rewatching yellowjackets in preparation of s3 and noticing so much symbolism in jackie. like in the beginning we see her talking to coach martinez and we literally get told how she isnt the fastest or the most technically skilled of the girls on the team but she is still the leader because she has the ability to hold them together and the charisma to make them listen to her. we see this when shauna fights with tai and everyone starts in on each other after what happens to allie. when jackie is the one to tell them that enoughs enough and that they need to overcome their differences for the sake of the team. we even see her try to take on this role again when they crash, even though she probably shouldnt have, and she tells shauna to leave van in the plane. luckily, but sort of unluckily for jackie, van is able to escape on her own. though it is good that van didn't die, i believe this was the first straw that starts jackies transition from the fearless, confident leader of the group to the outcast.

after van saves herself (which im not mad about btw. i LOVE van) and there is that resentment against jackie in her, it makes it a lot easier for everyone to turn on her. on top of it all, although she is a good leader, jackie isnt able to assume that role because she cant find a purpose. not being able to provide or help the group in any lasting way is just another reason for them to feel like she isnt needed, like they could easily survive without her. we see this building when shauna goes to try to teach her to be a butcher and, as theyre walking away, mari and akilah (?) give her a look. also when shauna outright tells her she cant just go on doing nothing. at least on the soccer team she was doing something, but here, with no tasks shes willing or able to complete, she has no leg to stand on. theres really no reason for anyone to listen to her.

it only gets worse from then on, the tension peaking after doomcoming. regardless of how high and drunk they were, they scared the shit out of jackie and never apologize to her for it. everyone just kind of expects her to get over it. besides, she had tried to "steal" travis in their eyes, despite nat and travis not even being together anymore. not to mention her accidentally and unknowingly causing the break up in the first place. her anger with the girls for not easily forgetting the night before i think is honestly the last straw for all of them. that is why they dont really care when jackie tells them that shaunas baby is jeffs. thats why lottie tells ben not to step in when the fight escalates. thats why they ultimately leave her in the dust. she loses her reliability and trustworthiness in their eyes through her inability to assimilate to life in the wilderness as a whole, meaning she loses her status completely as the head of the team.

despite all this, she is able to hold them together like she did at home in the end. her final act of generosity and love for her team is giving her body, the meat she provides when she is steamed by the pyre and snow. even though for almost all of her stay with them in the wilderness, she hardly did anything to help, in the end, she carries them through one more night, her warmth filling their aching bellies and satisfying their hunger.

honestly this au is a little bit our way of pulling our characters away from the uh. mess? sands was? what w spine, the admin, being a complete ass to the players, making the server game atmosphere feel shitty as hell, and eventually getting outed for cheating and being removed from their own game. this au is a bit us going hey, despite eveything we DID have fun in these games and we wanna take our little guys and this nice friendship we made and do our own thing

um. that said—if you wanted to watch sands the echolocati0n pov has the most of doomsday in it!!

anyway. thank you so much for your interest and investment in the doomsday dnd au!! i’m really glad to hear you like our little guys so much. bc i am obsessed w them so bad. i plan to keep writing little oneshots for it and such and if ppl ask questions abt the au i will answer em (or bring em back to the group for answers). we’re still in the process of fleshing it out basically daily trying to work everything thru but we do have a lot more than just what’s posted so far

the short version of the inspiration is kind of just…

woven - maruu and i were soulmates (this is basically all we took from woven)

sands - the five of us teamed up for an alliance i ran which we called the doomsday cult, and the general setup and allegiances of the characters come from our actions in sands. generally—cj and i started the group (i had a doomsday prophet bit and syyrin was cj’s character for sands), chris joined later but was half in our alliance and half in another and regularly betrayed both of us (but he was allowed bc it was funny), maruu was in another alliance but was betrayed by them and joined us after we got revenge for them, and smurg joined the game late but was in our alliance from the moment they joined

ctm - the format of the au itself as a fetch quest of many pieces of the god, mabuz (based strongly off the antagonist from divinity’s end, who was called the curator and who we dubbed evil skizzleman, bc he looked like skizzleman), our general playstyles in the ctm maps. we’ll also been using each area of the divinity’s end map for the areas the dnd group will go to, but we haven’t fleshed all of those out yet

there are. def more details we got from woven/sands/ctm im forgetting but ive only been awake for like 15 minutes and i do plan to go back to sleep after answering this

''Sorry Donghyuck, find someone better than me, I'll miss you'' You said before hanging up while you were on your way to the airport. Tears fell out of your eyes and your face turned red, it was heartbreaking for both of you but had to accept it to pursue your dreams. After a few hours, you were walking toward the gate hoping that someone would show up to wave a last goodbye to you but there wasn't until you recognized a familiar figure. It was Mark but there was someone else, Donghyuck.

Why would he show up after you just broke up with him? And before you could realize it, he was hugging you with all his strength but without making you feel uncomfortable, you could feel his tears all over your shoulder. ''Can you just stay with me forever'' You were speechless, no words would come out of your mouth. ''Donghyuck, let her go, her plane is leaving'' That's when you finally saw Mark, his face was weird or maybe it was an unknown expression you didn't know but you could feel him avoiding the situation. Was he hiding something? ''Donghyuck, what kind of boyfriend won't let go of his girlfriend who's about to start a new life'' you asked trying to separate from him, ''me, that's me, I don't want you to leave me believe it or not'' Everyone could tell he was heartbroken, his voice was cracking and his tears were dunking my shirt.

''Donghyuck, let, her, go'' Mark said which surprised us, he wasn't that typical serious guy but this was new. He sounded angry and annoying, you could see some almost invisible tears falling down his cheek. Donghyuck finally let you go but before you turned he grabbed your cheeks with both of his hands and pulled you close, ''If this is our last kiss I'll make you regret going thru that gate'' and both of your lips were together, this kiss was indeed a very passionately one, like if he wouldn't be able to see you again, well, kind off. Your lips were soft but dangerously addicting, it was like poison and the more he leaned to kiss you the more he knew he was gonna suffer. You pushed him back and said waved goodbye to Mark who was clearly awkward and before finally going you whispered Donghyuck, ''Just remember that I will always love you Hyuck'' and you left.

That moment was one of Donghyuck's nightmares, the immediately thought of you never coming back was tormenting him, you were his first everything and you two were inseparable. ''Donghyuck, let's go'' but he just followed him in silence. They both sat down in the car and Donghyuck leaned to the window to watch the views of the city or to think about you, but it was clear what he was doing. The ride back home was awkward and quiet, very quiet. The heartbroken dude would normally blast some music or talk about anything, but not this time. Everyone could see how your leaving was affecting him a lot more than you thought, wouldn't a boyfriend support his lover's decision? But Donghyuck was childish and still wanted whatever he wished for not this time, he couldn't.

[2nd of September, 13:27]

The official first morning without you, Donghyuck still lived with his parents so they could see how upset their son was because of your leave. He woke up very late due to crying all night ''Honey, do you want to eat something'' his mom said when she realised he woke up, ''It's okay mom, I'll do something myself'' But his mom wasn't satisfied with that answer, ''My baby has grown so much that he's experiencing his first break up'' She couldn't help but tease him even if he wasn't in the right mood. ''Mom, stop I'm very sad for real'' Donghyuck said annoyed hoping that his clingy mom would stop it. ''Honey, if you want to vent you have us, okay? You only lost her not us'' And then they both hugged each other, Donghyuck was already kinda rebellious towards his parents but all he needed right now was that comfort coming from her mother.

Today Donghyuck only stayed home, not feeling like doing anything, not even practise his daily hour of guitar, he ignored all the texts his friends sent him but he did saw your Instagram story, you were posing at the airport with your suitcase, but it wasn't your city's one, it was the arrival one. Donghyuck could feel the happiness in your eyes and didn't notice how he was staring at the pic for a couple of minutes already. ''Lee Donghyuck stop looking at that picture, or I'm taking your phone'' His mother discovered what he was up to, she didn't want her own son to look sad so of course she had to. He hid his phone in order to not look at you anymore. Today he felt like it wouldn't end and it was taking a lot of time to become night time. When it finally did he just went back to sleep hoping that it was all a dream.

[9th of September, 16:09]

A week has passed since you left, and Donghyuck returned to his daily routine. Wake up, practise the guitar, hang out with friends, play videogames, do group practise and finally go to bed. He still missed you of course and all his friends could see it from just looking at him. They were all at the garage to practise as a group and as always Donghyuck was distracted again because of his overthinking since you left and Hendery, the drummer, hit his head with his stick to wake him up. ''OUCH DUDE WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM'' He screamed and let out all his accumulated anger which was inside him, ''Wake up, we repeated the song over 10 times you dumbass'' Then he realised how exhausted they were because of him and his thoughts, I mean it was normal but he knew he gotta put you aside.

[30th of September, 19:02]

By now he would already have forgotten about you, right? Well, not exactly. He would not think about you all the time, but every time you were mentioned in a conversation he would have a short stage of depression until he recovered and all over again. Mark also didn't talk that much with him since you left, even if Donghyuck texted him he would either ignore it or say ''Sorry I was busy'' but Donghyuck knew it was because you left, although he didn't know Mark had feelings for you.

[1st of January, 02:02]

New Year, a time of happiness around your family, friends, and lovers. Unfortunately, Donghyuck thought about how when you entered his life always celebrated New Year's by yourselves near the lake. At this point, he knows how much he liked you. How come you are always on his mind? This time Donghyuck was with his family, he doesn't dislike them but having too many people around kinda stressed him so he automatically walked to the lake you two would always go, it was like muscle memory.

When he arrived he expected you to be there with him, like a clique movie. But of course you didn't, he sat down on the grass watching the bright moon under him. He opened Instagram to see what you were up to and clicked on your stories. It was a group mirror selfie with some of your new friends with the text ''Happy New Year ❤️️'' Donghyuck wanted to text you Happy New Year too but since September you both decided to not talk to not make it awkward, you two didn't even end up as friends so for Donghyuck it was already over and needed to move on. That's right, his New Year resolution was to get over you.

[6th of June, 15:11]

On a scale of 1 to 10, he would be half over you, it was great progress, but the thing was for that to happen he needed to overwork himself which resulted in too much stress for him to be able to control it. Jeno, NCT's bassist, was the one who always took care of him when it happened because when he was sick his fever would go high and then have constant dizziness. And today was his birthday, his first one without you on his side, today he wanted to practise, a lot more than usual but then Jeno noticed and told everyone in the group about Donghyuck's condition they made him not go to practise and rest. He spent the rest of the day on his bed and when it was nighttime his friends came to celebrate while he was laying on bed, not the best experience but neither the worst.

[4th of August, 09:41]

Almost a year has passed since you left, Donghyuck knew at this point how much time has passed and wouldn’t be weird of he still didn’t miss your touch, face, and everything he could imagine of. Today Mark texted him.

Mark: hey dude, do you still have any photos of y/n? If you do could you send it to me?

He didn’t expext that, Mark didn’t talked with him that much, in fact, since you left they only talked 6 times.

Donghyuck: why?

To be honest, he knew why. It was probably for your birthday which was next week and wanted to make a gift with it

Mark: for her birthday dude

Donghyuck was feeling kinda jealous because it probably meant that Mark and you still had contact and not him.

Donghyuck: do you two keep contact?

He went straight for it.

Mark: yea why? We shouldn’t?

Donghyuck: lets meet

Mark: rn?

Donghyuck: yea yk where

But in reality, he wasn't sure why he wanted to meet, maybe he would beat the crap out of Mark, or maybe he would have an old small talk with him. The place where he wanted to meet was the park where you, Mark, and he used to go whenever you three hang out. When Donghyuck arrived, Mark was already there but he changed, he dyed his hair blond and grew it, he also had an eyebrow piercing and his fashion style changed. Mark was the typical good boy and since Donghyuck haven’t seen him in so long he didn’t expect that. “hey Mark, since when do you smoke?” Mark wasn’t ashamed of smoking in public, instead, he was a gangster-like dude. “Just happened to be so, why did you wanna meet tho” his speech form didn’t change, which made Donghyuck a little more comfortable.

“Yo relax, I just arrived, we have plenty of time, also happy late birthday'' Mark thanked him since he didn't text him. Those two sat down on the nearest bench there was. ''So if you guessed, it's about y/n''−''Yea I guessed it''. ''Do you keep in contact with her?'' Mark knew what he wanted to ask him, it was pretty obvious. ''Yea, we talk sometimes, you don't right?'' he was right. Donghyuck and you were complete strangers at this point. ''So what do you want me to do? Tell her you miss her? That would make you such a pussy to be honest'' Donghyuck's life consisted of trying not to think about you at this point. ''Have you ever experienced a really hurtful breakup, Mark?'' He tried to attack because he knew Mark didn't do relationships, nobody knew why but everyone let him be. ''No, but if I ever do I wouldn't be a crybaby like you'' Well Mark maybe has already a crush on someone or he really isn't interested in dating. ''By the way, how's your romantic life going? As you see mines going downhill dude'' Everyone would be interested in someone's love life, right? ''I think you know I'm not interested in dating, but my mind might be changing you know?'' That was surprising, did he find someone? ''Damn Mark, go ahead before someone steals them''. The conversation kept going for hours until they realised it was time to go back to their homes, it has been a long time since they had a real conversation so it was a very pleasing time.

[13th of August, 00:01]

Today was your birthday, that's the first thing Donghyuck thought when he saw the hour, that was the first birthday that you two didn't spend together. He was tucked in his bed when he heard someone scream happy birthday, right, today was Jaemin's birthday, one of his roommates. To not think about you anymore he decided to have some fun there too, ''Hey Jaem, happy birthday'' He said while stealing a piece of fried chicken, ''Thanks Donghyuck, where's my gift tho'' ''motherfucker, you want a kiss or something?'' The 4 roommates drank to celebrate it and ended when everyone dozed off, probably like 5AM but at least Donghyuck didn't think about you as much as he expected to.

[2 years later, 20th of December]

Donghyuck surely moved on but there was still a small part of him missing you, or a big part, or half but he still didn't date anyone neither put interest in other girls, his friends joked about you leaving a trauma in him and turned gay or something but he didn't care at all. Donghyuck didn't overwork himself anymore which was a relief for everyone. Mark and him talk more than they used to since you left and Donghyuck got used to his new self.

It was almost Christmas time and his parents wanted to go out for vacation and decided to go to the city you were in, they asked his son if he wanted to go too. He spent all this morning thinking about the decision. If he went, he surely would go and see you but he wouldn't want to leave if so, wouldn't it be easier for both of you if he just stayed in his city? And of course his decision was to not go, he was almost over you so it was the most reasonable reason he could find.

[3 months before you cameback, 29th of March]

You told Mark you were coming back because of the 'failure' you were having in your new life, he sounded very excited and quickly told everyone he was close with, including Donghyuck. When Mark first told him he thought it was some kind of joke but it turned out to be true. Since then he would be dreaming of the moment he meets you, what should he say? When will it be? And most importantly, would you still love him?.

I was wondering what your insights are regarding the artmaking process and social media / the void of the internet.

Lately I've been feeling like all of my inspiration comes from tumblr, which is nice, because I create a true feed of things i really do find inspiring, but it feels like all it does though is feed into itself- i find my practice becomes extinguished when I think too hard about what I make and try to synthesize all my inspirations down into a lovely simmer.

All in all...

What do you do to keep your artistic practice healthy/strong? Is there any way that it relates to the internet/ goes away from the internet? And any advice for a healthy balance between a practice that is both informed by the internet but keeps a healthy distance?

no need to apologize i love this Q 🙏 i totally understand, i love tumblr but i barely look at my dashboard anymore, out of the whole day i scroll maybe 10-20 minutes total lol, and its kinda forced cus cus i dont wanna fall out of touch w friends .. some insight on this -

dont get me wrong tumblr has brought me a lot of visual inspo over time but at this point in my life i am really obsessed w being in my own energy -w- And enforcing boundaries between my own thoughts/feelings + those of others. the more disconnected i am the more inspired i naturally feel

one of my biggest inspo is hilma af klint, and her methods of channeling, is how i try to draw now. i have found ways i can ~empty my vessel~ until visions start coming thru, which i believe r from my angel guides. thats actually a huge reason y im quitting weed lol i care a lot about being as receptive as possible. walking outside rly helps stuff come thru, as well as yoga, i get crazy ass vividness visuals during yoga !!

another thing thats a fun exercise is like, closing your eyes & watching the fractals on ur eyelids to see what apeears. i always loved doing this as a child! also stuff like, staring at the ceiling until forms appear, staring at tree bark or cracks in the cement. i have been doing this stuff my whole life but recently i heard this can be a method of channeling :o

also this is maybe an obvious one but listening to music while drawing can really help ignite a flow state, maybe a word in the lyrics will stand out to u and send ur mind on a visual path, reading does this for me too, language rly helps me generate pictures in abstract ways not directly related to what's being said/written

ultimately just practice going inwards & getting into flow state , watever method of getting there works for u, keep practicing ,it gets easier w time

But yeah the internet is really not part of my creative process at all anymore, other than to share my work. its just too overwhelming to my senses. i enjoy making art sm more now that ive distanced myself. thats just wat works for me ^-^

finally some appreciation for my man and favourite character kingler like he goddamn DESERVES. i actually have not enjoyed tadc very much theres so much i rly dislike abt it but its like super well produced and indie so like you watch to be on the loop (i wish it was actually rendered closer to the quality of cd games from the 2000s that it seemed to be referencing but like, it looks how it looks and thats how it is), i rly disliked the script for the mpst part in the first 2 eps but ive loved kingler from day 1 so having an ep with mostly just him and pomni (i have mixed feelings on her too but w/e) was great great great and we had some lore n stuff but rly like i could smell a fellow traumatized man whos a bit wacky to cope from miles away and im glad to be proven Right

sorry im older man fucker so he rly hits all the boxes bc hes actually so sweet and helpful hes just mentally unstable (love him for that) and a lot of his endearing like caring nature comes thru in the physical aspect of the character and with less dialogue, rly the less dialogue the show has the better, idk who does the scripts and i dont wanna diss them but like oof i fucking hate it shkdh like its not like its never funny but its just, off, ive still not been able to properly explain to my wife the way that its off to me, and it bothers me to not be able to cohere those emotions! anyway

kingler so cute so very handsome and uwu so gentle and kind 💖💖💖 i love how gentle he is and good to pomni (ofc ppl are gonna call it fatherly or god forbid grandfatherly when hes like 40, and now if you ship them ppl will say its incesty when theyre two grown adults but w/e) like idk i just love a kind mentally unwell man!!! im simple!!! him just overexposing at the near end in dialogue was rly awkward in the writing like man they just, the dialogue is so not good. but in theory his character is so good and the thing abt the darkness and such was sweet. like hes just always been so endearing and the ep just gives a lot of free real estate kingler screentime to drink with my eyeballs, it doesnt change my opinion on the character at all bc ive always loved him this much

the rest was ok just the typical fare for the most part, like tadc rly often makes me so dissatisfied bc it has so So much potential but the ways it kinda just ends up like a dumbed down typical cartoon is really meh. i do love caine though and more proof that hes a non malicious (although maybe harmfully ignorant) ai. his gags almost land for me if they werent really Really lampshaded, i love how much he cares but is incapable (yet) of improving, i thought it was sweet zooble was so earnest with him. like, the whole tadc def improves the less mean spirited it is, for me. which is hard bc the most favoured character is rancid mean disney purple guy.

gghh why is this show so agdidhsifirh (gestures of anger) like its like, much worse ENA or smth but i know theres more that bothers me abt it than that, and i cant grasp it. im stil in hell irl so i cant cohere a lot in general so w/e, i need to chill and let go. i did like the horror trophy head designs of everyone that i could see (i wanted to get a better look at kinglers but i couldnt find a good frame from watching on my phone) like they were super over the top and fun. i wish the settings they travelled to still felt like, even remotely circusy? they truly feel like just we’re in a different cartoon. but its ok i only hate 749374947493 things abt the shows style choices

okay so now that ive finished season 1 of farscape, i have some ~thoughts~

-character development is great. d'argo going from an ornery loner to being genuinely happy to see crichton & striving to save aeryn's life, aeryn coming face-to-face with crais after months of being deemed "contaminated" & exiled and realizing the home she lost ISNT worth her pining over wanting to go back. great stuff so far.

-speaking of crais he kinda frustrates me bc when he & crichton were "kidnapped" by that sorcerer early in the season, i feel like he was so close to believe crichton (aka the truth) about what happened with his brother re it being a tragic accident, but then the sorcerer guy messed with them & ruined the moment. idk if he ever comes around but it feels like a possibility? but maybe NOT after what aeryn did to him w the aurora chair...... okay i wrote that when i was still on s1e21 and now crais is kinda on our side but not really but also not a peacekeeper anymore and i just HEAVILY dislike that talyn chose him over aeryn, boooooo~

-it would have been SO easy to make critchton into a himbo, but he's so genuine & kind & smart & yeah a lil dumb when it comes to alien customs n stuff but he has a strong moral compass, which makes it hurt even all the after his torture.......

-dont have a solid favorite character, i feel like i love them all equally (including best boi pilot), except for chiana (who i dont dislike, just not familiar with her yet) just bc shes so new & rygel bc he has his moments but sometimes he really grinds my gears lol. i've been spoiled that there's a big death in s2 but idk who that is but if it's d'argo/pilot/moya i will be devastated

-i already got the mass effect vibes from the very start, but by now its also giving me the same feeling buffy did with the different scenarios each episode with callbacks to previous events and throughlines/story arcs & a good helping of goofiness (but with less cringey whedonesque dialogue; sorry i love buffy, watched it multiple times all the way thru, but you cant deny the dialogue has a very specific vibe). theres just something v comfy about watching the show, even though this is my first time

-some really cool episode concepts, my fave so far being the one where moya is stuck in starburst and there are 4 different overlaid versions of the ship (red/blue/yellow/og) with different sensory overstimulation/disasters. v v cool. plus just the idea of a LIVING, PREGNANT ship is wild

♡ you likely met him at the battle tree in alola to test your teams mettle, and regardless of how the outcome turned out, he was very intrigued by how you fought and talked to you a little after it.

♡ blue definitely knows fairy types exist, but he's like, never used a fairy type in his life whatsoever. he barely knows much about them.

♡ this is why when you battled him he probably had no clue what to do for type matchups and whatnot. Woops. ok maybe "no clue" is a little rough, he's definitely at least encountered a few fairy types, but he is very. Not knowledgeable about them regardless.

♡ once he learns their weaknesses and strengths ( courtesy of you, probably ), he finds it really interesting and also funny. tiny little fairy pokemon are supereffective against dragon???? and fighting?? and dark????? and only has two types its weak to????? damn. maybe he should think about training a fairy type, but none of them really fit his vibe. ...although, alolan ninetails looks nice, even if he always does prefer arcanine. unfortunately, there is no fairy-type arcanine, and he'd never replace his own anyways.

♡ he might also get an alolan sandslash as a counter to fairy types LMAO ( he also has owned a sandslash before, but doesn't use it as often anymore... so it's a nice reminder. )

♡ he respects your commitment to the type regardless. not his cup of tea - the type, and committing to one type like gym leaders, some trainers, and sometimes champions do - but it's really interesting to see how you fight with your team.

♡ and the sylveon too... he's never seen one'a those. heard of it, but never seen one. he's fond of the eeveelutions, and is also similarly fond of your sylveon. gives it little pets and scritches sometimes if he's walking past it. yours is a real competent fighter and also an eeveelution, so he likes it by default. plus apparently, sylveon only evolves when given proper affection, which is proof of you two's bond.

♡ when you two properly become a thing - likely from him constantly asking you to talk and hang out with him and him covering up wanting to hang out as "getting advice" from you for fairy types - he starts to learn a lot more about fairy types, since he sorta has to, being your boyfriend and all - he can't let you down with his knowledge. he's also been training some pokemon to counter your fairy types when you two battle, even though only really one of his own pokemon on his main team is susceptible to fairy types. he also did probably get that alolan ninetails, courtesy of you breeding one for him or him just finding one on his own.

♡ fairy types are very affectionate and he gets used to this very quickly - if any of your 'mons are out when he comes to your place, they'll usually rush to see him and nuzzle him. it's very cute and funny to you.

♡ you two's pokemon also lightheartedly play with each other a little, and the clashing aesthetics are really funny. his machamp playing with a slurpuff or something like that is very very funny to watch.

♡ despite the pretty opposite vibes you two ( probably ) have, you get along fairly well. even though blue is blue, so he's obviously gunna tease you and irritate you on purpose sometimes. you seem to respond well to it, though.

♡ regardless of how he acts though, he wouldn't trade you for the world, and it's very clear. he's very happy with you :D

♡ rosa is also a fairy type specialist in part! not like, entirely i'd think. so ig she's not a specialist, but yknow! she's the champion of unova in current day ( along with being a famous actor and celebrity of sorts and whatnot, similar to diantha a little ), and champions usually don't have 100% consistent teams, but do usually have one or more focused types, and fairy is one of hers, along with psychic and normal. and also grass if you really wanna stretch that having two grass types means its a more focused type in her team, which technically, but not as much as the other 3.

♡ for reference, the two teams ive made for her are serperior, meloetta, flaaffy/ampharos, audino, musharna, and weavile.

while the second team is alcremie, diancie, sylveon, shiny braixen/delphox, indeedee, and a shiny lilligant. which there are at least 3 fairy types in there and also 3 normal or psychic types. she travels the world a lot which is why she has pokemon from diff regions, for the record

♡ anyways into the actual headcanons i just wanted to get ppl to know my Current Day rosa hcs and ideas a little more for some better grasp on her

♡ since rosa herself has a sylveon, she finds you having one very endearing and cute! maybe the two of you met because she was walking with hers and yours sensed another sylveon and rushed to meet hers?

♡ regardless, she's very endeared to all of your fairy types - she's never seen every fairy type, since they aren't very common in unova at all, only 3 unovan pokemon having the type and one of those only being a mega pokemon, and the other being two pokemon from the same evolutionary line ... along with the fact that the whimsicott line used to just be acknowledged as a grass type before fairy type was a new discovery.

♡ but she's fallen in love with the fairy types she's seen in kalos when she went there for a vacation and even caught a couple! she thinks they're extremely cute and fun, and also POWERHOUSES. which is something she loves - cute or elegant pokemon that can wreck shop, especially cuz' people underestimate them.

♡ happy to give any and all of your fairy types attention and pets. if you'd like, you can certainly ramble to her about all of them and she'll be happy to listen - she always loves listening about how people's pokemon act and how they caught them... things like that. she'll also get easily excited and impressed by any fairy types you show her that she's never seen!

♡ she'll be happy to have casual battles with you and your fairy types sometimes - there's no big seriousness to it though, mostly just having fun. if it were an official champion battle she'd probably be trying her hardest to kick your ass, but since it's just for fun she doesn't care about bringing her 100% A game to it.

♡ regardless of who wins, the two of you are just laughing and heading back to a pokemon center, and afterwards all of your team get some much-needed treats and pets after the battle.

♡ you two do end up hanging out casually and for fun a lot like this, and after a particularly nice hang out at the ferris wheel in nimbasa city, one of you two confesses and then start dating, i'd like to think. all because you two's sylveons met on a fateful day...

So I am learning Korean as well, I am able to read and write...I understand the Hangul chart fully I mean and I have studied most of the grammar as well...and I am a bit confused on how I should move forward...Do you have any Ideas? Since you are a b1 in Korean...hehe

first i wanna say my b1 level is self-assessed. i mean, i feel pretty confident about this assesment, but i havent taken an official test or the topik yet.

i feel like moving between levels is the hardest part tbh...i felt like i hit a wall when transitioning to intermediate..but what i found helped me the most was really figuring out where i was lacking and working on that. just doing random lessons isn't helpful and i think you really need to structure your learning in a way that's super personal to you.

-for me, i know listening and speaking are my hardest areas..so i put a lot of focus on listening by listening to podcasts and watching youtube videos about things i like (makeup, skincare, kpop content with my fav groups) and use active listening..i usually watch these videos more than once too, one time without eng subs and then with to gage my initial understanding. i also take note of new vocab or grammar points. make sure with content like this though that it's just above your level. listening to things where you don't understand literally anything is not helpful. you need to be able to get the jist of what is going on even if you don't understand every single word/grammar.

-i also do tutoring once a week (sometimes twice if i have the time. i use the website preply) and we focus on my speaking and comphrension. she gives me sentence building and dictation hw too. i also ask her for regular assessments and what she thinks i can improve on. i just joined my korean language club at school so that's another way ive been exposing myself to korean and working on my speaking. i alsoooo speak out loud..anything i'd think or say to myself in english, i try to say in korean. not only does it help me get comfortable forming sentences, but it's a good way to pinpoint vocab/grammar i may not know.

-i try to make time each week to write in a diary (i used to post on here but not as often recently lol) and i also read in korean on different news sources. im slowly working my way thru 죽고 싶지만 떡볶이는 먹고 싶어 as well.

i guess tdlr; assess via a tutor, teacher, or just yourself and figure out what areas you're lacking in and build a plan around that. if you feel like you've progressed outside of just relying on textbooks, find other ways to supplement your learning like tutoring, language club, youtube/netflix, etc. exposure/immersion is key.

sorry the bit abt souls in kagepro drives me crazy. we dont know it with any other snakes other than awakening/konoha and haruka(and saeru but we dont talk abt it). the ending of mca is MESSY messy. personally i dont know if i Really understand it, I've always explained it to myself like konoha/awakening GETS ITS OWN wish bc despite being just a snake, it became its own person, and its wish is to have hiyori live which is how saeru "dies" bc it has to resign to be a surrogate life for hiyori right?? its never explained Why konoha gets a wish but that's it to me. awakening and retaining being opposites bc one is a snake that became a person and the other a person who became a snake.

anyways coming back to the soul thing, it's rly all in haruka and konoha's situation bc konoha becomes its own person, "gains a soul" lets say, and that very soul puts it in conditions of making a wish. haruka was the only one in the daze who wasn't PHYSICALLY there, and his wish never finished getting there bc awakening was like My body now. <- like this is so interesting there's a lot of potential to konoha being even more interesting, maybe being a snake that's always wanted its own body or something. i KNOW its bc haruka's personality wasn't strong for it but that's an ass explanation and it always has been😘

anywyas so haruka coming back by the end to me is explained thru his wish being Actually listened to and konoha retreating back to its original role though it is still a person. i think it becomes a case of reverse, from str onwards it is konoha watching through haruka instead of the other way around. this is kinda the logic behind why ive always loved the konoha reborn hc... with the whole soul thing. like konoha finally cutting ties with being a snake and not being awakening anymore, just konoha!!

i felt like trash today at work omg

before it even started, i was so congested and my throat was annoying the fuck out of me honestly. i want to like rip it out lol or my lungs. it keeps getting blocked and then itll like severely start to tickle/sting me and i feel like im having like a panic attack thru coughing. that happened and then out of nowhere i just threw up:| i wanted to skip work today but it was last minute and my manager didnt reply in time so i just went and i felt better later but i still felt gross lol. i had like one big attack in the back of my throat and my eyes just started tearinggg and omg this guy was literally hitting on me while i look like shit like whattt. i felt so ugly why is he interested in me lol. i just have to make it thru this week T.T the only good thing to come out of this is that ive been drinking soo much water! i also met a new coworker briefly who i’ll prob work with, maybe, idk. anyways, completely random, yesterday my mom just apologized to me saying she knows theres been times where she hasnt been the perfect parent and that she was sorry for all the hurtful things she has said to me before and stuff. i did not know what to sayyy i literally was like very neutral and was like oh okay and didnt look at her and i dont think she looked at me either. we were just both doing stuff in the kitchen. but like.. she just apologized. out of nowhere. the amount of emotional trauma and verbal abuse ive gone thruuu with her. its like way too much to even remember half of it. i feel like her apology was genuine tho. im also still hoping and wishing for good news in regards to my last journal post..<3please bc things cant get any worse. so yeah, thats it for that topic. the hunger games series is leaving netflix in 2 days so my friend motivated me to finally watch them and i have one more movie left. my list for movies/shows to watch is sooo longg, i really need to watch more. oh yeah and lastly, me and my ig mutual have been talking more recently, trying to plan out a day to finally hang out! "Everyone watch out! Smoke show coming through." You shout from your perch on a railing as Principal Weems starts up a light of stairs nearby. You had been sitting around chatting with your friends about the eminent Poe Cup. She glances up at you with a roll of her eyes as usual.

You had started your time as a bit of a troublemaker at Nevermore, spending many days in Headmistress Weems office. Slowly you built a relationship with one another based on mutual understanding, allowing you to manifest a relationship where you were allowed to tease Principal Weems. You really did love her, but not anything more as a trusted confidant.

"Watch it, Mr. L/n." She shot back, causing you to offer her a bright smile of innocence.

"Of course, Larissa." You offer with a fake look of seriousness with a stern nod.

"I'll give you three seconds. Go to class." You knew your luck had run out for the moment. You tugged your friends sleeve as you jogged off to homeroom.

You had been working on homework during your lunch period when your friend elbowed you, signaling that Weems had entered the cafeteria.

You toss up a hand waving at her, "Good afternoon, Principal Weems!"

She couldn't hide her smile as she saw you waving, offering a small wave in return. Larissa was there to have a discussion with the lunch supervisor, but she took a detour to visit your table.

"How are you doing this afternoon, y/n?" She offered with a polite smile, always trying to keep it professional with you. Truly you were her favorite student at Nevermore. While you had a pension for troublemaking, she always enjoyed your sense of humor. Plus whenever you complimented her, she never had the feeling that you were actually making fun of her.

"Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are, Principal?" You ask, narrowing your eyebrows and leaning your chin into your palm, trying to look very intentional about your question.

"Yes. You. Yesterday." Larissa retorted, with a deep breath, obviously hiding a smile.

"Sorry, Principal Weems. I just like to remind you." You nod vigorously, causing Larissa to shake her head with (fake) annoyance. Your tablemates couldn't hide their smiles at your words.

"Glad to see your sense of humor hasn't changed, Mr. L/n." Larissa turned around to return to her initial task.

You call back after her, "No humor here, Principal Weems. Just a love for the finer things in this world."

"I heard you are performing at the talent show this semester, Mr. L/n." Larissa stated as you sat in the armchair in front of her desk. You had simply come in to chat and catch up, enjoying Principal Weems quick wit. You had pulled the armchair up close so you could fiddle with the jar on her desk that contained a shrunken head. Weems was too focused on her computer to scold you.

"I am. Actually, I'm dedicating my song to you." She glanced up from her computer with a deep breath and a shake of her head.

"I can't wait to see." Larissa smiled, knowing that this would be extremely funny, but also potentially embarrassing if you made a scene.

"No worries. I'll keep it classy for my favorite girl." You nod with a big smile across your face, earning you a one way ticket out of Principal Weems office.

You looked out across the audience as you finished your performance, looking for Principal Weems. Once you spotted her, she had one hand covering her eyes and she was shaking her head. Even from on the stage you could see the fraction of a smile that graced her lips, shoulders shaking as she was laughing.

You had prefaced your performance with saying that you were performing this song for the love of your life. Then you and your closest friends performed Breakin' My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes) by Mint Condition.

Principal Weems met you backstage afterwards, her hands clasped in front of her. Her face was quite serious, "First off, Mr. L/n, my eyes are blue. Secondly, while I find your antics to be quite amusing, you simply cannot keep joking about being in love with me."

"Why, Larissa, who ever said I was joking?" You stood directly in front of her, allowing her to tower over you. At this point she couldn't hide her smile, she wished she hadn't found you to be such a charming kid.

"Watch it."

honestly, a number of characters in danganronpa Grind My Gears, but. i was watching someone stream v3 earlier and my god. i nearly forgot how much i Despise tsumugi. like i'm sorry to anyone who likes her but. ever since i first finished v3 she just makes me feel Primal Anger. i applaud shuichi and the other survivors for restraining themselves bc idk if i would've been able to last in that courtroom before just jumping over the podium and slugging her.

it's just. she has Zero Personality for 80% of the game, because she is so boring that she has to steal other characters' personalities via cosplay. and then in the last chapter she's just so taunting and vicious, going from 0 to 100 in the worst way possible. ugh.

i am so sorry for ranting in your inbox again, i promise i'll send you more light-hearted stuff skskfjs

tsumugi is so GODDAMN annoying i like keeping her around in sleep awake to make silly little jojo references and that is IT. shes probably the character who appears the least in my fic and its because for most of the other characters i can think of some layer of emotional depth i can give them to relate to the reader, or at least have an emotional connective moment. like. but tsumugi is just so much nothing.

i really like the CONCEPT of tsumugi, and i see what they were TRYING to do it just. really feels like it missed the mark a lot. i know u know my thoughts on v3's ending as a whole but ive never rly touched on tsumugi's involvement with it because the truth is there is just not much thought i can put into her. like im gonna have to read a lot of meta from tsumugi fans or people who have actually dedicated time to analysing her (stronger than the marines btw) to prepare myself for the sixth chapter of the fic because holy shit i truly have nO IDEA what im doing with her right now.
