A friendly and gentle reminder for those who administer Narcan to someone having an overdose: it will feel like HELL to the person you give it to.
Give it anyway. Do not feel discouraged from giving narcan to someone having an overdose. HOWEVER: keep in mind that they may get really upset, angry, violent, sick, etc. Narcan essentially sucks the drug out of the body as quickly as possible and that shit will hurt. Just make sure you keep this in mind to keep yourself safe as well <3
got this free pouch and pin from a local mutual aid organization! look out for your neighbors, sheltered or not, it's harm reduction summer!
#narcan#tw overdose#tw drugs#source: first aid certification#also it’s widely available as a nasal spray as seen here#ambulances still often have injectables tho

SINCERITY
Flirting with Suo is never a good idea—you can never tell whether he means to charm you or make fun of you when you do it. Sometimes it feels like both. Occasionally it feels mean. More often than not, you like to entertain it. But you can't right now, not when his blood is all over the washroom sink. Your manager will be furious about the mess, and also about the fact that you're giving first aid to three delinquents while you're on the clock. If Suo makes one more joke about marrying you, you'll probably throw up and cry. (Or: Suo, Nirei, and Sakura get into a fight in the red light district and go to you to get patched up. Suo takes the opportunity to tease you mercilessly.)
4.5k words, suo x reader with implied one-sided sakura x reader, sfw with mature themes. set post-canon (they are all 18-19 years old), non-canon backstory details for suo and sakura (speculative as of ch. 146). fem reader – references to gendered professions, e.g. hostessing; reader wears a dress for her job in a girls’ bar. warning for inaccurate depictions of first aid! dividers by @/cafekitsune.
Suo’s never liked your job.
You suppose this is fair. The feeling is mutual. You’ve never liked the fact that Suo chose to go to a delinquent school rather than a proper high school, and he’s never liked the fact that you chose to drop out of your proper high school to go work in the red light district—first at a kyabakura, and now at a girls’ bar. His master, who also happens to be your master, has always told you that this was a natural reaction on his part. Having a secondary school certificate is important, after all. But Suo’s disapproval of your income sources, no matter how politely or subtly phrased, has always felt like it runs deeper than simple concern for your education.
Still, this has never stopped him from visiting you at your place of work, though he only tends to come by under the worst possible circumstances—tonight worse than any other.
When you see the three of them limping through the clamour and heat of the red light district—the neon glow of the street making the blood smeared across Suo’s face shine vibrantly—you entirely forget that you're on the clock. You chuck your sign onto the ground (3000¥ per hour! it reads) as you cut a path toward them, almost tripping in your stiletto heels. Your customer service voice gives way to your regular one, which is so outraged that it startles everyone around you.
“Suo, you motherfucker—are you trying to lose the only eye you have left?!”
Suo is unbothered. His smile is calm and deeply shameless as you approach him. It’s nothing like Nirei, who cringes at the furious look you give him, or Sakura, who looks like a deer caught in headlights when you round on him instead. Like he doesn’t know what to do at the fact that someone is worrying over him, and especially not when that person is wearing an extremely revealing evening gown. For a minute, you think he's going to bolt.
But Suo keeps him there, grip tight on his arm.
“Hi,” he says brightly, like there isn't blood all over his face and shoulder. “Are you busy? We might need to trouble you.”
“Of course I'm busy! I'm in the middle of a shift!” you fume at him. But you still extract Sakura from him, scruffing him by the neck before he can clam up and run. You pull him in the direction of your bar, and gesture for the other two to follow. “Hurry up before my manager sees you.”
Smuggling three delinquents into the washroom of a girls’ bar is not a skill you thought you'd ever need, but it is one that you've become an expert in. This is at least the third time you've done it. The Furin trio rarely ever loses fights, but they occasionally slip up in the part of the red light district that isn't controlled by Roppo-Ichiza. This is somewhat unavoidable, as Keyaki Street is a different beast from Keisei Street. It isn't just delinquents here, but bona fide criminals. “Like, actual fucking Yakuza,” you grouse at Suo for the millionth time. You wipe at the blood remaining on his face—most of it you've already rinsed off, staining the melamine sink with iron—and the paper towel in your hand blooms red.
“But these guys weren't Yakuza,” he says cheerfully.
“They still pulled weapons on you! Bladed weapons!”
“Mm… well, that's true. I'm sorry.”
You scowl at him. “No, you're not.”
“No, I'm not.” He’s still smiling. “In our defense, we didn't have much of a choice. They were about to do something terrible to an innocent person,” he says, and you deflate a little, because you know Suo can't stand to see injustice. This is something you love very dearly about him, and also a quality of his that constantly raises your blood pressure. But then you roll your eyes when he happily adds, “And in my defense, it’s all our Captain’s fault!”
“Oi!” Sakura yells from one of the stalls, where he’s sitting and holding a bag of ice to a knot on his head. “Wasn’t my fault we ended up fighting. They were practically beggin’ to have their asses kicked.”
“You did provoke them, Sakura,” Nirei says. He's in the other stall, trying to stay off his sprained ankle.
“Well, they were dangerous! Not like you wanted to just leave them alone either,” Sakura grumbles, and Nirei apologises, though Suo accurately points out there is no need for him to. After hearing this story, you can't help but agree, and you suppose you shouldn't have expected any differently. After three years at Furin, Sakura is no longer the type to pick fights for no reason. Whatever those guys were up to must have been pretty bad for him to start shit in unfamiliar territory.
Still. The red light district is what it is. Touts, street gangs, and Yakuza are constantly causing problems here, with violence of a scale and nature that Bofurin simply don't see on their own turf. Your street in particular makes someone like Endo look like a joke. “You should still learn to exercise some restraint,” you say to Sakura. “And you”—you give Suo a miserable look—“you know the area. You should have known better. At the very least, you should have called me for backup.”
“But you were on the clock,” Suo points out, and you frown. Despite having absolutely no need, you take out an alcohol wipe and swipe it over his cut. He winces.
“I'm still on the clock now,” you reply, voice dry, “and here you are, distracting me anyway. My boss is going to be on my ass about it if I don't bring in any customers tonight, you know.”
“We can be your customers,” Suo offers.
“You aren't old enough to drink!”
“Neither are you, yet you work here.” His gaze has turned a little sharp. His voice too. You blink, suddenly mollified.
“...okay. If each of you buys a drink after this, I’ll call us even.” Then you glance down at his changshan, which is sliced through, the pearly silk stained red at the shoulder. He’s insisted that the wound is unserious and said that he'd rather clean up his face first, and you're starting to question his priorities. “That is, if you don't have to go to the hospital after this.”
“I don't.”
“I don't know if I believe you.” You pull out some polysporin. “Come closer.”
Suo could do this on his own. His hands aren't incapacitated. But he humours you, as he's always humoured you, and allows you dab his cut with the antibiotic. You feel a little sentimental as you do it, and almost a little sad. Doing this reminds you of when he was a kid who had just started learning martial arts. Granted, he never got any real cuts back then, but sometimes he’d scrape his knees or his elbows or—god forbid—his face, and you would plaster bandaids all over him when he did. But none of those were real injuries.
More than anything, doing this reminds you of when he lost his eye. The state that he was in after the accident. The way his face was bandaged after the surgery. The texture of the gauze against your fingers when you asked to try swapping out the dressings for him.
If Suo notices the way your lip is trembling, he doesn't comment on it.
“You’re so mean—how come you never believe anything I say?” he asks. You press the gauze to his cut with more pressure than necessary, and he blinks. He opens his mouth again, but then the door rattles violently.
“Sorry!” you yell. “Washroom’s closed for cleaning!” You wince as you hear complaints in reply—you’ve been closed for half an hour!—and shoot Suo a sour look as the customer leaves. “I’m really risking it all for you three,” you remark.
“I'll make it up to you,” Suo says. “I'll stick around the whole night and buy as many drinks as you want. Your manager won't be able to hassle you about anything then.”
“No way. You're not wasting that much money on the red light district.” You frown. “Master will kill me if I let you piss away your inheritance like that.”
“I’m not wasting my money on the red light district. I'm wasting it on you.”
“Well, I'm employed at a girls’ bar, so when you waste money on me, you are in fact spending it on the red light district.”
“Then you should quit so I can spend as much money on you as I want.”
“Quit and then live on what income?” You set aside the first aid kit and grab some more paper towel. “Take off your shirt.”
“Oh? Right here? Right now?” His eye goes wide. “How forward.”
Sakura coughs very, very loudly from the stall. If you weren't so used to Suo saying this kind of thing just to mess with you, you'd probably do the same. In fact, you'd probably choke on your spit and die on the spot. But as it is, you only sigh and start unbuttoning Suo’s changshan, starting at the high collar. Any sentimentality or concern you previously felt is quickly drowned out by annoyance.
“Suo.”
“Don’t worry—I don't mind,” he adds. “I thought you'd never ask. I just didn't think it’d happen here. And so suddenly.”
“Don’t do that. I can't do this today.”
“Don’t do what?” he says innocently. He lets you slip his changshan off one shoulder. To your relief, the cut does look very shallow—he’s too quick for anything other than a bullet to land a serious hit on him, you guess—but you still swallow when you see it. It looks like he's bled a lot more than he probably actually has.
Or you hope so, anyway.
“Joke like that,” you reply after a moment. “It's very mean.”
“I’m not joking about anything.” You feel his eye on you as you start dabbing at all the red on his skin, the paper towel in your hands blotting crimson as if with ink. Your breath shakes as you study the wound. He lifts his hand, his knuckle brushing against your cheek. You smack it away, but he doesn't seem bothered. “I was being very serious,” he continues. “Quit working in the red light district and let me support you instead.”
“Suo,” you say, your voice flat, “there is no job you could qualify for on this planet that will let you earn more than what I'm making now. If anything, you should let me support you.”
“Ah,” he says brightly. “I get it now—you want me to be your trophy husband!”
Now you are choking on your spit and you do think you're dying. Sakura sounds like he's not doing much better—something bangs loudly against the washroom stall, and you assume it’s his forehead. Even Nirei is affected, not-so-subtly clearing his throat.
“I do not want you to be my trophy husband.”
“Just a regular husband, then?” he asks. “That’s alright. If I joined the Yakuza, I could make plenty of money. You could even stay at home if you wanted.”
“Suo you motherfucker you are not joining the fucking Yakuza! And I wouldn't be a stay at home wife!”
“Oh? You wouldn't want to be?”
“No, god! Do you know how much I could make if I scored a hostess gig at a high-end place? Why would I ever turn down that kind of money?!”
“Ah, so you want us to be dual income?”
“Of course I would want us to be dual income!”
“You could get a different job and we could still be dual income.”
“There’s no other job that would pay as well.”
Suo sighs, and your brow twitches. You've always been suspicious about why he disapproves of your choice in career. It’s not in his disposition to judge people, but sometimes you still worry that he's doing it to you.
“What,” you ask, “would you be so against marrying a hostess?”
“No, not at all. But I'd be worried if my spouse worked somewhere unsafe. What if you end up at a Yakuza-owned club?”
You pause, startled at the abruptly earnest tone of his voice. Suddenly you feel guilty.
“Oh… well, I wouldn’t work at a Yakuza-owned club.”
“Hm… then I guess it's fine.” Suo nods, as if arriving at a decision. “We’ll get married, we’ll be dual income, and neither of us will work for the Yakuza.”
“Yes, exactly. We’ll get married, we’ll be dual income, and neither of us—” Your eyes go wide as you realize what you're saying. You feel yourself flushing. “Wait.”
“What? Is there a problem?”
“Suo.”
“Don’t tell me you're going to change your mind now. That would just be mean.”
“I'm being mean?” you ask, flabbergasted.
“Well, yes. You don't think it would hurt if you changed your mind about marrying me? And so soon after agreeing, too.”
You stare at him in disbelief. You have a number of possible retorts that cross your mind, and somehow you pick the least relevant one: “You can't trick someone into marrying you.”
“Then can I trick you into dating me?”
“Suo! I said don't do that!”
“Don’t do what?”
“Joke about that kind of thing!”
“I'm not joking about anything.”
“Yes you are? You don't actually want to date me. Stop saying that you do!”
Suo leans in. He stares at you, his gaze distinctly vulpine. It's very attractive, and also intimidating, and you should be used to it by now, but your heart rate ticks up anyway. You swallow thickly as his thumb glides along your cheek again, your skin scorching beneath his fingertips. You forget to bat his hand away this time.
“You’re so mean,” he repeats, voice lilting, “how come you never believe anything I say?”
He's baiting you. He's obviously baiting you, and you consider for a moment whether you want to bite.
Flirting with Suo is never a good idea—you can never tell whether he means to charm you or make fun of you when you do it. Sometimes it feels like both. Occasionally it feels mean. More often than not, you like to entertain it. But you can't right now. His shirt’s stained with such a bright red that it keeps distracting you, just like the blood he's left all over the washroom sink. Your manager will be furious about the mess, and also about the fact that you're giving first aid to three delinquents while you're on the clock. You think they'd go broke before they could spend enough money here to appease her, were she to discover the four of you. You might even lose your job. Then you wouldn't be able to support yourself anymore, let alone Suo, who cracks jokes as easily about being your trophy husband as he does about being Leonardo DiCaprio.
If he makes one more joke about marrying you, you'll probably throw up and cry.
“You're not being very gentlemanly right now,” you finally point out. He raises a brow.
“No?”
“No. I'd even say you're being a menace, actually. Doing a very bad job of”—you almost laugh as you say this, because you've heard this speech so many times—“engaging with my feelings. Not being supportive at all. Really falling off the staircase to adulthood, you know.”
Suo studies you. Something complicated passes through his eye before he pulls away, his expression now back to normal. It's deceptive how innocent he looks.
“Sorry,” he says. “You’re right. I’ll play nice.”
“No, you won't,” you retort, and Suo smiles at you, not replying. But he does give you a break. You finish cleaning up the cut without incident, although you do get flecks of blood on your evening gown, which you hope won't be too noticeable against the black satin. You bemoan the lost cause of Suo's changshan too—made of Suzhou silk, a gift from your master—and silently make a note to buy him a replacement sometime.
You're in the middle of buttoning up his shirt when the door clicks and swings open. Met face to face with your coworker, you freeze up.
Your stage name leaves her mouth in an angry bark. “What are you doing? I told you you're not supposed to be having sex with customers here, you should be doing that someplace—” She stops, evidently spotting the blood on Suo’s shirt, and then the other two individuals locked up in here with you, one of whom is blushing violently and looks to be on the verge of dying from embarrassment. Beneath your hands, you feel Suo’s body go stiff too.
“Oh,” she says before either of them can comment. “It’s just your delinquent boyfriend and his buddies.” Suo waves at her, and she nods back before squinting at the sink. “Are you going to clean that up?”
“Yes,” you say quickly. “Please don't tell our boss.”
“Have I ever ratted you out?” she asks. “Just get out of here soon. People do have to piss, you know.” Then she stops, looking at Suo with a dubious expression. “And make sure your boyfriend doesn't die.”
You're too tired to correct her on the nature of your relationship. “I've been trying,” you say, and she gives you a sympathetic look before retreating. You hear her laughing with a customer about people fooling around in the washroom, and I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, sir, and could you please go downstairs while I clean up. You’re so relieved, you nearly fall to your knees. A calloused hand touches your back as you rub your temples.
“I’m sorry for worrying you,” Suo says quietly—sincerely—and instead of saying no, you're not, you reply, “I know. I’m sorry too.”
Suo’s always hated your job.
He’s always hated your job, your boyfriends, your apartment, and a lot of other things about your life that Sakura doesn’t have any business prying into. And it's just as well. Sakura also hates your shitty job, and your shitty boyfriends, and considering that you live in the same shitty building as him, he isn't a fan of your rental situation either. Nirei’s too polite to say anything about it, but Sakura can tell that he disapproves as well. It’s not like any of them are living the most comfortable lives either—Sakura has personally been living from shithole to shithole, mostly alone, ever since his parents passed—but your lifestyle does make them all feel poorly.
You're just a very easy person to like. And it's very easy to want nice things for you. So Sakura gets it, how Suo feels about you.
What he doesn't quite get is how Suo acts about you.
One thing he’s learned over the years is that Suo is very good at reading people. Sometimes he understands Sakura better than Sakura understands himself, and he can convince Sakura to do things which he himself didn't think were possible for him to do. He's done the same with Nirei, and about half the other people in their grade, and at least a third of the guys in Bofurin. It’s frankly a terrifying skill. But Suo never uses it with you—not to get you to change jobs, or boyfriends, or even apartments.
At first Sakura thought that you were just immune to Suo’s tactics, but he's recently come to realise that Suo simply gets too emotional about you to know how to convince you of anything. He’s even emotional enough to get kind of petty and a little mean with you, which is something that Sakura has only witnessed from Suo during fights. Really bad fights.
It’s terribly uncomfortable, especially when you’re clearly head over heels for Suo.
Sakura doesn't have any business prying into your personal problems. Though truthfully, he’d be happy to thrash some random assholes for you anyway, if that would fix your heartbreak. (He's already done this to at least one of your exes, and it worked shockingly well.) The problem is, Suo is not a random asshole and Sakura isn't sure that you'd want him thrashed in the first place. But it's just fucking painful watching the two of you act like this around each other, so he ends up pulling Suo aside after you kick them out of the girls’ bar, scowling.
Suo looks at him, surprised. “Sakura? What's the matter?”
He doesn't mince words. “How come you were being such a dick to your friend?”
Nirei goes stiff. “Sakura,” he says in his panicked ‘why are you trying to pick a fight now’ voice, “where is this coming from? I don't think Suo was being rude…” But Sakura can tell, as Nirei’s finishing his own sentence, that he's second-guessing himself.
“No,” Suo replies. “I was being a bit terrible, wasn't I?” There’s no humour in either his words or his face, but the corner of his mouth lifts. He actually looks endeared. “I'm surprised you noticed, Sakura.”
“I mean”—Sakura feels himself going red, embarrassed at just the memory of how you looked at Suo; first so worried, then painfully fond, and then like you were going to burst into tears right there in the washroom and ask him to hold you, as if you were in a horrible getsuku drama—“it was kinda hard not to.”
Suo nods. “I suppose it’s natural to be sensitive to the feelings of someone you like.”
Heat floods his face. “I don't like her!”
“Did I say you did?” Suo’s mouth curls when Sakura can't answer. “Don’t be embarrassed. She's a very easy person to like.”
Sakura tries his hardest to ignore Suo—which should be easy, because Suo lies randomly and pointlessly all the time, whenever he thinks it's funny—and says, “If she's an easy person to like, how come you act like you don't like her at all?”
“Was I acting like that? Or was she acting like it was impossible for someone to like her?” Sakura stops. Suo gives him a long look, then smiles. “You would know how difficult it can be to accept being liked, Sakura. And how long it can take to understand that there are people who want to support you unconditionally.”
Sakura opens his mouth once, twice. A third time. Nirei sighs. The two of them watch as Suo—rather than walking in the direction of the subway—steps over to a vending machine and buys a bottle of oolong tea.
“Are you going to wait for her shift to finish?” Nirei asks.
“Mm, I think so.” Suo glances down at his ankle. “But you should go home, Nire-kun. You can’t fight like that. In case those guys come back here, I mean.” He opens the bottle, takes a sip. “They had bladed weapons. It would be bad if you risked it.”
Nirei glances at the entrance to your bar, worried. “But…”
Sakura understands without Nirei finishing his sentence. The security at your bar is terrible, and plenty of people like to exploit that. It was Nirei who noticed a group men eyeing you before anyone else did, following you all the way from Keisei Street to your place of work. And sure, Suo kicked the shit out of them in the end, did much worse to them than vice versa—but who knows if there aren't more of them.
Suo hates your job. All three of them do.
“It’s okay,” Sakura says. “I'm sure the two of us will be enough.”
“...I'll ask Tsubaki if he's free,” Nirei finally relents. “And I'll text Kiryu and Tsugeura too.”
“Thanks, Nire-kun.”
Suo gets a bottle of ramune after Nirei leaves, passes it to Sakura. Tsubaki comes by later, still in his pole outfit, with several pieces of taiyaki for them to share—I’m always snacky after dancing, he explains—and the three of them loiter in front of your bar until four in the morning. Tsubaki asks questions about you in a tone that has Sakura wanting to crawl into an alleyway just to hide, and Suo deflects masterfully with questions about Tsubaki’s new boyfriend. The guys from earlier don't show up. Maybe the sight of Roppo-Ichiza’s top fighter scares them off.
You're surprised to see them there when you emerge a little later. You give Tsubaki a happy but perplexed look as he hugs you.
“Tsubaki? What are you doing here?”
“Keeping these two company,” he replies. “And I wanted to say hi, of course. You should come by the club sometime, you know! I haven't seen you in forever.”
“Sure! That would be nice, but…” You turn to Sakura and Suo, puzzled. “Why are you guys still here?”
Sakura, on instinct, nearly recounts the whole evening to you—about the men tailing you, about how they got into a fight, about the kind of things they said they'd do once they caught you—but Suo answers first.
“Troubling you again,” is all he says. “It’s fine since your shift is over now, right?”
You give the two of them a long, curious look. For a moment, you look worried, but you're eventually disarmed by Suo’s expression.
“I guess it's fine,” you reply. You sound so happy. Suo’s gaze goes soft, and Sakura has to force himself not to look away. “Let's hurry up and go home.”
You smile at them, and it's the kind of smile that makes it very easy to like you. The kind of smile that makes it natural to want nice things for you. The kind of smile that would make anyone emotional, even if they're normally very controlled. It makes something in Sakura squeeze tightly, all knotted up and painful.
He’s starting to understand why Suo acts the way he does around you.
END
this wasn't meant to be a love triangle, my apologies…
this was also meant to be a very short piece (like 500w lol), but I kept thinking about what suo’s backstory might be, and why he was so comfortable in the red light district in the manga, and what these guys might realistically act like in an aged up, romantic context. that all coalesced into this very bizarre fic LOL. I'm not sure how it'll land, but I hope someone out here enjoyed it! I would like to write more about this triangle (+ nirei) but I'm not sure what the level of interest would be, or if it'll even make sense with the manga. I guess we’ll see eventually!
in any case, thank you for reading!! <3

Prayer to Ares for the Safety of a Soldier
Bold-hearted Ares, bright-helmed son of thundering Zeus and noble Hera, well-honored god of war, any battle will you face, any foe will you fight, without fear and without hestitation. Ares, god of warriors, ally of those who risk their lives on the field, to you do soldiers offer their prayers. You know each one’s name, O Ares, you know their lives, you know their worth. Great Ares, I pray to you, watch over ____________ who heeded your call, who practices your art, whose name you know well, for s/he is one of your own who does you honor with each day s/he serves. Ares, I pray to you.
In general
Bright-helmed Ares, strong of arm and stern of visage, firm of stance, unyielding of will, ever ready to face any foe, to hold the line against all who may come, to battle until the end. Ares, son of noble Zeus and wise Hera, cherished by golden Aphrodite, honored by those who call on you for strength and courage, in the north were you much honored in times of old, in Thrace and Thessaly were you held in esteem by those whose lives were harsh, whose world was stony, whose comforts were hard-won. Ares who answers the prayers of the despairing, I honor you
For Courage
Ares, fierce-hearted son of Zeus and noble Hera, full-famed you are as god of war. To you do soldiers pray when battle is most heated, when mettle is most needed. To you as well do we turn in desperate times, to you do we call for strength, for the spirit to endure. You understand the terror of struggle and strife, you confront it in every way. Ares, your courage is unquestioned, your might and your prowess unequaled. Ares, friend to those in direst need, I pray to you, grant me the nerve to face what must be faced, grant me the will to do what must be done, grant me the heart to forge ahead.

BIG HELP TO

Ares is the Greek god and patron of many things, he is the edge of the sword while you hold the soft side, no god can be the god of war without the bloodshed, he is an amazing god, we love Ares here.
I use resources, I do not own the info, and most deep dives have UPG (that I use in my work.) And I only take some information from sources. I am 14, this is my hobby, I am learning but I spent many hours and days on this, and I am always open to criticism. I have been doing worship for 5 years. Please know you can use the info, I do not sue, but I will take action if this work is used without permission and not put as a resource if used in any work. without permisson and not put as a resource if used in any work, for the public.

I would LOVE a post on putting together first aid kits, I always read about it and get overwhelmed and short out so maybe if someone whose writing I already know i can parse explains it I'll actually finish putting mine together :|
I might go one to write something more involved later but I thought I'd jot down my initial thoughts here.
--
Let me preface all of this by saying I don't have extensive medical training. I got my CNA license like a decade ago and used to be certified for basic search and rescue. So take all of this with a grain of salt and cross reference with other sources.
First Aid Kit supplies tend to fall into a few categories:
Supplies that help you get someone to emergency care
Supplies that help you get someone to primary care
Supplies that help you self treat without seeking care
All of these categories can go pretty deep and it's easy to get overwhelmed. Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good.
Supplies in each category can be helpful in other categories. I've just grouped them according to their primary use case in my personal kits.
Getting Someone to Emergency Care
The most important aspect of responding to an emergency is knowledge so keeping an updated First Aid/CPR certification is ideal even if you don't need it for work or another position.
If you can't make it to a class, the Red Cross has a first aid app that you can download and review. While 911 can guide you how to respond to some emergencies over the phone, it's always helps to be familiar with best practices beforehand.
Aside from that a lot of supplies can be on the more expensive side.
Some supplies I included in some of my kits:
Tourniquet
SAM splints + medical tape
Quick Clot (cloth, not powder)
Trauma Sheers
Steri-strips
Aspirin
If you don't have the money for these supplies, don't fret. Cheaper things that would be helpful in similar situations would be
ace bandages (improvised tourniquet)
safety pins (improvised sling)
washcloths and hand towels (to aid compression)
Getting Someone to Primary Care
Though depending on where you live and how the health care system works these could overlap with getting someone to urgent care (step below emergency care).
The import part of this category is twofold - you need information to give a primary care/urgent care physician to help diagnose and treat and you need to keep someone comfortable/from getting worse.
Keep a Record
If you take nothing else from this post, it's this - take notes. The format is simple - date, time, observation. Don't worry if you observation is "dumb" or you don't know the right words; any changes you think could be noteworthy, write down.
Take it with you when you or the person you're caring for goes in to be seen. Jot down a brief summary of the visit (name of facility, name of provider, symptoms discussed, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, plan of care/follow up) in case you need to seek care with a different physician (specialist, ER, etc).
Taking Vitals
Ideally, you'll want to be able to check a person's vitals. So these pieces of equipment can help:
Thermometer*
Pulse Oximeter
Automatic blood pressure cuff
While I recommend all of this, if you can only get one of these, I'd pick an oral thermometer personally since it's very difficult to tell the difference between different stages of a fever with your hand alone and can be found for pretty cheap. Be sure to wash it off after each use so as not to spread gems.
If you can't purchase the others, make sure you know how to take a pulse accurately, count respirations, and know the signs of low oxygen and blood pressure issues.
Keeping Someone Comfortable
This greatly depends on what a person is experiencing, but in general you'll want to fill what you can of these:
Painkiller
Fever reducer
Anti-histamine
Cough suppressant
Rash cream
Sleep support
I cannot recommend specific ones for each category since everyone has such specific needs. If you're concerned about picking the right ones for you, your doctor can make recommendations.
Fluids and rest are generally helpful in keeping someone comfortable and stable.
Treating Someone at Home
This is where the band-aids live. Most of what people think of when they think first-aid tend to be things in this category.
This is also one of the most difficult ones to give specifics on because people vary in their needs so widely. What might be a fairly common occurrence for me might be rare for you and vice versa.
So instead of theorizing what you might need, I'll talk about what I have in mine. Hopefully seeing my thought process helps you.
Bandages
When bandaging a wound, you need to clean it and then put on an absorbent layer and a cover to keep out debris.
I use alcohol pads to clean wounds and band-aids (since they are absorbent layer and cover in one) for small wounds. Most cuts and scraps only need this.
For larger wounds I keep some gauze pads and cohesive wrap to cut to size.
Ointments
Some wounds need further treatment. Some things need treatment to prevent them becoming wounds.
I keep triple antibiotic to put on wounds that are at a higher risk for becoming or have become infected.
I keep sting relief pads for insect stings and bites to prevent me scratching at them into wounds.
I keep burn gel for burns (including sunburns).
I keep hydrocortisone and calamine lotion for rashes.
I keep lavender balm for sleep/muscle tension and muscle balm for muscle strains.
For Blisters
This gets it own little section in each of my kits since I get blisters pretty often. Remember folks, the sooner you catch a hotspot or blister, the easier it is to treat.
I keep hydrocolloid bandages for blisters and athletic tape for hot spots. A lot of them.
If they open, then they're effectively a wound and I treat them similarly. But generally I try to prevent that.
Miscellaneous
I keep a tick remover (card style) because I find it easier than tweezers (though I have those too).
I keep instant cold compress packs - especially in our "sport" kit that's in the car my partner takes to her full contact sport. Her most common injuries have been jammed fingers and nail bent back - cold packs are great for both. They're also great for treating heat exhaustion, especially when you're away from a building with good AC.
In a similar vein, I specifically have several finger SAM splints coming in for that kit.
Gloves. Seriously they're so useful, I use them all the time. Dying my hair, chopping up spicy peppers, using cleaning products that might make me break out, keeping my hand clean for treating a wound, sexy times - they're good for all sorts of things.
12cc syringe in our sport kit for filling with water and flushing out bigger wounds (like scrapes from falls) away from home.
I'm probably forgetting some other things but I think this covers most of it.
Conclusion
I know this is a lot. There's no need to go out and get things all at once.
I started collecting supplies slowly when I was in college. I just established a box as my first aid kit and decided it would always live under my bathroom sink. When stuff came up, I grabbed supplies for it and then kept the extras (throwing out the medications as they expired).
If you make a list for yourself, you can grab things proactively when you have a little left over in your budget or they're on sale. Prioritize things based on what you think you're most likely to use.
Need to start small? A box of bandages, oral thermometer, painkiller/fever reducer, and an antihistamine are better than nothing and a great start to build on once you have more resources.
I hope this helps someone out!

recreyo god au
Curt Richy – God of the Insignificant
this is mostly based on how he’s always able to get himself into places. He’s a teacher at multiple anime academies, an b-class in the scp foundation, a government member in the mandala catalog, etc.
the abnormalities i headcanoned for him are also more unnoticeable, only showing when he lose emotional stability (?)
Ivan Animated – Deity of Reason
his god form is kinda just.. um.. empty matter? he basically just evaporates into nothing and expands his presence to sense things. im not sure why he’s the deity of reason, perhaps because he’s pretty reasonable at times and i wanna have it connect to cause-and-effect and stuff
Cypher Den – God of Chaos
she inherited her godhood by defeating and consuming the previous chaos god, so she's not... unkillable. You just need someone strong enough to defeat and consume her... Unlikely.
while she has full control over her tentacles and can wield them to her hearts content, she actually prefers physical combat like she would before godhood. so, what to do with her "extra-limbs" while she's stabbing people? that's where the "stolen souls" come into play.
the previous chaos god was notorious for stealing souls to extend his own life. when he was defeated, den absorbed what was left of him. the souls now resided in her mind, forming a community and… somethings of political parties? den speaks to them, more often accidently rather than on purpose, her hyperattentive brain broadcasting her thoughts to the stolen souls, supplying topics for the parties to debate about. they are currently discussing whether water is wet or not as we speak.
amongst the abnormalities that signaled her godhood, a large yin-yang symbol was found on her back, rotated sideways so the two dots are on one horizontal line, where her tentacles would sprout. the souls on the two sides of the argument each take a side, diverging and splitting into more tentacles as their opinions and reasonings differ. this way, the souls with the most similar ideas would be controlling the same tentacle collectively, without much conflict. in addition, if under any case, den would required usage of her tentacles, she has full abilities to override the souls and take over.
Chilly Panda – God of Reptiles
a descendant of ancient beast tamers, a small group under the title of the kimono clan (ivan wtf). her mother has been absent throughout her life (mummy episode reference lmao), she was raised by dad (recreyo’s dad in the death note episode) with to no clue about her powers, other than the lizards that tend to pause and stare as she passed by.
until a trip to a luxury resort island with her friends. accidents occurred and she found herself suffering the loss of a right forearm and an extra impractical eye on her forehead.
when the raptors bowed down to her, they submitted themselves as her followers, awakening her powers. had the incident not ascend her to a demi-god state, perhaps she would have lived and died as a mortal. almost like a certificate for her abilities, her third eye allowed her to summon raptor companions, sadly only along with a ritual pattern.
first time she called them to her aid, it was regarding the issue of her severed arm. chilly requested them to source her a limb as replacement, but perhaps she wasn’t clear enough, they watched as one of them ripped off it’s arm and offered it to the demigod. shrugging, chilly handed it to ivan, who was forced by den’s knife to complete the process of sewing the raptor claw onto chilly. it was his fault after everything.
Frugal Aesthetic – Deity of flame
he didn’t know how it happened. one day he was doing his job of a freelance therapist, and another day passed and he was hearing people whisper their troubles. actually no. that was a joke, the first sentence. the last one in his spot retired, and suppose they found he the most worthy in the blood line.
now he’s gotta listen to random people’s troubles. at least he’s immortal now, wielding fire is also pretty lit.
(this is basically connected dr.ake with the fact that a lot of people whisper their troubles to candles before blowing them out to symbolize blowing their troubles away
prolly didn’t make sense but i can’t think of anything. he’s pretty much just a minor god that listen to people vent and can wield fire)
Kristine Fel – God of Deceit
you’d think being a god of deceit would make her good at lying. or maybe she is. although, how was she to know when the lies overflow and come back to confuse the liar? the world is constructed on lies. so hard to find honesty woven in between everything.
(as god of deceit, kristine can shapeshift into anything. her true form- or is it another lie she tole? is a twig of two sakura flowers)

Hey it's that phleb facts guy(if I remember right I think I sent asks to this blog)! I'm done with my education! I just need to take my certification exam!
I also saw your post on Phlebotomy in relation to sangarianism. There are good online vendors. Online vendors are especially great for mobility aids and other important supplies. I don't know about venipuncture supplies tho. Do get certified to reduce risk. It is a good job on its own but note good pay is travel or insurance phlebs. I would still go with the typical lancet/scaple poke approach for feeding though. Venipuncture is an easier route but do KNOW what your doing. Day one of class was literally hey heres what happens if you screw up.
Good luck on your exam! And I definitely plan on getting certified, hopefully sometime soon since life is starting to even out a little. And I appreciate the serious note, I hope I havent made light of venipuncture in the past, since it is an option some vamps take for feeding, it can be talked about in the community with some nonchalance, but that has led some people to come at it thinking they dont have to educate themselves. I've had to be pretty stern with a couple of people who were even thinking of using venipuncture as their very first feeding method... I've heard that community colleges tend to be the place to go to take classes, at least in the US, but I'd be curious if there are other really solid sources that professionals use for learning.

Hi there! I know that this is really out of the blue but im asking for a favor or some help w/ my cats current medical needs. Please if you have an extra time to boost/share it for us so that we could get some traction or it could reach more people, it would definitely help a ton! I understand if its not okay, Im so sorry for taking some of your time and I wish you to be safe and healthy always, xx.(Please considering answering my ask privately or probably hit me a msg if its fine! 😭🙏
Hi! I will choose to not reblog it and I will give exactly the reason why so in case you are a genuine person you might get the problem and be able to address it and give a reason as to why you just have a blog that is just like any other scam asking for help.
You have posted the post about your cats on February 3rd
Nothing strange there.
Now your blog is very bare bones. It doesn't even have the custom Tumblr URL showing up. No theme. Just an icon, banner and description.
Again... Not that strange on it's own. But! You have archive disabled.
Which seemingly stops me from checking when your first post was created. But in the end that's not necessary because scrolling down a bit makes me able to find it easily. Too easily.
Posted on... February 3rd. The exact same day the post asking for help was created. In fact not even an hour before your asking for help post. And this is not a side blog. You sent me an ask after all.
You know how many scam financial aid stuff I get in my inbox? I reblogged stuff that ended up being a scam before. At this point I only reblog after doing a bit of a check.
Because you know, there are real people in need of help, people I will look and have old Tumblr blogs with posts of their own and clear interests. Not some reblogged posts of what's on the popular tags and suddenly a post asking for help.
Your blog looks like many scam blogs exploiting the kindness of people who want to help. Why would you have a need of making a whole new Tumblr account with a new email, reblogging some random posts before posting a post asking for monetary aid not even 20 minutes later?
And you only want people to answer to your ask privately. You don't want it to be known you asked for it. Because if I just reblogged your post it would seem more trust worthy. I reblogged a post from the source. "Maybe they even know the person" my followers might think. You even followed me because I will be so much more willing to reblog it if it means I get a new follower who's definitely interested on hearing me talk about Minecraft YouTubers on the daily.
And I'm sorry if you're telling the truth and I sound cruel (And I hope your cat gets well soon if that's the case) but... I don't feel well making my followers possibly giving money to a possible scam because I promoted it. You have to prove to be an actual blog, genuine person, for me to actual consider reblogging a post asking for money.
And in part I am answering this because your post seems ok. Believable. But I also know the ability of Tumblr scammers I have fallen for some beforehand. Because even though your cat pictures seem to have originated on your post that doesn't really change much because I could share a photo that I took of a cat last week, that was never on the internet, and do this
I am so sorry to have to ask for this but my cat, Plinko, had to go to the vet because he was breathing weird.
Now the doctor has said we need to do more tests and with possible medication it can be quite a lot of money.
I am asking for $300 for now but things might get worse. :(
So please if you can help (you don't have to) it would be really appreciated if you helped with the costs. 💜
Ca$happ: xxxxxxx
It's not difficult. The certificate you showed? Not difficult to make in Word. There's not a single signature from a veterinarian (which you could fake anyway), neither a stamp (more difficult to fake)
This logo is available online in a transparent format.
So is this one...

Research, I hate it. But how do you do it anyways?
Research! My favorite! 😍 It’s also my IRL job… so, you’ve come to the right place. Pull up a chair.
- - - - - - - - - -
In writing, I usually do the first draft as quickly as possible and then mark out the places that need more detail. For example, if I’m writing something where the character has to use technical skills, I’ll just insert brackets. In the brackets goes this comment in pink letters, so it’s easy for me to spot during revisions: [Character fixes it in a really cool way.]
Then I move on. When I get to the second draft, I’ll go back and research and fill in the details.
Documentaries are a great resource, because it gives a visual representation of what’s being done. Since I have to describe the process when I write this is ideal. Reddit threads are really helpful for POV experience with different activities and emotions. What is it like to live with bipolar disorder? I don’t know. But someone on Reddit probably posted about it extensively. This is a fantastic place for primary source documentation of life experiences. Going out and doing something yourself, if possible, is often the best form of research. For example, if I was going to put a character in a scene that required snow shoeing, I could definitely do that in my area. (Because I don’t want to have to re-learn how to walk, and fall on my face, I haven’t done it myself. However, for the sake of a story, I’d try it.)
User manuals are a fantastic resource for learning about guns, industrial machinery, cars, and electronic devices. I don’t know how a satellite phone works, but if I want to learn, the manufacturer has a guide on their website. I can use that information to make my character look smart. If they’re following the correct procedures to fix a device, it instantly shows their knowledge and readers can draw conclusions about them based on that information.
The comment in brackets method helps me narrow down exactly what needs to be researched for the most efficient use of time. However, I often find researching a topic inspiring. It sparks new ideas and thoughts about the plot. For this purpose, I sometimes just dive in and see where the internet surfing takes me. I also keep a notebook handy for storing random ideas and thoughts that I don’t know how I’ll use, but they seem cool.
If you’re asking about medical research, I work in the medical research field, so that’s quite a bit easier for me than most people.
One good tool for trauma is the ISS scale. It’s an abbreviation for “Injury Severity Scoring.” This is how we calculate someone’s probability of survival after an injury. We can also extrapolate from that data to measure the performance of trauma centers, EMS personnel, and surgical interventions. The scale goes from 1-75 with a 75 being a fatal injury. There are guides to using this method online and descriptions of what each injury is and how they’re weighted. The ISS scale has been used since the 1960s. After decades of improvements and revisions, it’s very accurate. (If you need more details, I can show you how to use it. Or even run the numbers for you.)
Having a background in EMS (and a little SAR experience) is a great help to my writing. I’d recommend anyone who can go get a certification for first aide, basic/advanced EMT (or anything similar) that’s accessible to you.
Being able to do something during a disaster is very empowering. It will serve you well beyond your writing career. I’m sure automation and other technologies will change a lot in the future, but you can’t ask a machine to pry you out of the vehicle that you wrapped around a tree. Paramedics have great job security on that front.
Here are my final recommendations:
Documentaries
A few ideas: DW Documentaries on YouTube. They’re a very neutral perspective because they’re produced by the German state news channel. As an American, I find that they’re far enough away from our sphere of influence to make content that challenges some of my pre-conceived assumptions that come from a lack of international experience.
PBS frontline also has some interesting documentary content. ABC News in-depth is pretty good. 60 minutes Australia tends to be another great show for gathering information. Top Documentary Films is a website that offers a ton of free documentary films. Here is a link to their website.
Reddit threads
This is great for discovering how people feel and think about events that you haven’t seen or experienced yourself. There are posts from individuals in various communities with unusual life experiences and from different cultures and backgrounds. For example, I’ve not been paragliding, but I can read a play-by-play of what it feels like from some daredevil who does it every weekend. This is fantastic, because I don’t want to go paragliding. Like, at all.
Real life exposure
This is only when it’s possible. Real life experience is the best for medical exposure and physical activities.
User manuals
Read a user manual for things you don’t know about. There’s a lot of information on guns that can help you learn the proper terminology. For example, a clip is different than a magazine
You can apply this method to learn a lot about a particular weapon quickly. The Glock firearm has a website with links to their user manuals. I went to their information section and retrieved the user manual. Here’s pictures of some of their diagrams:
Reviewing the manual will only give you so much information. Having real life experience shooting a Glock will help you fill in those gaps. This is why that real life experience is still very important. For example, hitting the release mechanism for the Glock’s magazine requires you to stretch your fingers around the grip of the gun, particularly if you have smaller hands. In order to hit it with enough pressure for the magazine to drop is rather difficult with shorter fingers.
User manuals will allow you to identify the specific vocabulary, and give you a clear idea of how the gun works. As a bonus, this is the best tool to learn how to break something. If you want to learn how to throw a kink in the scene for your character and cause problems, check out the user manual. They tell you a lot about vulnerabilities and issues with devices. In my opinion, user manuals tend to be the most reliable source of information for a lot of things.
I hope this helped! Message me if you need anything. I’d be glad to talk about trauma medicine if you need specific details on realistic injuries.

Blast from the Past: The Demystification of the Delivery with Meghan Markle - Part 3 by u/Mickleborough
Blast from the Past: The Demystification of the Delivery, with Meghan Markle - Part 3 Wrapping up the (known) weirdness surrounding the birth of the Sussex firstborn. On 17 May 2019, the birth certificate was released.Note that it was only then - 11 days after the delivery - that the world learnt that Meghan had given birth at the Portland Hospital. Previously it had been all home births, not hospitals; midwives, not gynaecological consultants; alternative therapies; Doria studying to be a doula etc etc etc.Apparently Meghan was rushed to the Portland Hospital on the night of 5 May, where the child was born at 5:26 AM the next day. Note that the Portland Hospital’s a private hospital, which suggests advance bookings required - their website today refers to an agreed birthing plan. The Sussexes may have booked because the child was overdue. But maybe, due her desperate quest for privacy, Meghan let all believe that she still was going the home birth route. (So why give out misleading birth times, as per my previous post, in order to protect the privacy of the child when no one knew where it was?)Now read on…A Roach by any other nameOn the birth certificate, the mother was named as ‘Rachel Meghan’.What happened next is succinctly illustrated by these photographs and captions from the Daily Mail:But why? I hear you ask. From a royal perspective, changes to a royal birth certificate were unprecedented; the removal of the mother’s name even more so. There’s absolutely no need to do this. An insider said mysteriously: ‘It was changed to ensure consistency of the name and title of the Duchess with other private documents.’ What does this even mean? But why, I hear you ask again. Well, that depends very much to whom you put the question:- If you asked the Sussexes, they’d have told you that they were acting under Palace orders:A statement from the Sussexes. Interesting choice of words.- If you asked the Palace, they’d have said: We have no idea to what you refer. In response to the above statement, the Palace officially stayed silent - but useful ‘sources’ swiftly rebutted it. They stated that the changes were initiated by the Sussexes‘ Kensington Palace aides and had nothing to do with the late Queen nor the Palace. They diplomatically put the statement down to some erroneous communication by the Sussexes’ US PR team.A couple of unofficial theories were put forward:- This was a ‘snub’ to the then Duchess of Cambridge, whose first names were listed, as per the original birth certificate. I’d see this more as trying to distinguish herself from the DoC than a ‘snub’ - or maybe it’s a snub to be different.- Meghan was imitating Diana - on her sons’ birth certificates, her first names are not set out: she’s recorded merely as ‘Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales’, cf Meghan’s ‘Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex. Cosplay much, Meghan? The brain reels at the smallness of Meghan’s mind.Article on the birth certificate change: Daily Mail archived / unarchived post link: https://ift.tt/trIqGif author: Mickleborough submitted: October 04, 2023 at 09:53PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

Strategies to Help Pass Classes
I just finished my first semester as a graduate student with all As and these are some of the strategies that have helped me. I was one of those “naturally gifted” kids growing up and started to face burnout come college. I passed with a nice GPA, but there were many things I could have done to improve that I’ve used for this semester I’d like to share what can help people in similar situations.
See a therapist:
Easier said than done, I know, but the help they provide is invaluable. I wasn’t diagnosed with some stuff for a while, and once I was and we worked on ways to deal with it in different areas of life. Since then life became more manageable. DO NOT USE BETTERHELP! For people based in the USA Psychology Today is great, you can slim down the searches to your needs and always look up reviews of the person. Some campuses offer therapy as well; you could always try it out.
Annotating:
I thought I was too good for it in college and I have been uncomfortable with writing in books since I was young, even more so with ones I’m renting. I’ve tried using more sticky notes, underlining text lightly in pencil, and sticky tabs. It’s been such a huge game-changer! Sure you’ll have to remove all of those when it’s time to return the books, but it’s so worth it!
Grammarly or an alternative of your choice:
Yeah, the commercials are annoying, but it does a good job of cleaning up the little mistakes. I make so many spelling mistakes when quickly typing so I always put it through Grammarly. After that, for bigger assignments, I’ll print it out, take out the red pen and give it one more check over. It has saved me on so many projects and papers.
Map out your writing & Restate the question/items in the rubric in the writing:
I first tried this when completing my certification tests and it helped me to always score high on the essay portions. I tried applying it to my grad papers and I’ve experienced the same effect. Mapping out the writing, jotting down quotes/sources you want to use, as well as points you want to make in each paragraph helps to keep you on track. This prevents you from losing points and makes it easier to compare your paper to the rubric.
Write down a your due dates everywhere:
I mix up dates frequently so writing them down in my notes, on sticky notes, in my planner, and on my phone aids me in not thinking on top of my game and then gets jumpscared by a close due date I had forgotten. You can’t forget what’s constantly in front of your face.
Organize your files and save everything your professors give you:
In undergrad I didn’t organize anything, I didn’t receive too many handouts or PowerPoints but I still look back on some of the ones I have to this day to help me. Not to mention college is getting more and more expensive so take everything they give you without remorse. My advisor told me for my program to save everything and that was the plan. I try not to use Google Docs too much, I only use it for smaller drafts and then delete them once they’re transferred and completed. I recommend saving them to a hard drive, and organizing your files by Uni, Semester, then class. It makes me happy knowing I have a myriad of pdfs and links (even very recently written academic articles) that I can use and talk to my colleagues about. Being able to share this with coworkers makes me come across as a stronger and more valuable addition to the team which is a wonderful bonus!
Don’t be afraid to talk to your professors:
The name of the game is networking. You don’t have to be a teacher's pet but show some initiative. Actually read their comments! I know so many people who passed and don’t give a shit what notes the professor leaves. When I noticed a lower grade I talked to my professor about it and found out there was a formatting issue due to the program the uni used, it took a while to figure out but going forward I didn’t lose any more points. In a different course certain pieces of information the professor gave us on the final project didn’t match so I reached out to ask which was correct as well as some others given it was my first time writing this type of paper. They responded so fast and then sent an email to the rest of my peers addressing the inconsistencies. That saved me a lot of work and stress!
Rewards and relaxation:
There needs to be a balance between work and relaxation. I would get so worked up and be so hard on myself since this was my first semester and look at all my actions through a microscope to make sure I was doing enough. As I got more accustomed to my schedule I made more time for myself. Do things that make you happy when you can. Now rewards on the other hand acted as motivation. I am unfortunately a procrastinator, especially once I learn how long it takes me to do an assignment. I’m proud of myself for not doing papers last minute like in undergrad and that’s because I would break up certain tasks into days and create small rewards for myself. Example: I have assigned readings I have to do (highlight, annotate, and write a summary of main points and important page numbers in my notebook). Depending on how much reading there is I could either A. Get it all done and reward myself or B. Do about half of it, reward myself, then finish the other half. Rewards to me were like new episodes of a tv show or some time to play a video game. This now makes me feel more comfortable about doing more things when it’s time for summer classes.
Color coding:
To me, this means using a variety of colors when taking my notes. If I just take them in one color I find I have a harder time focusing when studying as well as recalling the information when I need it.
Don’t worry about writing a paper in order:
I struggle with introductions on papers so instead I get all of my body done so I don’t waste time and then work on the introduction. Even with topic sentences I make a note like [TOPIC SENTENCE] and highlight it so I know to go back to it once I finish the paragraph. Probably weird and niche but still figured I should include it lol

Hi there could you please provide sources of posie parker being homophobic? I'd like to look into it further. Thank you
Here's Posie saying that a lesbian couple shouldn't be allowed to be legally listed as mothers of the same child
LGBWithTheT on Twitter: "TW Homophobia Hate preacher Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker), exposed as supported by the far right, has tonight said: "There's a state in America that allows two women to be listed as parents on a birth certificate... Affirming parents as something they're not!" https://t.co/NPw1CU9e6q" / Twitter
Here's Posie literally yesterday (today is 17/04/23, vid is 16/04/23) saying a gay man didn't 'look gay' AND says this gay man has never fought for gay rights:
Aidan Comerford on Twitter: "While telling an anecdote about her experience in New Zealand at her event in Belfast this afternoon, Kellie Jay Keen questioned why a male protestor was at the LGBT+ counter protest saying, "HE DOESN'T EVEN LOOK GAY." You're not fighting for gay rights if you're following KJK. https://t.co/0dAibAZzlX" / Twitter
Also yesterday, her calling the LGBT+ community (not the trans community, the whole LGBT+ community) a bunch of 'men in dresses':
SpeakOutSister on Twitter: "Kellie Jay Keen says "the LGBT community is a bunch of f***ing men in dresses" at her Belfast rally. https://t.co/tGYsQI7A5p" / Twitter
Here's Posie saying the LGBT+ community (again, not trans, all of LGBT+) is trying to indoctrinate children:
LGBWithTheT on Twitter: "Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker) has gone FULL mask off in her latest video. She says: "The LGBT community is attempting to indoctrinate or groom children... We 100% agree with you, thank you for saying so!" https://t.co/dGfAk7izQO" / Twitter
Here are multiple videos of her showing contempt for the gay flag (again, not the intersectional flag with stripes for trans/POC/AIDS, just the OG rainbow flag). This includes a more than one instance of her rallying against a flag held by one of her lesbian supporters. Her issue with the gay flag, per the second video here, is that she equates the rainbow flag with misogyny:
LGBWithTheT on Twitter: "The mask is off... No lomger happy with just hating on trans people, Kellie-Jay Keen (aka Posie Parker) says about Dr @xandvt : "Oh, he's got a rainbow flag as well... That makes me dislike him even more!" Gay and bi people... It seems to be your turn next. #homophobia https://t.co/FjvlRJ7E3n" / Twitter
SpeakOutSister on Twitter: "Kellie Jay Keen/ Posie Parker really doesn't like rainbow flags. Here she is for the second time recently demanding one is removed from her rally. The first time was in Melbourne. https://t.co/c5UCsWrpHy" / Twitter
On a clear day on Twitter: "@LGBwiththeT That time she removed one of her lesbian supporter's flag from her Standing for Women rally https://t.co/9zOeFWX6rC" / Twitter
And this isn't about Kellie-Jay (Posie) directly, but, because it came up in the search results and I found it interesting and hope you will, too, here's a thinkpiece written by a former GC lesbian, who, following a few events involving Posie, feels that the TERF movement was no longer a place she felt represented:
Last Pride, a Lesbian Showed Me Gender Critics Were Using Us | by Beau Dyess | Medium
There are other instances, and just googling Posie's name and 'homophobe' brings up a tonne of stuff, but I'm on a train and have to pack up my laptop so sharing these and will check back later.

How to Report a Cartier Fake: A Comprehensive Guide
When investing in luxury items like Cartier watches, ensuring authenticity is crucial. Unfortunately, counterfeit products flood the market, tricking unsuspecting buyers. If you've fallen victim to a fake Cartier watch or suspect someone else has, knowing how to report it is essential. This guide will walk you through the steps of reporting a Cartier fake, while also highlighting the importance of shopping from reputable sources, like Luxe Replica Watche.
Understanding the Problem of Counterfeit Cartier Watches
Counterfeit Cartier watches not only deceive buyers but also damage the brand's reputation and sales. These replicas can be deceptively similar to authentic pieces, making it difficult for consumers to distinguish between the two. By reporting fakes, you help protect the integrity of luxury brands and aid others in avoiding similar pitfalls.
Steps to Identify a Fake Cartier Watch
Before reporting a fake Cartier watch, you should first determine its authenticity. Here are some indicators that can help you identify a counterfeit:
Check the Serial Number: Authentic Cartier watches have unique serial numbers. Verify this number through Cartier’s official website or customer service.
Examine the Craftsmanship: Real Cartier pieces exhibit exceptional craftsmanship. Look for uneven edges, poor engraving, or low-quality materials.
Inspect the Weight: Genuine Cartier watches are often heavier due to high-quality materials. A noticeably light watch may indicate a fake.
Review the Packaging: Authentic Cartier watches come in high-quality packaging with certificates of authenticity. If the packaging looks cheap, it’s likely a counterfeit.
How to Report a Fake Cartier Watch
If you’ve confirmed that you have a counterfeit Cartier watch, follow these steps to report it:
1. Gather Evidence
Collect all pertinent information about the fake watch. This includes:
Photos of the watch
Details about where and when you purchased it
Any communication with the seller
2. Contact Cartier
Reach out to Cartier’s customer service or their official website. Provide them with all the evidence you have collected. They may ask for additional information to assist with their investigation.
3. Report to Consumer Protection Agencies
In many countries, you can report counterfeit products to consumer protection agencies. In the United States, for example, you can contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or your local state attorney general's office. Provide them with all the evidence you've gathered.
4. Use Online Reporting Tools
Websites like the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (IACC) allow you to report counterfeit products online. Fill in the required information, attach your evidence, and submit your report.
5. Notify Online Marketplaces
If you purchased the watch through an online platform (like eBay or Amazon), report the seller. These platforms have policies against counterfeit goods and may take action against the seller.
Educate Others
One of the most effective ways to combat counterfeit products is through education. Share your experience with friends, family, and social media followers. Inform them about the risks of purchasing luxury items from unverified sources.
Shop Wisely: Why Luxe Replica Watche is a Safe Choice
When looking for high-quality replica watches, it's essential to choose a reputable source. Luxe Replica Watche is committed to providing premium replica watches that mimic the style of luxury brands without compromising quality. Our commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction makes us a reliable choice for your shopping needs.
Conclusion
Reporting a counterfeit Cartier watch is not only about protecting yourself but also about safeguarding the integrity of luxury brands. By following the steps outlined in this guide, you can make a difference. Always remember to shop wisely and consider trustworthy retailers like Luxe Replica Watche for replica watches that meet high standards of quality.

Key Safety Standards in Substation Installation and Construction
Introduction
Substation installation and construction are critical processes that require strict adherence to safety standards. Ensuring the safety of personnel, equipment, and the surrounding environment is paramount. In this blog, we’ll discuss the key safety standards that govern substation projects and the best practices for compliance.
1. Understanding Electrical Safety Regulations
Electrical safety regulations are designed to protect workers and the public from electrical hazards. Key standards to be aware of include:
National Electrical Safety Code (NESC): Provides guidelines for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of electric supply and communication lines.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards: Mandates safe work practices and identifies hazards in the workplace, including electrical safety protocols.
2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Personal Protective Equipment is essential for protecting workers during substation installation and construction. Essential PPE includes:
Insulated Gloves: Protect against electrical shock during equipment handling.
Hard Hats: Shield against falling objects and electrical hazards.
Flame-Resistant Clothing: Reduces the risk of burns in the event of an electrical arc.
3. Site Safety Assessment
Before beginning construction, conducting a thorough site safety assessment is crucial. This involves:
Hazard Identification: Recognizing potential risks such as overhead power lines, underground utilities, and environmental hazards.
Access Control: Ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed on-site to prevent accidents and injuries.
4. Safe Equipment Handling and Operation
Proper handling and operation of equipment are vital for ensuring safety during installation. Key practices include:
Training and Certification: All personnel should be trained and certified to operate heavy machinery and electrical equipment.
Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and safe to use.
5. Implementing Lockout/Tagout Procedures
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are essential for ensuring that machinery is properly shut off and not accidentally started during maintenance or installation. This includes:
Locking Out Energy Sources: Physically locking and tagging equipment to prevent accidental activation.
Training Workers: Educating all personnel on LOTO procedures and the importance of compliance.
6. Emergency Preparedness and Response
Having a plan in place for emergencies is crucial for maintaining safety during substation projects. Key components include:
Emergency Action Plans (EAP): Develop and communicate plans for various emergency scenarios, including electrical accidents and fires.
First Aid Training: Ensure that personnel are trained in first aid and CPR to respond to medical emergencies on-site.
7. Regular Safety Audits and Reviews
Continuous monitoring and improvement of safety practices are essential for compliance and risk reduction. Regular safety audits should include:
Safety Inspections: Conduct periodic inspections to identify and rectify potential safety hazards.
Feedback Mechanism: Establish a system for workers to report safety concerns and suggest improvements.
