Art Comparison: MERMAID OC 2021 vs 2024

((this may be different from the content I usually post, but I just wanted to show my progress as a digital artist of 4 years))

((and yes, the 2021 ver. is based of off Milotic))

I intended at first to follow the design from the 2021 version, but I also wanted to stray away from it because I challenged myself to draw a more realistic looking tail? Similar of a fish. The colors changed because this was prompt given to me, requiring me to make use of light colors; now it looks like the 2024 ver. is from Barbie the Pearl Princess, lol I love it.

I never really revealed my first mermaid OC even when I first drew the 2021 ver., but I'm happy to show it now!!
