Random ppl saying Karlach is “conventionally” attractive must live in an alternative reality I’m unaware of.
Is she stunning? Yes. But she does NOT fit into conventionally beauty standards for women (yes, even after her face change from EA).
Say you see a woman of color, way WAY taller than the average - let’s say 1.90m tall. She is visibly bulkier, has thick thighs, prominent abs. Wider shoulders than average.
Then, her skin (which again, isn’t white), is covered in marks. Scars, tattoos, discolorations and other “uneven” tones and textures.
On top of that, her entire right side is covered in ‘hideous’ burnt skin tissue. From her fingers to her ribs and half her chest.
But not all. She has metal pins and bits protruding from her due to some medical procedure you’re not familiar with.
And she might have facial scars too. On her very non-white facial features. Imagine she’s not only Asian - but the “wrong” kind of Asian (aka the darker side of Asia- not the mainstream-approved Japan or Korea). Maybe she’s even from the South Pacific islands.
Her hair is thicker, choppier.
And, beyond her appearance, she curses. She laughs loudly. She doesn’t act demure or quiet or feminine. She’s unapologetic about it, too. Proud of being physically stronger than most.
What an affront.
That is all to say… yes, she is stunning (to me and many of us). She’s especially more stunning BECAUSE she’s so off the scale of conventional beauty for women. You might have lived in a beautiful social bubble where women like Karlach are considered the prettiest there are, but even so, that’s not what the world at large sees as ideal beauty - for any gender, but more so for women.
That’s one of the big reasons I’m so into Karlach (and also why I have always had a soft spot for laezel too). They stick out like a sore thumb but they dgaf.
And to top it all, it’s one extra reason for me to ship the shit out of her and Astarion.
Astarion isn’t the conventional male handsomness but he does fall in a wider category of male beauty. He is the most popular male character and attracts both male and female fans.
I like him to fall for characters that would be considered way off the mainstream beauty scale. One thing I haven’t seen yet and want to do one day is make a half orc character to pair with him. Because fuck yes. And also because for me, Astarion does understand where beauty standards lay, but that lost meaning to him long ago. He’s capable of being petty and shallow but when push comes to shove, that’s not it for him.
Again, another reason as to why I’d think he’d fall head over heels for Karlach despite himself.
But yea. Going back to my point, no matter that WE think Karlach is pretty, cute, beautiful and gorgeous. That’s us being ::cough:: superior. But it doesn’t make her mainstream digestible beauty material (that’s lame shadowheart lol - sorry guys, sh is so boring to me).
Which in turn makes Karlach even more precious to me (and her and Astarion in love even more special 🖤).
Thats all the rant, for now.

Dreamt w... Streamers tonite I guess. I was in my old house but living w my dad. It was bright and clean, sunny. It might have been my second house ever not my third. Anyway there were a few things going on, first I found some fucking school projects from Joel and one was a poster which has a very simple but decent enough drawing of the gollum's face along with others, it was kind of a brainstorming or planning thing, and I also found a map which I thought was of south America but then my dad was like that's that's Europe(which he called US or UN)! And I looked again and it didn't look ANYTHING like such but I was like oh okay. Map also had the names of the places written in thick black blocky font but in swedish bc y'know lmao.
There also was this sort of... Contest, or something? With a bunch of people, I guess made up. One guy I remember was El Momo who ppl started calling Momito or Momita for some reason. Guy was either native latino or asian and fat with small eyebrows short... Man bun like hair? And a bright pink beard that I think was dreadlocks. It was kinda lock shaped too. No sides.
Guy was shy and quiet but quickly got the public's liking for silly things like being cool and stuff.
There also was a woman who was playing a VR game and I don't know if she got almost or WAS run over my an old woman so she went "vieja conchuda descarrilada y tuberculosa!" which I still think is extremely funny.
There also, outside of the streamers or whatever, was a building. Judging by the position it definitely was the second house I lived in. The bit of the dream I remember was the second day since the building had been started and the skeleton was completely. It was a beautiful place, many floors and strong blocky pillars and to the right a sort of spiraling shape. On the first floor there was this big open square where a library would be with a huge window, too. And there was a beagle running around a coffee table. Despite being just made the building outside was already black and white. It was cool.
#luly talks#my dreams#note that since Joel barely shows his face my dream didnt bother giving him one

I'm from Asia, and the overwhelming majority of us would straight-up not date white people. Some ethnicities are more likely to date out than others, but overall we're good, no thanks. Women who do date white foreigners tend to be levelling up economically (no judgement there from me) which is a well-known fact. While there is definitely white colonialist beauty standards at play in the majority of places, I have lots of experience with the corners that bs hasn't reached (Nepal, for a generally big example, where they love dark skin and certain features) - and even within the spaces where European-centric standards do apply, the majority of non-white people aren't interested in dating actual white people as a first choice. It has nothing to do with white people's racism or disinterest in non-white people lol. I don't know about the Middle East of course, but I think your experiences of Asia seem limited to the more English-speaking, cosmopolitan areas perhaps - or maybe you are talking about Japan, which I am not familiar with personally. However even in Korea I have a white friend (born there) who can't get a boyfriend because- in her words- men there sort foreigners as "fun times only" and local women as "marriage material". It's a bit ridiculous to think that billions of non-white people are genuinely thirsting over white people, it's simple not true - most people prefer to date within their race. Lots of people do feel attraction to white people, for the reasons you outlined or naturally as well, but your experience does not seem univeral (outside the Western sphere). It was kind of bizarre at first to come across this thinking in Western spaces but now it's just deeply agitating, because I notice non-white people in Western countries really do act like they're less attractive and it's insane to me. Like sorry, but here in my part of the world, certain Asian features on women are considered the height of beauty among these communities (to the point where that's problematic in and of itself). Definitely white beauty standards have wormed their way here too, but again, it didn't change most Asians' sexual preferences - it just made them look for those features in their own (not everyone, but most - yes some people would date white).
interesting… my experience has been the exact opposite. while i know some people would not marry a white person, they’re still the standard of beauty and marrying a white person can be almost a status symbol & people do act like dating them means you’ve won somehow. this applies for the middle east and i know similar standards exist in south & east & southeast asia. my gf explained the same type of phenomena exists in taiwan and neighbouring east asian countries & ive observed similar mindsets around white ppl being considered the most beautiful among south asians and west asians overall.
i’m not referring to english-speaking cosmopolitan areas either, i’m thinking of countries like the philippines and india and pakistan and basically the entirety of the middle east. admittedly i’m not familiar with nepal tho— it’s interesting to hear they prefer dark skin there, which is in contrast to the rest of asia in which colourism is very prominent.
i did notice white people are generalised as more of a “fun time” thing in many cases but people will still not look down on you for marrying a white person & shun you for it the way they would for marrying a black person, for example. the people generally think white people are the most appealing but often prioritise marrying people of similar backgrounds for the sake of cultural and familial standards.. not bc white people are deemed unattractive in asia. in fact, the whiter you are, the more beautiful you are deemed.
#felt like parts of what u wrote seemed quite dismissive of my experience#and made it seem like bahrain is an english cosmopolitan place#anyways it seems like ur using marriage as the standard when i’m talking about beauty standards#features like pale skin larger eyes double eyelids long noses long faces light/coloured eyes and blonde hair etc are deemed more beautiful#ie features associated with europeans. this is the case for asia in general#people will prefer more white-passing ppl within our countries bc it’s the closest u can get to white ppl without upsetting ur family#a lot of the time at least. but what do i know 😭 i only grew up being berated by people from different parts of asia for being visibly brown

Alot of times when I see ppl talking abt Taeyong being gay just coz he seems like one, we have to realise that dressing and they way ppl dress in Korea is very different to most western or even western/South Asian men do.
They take them looking nice very seriously, onew has a bag that I've never seen any man in my area even carry for their wife/gf. Makeup and dressing up are normal for Korean men, wearing jewelry for idols and fashion loving ppl is very normal too.
So if Taeyong talks abt being in love with fashion or skirts, it's not coz he is gay coded but coz he is from a culture where being beautiful is something both men and women strive to be.
Men love it when they're called yeepo, even though I always thought it was very feminine word.
P.S. also wanted just share this one's pic as he looks very good in it and I realised chenle looks alot like him.
Video1, Video2
-------------
I think it's more to do with his body type and stereotypes. When Johnny talks about liking plush toys, oversized clothes and fashion, does nailart and tries pole-dancing, noone tries to explain it with him being gay. Case in point.

Damnn I lived in Ontario my whole life (Ottawa was the city I lived in the longest, I've lived there for like 5 years and I came there when I first came to Canada). Ontario is INSANELY diverse (we'll forget about the time my mum decided to move my sister and I to school in thunder freaking bay for middle and some of highschool 💀) but it was so normal to have friends and classmates from different backgrounds. Like one class would have some west Africans, Arabs, south Asians/east, and many more. Then my self esteem crashed while living in northern Ontario but I'm healing in Calgary 😂 life is so funny. But I honestly love it here though. And thunder bay was like one of the most dangerous cities in Canada. I remember biking with friends in middle school and one of my friend's mom called us and said a murderer was on the loose 💀💀💀💀
///
omg ontario and toronto are soooooo multi cultural, love it there but it’s so depressing to live there 😭😭 i also lived there for a 1 year! hated it <3 ☺️☺️ omg but no ur so right, the diversity there is so beautiful, here it’s mostly found in like brown ppl areas (surrey esp!) just diverse, every middle eastern and west africans (the vibes r so good the white schools had intense rivalries 😭😭)
NOT THUNDER BAYY LMFAOOOO CRAZZZY THAT AREA OMG 😭😭 not calgary fixing u up but broke me out in a minute of entering in thru that wretched highway 😭😭😭
girl wHAAAT??? murderer??? 😭😭😭 crazier than medicine hat??
thunder bay was insane I still can't believe I survived that place. like why did i have middle school boys calling me slurs for just... existing??? also going downtown and seeing druggies and shit. man the amount of drug users at SCHOOL was fucking INSANE like it made me promise to never do that shit because I saw the effects it had on my friends, it was so scary. But I love it here, it's so diverse and I feel comfortable here. And a murder in Tbay isn't something that's very shocking over there. I remember in like the 2nd month I was in tbay one of my friends told me she saw someone hang themselves outside of their home.... we were 11.......

subha hone na de ; jude bellingham
summary ♡ alexa play moonlight by twice :D
pairing ♡ jude bellingham x south asian/brown!fem!reader
content ♡ fluff, fiancé!jude, asian wedding shenanigans, jude in a black kurta (brown ppl will know that this is a trope in itself 😌), y/c/n = your cousin's name, lovergirl!reader, the moon as a symbol of beauty, tiny social media au at the end, bollywood fans this one's for u !! 🗣🗣
a/n ♡ ahhhh my first brown girl reader fic & i’m so excited for u all to read it 🥰🥰 the reason i used both south asian and brown as descriptors for the reader is bc i wanted to include the girlies of the diaspora like the caribbean/fiji/south africa/south east asia etc & tbh i wasn’t sure if any person of south asian descent preferred to describe themselves as either ‘south asian’ or as ‘brown’ !! also pls note that this is a very broad & non-specific portrayal of a person from “south asian culture” - that is to say that bc south asia is made up of numerous ethnicities, religions, cultures etc i don’t want to show disrespect by lumping them all together nor do i intend the reader to be from a certain south asian background! i tried to keep it as “general” (?) as possible esp when it came to the clothing but pls let me know if u would like to see elements of a specific culture or religion in a future south asian/brown!reader fic !! ALSO oml ik my a/ns are always so long 😭 but the title is a reference to one of my fav bollywood songs <3 it’s an absolute BANGER & it translates to “let there be no morning/don’t allow the dawn to arrive” which i think ties in nicely to this fic :D pls enjoy & lmk what u think!!! 🫶🏽💛
“alright… how do i look, babe?” your fiancé asks, emerging from the bedroom into the ensuite where you’re placing the finishing touches to your simple makeup look as he pats down the black sequinned kurta you’ve picked out for your cousin’s at-home henna ceremony tonight. his personal choice to pair it with a golden necklace and a watch to match makes the whole look pop against the summer-tanned tone of his skin.
you’re careful not to blind yourself with the eyeliner in your hand once you catch even the smallest glimpse of him in the mirror. it’s safe to say that if you were a cartoon character, there’d be hearts protruding from your eyeballs, all pink and comically large.
“you look amazing, jude, so handsome,” you beam at him, genuinely in awe of how good he looks in your culture’s clothing, not that it’s the first time you’ve seen jude wearing such a thing. over the years that the two of you have been dating, you’ve introduced him to so many facets of your heritage, sharing parts of yourself that were inseparably you – and jude has embraced and immersed himself in everything like he was born into that same culture.
your fiancé smiles right back at you before replying. “have to make sure i look good in front of my wife’s family now, don’t i?”
you struggle to stifle the schoolgirl-like giggle that racks through your chest at his words, still not able to be used to the word ‘wife’ coming out of jude’s mouth while referring to you, despite you not even being that yet. truth be told, it’s almost been a month since jude proposed and although you both agreed to wait for some time before telling fans and the media, he’s been calling you his wife around friends and family ever since he got down on one knee, resulting in your bashful smile and blushing cheeks becoming the subject of their teasing every time.
“true, yeah, can’t have the aunties gossiping about how you have zero drip.”
your joking is met with a childish sticking out of jude’s tongue before he’s shooed out of the bathroom, leaving you to complete your makeup and don the black and gold outfit that matches jude’s for tonight.
***
your cousin had told everyone that she wanted a very lowkey and relaxed henna function, especially since weddings from your culture tend to be incredibly busy—almost chaotically so—and she has the opportunity of her other nuptial ceremonies to go all out anyway, hence tonight’s dress code being as equally relaxed and minimal. in spite of all that, you’ve taught jude that celebrations in your culture and the word ‘lowkey’ are nothing but oxymorons of each other so he isn’t surprised when you both walk in to see the bridal home all decked out in bright lights and flower garlands the colours of a vivid spring and ten times the guests he was anticipating to see all bumbling about the place. what does surprise jude is when you inform him that you’ve been appointed as a “chief henna artist” (in the words of the bride) last minute so now he’s been abandoned; left to the mercy of your relatives who haven’t seen him for all of three months and so decide to hound him with every question under the sun.
“tell us how it was winning the champions league, jude!”
“jude, any plans for the wedding yet?”
“uncle jude, come play in the garden with us! please, uncle jude, please!
“is it true mbappé’s going to madrid? do you have his number?!”
“ooh, can you give me mbappé’s number?!”
jude fights the urge to jet past everyone and run out the front door screaming and flailing his arms, the blaring music and onslaught of inquiries getting to him, and instead peeks over the heads of the crowd around him to try and silently get your attention because as much as he loves your family, he’s praying you can be his knight in shining black and gold to save him from their unwarranted fixation right now. Unfortunately, he’s met with the sight of you fully concentrated on working on your cousin’s bridal henna, having teamed up with another cousin to meticulously draw intricate patterns across her arms and feet. oh, he’s going to have to get comfortable with the company of your relatives for at least the next three hours then.
***
those three hours turn into five by the time jude is done having a kickabout in the garden with your younger family members, detailing the night his club were champions of europe once again and politely declining the chance to leak the kylian mbappé’s phone number to your niece. not that he’s at his wits’ end (he kind of really is) but jude thinks he’d do good to be in your company as the clock tolls eleven so he opts out of another game of footy to go and look for you, much to the amusement of your relatives who lightheartedly taunt him about the way he can’t stay away from his fiancée for even a short while.
passing into the living room once again, jude finds you right where he left you but this time, it’s your henna that’s being painted onto the palms of your hands, the design so complex and elaborate that some of the already-dried parts look richly brick-ish red against your skin tone. under the twinkling fairy lights and waves of marigold flowers, jude can’t help but imagine it’s your nuptials being celebrated here; sitting so prettily like you’re what everyone came here to see and honestly? he can’t wait until it’s time for you to be just that.
“hi, again. remember me?” he jests, taking a seat on the floor cushion next to where you’re sat with your arms sprawled out as your cousin decorates them with muddy green paste.
“hmm, remind me who you are again?” you feign a confused look.
“ouch. is that ring on your finger not good enough of a reminder, mrs bellingham?”
“nope, the diamond’s too small.”
“oi!”
the laughter that erupts from the both of you even has your cousin joining in, jude breaking the giggle fits to ask an all-important question.
“have you eaten yet? you’ve been sat here the whole night doing this.”
shaking your head, you gesture towards the now empty bottle of water sitting by your feet that you’d been rationing throughout the evening and tell him that's all you’ve been filling your stomach with, way too busy with doing the bride’s henna then an aunty’s then a cousin’s then another aunty and then the next after that to even move from your spot in the lounge.
jude determines that that won’t do and offers to make you a plate of food that your elders had just topped up the buffet table with. you comply and ask him to get enough food for you to share.
between mouthfuls and munching of samosas—jude doing the super important job of biting the corner of a samosa and blowing the savoury pastry cool enough for you to take a bite—and sweetmeats, your cousin works hard at completing the henna art on your left hand, and there’s just the matter of a couple of fingers left before she utters a heartfelt apology and comments that her hand is about to cramp from holding cones of henna for so long.
“that’s okay! go grab a break and then if you’re still up for it, you can finish it later,” you say sincerely, encouraging her to go hang out with other parts of the family before she loses her mind in swirls and paisley patterns like you nearly have. “or i can always get someone else to do it!”
“can i have a go?”
the way jude pipes up, mouth stuffed with chocolate barfi like a child who's just found the cookie jar, has you and your cousin whipping your heads towards him and then at each other, sharing the slightest of sceptical looks.
“oh god, will we need to get the stencils out for him, y/n?” your cousin japes – well, she believes she is but the thought of her painstaking work being destroyed by a guy who, although creates art with a football, cannot draw anything further than a stick person makes her nervous, to say the least.
“hey!” jude wants to advocate for his art skills right here, right now. “i’ve been watching you do it all just now, i’ll just copy the exact same thing for the last two fingers, right?”
you pipe in as his supporting act. “he makes a very good case, your honour.”
your cousin surrenders to the pair of you, essentially fleeing the scene with mutters of “better not mess it up, bellingham” and you both know she’s deadly serious.
“still not too late to get the stencils, y’know?” you watch as your fiancé struggles with holding the henna cone correctly.
“no, no, i’ve got this, babe,” he remarks before almost smudging the still-wet design on your palm with his fingers. “oh shit!”
“jude!”
your heart nearly jumps out of your mouth at the sight.
“It’s fine, love, see!” jude points to an edge that’s ever so slightly smudged from the commotion. “all good. now, close your eyes.”
“you’re joking!” you squeak out incredulously, fearful of whatever is going on in that mad mind of his. you do not want to face the wrath of your cousin on a night that’s going so well.
“please, babe!” your grown fiancé looks like a kid trying to prove himself to his mum right now with the way his already puppy-dog eyes grow wider. “i promise it’ll look good, just… close your eyes, please?”
“ok, fine!” trying not to let reluctance get in the way, you’re now the one surrendering to jude’s request as your eyes close without any further argument.. “i’m telling y/c/n to kill you and not me if this doesn’t go to plan.”
a small chuckle is the only thing you can hear from jude before he gets to work, spending more minutes than you can count on your henna-adorned fingers as he drags the cool paint over your digits, questions of whether you can open your eyes yet meet with shushes and oftentimes you hear yourself hissing when jude tugs your skin with the pointed tip of the cone instead of hovering slightly above with it.
“aaand we’re done! you have my permission to open your eyes.” as soon as you do, you’re met with the sight of a very smug, very excited jude bellingham who gestures towards your left hand where… wow, the design is beautiful. it’s the tiniest bit clumsy, just where the lines are supposed to be straight, but it mirrors exactly what your cousin had painted on your right hand, the pattern set in its curls and dots and spirals.
“i did a little something extra, too. i hope y/c/n doesn’t mind but i think you’ll like it.”
“yeah? you’re gonna have to help me find it then, babe,” you say, already scanning over the artwork he’s created to try and find what mystery he’s left behind.
“actually, that’s supposed to be your job.” your fiancé replies, his smile a little more bashful and voice a little softer. “it’s my name, i wrote it in there for you to find—”
“really?! where?!” you ask albeit rhetorically as your eyes now frantically run all over your left hand in search of where jude has inscribed his own name.
a few seconds pass before they do a double-take over where your engagement ring sits on your finger, just there, just to the right of it along the crook of where your finger meets the back of your palm. there is it — the print so whimsically curled and sweetly small that it looks like it fits right in with the rest of the henna design. jude.
“where did you learn all this?” you’re tearing up just the slightest over it all, glad no one is within earshot of you two for you would’ve been teased to no end tonight.
your fiancé shrugs nonchalantly at your question before explaining everything. “i did some research after proposing and read about it. i know, originally, you’re supposed to be the one that knows and i’m the one that looks for it but i thought this would be cute.”
“it was cute— so cute,” you beam across at jude, the hearts in your eyes back again over how willing he is to throw himself into your cultural traditions and quirks, even learning things unprompted and without your encouragement. you thank your lucky stars that you found yourself a life partner who’s so unabashed in not just learning about your heritage but incorporating it into your lives. in a way, he’s been healing that little girl who grew up ashamed and embarrassed of her culture, wishing she was someone else, something else, and helping her become a woman who proudly wears it without giving anyone else ownership.
a chorus of “uncle jude! uncle jude!” rings through the living room as your younger relatives, all pumped up on sugar at around midnight (oh well, it is the time for festivities anyway), run in, dragging your fiancé away from you before you two can exchange any more words. you settle with a shared knowing look and smile, leaving you to get your henna dried and jude to commence round 2 of another football match.
***
there are only so many probing questions from aunties and uncles and instances of your cousin bitching about her situationship that you can take as your henna dries in, what are now, two makeshift cling-film casts to help strengthen the colour before you’re bothered by the lack of jude by your side as the clock tolls just past two in the morning. after sifting through possibly the entire family tree dotted throughout the house, you’re directed by an uncle to the balcony where jude’s standing hunched over the railing, gazing into the sky where the moon illuminates the earth, peeking from behind a sliver of cloud dust.
“hey, you,” you speak softly so as not to startle the peaceful moment that’s now given you a break from the hubbub inside.
jude whips his head towards the voice, instantly grinning at the sight of you, so beautiful in the moonshine, before extending an arm to pull you into his side.
“i see the moon’s out tonight,” you muse, not taking your eyes off him one bit as he continues to stare up into the sky.
“looks beautiful, right?”
“yeah, he does.” you daren’t unlock your gaze from the way jude glows in the moonlight, the cool tone sitting over his skin and bringing more attention to the bridge of his nose and the highest points of his cheekbones. oh, how you want to spend the rest of the night laying kisses across them.
“he? oh—” he turns to find your pretty eyes, lit equally as bright by the natural light, not even having budged an inch from his face as he realises you’re not talking about that moon. “shut up!”
you laugh as he blushes like a smitten teenage boy, a sight not too unfamiliar since that’s exactly what he was when the two of you started dating.
“what, can’t a girl be romantic with her husband?” you act out a sweet pout, the sight and your words making jude’s heart skip a beat or three.
“you are so lucky your family isn’t here to take the piss.”
another set of giggles from the pair of you as you cuddle into jude’s side, both now facing the moon that you swear is shining way brighter than before, the cloud in front of it nearly dissipating into non-existence.
“i love you, mrs bellingham,” jude breaks the serene silence. “i can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.” he places the gentlest of kisses on your ring finger, lips ghosting just over the cling-film-covered diamond ring. the scene would’ve been amusing had it not been for the tender romance of the moment, a few minutes to get away from the beloved chaos of family celebrations and to pretend the whole world rotated on its axis, served its purpose, for only jude and you.
“i love you, too. so much, jude.”
you sigh into the warming summer air, silently asking the sun to rise a little later so that you can fawn over your lover's features in the moonlight for as much time as you want.

PLSDJJIDS I WAS THE OPPOSITE like i didnt wanna pay money but also like i had to have it to reach my fullest potential 👹👹👺
yes exactly i burnt out big time OTL cheers to being *less* mentally ill in the near future ^3^
that's totally understandable,, from the way i see it a majority of the asian population that goes by undiagnosed is v large,, and i'm not basing this off of any actual studies though i know there are some out there- but rather just the role culture (at least in most east asian cultures is as far as i'm qualified to speak for lol) plays in mental health makes diagnosis and treatment,, idk and just going by undiagnosed makes me sad that there are ppl who think this is the norm and that it's something you are expected to get over bc it's something "everyone goes thru" :( i very much relate on the front of gaslighting urself/being gaslit into thinking u just can't handle struggles that "everyone else manages to manage well" n that rlly sucks im sorry beb </3
DAMN LOL we r on the same boat on the same river 🥲 my little tiny snowball also started out w family problems and oh my god my mental health has come out of its hiding >o< i remember my counselor describing it as an unvented pressure cooker lmao
don't answer if you don't wanna, but do you still feel that way in the sense of repressing ur emotions? like refusing to acknowledge it ? i think i was like that for a small period of time but now im like the complete opposite which is like half miserable half not lmfaoo i will forever be the biggest advocate for anyone getting therapy even if u think u don't need it,,, but!! i also know its a big step and may not be accessible for some :<
no yeah cus i feel so gross and overwhelmed and like not in control of things and so ill start spiraling if i dont get up and take a shower ^_^

mental health is such a fuck up like it's like a ticking bomb the way it can go off at any point of life and the urge to ghost everyone, im so ashamed fr
yeah like most of asian countries i feel like. in our culture mental health is seen as something that is seen interjected with "adulting" like when you grow up you're supposed to feel like this and it's your duty to like make peace with it and if you try to seek help for it your family members kinda take it like a failure like you couldnt even deal with this? there's just a whole lot of stigma surrounding it and on top of that, therapy not being that widely available in south asia is a huge problem.
bro pressure cooker, im glad to know you're actually very up front with your feelings now. it's always better than bottling them up, at least you don't feel like a stranger to yourself either, my issues make me feel like an imposter within myself like it's hard to distinguish between things that I feel like I'm making up and the other things that's fucking me up.
YOU ARE SO NICE I AM WITH YOU TOO MY SOLDIER ILY!!!!
lmao ngl I was like those scenario and concept editors right I would have continued to edit bc my edits were like THSIE most beautiful scenes in kpop mvs but I stopped bc the resolution was ASSS THAT TOO WHITE ASSS!!!!!
OMG i wonder how i rizzed u up 😩😩😩😩

i tried to search the anti bryke tag but all that showed up was abt zutara. what are the racist issues? obviously u don't have to answer this you don't owe it to me to explain this but i would love to learn
yeah I mean.
for a show named "avatar" and its generous freeloading of buddhism and hinduism and chakras and third eyes and reincarnation cycles, atla had the grand total of one (1) indian character who was voiced by a white actor imitating exaggerated tamil accents and drinking banana and onion juice (haha, so funny, geddit, cause we indians eat wonky stuff....with our HANDS!!!! like uncivilized people!!!) not to mention that ugly ass scene in nightmares and daydreams when pathik appears in a dream on a lotus (I think?) singing CHAKRAS CHAKRAS with several arms, in a blatantly offensive imagery associated with ma durga/and or several hindu deities who carry weapons and sacred symbols in their arms.
white people in general like to pretend India doesn't exist as part of Asia and they can borrow our aesthetic without representing us, so our great rep in atla is:
names like katara and bumi, rohan and kuvira derived from south asian languages and some of these are very popular Indian names. but don't you be fooled, none of these characters are indian!!!
evil assassins having third eyes on their forehead like our hindu deity Shiva doesn't have a third eye and isn't the destroyer of EVIL.
The fucking golden temple of Amritsar was the sight of much political turmoil and also is EXTREMELY sacred to the Sikhs and the design was literally bootlegged in Korra to make a pro gamer compound. A temple turned to a cutesy sports complex.
most people having south asian and/or arabic names like ghazan, zaheer etc being painted as big baddies.
there's an ugly desi woman caricature in the korra comics but I haven't read it, my indian and Pakistani friends have though. Wouldn't you know it she's a bad guy.
atla is chockful of white liberal propaganda which is why people love some war criminals of the fire nation but lose all sense of comprehension when it comes to victims of oppression like jet and hama who GOD FORBID would have decided to rebel against their oppressors. They could have easily made jet evil in some other way but they specifically villainized his proactive resistance. "jet killed innocents" how about bryke are white liberals, how about ppl chew on that for a hot sec. Don't even get me started on lok.
katara's character is so dear to me but she's not written canonically in the beautiful emancipation arc people think she has. her trauma is second place to aang and she spends 3 seasons fcking mothering him (lol brown girls can relate we do have to coddle our manbabies I'll give you that) only for bryke and fandom to treat her like shit and leave her unrecognised because uwu internalised misogyny in the name of ship wars I guess. [ For ref see the way she is treated when it comes to LGBTQ headcanons/ some popular m/m ships]
many people rightfully express indignation at the shyamalan movie for casting desis as fire nation but sometimes criticism was just "WHY ARE THERE INDIANS IN ATLA?" I'll riddle you one better: in the first place, why aren't there Indians in atla?
#anti atla#atla crit#anti bryke#anti kataang#anti lok#[ just to be safe; i don't HATE lok or atla ]#racism //#india tag#desi tag#answered ask#long post //#thinking about jet makes me sick#love hating bryke 😍

i completely understand why u don't want ppl to make kaia content and will not be doing so. but i'm wondering what the difference is between kaia and the other racist stereotypes on the show? most of the people of color are treated terribly by the narrative and given problematic elements. should ppl not write them either?
hi!! okay 😭 i feel like this is kinda . a complex and nuanced question to tackle . i'm going to try my best to answer this to my best of abilities sorry if it ends up not making sense 😭 (and it might be really wrong)
first i want to preface this first as i am not north american indigenous. i am south american indigenous (more specifically k'iche) so when i wrote the kaia post i made sure to clarify it because there are some aspects of kaia's character that i am not informed enough about. (like specifically dreamwalking i understand the cultural significance but its not something im well informed in as a south anerican native)
so, i wasn't actually the first person to speak out about kaia. it was a north american indigenous person who got a lot of hate for it. because they were able to i guess necessary "spot" the racist stereotypes more as it relates to them if that makes sense?
like dark place kaia never really sat. well with me and i wasn't entirely able to pinpoint it but after their post i realized why because she was. really playing into the "savage" indigenous person stereotype. like with that spear :/ now this is something i guess im able to like . grasp as it relates to my own experiences and growing up hearing about how white people talk about the "savage mayan people who are cannibals and eat hearts" bullshit.
(i promise ill make sense soon 😭) so like. idk i like try to be attuned to racist stereotypical characters i guess. like characters like kaia whose just totally built on racist stereotypes that if u take them away she's basically someone else. i just like i havent necessarily seen other bloggers of color speak out against certain supernatural characters and call for people to not make content if i make sense. like for example, i know some of my asians friends speak out against dean's "busty asian beauties" racist fetish. i would never create content that includes it because its not my place to even touch that. (and sadly theres a lot of non-asian creators who include busty asian beauties in their fics)
but, like if im making any sense if a black blogger were to speak out and say "hey please dont make content of this character because of the hurtful racial stereotypes" (or just any blogger of color for their specific culture) i would listen . (also like if there r posts abt any characters like that out there i loved for it to be sent my way)
sorry this is becoming really long 😭 but essentially its like. im south american indigenous i really feel i cant speak for like other characters of color in spn because like . i dont feel its my place to deem what is hurtful for other people of color. i just know kaia is a hurtful character and i don't want to see her content by white creators. if that makes sense?
but yeah i'm also latino and like the only latinos i can think about in supernatural canon are i believe the brazilian characters from the "fat spa" epsiode and i believe a creator already spoke out about why they're problematic. and i doubt anyone really makes content abt them. but also cesar cuevas who i love because hello! gay latino (points at myself) but i haven't watched the episode in a while so he might be problematic too 😔 like there's a severe lack of latine characters but i don't find cesar to be racist (as of now) so i wouldn't say fans don't write this character ya know?
its very hard to get my thoughts together on this one. super sorry i just find it very complex to answer. another part of why i'm like don't make kaia content i feel is like . take victor for example, correct me if i'm wrong but he's not built off of racist stereotypes. but supernatural chose to kill him off. like they killed off the few black representation on the show which is racist in itself. so of course it's like a circumstance where racism happened but its not because of the character vs kaia who is built off of racist stereotypes. of course supernatural also like attempted to kill her off so double whammy. (but shes not even good representation in the first place) does this make sense? 😅 i hope it does fhjfjf
also, i just reread question noticed the part about other racist stereotypes but like. yeah if a person of color from a different culture then mine calls for a certain character to not have content be made of them like i said, i will not continue doing so! but also i just only interact with like . castiel content at this point 😭 and i feel like at least in kaia's case since she's apart of a wlw ship shes more often than not involved in a lot of content compared to other characters who might be racist stereotypes? like i just see more of her content because well. fans are more focused on destiel sometimes
sorry wow. this is super longggg but i hope i made sense and this answered your question? idk!

So I gotta be honest that I'm disappointed with how many people are like "OMG THE PINNACLE OF ROMANCE" when it's a white dude playing musical chairs with sisters and bringing the one he knows he doesn't want all the way to the altar only to get a boner when the sister he does want looks at him. It's ... uncomfortable. The book was different. Edwina couldn't stand Anthony and thought he and Kate would be perfect together. I have no idea why they decided to make two beautiful dark-skinned South Asian women fight over this mediocre-looking white man in the show, but it was nasty and the people who love this are people I'm glad I'm not related to.
yeah what we're not gonna do is moralise people's enjoyment of a show just cos we personally don't like it. like yes representation matters and media matters, but it's not THAT deep as to define ppl morally like that. the Wrong Sibling™ trope is a staple of the romance genre and a lot of ppl find it entertaining, that doesn't make them bad people. a lot of ppl I know just enjoy the actors chemistry and don't care about the story. As someone who isn't dark skinned or south Asian, it's not my place to judge the representation of either of those things so I'm not going to. I get that it's very frustrating to see everyone hype something you don't like and is problematic in places, but take it from someone who regularly gets on a high horse about not liking popular things- thinking you're better than ppl who like something that's basically lab-designed to be liked gets you literally nowhere. just block the tag and reccomend better things to ppl who ask lmao.

Sorry for the wait!! I'm also not sure how old Kazuha is... If you want to have a re-match with a Canon adult character please feel free to tell me!
this is not proofread btw
I match you with...
Kazuha!
Kazuha is a very patient and observant person. He knew when he first met you that you're quite shy and would take some time for you to warm up, which he is perfectly fine with!
He loves every part of you!! Your soft, beautiful skin, silky hair that shines under the sun, your eyes that shines like the brightest stars!
He gets sad if you talk negatively about yourself and gives you a lot of reassurances
It's perfect to know that you like the ocean! Since you'll probably spend a lot of time there being with Kazuha, being apart of the crux and a wanderer
He loves to take you to some isolated and beautiful beaches (or any places like that tbh...) just the two of you spending time together
He loves to take calming walks along the sore side with you, telling you some poetry he wrote about you
He also likes to play you a tone with different leaves! I still don't know how but he's a talented boy <3
He'll always help you dry your clothes afterwards
Summer is the season for you two!!
Warm days spending on the beach, in nature, with the Crux on the ship, enjoying your favorite drinks under the summer sun, etc etc !
You'll never have to be too afraid of the heat either when you're with your lovely boyfriend who is an anemo welder!
Cool breezes seems to always flow at you two, wonder why
Being a wanderer, he often find himself in the outdoors being surrounded by nature even at night. And someone, you're there with him
And in the outside, you'll know there's insects...
Kazuha knew and understood your dislike of insects so he'll always kill them and protect you from them
He also always reassure you that he will always he there to save you if you ever fall off something
He finds you as such a sweet and innocent person, also the most adorable person he has ever met
He loves how you get excited over the smallest things, he loves how appreciative you are of life and everything that comes with it
He admires your positive attitude and your lovely touches! Your hugs are the best one in the world to him! Change him mind
I hc he would do yoga as well so you guys are yoga buddies
He loves to join you when you watch the sunset or just sitting in nature
He'll always make Chai for the two of you
He doesn't really in witchcraft but it surely has his interest!
He loves how you get excited over music and your cute silly little dances! It always put such a big smile on his face!
He'll definitely also join you but he's not a good dancer

that's so weird. id think ur sister has light skin for an arab. egypt and jordan yeah people tend to have lighter skin but bahrain??? ur skin color actually looks very normal to me, like i dont think its that dark at all. in my school there was a very pale girl we all liked to tease. we told her she probz looks like a lobster if shes in the sun for 20 minutes, called her a vampire, a ghost, i once even called her a bottle of elmers glue (lmao dw she thought these names were rlly funny. we wouldnt do that if she disliked it) so its kinda surreal seeing that u got picked on for dark skin that i think is completely common and regular. maybe its a regional thing? im from the west of the gulf, and ur from the east, so perhaps dark skin is more normal and common in the west (i even think its more beautiful than lighter skin ngl. my friends agree)
my sister doesn’t have light skin lol 😭
we are both considered dark skinned in bahrain. being darker isn’t that uncommon, it’s pretty accepted for men especially. for bahraini women, i don’t meet that many with my skin colour. a lot of bahrainis have brown skin but from my experience most have lighter skin than us. we are generally not perceived as bahraini, neither is my father (he’s also dark skinned), and instead we are perceived as south asian, which im sure as u know is like.. the group khaleejis are most blatantly racist to constantly.
idk why ur area is different, idk where ur at or anything of the sort so i can’t comment on the details but my sister and i almost definitely wouldn’t be considered light skinned in any of the gulf lool. to this day she constantly gets dudes telling her they ~don’t usually like dark girls~ but find her attractive and dumb shit of the sort. but one thing u said that applies in bahrain too is that SOMETIMES if someone is extremely pale ppl may make fun of them, but it’s usually not even in a derogatory manner bc more often they get told they’re beautiful and treated w awe for having pale skin. meanwhile our darker skin gets us comments like what a misfortune and how unlucky and “if only” we had light skin we’d be sooo beautiful and so on..
also no idea why u said in egypt maybe we’d be considered dark skinned but not in bahrain,, aren’t a lot of egyptians rly dark? i reckon we’d be more or less the same bc we also have the same wide variety of skin colours

i hc blake as poc mostly bc she comes from an island that very much has south asian and polynesian influence in its aesthetic (ghira is based off of a character from the jungle book, a book set in india) and i wanna see that reflected in the blake
at the same time, i also do hc both ruby and yang as half chinese, so i also draw them with darker skin than in canon, and honestly i just think that more people should be open to viewing characters with no clear ethnicity as something other than white tbh, and even moreso for those characters who clearly aren't white (looking at all the people who whitewash robyn hill). but i definitely agree with you that people should also be more cognizant of why they hc certain characters as non-white, i think there really is a lot of biases we all have and aren't entirely aware of that should be taken into consideration when dealing with these types of hc's
yeah exactly! there’s absolutely nothing wrong with hc’ing blake as POC and, based on her background and context clues, she realistically should be either indian or polynesian
the PROBLEM is when she’s the ONLY one ppl hc as a POC when both ruby and yang can just as easily be seen in the same way,,,,,,, that’s when we need to start considering biases and systemic fandom racism
when people cling desperately to white yang or white robyn (which is a GREAT example) but very quickly are like “oh blake’s just POC! idk why she just is!” it is,,,,, not great lol
a good example would be this,,,,, watching the lion king and drawing the lions as black in human form makes sense. watching beauty and the beast and saying “the beast is a black man” is problematic for so many reasons. not saying you COULDN’T see him this way, but it’s also important to interrogate why you do
i’ve studied this stuff for years so it’s become glaringly obvious to me when it happens again and again and i just think it’s something to be aware of especially if you find yourself in fandom spaces often
#you’ve articulated it well here#whiteness cannot be the default in a world where whiteness is the minority#and yet...... we often default to whiteness unless a character is an animal or a monster or something#asks#anon

FIRST OF ALL HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Okay so I don't know anything abt your OCs, please tell me EVERYTHING. And what are their hobbies, their favorite places, what do they enjoy most in the world?
OH DAMN HAVE I NEVER POSTED ABT THEM HERE?? TIME TO CHANGE THAT
So my first one is Tara, she is of South Asian descent, specifically India, her great-grandparents immigrated to the UK and she lived near the west islands in Scotland. She’s wanted to go to space since she was little, she’s fascinated by that kind of stuff, and she’s studying at a nice college : )
Tara’s hobbies are doodling (just for fun, can be anything from people to plants) and gardening, she has a little windowsill garden of plants and herbs that she tends to carefully. They have names! She also like making star-maps of special occasions, she has one of what the stars looked like the night she was born that she worked very hard on.
Her favorite places is her home, where it was quiet and the air and sky was clearer. (If you’ve ever been to the UK you understand it’s disgusting fjgjjg 😔👊) However she does like the nearest city to her school, with a large library and a cafe close by. It’s a nice, quiet place to read or just vibe. The cafe knows her order when she comes in now hfgjfjgj.
The things she enjoys most in the world? That’s a bit tough lol, but she loves her family and her roommate (they’re close friends), and she is extremely passionate about her goals. She loves being high up and feeling the wind, she just like nature!! all of this makes it seem like she’s super quiet but honestly she’s a strong-willed, sometimes-prickly, confident person!
Other OC is Valeria, she/they are afro latina and lives in America (I haven’t decided where yet 😔) she’s a lot newer than Tara, but I love them so so much. They are v pastel punk, they make their own clothes! They’re less sure than Tara abt what they want to do as a career (they want to do a lot of things, it’s hard to pick) but they’re doing fine w their retail job atm, as fine as you can be in retail hfjggj
Val like sewing, crochet, and painting! They’ve got a spot in her apartment that’s reserved for painting, complete w plastic covering the walls and floor jcjggj. They’re good too, they like bright, abstract art, but they can paint a landscape like bob ross. They can also kick your ass at racing games, they’re the type of person to choose rainbow road bc they know they’ll win hfjfhkgj
I haven’t nailed down where they live yet, but Val likes a lot of places! But if you take them to an art museum you’ll be there all day HFJFG. They also like cafe’s, specifically locally owned ones. Parks are cool too, LOVES to see the dogs!
Val enjoys art, all kinds of art, SO much. It’s just cool! You make things! That’s so beautiful! They love their family and friends, hanging out w ppl they love is the highlight of their week.
And then we have Leon GJKCVJ. He diesnt count as an oc bc he’s based on Leon Kuwata from DR, but I’ve changed so much he’s not really that character anymore either lol. He’s schrodinger's character lmao
Leon’s hobbies are gaming, doodling (he likes markers the best) and writing shitty lyrics to songs he’ll never finish. He’s also a big fan of doing nothing
You’ll never get him to admit it, but he does actually like being outside. He doesnt like getting too hot, or sweaty, or bug-bitten, but he does like the freedom of being in a field and breathing free air. He also likes busy places like cities, he likes the aesthetic. He likes karaoke bars, and he’s been to quite a few mixers! He’s the type of person to invite his whole class at school, for the hell of it.
Leon enjoys freedom, specifically, what he thinks it is. He loves doing what he’s passionate about, whatever it is on a particular day. Despite this, music always remains something he can feel his soul connect to.

Do you have any fan casts or strong takes/feelings on the foxes’ appearances? Fandom tends to use the same Pinterest models, which feels wrong to me.
i do in fact! i've actually been meaning to make a post about how i choose to write all of the foxes' ethnicities anyway
but yes i absolutely agree that the typical pinterest model types u generally see on edits is not how i see any of them. nor is reece king or froy gutierrez or lucky blue smith one of my FCs for anyone
for a lot of them i don't necessarily have a single specific FC so much as i have like,, a general impression of features that i will see on various different people, who all may look wildly different from each other or who may not even look how i see the character as a whole but do have a specific feature i associate with them. mostly it boils down to the Energy i get tbh and that's just a Feeling i cant even explain
fun fact im a tiny bit face blind so that might account for some of why i'm so all-over about this
may as well go chronologically. some of them i definitely have more thoughts on than others
1. Dan
ethnicity: Afro Native (Sioux)
features: medium dark skin. buzzcut, killer fade. she often styles it in waves. she's very butch, wears a lot of basketball and cargo shorts, tank tops and flannels and jerseys, hiking boots. skinny but muscular, with a very rectangular body shape. defined jaw. probably like 5'4 or 5'5
FC/Energy: sometimes i get some dan energy out of janelle monae but more butch. lotta dan energy out of samira wiley. lashana lynch
2. Kevin
ethnicity: a lot of things tbd, but he's pretty multi-ethnic. i like the idea of kayleigh being half- or a quarter-japanese in addition to irish because it gives her more of a reason to go to japan for her undergrad. wymack is from d.c. which is a majority black city for its actual residents, but i also like the idea of him being Pasifika/Hawaiian. HOWEVER - and this is pretty important to my read of kevin's character - he's white passing, and has been mostly treated as a white guy who tans his whole life, like occasionally asked if he's italian maybe. learning that his father was a Distinctly Not White Man was a big shock to him.
kristin kreuk, lindsay price, phoebe cates, and marie digby are all half-asian actresses i base kayleigh on
i suppose i base his story partially on broadway actress carol channing, who revealed publically that she was a quarter black when she was like 80 years old. though maybe wentworth miller, a biracial actor who knows his father is black but also doesn't know him, is more accurate to kevin's story. then keanu reeves is a white passing actor with asian ancestry
also none of these people look anything like how i picture kevin lol. kevin is just like,, a guy. handsome ig. but kind of in a CW character kind of way
actually
kevin looks exactly like young jason momoa
3. Andrew
ethnicity: kayin/karen from myanmar
features: fat and muscular, very wide and heavy. this blog is basically all andrew body type refs. medium-olive skin, has a bit of a greyish tinge that makes him look a bit eerie or unhealthy. deep set, droopy eyes; looks so tired. flat face with a low-bridged nose. crooked teeth, especially his canines. natural hair black-ish but he bleaches it light blond. has the beginnings of martial artist punching callouses in his knuckles
FC/Energy: holy shit the characters i feel have Andrew Energy are all over the place. pedro pascal. babe ruth (yes fr). oddjob (harold sakata) from goldfinger. the jinn (mousa kraish) from american gods. gaear grimsrud (peter stormare) from fargo. takeshi kovacs (joel kinnaman) from altered carbon. and i wanna be clear, it's these characters specifically, and generally NOT the actors outside of that specific role. except pedro ❤️
4. Matt
ethnicity: cuban
appearance: matt has more of an Energy than specific features to me rn. that energy is Warm. he has that Warm bro jock dude energy. kind of a marvel hero build, hunky and muscular. very rectangular face. has this haircut:
5. Aaron
i get to cut myself some slack and not go AS in depth about aaron because he and andrew are identical twins
ethnicity: kayin/karen from myanmar
appearance: similar build to andrew, less confident and casual posture and body language. less apathetically murderous and more emotive expressions. better teeth bc his mom took him to the dentist. yes also bleaches his hair
celebrities: probably a lot like the difference between the characters and the actors. andrew is the characters and aaron is how the actors actually look. idk ive never looked at someone and thought 'hey! looks like aaron!'
6. Seth
ethnicity: have been going with half-vietnamese. considering looking into various south asian possibilities like pakistani
appearance: string bean build. that's all i have to offer
7. Allison
ethnicity: allison's very up in the air for me. she and seth are the two foxes i feel fine with being white, but im committing to having no white foxes sooo. i would say i generally see her as either half-middle eastern or chinese
appearance: plus sized and hourglass shaped. heart shaped face. taller, like 5'8 or 5'9. she has a pretty fraught history with her appearance and her parents payed for/pressured her into getting a nose job to have a 'prettier' nose. she also bleaches her hair blonde. she gets it done at a salon tho the twinyards do it in their bathroom
FC/Energy: elle king and nadia aboulhosn are my main inspos for her, esp body type but nadia esp in Vibes
8. Nicky
ethnicity: multi-ethnic. his mother is southern mexican Indigenous, possibly oaxacan. his father is mixed white/kayin
appearance: definitely takes after his mother while his father is white passing. dark brown skin, warm undertones. slightly stocky build. tall ovular head and thin aquiline nose. he's kind of just,, the opposite of the twins ig, so like their facial features look very different, which is a big part of why people don't make the connection between him and the twins alongside the difference in their skin tones, heights, and builds. nicky's build and features are very vertically-oriented, with a tall head, narrow-set eyes, thin nose with a high bridge, etc. the twins are horizontally-orienged, with broad, flat faces, wide-set eyes, wide noses with a low bridge, etc.
FC/Energy: yalitza aparicio, not a guy but one of the few Mexican Indigenous stars in the film industry and i really like her features for nicky. she's oaxacan
9. Renee
ethnicity: Black. african american
appearance: plus sized, circular/apple body shape. round face. dark skin. microlocs to a bit past her chin, bleached white and dyed at the ends. she and allison go to the salon together. femme but plain style, a lot of blouses and long skirts, practical shoes. knuckle callouses. about 5'6
FC/Energy: dominique fishback. tracie thoms, esp in RENT. gabourey sidibe. nicole byer, but not in Energy. brandy, for some reason, probably bc i think she has very serene Energy and is a little bit otherworldly. like if brandy played arwen or galadriel from lotr it would make perfect sense to me, and that's the Renee Energy™️
10. Neil
ethnicity: mixed. Black/Jewish on both sides. his father is polish ashkenazi and afro-brazilian. his mother is Black British and algerian jewish
appearance: very... sharp. like sharp all over. does that make sense? sharp features, sharp face shape, sharp angles to his body. he's got what i vaguely think of as a 'basketball build' not meaning tall but meaning very rangy and angular and lean. all limbs. seth has a similar build. lighter brown skin. he has waardenburg syndrome which is actually where he gets he gets his eye color, and his eyes are very large and widely spaced as well. freckles freckles freckles. freckles everywhere. 4a hair but at least during canon it's not very healthy and thus the curls aren't well-defined. he grows it out long enough to tie back and starts taking better care of it in post-canon. wonky, slightly crooked teeth, with a gap between the fronts
FC/Energy: now neil i actually have a ton for. mostly models which im a lil ashamed of bc i do try to draw more from athletes. alton mason is a main body type ref. mugsy bogues is good to see what i mean about the basketball build without the height. here're the boys: cykeem white, luka sabbat, désiré mia, Leo Hoyte-Egan, dylan hasselbaink, this beautiful stock photo model i've never been able to track down
i think about him every. goddamn. day.
in terms of like,, real ppl and not models: corbin bleu, especially during Jump In. figure skater elladj balde. rayan "ray ray" lopez from mindless behavior. A$AP Rocky a lil bit, maybe i just like his hairstyle idk
two more models i think are important: carissa pinkston and ralph souffrant
