Running up, Perona has the completely meaningless bag of treats in one hand, and one o them embroidery looms in the other. About bouncing on her heels, she offers them to Serosh and Godfrey, respectively, beaming with pride and delight.

The embroidery is... Well, it's meant to be of both Godfrey and Morgott, her in the middle as if to scale. All three figures are abysmally done, signaling her being unversed but dedicated to the art.

"Se...rosh!" She happily chirps, offering the open bag to Serosh properly.

Whew! He managed to get all of his Santa gear off before Perona came running. He had a feeling he needed to make a quick change once he heard Perona giggling and jumping around in her chambers.

"What thou hath there, Lass? A gift for me? Thou'rt too kind l-" He paused for a brief moment as he saw the tall figure next to him in the embroidery. Was that... Morgott? Has she met Morgott??

He snapped back to attention when he Serosh mewled sharply as he munched down on some treats Perona hand fed him. Maybe it was Margit she made and was thinking off? Either way, Morgott isn't one to just approach a stranger, let alone a child. How she knows of him perplexes him.

"I thank thee, Lass." He gives her a gentle pat on the back. Either way, it's a cute little embroidery that he'll probably hang on the wall of his chambers.

Ayo!!! It's been a while since I've drawn utau (utmv?) stuff in a fully rendered style, so.... when I saw @itsxroxannex had a dtiys I had to shoot my shot!

Actually, I don't think I've ever done a dtyis before 👀 so this was really fun.

I... actually don't think I've ever drawn Passive!NM either tbh. This entire drawing was kinda like a personal challenge to myself, since I often lack w/ backgrounds too.

I did kinda a study on the originals background, because I tend to just draw characters w/o a solid background, and when I do add a background characters usually blend into it a lil too well to discern figures, so the color choices and soft loose lines compared to the hard lines + cell shading felt really nice.

I also decided to go back to Procreate for this one too! Normally I draw w/ Medibang these days, but I learned to draw utau stuff on Procreate and so drawing them elsewhere feels wrong.

And, of course, the last note I'll add in the actual post: my sketch process is trash lmao. Literally I just wing the shapes of clothes and junk based on the vibes and resize as needed. I love looking at the og sketch tho cuz it's so... bald. No under-form, no indicator of limbs, nothing.

I was legitimately just pruning my bookmarks the other day!! thank you so much for asking.

I don't read too much fanfic these days, and I'm picky when I do--only about grammar/punctuation and immersion though. I ship a LOT of stuff (I guess The Youth would call me a proshipper) and although I never read darkfic, I don't shy away from weirder kinks and unhealthy relationship stuff.

categorizing by pairing, if applicable. some of them are smutty, and please note that the first 3 come from FFN which doesn't have a tagging system, but there is some SA CW I'll give in advance.

KAKASAKU | my first OTP! formative fics that totally reshaped my understanding of what fanfiction could be, and how well-written chemistry can make it or break it

HOUSE OF CROWS is the quintessential kakasaku fanfic. it was written during shippuden and so is canon divergent because of that, but also tells a comprehensive story of its own right that is intriguing and well planned. excellent characterization and world building. leaves me gutted in the best way on my yearly reread.

DUTY BEFORE HONOR is another silvershine classic. I don't reread is as often as House of Crows but they are just about equal in quality. again, the chemistry between them is off the charts, and the world feels so alive.

WILL OF FIRE for me is up there with House of Crows in being essential kakasaku reading. cynchick is a multisaku champion and a wonderful storyteller. the stakes in this one are stressful, the romance tense and believable, and we once again get lovely world building and great chemistry.

ITAKISA | a pairing near and dear to me, because men who do everything wrong are so deeply relatable. they both know they don't deserve anything good ever again but they found each other!!!! ARE YOU GUYS SEEING THIS--

A SHARK HIDDEN INN THE LEAVES doesn't have my favorite version of Kisame, but he's plenty close enough. it's a lengthy oneshot that got me into certain *ahem* kinks. it is a very fun and wild fic that is entirely self-aware of how absurd it's being, and manages to have nothing but sincerity at the same time (and I highly recommend the author's other stories as well)

AN ORCHESTRA PLAYING ON, INSANE is a modern AU (extremely rare in my bookmarks) that absolutely tore my heart out. god is it SO much to ask for these losers to be happy?! yes, it is, and I love every moment of it

MADAMITO | a rarepair I am SUCH a sucker for that has some of the most talented authors writing for it. lots of them have ot3 elements between them and hashirama, often angsty, but stuff like that is part of the appeal for me, lol

A HANDFUL OF SKY is an unfinished fic that I genuinely think about like once a week. if it ever updates then I will be over the moon. technically hashimadamito but it hadn't quite gotten there yet

LIKE ALTARS is just such a beautiful piece of writing, mostly on madara. it is everything, that is all

BLOOD AND RIVER WATER is more mito-centric but has one of my favorite madaras of all time

YOURS ARE RATTLED BONES is another short, mito-centric but gut-wrenching piece featuring the opposite type of madara from the last one

OTHER | character-centric stuff that isn't necessarily shippy but also doesn't have a very "gen" vibe either?

A SERPENT IN THE RICE is a little series about orochimaru that makes me feel so so so many things. highly recommended

HERETIC is such a love letter to kushina, and kurama too. cannot stress enough how much I adore this one

there's a few others that I probably won't link on tumblr, mostly unhealthy and/or "problematic" smut hhfhdj but maybe I'll make a public rec list on ao3 for these different categories and stuff like that.

but yeah that's pretty much it!!! I know it's not a huge list with a lot of variety but it's what I've enjoyed over the last 15+ years in the naruto fandom.

okay i gotta go to bed ( <- not remotely tired ) but i love jeremy as not a member of the bully group from fn.af4. i mean, like, obviously i guess since i don't write him as having been one of them. but like. when it comes to his relationship with michael, it's so important to me that he didn't even live in hurricane when it happened. like, yeah he eventually finds out about what happened because how could he not, but he wasn't present during the shitfest that happened afterward. he meets michael as just michael instead of. well. the way most of the town views him.

but also like idk. my portrayal of jeremy just isn't capable of any of that, even as a teen. but that's important too because like. idk. jeremy is human and he isn't perfect, but he's much more open and. . . softer almost anyone michael is used to having in his life. they're good for each other i what i mean, i think.

Yo, hc brain is back in full swing. Towards the end of a wrecking with Dream, (we'll make his ler Karl for this one) he's given a small break to breathe, his wrists pinned to either side of his head. "We're gonna do one more thing and then we'll stop ok? Now, tell me to tickle your tummy~" the idea of the ler making the lee tell them to tickle their death spot and halfway through making them say "keep going" and only stopping when they know the limit is reached

and this is SUCH a karl thing to do as well, he would love embarrassing his lee by doing stuff that he Knows will get to them- whether it be forcing them to make eye contact (cough cough george) or telling them to keep their arms up (cough cough sapnap) or telling them not to laugh (cough cough quackity) – but especially with dream, because dream blushes and gets embarrassed and stuttery and giggly so quickly, doesn't he? poor baby :(

so when karl holds his arms down on either side of his head, rubbing his thumbs along his wrists while he takes in huge gulps of air from the tickling karl's already dished out to him, he thinks maybe he can handle whatever else karl has planned, they're probably nearing the end anyway.

but then karl leans down and presses a tiny kiss to his palm, making dream giggle softly before turning his head to dreams ear and saying exactly what you mentioned, "Okay, we've got one last spot to get to and I know you're gonna like it. I'm gonna tickle your tummy, which is your favorite spot, right? isn't it, angel?" and dream would giggle, laughter bright and bubbly, his entire face tinted pink and his eyes squeezed shut when he nods in response to karl's question.

and karl would smile and go, "good! good... you're gonna ask me to tickle you there, tho :)" and dream would whine through his giggles, his face flushing even more red at the thought of having to ask karl to tickle his tummy knowing full well he loves it. and when he cracks open his eyes to see karl staring down at him, face barely a foot away from his and enough adoration in his eyes to make him feel light headed, he whines even louder, closing his eyes again and tilting his head back to shake his head while karl giggles. and karl eggs him on, softly going, "come on, handsome, we both know you want it. there's no need to be embarrassed, it's just us, dreamie, that's it."

n dream would still be all flustered and whimpery, but after a few seconds of waiting silence he'd mumble, just loud enough for karl to hear, "could you please... ti-tickle my tummy? please?" and karl's face becomes even more adoring, thinking about how he even threw the 'please' in there, and he would almost immediately say, "of course, sweet boy, since you asked so nicely" and he'd kiss dreams palm again, before pulling his hands off dreams wrists and moving down, pushing his hoodie up just slightly and pressing the softest kiss to his tummy just to make him giggle. and giggle he does, while karl sits back up straight so he can watch him laugh and starts scratching his nails all over dreams tummy

and dream immediately bursts into bright laughter, his eyes closing and head tilting back again as he laughs freely and happily. his hands curl into fists and he shakes them around happily, eventually moving from where they were once pinned. one hand goes to cover his mouth (but not fully, his fingers are open and it's loosely pressed, and he's not muffling his laughter so karl let's it slide) and the other goes down to squeeze at karl's leg where he's straddling him

and soon after, karl goes "you like this?" and dream nods, a little "hehe- yeheheah" coming out, and karl goes "Okay. ask me to keep going, then" and dream laughs a little louder, nose scrunching up at the idea, but he's outwardly having too much fun to disagree, so he goes "okahahay keheheep goihing! keep gohohoing– ohokahay?" and karl giggles and nods, unable to hide his happiness either, and goes "I won't stop til you say so, okay?" and leans down and blows a raspberry right on dreams tumny

which earns him a slightly harder than needed palm to the back of his head, not pushing or pulling, just staying and scratching at his hair in a way that (ironically enough) is more comforting and calming to him than it should be, and another hand gripping the fabric of the shoulder of his hoodie, both hands obviously trying not to push him away as dream laughs his heart out. his legs are kicking and curling the best they can under karl, his eyes are squeezed shut and tearing up, his giggles are high pitched and turning raspy and squeaky, but he still doesn't stop karl for another solid few minutes.

and then he forcefully pulls karl down on top of him and makes him be his blanket, heavy breathing and residual giggling be damned, and neither of them would have it any other way :)

Seventh Virtue (2023)

Some of this was taken from an early 2021 exploration for Feeding Habits that never made the cut.

At first, he’d tried to resist it, the way his hands seemed to unconsciously flick out Lonan’s jaw in charcoal, blot his eyes in ultramarine. Lonan was his raven with the Pacific in his eyes, his muscle memory. By the end of it, Harrison’s fingers were stained irreparably with a body, and on Reeve’s seventh day away, he found himself nearly finished the sketchbook, every single page grafted with Lonan’s unsuspecting, two-dimensional face. Harrison tore each one out, threw them into the solitary air of their room and left them all there on the floor.

Moth Work (2020)

The flame tints his jaw gold, glares in his eyes so they look like blue fire. The night halos around Lonan, burnishes the cove walls, turns the sand into a mirage. As Lonan nurses the fire, Harrison traces his face, the violet impasto around his eye. Lonan has always looked like a masterpiece to him, damp black hair that almost looks navy blue, a smile so subtle, it’s almost acquired.

Moth Work (2019)

Lonan turned as he caught him staring and hid under his sheath of hair, and he was Harrison’s David, statuesque, carved in soapstone, polished, ready for a museum.

Feeding Habits (2020)

Final line was written in 2022!

Lonan’s blips of humanness are disturbing for the reason that yes, he’s a better person now, but yes, Harrison is a worse person because of it. So he wishes to be yelled at. To be left unspared. But instead, Lonan sits there, silent. In the snow’s glow, he is sunbeamed, could be holy, some soapstone cherub iconized, a luminist painting. Cael could never be this man before him, this divine being Harrison loves.

hongjoong! is confused. he didn’t remember putting any product on his lips. so why did you wipe his kiss away? frowns and leans over kissing your cheek again. you smiled before wiping it off. “y/nie.” he cried out kissing your cheek again. only for you to wipe it off. “stop wiping my love away.” you giggled and hugged the boy. “i’m sorry.” you cooed before kissing him properly.

seonghwa! is baffled. you’ve never done this before, even when you were upset with him. he decided to see if it was just a mistake. so he placed a kiss to your cheek. you smiled then wiped it off. seonghwa was sick. his eyes wide mouth a gape. “babe?” he asked. you couldn’t hold in your giggles at his face. you kissed his cheek. “i’m sorry baby! it was a joke.” he groaned. “a cruel one.” he grumbled.

yunho! frowns. “baby.” he said before kissing your cheek again. “yeah?” you asked while wiping it off. his eyebrows furrowed. “stop it.” he whined kissing you again. “stop what?” you wiped his kiss away again. “are you trying to break my heart?” he cried out giving you puppy dog eyes. you instantly caved before giving him all the kisses he wanted.

yeosang! scoffs. if you didn’t want his kisses then he simply wouldn’t give them to you. after you wiped his kiss off he refused to kiss you for the rest of the day. successfully ruining your prank. “yeosang.” you pouted before kissing his cheek. “so now you want my kisses?” he smirked. you nodded. “too bad.” he patted your head before taking off with you chasing after him.

san! throws a tantrum. how dare you? he’s pretty sure his heart broke when you wiped away his kiss. “baby.” he said before kissing your cheeks then your lips. you giggled then wiped them away. san stomped his foot and crossed his arms. “do you not love me anymore?” he asked. you couldn’t help the giggles. san sighed. “stop the pranks before i die.” he groaned. you kissed him. “so dramatic.”

mingi! immediately goes in for another kiss, that you of course wipe away. the boy is quite literally heart broken. he loves kissing you and you just wiped it away. “stop it.” he whined grabbing your face and kissing your lips. before you could wipe it away his hands hold yours and he leaves kisses all over you. “okay okay, stop.” you laughed. “it was a prank.” his eyes furrowed. “you’re so mean to me.” he whined.

wooyoung! throws a tantrum part two. screams about how much you don’t love him. all you did was wipe away the kiss he gave you before he was supposed to leave for practice. “i can’t believe you don’t love me anymore.” he cries falling to the floor. you laugh before kissing him. “it was just a prank now go before you’re late.” he laughed kissing you before leaving.

jongho! blinks in confusion. why did you just wipe away his kiss? you’ve never done this before. tries to figure out if he’s upset you. he decided to test the waters and kiss you again. when you wiped it away he gasped. “why?” he whined. you smiled rarely did you see jongho this way. you couldn’t hold in your laughter. his eyebrows furrowed when he realized it was one of your pranks. he scoffed and playfully shoved you but accepted the kisses you left on him.
