one thing that I’ve noticed about these two particular characters is that majority of the fandom rather agree that they’re trans masc losers or trans fem losers ,,

I love losers who try to be cool and chill to hide the fact that they’re awkward little shits with no friends ,, who also try to impress a female in the cast who is an obvious lesbian (canon or not). berdly looks so weird i havent drawn him in like a year. i love berdly. berdly and kazuichi would literally be besties .. At one point I heard somebody say they hated a character (it wasn't Kaz, I just drew her instead) because the character (paraphrasing) "kept interrupting the trials with their pointless emotions" and "kept getting in my way when I was trying to solve the murders." I was like "well that's not very nice!" 😂 Definitely not the worst take I've heard on Dangan characters, it didn't make me mad or anything I just found it funny. It's a fair place they were coming from as the gameplay is part of the experience. It made me wonder if people who are... (cough) better at Danganronpa than I am... decide which characters they like or dislike based directly on how much it affects their gameplay. I'd guess some do and some don't, everyone's different. Seeing the same character's face pop up at every interruption/difficult part can get annoying (e.g. I like Teruteru, but "meat on the bone" is going to haunt me forever).

Anyway, when I'm playing I can be just as confused as Kazuichi at whatever was going on, especially some of the trials in DR V3 (though, I figured out the secret of the virtual world map way too soon and I was getting impatient when the characters took forever to get to the same conclusion). I'm actually surprised the op wasn't talking about Kokichi, as he was interrupting AND throwing intentional curveballs at Shuichi. But he's one of those characters that's fun to get pissy about, he's a little shit and he knows it XD

I wasn't sure how to make a response to that person without coming off as rude/judgemental, but it made me want to talk about this subject a little bit, so I'm keeping things vague by leaving out the identity of the character they were talking about. Like I said, it wasn't Kazuichi, I just like drawing her (and she seemed like a similar type of character to the one they were talking about lol).

Kiyotaka Ishimaru - AMAZING CHARACTER, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, LITERALLY KIN HIM SO MUCH, love the VA, hated his death and trial. - 10/10

Mondo Owada - He's also the best, I love his design, his character, his VA, his motive, his trial, his execution was kinda.... BUT I STILL LOVE MONDO - 10/10

Sonia Nevermind - She's so funny and her ftes are great! So good and love her in trials. Great VA, sondam is awesome. - 9/10

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu - Great Ch.Development after chp2 love him so much. - 9/10

Gundham Tanaka - I love him SO MUCH he's amazing and funny and his execution made me cry alot. Sondam for life - 9/10

39. Mukuro Ikusaba - Wish she was in THH longer! OMG FAKE-JUNKO WAS SO COOL! Didn't see enough of her to rate higher. - 5.6/10

40. Izuru Kamakura - Cool concept, overrated tho- 5.5/10

41. Junko Enoshima - Cool ch. shit motive. Killed my faves- 5.3/10

43. Usami/Monomi - Cute mascot but I skipped her ALL of her dialogue because she annoyed TF out of me. - 5.1/10

44. Tsumugi Shirogane - GREAT VA but, I kinda don't know what to think about her. - 5.1/10

45. Yasuhiro Hagakure - A bit of a silly-billy, I dunno how he survived. He's closer to like than dislike tho. 5/10

46. Kirumi Tojo - She has the same VA as Hiyoko. HOW. Anyways, talented VA, cool execution, wish we got to see more of her tho. 5/10

47. Monodam - Apparently not as bad at the other ones? Byakuyas VA- 5/10

48. Angie Yonaga - PRETTY DESIGN, GREAT VA, still not sure about her tho tbh... 4.6/10

49. Mahiru Koizumi - Boring, annoying, complains alot tbh, had great potential which wasn't used well. - 4.4/10

50. Teruteru Hanamura - Kinda... interesting. Surprisingly humane motive. I actually prefer him to Mahiru now... 4.3/10 (changed to 4.5/10)

Dislike:

51. Miu Iruma - There's alot to say about this girl... uh... 4.2/10

52. Hiyoko Saionji - Insufferable. I hate her, WHINY AND ANNOYING, I skipped all her dialogue. 3/10

53. Hifumi Yamada - I hate him, but I put him in this category bc why not. Skipped all of his dialogue, he annoyed me so much. I ignored him. He killed Taka for no reason. 2.5/10 because he was helpful in one trial.

HATE:

All the Monokubs, except I forgot their names. Incest weirdos, no point in the whole thing. 2/10

KAZUICHI IM GRIPPING HIM.

- Kazuichi is gay. Full stop hands down. I’ve seen people make him bi but oh my god he is so closeted and trying so hard to be attracted to women it’s painful to watch! he’s almost afraid of women!! He is a boykisser

- I think postcanon he’s compulsively clean? Like he keeps having flashbacks of being covered in blood and grime and oil as a remnant and he scrubs his skin so hard he rubs it raw sometimes. He’s skittish and gets triggered pretty easily and hides in his clothes a lot . He is struggling.

- on the upside of things, he starts taking care of himself more. His hair is super fluffy and he stops wearing contacts and his skin is clear and everyone’s like “wait souda’s actually. Attractive? Under all that??????” Even his terrible haircut grows out!

- postgame he has a huge paradigm shift and stops being immature and stupid around Sonia and he apologizes profusely for his behavior. She accepts his apology gracefully and he kind of overcompensates a little trying to make up for it but it’s so funny to see Sonia go “I’m a little thirsty” and souda go “IM ON IT” for an entirely different reason. He’s almost Fearful. It’s so sillay

- he has a tiny gender crisis after the sexuality crisis and kind of experiments a little with pronouns and presentation, but he realizes at the end of the day he’s a cis guy who likes to crossdress sometimes and likes presenting fem!! I have some hcs about him girlmoding and going on E for aesthetic reasons too but those tread into nsfw territory and this blog is pg13 so

Like my first thought was that Ryouta saw Kazuichi building a small robot and Ryouta was like "Oh wow is that robot from EVA?" (ps: idk anything about EVA I just thought of it and I know it has robots in it) and then Kazuichi was like "idk what is that" and then Ryouta was shook that he doesn't know that and just. Shows him the anime. Then Kazuichi is like "HOLY SHIT THATS THE ROBOT I SAW LAST WEEK" And after that Ryouta asked what other anime does Kazuichi knows and bish said that he saw 1 episode of Madoka Magica (if you dunno what that is search it up and watch it good) Ryouta was sitting there. And like. "Wanna watch ep 2?" "Yes I kinda like tbh"

After they binge Madoka (which I agree it’s a lit 🔥 show) they somehow wind up watching Free! and Kazuichi can’t help kinning Rin because “HE’S JUST LIKE ME. HE’S INSECURE, HAS TRUST ISSUES, IS AFRAID OF MAKING FRIENDS, CAN’T LET GO OF PAST MISTAKES, AND HE EVEN HAS THE POINTY TEETH AND RED HAIR WHICH IS SORTA PINK SO CLOSE ENOUGH 😭”
