Percy Jackson and The Olympians spoiler for the show/book:
Episode 1:
So I really liked how they began it how the book opened, that was a really nice touch!
I also really liked how we saw Percy growing up and seeing things, focusing in the mechanical rhino was a nice set up for the second book. I also enjoyed how you saw the subtle training, like from Grover with the cards.
Speaking of Grover though, now, I won't focus too heavily on differences from the book and show, as I know there needs to be differences, but a huge part of Grover is his legs/walking difficulties, so Grover walking fine in shorts? I disliked that.
Another thing I disliked was Mrs. Dodds, she didn't take Percy somewhere private, Chiron just gave Percy Riptide, and Percy didn't have this awakening battle with her, it was just played off as an accident.
Two other character changes I disliked were Gabe and Sally. Gabe is no where near as bad, he is kinda timid, Percy isn't shown to be scared of him, he is way too accommodating, and kinda the main point of his character that is crucial to him, his smell, isn't noted at all. Then yes, Sally. She was just off the whole time. She shows herself being vulnerable in front of Percy, something she never does, she stands up to Gabe and back chats him, she gets angry, also she is way too open and transparent when her whole point is trying to keep everything secret to protect Percy, her character was just off.
30 minutes was way too short. They have to cram so much exposition and such into the episode, at one point they explain like 6 things back to back! I thought it coulda been paced out. Which to combine two points, Sally tells Percy everything, which again, she doesn't want to do, but also this means Percy sorta discovers nothing in Camp Half-Blood which ruins why that place was so incredible, I also think it woulda helped the first episode being less expo heavy having Percy discover everything at the camp.
Last thing I wanna say is Sally really wasn't that sad about losing Percy. Like she eventually gets choked up, but in the book, it clearly explains why Sally kept Percy, why she kept everything secret, and why she doesn't want him going to Camp Half-Blood. But until the final moment she shows almost no sadness about losing Percy, and there's just nothing to show her keeping everything a secret or wanting to be selfish in keeping Percy.
Episode 2:
So I really liked the detail of the beaded necklaces! That was a nice touch, the show was full of small details like that, like Luke's scar and such!
Another thing I like is the series includes Clarisse! It is so nice seeing her character unlike in the movie!
I really did not like Luke telling Percy about Thalia/Annabeth. In the book this is a huge thing and a huge mystery, also, nobody wants to talk about it as it hurts too much, but in the show Luke just says it all. I did notice this generally, all these quietly painful moments don't exist, the show just screams everything and takes away all the characters pains.
I love that they included Annabeth's hat! Again, vital thing that is nice to see included this time!
So, eh, I wanna word this carefully. I do not care at all that they changed the characters, as long as they have the personality and the relationship, who cares. However, one thing I found lacking was the lack of the Gods in the kids. In the book, it's sort of a big thing that they all share similar traits, so not only does this help you/Percy identify characters, but it shows who is related and how to separate characters. But in the show, they've just done nothing to the characters, so you have no idea who is who or what God they belong to, I kinda wish Annabeth's eyes were grey, or that Hermes' kids have upturned eye brows, or that Percy's eyes were green. They are meant to have a single same parent, biology dictates genes, I wish there was more shown to connect them to their parents and each other.
I really like the detail of Clarisse's electric spear, and the fact she made the comment about losing dessert privelages!
Another change I disliked is Percy discovering his power. Again, throughout the book there are SSSSOOOO many things hinting towards Poseidon, and one of those things is Percy being drawn to the water, being drawn to his dad. So the fact he has no intention of going near the water, noticing he is stronger in the water, and Annabeth just pushes him in it? Poseidon proudly claims him after he uses the water to show his power! It just was lacking.
Then the final thing I quite disliked, Grover telling Percy about his mum. Again, a huge secret pain is that Percy keeps it hidden the reason he accepts the quest is to save his mum, as he thinks he can get her from the Underworld. So needing to be told he can get her, that she isn't dead, and Grover tells him this? Again, they took a quiet pain and just screamed it.
There were other things like Percy having Riptide, Mr. D sorta solely being played for laughs and not showing his power/danger. Like, there were other changes that bothered me but again, I accept the show can't be entirely faithful, but the ones I mentioned just bothered me a lot more. I think the art style of the credits is super cool, I love the characters are more age appropriate, I know Rick likes this a lot more and is more involved, and there were positives. I just, yeah, wished pacing and dumbing down were different. The minotaur looked cool

Hello!!! *throws these at you*
🕯️ ⇢ on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy editing? why is that?
🎲 ⇢ what stops you from writing more in your free time?
🍬 ⇢ post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character
🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
HELLO SADIE! Ahh, thank you so much for the questions, fella. Sorry for the late reply, it was Eid yesterday so I was so busy <3 (It was so fun!)
🕯️- I would have to say a solid 4. I do not enjoy reading back my work, I always cringe too hard, but the satisfaction of finding a little bit that is awkward and molding it into a better, much more seamless piece really strikes a chord on the satisfaction machine, and it's real nice. The only reason I gave it this low of a rating is really the inability to re-read my stuff. I wish I could do it without wanting to die in a hole, but alas! I cannot lmao.
🎲- Honestly, just lack of confidence and motivation. I always have a lot of ideas I really want to write about, and a lot of plots and directions I want my stories to take, but I don't have a lot of confidence, and then I just don't- write. I should probably gain a little bit more self-confidence with my writing, and then the words will probably flow well! Another reason is the fact that I do really struggle with getting the words down. I have the pictures in my head, but getting words to form those pictures down on paper (or screen) is incredibly difficult to do in a satisfying manner. I suppose I might be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to writing in that I want my work to be perfect, which isn't really possible.
🍬- Oh boy I love these questions haha. Here is one that I think is somewhat controversial. I really appreciate the fact that in the panels of the show, they didn't change his name to The White Wolf. It sorta of, to me, shows that as much as he might not like it, he still was and till now is the Winter Soldier. Some people say that it isn't fair that Sam got his arc as Captain America and Bucky didn't get his transformation into the White Wolf, but I just- I don't know, I like the idea of him reclaiming the title Winter Soldier. He might try to run from it, or to hide his past, but in the end people still recognize him as the Winter Soldier, and people recognize Sam as the new Captain America. The show didn't show any parts of the White Wolf, and still showed how Bucky falls into his fighting stance easily and with grace. It shows the characters using the Winter Soldier title to advance in their mission, and it shows the fact that being the Winter Soldier is still a major playing factor in Bucky's life, whether it's the past coming back to haunt him, or the fact that he is still seen as a criminal (he IS a criminal that boy broke a terrorist out of prison and missed court mandated therapy LMAO). Idk, I just quite like it. I like the idea of Bucky realizing that he cannot escape his past, and that he can, even though he is the "former" Winter Soldier, he can still be good. Sort of like Natasha not giving up the title Black Widow even though she defected from the Red Room. Yeah. And I think that might be quite unpopular to some!
🔪- Oh one of the weirdest things I have had to research is veterinary medication and psychiatric treatments in the 1980s Soviet Union. I am still in the process of researching this for a current fic I am working on, but yeah. It's super absurd to me. It's such an odd topic, and it is incredibly difficult to find English source material, so I keep having to grind through texts with my A2 Russian and Google Translate haha. It's super interesting though, and in the process of this, I have fallen down several rabbit-holes including the common Soviet village house, Caucasian last name meanings and frequencies, and, my favourite, 80s Soviet music!
Thank you bunches for the ask, I had a lovely time thinking up the answers and writing them down!!! I hope you are having a lovely day/night!

Hihi what was Wonderlab about? I see you mentioning it a lot and it's never crossed my path until now. When did it run? Why is it lost media now? If you know
OH BOY HERE WE GO! I'm going to do my best to cover this in a way where even if someone doesn't know jack shit about ProjectMoon they'd at least somewhat understand things about the plot and overall what happens with ProjectMoon as a company because it's sorta wild.
Considering you can't exactly go find this online and read it yourself and I'm not allowed to repost the whole thing (if I even had it on hand which for legal purposes I am not claiming to) so I'm absolutely going to explain the broad strokes of the plot spoilers included. Obviously I'll be showing as little as possible out of respect for the author's request to not republish it. While I'm sad to see it become lost media due to thinking it's actually really good; I also wish to respect those who would stand against my favorite video game company, ProjectMoon.
I understand how insane that sounds but we'll get to that in the whole "hey why is this lost media now?" Bit of this ask; because boy is this a doozy of a post.
The comic takes place in the ProjectMoon Universe, which portrays a future in which humanity is reduced to living in a single city, where corporations have gained a massive amount of power through discovering singularities, essentially what you could equate to some kind of magic. That's a SUPER simplistic way of looking at it but I think it beats going super into detail about singularities and how they work.
The important thing to know is that Lobotomy Corporation has a singularity that allows them to basically create monsters and then harvest energy from interacting with them; which means they're often hiring people to deal with these monsters, each have their own methods of "working" and some of these monsters outright make the most energy when killing people.
So Wonderlab was a web comic that came out a few years ago, it was about a branch of Lobotomy Corporation that was running during the same time as the game Lobotomy Corporation. Though it wasn't the same branch that we see in the game, it followed three main characters;
Rose is the main focus for the first bit of the story, their whole shtick is that they grew up in a wealthy family but they were all too aware of how the poor were treated in the outskirts. They saw people suffering everyday while they got to live a comfy life and they sought out equality, but they understood that you can't bring change without power; I think one of the more defining moments for their character is this panel right here:
It's important to note that in this universe the words they are using have meaning, with Nests being literally the high security places where the wealthy elites get to live, likewise the Wings are sort of the mega-corps who actually run the city. In this scenario they are literally being attacked by an abnormality in such a fashion where they are growing feathered wings against their will; however they are more metaphorically explaining that they are willing to leave the comfy living situation of their life behind if it means breaking free of the Nests and Wings that control everyone and everything. This is a trait we see them growing throughout the entire run of the comic. They're generally selfless and acts in a manner that benefits the whole over the individual, even if that individual is Rose themself.
Throughout the run of the comic we see Rose become closer friends with not only their department mates but specifically with another two of the characters, Taii and Catt; who we'll get to. However, first let me explain Rose's major story arc.
Without getting too into the weeds over minor details, and without basically just posting every panel they're in; I'd summarize Rose by saying they're an overwhelmingly positive force in an otherwise bleak world. They strive to pick everyone up, no matter the individuals social standing. In fact their first real friend, Taii; is a clerk when they first meet and Rose doesn't take this into consideration at all. While others may question why they'd even talk to or be kind to a Clerk, Rose sees Taii as just another person.
In fact, what Rose knows of the world around them is exactly what leads them to their own self hatred;
They understand that they're able to help others with the money they have, and their position gives them power necessary to bring change. But they resent it all the same, as they felt responsible for the way the world works; they felt like part of the problem,
and we're gonna do a little bit of a double whammy here because in telling Taii about their life story, we also get to see Taii's reaction as a very big part of their own character and their character growth:
But we'll get to that in a bit. The important take away here is that Rose is a sort of infectious positivity on those around them. They seek to "embrace all" and build others up no matter the sacrifice; as they see themself as a part of the problem as well as the potential solution.
Rose's story is a tragic one, inevitably ending in self sacrifice; as they are told of an Abnormality (basically a monster) within the facility that will absolutely kill that who it works with it, but will be able to spare everyone else in the process. Someone HAS to work with it, there is no choice about it; the only decision the department can make is WHO has to work with it. I love the interaction they have with the head of their department regarding the work; I feel like this above all else mirrors the first panel I showed of them. This is a great depiction of Rose at their core, both in the sense of who they are and also in the sense of what they wish to achieve.
Rose's entire story is about how they desperately want to bring change, but understand far too well that they alone cannot. They do their best to change what they can; to help who they can. However they know in their heart they will always fail to change the system, that's just not how reality works at the end of the day.
Their final few panels are genuinely such a great end for them, absolutely beautiful illustration and gut wrenching dialogue for anyone who has been reading the comic up to this point;
I appreciate that we get to see Rose actually scared here at the end of it all. As someone who we've seen stand up bravely to monsters time and time again; it's this final act that scares them. So much of their life left unfulfilled but they know they're the only one who can do this; and that final panel revealing the "demon" that is Catt showing genuine sadness says everything we need to know about their character in this moment.
Throughout the comic we see these characters discuss death, what it means to die; and how it feels to be without someone. However this is really the first time we get to see the confirmed death of a main character, and we get to see how they all react to it.
Oh and I will be using they/them pronouns for the main cast as they never have a confirmed gender, and the they/them pronouns is how the translation mentions them.
Our second main character Catt even has a moment where they mention they don't use honorifics one way or another. Catt as a character seems cold and emotionless for most of the comic; this is because they are. They feel a need to be after they came to a place like Lob Corp and learned the horrors of what go on within it's walls. They made a friend, and they saw that friend as strong; they wanted so badly to have a strong heart and the willpower to continue smiling; only to see their very friend go mad and kill their co-workers before being put down themself. This prompts the catalyst for Catt as a character:
When we're introduced to them, they're the Captain of the branch Rose and our other main character Taii are in. They come across as this very capable, but cold and calculated individual. Though we find that this is all a mask they use to not get close to those who might leave them. They can save themself, but they can't save others; no matter how skilled they might be. They have been shown to even put themselves in harms way to protect those they care about, likely because they feel as though they can handle themselves better than others could.
Oh, and they always talk in third person. As you can imagine, Rose caring way too much about their friends; and Catt caring in much the same way causes them to be at odds quite often. Catt will even go so far as to tell Rose and Taii not to act in situations where they feel strongly someone else can handle the problem and not risk their friend's lives in the process.
Mind you there is an abnormality they work with at one point which focused heavily on the idea of loving others; and being loved. Catt is forced to realize their very gay thoughts and ultimately doesn't handle it well:
Unfortunately this causes the abnormality to breach, and Catt takes matters into their own hands to deal with it:
But before we get to Catt's conclusion, we need to talk about Taii; the one we've yet to discuss, and realistically the MAIN main character of Wonderlab. I say this because they are the one we see grow and change the most, with their actions being those which are focused on in the end.
When we first see Taii they're this sort of clumsy, scared, and overall dare I say "incompetent" clerk who is basically just trying to do their job as best they can.
The thing about Taii is that, as we learned previously; they're basically going through their day to day life just surviving. Letting each day come and go without much agency one way or another. Taii doesn't have any grand ambitions, they don't strive for lofty goals; nor do they necessarily hold out hope for a better future. They simply exist and do their best to survive in this crazy fucked up world.
They are promoted when they use their company issued handgun to help Catt fight off an Abnormality. Important note from the Lob Corp Manual; the handgun given to Clerks is a mercy, far too weak to really deal damage to Abnormalities, but more than enough to let them take their own life without the pain of whatever the Abnormality would have done to them.
Taii doesn't act out of bravery, but rather desperation; and it shows. They aren't a very brave individual and most of their actions are taken out of pure necessity for survival. However as they interact more with Rose and Catt they find a need to be better within themself. They begin to look up to the two and find comfort in the idea of becoming like them.
This is one of the first times (if I recall correctly) where we can see them actually saying they want to do something for the good of everyone. It's not that they're selfish about their ambitions, it's that they don't see themself as someone strong enough to help others. They see Rose and Catt as those kind of people, but Taii just isn't that brave, nor capable; at least not in their own eyes.
The following scene actually shows Catt working with the abnormality for Taii; giving them the information on it after the fact and basically saying "you couldn't handle it, so I did it for you; but I won't say anything, if I snitched your paycheck would suffer." But obviously doesn't admit to doing it out of the goodness of their heart. Rather just telling Taii to forget it. This is when it starts to become pretty clear that Catt and Rose are both putting up an act respectively.
One of the first big moments we see Taii act bravely is when they finally actually have to fight something; again we can note the words "I'll be left with no choice" Taii doesn't actively want to fight here, rather they believe it's the only option they actually have.
At this point it's still unclear if this is because they don't want to hurt the abnormality, or because they're scared to fight. However this scene does show us that they're a lot more competent than they'll admit to themself.
At this point we have an understanding of these characters and we know of Rose's death; so now we can get into the finale; essentially there's a few more chapters between the death of Rose and the actual last chapter. In this time we see our two remaining main characters react in polar opposite ways.
Taii begins to actually try to work hard, not just for their own sake but for those around them; they carry on Rose's dream of a better future as it gives them a life purpose they didn't have before.
Meanwhile Catt hasn't shown up for work, everything they thought they had in life was taken from them; and they can no longer handle it. They felt they were stronger to cast their heart away and simply feel nothing; and their complex emotions cause them to distort.
Distortion is hard to explain but it's essentially a person becoming a monster through a powerful enough emotion for lack of better explanation.
Catt now distorted, begins to cause quite a bit of damage back at the facility; unleashing basically every Abnormality we've seen thus far; and Taii is very aware that this is in fact Catt's doing, which results in some absolutely raw growth on Taii's part as we see them finally take action and become the person they have wanted to this entire time.
An important note for those who don't know, when working with an Abnormality; it's possible to create gear called E.G.O from them; so here we see Taii literally wearing the E.G.O of "Staining Rose" the very abnormality that killed Rose.
The two have a bit of a heart to heart, with Taii admitting that Catt was correct; that it's not wrong to indulge in the better parts of life and leave the complex emotions of the heart behind. That is what it takes to survive, something Taii understands far too well as someone who spent so long just trying to survive.
The following panels show that while they might be gone, Rose never truly left Taii; and that their ambition lives on within Taii now.
Literally declaring "we will save you" with the depiction of the fight ending with Taii and Rose pulling Catt from their distortion; something that doesn't ACTUALLY happen; but is how Taii perceives the event.
The reality is that Catt very much remains distorted, and escapes somewhere into the ruins of the facility where Taii cannot follow.
The comic concludes with most of the cast now living out their lives outside of the facility, working odd jobs or opening their own fixer offices. As for Taii, they have a life purpose; in that they refuse to stop looking for Catt,
There's a TON that I couldn't cover here, plenty that goes into these characters and fleshes them out really well. The writing is unironically really good, even though I'm highly bias as I have a deep love for the source material they're working with.
There's a lot of conversation around ProjectMoon characters, plenty of disagreement over things like gender, sexuality, and even mental illness. Normally I'd argue "most of it is just headcanons or something" but ProjectMoon has gone to lengths to actually include not only LGBT rep in both gay characters and non-binary characters; but furthermore has given their characters everything from ADHD to Depression in depictions that never outright say "this is Netzach he's depressed" but rather show you Netzach's depression first hand, right down to Netzach having one of the best lines about suicide; literally saying "you have to worry about the quiet ones, the loud ones want to live more than anyone; that's why they're crying for help." I'm paraphrasing but like, ProjectMoon GETS IT. Malkuth is a character who I will not accept people saying doesn't have ADHD, not only does she have literally every symptom in the book, but one of the core aspects of her character is needing to keep a visible notepad on her at all times to write down essentially a detailed plan or else she won't be able to keep track of what needs to be done.
So you can probably see why I enjoy ProjectMoon as a fan of horror media and generally as someone who enjoys well written characters; I've not gone into detail about Lobotomy Corporation, nor Library of Ruina; but both have a ton of references to everything from Religion to classic literature. They touch on topics like modern capitalism and mental illness; what it means to be human, and ultimately what it means to have an identity of your own.
This is a company who's aesthetics, writing, and even gameplay interest me greatly so you might be wondering why this is somehow lost media, and why even I stand in opposition to this company currently.
And for that, we need to look at Limbus Company; the worst thing to ever happen to ProjMoon in my opinion.
So let's quickly look into ProjectMoon, they're this little indie company who no one has heard of; they make Lobotomy Company and it's a cult classic of sorts. A very small but dedicated group of people absolutely love this game, they mod the hell out of it just to keep the content alive; and then finally ProjectMoon announces their second game; Library of Ruina. Now we're all hype as hell, with music being done by Mili this is sounding like it's going to be amazing for fans of the IP; and it was!
Library of Ruina has a story that stands among even my favorite like JRPGs it's a great game with a perfect conclusion for the characters we got to know in Lob Corp (in my opinion at least it's a great place to leave them and go off to focus on the Sinners and their stories)
and now the games are getting popular, the company actually opens a few cafes; and they need funding for more stuff to come. Well how do you get that funding? They believe a Gacha game will be a good way to secure funds and also deliver constant updates about the world and characters their audience has come to love.
This isn't inherently a bad thing, rather the problem comes when a few of the character designs set off a group of men in Korea. A rather large, loud; group of men; who are displeased by how these characters were depicted. From what I understand the claims were that the way they drew a specific man was too feminine and the way they drew a woman, fully covered; wasn't sexualized enough for their liking. This sounds pretty insane, and honestly; it is.
However it's not as insane as the CEO deciding to fire a woman, one of their artists; despite the art design/concepts coming from a man on the team (from what I've been told). This all in an attempt to appease the mass of incels who aren't even really fans of ProjectMoon but are threatening the company with bad reviews and harassment.
This is when it comes to light that ProjectMoon has been having shady business practice for a while now, continuing to underpay those they work with on the grounds that they're "just a small indie company uwu" even though they are now raking in the big bucks and honestly, have been financially stable for a good while after the launch of Ruina.
As people heard the news, and boycotts began to happen; the CEO began to also throw around the idea of taking legal action for slander against those who spoke out against the company claiming the accusations lacked evidence and the like.
Eventually the news hits the author of Wonderlab, and they request to have Wonderlab removed from the internet. Whether this was to remove any ties to the company; or to do their part to rebel against the mistreatment of women on the companies part; I'm unsure. Either way they've asked those who may or may not have a copy of the web comic to not go reuploading it.
I may not have all the facts on this one, so anyone who may know better than me on this is more than welcome to add their two cents; but that's sort of where we stand now, there's an active boycott on Limbus Company that, unfortunately it doesn't seem like many are actively participating in though I won't be getting into all that.
I am sad to see the comic become lost media though, it had a lot going for it; there are some genuinely just beautiful panels, plenty of LGBT and NB rep throughout; and generally just a solid story that has a lot to say about life, morality, and the effect one person can have on the world around them.
Something I will always find funny is that looking at Lobotomy Corporation, Wonderlab, and even Library of Ruina; the characters that ProjectMoon writes into their stories and games, are absolutely the sort of people who would stand against the company itself and it's behavior and treatment of not just it's employees but it's fans who refuse to support it further given it's crimes.
ProjectMoon really has become the very thing it writes about being bad. Which is a shame, because it has so much going for it; and no matter how shitty the CEO is; I can't blame the company as a whole; doesn't mean I'm going to go giving them my money or anything, but I will always stand in opposition to them while remaining to call myself ProjectMoon's #1 fan. I think if you're going to call yourself a fan of ProjectMoon you have to at least be disapproving of their actions, otherwise I fear you've entirely missed the point of the games and web comics.
Anyways I started writing this all at like, 4 and it's about 6 AM now so I'm just going to call it here and hope this answers your question lol.

Fresh trimmings
Alienator, World of Hate 7" (Convulse)
New recording from Portland, OR's Alienator following a 2021 demo. The band plays a sort of mid-tempo hardcore, burly almost-metal riffs and gruff vocals filling out the space afforded by the lower speeds. Passes surface level inspection, especially "I'm Nothing" or the stomping outro of "Social Disease," but all of the parts here don't really coalesce into the total package as advertised. Lyrics are clunky and hackneyed, even by hardcore's low standards, and I'm annoyed on each subsequent listen at how chugging death metal riffs are teased at the beginning of "Senseless Violence" and the title track but not fleshed out. It's all competent and fashionable, from the artwork to the execution, but doesn't really distinguish itself and, at worst, inflicts some secondhand embarrassment.
Delco MF's, March of the M.F.'s 7" EP (MF Records)
Seems recently any hardcore that catches my ear has to be verging on grindcore tempos, and Delco MF's do it better than most. The first 7" was great, and March of the M.F.'s continues the winning streak. There are some strong riffs on here, most potent on the title track, but this is a band primarily carried by the vocals and the drumming. "Future World" is a prime example, the vocals and violent tom fills racing and tripping over each other, until "Death of Me" pleases the crowd waiting to mosh. Six songs in six minutes, no room for filler (or, perhaps thankfully, a lyric sheet) - almost makes me agree with the "Hardcore Rules / Fuck Off" banner pictured on the back of the sleeve.
Mark Van Fleet, Vordenal CS (Refulgent Sepulchre)
I saw Mark perform as Face Place a few years ago, and it was cool, but felt very restrained and almost academic in its approach to noise. I was hoping for something a little closer to the heaving noisescapes he created as 1/2 of Sword Heaven, and now Vordenal comes close to fulfilling that wish: syrupy thick loops are urged to disintegrate, harsh sounds reflect off thin metal walls and a general unease presides. There are tracks, but this works as two side-long pieces. Side A's a little roomier, sounding like a high rise construction site on a windy day, creaking metal-on-metal and eerie whistling, until bolts shear and welds fracture during the swirling fever pitch of "Vordenal Slurp." Side B is just two tracks, and here's where the anxiety begins to burrow under your skin. The chomping and pounding of "Volume Fog" is particularly effective, and its guts are poured into the atonal drone of "Dungeon Summer," a drone that begins to pile on itself and buckle. When I listened to Vordenal on an airplane recently, it felt as if the plane were being ripped apart until the abrupt end of "Dungeon Summer" allowed the oppressive hum of steady cruising back in. What Mark's doing is in the league of Tom Darksmith and Aaron Dilloway, albeit a bit less polished than their recent works, but the stitches showing works in Vordenal's favor.
Life Expectancy, Decline CS (Iron Lung)
One of maybe three hardcore releases to leave a mark this year, Life Expectancy's Decline is a cavernous, feedback-ridden bullet train ride, except you're strapped on the outside like Mad Max in Fury Road. Plenty of noise here, including intro/outro on/off ramps, but the middle section is a pretty potent slurry of metal and punk, a combo that just doesn't add up for most bands. Vocals are a vicious black metal caterwaul, becoming more and more prominent as the tape plays, fully emerging on "Liquidated Flesh" and "S.M.R.A." where the tempo slows just enough for things to get really grimy. Blinding, blown-out, bleak: all applicable here, even if they curiously titled a track "Eggz." Completely unassuming packaging and quietly released, Decline sets a new bar for the skulls-and-chains crowd to gawk at.
Romance, Seven Inches of... 7" EP (self-released)
Hastily assembled sorta-supergroup from Sydney mows down the corny "murder punk" genre tag and reclaims the violent moniker for themselves. The band plays well - bass and drums thump and wallop, guitar slashes with abandon - but the draw here is the feral vocals of Jane, who must've had blisters on her vocal cords after the performance here. "Romance," "Fast Car" and "Surprise" are almost uncomfortable, blurring the line between performance and actual malice, and it's chilling in the best way. Nothing polished here, and all the better for it; you can definitely see why the band chose to self-release these tracks even after a couple of years. There is a palpable ferocity and recklessness across Seven Inches of..., and whoever says "fuckin' nailed it" at the end of "Sex Pact" ain't wrong.
Tàrrega 91', Fill de la Merda 7" EP (La Vida Es Un Mus)
The punk LVEUM mines from Spain almost always hits home with me, and Tàrrega 91' aren't about to break that streak. Fill de la Merda sports a bass-heavy recording, Discharge-style ripping guitars, but makes plenty of room for a prominent Rudimentary Peni influence to show its head, too. Not sure that there's anything groundbreaking to be heard across Fill de la Merda, but it's all performed as if they were the first band to stumble onto this confluence of sounds; that genuine excitement pushes a track like "Autoproclama De L'esclavitut Total" into a burner. Nice quick-hit 7" that checks a lot of boxes for me, especially that little guitar solo on the title track. Yeah, it's comfort food in a sense, but who better to serve it than one of the preeminent labels in punk and hardcore worldwide?

15, 34, 38, 41, 45 aaand 49?
hi qiiu ty for the ask :DDD
15 Top 3 side characters?
santana, trish una, diego brando (are the last 2 side characters idk)
34 A character you wish you got to see more of?
under the cut bcz it's rlly long and kind of unclear and stream of conciousness
oh omg theres a lot, i've been thinking abt part 5 recently tho so trish una. idk she just had a really important role in the plot and it was weird that she only got one scene where she was the main focus
(also the story from her pov must be insane bcz on top of the recent death of her only immediate family and the assassins dropping in left and right, bruno's team literally just dont tell her anything until several days in she learns that her long-lost father is the mafia time wizard).
anyways like, everyone in the main team gets a little flashback sequence Except for trish which annoys me sm bcz another VA character that i wish they included more was donatella una. like i said, trish's only family dies and they kinda gloss over the whole grieving thing. in the anime they show donatella's influenced some of trish's personality and she was a loving parent. but presumably, solido naso was still important to her, and would she ever reveal any of this to her daughter? i don't think trish has no preconceptions on who her father is and also there's likely a big difference between solido naso and diavolo in 2001.
bcz complaining aside i think an interesting scene is how in the elevator, trish worries about what her father is like and bruno tells her that everything is gonna be ok, knowing full well he's gearing up to kill his ass. one of the things that messes me up is that even though the main squad has good intentions or whatever - putting yourself in her shoes, could trish really trust them or are they just the lesser of 2 evils?
for the first half of the story, trish is in an incredibly confusing situation where people around her are violently murdering each other but she's important enough to be basically 'untouchable' (tangent- they do sort of treat trish as an 'innocent' the entire time, even after the big final fight giorno hides info from her and mista).
between those loyal to passione and la squadra, it was a 'race' to get to trish first (certainly not something she had a say in). the audience knows that while mafiosi are mafiosi, la squadra is definitely worse - but to an outsider it's one group of strange men or the other. you're saddled with one and you don't know what the other is like, they could be the 'good guys' or the 'bad guys', but chances are they're both pretty fucked up (we've seen bruno's team win every time but this also means that they brutally murder the opposition each time. trish doesn't know these people, or what warrants the ruthless protection). you can see her kinda voice her this uncertainty after bruno kills pesci, but it's just something i wish they touched upon more.
bcz it puts trish in a position where she's deeply alone - her mom is dead, she knows she's going to see a father she's never met, she's moved from place to place with little to no explanation by strangers locked in a bizarre war (bcz isn't it weird? "i dont know you but i'll kill and die for you"). and it's neat to think about how spice girl is one of the few stands that is sentient and can operate with a separate will, bcz yeah, there wasn't anyone else but herself.
i have a lot more thoughts on this but they aren't that clear bcz imo there also isn't that much detail on trish's shift into a more active role into the story, they sorta just decide "everybody friends now :)" without considering that trish's position is insane. but some idea's that've been rattling around is when trish is fully ready to kill diavolo (bcz. donatella knows solido naso, and donatella tells her daughter about the love of her life, and trish can wonder all this time, so out of all the strangers here, her father is a stranger she knows.)
ok thats enough, i'm super chill and normal abt all this 👍👍
38 Characters you wish could have interacted with each other?
while i don't think it fits in the actual story, i think it's an underrated idea in fan content, and i think abt pucci and diavolo interacting a lot, bcz at first it's like "religious guy and devil guy haha" but there's layers to this okay, like. the next thing is how pucci is a priest and diavolo was raised by a priest who he Does not like lol. but also also, in Over Heaven dio's like "idk who this diavolo kid is but we probably have gravity lol" meanwhile pucci also has a ton of gravity (whatever dio means by this shit idk) super important for the heaven plot, and also how pucci's whole thing is how fate is controlling everyone while diavolos whole thing is how fate is his bitch. and yeah they'd hate each other but idc if they'd hate each other i wanna see some blood. Kill!!
41 A relationship between two characters that you really like?
i liked a lot of the jojo&jobro dynamics in the later parts like josuke & okuyasu, hermes & jolyne, and gyro & johnny. also not to bring up trish again but trish and narancia.
45 Scariest/creepiest Jojo moment?
i wanna say nothing scared me thaaat much but i have an irrational fear of zombie type things, so limp bizkit kinda freaked me out with the way they showed sports max like, fully conscious as he became less and less 'human'.
49 If Jojo had a genre swap, what genre would you want it to be?
idk what exact genre this is but i liked the freaky goopy fleshy horror they had going on with the pillar men's biology (the only enjoyable thing abt battle tendency for me :/)
#momentarily overtaken by the demons halfway thru#i sware i do not make up that much shit abt trish *pushes isaac and abraham parallel under the table*#ask#macabre changeling#misc and non art tag#also i might like santana just bcz i like goop and killing. whatever. beat me take my blood etc

SANDY LIANG SS25 by RACHEL BATASHVILI
view collection here.
collection description: n/a
my overall rating: 6/10
this collection has a sort of early 2000s, lates 90s charm to it. some pieces are kinda ugly but in a cute way? or rather a nostalgic way. some of the collection gives off corporate barbie vibes and i’m living for it! for my first introduction to the brand, i think it’s fairly nice. there was nothing absolutely revolting, and while it didn’t revolutionize anything, i love the blast to the past vibes it brings.
(click keep reading for all images i included!)
♱ ───────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───────────── ♱
super 90s corporate girly
this section will almost exclusively include looks that i thought were styled down.
1) there's just something about this coat paired with tiny green shorts that really eats at my hear. even the shape of the jacket, it sorta puffs out in the front. i love that. 2) this green set!! i want i want i need! i know i doesn't do anything special but omg does it look good. and i think it fits the collection. would love to see the top cropped. 3) [this is look 20] i am a big fan of big top little bottom and this is perfection!!! it's so sleek, so minimal. idk i love.
1) barbie!! i love the length of this dress, the pattern/texture, i even love the boxy silhouette. it's so so pretty ( i am not living for the necklace but oh whale). 2) this is such a casual outfit. i'd buy both of these pieces (the jeans more than the shirt) but style them differently. 3) there were different versions of this but i honestly like this one. i love a simple black look, plus it fits really well. and the concept is executed sooo nicely.
♱ ───────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───────────── ♱
ugly nostalgia
this section will almost exclusively feature looks that i only enjoyed elements of.
these are giving disney channel prom. these are dresses i'd see in really old movies, and i love love love that the designer was able to capture the essence of a time period here. would i ever wear these? probably not. but i would love to see these in a tv show wardrobe
1) it's just wrinkled!! i love the color combo though! 2) the tailoring is not tailoring. this is look 19 for comparison.
♱ ───────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───────────── ♱
there was nothing ugly honestly!! so yay!
♱ ───────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───────────── ♱
viewing thoughts:
i am a minute and a half in, some of these pieces are very wrinkled and stiff, not sure if that is intentional but it does look a bit off. also the fitting, i’m not loving, but it’s not the worst thing i’ve seen. i saw a comment on youtube that said “NYC 90s corporate girly” and i agree. i lowkey love the styling of these pieces, but i’m not a fan of the shapes. very boxy, very straight, at least the bottoms are. and that isn’t what i prefer personally, but still cute. i honestly think this collection is really nice, it’s very girly, very chic, i think the tailoring is what’s holding it back the most. you can see what i’m talking about with looks 19 and 20. same look but the fits are very different. so i’d say, at least for the runway, there needs to be more fittings and whatnot. can't say i hate anything.
i kinda love hair and makeup, the accessories, it’s all very cute. the shoes could be different. but i digress.
venue: 3/5 i love the nostalgia. usually such a basic venue wouldn’t get this high of a rating but! i think it adds to the overall theme.
casting: 6/10 i wish there was more diversity in the way the models looked.
♱ ───────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───────────── ♱
sustainability: 0/5
my sustainability rating is currently based on transparency and accessibility of currently available information
much like other brands i’ve recently review, there is no information in the brands website about sustainability, and they have a poor rating on good for you. here is a report by sustainability directory which gives them a score of 2 as of 13/07/24 (it’s deffo july!).

HERE is the ask game! and HERE is part 1.
How do they respond when someone doesn’t believe them?
Bite gets real pissed off. WILL argue for at least five minutes before realizing this shit sucks i don't have to be here! and then fucks off and never speaks to them again really Bark can find it frustrating but he knows he's right so it doesn't really matter if others don't believe him. Would rather just go with what others think than make a scene out of it
What’s a secret they haven’t told serious romantic partners and don’t plan to tell?
Bark: the kinds of things he enjoys doing as a wolf. Sorta goes along with whatever his pack (family) does & never really spent time with someone special during a shift. hasnt dated in a while and doesn't plan to open up about wolf stuff to (or even get) a partner because somethings going pretty wrong with it. unfortunately for him Bite finds out and decides to entertain wolf-him during full moons, if only because he knows human-Bark will be devastated by the thought that they had genuine fun together the next day Bite: to be real he's not big on talking about himself in general. not necessarily because he wants to Keep Secrets he just doesn't think being understood is worth his time
Would they rather be invited to an event to feel included or be excluded from an event if they were not genuinely wanted there?
Bite would rather be excluded if nobody really wants him there. Can and will start arguments over that sort of thing. Bark would rather be invited as an empty gesture & would turn them down bc he knows it's hollow but appreciates the thought nevertheless
What phrases, pronunciations, or mannerisms did they pick up from someone / somewhere else?
Bite has some random turns of phrases he picked up from his dad. He tries hard to make that the only thing he carries on from him. Bark has a specific "getting down to business" way of sitting down / sitting forward he got from his mother. When he was little his dad taught him a trick for swallowing medication without water ("twist your wrist a little like you're flushing something with a faucet, that's it") and he still does that sometimes.
What do they commonly misinterpret because of their own upbringing / environment / biases? How do they respond when realizing the misunderstanding?
Bite has problems with people being nice to him & believing sincerity. Even if he rejected kindness that was actually sincere he'd still rather people not be Nice to him it's Weird. Ew Bark had a tendency to over-read situations but now wants to believe everyone involved will be Chill so nothing gets out of hand. wishful thinking. Every day he becomes more of a "damn that sucks" guy
What’s something unimportant / frivolous that they hate passionately?
Bite: ok like . anything someone hates passionately actually shows you it's Not unimportant to them but ok i get it. where to fucking START. The kind of manicure that involves gluing a bunch of decorations to your nails pisses him off. Nails are for Practical Use, thanks. less than useless ass decorative stuff cant even do shit with them so stupi (and so forth.) Bark: Ball sports. He thinks he's "fine" enough about them but 3 minutes of playing baseball and he wants to die bad
Are they a listener or a talker? If they’re a listener, what makes them talk? If they’re a talker, what makes them listen?
Bark is a listener & Bite doesn't want to listen or talk, unless he's arguing with someone. Bite gets Bark to talk more because he goads him into being a hater & Bark finds not repressing it incredibly therapeutic. Every time they're having a genuinely engaged discussion it's super negative and people think they're arguing (they are) but Bite thinks that's fun & Bark needs to let off steam
Who have they forgotten about that remembers them very well?
Bark develops memory loss ❤ anyone he encounters when he loses control in wolf state, really Bite: actually. similarly enough he's been rude to and hurt a lot of people and just moved on with his life fuck them idc
Who would they say ‘yes’ to if invited to do something they abhorred / strongly didn’t want to do?
Bite: nobody. Bark might be able to bargain him into doing it tho Bark: if he felt needed enough, pretty much anyone.
Would they eat something they find gross to be polite?
Bark would. Might laugh and say "not my thing" Bite would not.
What’s a phrase they say a lot?
Bite puts swears in common turns of phrase. Type of guy to say "we got sodomized out there" Bark is like. "it is what it is"
Who would / do they believe without question?
Bark is more of a "....sure." guy all around. He has reasonable doubts about most things but just goes along with it whatever Bite uhh. isn't a fan of thinking twice in general. doesn't care about what most people say or think
What’s something they’re expected to enjoy based on their hobbies / profession that they actually dislike / hate?
Bark doesn't really have a hobby. He plays valorant if his friends are on but also has a really awful relationship with it because he doesn't like it. Bite is no good with gore. Blood is fine and fantastic but gore WILL make him nauseated. throws up sometimes because of it
If they’re scared, who do they want comfort from? Does this answer change depending on the type of fear?
Bite: Nobody. A blunt "you'll be okay" is the most he wants out of anyone. Bark: Pretty much anybody will do, but he doesn't really believe their reassurance because he tries to bottle his fear up. He does secretly miss his dad but hasn't realized this himself. When he's freaked out about The Issue he prefers strangers or nurses over anyone he knows because he does Not want them knowing what's wrong
What’s a simple daily activity / motion that they mess up often?
Bite is careful with himself he doesn't do this. Whenever Bark's mental state is bad he showers more often and simultaneously forgets to wash his hair. if he's not whiteboy in peril mode its ok tho

2k7 Mikey Ariel - #
| send me “#” for cell phone headcanons about our muses including
"I don't like you snooping through my phone, but I guess I don't mind talking about one of my nieces either? Nah it's chill go ahead!"
- what your muse’s name is in mine’s phone
'Squirt'
"I guess that losses it's meaning seeing how big she got! I mean have you see her dude! She's is damn tall! Comes in handy though, if I need a hand grabbing something she doesn't mind helping out. Very much like her dad that way. But nah it was never about her height in the first place. Maybe cause I was one of full 'adults' around that just played with the girls when they grew up. And one more often around with not much to do. I got to spend a good deal time around Ari. Since Sums would go to school here and there. Ari was like my little sidekick ya see? And what I?" he waits for any chance to figure it out "I'm a big turtle, and back then she was a little turtle. Well sorta turtle. Anyway! were like Crush and Squirt! that's why shes still Squirt in my phone. I still call her that but I don't think she knows I don't mean it in terms of her height."
- what your muse’s picture is in mine’s phone
[image description] A clearly obvious kid's drawing it may be hard to make out to others but it's clearly Mikey as the Turtle Titan his framed super hero persona. with another standing beside him smaller in size but also dressed up like a hero. Clearly meant to be Ariel's hero character.
"Course, I remember Ari's drawing. It's been on my phone since well forever. Once Don made her own t-phone? I new exactly what I was going put for her photo. It's sorta embarrassing but having someone look up to you? when you feel like the family screw up? it's well nice. I guess that's why it hurt so much when she got mad at me for a time. Ari always made me feel like I was no different from my brothers. And seeing how I always sort was down on myself and compared to them too much? Yeah. Having Ari always excited to tell me about her swims show me things she found. Want to see what comics I had or ask about stores about the turtle titan? I dunno maybe I just ate up the attention. Might not be that deep heh."
- what your muse’s ringtone is in mine’s phone
Firework by Katy Perry
'Cause baby, you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go, "Oh, oh, oh"
As you shoot across the sky
"I love Katy Perry, but this song always makes me think of Ari, shes very him timid and quite reserved even would be a good way to put it I guess. Sure sure we're mutants and such but Ari's always been even more like that even around her family and such. I don't know I feel like she lacks confidence why Sums is a good match to her cause shes more daring. Helps her sister to move and such. But I feel if Ari really just found it in herself to drop what holds her back? I think she find shes just as bright. I just find this song very fitting for her and wish she find it in herself to not hold her self back too much."
- my muse’s last text to your muse

This one’s rather random, especially since there’s a lot of others than I could do. I’m sort of in a frantic state with the realization that I have a lot of design sheets I’d have to do if I wanted to do Division in April. I mean, it is still up in the air - the nice thing is that, if my muse shifts back to WfS, I pretty much have everything I need for that (and it still might!). This, however....eh....
In any case, I wanted to redo the designs of Gabe’s family after doing redoing Captain Steel - I wanted his wife to match him a bit better, then figured, hell, might as well do their children as well. And then, hell, let’s add Eagle Eye as well, since it’s predominate. And then this morning, decided to do a sheet of the Blackburnes since, obviously, Nova interacts with them a lot.
The first in the Wolfhart designs is a new one, that one being of Adam’s little brother, Trevor aka Shadow Wolf. Trevor is sort of based on my husband’s super hero who shares the same name. I’m not quite sure what his powers are - something about time, I believe - but I based his costume off something my husband might wear, since he has a thing for the ‘detective’ look, but then I also gave him the half cape his brother sports. Over all, I rather like how he looks, although not sure if I’ll remember to include him, lol.
Pegaus’ outfit was originally a bodysuit like it used to be, but...I didn’t really care for the look and experimented with giving her pants and...wow. I really like the matronly look she has going on! Maybe its the colors, but she looks approachable and like she’d adopt you the moment you suggested you needed a hug. Olivia has always been gorgeous, but I really like how this came together.
I imagine that she had a bodysuit once upon a time - I’m pretty sure Cosmic Star chose that look as a homage to Pegasus - but then she just shifted to something more comfortable as she got older. The woman is in her fifties, after all.
I always have trouble with Angelico costume. Coming up with male costume ideas is hard (not like females are easier), and him especially. I had this random idea that he wears his black leather jacket even in his superhero state, because he thinks it makes him look more badass, and I found it hilarious enough to use. Then I ended up giving him simple stripes for the hell of it, and with the black boots, well, I actually really like this one! Simple, but effective.
I didn’t change a damn thing about Invidia other than her hair, because I didn’t think she’d actually have bangs. ^^; Still one of my favorite costumes, even if the person wearing it is trash (sorta wish I used this design for Cosmic Star, oh well). She’s pretty.
I removed the masks from Angelico and Invidia because I got to thinking and, and in this world, unless the person chooses to remain anonymous, their identity is just out there and there’s no point in masks. The newer recruits wear masks because most of them aren’t ready for people to recognize them outside of work. Like, sure, people might know their name, but they wouldn’t recognize them right away. The exception, of course, is heroes who wear glasses, who wear masks just to protect their eyes (so they’re not fighting with glasses on). Being the elder children of Captain Steel, though, makes them instantly recognizable with or without a mask, so there’s no point in wearing one.
(Gabe wears a mask as a form of solidarity towards Connor, whose one of those heroes who has to wear a mask).
Eagle Eye’s role is mostly that of Astrid’s father, but he shows up enough because he’s also a predominate hero. He wasn’t a part of the original group who started the Guild, but he was fighting around the same time, despite being, like, a teenager when the Guild was formed. He was one of the first people scouted the join, though. I realized, when working on his design, that I ‘see’ him wearing a sort of colonial looking outfit for some god forsaken reason, so...here we are. I like it, cuz it’s different.
The next set is simple, being Nova and Luna’s family. Their mother is a teacher, so I tried to give her something similar and comfortable to wear. Its cute, I really like it! And then their father is over there looking appropriately adorkable. The man’s an accountant, but he doesn’t look boring enough to be one.
(And don’t ask me how two people with brown hair produce three daughters with blond hair. No one knows, okay?)
Soliel looks adorable! I mean, I’ll admit, I know next to nothing about teenage fashion (or...fashion at all), but I just sort of slapped something together and liked it, so there we are. Soleil is similar to Nova, though, in that she isn’t exactly that into fashion, unlike Luna. But it looks cute, though, and that’s all that matters. ^^;
So yeah, just some random quick and easy Cataclysm designs.

Frisky Dingo #15: “The Opposition” | September 3, 2007 - 12:00AM | S02E02
Frisky Dingo continues to be a thing that I watch and write about. In this one we finally catch up with Xander Crewes. But first we watch Wendell kill a guy so he can steal his bus for the Killface campaign, ditching the documentary cameras in the process. The cameraman spots Xander Crewes living by the side of the road in a series of cardboard boxes where he lives as some sorta hobo entrepreneur, with several scummy side businesses. We also find out he did freaking pornos since we last saw him (featuring the disgusting image of the 7030 gaywads posing for a “very funny” photo). This yields the only joke in the episode I truly liked, where he mentions another title and holds for a minute as if he needs to pause so they can cut to the box art for it. When none comes, he remarks how it was too low-budget to even have box art. Good joke. Didn’t laugh at it, but I can tell it was good.
There are various explanations comical or otherwise for why he couldn’t just live at his house (the hooker from season one and a Chinese guy with a sword [also from season one] won’t let him in), with the Xtacles (because he thought they were robots and tried to take one apart after knocking him out), or his girlfriend (because he doesn’t wanna be smothered).
The episode feels pretty pointless, except for when he dips into backstory stuff about his character. The other, more jokey stuff, is just an unfunny time waster. The episode ends with Xander revealing that he has the check for his fortune that blew away at the end of last season, so he’s been living like a bum just to, I don’t know, wait for a dramatic moment to reveal that he’s actually rich? I guess? It doesn’t make sense and it’s clearly meant to be absurd or ironic or whatever. I didn’t find it particularly pleasing. I am not pleased.
I did remember this one from watching it on television, and I remembered it being bad. Xander Crewes is voiced by Adam Reed, and he’s intentionally very obnoxious in the role. Having an entire episode where he is facing a camera and just talking at you is exhausting. He makes a face at the end, sort of a sassy “winning” face, and man... no doubt about it... this dude SUCKS! Frisky Dingo’s biggest drawback is just how serialized it is, because it’s so uneven that you wish you could skip the weaker episodes. Hell, I feel like Arrested Development used to at least have a few episodes here and there that worked as standalone shows.
Robot Chicken: The Complete Second Season DVD (September 4, 2007)
I’ve decided to let the DVD picture just be huge because I don’t feel like editing it. Anyway, as we all know, I’m not a Robot Chicken fan. I think it’s a bad show for fascists, which I am not one of. But I do have intimate knowledge of this release for some reason, and I am now going to say stuff about what I remember off the top of my head:
This fall, Warner Home Video presents the DVD release of the popular Adult Swim show, Robot Chicken Season Two: Uncensored, created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich. The 2-Disc set of Robot Chicken Season Two: Uncensored will be available September 4, 2007 and will carry a retail price of $29.98 SRP.
A modern take on the variety/sketch show format, Robot Chicken uses stop-motion animation to bring pop-culture parodies to life. No pop-culture target is safe from the satirical sensibilities of the show's creators. Legions of action figures are used to spoof everything from Quentin Tarantino's blood-spattered epics to The Real World. This ratings success story airs on Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's top-rated late night sister service.
This uncensored, 2-Disc DVD set features 20 uncensored episodes and one bonus Christmas episode, in addition to a whole slew of uncensored special features including:
Deleted Scenes
Deleted Animatics
Commentaries on every episode
Behind the scenes footage
Video Blogs
Gag reel
Slide Show

Hi! Could would you like to write something about reader and Tangerine where she have grown up with the twins (a sorta of brothers and sister relationship) and always secretly in love with Tangerine, and viceversa, but at some point they split and she left. Anyway they meet again and during an argument something happen so the truth comes out and a smut at the end?! Ps: Sorry for my bad English but it's not my first language. Thank you so much!
Pairing: Tangerine x femme!reader
Word count: 3.2K
Warnings: Canon typical violence, mentions of guns/fighting/etc., rushed writing about fake dating, etc.
A/N: UMM your english? BETTER THAN MINE TF. Anyways, thank you SO much for this request. School and work have been getting the better of me so this isn’t as well thought out/written as I’d like it to be but I thought I’d get it out! I strayed a little and didn’t include smut :// not very good at writing that. Regardless, enjoy! (Send in more concepts, I like reading them...hehehe)
Tangerine's hair had gotten longer since the last time she'd seen him, but it was still annoyingly managed. There was something inherently bothersome with how he managed to look put together.
She noted how he wore his most tailored suit, the one that caused a compliment to slip through her lips the last time he wore it around her. He leaned against the building, legs crossed with a cigarette settled comfortably under his newly grown mustache.
Pulling her eyes away she opened her arms to greet her old friend, "Lemon..."
"...God, I've missed you..." He sounded exasperated. It made sense especially due to why they'd even met up in the first place. It showed their desperation, "He's running me thin...I swear I might kill him..."
"You always say that," She started to feel the humor bubble in her chest, "...and yet, he's still standing..."
The conversation carried on as if it hadn't been years since they'd seen each other.
Lemon could always make her laugh. That's how their duo became a trio when they were kids. She was the little girl from the apartment over, too timid to even say hello to the twins. Even when he was young, Lemon knew how to separate the genuine from the insincere making it easy to invite her in. Just like then, though, it always made Tangerine's stomach fill with something insipid.
"Alright then, we good?" Tangerine's intentionally harsh accent cut through the long-awaited reunion. It was the only greeting he'd offer her and she knew better than to expect more.
"So, what's happening this time?" She crossed her arms as if that would shield her from the nerves she felt with Tangerine close to her.
Her voice still made his chest feel full.
"Alright..." Lemon seemed hesitant to inform her and in hindsight, she wished she backed out then, "...Well, we've got this art we need to retrieve by the end of the weekend-
"The boss has already seen our faces," Tangerine stated, a frown growing deeper with the memory. It was tits up from the start, but they were stubborn and went forward despite everything going against them. Their job was to intercept the art before the underground auction, "Whole thing went up in flames-
"Lost my eyebrows," Lemon nodded eagerly to prove the point to her further.
Tangerine glared at his brother's interruption, "...There's this soiree of sorts happening-
"Swanky-like," Lemon added, "Suits and ties and-
"And..." Tangerine's anger was rising by the minute, "That's where the auction is being held, meaning the window to get this art back is only a few hours."
She bit at Tangerine lightly, "I'm not doing this solo."
"That's where you come in, right," The conversation bounced back to Lemon's hesitation, which was covered with his characteristic humor, "You'll be Tangerine's missus, so when-
Her laugh cracked like a whip, "Lemon, your ideas are becoming worse and worse."
Reaching to his own hand, Tangerine pulled the ring from his pinky that would be just shy of fitting her ring finger well, "It was mine."
"Happy wife, happy life."
"Words to live by," Tangerine agreed with the elderly man who patted his shoulder harsher than he would normally allow. If it were anyone else, their hand would already be missing.
Instead, his free hand occupied her waist, burning a spot there with how firmly he held her into his side. The conversations varied little; all old couples who wished to live vicariously through the fake couple presented before them. The pair looked good together, the intentionally matching tones of their clothes helped, but what really pushed her over was how heavy the ring felt on her finger.
"Please, sit with my wife and me," The man insisted, slightly pulling Tangerine away from her.
Tangerine's hand trailed down her arm to find her fingertips to hold her hand behind him. He continued his conversation effortlessly, schmoozing with the man who likely had the largest influence at the event. Suddenly, the entire thing felt overwhelming. She needed to detach herself before she dissolved into his touch.
She hadn't thought detaching from him would have been as momentous as he'd made it seem when he looked back at her with worry, "You alright?"
It caught the attention of the other gentlemen around them, but she put them at bay the same way she had with Tangerine when she paired a light hand on his chest to say, "I'll meet you there, I just need the restroom."
The night wasn't inherently difficult, but it would be bad luck to admit something like that. What was worse was how badly she wished something would happen just to be released from playing pretend. It felt cruel in consideration of the years spent trying to subdue her feelings only to play them out as if they were nothing.
Her skin felt like it was crawling with how warmly Tangerine had been towards her. As if forgetting the years that had passed between them without communication. He was being attentive and playing his role as husband a little too confidently, which only served as a reminder of how she failed to uphold her end.
As if hearing her thoughts, Tangerine burst through the bathroom door to see how she stood idly at the sink, "What the hell are you doing?"
"What I'm not allowed to take a piss now?"
"I-" He stopped himself from showing the side she'd slowly come accustomed to. He was holding back his wrath, not willing to express the authenticity of his words. His hand went to his hip while his other was held out in explanation, "I have to talk to that fucking tart out there and you're in here-
"I needed a minute."
There was a brief look of hesitation as if he was going to ask her again if she were alright, but it left just as quickly as it appeared. Running a hand down his face, he went through the plan in his head again. It repeated over and over throughout the night, trying to find if there were any holes.
"Well your minute is up," He held the door open, eyeing the hallway for anything suspicious, "...If you don't get it together we're fucked."
Checking herself over once more in the mirror she asked, "Have you heard from Lemon?"
She knew he was on standby until the auction started, but rarely was he as quiet as he was. Although she wouldn't label him responsible, he was the responsible one of the two which said a lot.
"Ran into some trouble, but he's there." Tangerine looked at her strangely, as if not appreciative of his brother's name being spoken aloud.
She hummed, following him out of the bathroom. She worried about Lemon and his habit to leave his kevlar behind. He was a more than capable person, but that only worried her further knowing he'd get himself into any sort of trouble with confidence.
Tangerine's hand ghosted the small of her back the entire way back to the dining area as if she would stray from the path to get there. The place was grand but held an exclusive guest list that all looked homogenous. Tangerine and she looked modest in comparison, contributing to the unintentional attention on them.
"There you are my boy," The elderly man clapped delightfully, motioning for Tangerine to take the spot saved next to him, "Thought you might have fallen in..."
"That was my fault, I got a little lost," She feigned a laugh that was meant to poke fun at herself, "...It's like a maze down here..."
"Happens to all of us," A warm hand touched her arm that was undoubtedly the elderly man's counterpart, "My first auction, I accidentally ended up in the wine cellar-
"When don't you?" Her husband contributed to the banter.
This world invited Tangerine in, but he just drew the lucky card for the night. Tangerine was brash, and his loyalty to football was always present which gave him an in with the others. They found him charming. She'd never seen him fit a role so willingly. Ideally, she would have too. However, she stayed safe, chatting lightly here and there with the other wives. For something so illegal, it felt so mundane.
"Love?" Tangerine's hand went to her thigh, hand finding security there and able to gain her attention with urgency.
She hoped Tangerine would cover for them as the others asked the question she knew was inevitable. However, that was one this Tangerine lacked in comparison to her; creativity.
"Oh, well.." She placed her hand on his, playing along by toying with his rings like she had when they were younger, "...It's quite a boring story, really..."
"Please." The women urged her to continue as did Tangerine. He was curious to know what she'd come up considering she could barely look at him now.
"...We grew up next to each other," She started with the truth, making it easier to think of more to embellish, "...I hadn't liked him very much at first, thought he was reckless and rude."
"Which I am," Tangerine agreed, playing into it perfectly, "But she was very shy...I'd be lucky to get a word out of her."
She rubbed up his forearm lightly, trying to convey how badly she wanted this to end, but it only encouraged him further.
"She avoided me for years, really," He spoke affectionately, but refused to look into the eyes he felt steadily trained on his profile, "...I'm not really sure what changed her mind in the end."
The ball was hit back to her now, all eyes on her expectantly. She relied on the truth but wasn't sure how far it could take her. A pregnant paused passed, their entire shtick becoming more suspicious by the moment. Tangerine squeezed her thigh, hoping she'd pick up soon before he had to stumble through an excuse. Yet, the extra touch made her chest and face reflect the warmth he made her feel.
"He's quite nice to look at, isn't he?" She teased the crowd as well as him.
Yet, Tangerine seemed surprised at the compliment. Some women giggled in agreement, happy to tease him further and talk about their husband's prime days. It was the perfect response to diverge the conversation while indulging in what they wanted to hear.
Once enough attention was on the pair, she move her hand back to the meal in front of her while Tangerine held her firmly. The people around her seemed harmless despite the white collar crimes they'd committed. Everything didn't seem as life or death as it was made out to be.
Glasses clinked while cutlery clattered on the fine chine. She almost wanted to call it nice. She almost felt content. It distracted her well until the room was filled with darkness. Lemon. It was the last resort message that meant the plan had in fact gone tits up.
There were the expected gasps and clutching of pearls when the red lights illuminated the walls as a lighthouse would. Then men complained, at the ready to fire and sue those who dared to interrupt the event.
Tangerine, though, was already out of his seat, reaching for hers to move swiftly. They would be lucky to have seconds before security became involved and realized they were on the opposing side of it all.
"Stay behind me."
His tone was serious, as he guided her hand to the back of his belt to latch onto. His gun was in his hands in moments as he stalked forward tentatively. Even though Tangerine desired to present a strong exterior, she knew he wore his heart on his sleeve. At the moment, with just his body language, she saw his anxiety about having her there.
He held the gun at the ready, shoulder pressed tightly against the wall preparing for when he'd face what was on the other end. With a hand holding the back of his belt, he could feel the weight of her behind him, helping him focus on disarming the people in front of him from a safe enough distance.
The rooms had been cleared and from the buzzing in Tangerine's pocket, he stressed that the paintings were now under question as well. It all happened too fast for any success of their own. Pulling the device out of his pocket, he heard Lemon's mockery on the other side. She could hear him calmly, yet frustratingly, explain how the art was already stolen. It all meant they weren't alone in the heist.
By the time they'd cleared through the distraction of the henches, and unnecessary bloodshed, the twins finally realized they were intentionally separated. They had been played, meaning their recuperation was even harder. There were people crawling the city they were in, every and any movement suspicious to those looking for them. For the night they were better off waiting to come together.
Her stomach felt queasy at the thought of being utterly alone with Tangerine. He had a dominant personality, but she'd never seen him that way until he unintentionally drove a wedge between them. His presence became pesky. He became overbearing and protective but covered it with an attitude that was unmatched.
Even now as he groaned to himself in pain, she felt irritated.
"Lay down." She instructed him, drying her hands with the hotel washcloth.
Tangerine had been struggling all day. His gait gave him away, one that she aided in stabilizing with her arm locked with his. But that only did so much.
"I'm fine."
The response lacked creativity like all the times before, but the problem remained the same. Tangerine liked to spin the story, and fabricate epic adventures that led to his injury. But in reality, it was due to a bully of a kid that knocked him down during a football match when he was a teenager. It never paired well with the fresh injuries he received with his work.
"I didn't ask how you were," She held back her bark, watching how he even struggled to pull his own shoes off. "I told you to lay down."
His back begged for the brevity and complied easily as he crumpled forward on the sheets with a deep sigh. It felt wrong to crumple the fine fabric of his dress shirt, but it needed to be done for the damage on Tangerine's back to being revealed to her. The bruising was so sensitive it made his skin flinch even with her gentle touch.
"You have this looked at?" She commented when she peeled back the haphazard bandages. Lemon's work, no doubt.
"My back has been killing me," He caved when he felt her hands linger, "Lemon's convinced it'll clear up in a few days."
"It would if you didn't go gallivanting."
Tangerine put his body in every punch, no doubt only irritating the already uncomfortable injury further. Yet, he refused to answer her. Another reason why the dust never settled for them. He hated how her comfort could settle his anger. He wanted her to be gentle with him like she once had, but he wasn't sure if she still held him in the same regard.
It wasn't entirely unknown how the two felt about each other, especially with Lemon's intuitiveness and inability to keep quiet about it. It was a shared soft spot for another. It was exactly why Tangerine turned his back away from her to face her directly, to see if he was lucky enough to see it again.
"You think that?" His tone was like it was when they were teenagers; afraid of her judgment and hesitant.
"Of course I do," Her frown deepened, "I'm worried that-
"No, no," He shook his head, already forgetting the current conversation they were having. The comment played in his mind throughout the night, "That I'm quite nice to look at?"
There it was. It was in the relaxation of every part of her face, her expression softening for him and his child-like eyes looking up at her for an earnest answer.
"I like this." She confirmed delicately, trailing her fingers to the small patch of hair below his lip.
"Go on, then," His lip quirked, "I bet you've been dying to say something."
"I have nothing bad to say," Her hand returned to itself. The facial hair suited him. It matched his energy more than a completely bare face. "I think I might keep it for awhile," He tried to tease her further, hoping to elicit more compliments from her. He knew he wouldn't get anything said to him straight, but he'd take anything she'd offer him.
Tangerine saw how he succeeded as a soft smile came on her lips to match his, "I think you should."
In the progression of the night and the fight, he'd shed some layers. His tie was missing. his jacket forgotten, and buttons now exposing his necklace that hung deep into his chest, something her eyes flickered down to as he moved impossibly closer.
"Tell me something," She started, eyes fixated on him intently, "...You didn't really need me tonight, did you?"
"Not particularly, no," He smiled like he was caught, but she'd been onto him from the start, "...Took me awhile to find you..."
This was how they worked, it wasn't as linear as it should have bee, but they could rely on guaranteed resolution. Usually, over something small or big, the density of it minuscule in comparison to the argument that would explode, would happen. It would happen in a cyclical way and always end in an almost confession. Then, in an attempt to ignore the unsaid, space was required. However, this was the first time an argument hadn't exposed them and the first that long of a period went by. Their kindness in feat of turmoil, became new territory for them.
"Don't get quiet on me now," Tangerine's whisper was desperate, exposing how badly he needed to hear he was in her good graces again, "...Almost like it better when you're yelling at me."
She squinted at him, turning her head slightly to say, "I'm trying to find the lesson to be learned."
It went unnoticed as all subconscious desires go; her scent now mixed with his and so did her desire. They looked entirely casual, propped side by side the way they were. Their bodies needed the come down after all the adrenaline.
"There's always a lesson to be learned," His eyes traced her face with ease.
"What could you teach me that I don't already know?"
He clicked his tongue against his teeth as he tutted lightly, "Well, for example..." Tangerine started with the confidence she always envied. He drew out his words as his hand bravely came to the side of her neck, tapping on her artery that pumped harder than usual, "Did you know that-
The sound that shattered their attention came from the door, resembling a doomed future. Their bodies reacted accordingly, pulling anything to be on the defensive. However, the sturdy steps belonged to Lemon as he finally came into view looking worse for wear. "We need to move, now!"

idk if you meant for people to send them or ask ^^;;
any gene headcannons?
either or! i love building on shit hcs send me or ppl asking me for hcs-
gene omg i haven't gotten him ok gimme gimme a little bit
gene loves dante. like, a lot. he protected dante as a child for a long time and a lot of his motivations before becoming a shadow knight usually originate from wanted to protect dante or to preserve as much of his goodness as possible. someone has to be the good person in the family and he's glad it's gene
from the little drabble i posted the day before, he does get dante's calls but he never answers. he has once out of maybe some sort of relapse in his judgement which is why dante knows gene is out there.
honestly, compared to his pdh counterpart, i sincerely think gene is much more serious? he’s extremely serious about his job as someone directly under azazel (shad). of course he is very much capable of making snide funny guy remarks, especially when he’s in a shithead mood.
i have no idea if u read my whole background thing on gene and dante but here it is. ANYWAY yeah, as i mentioned in the last bullet point he works directly under azazel himself. i’d have to talk about why this is so special, specifically in my rewrite but there’s too much context so maybe some other day. BUT this brings me to my next stuff
gene is definitely a power hungry fucker. in the past when he was human he always wanted power, he always wanted to be on top of the food chain, but he’d always get thrown down. as someone who was never given the taste of true power, behind than his memory abilities, he wanted to rise the ranks of the shadow knights. i think azazel also saw something in him and sorta had a bit of a favoritism? probably because he saw himself in gene and wanted to raise him a bit. (I HAVE CONTEXT FOR THIS I PROMISE U!!! i just haven’t,,, written about it yet)
gene is incapable of killing dante. i think this is sorta supported by what happens in the actual show too? when he first came back to dante after becoming an SK, he believed he was ready to do so, to accomplish the first step to being a full fledged shadow knight. he was so upset, so pissed and betrayed by what dante had “done” but couldn’t bring himself to actually kill him. that’s his little brother yknow? the little dumbass who would never stop bothering him!! but he was still so.. he was filled with so much rage that he decided to do the next best thing and erase the memories of the village except dantes. and GOD i wish i could go indepth with how that’d coincide with the quote: “Someone needs to remember” but this post is already long as fuck
some smaller hcs include
hella nightmares, feel like the SK’s are plagues w/ those 100%
he didn’t know how to read when he was turned, sasha was the one who taught him
he actually cannot stand the heat and would take living in the tundra over the nether. im 100% his room in the nether is imbued w/ some sort of cooling magic. he might be used to the heat but doesn’t mean he likes it
so good @ cooking. whenever he and the SK’s have some sort of feast, they all throw him into the kitchen
#okay i squeezed the last drops of gene creativity that i could muster#I HOPE THIS IS GOOD#aphmau#minecraft diaries#mcd gene#mcd dante#shadow knights#aphblr

Marauders+ other peep’s reaction to the reader getting a piercing?
Hi!! Since I’ve been inactive for a few weeks I decided to add a lot more characters for this reaction,
this includes: Lily, Marlene, Bellatrix, Molly, Mary, Dorcas, Alice, Arthur, Barty Crouch Jr, Severus, Gideon, Fabian, Frank,
The main boys have a slightly bigger reaction than the rest, but in majority these aren’t that long! I hope you enjoy it, xoxo.
Marauders + Other Peeps reactions to you getting a new piercing
Word count: 1.4K
[ Warnings: mostly gender neutral with some female terms/nicknames, mention of needles/blood, etc… ]
James Potter:
- you didn't tell him that you were going to get another piercing, so he sees you during the first class of the day and he flips.
- After class, he ditches the rest of the Marauders and zooms over to you.
- "uh hello beautiful? What's that impeded in your skin?"
- he has a funny tone, but he's worried that you hurt yourself. He likes the piercings you have, but he just wishes you did it professionally.
- "Okay, are you cleaning it? Did you sanitize everything you used? It looks irritated, let's go to the infirmary,"
- he worries that you might get an infection, but when you tell him everything's fine, he calms down.
- "you look beautiful with it,"
Peter Pettigrew:
- he likes when you get new piercings, he always buys you more accessories as gifts. He doesn't understand the idea behind them, but he thinks you look cute.
- one day, you walk into his room with your piercing kit. Grabbing Peter's hand, you take him to the bathroom and sit him on the toilet.
- " I wanna get a new piercing," you state, smiling as you turn over and start to clean up. Peter is flabbergast, but he watches with his hands on your hip.
- "oh love, did that hurt?" He asked, twitching slightly as he heard the thud from the needle going through.
- after you finished, he smiled and kissed your cheek.
Remus Lupin:
- you tell him that you're thinking about getting a piercing and he encourages you to do it.
- he didn't think you would, since you have been talking about it for a long time. But when you stride over confidently to where he sat at the Gryffindor table, he instantly knows what you did.
- he enjoys your confidence, hugging you with a kiss.
- "let me see, I wanna see how pretty you look with it,"
- the new piercing compliments you well and Remus makes all his friends compliment you for the new look.
- "you look good bun, I hope it doesn't hurt too bad,"
Regulus Black:
- After you finish piercing and cleaning up, you go and find Regulus to tell him.
- when you tackle him with a hug from behind, he turns around and scoops you in his arms.
- "oh mon amour, I needed that...-what the hell did you do?"
- he grabs your face and tilts it, looking at the piercing. You explain what you did and Regulus only shakes his head.
- "oh amour, Merlin. You could have hurt yourself,"
- he is gentle with that area for a few days, making sure that you're okay and periodically checking that it's getting cleaned.
- He likes it more than he would admit.
Sirius Black:
- "you pierced without me! You traitor!"
- if he doesn't have that piercing done, he will go to the bathroom and do it himself so he can match with you.
- he only gives a giant smile when you start to yell at him, blood seeping from the pierced skin.
- "what! I just wanted to match with my lover, is that so bad?"
- He kisses around the area where your piercing is, even pinching the delicate skin so he can get a reaction out of you.
- "Alright, I'll stop! You're just too cute. It looks really good, I'm glad you did it."
- a gift for being inactive for so long -
Alice Fortescue:
- her eyes sparkle as she looks at it, her soft fingers touching your skin gently so she can peer closer at the jewel.
- "it looks so pretty! Did it hurt?"
- when you tell her all about it; she just smiles and listens. She will probably go back to her dorm and tell all her dorm mates about it.
- "Did you see [ name ] new piercing? They look so cool!"
Bellatrix Black:
- "huh? What the hell is that in your skin?!"
- she grabs your face and just turns it every direction, eyes wide with the grittiest look in them. She doesn't understand until you explain it to her.
- "why would you ever want to do that?"
- you explain that you just enjoy it, she looks one more time at it before just shrugging it off. It takes her a while to get used to it.
- "Can you give me a piercing? I want to match,"
Dorcas Meadows:
- "Hey, you got a new piercing!"
- she asks you all about it, thinking there is a deeper meaning behind your want for it.
- she lets you talk all about it, her eyes intense as she listens to you talk and show her all your piercings.
- "Wow... you're so pretty. You are the most genuine human I have ever seen; I love your soul,"
Lily Evans:
- "... are you making sure you’re cleaning it properly?"
- Lily Evans is definitely the parent/mom in the relationship, she just wants to make sure it doesn't get infected and that you hurt yourself.
- "YOU DID IT BY YOURSELF?! I mean, it looks good but you should have gotten a professional!"
- she lectures you, but she thinks you look really good with it and compliments you.
Mary MacDonald:
- "something different about you..."
- she looks you over with a finger to her chin, thinking about what you did to change your appearance.
- after a while, she shrugs. "I don't know what it is, tell me!"
- when you show her the piercing, her eyes light up as she gets really close to you.
- "wow! That's so cool, Marlene as one just like yours! You pull it off really well,"
Marlene McKinnon:
- "Hey... where matching!"
- she will show you her piercings, explaining the history behind them.
- every time she sees you, she'll make sure you're doing alright and it doesn't hurt.
- she probably wants to start a "piercing party", where a bunch of people come over for a sleepover and pierce each other. Lily shut down the idea before it could even begin.
Molly Prewett:
-"ugh! You're so lucky, my mum won't let me!"
- "you look fucking brilliant though, pull it off better than most people,"
- she is constantly looking at it, asking you questions and poking it.
- as a gift, she will probably give you more piercings to try out to switch with your current one.
Arthur Weasley:
- he taps you on the shoulder, watching as you turn around.
- "What is that?"
- you explain to him what it is and how you do it, his eyes get wider as you explain it's a common thing.
- "is that a muggle thing?"
- He understands ear piercings, but other body parts make him confused. But in general, he thinks you pull it off.
Barty Crouch Jr:
- His eyes instantly go to the piercing, his eyes moving with it as you talk. When you get his attention, he just smiles weirdly and licks his lips.
- "it looks hot,"
- He laughs when you punch his shoulder lightly, rubbing his arm.
- He probably has nipple piercings (because his dad said he couldn't pierce his skin, but of course Barty rebelled out). He would show you, lifting his shirt as he showed them off.
- "ya like them? I did them myself,"
Frank Longbottom:
- his eyes go wide as he looks at your piercing, finding it fascinating how you use piercings to showcase who you are.
- "hi... hi yeah, I just wanted to say that you are absolutely stunning,"
- he keeps flattering you, absolutely in awe at the new look.
- in class, he has to get reminded to pay attention. He finds himself constantly looking towards you, his chin resting in his palm.
Fabian Prewett:
- his tongue pokes out as he watches you from afar, not understanding why there was a jewel in your skin.
- "Hey... HEY! Wait up speedy! What's that thingy you got in your skin? Is it some type of disease?"
- when you explain what it is, his mouth agape as he sticks out his tongue.
- "Do you think I can get a tongue piercing? Ya know... for the lady's,"
Gideon Prewett:
- "wow... WOW,"
- he just stares and pokes it, a smile on his face as you swat his hand away.
- "Is this a prank? How did it go in?"
- "a... A NEEDLE?"
- when you burst out laughing, he starts to awkwardly laugh in confusion.
Severus Snape:
- he would think you looked funny and would tell you his thoughts.
- "it looks dumb, you looked fine before,"
- when you told him why you did it, he just sorta grimaced and shrugged his shoulders.
- "Whatever, if you like it then there's nothing I can do,"
- If you start to get more piercings, he would sort of just give a weird look but not mention it.

Oh yeah for sure out of Hopkins vs Mads its definitely Mads Hannibal that makes me go the most batshit feral insane
But also like yeah if we want to draw even more parallels between Hannibal and Dark then they both technically have sort of tragic backstories that made them the way they are which interestingly enough both have to do with sisters and cabins in the snow though for Dark this admittedly wasn't the inciting incident but more of the catalyst but still the connection was there and I had to draw it
And like in Hannibal good and evil don't really exist its all more just marbled patterns of grey (very very dark grey but still grey) and like to an extent its kinda the same thing in the Markcu bc in there everyone is technically a 'bad person', Actor Mark just happens to be the winner of the Bitch Olympics but like literally nobody is innocent there including Damien.
I do also feel like yeah the house has a part to play with Dark being Like That but also I think that due to his own anger his morals have absolutely shifted so that when/if he does do heinous shit he can kind of justify it to himself as being what he had to do to get revenge on the Actor + to play the role as the villain, sorta the way Hannibal has morals shifted (very far) away from those held by the rest of society
And I mean Hannibal as a show is more artistic in the way it presents death we could take the Markcu to be also sort of artistic in the way that Dark and the Actor take their own deaths, making it a drawn out performance
Plus if he were to be more Hannibal-esque it would be an interesting angle if he sort of held the same opinion of everyone else that they are all beneath him sorta like how Hannibal tells Abel that it isn't cannibalism bc they aren't equals
Honestly I do wish we had more appearances of Dark after he was sort of recontextualized in wkm since he hasn't really had many opportunities to actually do anything. Like in Heist he had very little screen time and in Space we got a shoe (not complaining or anything since that just didn't happen to be the direction it went) but he's kinda done jackshit so far in terms of reaching his goal of killing the Actor
And like I don't want them to be the same character but like yes actually I would love Dark to be more of an unapologetically evil and manipulative bitch in the same vein as Hannibal
Duo of fucked up evil men with boyfriends named Will
Hannibal is everything Dark should've been.
#I am v sorry if this is incoherent but I had Thoughts#can u tell these pieces of media drive me very insane#did a presentation on mizumono for a film class once and that was very fun#make darkiplier kill and eat someone!!!!!!!!#thank u op you have the biggest brain#wkm

I remember I was at a circular lake, in a forest. How I got there is getting away from me, but I know I was with some people. I don't think I knew them very well, but there was a guy I recognized that looked sorta like Hunk from Voltron (and he was a hunk!). I had a feeling that he liked me in an admiration sort of way.
But we weren’t there for that, the group was interested in studying me. I had some kind of power they were interested in. We came to this lake to try them out. Hunk was a sort of data analyst, so he was coordinating a lot of it. As we went through tests, at a certain point I figured out how to time travel using ionization radiation. I’m not sure where we got this idea but after I had managed to travel a couple of times I saw a diorama like thing explaining the process.
It said I absorbed radiation and my electrons would leave my body? I would get a positive charge as a result and could zap to the past, so to speak. When I did this I would appear red to others because of speed, I think. It’s like that one physics thing. Or maybe it was because I was gaining back electrons. Anyway, the details are fuzzy, but I wouldn't stay red for long.
I don't remember how I traveled my first few times, but I do remember that my first time was an accident. I had managed even to bring along a friend from the lake too. We were both like ???? Did we just time travel??? We were able to go back without a problem and the hunk guy had started typing on him laptop about the discoveries as soon as we appeared again. (He also included some notes about me like cutie and stuff which I tried to backspace with my mind but I couldn't because telekinesis was not one of my powers.)
I expressed my frustration out loud and said, "I can time travel but I wish I had telekinesis so I can press your back-sass button,” or something similar. I’m kinda shy so the thought of someone liking me was too much, even in dream form. Although I think after I said this everyone was like, “Why don't you try again?” They tried to have me lift up an object (maybe a box?) but I couldn't and I said I would just go back in time again, so we could study that a bit more. Plus I was still embarrassed about the cutie thing so I tried again for the third time.
The way I traveled was a little weird this time, though. I saw these cards, completely black and covering my field of view. Then I saw a huge number and the word sommelier written under it for some reason. The number would count down but at strange intervals, I believe it started at the current year. It was only five flashes before I got to 1024 and that’s when I stopped my travel. I suddenly saw a lake and lots of vegetation.
As I was wondering the significance of this year was, I suddenly saw an aerial view to show it was the circular lake lake again and the surrounding forest. I walked along the lake’s edge and found some nets. They were coving grape like berries in the water. I think I made one fall into the lake by mistake somehow but I pulled another in and got a net full of berries. The were pre-arranged into different colors in the net and for some reason I dragged them along the shore going towards the forest; the lake was to my left.
I got to a clearing and found a couple, they were parents. The mother had her back turned and the father was facing towards me, holding a very freckled baby. I asked, “What's wrong with that baby?” because I thought there was something wrong with it, I had a feeling, and the mother turned around revealing a very beautiful, freckled face as well.
She had black hair and dark almond eyes. I didn’t move when I saw her and wasn’t sure what to do. I had no thoughts other than that she was very beautiful and had the sense I was intruding on something important. She greeted me with, “Hello (my name),” as kids from her village took the berries I had. Though I didn’t see it, I had a feeling that somewhere to the left there was a village filled with her people living there peacefully. I just hadn't turned my head to see it. I kept eye contact with her as the berries were taken from me. I asked how she knew my name and if this really was the year 1024 she said it was and smiled.

Best of 2022
Tagged by @summerhomeineskew
Will do my best to include at least one 2022 thing for each but if I don't have any it will just have to be "x I experienced for the first time this year".
Books:
Been awful with books this year, only read three and I don't even remember which three. One was a re-read as well. Therefore I'll cheat and add one I finished at the very end of last year, maybe finished on New Year's Day 2022 so sorta counts: Death's End by Cixin Liu, the final installment of the Remembrance of Earth's Past Trilogy (aka the Three Body Problem trilogy). It's hard sci-fi with some incredible storytelling and world building. It feels effortlessly real despite incredibly big ideas and a storyline that spans centuries. I don't wish to summarise, not necessarily for spoiler reasons, but because written in synopsis it doesn't sound all that interesting, but in reading it it is one of the most immersive and thrilling reading experiences I have had in a very long time.
Movies:
Ugh, I feel shamed that the only films I've seen in the cinema this year were superhero movies. And I love superhero movies don't get me wrong, but I really wish I could give my patronage to worthier fare, but having limited time and a small child means you need to be reasonably certain you're going to at least partially like the movie you watch.
I saw "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", "Thor Love and Thunder", and "Black Adam". All entertaining in their own way, Doctor Strange probably my favourite of the three, but the film I saw this year and enjoyed the most was probably "The Matrix Resurrections". I actually really liked a lot of things Lana Wachowski did with the storyline, even if it did feel like it was being wrung from her against her will with some pretty on the nose metatextual moments. Nonetheless, she refused to make "another Matrix" be what the studio and audience probably expected and wanted and instead went full George Lucas (and I mean that as a compliment) made the Matrix she wanted to make. I felt it was handled surprisingly deftly and although Weaving and Fishburne are SORELY missed, their replacements hold their own well.
Songs:
Ugh, I out myself very clearly as a basic cishet white man here and say, honestly? My favourite songs this year were from Taylor Swift and a Disney movie respectively. I really like "Anti-Hero" and "Surface Pressure" the latter especially for articulating the kind of struggle I think most people (women especially) deal with daily that is rarely acknowledged, let alone fully discussed in children's entertainment.
*Games:
A lot of old games this year bith new to me and recisted. The only 2022 game this year was "Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga" and it is so much fun, if overwhelmingly large. There's like a thousand bricks to collect this time as opposed to the usual low hundred or so. The number of characters is impressive though andnthe updated mechanics makes it play unlike any other Lego game does.
Honourable mentions of games I played for the first time this year:
Lethal league - Really fun sports game meets fighting game, sort of dodgebaseball, frenetic fun
Exo One - A chill game with satisfying mechanics, pilot an unusual spacecraft through numerous planets
Halo 5 - I don't much like Halo as a series but I do like some of the individual games, as a result the "lore butchery" didn't bother me at all and I actually felt it was making some bold story choices that Inwould not have expected
Ghost of Tsushima - Beautiful looking and expertly crafted ninja/samurai game. Ubisoft wishes they could make AC this good again.
Shows:
Honestly here is where I lay out my unabashed love for "Obi-wan Kenobi". When it was announced I knew I was going to love it no matter what and whilst there are some flaws in the narrative that leave some gaping plot holes or confusing character choices, the overall experience was so much more than I ever dared dream, we got Obi-wan vs Vader twice. We got Hayden and Ewan back giving a much more layeed performance, we got some really heartfelt moments between Obi-wan and Leia and I actually liked Reva as a character, even if her decision in the final episode made little sense.
"House of the Dragon" also surpassed expectations, even as someone who was satisfied with GOTs ending. Special mention also to Ms. Marvel for giving a refreshing take on teen heroes and a standout turn from newcomer Iman Vellani, and pour one out for "Legends of Tomorrow", the show that dared to be stupid.
Memories:
So many new ones with a small child but best has to be first snow with him in an idyllic cottage in the countryside with my wife and in laws. Also built my first snowman at 32 and used one of my son's veggie straw crisps for its nose.
*added because I love video games more than music so a better metric for me
I tag @unseeliefaerie and @cryptobotanical should they wish to partake (no need to do so if you don't want to though =))
Edit: OMG I forgot "Glass Onion" was the best film of 2022. Got in just under the wire on NYE. Funny and entertaining, not quite as good as "Knives Out" and imo a less interesting supporting cast that wasted some of its talents (Leslie Odom Jr and Kathryn Hahn to name two) but Janelle Monae was terrific and Daniel Craig got more to chew on this time; still a very fun time.
