Keith and Krolia's adventure to the area where the other Alteans are should have been at least two episodes - there are moments that should have been more fleshed out, but were unfortunately cut short by production, and possibly absences of Steven Yuen since he is a popular actor in both America and South Korea
Season 6 was ordered, it started production with a certain number of episodes, then one of the suits decided to cut down on the number of episodes - that explains the weird montages
Monsters and Mana, while the best episode of the season (and I stand by it) was definitely written as either a needed filler episode (which is fine) or a special episode to release between season 6 and season 7
Anything that I said about Lotor, in terms of how he ruined Allura's character, is wrong. Allura is just not a good character in this season. I can understand that she needs that connection to her people, and Lotor is able to help her. But I genuinely stand with Lance when comes to not trusting Lotor, since he could not shut the ever loving fuck up about their fathers being friends. My brother in Christ, Lotor, we fucking get it. Your dad and her dad rubbed elbows.
The kiss shared between Lotor and Allura still makes me gag. Nothing against the shippers of this specific ship. I just hate Lotor and how he manipulated Allura. I've been through my own kind of manipulation, so I can't seem to like the character as a person.
I am still right in the theory that Lance and Shiro's relationship was supposed to be important. As much as I adore the fight that Keith has with Kuron, and he tries to being Shiro back and Keith says "I love you", shocking the clone enough for Keith to get the final blow... Lance was given the shaft once again. I could try to work with this in my fix it fic, despite sacrificing my favorite moment in the finale. I'm still outlining my fic, and still on chapter 1, so only time will tell.
That Galra robot that was programmed to have fun was amazing and the scene of it being tied to a rocket getting shot into space as Amazing Grace played in the background is iconic and I wish people talked about it more. Because it was insanely funny and I loved it too much. Fly high, random robot. I will always love you.
Despite me bashing Lotor for all that he is, I will still say that he is a well written character that I would love to punch in the face. Unfortunately he is like 7ft tall, and I am the same height as Krillin from DBZ. So I'm either going to have to learn how to do a Shoryuken a la Street Fighter.
As much as I love the finale of Season 6, I genuinely have to say that Keith's inclusion after being away from Team Voltron just seems convenient.
The Black Lion is the most disloyal bitch I have ever seen. I love the Black Lion's design, as I should. I'm a basic Voltron: Legendary Defender fan. But the Black Lion instantly took Keith back after leaving the team to be with the Blade of Marmora. Also the Black Lion had no problem with Kuron after a certain point, which is stupid. How dare it not be a continuous struggle for Kuron to gain its trust. Then again, this is the same lion that was still loyal to Zarkon despite the fact that Zarkon was evil. Never understood why Zarkon's bond with the Black Lion was so strong when Shiro proved himself to be the better paladin, but that's none of my business at this time.
I personally felt like the Blade of Marmora overstayed their welcome after a certain point. This could just be a me problem, and I am wholeheartedly willing to be the only person on this hill.
Coran is consistently amazing.
I don't know when the writers started making Hunk more of a tech savy character (I genuinely have no idea), but it's quite eye opening when you notice the change in archetypes.
Matt is still an okay character to me. When he was revealed, a good chunk of the fanbase was madly in love with him, which I understand, but I just look at him and shrug.

─── ・ ✦ BACKGROUND
lim dahlia was born on the 8th of december in the year 2001, to lim jiyoung and beom sebin. her parents were fairly rich due to being being real estate developers. their lifelong dream had been to travel the world, and they had another addition to their team.
her toddler years were spent in s. korea, since her parents wanted her to make memories in the neighbourhood they had grown up in. dahlia's adventorous nature had resulted in a broken arm from climbing a tall tree in the park near their house.
they shortly moved to japan due to her father getting an offer to develop an estate in a suburb. dahlia had been only four when they had situated themselves in the country for this project. she had made friends with some children from her preschool.
a year or two had passed before they packed up everything and moved once again. the trio made a nest for themselves in the european country of the netherlands. dahlia discovered multiple dutch artist that guided her in learning the language, as well as famous singers from english speaking countries.
the rest of her child years were spent in the netherlands. her dutch had become better the more she spoke it, and her goals became clear to her one day when she saw a bagpipe player in the city. her interest in the musical instrument sky rocketed once her family went to scotland for her school holiday.
for dahlia's 11th birthday. her parents surprised her with news of them moving again. she had been feeling down after the news, since all her current friends were right there in europe. to calm her troubles, jiyoung and sebin took her to her grandmothers farm back in korea. dahlia was exploring the vast area, when she had run into a herd of cattle. the poor girl had been chased away by one of the bulls in the herd, a new fear developing from that incident.
the lim family settled in boulder, colorado. dahlia had made her parents promise that they weren't going to move for a fourth time. her wish had been fullfilled?? once they confirmed that this was the last time they planned to move?.
the teen girl expanded on her interest in music by joining her schools music club. there she had learnt more instruments. in the year 2013, dahlia downloaded the app 'vine', where she started making relatable videos about her life.
she had gained popularity on the app a few months after downloading it. one of her videos had been looped about 5 million times and shared around the same amount of loops it had.
once the app had been shut down in 2017, dahlia tried to get into musical.ly, but didn't like it as much as she liked vine. in the latter year of 2017, dahlia went radio silent on her fans from vine and musical.ly, none of them knowing why.
no news of dahlia were heard, people hadn't even seen her in public after the sudden disappearance on her social media. even her instagram account had no updates, the number of posts staying the same, only the follower numbers increasing by the day.
in 2022, an anonymous video of a girl dancing to havana by camila cabello had been posted on every social media. the girl had a mask over most of her face, concealing her identity from the public.
people made theories on who the mysterious girl could be, but none of the claims were disclosed.
once girl from nowhere had revealed her identity on july 2024, people had mixed reactions. most fans were extatic that dahlia had come back to the music industry after being gone for so long. others were confused as to why she had showed her face now, and not earlier.
the girl went live on her instagram to address any questions. her reason for not showing her identity to the public at first was due to her concept of space and mystery. she explained that as much as people know about space, it is still a mysterious place we don't really know a lot about.
another reason was because she wanted people to focus on her voice and dance skills, ignoring whether she was beautiful or not.

North Korea has started sending troops to fight with Russia in Ukraine, South Korea's spy agency has said as Seoul warned of a "grave security threat".
The allegation comes a day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he believed 10,000 North Korean soldiers could join the war, based on intelligence information.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol called for a security meeting on Friday and said the international community must respond with "all available means".
According to the spy agency, 1,500 troops have already arrived in Russia - with anonymous sources telling South Korean media the final figure could be closer to 12,000.
This comes as evidence mounts that North Korea is supplying Russia with ammunition, as recently demonstrated by the recovery of a missile in Ukraine’s Poltava region.
Moscow and Pyongyang have also been deepening their cooperation in recent months. Last week, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un greeted Russian President Vladimir Putin on his birthday, calling him his "closest comrade".
Friday's security meeting was attended by key officials from South Korea's National Security Office, the Ministry of National Defence, and the National Intelligence Service, Yoon's office said.
"[The participants] decided not to ignore the situation and to jointly respond to it with the international community using all available means," it said.
The allegation from the National Intelligence Service (NIS) comes days after Ukrainian military intelligence sources said that Russia's army is forming a unit of North Koreans.
The BBC has asked the NIS for comment.
On Thursday, Ukraine's spy chief Kyrylo Budanov claimed that there were nearly 11,000 North Korean infantry troops training in eastern Russia to fight in Ukraine.
"They will be ready [to fight in Ukraine] on 1 November," Lt Gen Budanov, who heads the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence Directorate, told The Warzone website.
He added that the North Koreans would be using Russian equipment and ammunition, and the first group of 2,600 soldiers would be sent to Russia's western Kursk region, where Ukraine holds a number of settlements after launching its incursion in August.
Earlier this week, Putin introduced a bill to ratify a military pact he made with Kim, which pledges that Russia and North Korea will help each other in the event of "aggression" against either country.
South Korea's spy agency, the NIS, said North Korean troops are training in Russian bases in Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, Khabarovsk, and Vlagoveshensk.
This appears to confirm information from a military source in Russia’s Far East, who told BBC Russian this week that “a number of North Koreans have arrived” and were stationed in one of the military bases near Ussuriysk.
Seoul's spy agency also released aerial photographs of Ussuriysk and Khabarovsk, where they say hundreds of North Korean troops have gathered, and another photo of North Korea's Chongjin port, where a Russian ship was reportedly shown carrying North Korean soldiers.
The NIS said it found that since August, North Korea has sent 13,000 shipping containers carrying shells, missiles, and anti-armour rockets to Russia.
As many as eight million 122-mm and 152-mm shells have been supplied to Russia, it said.
However, some military experts believe the Russian military units will have difficulties incorporating North Korean troops into their frontlines.
Apart from the language barrier, the North Korean army has no recent experience of combat operations, they said.
“They could guard some sections of the Russian-Ukrainian border, which would free Russian units for fighting elsewhere,” said Valeriy Ryabykh, editor of the Ukrainian publication Defence Express.
“I would rule out the possibility that these units will immediately appear on the front line.”

Unfinished Timeline for an Untitled Setting
Critique and advice is more than welcome, though please be nice about it. Goes up to about 2081 rn, though I plan to get at least another 50 years further in before I get to the time I want the bulk of the setting to be set in.
Timeline:
2022: First controlled break-even fusion reaction, followed by first controlled net-gain fusion reaction.
2025-2026: Increasing unrest in USA leads to mass riots outside the white-house. Sweeping reforms after growing revolts threaten to become a major armed rebellion. NASA miraculously left untouched, general increase in standard of living. Economic crisis narrowly averted.

Here's a question. Let's say we compare Israel's apparent partnership or alliance with the US and the West to other similar examples. It's comparable probably to the close ties that South Korea or Japan have to the US and the West.
Now let's say there was an October 7 type of attack on a US partner like Japan or South Korea. And let's say the group that did it was hosted by a US ally…that would be really strange wouldn't it. You'd probably be perplexed…as in "wait, a US ally is hosting a group that just massacred 1,000 people in S. Korea that's awful, why would we have our ally host a group that does that"?
But when it comes to Israel it's considered normal policy for US allies to host and support Hamas.
I've come to the conclusion, and I'm sorry to say this and I never thought I'd believe this, that the West is partly or responsible for October 7 and that they empowered systematically Hamas. It's really sad but one has to begin to wonder…why are western governments backing Hamas? Why is it the same governments that were outraged by massacres in the Balkans in the 1990s, actually support an ally that backs Hamas and led to massacres far worse in a single day than what happened in the Balkans in most cases.
Is it usual that western allies host groups that massacre 1,000 people and take 250 hostage? I mean do we support Boko Haram also? I don't think so.
I think, tragically, that a decision was made many years ago to back Hamas and that some in the West see Hamas as their preferred group to take over Gaza, the West bank and Israel and that they were are working slowly toward this end, just like they decided back in around 2005 or 2010 that they needed to bring the Taliban back to run Afghanistan. They knew they couldn't do it overnight, so they moved the Taliban to their ally and had it wait and then they made a deal to bring it back.
Israel is seen today by some (and definitely by Western allies in the Middle East) not as a meaningful ally like South Korea, but rather the next country they want to Afghanistan. And so Hamas is being groomed. October 7 was the first shot in a long war, but the goal is clear. The Hamas leader flew from the Western ally to Iran this week to plan the next stage and he celebrated the UN vote for a ceasefire. Hamas is preparing its return to the West Bank. 134 hostages are still held with no end in sight…and Israel will be prevented from taking Rafah, either by its own leadership or other pressures.
It's sad but this is the case. And you have to ask tough questions…why is the West backing a group that committed genocide on October 7? Why are Hamas leaders living it up in a western ally rather than on trial for war crimes? Why is it that Hamas is less isolated today than on October 6? Why is it that western countries make statements backing Israel, but in essence they continue to hedge by also backing the countries that back Hamas? Hamas filmed its murder of civilians, they paraded dead bodies in the streets of Gaza but no one has charged them with war crimes? In fact even in Israel none of those captured in Gaza are being charged for crimes against humanity.
I feel that it's a kind of global "old boys agreement" that Hamas is being backed, it is being prepared to run the West Bank, and return to Gaza, and that none of its members will be charged with crimes…and October 7 will never be investigated, and that within a year Israel will declare victory in Gaza and Hamas will return to Gaza and the rocket fire will increase again and it's unclear if Israelis will even be able to return to the north and south, but there will be victory and huge achievements will be described and the hostages will mostly be left in Gaza for years.
It's sad but it's hard for Israel when it's up against a group backed by a western ally and basically backed by the West.
No one knew this on October 6 when they went to sleep. They didn't know that this would be allowed to happen, they felt secure, they had listened to the speeches at INSS and IDC and other conferences about Israe'ls capabilities and Hamas deterred and how strong Israel was and the 3-D chess that underpinned the logic behind letting Hamas and Hezbollah grow massively powerful and doing a deal with Lebanon and having cash flow to Gaza and how smart and 3-D chess it was to have Hamas hosted by western allies…we all believed this…and people were abandoned on October 7…but five months of war and everyone is told this is amazing victory…while Hamas relaxes in Iran and also thinks it is winning.
When two sides believe they are winning, they can't both be winning. And one thing is for sure…I don't think the West would back allies that host groups that carry out a massacre like October 7 in Japan or S. Korea…or basically anywhere. The West thinks that October 7 was fine. We said "never again"…but it was an empty promise, what we meant was "again and that's ok and the West will host the group that does it again."
I mean this isn't even like the Shoah…because during the Holocaust the West didn't back as an ally the country where the Nazi leadership lives. Today it's different. The West's closest ally hosts Hamas, and Hamas massacres more Jews than at any time since the Shoah, and the West thinks that is ok. So it's worse than the Shoah because during the Shoah the West fought Nazism…and maybe it didn't do it fast enough but there was moral clarity by Churchill and others. They spoke out about the hate of Nazism. Today I don't think any western leader really condemns Hamas crimes or wants Hamas members charged like Nuremburg.
You can check this out and look into it…but the fact is the Nazi leadership was put on trial. Hamas members literally live and thrive in a western ally and there is no attempt by the West to put them on trial…even though they murdered citizens of many western countries. Strange, isn't it…almost like there is a gentleman's agreement behind the scenes to support Hamas or at least tacitly accept its crimes as normal.
It's sad but that's how it is. And if there was any evidence to the contrary you would see Haniyeh at the Hague like Ratko Mladic…but Haniyeh lives OPENLY in a western ally country…Mladic was on the run…consider these facts.
Fact 1: The West warned Russia against the ISIS attack, the West did not warn Israel. Fact 2: The West's closest ally in the Middle East hosts Hamas. Fact 3: Hamas members have not been charged for crimes against humanity. Fact 4: Hamas members live openly in a Western ally and go back and forth to Iran and plot their next moves. Fact 5: There is no real condemnation of Hamas in the West, or a desire to see its leadership charged with crimes and the group dismantled. Fact 6: Hamas, hosted by a western ally, carried out the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust and there are no repercussions for Hamas. Fact 7: During the Holocaust the Nazi leadership was not hosted by a Western ally. Hamas is. Fact 8: During the war on ISIS, Iraq was supported to fully defeat ISIS. Israel is told to ceasefire and let Hamas control Gaza again.
