CHAPTER WARNINGS - Angst and alcohol
The most anticipated chapter has arrived! I am going to be honest with you and tell you right now that this is my favorite chapter so far, that may change in the future, but still. I recommend looking at the reference pictures for ideas of the layout and vibes of the house, and for the team and their spouses. Let me know what you think! <3 Moonie

Hongjoong took quick steps to come stand in front of you, almost pushing you back from being too close to the ledge. Once he had herded you away from he clifface by a few steps he seemed to backtrack as he started rambling. “I understand it is a huge question, but I couldn't hold it in any longer. Seeing you with the boys at your house has solidified how well you fit into our dynamic.” his hands twitched at his sides like he was trying to keep himself from reaching out to you. His posture had straightened just slightly as he continued, “We would love to have the chance to date you. I know it is unconventional but we are unconventional people, and I get the feeling that you are too. If you do decide that you would like to accept our offer we will take it at your pace. I have made that very clear to everyone.”
“Why me?” Your head hadn’t risen from looking at the ground. Your heartbeat was echoing throughout your body, your breathing was starting to stutter as you tried to hold back your tears. Your insecurities were slowly turning into frustration, frustration at yourself and frustration at the people who made you this way.
Shouldn’t you be happy that one of the most sought after men was asking you to join him and his boyfriends?
Shouldn’t you be jumping at the opportunity?
All you could think about was the flaws you saw in yourself; comparing yourself to everyone else. “Why would you pick someone like me who has so many years of emotional baggage that are buried so deep that it would take years upon years of healing and acceptance to get past it. You would be so much better off without me and the baggage I carry, someone who can freely show their emotions and not box them away to try to forget about them because of their past.” You looked up at him freely letting the tears fall. His face fell as he looked at you, he took one step forward and you took one back.
“Why would you choose the outcast of every friend group, the black sheep of their family, the one who never fits in with anyone no matter where I am. I am just a plain person–” You motioned to yourself with both hands, “–and you all are well, you; famous and absolutely beloved you– You would be better with someone who would fit into your lifestyle.” you moved your hands to gesture at him. He was frozen, his mouth just barely parted as if he wanted to say something but you were quicker.
“Why would you want to be with someone who is so inexperienced in a relationship that I didn't even know Seonghwa called me darling a few days ago? You would be better with someone with more experience than an almost 27 year old who hasn't had an actual relationship ever.” You ran a shaky hand through your hair, taking another step back from him and lowering your head again.
“Why would you choose me and not some other beautiful idol, one that doesn't have stretch marks and scars all over her body. Someone that is confident in their own skin.” You started pulling at your clothes, you unzipped the leather jacket that began to feel suffocating. The shirt you were once very comfortable in now felt like it was shrinking. You ran your hands through your hair tugging at the roots as you sank to your knees on the rocks. You felt the twinge of pain in your left knee where the rocks were digging into the skin where the nerves were fucked up. You didn't care.
You looked up to Hongjoong and watched as the tears started falling down his face. “Why would you choose someone who scares people away, someone who is and always has been the disappointment. You would be so much better off with someone who isn't covered in tattoos and looked down upon because of them.” You looked back down to the ground and your arms wrapped around your middle. Your breath became more erratic, your lungs holding hands with your heart as they leapt around in your chest. You couldn't feel anything but the roiling thoughts in your head. Everything was numb.
“There are so many better people out in the world that would be over the moon at this opportunity so why are you wasting it on me? The one who always loves too much and then they fall out of–”
“—Because we fucking love you,” his voice cracked. “Stop talking about yourself like that. Just stop and fucking listen to what I have to say.” Your head whipped up to look at him from the rocks that were interesting just a moment ago; he hardly ever cussed or raised his voice. You felt your bottom lip tremble and your heartbeat was crescendoing in your ears. You could barely keep eye contact through the tears that were spilling like raindrops down your face from the storm in your head. How could this be real? This had to be some fucked up dream. You wrapped your arms tighter around yourself as you looked down. You couldn't stand to look at the man that was looking at you with so much love when you had barely any for yourself.
Would they actually stay?
Would you fuck up their dynamic coming into the relationship that has been going on for years?
Would they fall out of love with you?
Hongjoong interrupted your spiraling thoughts by stepping forward, kneeling in front of you, and grabbing your chin forcing you to look up at him. It wasn’t forceful like every other time someone did this to you, it was gentle, almost like you were porcelain and he was trying not to break you. The way he held you didn’t even make you flinch like it would have any other time. You hadn't even realized the tears had started falling quicker until he wiped them gently with his other hand. “Let's get one thing straight. You ARE NOT a waste.” He paused, taking a deep breath like he was trying to collect his thoughts and not lash out at you for letting your mind destroy you. You could see the fire burning in his dark eyes. Taking a stuttering breath you attempted to calm yourself.
“You are one of the most extraordinary people I have met, people in the past may have told you different but they are dead fucking wrong. You might have been burned in the past, but I assure you that we are absolutely serious about this. You feel like the missing piece we never knew we needed. We are pursuing you. You are the person that we want to have with us from now on. You. Not anyone else. You. We want you through the light and the dark. We want you through everything. Do you understand me?”
“Yes,” you whispered. He moved his grip on your chin to cup your cheek. You felt the walls you had built around your heart begin to crumble. The storm in your head had started to dissipate, you could feel your body grounding itself with his touch. He was being so gentle, you leaned into it and closed your eyes. This was a feeling you could get used to.
“Good, now that we are on the same page, will you let us pursue you?” You met his eyes and saw the raw vulnerability. He was holding his heart out to you on a silver platter; you had the opportunity to take it and protect it or smash it to pieces.
“I have been noticing how all of you act with me and not the other members of my team. I took a deep dive into my feelings on the drive to that wretched hotel and discovered how I truly felt about all of you, and have continued to realize the extent of those feelings as the days have passed. That I love you too, but I am so fucking scared of being with all of you and then you leaving like everyone else has. That would absolutely destroy me.”
“We don't plan on leaving you, not in a million years.” He scooted closer to you, slow enough that if you wanted to you could move away. You didn’t.
“I am and always have been open to anything; but–” You paused, wringing your hands together. “Even with your affirmations of not leaving I am still absolutely terrified; every other time someone promised they would stay they didn’t.” Taking a shuttering deep breath you continued your rambling.
“I don't know If I am prepared for this–” You trailed off and fully took him in and watched as his expression shifted. The tears that were spilling down his face had ceased but you could see the dried tear tracks. A fresh set of tears started threatening to spill down your face at his expression. It was reserved but you could see the sadness lingering in his features. His beautiful dark eyes were dimmed, the shine they once held moved to the tears lingering in his eyes; they took it all.
He moved the hand that was cupping your face to take your hand. “Just one chance, that's all we are asking for. We just need one chance to show you how wrong they are, just one to show you how loved you are– Please– please let us show you the love you deserve.” He squeezed your hand tightly. Grounding himself and you into this moment.
You took a deep breath in and out looking down slightly, You let out a small sigh and for the first time in a long, long time listened to your heart over your mind. “I think–” The walls finally crumbled. You steeled yourself preparing to walk into the unknown with them. “I think I would like to join you.”
You raised your head back up and looked at him. You could see the relief flicker across his face, it morphed into a sweet smile as he let out a breath he must have been holding. He pulled you into a bone crushing hug. You let out a watery laugh and clung to him. You stayed there enjoying the comfort of each other for a few minutes. He pulled away gently and looked at you. He was smiling so wide at you. He glanced from your eyes down to your lips and back up again. “Can I kiss you?”
You nodded to him as he got up from his kneeling position and offered his hand to you. You gently took it and stood on wobbly legs. He stepped closer and moved his hands to rest on your hips, he rested his forehead against yours before capturing your lips in a kiss. Your eyes fluttered closed as you leaned into the kiss. His lips were plush against yours and tasted faintly of strawberries and salt from his tears earlier. You brought your hands around him to play with the hair at the nape of his neck. You smiled into the kiss as he sighed through his nose. He tightened his arms around your waist pulling you impossibly closer. Tilting his head he slightly deepened the kiss and you could feel how he poured all of his emotions into it. The love, the relief, the excitement. You both pulled away to breathe shortly after the kiss began. You opened your eyes to look at him and he was already watching you. He pulled you into another hug and rested his head in the juncture between your shoulder and neck.
“We won't let you down, I promise. You will be the most loved person in the world.” He murmured into the skin he was nuzzled against. You continued to play with his hair and he leaned further into you if that was even possible. The two of you had no space between your bodies, you could feel his slightly erratic heartbeat against your own. His breathing was caressing the side of your neck as he rested there. His arms were wrapped tightly around your back leaving no room for you to move. You could feel the heat creeping up to your face at the closeness. Your phone started buzzing in your jacket pocket, you pulled your head and one arm away from holding him and pulled it out.
“It's Aurora, she is probably wondering where we are.” You cleared your throat to make sure it didn't sound like you had just been harshly crying and then answered the phone. He pouted at you and you stuck your tongue out at him. He did the same to you before putting his head back into the juncture of your neck just resting there. You felt him squeeze you and you let out a small huff.
“Hey, what's up?” you combed your fingers through Hongjoong’s hair, he melted further into you again.
“Hey it has been almost an hour, are you guys on your way back?” You could barely hear her from all of the noise coming through the phone; they must be having a rager over there. Hongjoong huffed a laugh at how loud everything was in the background.
“Yeah, we were just sitting at the overlook talking, we are heading back now.” Hongjoong started moving his hands up and down your back, it was soothing.
“Okay, see you soon Boo, I love you, be safe.”
“I always am, I love you too, see you soon”
“We need to head back Joongie,” you said, sticking your phone back in your jacket pocket.
“I don't want to,” he whined, pulling away from you and crossing his arms. The leather creaked and you laughed at him. He is already trying to use aegyo on you, if he got any cuter you might have to squish his cheeks.
“Come on Joongie, I have seven other boyfriends waiting to see me.” You could only imagine the chaos that was going to unfold when you got back.
“Say it again.” His eyes were on you and it made you just a little nervous the way he was staring into your soul.
“I have seven other boyfriends waiting to see me.” You watched the smile on his face grow. He was almost jittery with what you could only assume was excitement and a little bit of adrenaline.
“I cannot tell you how happy that makes me,” he said, pulling you into another quick hug. He pulled away and gave you a chaste kiss on your cheek before turning around and grabbing his helmet. He handed it to you tilting his head to the side. You shook your head with a smile at his silent demand. You gently put it over his head and snapped the chinstrap into place. You grabbed your helmet off the ground and dusted it off before handing Hongjoong your glasses. He held them for you, cleaning the lenses of the tear stains with the fabric of his shirt peeking out the bottom of the leather jacket. You raised the visor and held out your hand for the glasses. He gave them to you and you slipped them on and slapped your visor down. You looked at him and grabbed the sides of his hemet and pressed your helmet to his for a helmet kiss. He let his hands rest over yours as you both looked at each other through the dark visors.
“Let's go see our boyfriends.” You stepped away from him and threw your leg over Ink. He settled in behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist. He pulled you closer as you started the engine. He may have left a little space earlier but now he was as close as he could be. You gave him little warning as you took off back the way you came. The small jolt made him squeeze you tighter and laugh.
“I wish this didn't have to end, I could do this all day every day.”
“Looks like we might have to get you a motorcycle, Joongie.” You responded while leaning into a turn. Because he was practically molded to your back he leaned perfectly with you; he was a quick study.
“We might just have to do that, then you could have someone to race," he said thoughtfully as you both straightened back up.
You made your way back the way you came and once you got to your gate you pushed the button to open it up. As you made it through the trees you smiled at the cars that were parked along your driveway. This is what you loved, being able to come home and see that you had people choosing to spend time with you.
You pulled into the garage and helped Hongjoong get his helmet off after you took yours off. This was the calm before the storm. You knew once they found out you had accepted their invitation that your life would completely change for the better. You studied Hongjoong as he took off the leather jacket you lent him. He turned around to look at you and smiled once he caught you already looking at him.
“Can you pinch me so I know I’m not dreaming?” He approached you, reached out and lightly pinched you. The pain was only there for a moment, but it was just enough; this was real. You let out a laugh and flung your arms around him. He reciprocated the hug and you couldn’t contain your joy. After a couple of minutes you let him go and grabbed his hand interlacing his fingers with yours.
“Hey, Joongie,” his eyes snapped up to yours from looking at your intertwined hands. “I love you too.” With a strength that you assumed he pulled out of his cute ass he tugged you to him and planted a kiss on your lips that sent heat over your neck and to your face. You melted into the kiss but as soon as it started it ended. Giggling like a schoolgirl you started dragging him into your house, eager to see the rest of your boyfriends; no matter the state they were in.
You started to feel the nerves creep up the back of your neck. You squashed them in an instant, this was your choice, these were your boys, they loved you like you loved them. Hongjoong squeezed your hand before letting go so you both could hold onto the handrail to go down the stairs. You heard the crazy singing and saw the flashing lights before you even made it down the first three steps. As the both of you made your way down everyone’s eyes snapped to you. Aurora was behind the bar mixing what looked like some kind of cocktail. Moving over to go to your team you took a seat next to Meadow at the center of the bar. You could feel the grin threatening to split your face. She was smiling back at you and so were the rest of them. You looked at them with a quizzical look, you were interrupted before you could even ask what was going on.
“Y/n-niee!! We missed you!!” You turned just in time to barely catch Yeosang who had thrown himself at you. He nearly toppled you over into the bar. Hongjoong, the life saver, had steadied you. You didn’t even realize that he followed you over.
“Sangie, be careful," he lightly scolded. Yeosang had looked at him like he just kicked his puppy. He was either tipsy or drunk, his face was just barely red but you could feel the heat radiating from him. You giggled and smoothed out Yeosang's soft brown hair. He was standing between your legs and just leaning on you with his head on your chest and arms wrapped around your waist. Shortly after he had enough of his slouched position he moved over to Hongjoong and rested himself on his back with his arms over Hongjoong’s shoulders; almost like a back hug. You smiled softly at him, he didn’t even know that you were his partner yet and he was acting like this.
“Hey, want a drink you two?” You heard Aurora from behind the bar. You turned to look at her red face, she was at least tipsy.
“Yes please, you know what I like, and something sweet for him.” You nodded your head toward Hongjoong. He looked at you with his head tilted. “I have seen you with bitter alcohol. I would rather not have you hissing and spitting at it in my house.” All of the people surrounding you started laughing at your comment, even Yeosang let out a small snicker. Hongjoong smiled at you and grabbed your hand under the bar. You smoothed your thumb over the back of his hand.
“Maybe a strawberry daiquiri?” She asked. You nodded at her and turned to sit actually facing the bar. She grabbed the small pitcher you set in the fridge earlier, poured it out into a tall glass, and slid it over the counter to him. He gently took it and took a sip. Humming at the taste of the sweet drink.
“So, what happened while we were gone? I see that most of them are at least some form of tipsy or drunk.” Rowan snickered as you finished your statement.
“We watched Aurora and Meadow kick their asses at Mario Kart. Then there was a game of foosball that ended up in them taking shots each time one one scored. That’s where Mingi and Wooyoung got their drunkenness from. Yunho and Jongho swept the floor with them.”
“Seonghwa and Yeosang both decided that it would be a great idea to play a tipsy round of ping pong. Wooyoung had somehow got them to take shots when they missed, which only got worse as they went on. We also got it on video just for the two of you.” Aurora said with a giant smile as she rounded the bar to go sit back next to Meadow.
“Yunho and Asher played a few rounds of Air hockey, Asher won one and Yunho won two.” Forrest added from the opposite corner, smirking at Asher who was slightly pouting between his husband and Hongjoong.
“You didn't have to mention that in front of the champion of all of these games.” He leans toward Hongjoong and whispers, "I think she comes down here just to practice strategy sometimes.” He straightened and smiled at you while you were flipping him off
“Oh also, San and Jongho found your whisky collection. San is completely red faced and absolutely hilarious. I knew my flush got bad but I think he might have me beat. Jongho is scary with how well he holds his liquor,” Asher said. You turned your head to look around the space and immediately spotted the men in question. San had a small almost empty glass of whiskey and a large smile on his face watching Jongho, who seemed to be sober, singing. It got to a part that he knew and he immediately started loudly singing using his glass as a microphone. Wooyoung was hanging on San’s shoulder and laughing his ass off at the show. Yunho was dancing animatedly next to Jongho and Mingi was drunken headbanging. Seonghwa was a little red as well, he approached your group at the bar and smiled sweetly at you and HongSang. He rested his arms over your shoulders much like Yeosang was doing with Hongjoong. You leaned back into his embrace and decided to be a little bold to see his reaction.
You kissed the inside of his forearm lightly as Aurora slid a mudslide toward you. She watched with wide eyes at your motion. Before you grabbed the glass you held out your pinky to her. It had become a staple to hold out your pinky to promise that you would talk soon if now wasn't the right time. She linked her pinky around yours with a large smile, she already knew judging by the look on her face but knowing her she would be begging for the details later.
You looked up to Seonghwa who was looking at you with wide eyes. His brain must have been lagging out. With the hand that Aurora just released you grabbed one of his hands and intertwined your fingers with his. His hands were slightly clammy but they were soft and delicate. You brought his hand up to your lips and kissed the back of it before releasing it and grabbing your mudslide. Hongjoong squeezed the hand you held under the table you squeezed back and took a sip of your drink.
“Noonaa! Come play a game with us!!” You turned to look at Wooyoung, he was standing there staring at you. You tilted your head at him and pointed to yourself. He nodded, almost knocking himself into Mingi who was standing directly to his side. You patted Seonghwa’s arms to signal you were going to get up. He unwrapped his arms from around you and stepped away. You got up and smiled at everyone.
“What are we playing Woo? I hope you know I am not all that great at games.” You heard your team and their spouses burst into laughter behind you. You glared at them over your shoulder silently willing them to play along, just for the hell of it. You turned back to the men who were looking at you curiously.
“I wanna play air hockey with Y/n-nie” San slightly slurred. You looked over at him and raised your eyebrow. He was wearing a grin and leaning heavily on Yunho.
“You gotta be able to stand by yourself to play Sannie,” he immediately separated himself from Yunho with a wobble which almost made him knock into Wooyoung who in turn knocked into Mingi in an attempt to avoid San. You burst into giggles and the others at the bar laughed wholeheartedly at the men standing in front of the TV. Once you recovered from your laughing fit you saw all of them pouting at you.
“Aww you poor babies,” you cooed at them making your way over. Your smile was teasing as you pinched San and Wooyoung’s cheeks. They tried to swat you away but missed. “Come on Sannie, let's play a round.” He immediately lit up and started making his way over to the air hockey table, thankfully it was the closest one otherwise he would have ran into something on the way. You turned it on and slid one of the pushers his way. He surprised you by actually catching it.
“First one to eight?” He nodded at you and was trying so hard to lock in. You took pity on him and decided to play a little nicer than you usually did. Most of the time against the team and their spouses, no matter how drunk or sober, you tried your damndest to kick their asses. You let him score some against you and then you got a couple to make it seem like you weren’t throwing the match. Out of the corner of your eye you saw Forrest and Rowan go to the foosball table with Willow and Aurora. You smirked at the thought of trying that with the boys, maybe next time. Once San got to seven you really decided to kick it up. You came up from behind and got up to seven from your measly two. You made a show of trying to block the puck but in the end you ‘slipped’ and he won. The boys surrounding him cheered and you felt someone wrap themselves around you. You turned your head and looked at Yeosang, he was a cute clingy drunk.
“Noona!” You looked away from Yeosang and to Wooyoung. “Can we play Mario Kart?” He was standing there staring at you with the cutest puppy dog eyes that could rival Yunho’s. You nodded at him and he immediately ran and jumped onto the couch.
“The only thing is that we will need to rotate so everyone can play, even the team and their spouses if they choose to do so.” You walked over to the couch with Yeosang trailing shortly behind you, you settled him on the couch in front of where Mocha was and took a seat on the plush rug in front of him. Everyone flocked to the sitting area in front of the large tv. Jongho and Hongjoong took a seat flanking Yeosang, Seonghwa made himself comfortable on the ground next to you in front of Hongjoong. Yunho and Mingi sat on the other side of Hongjoong and San sat next to you. Wooyoung was sitting in the corner of the couch right next to Yunho. Aurora and Meadow made their way over, Aurora took a seat next to Wooyoung and Meadow plopped down on the floor next to Mingi; her bias. You snuck a glance at her and you could see the tips of her ears turn pink. Willow sat next to Aurora and Rowan made himself comfortable in front of her and hung his arms on her knees. Forrest and Asher sat themselves on the rug with Asher next to San and Forrest on his other side. You looked over your chosen family with a smile, this is where your heart is. A weight landed on the top of your head and you assumed Yeosang put his chin on you, shortly after his arms wrapped around your shoulders in the same pose he did with Hongjoong earlier.
Rowan, who was the closest to the entertainment center, grabbed the joycons and handed them out, Wooyoung was the first one to grab one and you followed. Forrest moved across the floor and grabbed the one matching yours and Aurora grabbed the last one. The first game turned into the second and the second turned into the fifth which turned into the eighth. You all were tipsy and or drunk and having so much fun. It had eventually almost turned into a screaming match when Wooyoung hit Mingi with one too many blue shells. Watching those two bicker would never get old. Once everyone had at least one round of playing you heard Jongho speak up from slightly behind you.
“Pool?” You turned to look up at him and you could see the slight red tinge on his face, he definitely was holding his liquor better than everyone else. He had a small glass in his hand and was swirling it as he looked down at you.
“Okay, you are totally on, give me a second and I'll head over.” You got up from beside San and Seonghwa who were slightly leaning on you. They both made a noise of protest as you got up to head to the bar. Aurora was already behind it as she was getting a drink of water for Meadow.
“Jongho and I are playing pool,” You didn’t even have to finish what you were going to say as she already brought out the tray and poured several shots. She knew exactly what you were doing and she grinned at you proudly. Once she was finished you grabbed it and your mudslide and walked over toward the pool table. Setting the tray on the air hockey table you smiled sweetly at the rest of the boys who had circled up around the small area.
“Alright, there are rules in my house, especially if you play pool with me. Every time one of the opposing persons object balls gets sunk you take a shot.” The boys had immediately started to jest like school children. Some of them were patting Jongho on the back and some of them looked worriedly at you. You gave a wink to Hongjoong who had come to lean against the air hockey table. Your team had taken a few of the bar stools and brought them over for the ones who wanted to sit.
“Who breaks?” You walked over to the shelves under the stairs to grab your cue stick. The boy's eyes widened as you pulled out the hidden compartment on one of the bookshelves. You grabbed your black and white onyx cue stick and shut the compartment.
“Ladies first,” he said with a sweep of his hand toward the perfectly arranged object balls. You stepped up to the table and took the cue ball he offered you. You set it down and lined up your shot before putting your cue stick down and balancing on the bridge. You took the shot and the object balls scattered, you just so happened to knock in the solid bright red ball, your lucky number; three. All of the boys gasped and looked between you and the pocket you just made the ball into. You smiled and bowed mockingly as Jongho made his way over to the soju shots. He grabbed one and downed it.
You smirked at him and moved around the table toward the next ball you could possibly make in. You spotted the opportunity with the solid dark red ball. It was situated close enough to the pocket that you could just tip it in if you rebounded the yellow ball against it. You leaned over the side of the table and looked to line up the shot. You pulled back the cue stick and let the cue ball fly. It worked just as you hoped it would, but it did put you in a bad position. The cue ball was surrounded by striped object balls. You watched as Jongho took another shot. His face was getting a little more of a red tint to it. You moved around the table and positioned yourself to make sure your shot would leave him with terrible positions. Balancing out again you knocked into his stripes and the two of them scattered to opposite sides of the table while the cue ball spun out into the middle. He was watching you carefully and you shrugged at him with an innocent smile.
You made your way to Hongjoong and Yeosang and reached behind them to grab your mudslide. Hongjoong slipped his arm around your waist and Yeosang rested his head on your shoulder. The three of you watched as Jongho figured out his best plan of attack. You took a sip of your drink and watched as He managed to knock in one of his stripes. Hongjoong reached over to the tray of shots and grabbed one. He set it against your lips and you tipped your head back taking in the bitter liquid. You smiled bashfully at him as he set it back down like nothing had just happened. Someone was smacking someone else behind you and figured it was Aurora doing the smacking to either Meadow, Willow or both. You watched as Jongho conferred with Yunho who was sipping on his drink on one of the bar stools, he was almost as tall as Jongho even while sitting. Yunho nodded at Jongho as he moved to the opposite end and lined up his shot. You could see what he was doing, it was going to be a tricky shot because he was leaning over most of the table and because it required precision strength. Wooyoung landed a light smack to his ass in encouragement. Jongho looked over his shoulder with a glare as San had enough common sense to drag Woo away from Jongho. You snickered and took another sip of your drink to cover your laughter. He realigned his shot and let his strength propel him to make the shot across the pool table. Alas, his strength was too much this time. The ball he was aiming for had ricocheted off the corners and ended up in the opposite corner he was aiming for.
You handed Hongjoong your drink, stepped up to the table again and looked over the remaining balls. You had five remaining not counting the eight ball; he had six. You lined up your shots and watched as the blue one went into the pocket, it may not have been the one you were going for but you would take it. You watched as Hongjoong handed him another shot. Jongho probably was getting tired of you at this point.
You looked around and mentally took a tally of which shot would be best for you right now. You moved to the opposite corner and leaned over the table to shoot the cue ball across the table like Jongho had. You hit it lightly and it moved a little slow. You watched with bated breath as it approached the yellow ball. You hoped that your hit wasn't too forceful to knock both of them in. They clinked together and you let out a loud noise of accomplishment as the yellow ball fell in but not the cue ball. Hongjoong and your team applauded you and the rest of the boys stood there staring at you in shock. This time you approached the shots and grabbed one. You bowed and presented it to Jongho over your head, just to possibly piss him off. You felt him take it from you, you looked up at him through your lashes. He was definitely feeling it a little more. His eyes were almost dazed as he looked at you. You stood up to your full height and patted him on the head before walking back to the table.
You decided to give him a chance to catch up. You knocked the cue ball into one of his striped ones that was right next to your solid. He stepped up to the table and seemed to be internally debating his next shot. You grabbed your drink from Hongjoong and took another large drink, it was getting a little melty. You felt the boys resume their previous spots, Hongjoong pressed a kiss to your temple, his lips were slightly cold. You caught a faint whiff of something that smelled strangely like your mudslide. Looking down at the drink it seemed like it was marginally lower than you would think it was. You looked back to him and he was smiling at you already. You raised your eyebrows at him and his grin got bigger.
“It's really good, can you blame me?” He whispered to you.
“No, I can't blame you,” you chuckled. “I could show you how to make one sometime soon if you want, I know Sangie would love it.” He picked up his head from your shoulder at the mention of his nickname and smiled tiredly at you.
“Hi, Sweets, are you getting tired?” You brushed your fingers through his hair and he leaned into you. He nodded against your hand and returned his head to your shoulder. You waved San over and had Yeosang lean on him instead because you knew you would be moving again. Jongho had made his dark red striped ball in. You turned to grab a shot and winked at him before downing it. You had a fairly decent alcohol tolerance so you were just barely at the edge of between tipsy and drunk, you also had a lot less than the others surrounding you. You watched as he lined up another shot and let the cue ball fly to the opposite corner but instead of knocking his in, which was right next to one of yours, he knocked your purple solid in. You laughed at the irony, his purple betrayed him. Most of the boys behind him groaned at the shot. He let out a sigh and made his way over to the tray, at least he was abiding by the rules. You smiled sickly sweet at him and he rolled his eyes at you, you could just barely see the smile hidden behind the glass as he downed the shot.
You sat your drink down and stepped away from Hongjoong. You turned to look at Yeosang and San who were wrapped around each other watching you with half closed eyes. Turning toward the table you assessed your chances of winning this right now. Jongho’s shot had put you in a pretty good position; maybe it was time to put on a show. You lined up your first shot; the green ball went into the pocket without a hitch. You celebrated and watched Jongho take another shot.
“You may as well finish the last couple, she has you in the corner Jongho.” He turned to look at Rowan who spoke up from behind Willow. You smirked at him, he knew all too well how easy it was to lose to you. If you remembered correctly, out of all the games you played against him he maybe won a total of ten times out of the almost fifty you played.
“Nobody puts baby in the corner.” you heard San mutter under his breath. You laughed loudly and so did Aurora and Willow. Dirty Dancing was one of Willow’s favorite movies, she could almost recite it word for word at this point. It was your go to movie for wine drunk girls nights. Once you recovered you turned back to the table and looked at the two remaining object balls you needed to knock in to win. All that was left was the orange ball and the black ball.
Turning to Hongjoong you sent him a wink and lined up the shot behind your back. The orange ball just so happened to be close to one of the pockets and all by its lonesome. You checked yourself before shooting the shot. You didn't even have to turn around to know you made it. The boys behind you erupted into flabbergasted chatter. Hongjoong smirked at you, giving you a slight nod. You looked at Jongho who had his jaw almost hanging down to the floor. Making your way over to the tray you grabbed a shot and handed it to him.
“Drink up, Aegiya” (baby) He looked up at you wide eyed and you watched the gears start turning in his brain as he processed the nickname, it was one that most of the boys used on him; and now by extension you. He gently took the drink from you and downed it keeping eye contact with you. His face was just about as red as San’s at this point. You smiled at him and walked back to the pool table. Looking at the black ball you knew this one was going to be more of a challenge. It was close to one of the pockets but it was almost completely surrounded by Jongho’s stripes. You debated a minute before you decided to pull out your bag of tricks. You handed Hongjoong your cue stick and walked over to the wall, everyone was watching you with curiosity as you plucked one of the shorter ones that had a different tip on it.
Forrest let out a dark chuckle, he knew what you were up to. Most of your team followed him. You leaned on the table angeling it so you could be straight on with the black ball. Most of your weight was leaned on your front hand and front foot. You tilted the cue stick at a forty-five degree angle and aimed for the top half of the ball.
“Far corner pocket,” you called out.
“There's no way,” you heard Mingi mutter under his breath to Yunho who was nodding. You snickered before taking a deep breath and smacking into the top half of the cue ball. You watched as it hopped over Jongho’s object balls and hit the eight ball. Holding your breath you watched the cue ball ricochet away from the black ball. Everyone started basically screaming as the eight ball went in. You laughed at Jongho’s shocked expression. Your team and their partners were laughing their asses off at the eight men. A pair of arms wrapped themselves around you, turning your head and you looked up at Seonghwa. He was grinning like a madman.
“Thank you for defending my honor,” he murmured to you. Another round of laughter came from you and Hongjoong. You patted his arm and looked at Jongho who was still staring at the pool table.
“Don't forget your celebratory shot little bear,” you teased. He looked at you and exaggeratedly rolled his eyes. He grabbed a shot from the tray and downed it. You smiled at him tilting your head.
“Remind me to never play pool against her,” you heard Yunho mutter. Mingi laughed and wrapped himself around Yunho.
“Alright, after that riveting pool match I think it is time that we head home," Aurora sounded from where your team had situated themselves. Her and Meadow were standing together and you could tell that Meadow was tired. You nodded at the two of them.
“I would give you a hug but currently someone is taking all of them.” You looked at the shoulder Seonghwa was leaning on. He had a lazy smile on his face and shrugged. The couple chuckled at you and waved.
“Let me know when you get home, that goes for all of you.” You looked pointedly in Forrest’s direction. He held his hands up mocking surrender.
“You forget one time and suddenly the world is ending” he muttered.
“You could have been on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere out here almost an hour away from your place, I don't want to hear it,” you argued back. Forrest looked to Asher who was nodding along with your words with a cheshire grin. He rolled his eyes at the two of you and started walking toward the stairs with a small pout on his face. You waved to Asher and Forrest as they disappeared up the stairs.
“Thank you for hosting us N/n (nickname) we had a lot of fun.” You looked at Rowan, ever the gentleman.
“It was my pleasure, we need to start doing this more often again, I missed it.”
“Agreed,” Willow and Rowan said in unison. They both looked at eachother and burst into a fit of giggles. They were so cute together.
“Drive safe, I'll see you both soon.” They both nodded and headed upstairs. You heard the door close and you turned to the eight men remaining. They all looked like the alcohol was taking its sleepy effect.
“Okay boys, let's get you all situated.” You looked to Hongjoong for help. He nodded at you and smiled, he gently helped separate Seonghwa from you. You watched as he took gentle care of him and started leading him toward the stairs. Most of the boys followed them and you were the last one up the stairs. You shut off the lights and smiled at the memories you created tonight. Some of the boys had stumbled to their bags and grabbed them. You watched with amusement as they tried to figure out which one was which.
“You can take your pick of rooms upstairs," you said as you walked around the house to turn off some of the other lights. Making sure all of them made it upstairs you followed shortly after. As you got up the stairs you saw Mingi and Yunho taking over the forest green room, Wooyoung and San in the plum room and you turned to see Yeosang and Jongho in the maroon room. You smiled to yourself at how well you knew them; your boyfriends. Once you were satisfied everyone was settled you made your way to your room to see Seonghwa and Hongjoong sitting on your bed petting the giants. You smiled at the sight.
“Hi loves,” you said as you entered the room. Both of them looked at you with wide eyes and smiles. Hongjoong got up and approached you with a sweet smile.
“I still can't believe you're ours.” He tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear. Seonghwa made a weird noise between a squeak and a choke. Both of you looked at him with concern. Hearing that seemed to sober him up a bit.
“You're ours?” He asked quietly looking up at you. You nodded with a large smile. He got up on wobbly legs and hugged the both of you. Hongjoong laughed as he was squished against the two of you. “I'm so happy you accepted, yeobo” (Darling). You could feel your smile get wider.
“Me too, my star” he pulled himself away from the two of you and planted a hesitant kiss on your cheek.
“I would like to kiss you, but I want to wait until I am sober," he muttered. You lightly laughed at him while grabbing his hand.
“I would love that, and I agree that needs to happen when you are sober, then you can have all the kisses.” he made a small celebratory motion and Hongjoong let out a snort at the elder man.
“Come on, let's get to bed,” Hongjoong gently put his hand on Seonghwa’s back. You nodded and let go of Hwa’s hand, stepping away and going to your closet to change so they could have a little privacy. You grabbed your moon child shirt and matching shorts. Taking off Seonghwa’s overshirt you gently set it on your vanity. You got situated and knocked on the door to make sure it was safe for you to come out. You giggled at the little bit of irony in what you were doing.
You heard Hongjoong respond that you were safe to come out. Stepping out you saw both of your boyfriends on the bed facing each other. You got into the bed behind Hongjoong who was now in the middle. The giants moved around and settled themselves up close to the three of you. Hongjoong had turned around to face you and you watched as Seonghwa hugged him from behind. Hongjoong reached out to you and laid his hand on your cheek. You closed your eyes as he started running his thumb back and forth on your cheekbone. You felt a small peck to your lips and you smiled at him as he pulled away.
“Goodnight Nae Sarang” (My Love) he muttered
“Goodnight Songbird, I love you. I am happy to be yours and I can't wait to tell the rest of the boys.”
“We love you too, I can't wait either.” He responded with a quiet voice and small smile, his eyes were half closed already. You took off your glasses and set them on the shelf you had next to your bed. Crawling into the bed you cuddled up closer to him and you felt his arm wrap around your waist as he tucked you under his chin. Seonghwa’s hand came to rest just above Hongjoong’s. You listened to their breath even out and let their rhythm lull you into sleep.
★☆☽ Timeskip ☾☆★
PIano music haunted your dreams. You watched as your Granny played the piano in front of hundreds of people. Her face had long since begun to fade from your memory, but you knew it was her. Every stroke, every note echoed across the large theater. People were watching with still silence as she played. It was her last show before she retired. When she finished the last note of one of the first songs she wrote everyone rose. It was a standing ovation, your grandpa, mother, and aunt were all standing beside you applauding loudly. Many people threw roses onto the stage.
You suddenly startled awake, you could feel the tears running down your face, again with the crying today; for fucks sake. Hongjoong and Seonghwa were spooned together and you were still tucked under Hongjoong’s chin. Not wanting to risk waking them up you lightly took both of their hands off of you and scooted off the bed as best you could. Toothless had positioned himself across your back but got up as soon as you started moving. You got up and looked down at the boys on your bed. You wished they could have met your Granny.
You grabbed your glasses and made your way downstairs to grab yourself a glass of cool water. Something rubbed against your calf and you looked down to see Toothless. He was rubbing himself across you and circling to anything he could reach. You stuck your hand out and he headbutted it and rubbed his entire body against you. He had always known when you were troubled, and generally the other two were not too far behind. You looked up from petting Toothless as soon as you heard a half meow. Beans had always been chatty even when she didn't quite have her morning voice yet. Mocha was silently following her. They both approached you and Toothless rubbed himself against Mocha, much like they used to do when they were little. You smiled at them and wished your Granny could have met them too. She would have absolutely loved them, your poor Papa was allergic to dogs so they opted for cats instead. You grew up around cats at their house, it was a bonus that your father couldn't come over. She would have loved how big and affectionate they were.
After giving some love to all three of them you set your glass in the sink. Instead of returning to bed you opted to go downstairs. Making your way to the stairs the giants almost toppled you over as they rushed to beat you down. You turned on the lights and went to the right into the second dining room. While walking to your destination you paused to look at the beautiful white plates that had silver designs; your Granny’s fine china. Yet another thing that she left you after her death. You made your way to the door in the back corner. Taking a deep breath you pushed open the door and flicked on the light. The layer of dust was scattered around as you walked into the room you had not been in for almost a year.
You took in the wood paneled room, it hadn’t changed. Turning to the side you looked at the large deep green couch. Beans had gotten up on it and was sitting there staring at you. Turning back to look at the majority of the room, it was littered with pictures of your family; every one of them was of your mother’s side. You looked at how happy you were all those years ago. Under the facade you knew you were going through some of the hardest moments of your life; but they had always been your light in the darkness. Your Granny and you were the star of most of the pictures littered about, she had been your favorite person.
Walking farther into the room you grabbed the picture that sat on top of the piano on the left. It was a selfie of you and her at her last performance. The both of you were wearing formal dresses and grinning like madmen. She was the reason you are who you are today, her sarcasm and quick witted replies had always stuck with you. Her teasing nature was something that annoyed most people but you absolutely loved it. She loved to play pranks on your Papa and was delighted when you first showed her some on tiktok. The memory of this day came to the forefront of your mind.
“I would like to dedicate this final show to my family. Tommy, you have been the best support and husband I could have asked for. Thank you for listening to me drill these songs nonstop for the last sixty years, I love you.” She was smiling at your Papa. You turned to your right to look at him and you could see the love in his eyes as he gazed up at her. She turned slightly to address your mom and aunt who were on the other side of you.
“Cadence and Melody, thank you for watching your old mom perform and giving me a reason to keep doing this, you both inspired me to continue doing what I love and for that I am eternally grateful, I love you both– Y/n,” she turned to look at you. You watched as her grin faltered and tears started to well in her beautiful light blue eyes.
“My muse, I love you so much. Thank you for allowing me to teach you, thank you for taking an interest in one of the most precious things to me. I know you don't want to follow in my footsteps but I hope you keep playing as you move on to your next adventure. You are the reason I wrote this final song.”
You could still hear the faint melody of the sweet song she played for you. It was the first and only time it debuted. Before you could stop yourself you set the picture down gently and stepped in front of one of the two pianos. Her piano. The one you got when you got here was parallel to you, but you had a soft spot for this one. You had so many memories attached to this particular piano. She taught you everything she knew with this piano. You flourished your hands behind you at nothing and sat at the bench. Pulling away the key cover you dusted off the ivory keys the best you could.
You sat there with your hands on the keys without pressing any of them down. The memories came rolling back. She agreed the first time you asked her to teach you; she was over the moon that her only grandchild was taking an interest in her passion. You remembered sitting next to her while she showed you your first notes over fifteen years ago. The laughter you both shared and the applause as you finished a song in front of your family. You remembered the silly parts of sitting on this bench too. She had always flourished either her dress or air if there was nothing there before she sat down. It was a habit you picked up from her and you hadn't let go of it since. That was the childhood you deserved, not the shitty one you were forced into by your wretched father.
You flexed your fingers to test to see if it was in tune, the first note rang and it was just slightly out. It would be good enough for playing. You took a deep breath and steadied yourself. You began the first notes of the first movement of Moonlight Sonata. Your Granny loved this song. You let the melancholy sounding music take over. Closing your eyes you played it by muscle memory, it was the first song she taught you. You felt the tears well up in your eyes and before you could stop them they were rolling down your face like raindrops on a window. You let out a shuddering breath and continued playing, your eyes never opened and the tears never ceased.
In the quiet of the night was always when you liked to play. You didn't have to worry about people judging you or the noise of everything that was awake during the day. It was just peaceful in the dark corners of the night. You continued for a few minutes before you heard a shuffle by the door. Assuming it was the giants you kept playing. You heard footsteps approaching you on the carpet, opening your eyes, you turned around and you saw Seonghwa. His eyes were squinted at you and at the intrusion of the lights. His hair was a mess from where he had previously been laying on one of your pillows.
“You play beautifully. I didn't even know you played.” He shuffled over to you and sat close to you on the small seat you had next to the bench so someone could watch you play. He reached out and wiped away some of the tears on your face. You leaned into his touch as he cupped your cheek gently. “What’s wrong, my moon?” You closed your eyes at the nickname, you felt the tears start to fall again just slightly quicker this time. The thought flickered across your mind that she sent him to you, that she sent them all to you.
“I haven't played in over a year–” you rasped. “–I haven't played since my Granny died. The first time I played since she passed was earlier today when Jongho was doing his conductor part– and the only reason I did was to get Aurora to stop bugging me about playing– she didn't even know I haven't played since she died..”
He pulled you off of the piano seat and into his lap, you put your head on his chest and continued to cry. “I miss her so much Hwa–” you clutched his clothing”–I miss her so, so much. I wish she was here to see how far I have come, how much I have improved and learned. I wish she could have met you and the rest of the boys. I wish she could have met my best friends, the only ones I had outside of her. Every single one of you would have loved her. I miss her Hwa– I miss her so bad…”
He clutched you tighter to his chest as you wept. He started to comb his fingers through your hair as he looked around the room. The first thing he saw was a picture of you and what he assumed to be your Granny on the piano. The next one he saw was of a piano with three sets of hands on it, two sets were from adults, the other set was from a child. His gaze caught on the picture in the center of the collage on the wall closest to the piano, that must have been them, the couple in the center of the photo were looking at each other with such love. He returned to look at the one on the top of the piano, it must have meant a lot if it was the only one there. “Is that her?” he asked you quietly. You picked up your head from his chest and followed his gaze.
“Yeah, it's the last picture I have of us together before I left for Korea when I was twenty. It was also her final show, she dedicated a song she wrote to me that night.” you looked back to him and he was looking at you with such care. You smiled at him with a watery smile, he returned the gesture before wiping the tears off your cheeks again.
“If she is anything like you, I know I would have loved her.”
Your smile got wider, “She was a mischief maker a lot like Wooyo–” You wiped some more tears from your eyes, “–she absolutely loved poking fun at people.” you let out a watery chuckle. “In fact, one of my favorite memories was when I was little and we scared the absolute shit out of my mother by hiding around the house when she came to pick me up to go home. We hid and evaded my mother for almost twenty minutes. Just as she was about to give up, both of us jumped out at her. I had never heard her scream so loudly and jump so high. All of us burst into uncontrollable laughter after and my mom let me stay the night that night, just for the hell of it. The three of us ended up having a sleepover and eating tons of snacks and falling asleep on a couch very similar to the one in the corner.” you watched as he gazed at the large couch settled in the corner of the room directly to the right of the door.
“She sounds wonderful.” you nodded at him and leaned to rest your head on his shoulder.
“She really was.” you trailed off. The two of you sat there in silence for a couple of minutes just basking in eachother’s warmth. You turned and looked back at the piano. Scooting to get out of Seonghwa’s hold you moved to the bench and stretched out to the keys to begin playing again. This time you played one of your favorites; Clair de Lune. Once you fell into the familiar rhythm you let your muscle memory take over again. You didn't miss a beat of the hauntingly beautiful melody while you looked over to Seonghwa. He was resting his elbow on his crossed legs and his chin was in his hand. He was watching your hands as they danced across the keys. You smiled at how entranced he was before turning back to focus on the song. The melody flowed throughout the room and echoed slightly off the wooden paneled walls. You could feel the vibrations through your fingers and you let them calm you. You noticed your heartbeat wasn't in your throat like it had been earlier today. Your hands felt more sure of themselves as they glided across the keys. The grief, while never gone, had made itself smaller. You swayed with the music and let the final chords ring throughout the room before letting the petals go.
Senghwa immediately swept you up and off of the bench. You laughed at the sudden attack but stilled as you realized he was looking down at you. His eyes were swimming with adoration, he was so close you could see the variations of color in his dark eyes. You let your eyes flicker to take in the rest of his bare face this close. His skin was so smooth and his smile was perfect. His lips were a light shade of red like he had been worrying them through his teeth. You looked back to his eyes and watched the realization of the situation you were in settle into his mind.
He leaned in slowly and pressed his plump lips against yours. You were initially stiff but immediately relaxed into his gentle hold as your eyes fluttered closed. As soon as you started kissing him back he pulled you as close to him as you could get. You brought your arms up and placed your hands on his cheeks letting your thumbs run across them. His hands smoothed over your back and you felt a shiver roll through you at the light touch of his skin where your top rode up just slightly. His hands were warm as he moved the shirt upward just a little, it was an intimate gesture; a gentle caress. His thumbs started rubbing softly at the base of your spine. You let your hands travel over his cheeks and settle at the back of his neck where you played with the long strands of his hair. He pulled away from you and your eyes fluttered open. He let out a small content sigh, his eyes didn't open as he leaned his forehead against yours.
You rested there for what only felt like seconds before a yawn escaped you. He opened his eyes and looked into yours. You both were smiling at eachother. Before you could do anything else a yawn escaped him too. You chuckled at him and pulled him to you in a quick hug. He rested himself against you briefly before you separated from him. He let out a small whine and pouted at you. You tilted your head at him with a small smile
“Come on my star, let's go back to bed.” You grabbed his hand and interlaced your fingers with his before making your way out of the room. The giants followed shortly behind as you turned off the light. The two of you quietly made your way up the stairs and went to your room. Hongjoong was cuddled up in the center of the bed in a large cocoon of blankets. Both of you let out huffs of laughter and took your respective spots on the bed. Before you laid on the bed you took your glasses off and set them on the shelf again. Hongjoong’s body subconsciously reacted to Seonghwa joining him; he had just barely scooted closer to the taller man’s form. Seonghwa gently grabbed him and pulled him forward to his chest to tuck him under his chin. Once he was settled you scooted in behind Hongjoong. You felt Seonghwa’s hand lightly searching for something. You grabbed his hand and he immediately settled. Cuddling farther into the back of Hongjoong’s neck you fell asleep.

A few days go by, as you go outside to your old room standing on the balcony seeing the building destroyed. You sighed wishing to have a normal life.
The cold night air nipped at your skin as you leaned against the railing, staring at the distant ruins of the building that once stood tall—the place you had called home, the place where your life had begun to unravel. The flames were long gone, but the destruction remained, along with the murmurs of onlookers who whispered about the explosion.
You sighed; your breath visible in the night air.
For a moment, you let yourself imagine something different. A normal life. One without war. Without blood. Without betrayal.
A life where you weren’t constantly looking over your shoulder, where you didn’t have to choose between love and survival. A life where you, Yunho, and Jongho could’ve walked away from all of this—built something new, something real.
But reality wasn’t kind like that.
You closed your eyes, gripping the railing tighter. You weren’t naive. You knew this world. Knew that peace was an illusion. And even if you wanted it, the life you had been forced into wouldn’t let you go so easily.
“Thinking about running?” A voice pulled you from your thoughts.
You turned to see Yunho standing in the doorway, watching you carefully. His face was still bruised, his lip slightly swollen from the fight, but his eyes—his eyes were sharp, seeing through you like always.
You scoffed lightly. “Would it be so bad if I did?”
He leaned against the frame, crossing his arms. “Maybe not. But you wouldn’t get far.”
You smirked, shaking your head. “You underestimate me.”
Yunho chuckled softly, stepping closer. “No, I don’t. I know you, Y/N. I know you want something more than this life, but you also know you can’t just leave it behind.”
You bit your lip, looking away. He was right. You hated that he was right.
“I just…” You exhaled deeply, rubbing your arms for warmth. “I wish things could be different.”
Yunho stood beside you, gazing out at the destroyed building. “Me too.”
Silence settled between you, comfortable but heavy.
“Come back inside,” he finally said, his voice softer now. “Jongho’s going to wake up soon, and I know the first person he’s going to ask for.”
Your heart clenched at that.
You nodded slowly, allowing Yunho to take your hand and lead you back inside. Because as much as you wished for a different life, the truth was…
This was your reality.
And you weren’t running from it anymore.
You sat beside them and Yunho sighed as he laid beside you.
Jongho finally woke up and looked around seeing you.
"Good morning sleepy head." You tease him poking his nose playfully.
Jongho blinked a few times, adjusting to the dim lighting of the room. His gaze softened the moment it landed on you. Despite the exhaustion still clinging to his body, a small, lazy smirk pulled at his lips.
“Morning?” he mumbled, his voice rough with sleep. “Feels like I’ve been out for days.”
“You kinda were,” Yunho muttered from beside you, arms crossed as he leaned back into the couch.
You chuckled, poking Jongho’s nose again. “You scared me, you know.”
Jongho hummed, his eyes flickering between you and Yunho before settling back on you. “I think I scared myself more.”
“You’re not allowed to get shot again,” you said, crossing your arms with a mock pout. “I won’t forgive you next time.”
His smirk widened, despite the pain he was clearly in. “Guess I’ll have to be more careful then.”
Yunho scoffed, shaking his head. “We all do.”
The weight of his words settled over you. You had barely made it out alive this time, and Maverick was still out there. This wasn’t over. Not yet.
But for now—for this moment—you let yourself breathe. You let yourself be here, beside them, safe.
Jongho reached for your hand, squeezing it lightly. “I’m glad you stayed.”
You squeezed back. “Me too.”
Jongho gave you a small glance and sat up.
"Oh no, you need to rest." You place your hands on his chest pushing him back down softly.
"That might be hard for me to kiss you." Jongho smiled.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t stop the warmth from spreading across your cheeks. “You’re literally half-dead, and that’s what you’re thinking about?”
Jongho smirked despite the pain, his fingers tracing lazy patterns against your hand. “What can I say? Almost dying makes a guy appreciate what he has.”
Yunho scoffed from beside you. “Romantic. But if you start making out in front of me while I’m sitting here concussed, I’m throwing both of you off this couch.”
Jongho chuckled, wincing slightly. “Noted.”
You shook your head, amused. “You need to heal, Jongho. Kissing can wait.”
He pouted dramatically. “That’s cruel.”
You leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. “There. That’s all you get for now.”
Jongho sighed, closing his eyes for a moment before smiling. “I’ll take it… for now.”
Yunho groaned. “I need painkillers and a break from you two.”
"I don't have either of those things, but I can give you a kiss." You playfully climbed onto Yunho's lap.
"I'll take it." He smirked. Jongho groaned frustratedly.
"You let him kiss you? You clearly have a favorite then." He scoffs angrily. You kissed Yunho really quick and went back to Jongho kissing him next.
"Better? Now rest." You rolled your eyes ruffling his hair softly.
Jongho huffed dramatically, but you could see the corners of his lips twitching into a smile. “I guess that’s acceptable,” he muttered, though his grip on your waist tightened slightly as if he didn’t want to let you go.
Yunho chuckled, leaning back against the couch. “Yeah, yeah. Now, where’s my painkillers?”
You shook your head, standing up. “I’ll go get them. Try not to kill each other while I’m gone.”
As you walked out of the room, you heard Yunho tease, “So… how does it feel knowing she kissed me first?”
Jongho’s groan followed immediately. “Shut the hell up, Yunho.”
You laughed to yourself, shaking your head. They were impossible. But they were yours.
You went to Yunho's bathroom to grab painkillers and went back to give them to him.
"How about we go back to my room and continue the kiss." Yunho smirks pulling you on his lap.
"Maybe later..." You hum shifting yourself on his lap.
Jongho rolled his eyes. "Unbelievable," he muttered, crossing his arms. "You two are insatiable."
You giggled, running your fingers through Yunho’s hair as he smirked up at you. "Can you blame us?" Yunho teased, pressing a kiss against your wrist.
Jongho scoffed but couldn’t hide the small smirk forming on his lips. "Fine. But if I have to sit here and watch, at least make it entertaining."
You turned to him with a playful grin. "Oh? Feeling left out, Jongho?"
Yunho chuckled, his fingers tracing small circles on your waist. "Don't worry, sweetheart. We’ll make it up to him later."
Jongho sighed dramatically, but you saw the way his eyes darkened slightly, a mix of amusement and something deeper.
You smirked, leaning down to whisper against Yunho’s lips, "Then maybe I’ll take you both up on that later."
The tension in the room shifted, thick and charged, and for a moment, the war, the chaos, the danger—it all faded into the background.
Jongho leaned forward, his gaze locked onto yours. “Careful what you promise, sweetheart,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing, but there was an undeniable edge to it.
Yunho’s smirk widened as he traced his fingers lazily along your spine. “She knows exactly what she’s doing,” he mused, his lips brushing your jawline. “Don’t you, baby?”
You shivered under their attention, enjoying the rare moment of peace wrapped in their warmth. It was easy to forget, even for just a second, that outside these walls, a war was still raging. That Maverick was still out there. That your father’s name still carried weight in the underworld.
But here, between them, you felt something you hadn’t in a long time—safe.
Jongho exhaled, leaning back into the couch with a smirk of his own. “Then I guess we’ll just have to hold you to it.”
You chuckled, shaking your head as you pulled away, but not before pressing a lingering kiss to Yunho’s lips, then moving over to Jongho, giving him the same.
“Later,” you repeated, your voice dripping with playful promise. “For now, you two need rest.”
Yunho groaned, flopping dramatically against the cushions. “You’re too responsible sometimes, sweetheart.”
Jongho rolled his eyes. “One of us has to be.”
You laughed, sitting back against the couch. "I’ll take that as a compliment."
Yunho didn't take no as an answer though. He continued kissing you until he flipped you over.
"I am fine, I just want you now." Yunho exhales sharply.
"You need to rest." You stare at him.
"I will after you give me what I want." He presses himself against you.
Jongho groaned, rubbing his temples. “For fuck’s sake, Yunho. You’re injured.”
Yunho only smirked, completely ignoring him as his eyes stayed locked onto yours. “Doesn’t mean I can’t still have some fun,” he murmured, lips brushing against your ear. His hands gripped your waist, holding you firm beneath him, his warmth seeping into your skin.
You exhaled sharply, trying to keep your composure. “You’re impossible,” you muttered, though your body betrayed you, your fingers curling against his chest.
He chuckled, low and amused. “And yet, you love it.”
Jongho sighed dramatically. “This is ridiculous. If you pass out from blood loss because you were too busy being horny, I’m not saving you.”
Yunho rolled his eyes but didn’t pull away. Instead, he leaned down, his lips brushing against yours teasingly. “Tell me to stop, sweetheart,” he challenged.
You swallowed hard, your heart pounding. But you weren’t about to let him win this easily.
Instead of answering, you flipped him over, taking control, pinning him beneath you. His eyes widened slightly before amusement flickered in them.
“I said rest,” you teased, leaning in to kiss his jaw. “But if you’re going to be stubborn…” You trailed your lips down his neck slowly, feeling him shiver beneath you.
Jongho groaned. “You’re both insufferable.”
You laughed softly, glancing at him. “Jealous?”
Jongho scoffed, crossing his arms. “I don’t need to fight for attention.”
Yunho smirked up at you. “Maybe, but I do love it when she gets all worked up over me.”
You rolled your eyes, pressing one last kiss to his lips before pulling away completely. “That’s all you get until you actually rest.”
Yunho groaned in frustration, throwing an arm over his face. “You’re a tease.”
Jongho smirked. “She’s just smarter than you.”
You settled back between them, exhaling deeply. This was your life now—chaotic, messy, and completely unpredictable.
"How long do I have to rest to get some action?" Yunho smirks. You hum pretending to think.
"6 weeks." You tease. Yunho gives you a pouty puppy look.
Jongho snorted. “She’s right. Doctor’s orders.”
Yunho groaned dramatically, throwing his head back against the cushions. “Six weeks? That’s cruel and unusual punishment.”
You smirked, crossing your arms. “Maybe you should’ve thought about that before getting yourself nearly killed.”
Yunho grumbled under his breath before looking at you with his best pleading expression. “What if I recover faster? Miraculously, of course.”
You tapped your chin, pretending to consider. “I guess we’ll see. If you behave.”
Jongho rolled his eyes. “Yeah, like that’s gonna happen.”
Yunho pouted, looking at you like a kicked puppy. “Come on, sweetheart. Don’t you feel bad for me? Just a little?”
You leaned in, pressing a teasing kiss to his cheek. “Not even a little.”
Jongho smirked, clearly enjoying watching Yunho suffer. “Looks like you’ll be dealing with a lot of cold showers.”
Yunho groaned again, flopping against you dramatically. “This is torture.”
You laughed, shaking your head as you ruffled his hair. “Consider it motivation to get better.”
Jongho leaned back, smug. “Or just karma.”
Yunho shot him a glare. “You’re enjoying this way too much.”
Jongho smirked. “Oh, absolutely.”
You just shook your head, caught between the two of them, knowing full well that no matter how much Yunho whined, you weren’t going to make it easy for him.
And honestly? Watching him suffer a little was pretty fun.
Yunho sighed dramatically, throwing an arm over his eyes. “You’re both evil.”
You smirked, resting your chin on his chest. “And yet, you still love us.”
Jongho chuckled, shaking his head. “Unfortunately for him.”
Yunho peeked at you from under his arm, eyes filled with mock betrayal. “So, you’re both just going to gang up on me?”
“Obviously,” you and Jongho said at the same time, causing you both to laugh while Yunho groaned in frustration.
“I hate this,” Yunho muttered.
“No, you don’t,” Jongho teased, smirking.
You patted Yunho’s chest. “Nope, you love this.”
Yunho exhaled, shaking his head, before tightening his grip around you and pulling you closer. “Yeah… I do.” His voice was softer now, less playful, more honest.
Jongho watched the exchange for a moment before nodding, reaching over to ruffle Yunho’s hair. “Get some rest, idiot.”
Yunho let out a small chuckle, but for once, he didn’t argue. His eyes fluttered shut as he held you close, and Jongho settled in beside you, his presence warm and steady.
Both of them soon fell asleep holding onto you. You just slept with them both.
---
You woke up the next day around noon, Jongho was already awake just resting.
He looked over at you, a soft smile tugging at his lips as he brushed a strand of hair from your face. “Morning, sleepyhead.”
You hummed, stretching slightly but not wanting to leave the warmth of their embrace. “Morning… how long have you been awake?”
Jongho shrugged. “A while. Just watching you both drool in your sleep.”
You gasped, playfully swatting his arm. “I do not drool.”
Jongho smirked, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Mmm, sure. Keep telling yourself that.”
You pouted, shifting closer to Yunho, who was still deep asleep, his face buried against your shoulder. His arms were still wrapped around your waist, refusing to let go even in his sleep.
Jongho sighed, shaking his head. “He’s going to be unbearable when he wakes up.”
You chuckled. “When is he not?”
Jongho hummed in agreement, his fingers lazily tracing circles on your arm. “So… are we really doing this?” His voice was quieter now, more serious.
You looked up at him, searching his expression. “Doing what?”
“This,” he said simply, gesturing between the three of you. “Us.”
Your heart softened. There was no hesitation in your answer. “Yeah… we are.”
Jongho exhaled, his features relaxing as he nodded. “Good.”
You smiled, leaning up to kiss his cheek. “Good.”
Jongho let out a soft chuckle, his fingers intertwining with yours. “Then there’s no going back now.”
You shook your head, a small smile tugging at your lips. “No. There’s not.”
Yunho stirred beside you, groaning slightly as he stretched. His eyes cracked open, still hazy with sleep, and the first thing he saw was the two of you holding hands.
“Am I missing something?” he mumbled, voice still rough from sleep.
Jongho smirked. “Just confirming what we already knew.”
Yunho blinked a few times before a slow smirk spread across his lips. “So, we’re official now?”
You rolled your eyes playfully. “Were we not before?”
He chuckled, tugging you closer, his lips brushing against your temple. “Just making sure, sweetheart.”
Jongho shook his head. “We really need to work on your confidence.”
Yunho only grinned, wrapping both arms around you and pulling Jongho in as well. “Nah, I just like hearing her say it.”
You sighed, but your heart was warm—full. “Well, get used to it.”
And as the three of you lay there, tangled together in a mess of warmth, love, and a little bit of chaos, you knew this was where you were meant to be.
No more running.
No more doubt.
Just the three of you—exactly as it was always meant to be.
"Can you now give us attention?" Yunho whispers against your ear nibbling it playfully. You felt your face and body heat up.
You shivered slightly at Yunho’s teasing touch, his breath warm against your skin. “Yunho,” you warned, trying to suppress the way your body reacted to him so easily.
Jongho chuckled beside you, his voice smooth and knowing. “You’re insatiable.”
Yunho grinned, completely unbothered. “Can you blame me? We finally have her, and I intend to make up for lost time.”
You swallowed, caught between them, their hands on you, their presence overwhelming in the best way possible. “I thought you needed rest,” you teased, trying to regain some control.
“I’m fully healed now,” Yunho smirked, pressing soft kisses along your jaw. “And I think it’s time for you to pay up for making me wait.”
Jongho hummed, his hand trailing down your arm, his gaze dark with amusement. “You did say six weeks. But… maybe we can negotiate.”
Your heart pounded, anticipation thick in the air.
You were theirs.
And now, they would make sure you never forgot it.
"I still think 6 weeks..." You try to tease but back out once they both sat up and attached themselves to you.
"You say that, but it sounds like you want us now." Yunho breaths against your neck and slowly lifts your shirt over your head.
You sucked in a sharp breath, feeling the warmth of their bodies pressing against you, their touches deliberate, teasing, overwhelming.
Jongho smirked, his fingers tracing slow, burning patterns down your side. “Six weeks is a long time to wait, sweetheart.”
Yunho chuckled darkly, his lips ghosting over your collarbone. “Especially when we know you don’t really want to wait.”
Your breath hitched as Jongho’s hands slid lower, his grip firm yet gentle. “Tell us to stop,” he murmured, his lips brushing against your ear. “Tell us, and we will.”
But you didn’t.
Because you didn’t want them to.
Instead, you let yourself melt into their touch, into the heat pooling between you.
Six weeks?
Not a chance.
"I guess we have our answer." Jongho smirks.
Yunho chuckled, his fingers trailing lightly along your spine, sending a shiver through you. “Knew she was bluffing,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing. “Our girl can’t resist us.”
Jongho hummed in agreement, his grip tightening as he pulled you even closer. “She never could.”
You inhaled sharply, your heart pounding in your chest as their warmth surrounded you. The intensity in their gazes, the way their touch lingered—it was overwhelming in the best way.
“I don’t want anyone walking in…” you whispered, biting your lip as you glanced toward the door. “Last time, Seonghwa nearly killed us for getting caught.”
Yunho smirked, brushing his nose against your cheek. “That just means we need to be quieter.” His fingers ghosted over your jaw, tilting your face toward his. “Think you can do that, sweetheart?”
Jongho chuckled, his voice rich with amusement. “I don’t think she can.”
Your breath hitched as they closed in, the air thick with anticipation. It wasn’t just about desire—it was about everything you had fought for, everything you had survived together.
Soon Jongho removed your bra and cupped your breasts in his palms squeezing them softly. You let out a soft moan softly rubbing yourself against Yunho.
"6 Weeks my ass." Yunho groaned gripping your waist tighter, his breaths more ragged and needy. You get lifted up real quick and Yunho throws your pants off on the ground just now leaving you in your panties.
"You both need to be gentle then if we are going to do this. I don't want either of you injuring yourselves while we do it." You tremble softly feeling Yunho's bulge grown underneath you.
You bite your lip rubbing yourself more.
"Oh, you want us to be gentle? You're rubbing yourself all over me like a cat in heat begging to be fucked." Yunho's voice got darker and raspy. His breath getting caught in his throat. You whimper feeling his fingers press against your lower stomach.
"Giving Yunho all the attention?" Jongho's eyes scan your entire body.
"Yeah, she is..." Yunho smirks enjoying the attention he is getting. Jongho growls pulling you on his lap. You gasp and he immediately runs his hands all over your body.
"Mm..." You hum.
You were loving their attention, loving that they were fighting over you and trying to get you to want them more and more.
Jongho smirks watching you. You slide yourself on his thigh finally creating a wet spot.
"Such a good girl... I love you so much." He breathes out. You almost squirted on his thigh after he said that. Yunho watched you both almost possessively and a hint of jealousy catching his reactions.
"Jongho..." You moan feeling all the heat and pleasure rush to your core.
"Just keep pleasuring yourself baby girl..." He smirks. You close your eyes, lips parted as you kept rubbing yourself. Jongho enjoyed the view.
"Fuck..." You curse and sit up pulling your panties off as you get back on Jongho's leg. You both notice a wet spot line forming on his thigh and he just lets you continue.
Your breathing gets heavier and louder as you moan helplessly rubbing yourself intensely on Jongho's thigh.
"Look at me princess." Jongho groans lifting your face with his thumb. You pant against him, lips parted and your legs trembling.
"She is ruining herself..." Jongho just laughed.
"Baby, Focus." He exhales but you whimper gripping his chest frantically jolting and rubbing rougher against him.
"Fuck she looks so hot..." Jongho cursed. Yunho watched you both exhaling sharply.
"I can't... Fuck. I can't control myself...!" You whine out. Jongho groans. Yunho immediately loses control over his mind and grips you pulling you onto his lap harshly right on his bulge making you rub yourself on it. You moan loudly almost drooling.
"Yunho!" You cry out immediately. Jongho growls not liking that Yunho took you away from him.
"I need you both so bad." You couldn't control yourself anymore. Yunho smirks lifting you up and immediately unzipping his pants pulling his cock out. You watch it spring up and twitch in need of being touched. Jongho sighs unzipping his pants pulling his out.
"Fuck..." You almost drooled at the sight of them both.
"So, who wants to play with me first" you tease crossing your legs as you sit between them. Jongho places his hand over your thigh spreading your legs apart as he looks down as your glistening we cunt.
"If we do we are gonna make a mess on this sofa." Yunho whispers in your ear as his fingers trail softly to your lower stomach until they reach in between your folds.
"I'll take her first" Jongho exhales.
"Fucking hell you will." Yunho spits. They started bickering again and You shut them both up immediately as you pressed Jongho softly on the sofa as you climbed on top of him. Jongho smirks and flips Yunho off.
"If you are going to act that way I'll only let Yunho have me tonight." You snap at Jongho taking control this time. You soon let Yunho come behind you and soon you feel both of them push deep inside you at the same time causing you to gasp and moan loudly.
Both of them groan burying themselves deep into you. You had a dazed look on your face, lips parted and loud lewd noises escaping your mouth. "I feel like I'm being ripped open..." You dug your nails into Jongho's hair tangling yourself into him.
Jongho smirks kissing and biting your bottom lip as he bucks himself upward into you. Yunho attaches his lips sucking and leaving marks against your neck.
Yunho grips your waist tighter as both him and Jongho pound deep into you.
"Let me see your pretty face..." Jongho groans removing your hair from your face as Yunho pulls it back with one hand.
"You are so beautiful." Jongho huffs thrusting upward into you. You barely can contain yourself, panting for air and trying to adjust yourself still.
You felt Jongho brush his lips against yours, holding your legs up as both of them got rougher. Yunho started groaning against your skin while slamming into you causing you to moan louder.
As they both got rougher and sloppier you yourself were losing it. You looked into Jongho's eyes feeling yourself completely melt on them both.
"I can't hold it in anymore..." You cried out. It wasn't long before they both filled you up and kept you on them for a moment.
"She looks tired." Jongho huffed out. You fell limp onto Jongho, he shifted himself underneath you.
"Love, I'm still injured." He laughed softly. You ignored him just lying on top of him until they both pulled out.
Yunho looked at you both cuddling each other now.
"Why does she only want to cuddle you after our session?" He sounded jealous and possessive.
"Cause she likes me more." Jongho hummed teasing Yunho.
You let out a sleepy laugh, your fingers lazily drawing patterns on Jongho’s chest as you peeked over at Yunho with a soft smile.
"Maybe I just know he gets grumpy if he doesn’t get post-cuddle time," you teased, voice light.
Jongho smirked, clearly satisfied, while Yunho narrowed his eyes with a mock pout.
"So I don’t get grumpy?" Yunho muttered under his breath, scooting closer and wrapping an arm possessively around your waist. "Guess I’ll just steal you back."
"You two really gonna fight over who gets to be the big spoon?" you asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Absolutely," they said at the same time.
You sighed and decided to sit up. "Well, I need to get dressed before someone walks in on us." You grabbed your clothes throwing them on.
"How are you both feeling?" You asked genuinely curious, making sure they weren't hurting.
Jongho stretched his arms behind his head with a small wince but tried to play it off. “Still a little sore,” he admitted, eyeing you as you got dressed. “But nothing I can’t handle.”
Yunho leaned back against the pillows, his expression softer than usual. “Bruised pride and a headache, but I’ll live,” he smirked, then added with a more serious tone, “You don’t have to keep checking on us, you know. We’re okay.”
You looked between the two of them, your heart tugging just a little. “I know. But I want to. You both nearly died, remember?”
Jongho gave you a small smile, one of those rare ones that showed he actually felt something deep. “And you were right there with us. So yeah… we remember.”
Yunho tilted his head at you. “What about you? How are you feeling?”
"Good, tired of course thanks to you two." You rolled your eyes.
"I need to talk to Hongjoong about something..." Yunho spoke sighing as decided to leave the room. You got curious and looked at Jongho.
"It's nothing bad right?" You looked worried now.
"No, it's not." He smiled.
You studied Jongho’s expression for a moment, trying to read between the lines. His smile was calm, reassuring… but there was always something lurking beneath the surface with him. Still, he didn’t seem worried, so you let yourself relax a little.
“If you say so…” you mumbled, though your curiosity still burned.
Jongho reached over, tugging gently at your hand to pull you back down beside him. “If it was serious, I’d tell you. I promise.”
You nodded, settling back against him, your head resting on his shoulder. “Okay. I just… I don’t want any more surprises.”
Jongho chuckled softly. “Trust me, I think we’ve had enough of those to last a lifetime.”
Still… your eyes lingered on the door Yunho had just walked through.
Something told you it wasn’t just a casual conversation with Hongjoong.
After a while, Yunho came back and smiled softly as he sat beside you.
"Hongjoong agreed to let us take a break and move into a place and hopefully we can start safer and in a new life together." He smiled. You felt all the stress leave you and you finally just relaxed. Looking at both of them you leaned your head against Jongho's shoulder and smiled.
Yunho reached over, brushing his fingers gently through your hair as he watched you with that soft, vulnerable expression he reserved only for you.
“I figured… we’ve all earned it,” he murmured. “A real chance. Away from all the blood, the chaos. Just… peace.”
Jongho leaned his head against yours, his hand resting warmly on your thigh. “No more wars. No more enemies. Just us.”
And for the first time in what felt like forever, you actually believed it.
No more running.
No more betrayal.
Just the three of you, starting over—stronger, wiser, and still standing.
You closed your eyes, listening to their steady breaths, the silence no longer heavy with fear… but with promise.
This was your new beginning. And you weren’t letting go of it for anything.
You looked at them curious about other things.
"What about your work here? Jongho I know you work for the strip club but who will run it?" You ask
"Me and Yunho will have to still work for Hongjoong but I am giving the club to either San or Wooyoung, whoever wants it." Jongho smiled.
Yunho nodded, stretching his arm across the back of the couch. “San’s been hinting he wants more responsibility anyway. And Wooyoung’s basically been running it on nights we weren’t there.”
Jongho smirked. “We’ll still check in now and then. But we’re done living in that world 24/7. It’s not who we are anymore.”
You raised an eyebrow, still surprised at how calm they were about walking away from a life they once lived and breathed. “And Hongjoong’s okay with all this?”
Yunho let out a quiet laugh. “He didn’t love it. But… he gets it. Especially after everything that’s happened.”
Jongho looked over at you, his gaze warm. “We’ve got new priorities now. You. Us. A real future.”
And hearing them say it like that, with such certainty—it made your heart ache in the best way.
You weren’t just their weakness anymore.
You were their reason to start over.
"Y/N, tomorrow we can look at houses and figure out what to do." Jongho hums holding you close.
You melted into his arms, your fingers lightly tracing shapes against his chest. “That sounds… perfect,” you whispered, the weight of everything finally beginning to lift.
Yunho leaned over, brushing your hair behind your ear with a rare tenderness. “We’ll find somewhere quiet. Somewhere we can actually breathe. No more hiding. No more running.”
The thought of a home—one that was truly yours, with them—filled you with something you hadn’t felt in a long time.
Hope.
“Just promise me,” you murmured, looking between them, “no matter what happens, we don’t go back. We don’t let anyone take this from us.”
Jongho nodded firmly, his grip tightening. “We won’t.”
Yunho’s voice was soft but unwavering. “Not again. We’ve already lost you once. Never again.”
And in that moment, with both of them holding you like their lives depended on it… you knew this was the beginning of everything you had been fighting for.

i have to re-write this one ...
"Aughost!" || choi jongho || part.one

| genre: ghost! jongho. slice of life. angst. | mentions: death. past life. | [final] part two this is to make up for you guys and for the chapters for my mini-series of Hongjoong (GO CHECK IT OUT "DIFFERENT [LOVE] LANGAUGE). I am a little busy with the other chapters and I have to re-write some of them since I plan of uploading them all of at once.

“— please I do not judge— but yeah you match the “match” of this ajumma that helps me that could help me in going back to my body. I’m Jongho, by the way.”
“WHAT THE FU—!”
Your mom used to say something about the gates of Hell opening in the month of August. She spoke with mere belief, yet there was a fear in her eyes that intrigued you—an unusual thing to see in someone as strong as her. She mentioned how evil spirits gained more power during this time, able to possess people and haunt them however they pleased.
You were far from believing such superstitions; they never seemed to match well with coincidence, yet they managed to trick so many people. After reading a book about your family's history, you noticed how most of your grandmothers had written down all their superstitions, and this "Aughost" was one of the oldest. It was a huge belief of your greatest grandmother that August was when the Gates of Hell opened, making spirits more powerful. That's why none of your family had birthdays in August. No one—except for you.
Most of your family members became overprotective of you, especially when this month arrived. Your birthday was celebrated in such a close-knit manner that you started to think it would just be you blowing out a single candle.
That was until your entire family disagreed with such simplicity and insisted on a proper gathering, though it was always within the safe confines of your parents' house. You rolled your eyes when your aunt handed you a candle, winking at you.
At least one person didn’t believe in such superstition. That person was your aunt, who had been somewhat cast out by the rest of the family for her rebellious outlook, despite what they called the "bad luck of luck" that came with being born in August. She wasn't the only one who celebrated a birthday this month, but she did have it the hardest, being born on August fourth—considered an unlucky number in your family—being a part of her life in more ways than one. Yet, she turned out to be happier in her life.
As the night wore on, your family continued to chatter happily about whatever news they’d heard, the sound of their voices filling the house. The clock near midnight, and as it inched closer to twelve, everyone began to realize your birthday was almost over. One by one, they started saying their goodbyes. There were hugs, warm words, and a few last-minute gifts handed your way. Each person thanked your parents for the party, wished you well, and offered some kind of reassurance about the month ahead.
Finally, the house grew quiet. The rooms that had been filled with laughter and conversation now only echoed with distant footsteps and the gentle closing of doors. You climbed the stairs, hearing the last goodnights from downstairs.
In your room, you pulled out your cake from the mini-fridge, a small, simple chocolate cake with a single candle. Like mentioned, they do not want to grab attention from the said evil spirits that might lurk inside the house and stay with you for the rest of your lifetime. The clock ticked softly in the background, the long hand inching toward twelve again, but this time it was nearing three o’clock in the afternoon. You stuck the candle into the cake, the room now bathed in soft darkness.
“No one’s gonna know,” you whispered, placing your palms together. The room enveloped you in stillness, the flickering candle casting shadows that danced around you, as if the spirits themselves were watching. As you wish inside your head before blowing your candle at the same time, the long hand finally met the small one in the middle.
Your clock made a soft ding, you chuckle putting your cake away. Shaking your head, “Nothing happened.” You walk back towards your bed, tucking yourself in before endless dreams consume you.
The next day, your mom talked to you about her rules for keeping bad spirits at bay. You tilted your head in curiosity, tucking your legs underneath your hips as she pulled out a small book titled Aughost. You chuckled at the title, and she did too, flipping through the pages.
"Don't laugh at it," she said, trying to sound stern but with a smile tugging at her lips. "Your great-great-grandma thought it through so thoroughly." She exaggerated the 'so,' and you couldn't help but laugh again.
"Okay, here’s the list. As much as possible, never do any of these at night." You frowned, leaning over the makeshift coffee table. She shrugged. "I’m not entirely sure why, but it must have scared your great-great-grandma a lot."
You looked at the writing: Follow these three steps to keep bad spirits and demons out of your home.
“First,” she read, “you should never hang up your laundry at night. I know it sounds strange, but the smell of your scent is still fresh, and it could literally lure in those spirits.” You nodded.
The past few weeks have been exhausting. Your boss was relentless, demanding reports on rates, sales, and everything else yesterday, throwing your department into chaos as everyone rushed to meet deadlines.
By the time you got home, you were drained. You sighed, tossing your bag on the couch, then headed to the fridge for a water bottle. Collapsing back on the couch, you let out another deep sigh.
“I cooked last night, so dinners sorted. Water the plants… take out the trash… Oh, crap, I forgot the laundry!” You jumped up, rushing to the laundry room. You dumped the dirty clothes onto the floor and threw the clean ones in the machine. You quickly opened the window and started hanging the clothes to dry outside.
When you were done, you tidied up, changed into pajamas, and settled down to eat while watching an old movie—your comfort zone. “Yes, Mama, I’ve eaten dinner,” you said later, juggling your dinner and a Facetime call with your mom. “I’m just finishing up the last report for my boss. We have a board meeting tomorrow, and Ms. Kang wants me there in case Hongjoong can’t make it because of his winter cold.”
As you typed on your laptop, you suddenly heard one of your windows slam shut, startling you. Your mom noticed your flinch and leaned closer to the screen. "What was that?"
You looked at the closed window, then went over to prop it open again. “It’s just the wind, Mama. It’s pretty gusty even with the chilly weather.”
Her eyebrows knitted together. "Why do you have your window open at night? You never know when a burglar might come in and cause havoc!" You chuckled, giving her a playful look. “Mom, I live in the middle of the building. Who's going to climb up here?”
“Aigo, talking back to your mother now? What if something happens to you? You’re thousands of miles away! What if—”
Before she could finish, your father’s face appeared on the screen, gently pushing her aside. “Hey, my lovely flower, how are you?”
“I’m doing great, Papa. Did you get your maintenance done?” You heard him shush your mom as she continued fretting about your safety. He rolled his eyes with a raised eyebrow. “Honey, she lives in the middle of the building. How would that even work?”
“They could use ropes like in the movies!” she insisted.
You laughed loudly, unable to take her anxiety seriously. You adored your mom and her overprotectiveness, always listening to her concerns, but you knew when to brush them off. Your dad often reminded you that it was just her anxiety talking, and there was no need to worry too much.
You chuckle loudly, not being able to take your mother’s eeriness seriously. You adore her and her overprotectiveness, you also always listen to her concerns and such but to this point, you always brush it off as your father always updates you that it is because of her anxiety that speaks and that you have nothing to think much more about.
As you speak to your father, a sliver yet translucent hand hovers the window of your room before vanishing like glitter being blown off from the hands into the winter of the night.
“Second,” she looks at you then back to the book, “Do not whistle at night.”
You bid the cafe owner a soft thank you as you push the door open to exit with your paper bag full of bread. The cafe is different as it is called a ‘midnight cafe’ almost similar to a convenience store but sells bread and biscuits and other pastries instead. The owner is a friend of your neighbor, somehow meeting them whenever you come home and crossing paths with them on the street as they close.
“Here baby … I’m here, mommy’s here.” You heard a cry of a mother, though by the looks of it, it is someone around your age or older or younger but nevertheless, they were crouching down as if looking for something. Perhaps, a pet if it's that low of a posture if finding a child. You walked past her though, you felt a grip on your elbow and the face of a woman came into your view.
Her eyes were shaking, red with tears in the corner already giving away with her wet eyelashes— her pet must have been missing for almost an hour. With your other arm being preoccupied with the paperbag of pastries, “Have you seen a black cat? He has a sharp pointy ear and white tail on the end of their tail?”
You felt your stomach falling as her eyes were brimmed with tears as her eyes swell with tears again and a small intake of air— her heart must be breaking and hope falling as she sat down on the sidewalk, hands on her face as she cried. You start to worry and gain a little bit of lookers as they hear her softly sobbing.
You retreated a little bit before entering your apartment. You know deep down looking for a black cat at this time is like looking for a needle inside the hay, although this could be a little helpful as they could respond to the voice of their owner.
But seeing the situation, it must have focused on something that tunes out the voice of their owner.
Placing down your paper bag, you open the window of your living room and turn on the television as a background noise while you create dinner. You were patient with stirring when the television suddenly glitches then switching to the news channel about an idol being in a critical condition, almost showing no recovery. You frowned, turning around.
“—The doctors have spoken about showing heart rate increase as a sign of recovery. They spoke about the patient having the normal rate for the past year and half that today, marks a new sign for them and hope. This is Rachel Lee, reporting from JYP entertainment.”
You shake your head, not really knowing about the issue nevertheless anything with the life of celebrities. They may have the talents but the job is considering the whole life aspect draining. You find it amusing yet concerning as this really took toll on most idols who live, including this one although it is more in nature accident. You hear about this idol and their group travelling back from their shoot and rain came pouring down, pulling on a pit stop until a delivery eight-trailer truck pulled up behind them and crashed on them.
Four of them were severely injured although being able to recover a year later except for one of their members. They have been unresponsive. Never made a sign.
“Meow” Your ears perked up as you ate the dish you made. You look over the small counter towards the view of your living room, your television is on a drama not a cat show unless there was but it is in an intense fighting scene.
“Meow.” You stood up, placing your spoon down as you navigate your living room. You looked under the couch, the coffee table, behind the plants and the television until you heard a small ‘mew’ near the window and you were met with a feline. It’s head peeking from above. Your eyes widen, staring at the cat before hurriedly walking towards the window and poking your head out to examine it better.
It is indeed a cat, a black one. It seems to be resting on the small space above your window. You frown, looking around to look for an open window but you see none, your eyes return to the cat who had his head tilted to the side, curious about you. You notice the tail wagging side to side, almost noticing the color at the end of the tail.
You tried to lure in the cat, pursuing your lips together to make a small pitch kissing sound to call but the cat only meowed. You were growing anxious as it rested comfortably on top though it could still be caught by the small terrace but it is still not safe.
Pursuing your lips again, a small whistle came out of your lips and the cat jolted up and meows before jumping down on your open arms, “Oh my gosh! You're scared!”
You walk back inside your living room not being able to comprehend a presence nearing you, reaching out for you— fingers grazing on your back but you were so focused on the cat in your arm.
“... help me.”
“And last,” you look at your mother, “there’s only three?” She nodded.
“Yes, they said that humans tend to be easy to lure.” You nodded, glancing at the book again to check what is the last on the list, “Okay, the last is do not pick up any lost coins you find in the streets or anywhere.”
You had just clocked out of work, waving at your co-workers as you headed toward the bus station. The bus arrived on time, and you thought it would be a smooth ride home until you found yourself stuck behind an elderly grandfather at the tap card machine. His card balance was low, and he fumbled with his wallet, pulling out a handful of coins to pay.
It took a while making the driver grumble impatiently, the elderly was pressured, and just as he was almost done, one of the coins slipped from his hands and rolled outside, coming to a stop against a bench on the sidewalk.
“Hey ajussi, if you’re gonna count more might as well wait for the next bus.” You frowned, not liking the attitude. You finally stepped forward and offered to pay for the grandfather, handing the driver the fare with as much as a polite nod before guiding the elderly on the seats. He thanks you for being patient and tries to pay for your fee but you decline his offer and keep it instead, for his grandson.
Later, as you walked back to your apartment, you noticed a coin glinting on the pavement—a won. You hesitated, tempted to pick it up and add it to your coin jar, which you’d been slowly filling to the brim, planning to cash it in someday. You bite your lip, tempted before you stomp towards it and pick it up and cheer softly.
As you walk towards your apartment room, you notice how the hallways become longer and colder. Unlike whenever you pass down here it is lively with the sunset color of the side lamps. Your pace slowed when you were nearing your room. You only now realized how the temperature seems to drop just in front of your room.
Your hand hovers the knob, it is almost like it's biting on your skin and you move to twist it and enter your room. It is not out of exaggeration when you feel a shiver run down your spine when you step inside. You pulled your coat tighter around you as you placed down your bag and turned on the heater, although with it running it still felt cold.
That is until you felt something staring at you from the corner of your living room. It felt as if someone was standing, staring at your every move. You felt all of the hair on your body standing up as you stared at the lurking figure on the corner. Your irises shrunk, your entire skin was now shaking and your insides were churning as you do notice it is moving.
Towards you.
You were frozen, in fear. You watch it in fear as it nears you and actually stops a few feet away from you. When the moonlight finds an angle and shone your dark apartment room, you are met, instead of a horrifying face, you are met with an actual human face.
A familiar face.
“Hi, sorry for intruding in your home, it’s really been hard for me to find people nowadays that still have this what they call a third eye and somehow I stumble upon you. At first I thought you were just a normal person— please I do not judge— but yeah you match the match of this ajumma that helps me that could help me in going back to my body. I’m Jongho, by the way.”
“WHAT THE FU—!”

“Yah! Choi San, c’mon it’s the time for the Choi Brothers’ song to make us all cry and start this damn karaoke night!” Wooyoung said loudly as soon as San entered the booth with a puzzled look and smile on his lips. “Why you like that?”
“San-ah, c’mon I already selected IU’s ‘Dear Name’, what are you—” Yunho stops watching San with the same curious look that Wooyoung was giving him. “What happened?”
“Jongho-ah!” San calls for his little brother who quickly turns to look at him puzzled, making San smirk a little. “What’s that friend of yours name? The one you were basically joined to the hip until like middle school when they switched schools and you two lost contact?”
Jongho froze for a moment. “Which friend are you talking about?”
“Oh, they were cute! Where are they now?”
Mingi chimes in trying to see where San was heading, but his eyes were focused on Jongho, the smirk still there noticing how his little brother tried to downplay the whole thing. The others quickly started to notice San had valuable information, and bringing you into the conversation was not without a reason. Seonghwa was quick to join in the teasing.
“Oh I remember them! They were so cute, and how they got all shy when we joined both of them was so adorable,” the boys started to chuckle, some more obvious than others, watching Jongho trying to act as if the subject of you didn’t affect him one bit. “Makes me wonder though, have you truly lost contact with them?”
“Weren’t they like… your ultimate crush but you were too much of a chicken to say something?”
“No, remember, he was set on the fact they had a crush on San, not him.”
Yunho said back to Wooyoung and the guys all laughed at Jongho’s eye roll. “It’s not like that, they—”
“So you finally admit they liked you and you were too much of a chicken?”
Hongjoong chimed in, Yeosang followed after him.
“Are you going to deny you had a crush on them or are you still in denial that they had a crush on you?”
“You people are the worst,” he said, shaking his head before looking back at San, considerably annoyed. “Why are you even bringing them up? It’s been ages and —”
“I think they are here and that they recognized me while I was paying for our time in the karaoke,” San said simply with a small smirk. “I think it doesn’t take a genius to know they’d probably recognize you. I mean… if you still want to be friends with them, of course…”
“They won’t remember me,” Jongho’s words were quick, stern but the boys knew the youngest well enough to know there was a hint of hope in his words. “And how are you sure they remember you? Just because (y/n) had a crush on you—”
“(y/n)!” The boys all celebrated as Jongho said your name before San turned back to Jongho with a knowing smile. “Also, just because you think they had a crush on me, doesn’t mean they did… but let’s play your game, shall we?” The boys chuckled as Jongho kept rolling his eyes as San observed his younger brother. “If, like you said, they remember me because you assume I was their crush… why wouldn’t they remember you who was their best friend for years? Care to explain that logic?”
The other six all observed the exchange with smirks and curious glances.
“Are we gonna do karaoke or not?”
“Oh, right, I forgot I asked for a few things, do you mind picking it up with me bro? It will make it easier and faster… unless… you are scared to meet with your lovely crush— I mean… friend, (y/n).”
Jongho rolled his eyes once more at San’s comment and the others snickering. He was terrified of seeing you again after all these years. Would you still remember him? Would you say hello to him? Would you hug him? Would you ignore him? Would you act like you acted with San and kinda show you know each other even if from a distance? Would you—
“He’s a chicken, he won’t do it.”
“Shut up, Mingi. Let’s go and end this, hm?” He headed to the door opening up and looking back at San with the door open who still had a smirk and raised eyebrows. The boys knew how to push Jongho’s buttons, but when it involved you, San was the expert at it. “What you asked?”
“A few bottles of soju and some snacks… why?” The older Choi said as both brothers headed to the eating area to get everything. San chuckled as he noticed Jongho looking around curiously while trying to remain unseen. “What are you gonna do when they recognize you?”
“Hm?”
“(y/n)... What are you gonna do when they recognize you?”
Jongho scoffed trying to downplay the situation. “Why are you so sure they’ll recognize me? It’s been years, San, it’s not like—”
“Oh, San, hello again,” how long has it been since he heard your voice? It didn’t matter, because the second he heard your voice, he knew he had ever forgotten, nor had his heart, “Jon–Jongho?”
Jongho felt San elbow his side, as the younger Choi raised his head meeting your gaze. He had to hold his jaw tight so it wouldn’t meet the floor. You were just as gorgeous as you were previously, only… more. Your smile widened as you recognized him, you had recognized him, right? He wasn’t imagining things, you—
“I see you got my suggestion…” San’s words woke Jongho up, he felt a stir in his stomach at his brother’s smile towards you, which you nodded with a shy smile of your own, one Jongho had seen many times when San was around. Did you still have a crush on San? “But that’s too little, where are your friends?”
“Oh, they had to leave, we had already used our paid time, and another group had booked the booth so yeah… and I was still hungry, so I decided to come and pick a few things before I leave and—”
“You are leaving?” Jongho said quickly, almost desperately. You looked at him confused and a bit surprised, while San held back a smile and a laugh at his younger brother’s reaction. “I—I mean, we—”
“Why don’t you come with us to our booth? We wouldn’t mind reconnecting with an old friend, if you have nothing better to do, that is.”
You pondered for a moment looking between San and Jongho who was trying to keep his cool after seeing you after all these years.
“You sure it’s okay if I join in?”
“Yeah, we are still the same group as before, you remember the guys right?” San commented with a small smile, noticing how you noticed Jongho’s nervous behavior. “Look, everyone will be happy to have you around, like the old days when you’d always visit our house and we would all hang out, right?”
It was true, at least in a way. But it had been years now, and Jongho didn’t seem much of a fan of the thought. “Jongho… you okay with that?”
His mind went haywire.
He never thought he’d hear you call his name ever again.
But here you were, looking at him with your worried eyes and all the feelings he thought he had long forgotten had returned full force.
“Wh-why would you think I’m not okay with that?”
San looked between the two of you with an amused smirk, watching what you would answer back. “Maybe because you are dead quiet and not even meeting my eyes?”
San’s chuckle — which he quickly disguised as a cough — woke Jongho up, at least in a way.
“I— Sorry, it’s just… I’m still processing seeing you after all these years. I didn’t mean to come off as rude or anything of sorts, it's just… It’s been a while…”
“I know, I told San the same thing when we met a few minutes back,” you saw Jongho look at San with a death stare making you chuckle a little noticing San planned this out. “I see… well, if the others don’t mind me joining in, I don’t mind it either so—”
“Good, Jongho will show you back to the booth while I take a few of the drinks and snacks and the employee helps me bring the rest.”
The look on Jongho’s eyes was confirmation that San had planned this all out. You didn’t truly believe San when he said they were all there, that he remembered you, or that Jongho was there and would be happy to see you. San was still the same guy as before, making ways for you and Jongho to always be close to each other, and you were positive that San realized you still harbored feelings for his younger brother from the small look he send your way as Jongho lead you back to the booth that the other six were too.
As soon as you entered, the booth exploded with voices, each of the boys coming to you and hugging you. Jongho was quick to take your food and drink away so you could hug the other six guys as he took a seat in the corner observing everything while trying to calm his racing heart. You were even more beautiful than before, how was that even possible?
Your childhood features were almost gone, but you still held that same aura you always had. Kind, loving, sweet. Your smile was still the same, your eyes squinting as you laughed at something the boys had said, the way you hugged each and everyone, the way you looked at everyone as if they were the only people in the room, but it was when your eyes met his and you gave him his smile, the smiled that was reserved only to him, was when he realized he was fucked. Royally fucked.
He had never gotten over you.
He had never forgotten you.
And here you were again, making his heart race at your mere presence.
As soon as the door opened and San entered with one of the employees, your shy demeanor came back and Jongho’s heart almost broke. It was the same reaction you always had around San. Did your crush on his older brother remain? You acted normal with the others, and yet with San… You acted all shy and cute…
Jongho knew San always got the most attention, the most girls, the best grades, he was just that good. But you always saw Jongho, he was never in San’s shadow… Until middle school, when you started to change around San, when his brother started to give you more attention. Of course he would, you had changed, you were getting prettier, you were catching people’s attention, of course his brother would see you.
He was never afraid of losing you to San, not until that time.
It didn’t matter if San or the others said you didn’t see any of them like that.
Jongho knew you thought they were handsome, he heard you deny other girls trying to get to San through you, why would you deny that if you weren’t interested in his brother?
“You still have the same face and ticks when you are thinking you know?” Your voice brought Jongho back to the reality of the situation. They weren’t in middle school anymore, they were all in university, in a karaoke booth celebrating the end of midterms. His eyes met your soft smile as you took a seat beside him. “I told San not to do any of this, but… You know your brother he—”
“Will do whatever he wants—”
“Thinks it’s right,” you cut Jongho after he cutted you. You knew the Choi brothers had a good relationship, but you also knew Jongho hated being in San's shadow and hated how San was good at everything on a first try, how he could get away with pretty much everything. “Guess he’s not right about everything, then…”
The way your voice broke was the same sound of Jongho’s heart breaking. As you started to get up, he held your wrist, firmly but gently. “Sorry, I just… It’s been so long and… I hate how he—”
“Cornered you, I know,” you chuckle softly sitting back beside Jongho, smiling even more as you finally see a smile from him towards you. “I told him not to do it, but he also said you wouldn’t come out and talk to me on your own, but that you’d be happy to see me… So far only one of the things is not adding up…”
“It’s not that I’m not happy to see you, it’s just…”
“It’s been too long, yes. And we both changed and maybe we did end things a bit rushed and lost contact when I had to move to live with my father after my parents divorced, but now I’m here, I’m back in the same city as you, a lot changed, I changed, you changed… but… when I realized we were in the same city, that you two were here and going to same university I was… I kinda wished to reconnect with you again. You were my best friend, bear.”
“Hey, don’t do that! That’s a low blow and you know it!” He chuckled as you shrugged with a smirk on your lips, making his heart melt a little. You were right, everything was different and maybe he was looking too much into things, maybe his inner child was stopping him from doing everything, scared of losing you again in more ways than one. “I’m sorry, okay? Can we start again?”
“Can you get up and give me a hug?”
Without a second thought he got up from his seat, you followed quickly behind and hugged him by the neck while his arms went around your waist pulling you flushed against him as he hid his face on the crook of your neck. God he missed this. It was like his heart was mending in a way he never thought it had been broken, just by being like this with you.
“I missed you, my little star.”
He whispered back into your ear, making you smile and kiss his temple tenderly, “I missed you, my baby bear.”
The other seven were ‘secretly’ observing everything, while opening the snacks and drinks. San had a knowing smile on his lips as he observed your and Jongho’s interaction. He knew you two liked each other, he had found out you liked his little brother while surprising you one day, catching you writing yours and Jongho’s initials on a piece of paper, he was the only one that knew your secret. While with Jongho, he caught a song lyric his baby brother had written that had the nickname he used only with you, your name written down in a corner with a small heart and a date.
San had always tried to make you two end up together, he knew you two belong together. Like two peas in a pod. He just had to make sure the two of you realized that.

“Why are girls so hard to figure out?” San whined as he, Jongho and Yeosang were walking in the music building.
“Are you saying that… you are having girl problems?” Yeosang laughed as he saw San roll his eyes, Jongho chimed in shaking his head. “What? She’s not giving you the attention you want?”
“She’s not fawning over you as if you were a Greek God like most girls?”
“Shut up you two!” Both boys were pushed by San, but he kept a small smile on his lips. As his eyes focused on Jongho once more, an idea formed in his mind. All the boys knew that you and Jongho had gotten considerably close, almost as close as you were when you two were younger, but there was still a barrier, that they were certain it was mostly on Jongho’s side. “You should help your brother, why don’t you ask (y/n) about it? How to catch a girl’s attention? I tried everything… I sent flowers, I sent her chocolate, I got a few things I heard she liked, and she keeps dismissing me and just thanking me and not properly talking to me…”
“Why you think (y/n) will know? Are they friends or something?”
“It would definitely help if they are… maybe you can even go on double dates,” Yeosang laughed as San looked amused by the idea while Jongho seemed to dread it. “That’s something I’d pay to see, it would be fun.”
“Say for yourself…”
“Yah! You should help your brother, not make my life difficult…”
“Because you help make my life easier?”
San nodded as if offended that Jongho would think like that. “What do you think I’ve been trying to do for the past few weeks?” Yeosang kept quiet observing, he and the others promised San not to tell Jongho he was secretly trying to get his baby brother and you to see you belong together, and yet apparently nothing was working, specially on Jongho’s end. He would always make excuses. “You know… You should put yourself out there, I’m getting tired of your grumpy ass, I thought once you get close with (y/n) once more you’d be more yourself… Why you holding back so much?”
“San is right you know?” Yeosang chimed in as both saw Jongho rolling his eyes ready to protest San’s statement. “You two were best friends, but you barely talk to her, only when you two bump with each other, you make excuses not to see them, but when you two are together you are the happiest… What’s up with that?”
“I’m not avoiding them…”
“Keep lying to yourself,” San said, a bit annoyed that Jongho kept denying. “Crap, I have to go, promised Yunho I’d go by the choreography with him, see you guys later and Jongho… Get it together man, you missed them a lot, you finally have them back, don’t push them away from being a dick.”
“Yah! I’m not—” he didn’t have time to protest as San ran towards the dancing building, “not being a dick…”
“Yeah you are…,” Yeosang said plain and simple, making Jongho curse and look at the older friend annoyed. “Are you scared you’ll fall for them all over again?”
“...Maybe,” begrudgingly Jongho admitted, looking down to his feet as the two of them kept walking. Yeosang was his closest friend from the friend group, he could trust him, right? “They are just… It’s like nothing changed but so much has changed! And they got even prettier, it’s like torture to my heart whenever I’m with them. And then you and the others chime in and they become this shy thing that’s so adorable but also… Why are they becoming shy? You really want me to believe they don’t have a crush on any of you?”
“They don’t.” Yeosang said firmly, with such certainty that made Jongho stop and look at him a bit taken aback. “They don’t like us like that. They like us as friends, they get shy because we are not that close, because they don’t want to intrude, because they say we are your friends.”
“But with San—”
“San is a tease,” once again Yeosang cut Jongho, “he is a tease and he know how to push (y/n)’s buttons, but he just wants them to get comfortable, and for the two of you to stop being so stiffen with each other… He’s the one that knows them best after you, but they don’t like San, they never did. It doesn’t matter what you think or want to believe, they don’t like San, they never did…”
“So why do they always cut girls that come to them to get with San?”
“Wouldn’t you stop people wanting to get friendly with you to get with a friend?” Jongho thought for a second. “(y/n) is a shy and private person, they always were, they have few and close friends, and they know how San and you get annoyed by all the girls trying to get his attention, they value yours and his friendship more than anything… I know that because I saw them doing it and asked about it a few days back.”
“Okay, but—” Jongho is stopped by a ping on his phone, which he quickly picks up with a text from you. “They… texted me…”
“What do they want?”
you: hey, jjong! you on campus? if yes, which building?
jjong 🐻: yeah, i’m on campus. music building, why?
you: oh, you in class? sorry, forget it!
jjong 🐻: no no no! you good! jjong 🐻: what do you need? i’m not in class.
you: it’s nothing important, i just forgot my water bottle in class. you: i can go search for it after i’m done at the library, i don’t wanna bother you.
“Go get their water bottle.”
“What? Why–”
“Jongho, they texted you to get a water bottle… that means they want you to get that bottle and bring it to them. Get. The. Water. Bottle.” Yeosang said quickly. “Stop overthinking, be you around them. They keep apologizing for disturbing you because you are avoiding them whenever you can. They are your best friend, get it together!”
“It’s not that simple, Yeo—”
“Because you still like them.” Jongho kept quiet, not denying it, but not confirming. “Do you want to lose them again?”
“The fuck? Of course not! I just got them back!”
“Then start acting like you actually want to be around them, because as of now you are losing them all over again, and this time will be totally your fault. Tell them you’ll get the water bottle and will bring it to the library, and start acting like their best friend. Things changed, yes, but they haven’t! Me and the guys have seen you two together, it’s like a damn time travel tunnel. So stop overthinking or you’ll lose them.”
Yeosang kept looking sternly to Jongho who sighed knowing his best friend was right.
“Sometimes I hate you.”
“Only when you know I’m right.”
Both laughed as Jongho typed back to you:
jjong 🐻: which room is it? is it that galaxy water bottle you’ve been obsessed with?
you: hey! don’t call me out for being obsessed about something! you: … but yes, it’s that one. you: class is 157 in block C of the Lit building, thank you, bear! 🤎
jjong 🐻: be there in a bit. jjong 🐻: you at the library right? the one in the Lit building?
you: yeah, you’ll see me at the tables, i have this paper due to the end of the week.
jjong 🐻: got it, don’t worry, i’ll get your bottle. see you in a bit star 💛
A small smile formed on your lips as Jongho said he’d pick the water bottle and bring it back to you at the library, your heart racing momentarily at the thought of seeing him once more. The knowing smile on San’s lips and the other boys whenever you and Jongho were together kept popping in your mind, were you being obvious? San was the only one that knew about your crush, but now apparently all the other six knew it too… except Jongho. You didn’t know if you were grateful for it or not.
In all honesty, you thought he did considering how weird he’d act on occasion with you, even if he agreed to reconnect and being friends again, sometimes you thought he was avoiding you, so when he agreed to pick your water bottle you were more than happy, that meant he wasn’t fully avoiding you, right? The phone was put face down at the table as you shook your head trying to focus on the things you needed for your paper — that was pretty much done, luckily.
“Hey, star,” Jongho’s voice woke you up after a while, your water bottle on his hands as a small smile appeared on his lips as he placed the bottle at the table. “Guess this belongs to you.”
"Oh, hey Jjong," You smiled softly at him, your eyes falling on your water bottle before going back to his face as you tried to keep your heart rate balanced. "Thank you for picking the bottle, I'm sorry if I troubled you, and I do owe you, you saved my day tomorrow from having to stay on the Lost & Found hoping to find it"
Jongho’s heart fluttered as he saw your smile. You were so effortlessly beautiful it was painful. Warmth spread across his chest as you thanked him, apologizing for disturbing him, making him realize Yeosang was probably right… He was being an ass and you were probably weary around him. He decided to push his worries away and act like himself around you regardless. He preferred having you smiling at him, close to him, allowing him to smell your perfume, to touch your skin, even if platonically then to lose you again.
He never wanted to lose you.
Never again.
“No need to apologize, it was no trouble at all. I was in the Music building for a project, and the building is not that far away from the Lit one, and I could use a bit of cardio you know?” Both chuckled and he felt his chest flutter at the sound of your sweet laugh. He looked around noticing you were alone at the table as you stretched your hand to get the bottle. He pointed down to your notes, eyeing both notes and books spread around the table. “Are you… studying alone?”
You nodded, picking your water bottle. “Ah, yeah… My study partner had an emergency call in another project and bolted,” you chuckled softly before looking at your water bottle with a small pout. “Oh… maybe I should fill this up, forgot it’s pretty much empty…”
Jongho chuckled at your words glancing down at the water bottle, his gaze softening as he noticed your pout as he extended his hand grabbing the bottle back. “Don’t worry, I’ll fill it up for you.”
“You sure you don’t mind? You already had the trouble to bring it to me here… I don’t want to abuse your good will or anything,” you said genuinely worried although there was a hint of joke in your words.
His heart skipped a bit, amused by your concern. You have always been sweet and considerate, worried about what everyone thought, wanting everyone to be comfortable, even if at your expense, which was something he noticed that never changed even after all these years. He waved his hand dismissively, shaking his head and grabbing the bottle back. “It’s not abuse, I don’t mind doing it at all. I’ll be right back.”
Jongho got to the water fountain quickly, filling the water bottle and watching the water fill it in a smooth stream. As he waited for it to fill, his mind was buzzing with thoughts. He was alone with you. You were studying alone, and he had an almost perfect opportunity to spend some more time with you. He had an almost perfect opportunity to just talk and spend time with you, like he’d been missing for such a long time. Finally, the water bottle filled, and he began to head back over to you, a little nervous but eager nonetheless.
Soon, he made it back to the table, bottle in hand, and sat down in the empty chair beside you, setting the refilled water bottle in front of you. “There you go, all refilled and good to go,” he said with a smile, hoping that you wouldn’t mind how he sat in the empty seat. A soft smile on his lips as he watched you, his eyes lingering on your lips for a moment.
"Thanks Jjong, guess you still are the gentleman I knew you were," you jokingly teased him, taking a sip of the water before reorganizing a few things to give him more space to stay there.
A small chuckle left his lips at your words, finding it slightly endearing that you’d joked with him. He smiled as you moved a few things around so that he had more room. It was almost like an invitation for him to stay longer, and he was certainly not going to turn it down. His smile grew wider at the thought that maybe you wanted him to stick around as much as he did. You were never to voice your wishes, it was always subtle, like moving your things to make space for someone.
A small streak of confidence hit him, pushing a bit of the overthinking away. His back hitting the back rest of the chair as he kept observing you going over the texts and notes. “So… what are you studying? Can I stay here and make you company or will I distract you?”
Distract, for sure, you said in your mind, as you turned smiling softly at Jongho, deciding to play it off. “Why? You planning on distracting me?”
Jongho felt a bit shy, but laughed it off shaking his head a little. “Okay, fair… But why you studying here? You liked studying in your room…”
“True, but… I’m living in the dorms, and it’s always so loud there, you know me and noises don’t go well together, so here is the second best place,” you shrugged looking back at the books’ spine to pick the information you needed to put on the bibliography of your paper.
A small nod was given by Jongho, he knew you were easily distracted and annoyed by constant noises, he could barely hold a small nostalgic smile as his mind reminded him of all the times you two studied together during school. You were so distracted by your assignment that you barely noticed him leaning his chin on his hand as he observed you. Barely, being the key word, as you turned your head to the side trying to hide your tinted pink cheeks from his intense gaze.
A small thought reaching Jongho’s mind at that memory, making him lazily pick a pen and twist it on his fingers, trying to act casual. “Don’t you get lonely studying alone? I remember you always liked to study together… Maybe we can pick up on that once more… If you want, of course.”
Your head tilted back to look at Jongho with a small smirk. “Are you offering to have your place as my study partner back, Choi Jongho?”
A light blush crept on Jongho’s face as you looked back at him with a small smirk. He chuckled lightly, heart racing as he kept the pen twirling on his fingers, even if it faltered a little, falling back at the table making him sheepishly scratch the back of his head and pretended it wasn’t him, when a lot of people looked over to see from where the sound came from. A muffled chuckle coming out from you, making him even more shy as he pondered how to best answer you.
“I mean… If you want me, I’d be happy to keep you company… you know… like we used to do in school…”
“And where would that happen? I’ve never seen you in the library before…”
He tilted his head a little. “That’s because I prefer my room, or the music room, for acoustics and all, you know.”
“Are you staying in a dorm too, or are you sharing a house with San and the others?”
“Oh, no, we are all at the dorms, it’s easier, a house would be too expensive…” he scratched the back of his head once more pondering a question. “So… which dorm are you in?”
“Halazia dorm, you?”
His eyes widened, you were in the Halazia dorm? “Same, I-I mean… Halazia dorm,” he chuckled as your eyes also widened along with your mouth opening, surprised. “Ah… which floor are you on?”
“Seventh, you?”
“Which room?”
“1027…”
“1035,” he said quickly, smiling at you, realizing not only you two were in the same dorm, the same floor, but your doors were across each other. “Yeosang, San and Mingi are on this floor as well… If you ever hear any of the parties, it is definitely Mingi’s room, likely.”
You laughed at the thought, feeling nervous that you were living across from each other but never actually seen each other after all the time you’ve been in uni. “Well… that explains the amount of ‘walks of shame’ I see on that floor on a daily basis. Should I expect someone doing the ‘walk of shame’ from your bedroom too?”
“Why? Will you patronize me if it ever happens?”
You pretended to ponder for a bit, trying to hide the small pang on your chest at his words. Jongho was single, good looking, smart, with the voice of an angel, polite, respectful, a gentleman… Of course he’d have girls after him and bring some to his room, you couldn’t be mad at him for it. Even if your heart broke at the thought and image in your mind. “Why would I? You are an adult, single, good looking, you can have sex with whoever you want…”
“I mean… true, but I thought… I don’t know…” He turned sheepish as a thought came to his mind. “Should I wait for someone doing the ‘walk of shame’ out of your room?”
Your eyes widened a little, blush creeping on your cheeks as you avoided Jongho’s stare.
“I… don’t really mess around, I prefer a serious thing over one night stand, so… not on my end.”
“Good,” he said before he could hold back, making you blush even more, a small smile appearing on his lips as he noticed the reaction he had on you. “I mean… Good because you know what you want, you know? And… I’m like that too, one night stands aren’t really my thing, I prefer a connection, someone I can be comfortable with, that will see me for me and stick around, you know?”
Your eyes met his, a secret shared between both stares but apparently the message could never reach each other. Even if both could see the care and longing in the other's eyes, the main sentiment was lost in the middle. Your stomach bursted with butterflies from the way Jongho was looking at you, while his confidence grew a little as he saw his words affected you. Maybe, just maybe… you saw him as more? Should he take a leap of faith?
“I–I should put these books back, it’s getting late…,” you said, picking your phone to check the time, seeing it was already early at night. Ignoring Jongho’s eyes while trying to calm your heart rate, you got up fixing the books.
Jongho noticed your reaction, biting his lip for a moment, disappointed for losing the eye contact he had with you. As he watched you rushly pick up the books, an idea popped in his head, making him quickly stand up beside you, stepping closer, his chest almost touching your shoulder.
“Hey let me help you, it will be faster if I help you…,” swiftly, he took the books from the table, taking it in his arms, your hands brushing slightly against each other momentarily making a shiver run down his spine, his body still inches from yours as he glanced down at the books in his arms. “So… where are these supposed to go?”
“So… these are on those three shelves beside each other, c’mon,” you quickly motioned him to follow you, being careful so he wouldn't trip or hit his shoulder on the shelves. In swift motions you quickly placed all the books, leaving only two behind as you picked them and headed to a far end shelf. “These ones are around here…”
Jongho was always close behind you, observing and caring for every edge of the shelf that you could possibly get hurt accidentally. As the last shelf came into place, you quickly tiptoed to place one book on an upper shelf, almost losing your balance. “Here, let me.”
Your skin burned under your shirt as you felt Jongho's hand on your back, before he took the book from your hand to place it at the spot you were trying to put, but his hand never left your body, moving from your back to your waist. Your head felt heavy and light at the same time, you could feel his perfume filling your lungs, you could feel his firm but gentle hand against your skin — even through the clothes.
As he looked back at you, you came back to your reality trying to find the spot for the last book on your hand, as you moved a little to place in a lower shelf, ignoring how the fact of Jongho's hand keep lingering on your body made you feel like you were on fire. “Okay, this is the last one, we should—,” you lost your balance as you turned quickly to head back to the tables, Jongho’s hands quickly going to your waits steadying you, your hand moved to his bicep, squeezing it lightly as you felt his hands squeezing your waist back. You two were close, closer than ever in a long time. “We— ah… We should go back to the dorms, it's getting late."
Cold, that's all you felt as you pushed yourself away from Jongho heading back to the table to get your things. As he saw you moving back to the table, he woke up from his epiphany, close behind you. “Yeah, you’re right it is getting late… we should head back…” He followed you close by, watching as you walked back to the table to gather your things and not forgetting the water bottle this time around, heading to open the door for you to exit the library, as he calmed his racing heart.
“Jongho being a gentleman? What happened? Did the talk do something to you?” You joked walking past him with a light chuckle, watching as he closed the door, walking beside you bumping you with his shoulder with a smirk on his lips.
“Hey, I’m always a gentleman with you! Always been and always will be.”
“True… Your father always made sure you and San were raised to be gentlemen… Guess all the scolding paid off, since you two have girls fawning over the both of you all over university,” you tried your best to act nonchalant as you two kept walking, your eyes focused on the ground as a memory popped up in your mind, making you smile. “Remember what your father used to say: men are supposed to be warriors for the women who are their princesses." You smiled fondly. "Your house was the only place I felt like a princess, and beside you as well when we were younger…"
At your words, memories quickly flooded his own mind, of you being in his house, always pampered and protected by his parents, and even San when it was just the three of you playing in the house. His eyes darted to you with fondness as you remembered the times you went to his house, the soft smile on your lips, the nostalgic look in your eyes. He wanted to hug you so badly right now, he wished he had cherished that first hug you two have after seeing each other. His head hangs low with a small chuckle.
“Yeah, I remember dad saying that a lot… and I guess it kinda stuck with me, especially the princess part,” he admitted, taking a few steps closer to you before speaking once more. “You were always a princess in my eyes though… and I still think you are… forever my little princess, my little star.” For a moment your mind went blank. Did he really just tell you that? In that tone? Did he not have an idea of how much that affected you? Of course he didn't, you never told him and you threatened San if he ever told Jongho you liked him. A small smirk appeared on Jongho’s lips as he saw your bashful expression. His voice dropped an octave as he leaned closer to you, in a slight teasing way. “You know, you may not believe me when I say you are my forever princess, but I can tell you are getting flustered…”
“Shut up,” you pushed him away from you, but barely had an effect, but Jongho amused you still, going a bit away from you. “It’s not that I don't believe you, I'm just not used to compliments, you know that.”
“Okay, right, sorry,” he apologized quickly, deciding to take a risk and take your hand in his, halting your movements, making you eye him curiously. A simple smile was all he gave you before getting closer to you. Both doing their best to ignore the tension between you two, the electric charge that ran through your bodies, how right it felt to have your hands intertwined again. “Can I have a hug?”
Your gaze softened as your heart tightened in your chest. If you thought too much you knew you'd find thousands of reasons not to do it. But it was your Jongho, your Jjong, your baby bear… And you couldn't say no to him, not when he looked at you like you were the only thing that mattered in this world. Without much thought you hugged him close, your arms around his shoulders, your lips on his shoulder as you cherished the feeling of Jongho's body against yours.
On the other hand, Jongho took a while to react, not really expecting you to hug him, but as soon as you pressed him against you, it was like muscle memory… His body relaxing in your embrace, his arms wrapping around you, pulling you close to him as he buried his face against the crook of your neck, breathing in your scent. Your shampoo was different, the perfume was too, but your real scent was still there, faintly mixed with the others, but his mind captured quickly.
“I forgot how good your hugs feel…”
“They are still yours to have,” you spoke softly against his shoulder, almost like a secret, feeling his arms tightening around your waist.
“I missed having them… I missed having you.” Jongho held you even tighter, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the feeling of your body against his, of having you in his arms after all these years, it was like time stopped for a moment, as if nothing had changed, all those years didn't pass by. If he tried really hard, he could probably hear your heart beat. “Have I… have I changed too much?”
“In what sense?” You pondered quietly while still hugging him. “Everyone changes Jjong, it is part of maturing… but if you are asking if I still see you as Jongho from when we were kids… I do still see him, even if masked by this man you've become.”
Jongho smiled, feeling a wave of relief wash over him as he heard you say that you could still the old him, it meant a lot, considering how much he was pushing you away until now, until he realized he needed you close, he needed you as a best friend, he wanted you forever with him.
“I don't know… I think I was scared you think I did, considering how I've been acting, and the guys keep saying I changed through the years… I just wanted you to still like me? It's stupid I know—”
“It's not,” you cut him off, “it's not stupid, and yeah you've changed, everyone does, it's what's expected at least,” you chuckled once more cupping his face, caressing his cheeks softly. “It's not because you changed that I'll see you differently, I can see my little bear still there.”
A smile formed on his lips, touched by your words. He knew he changed, and he was scared you wouldn't like him, the much he changed. He had grown more mature — if that was even possible —, he only let his playful side show with the people he trusted, his body changed too, he could now protect you, not that he couldn't before, but now he could do it properly.
“I think you are one of the few people who know me for real, you know? How I can be shy and introverted, but still playful and—”
“Witty? Sarcastic? Annoying?”
“Hey!, don't pretend you don't like it when I annoy you.”
“Never said I didn't like it, I was just listing your traits, bear,” you laughed walking a bit away from him, but still holding his hand in yours. “Guess that's the childhood friend perk, right?”
Jongho chucked, nodding in agreement, squeezing your hand as he let you guide him through the streets. “Yeah… best friends from childhood perk.”
His gaze kept fixated on you, a mix of affection and contemplation as you kept walking until you saw a convenience store, reminding yourself you should get yourself a few things to eat. “Oh! Jjong, do you mind if we stop? I'm kinda hungry and also needing to buy a few things, it's gonna be quick I promise, but you can go back to the dorms too it's —”
“It's fine, we can buy something to eat, I could use a snack too, lead the way.”
You smiled at his reassuring one as you headed to the store, letting go of his hand to push the door open and grab a basket to pick a few things. Jongho followed you close behind into the store, staying close by your side as you looked for a quick snack to grab. As you browse the store's food options, Jongho's gaze notices a few guys stealing glances at you, their eyes lingering on you for a bit too long, obviously checking you out. A hint of irritation builds on his stomach as he moves to cover you from their view, that you appear to have never even noticed.
But you did, you were used to it, you were a woman in a man's world, of course you’d be aware of your surroundings and of any guy or group of guys close by, you learned it was best to ignore them, so it came a little as a surprise when you notice Jongho gingerly move to your side, covering you from the view of that group, making your heart flutter a little, but unsure if he was aware or if you should address it, afraid you were looking too much into something that was not it.
Jongho kept following you through the snack section, his eyes still flickering around the store, observing the guys that were checking you out. He could tell that you hadn't noticed the looks they were giving you, or were you purposefully ignoring them? Either way, he didn't like the way those guys were looking at you. It made him feel protective, and it stirred a possessiveness within him, the mere thought that those guys could approach you for any reason didn’t sit right with him, but he couldn’t tell you that, you just now became close again, he had no right to say anything… right?
He stayed close to you, positioning himself slightly behind you, as if subtly shielding you from their gazes. As you continued to look for your snacks, Jongho kept an eye on the guys from afar. He could feel his annoyance growing as he watched them stare at you, their gazes almost undressing you with their eyes. He wanted to confront them, to tell them to back off and stop looking at you like that, but he held back, knowing that it wouldn't be a good idea to cause a scene here, and he knew you hated confrontation.
Instead, he took a small step closer to you, his body almost brushing against yours, as if he was subconsciously trying to claim you, to let those guys know that you were off limits, making you look at him curiously. A frown appeared on your face as you noticed his clenched jaw, how close he seemed, but still keeping a respectful distance, how he was mostly shielding you than anything else, the way he was alert to every little thing that wasn’t you. “You okay?”
Jongho quickly snapped out of his thoughts, realizing that you had noticed his closeness and his tense demeanor. He quickly relaxed his expression, forcing himself to act casually as he looked at you. "Yeah, I'm fine."
“You are lying,” you said simply observing him for a moment before grabbing a few more snacks. “Is it because of those guys?”
“Wait, you noticed them?” A simple nod was all you answered. “They have been staring at you since we entered the store, but you… kept acting normally and even came to this section… When did you notice them? Don’t their stares make you uncomfortable?”
“I noticed them when i entered this section, but I was already here, it would probably be suspicious if I moved afterwards. Plus, if I don’t acknowledge them, it’s pretty nill the chance they approach, and I’m with you…They probably think you are my boyfriend or something…”
You tried your best to act nonchalant, but you couldn’t help but wanting to see or hear Jongho’s reaction to you saying they thought he’d be your boyfriend. Would he freak out? Would he act the part? Would he keep acting naturally? Would he make sure he was just a friend? Would he try to play it off as a protective brother?
Jongho felt a pang of protectiveness hearing your nonchalant response. He didn't like the thought of you being used to men ogling you and being harassed. He wanted to tell you that you didn't have to just let it happen, that they should respect you more. In a streak of courage and wanting to comfort you somehow, he took the basket with one of his hands, as the other moved to hold the one that was previously holding the basket, looking at you tenderly. "I just… I don't like seeing them look at you like that. It… it makes me feel like I need to do something…"
"Like what? Fight them? It's pointless and will probably get you in trouble… and me saying something it's useless, men like that only respect other men…,” our words were quiet as you didn’t trust your own voice as you felt Jongho’s hand on yours, deciding to focus on getting the rest of the things you wanted, realizing he had no intend on letting go of your hand.
Not that you were complaining.
But he knew you were right. Picking a fight with those guys would only cause unnecessary trouble, and he knew that saying something wouldn't make a difference. He just hated the feeling of helplessness, knowing that you had to put up with that kind of behavior. "So what, we just do nothing? We just ignore them staring at you like you're some piece of meat?"
You wanted to laugh, but you simply smiled at him. Your heart is warm and fuzzy in your chest as you hear his words. "You already did," you commented with a small smile looking at him, chuckling when he looked at you confused. "First, you moved to cover me from their gaze, you already did something… and secondly… you are holding my hand, I’m pretty sure no one would be stupid to try anything.” You smiled at him shyly before looking away once more picking a few more random chocolates, just because.
"Oh... you noticed that, huh?" He chuckled nervously. "I didn't even realize I did it. I guess my protective instincts just kicked in automatically," he observed you once more, how you focused on things you wanted, how you kept holding his hand even after you basically called him out from doing so. That meant you didn’t mind it, right? “Are you… okay with me doing those things?”
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I? You are my best friend… If I can’t hold your hand from time to time to feel safe, what’s the point?” Jongho was silent for a moment, you were best friends, right… Since childhood, you thought he was just being protective because of that, which was in parts true, except, best friends don’t usually have their whole body aching to touch the other person, or the fluttering in his chest, or the butterflies in his stomach, or— “I’m done, should we go, or you want something else, bear?”
“Wha— Oh, no, I’m good, you sure you got everything you wanted?” Both your gazes fell on the half full basket, it was mostly sweets with a few salty snacks on the side.
“I’m sure, let’s go, there’s no one in line,” you quickly smiled at him before turning and heading to the cashier. You noticed as she perked up as she noticed the two of you approaching, noticing how she looked at Jongho, and how her expression fell as she saw the intertwined hands. Was it bad that you were happy that her expression fell? Considering you and Jongho were best friends, probably you should feel bad, but you pushed that thought aside, especially as you felt his hand squeeze yours, holding it to his as you made to pull away. “I kinda need my hand to pay, you know?”
The sound of the cashier passing the items filled your ears, but it quickly turned muffled as you looked back at Jongho, finding him already staring at you with a small smile on his lips, his thumb doing a light caress on the back of your hand. “Let me treat you. Please.”
“You want to pay for my groceries?”
“Yeah,” you looked at him like he had grown two heads, making him chuckle and step closer to you. “C’mon it’s nothing major, it’s just groceries, but I wanna do something nice for you… Also because I’ve been a dick to you a while back, I wanna make it up to you.”
“Let him pay,” you opened your mouth to protest, only to have the cashier tell you with a small smile, looking between the two of you before turning to Jongho. “Paying for the groceries is not enough, if you wanna be a good boyfriend and made up for what you did wrong you have to take her on a date or not let her lift a finger for at least the same amount of days you treated her poorly, which considering what I’m seeing, wasn’t as bad as you made it sound.”
The two of you chuckled as Jongho looked between you and the cashier confused, did you two know each other?
“He didn’t do anything that badly, don’t worry, he’s safe… for now,” you jokingly say as the cashier nodded with a smile, the both of you laughing as you saw Jongho a bit startled. Your hand squeezed his lightly with a small smile, leaving the path open so he could pay. “I still think you’ve done more than enough, but I won’t complain if that gets me free snacks.”
Jongho laughed looking at you softly before shaking his head, picking his wallet from his back pocket, his hand still holding yours like his life depended on it. The look the cashier gave you as she saw Jongho pulling the card made you blush a little, as you noticed she genuinely thought you two were a couple, and Jongho had probably done something he felt bad for it. A small flutter in your chest made you look away with your cheeks burning. Why were you enjoying this so much? All of it… Jongho’s attention, his hand on yours, him protecting you, people thinking he was your boyfriend.
“He’s a catch by the way, congrats on getting him,” she smiled at you knowingly as she handed you the groceries as Jongho put his wallet back in his pocket, swiftly moving to get the bags before you could get the heavier ones.
“I’m the lucky one to have her, not the other way around, goodnight.”
You were a bit shocked as he simply said that and led you away from the convenience store, but you could see a small lingering smile on his lips as you two walked in silence for a bit, hands still intertwined as you two headed back to your dorm.
“You don’t mind if she thought we were a couple?”
You finally built the courage to ask, but still couldn’t look at Jongho, but you felt his hand squeeze yours lighty.
“You didn’t look uncomfortable and… Technically you already said that those guys probably thought I was your boyfriend. I thought it wouldn’t cause any harm… Unless I made you uncomfortable, then —”
“No no!” You cut him quickly. “Sorry, no, I was actually scared it made you uncomfortable… I know how discreet you are and all…”
“I don’t mind, not when it’s you.”
Did he just say what he did?, that was what went over both your minds as you looked at each other, both a bit shy but still comfortable with each other. It was like the pieces were puzzling together, and it felt good.

“Oh, the baby decided to join us for once,” Wooyoung quickly says as soon as he sees Jongho entering Mingi’s room door, rolling his eyes. “What? (y/n) is too busy to give you attention?”
“It’s not like that… She’s stressed, and I know better than to get on her bad side when she’s like that, I still need my ears for class and such,” he closed the door sitting beside Yunho on one of the puffs on Mingi’s room. “What we talking about?”
“Mingi was telling about this girl he was seeing and how he took her to the arcade to, and I quote, ‘show his skills in the claw machine’...”
“But you have no skill…” Jongho quickly added looking at Mingi accusatory, making all the others laugh as Mingi just brushed it off.
“You all misunderstood, my skills with the claw, were what my lovely fingers can do, and I even got her a plushie so she can remember me and how good I am, okay? So I got my goal, you can mock me all you want, I’m getting laid while you are just fisting your hand thinking about your best friend.”
A choir of ‘ooooooh’s filled the room as Jongho just shook his head unaffected by Mingi’s words.
“Good things come for those who wait though…,” Yeosang chimed in with a half-warning tone to Mingi, as he exchanged a hi5 with Jongho.
“But Mingi did say something interesting—”
“Hey I always say something interesting, what you saying?”
San sighed ignoring Mingi, keeping his focus on Jongho. “You said (y/n) is stressed, didn’t you two were always at the arcade? What if you take them there? They can relieve stress, you two can get cozy—”
“They can see your skilled fingers…”
“MINGI!”
“What? IT WORKS OKAY?!”
“Anyways, I think it could work, it was something you two did constantly in middle school… just a thought baby brother.”
San raised his eyebrows to Jongho as he laid back resting his back on the wall behind him, with a small smirk to Jongho, who brushed it off, but already planning how to bring that subject with you, knowing it was definitely something that you liked and would help you relax, even if a little.

“C’mon star, just one!”
“Bear no! These things are a scam and you know it!” It didn’t matter your protests, Jongho still took your hand, leading you to the claw machines, his gummy smile was all it took for you to accept as he picked a coin putting you in front of it. “You are wasting your money, you know that right?”
“Money spent with you is never wasted, you know that, now go, pick a plushie,” your eyes wander through the machine trying to find an easy pick, setting your eyes in a bear plushie.
“That one, because it looks like you,” your smile grew as he rolled his eyes, “don’t give me that! You asked me to choose! I did, don’t give me that eye roll, you ass!”
“Right, right, my fault, you were only doing what I told you, true,” his gummy smile was back and you smiled back excitedly, even if you were certain you'd lose. “Okay, let’s go, I’ll put the coin, take your time!”
As soon as the coin entered, the machine lit it up, you quickly but steady — attempt of steady — moved the claw to where the bear plushie was, trying your best to place the claw on the right place to win the plushie. Surprise none as you got nothing, making you pout while Jongho laughed at your reaction.
“I told you it was a waste of money…”
“C’mon once more, just one, if you don’t get we can go get something else, hm?”
You pondered looking between Jongho and the machine, the small smile on his lips already knowing the answer as you nodded, getting ready to get the plushie once more, trying to trace the best approach to get it.
“You are an enabler of my bad behaviors.”
“I’m a believer in your abilities, it's different, now c’mon you’ll still be amazing if you don’t get that plushie,” his fingers quickly put the coin on the machine who lit up as you calmed down trying to get the plushie once more. As the claw grabbed part of the plushie, lifting, Jongho laughed wholeheartedly as you started to celebrate, only for your pout to get bigger as it fell just before reaching the deposit area. His arms quickly circled you, kissing your head in a comforting manner. “You did great, star, almost got the plushie!”
“But I wanted the plushie,” you kept pouting as you leaned on Jongho. “You try it! I already did the hard part, you can have two tries too, that’s fair, no?”
“You really want that plushie don’t you…?” You nodded with a small pout that turned into a smile as Jongho sighed. “Okay, two tries, but don’t expect much, okay?”
“If you don’t get me that plushie you’ll buy me a huge one,” he looked at you in disbelief. “A bit of playful threats is not bad, just a bit of pressure, you can handle it.” You laughed as he shook his head putting the coin on the machine, getting ready for his first try. Attentive eyes on the plushie and the claw, with a groan from Jongho and a small satisfied chuckle from you as he missed. “Not as easy, is it?”
“Oh, so this is payback? And here I was, being a good friend and getting my favorite person their plushie,” he pushed another coin in, not noticing how your eyes kept staring at him. You were his favorite person? Not favorite friend, but favorite person. That had to mean something right? Or were you just overthinking the way you two have been lately? Getting in too deep in how good you felt whenever you were with Jongho? What if— “YES! SUCK IT MACHINE!”
“You— you got the plushie…” your voice was barely a whisper as you saw the bear plushie coming out of the machine in Jongho’s hand as he handed it to you.
“Of course I did, I’d always get you a bear plushie, but you wanted this one, so I did my best to get it… so here,” he handed you the plushie as you took it in your hand, bringing it close to you in your arms as you looked at him a bit disbelief. “If we ever have to be apart again, even for a bit, and you miss me… Just hug the plushie and imagine it’s me, okay?”
Your mouth formed a thin line as you nodded, moving to hug Jongho, the bear plushie between your bodies as he giggled at your reaction, but his arms enveloped you still, as you two remained like that for a moment, before you moved away, with a smile to Jongho as you recovered a little from him winning you the plushie and the feelings you were trying to fight.
“It needs a name though… and since it reminds me of you and you said I should hug it if I miss you… How about Jjongbear?”
“You are a Literature Major, shouldn’t you be more creative with names?” He teased, his gummy smile returning as you looked at him annoyed. “Sorry, I had to… But sure, it’s yours, you can name it however you want, star.”
“How am I still friends with you? The boys are right, you and Yeosang are the true savages of the group,” you shook your head faking being upset as you took the bear and lifted it to look at you. “Your father may not appreciate you, but I do, Jjongbear!”
“Father? What are you talking about?”
“Already trying to bolt on parenting, tsk tsk tsk, your father would be disappointed,” you turned around to keep walking through the arcade.
“Yah! What do you mean father? I’m not fathering a plushie with my name in it!”

“You sure it’s okay I tag along, Jjong?”
It was a rhetorical question, technically it would be very hard to bolt now that you were in the car with Jongho heading to Yunho’s cabin in the mountains for the weekend.
“(y/n), me and the guys said it’s okay, should I play their audio telling me to bring you along again?” He chuckled at your nervousness, reaching for your hand on your thigh, squeezing your hand lightly as kept it there on your thigh. “Plus, it’s been a whole ass semester, you are part of the gang once more, you are even calling the boys out on their bullshit, we all like having you around, and I want you to come with, and enjoy it with us the end of finals.”
“I just sometimes feels like I’m barging in or something… I know we all know each other for ages, but I’m your best friend, and I’m a girl, and I feel like sometimes the guys hold back and—”
“Oh, no, they don’t hold back, they try to be respectful because otherwise I’ll beat their ass, and San, Yeosang, Hongjoong and Seonghwa also said they’d help, so you have three of the strongest guys on your side, but trust me, they are not holding back… Maybe Mingi is, but I doubt he will once we get there… When he drinks… well… you’ll see.”
You laughed at his words, looking at the highway before looking at your intertwined hands, the light caress of Jongho’s thumb on your hand a comfort reminder of his presence and care. “And where am I sleeping?”
“Oh, Yunho said his parents demanded you’d be in their room, saying that ‘you are not putting them to sleep with you boys, they can sleep in our bedroom, you eight are really loud when you want!’, so… you are the only one with an individual room.”
“Well… they aren’t wrong, the eight of you do get really loud, especially when drinking… God I don’t think I can forget when I went to Wooyoung’s room that one night and San was on the floor singing his lungs out, Wooyoung and Seonghwa were leaning on each other, Mingi and Hongjoong passed out in the corner Yeosang being the cutest and taking care of everyone along with you and Yunho, that were curiously the only ones standing… I still have questions, but I’m dreading the answers.”
Both of you laughed loudly at the memory of that day, his hand squeezed yours unconsciously as he focused back on the road. Suddenly, the rest of the trip to the cabin was about memory sharing, both from when you were kids and now in uni. Both feeling a sense of ease as the whole development of the situations happened, and again the feeling returned.
The feeling of puzzles fitting together.
That everything was falling into its rightful place.
That this was right.

“Yah! (y/n), help us out, I’m done being single, I want someone to hold and pamper…”
“Mingi, you are single because you are a manwhore,” he was gonna start to protest, but you beat him to it, “and no, you are not the only manwhore in this group, fear not.”
“Now you done it,” Jongho whispered to you as the guys started to protest, making you laugh loudly throwing your head back on the couch as Jongho took your empty shot glass to fill it once more for each of you. “Hey, they are not wrong! How many people have you guys slept with only this last semester?”
“For the record, I have my eyes on someone, she is the one that doesn’t want anything with me…,” San was quick to say with a pout.
“Of course she doesn’t, she has a girlfriend San, she doesn’t like dick!”
Your words silenced everyone, as everyone looked at San and you with shocked expressions.
“I don’t mind third wheeling, if that’s the case…”
Everyone burst into laughter at San’s response, everyone taking their shot of soju, Jongho had just poured for everyone. Quickly starting a new conversation as you put your glass back, deciding it was it for you. You never liked drinking, and you had a feeling you kept going you might do something that will ruin things.
“You okay?” Like kissing the man that just whispered in your ear as you felt his arms going over your shoulder, almost cradling you. Your head quickly resting on his shoulder as the tiredness of the past few sleepless nights, stress of the tests and muscle ache from the trip started to hit you. “You wanna head upstairs and sleep?”
“Yah! This is low! I just said I hate being single and you two keep acting like a couple, just date already!” You froze for a moment at Mingi’s words, you noticed how Jongho also froze, but still didn’t move away from you.
“Mingi is right, it’s pretty obvious you two like each other, why don’t you just date?”
“Yunho, we’ve been friends since forever, of course we’d be more comfortable—”
“You two like each other, just admit it already!”
“San is done playing cupid,” the boys all laughed at Wooyoung’s comment that followed San’s grumpy statement. “I mean, it would be easier if there were arrows to make you two realize you like each other, that’s true…”
“And don’t try to deny it, the heart eyes are there, especially when you two think the other isn’t looking,” Hongjoong was quick to say, followed by Yeosang.
“Nah, they are doing it to each other now, they can’t help it anymore.”
“I—I need to pee…” You quickly left the living room, heading to your assigned room, not noticing how everyone looked confused, except for Jongho and Yeosang who were upset and annoyed, respectively.
“You guys had to? Truly?”
“What? Yeo you know they wouldn’t admit it—”
“What if you guys are looking too into it, Wooyoung? What if this ends the friendship I literally just got it back?”
“We are not looking too into it,” San said sternly looking at Jongho who looked at his older brother scoffing. “You wrote a song to them, and keep writing songs about them. And they used to write your names and initials on any paper they could, now they just keeps close if you need them, because they became smarter after I caught them doing that all those years back. So no, they never had a crush on me, it was always you.”
“How you know I wrote a song to them?”
“That’s what you are focusing on? C’mon Jjong! You left your song notebook open one time when I went to your room to get something and I saw it, and you are not as subtle as you think when writing songs.”
“San is right, you are pretty obvious…”
“And they are pretty oblivious.”
Hongjoong and Seonghwa chimed in again, taking another sip of their beer as all of them observed Jongho.
“And if you pay attention, the two of you already act like a couple, so why are you two so scared of acting on it? Everyone already thinks you two are dating… you should talk to them, after setting your head straight, but don’t take too long, the night is young but it’s from GenZ with bills to pay.”
The boys all kept quiet observing Jongho, who quietly got up taking a closed can of beer and took it outside, closing the door behind him as he went to sit on one of the rocks from a small path you and him had explored earlier when you two arrived before hitting the pool with the others. And it pained him to admit the others were right. You were acting like a couple. He cared for you like a boyfriend, his touch was thoughtful but possessive, he was protective, he hated seeing any guy try to hit on you or touching you too much, he hated when you said someone was attractive, or when you commented on something the guys were saying with hidden innuendos that you experienced something like that or similar before, making him question with whom.
You held hands whenever you could. You hugged all the time for any reason. You were always close together if any of you needed the other. You two were practically living in each other's rooms if you are not in the library studying. Everyone already knew you two were a package deal. Where one went, the other would too. He knew his feelings for you were not platonic or friendly, they were romantic, hell he even had a wet dream about you more than once! But he wasn’t certain from your part. You pushed him to girls you thought he’d think are attractive, you’d indulge into flirting with other guys, even if you always returned to him, making him send those exact guys death stares that made them all run and hide. Were you playing him? Or were in denial like he was, but doing it differently? Pushing him away along with the romantic feelings?
He sighted looking up in the sky. He always loved to come into the mountains, the sky was always clear, so he could easily see the stars that always reminded him of you, back when you two were friends, when you grew apart and now that you reconnected. The starry sky was always his companion to think of you when he couldn’t be with you for whichever reason. He heard the sound of a door, looking towards the cabin, but no one was there, so you looked up, finding you in the balcony, fidgeting your fingers. You were nervous. Was it for the same reasons he was? Because you were seeing that you liked each other and were in denial, or was it because you realized you were acting like a couple when you only saw him as a friend?
His eyes kept darting to the night starry sky back to you, his only star, his northern star, the only direction his heart pointed at since forever. He doesn’t know how long he stood there, but it was enough for his bear to run warm in his hands and the wind blow cold against his skin. He had watched you for long enough to realize he couldn’t pretend anymore, he wanted you, not just as a friend, he wanted you as a partner, a life partner.
If you didn’t want that, it was okay. He wanted you in his life, it didn't matter how.
As he rushed to the house, he left his beer on the counter, ignoring the guys’ questions as he headed upstairs towards your room, knocking it loud enough so you could hear even if you were still on the balcony. It took what seemed like forever for footsteps to be heard and you opened the door, widening your eyes and holding back from closing it again as you looked down your feet.
“Hey, sorry, can you tell the guys I’m not coming down? That I’m ready for bed, or something?”
“Can we talk first?”
Your silence and avoidance of eye contact was enough to tell him you knew what this was about and it was unsure if you wanted to.
“Is this about what the guys said?”
He nodded quietly. “I think… It’s something we need to talk about, if it’s… so obvious to everyone but us… no?”
You knew he was right, and he knew you knew. It was just a matter of you wanting to face this now or later. After a few seconds, you took a step back, letting him inside your assigned room, closing the door as he passed, unsure of how to behave. Jongho simply extended his hand for you to take it, hoping the silent request would be accepted by you.
A small smile formed as you took his hand, letting him guide you to the balcony, the two of you leaning against the fence, his hand still holding your, the light tender caress continuing soothing your fears and nerves without him even knowing.
“Is there a reason we are on the balcony?”
Your voice was quiet, scared even to break the silence and eventually the bubble to make the subject of you two come to light. Instead of looking at you, Jongho looked at the sky with a smile.
“Starry nights remind me of you,” he said simply before looking back at you, your eyes were slightly scared, scared of what he may say, scared of what you two would become after this talk. “Even when we lost touch, I loved to go to places where I could see the stars, because it helped me think of you.”
“Jongho, what—”
“I’ve liked you since we were kids,” at your eyes widening, he let out a wholeheartedly chuckle, taking your hand on both of his hands, before continuing. “I never said anything because we were young and idiots, and for some reason I was so sure you had a crush on San, that made me livid whenever he spent time with us and I saw you get all why and blushing and—”
“Because he knew I liked you,” he stopped talking the second you cut him off. So San was telling the truth, which meant that… you probably still liked him too? “He…” You started looking away from Jongho embarrassed of the childish memory. “He caught me one day writing your name with hearts, or both our names close to each other… I usually did that when I had a lot on my mind, thinking of you calmed me…”
“So… you were shy and flustered with San… because he knew you liked me back then?”
“And he caught on fast that I… still like you now.”
The last part came out as a hushed tone. Both your heads were spiraling as your hearts were racing. You two liked each other back then, and still do now… that meant…
“Can I kiss you?” He blurted out, making you chuckle, being followed by him, with an embarrassed smile. “Sorry, sorry, I just… Is this as surreal to you as it is to me?”
You turned to him, biting your lip with a small nod. “I’m still stuck on the ‘I liked you since we were kids’ parts,” you laughed wholeheartedly as Jongho smiled, taking a step closer to you, testing the waters, testing if this was truly what you wanted, making you freeze for a moment. Your eyes almost automatically go to his lips before reaching his eyes. “I don’t want to lose you, bear.”
“And neither do I, star… but… will you allow us to try… be more than we are now?”
At your silence and lingering gaze on his face, he tested reaching to you once more, which wasn’t badly received, especially as he felt your free hand on his arm, a silent invitation for him to continue. “Just don’t break my heart again.”
“I never intended on doing that, and I don’t plan on ever hurting you ever again,” he whispered as he leaned close, so close that you could feel each other's breaths against your faces. “I’ll ask again, and I’d like a direct answer… Can I, finally, feel your lips against mine?”
“Yes, please.”
Without a second to think, Jongho leaned in, his lips meeting yours hungrily but… tenderly? You could feel how much he wanted to savor you, but he also wanted to devour you. As his tongue asked for entrance, your hands moved to his shoulder and up his hair messing it up as you allowed him entrance, his hands quickly finding your waist and hip pulling your body close to him. It was like you were in purgatory, the delicious heaven of having his lips on your, but the burning sensation of wanting more. You gasped as you felt his cool finger trace the hem of your shirt, touching the warm skin underneath.
“Sorry, sorry, I just—”
“Bed, now,” you said against his lips pulling him back inside, his hand quickly moving to close the door that led to the balcony, your lips crashing once more. It was you were addicted, addicted to his lips, to his hands on you, to how every touch seemed to burn your skin in the most delicious way. His hands were strong, but cautious, touching just the right places to drive you insane as his lips met yours in a contained hunger.
“(y/n), I don’t want to push you—”
“Shut up,” you said against his lips once more, pushing him back to the bed, as soon a he fell on the bed, his hands were on your hip, playing with the hem of the shirt, tracing lazy burning patterns on your skin. “We are not making a mistake, are we?”
“No, this is not a mistake, unless you don’t want to…”
His tender and understandable eyes made you melt. How even in a situation like this, Jongho could still be the most respectful and caring guy you could ever meet, even when you could feel how much he wanted you, in the way he kissed you, touched you, how he devoured you with his eyes, but still keeping them with a hint of tenderness? How were you lucky to have a man like this fall for you?
“I want you Jongho, but I want all of you,” you moved to stand between his legs, your hands on his hair pushing it away from his face, who looked at you with such care and hunger that was mimic in his actions, on how his hands traveled your body, possessively but like committing every curve, every stretch, every gap to memory. “Please tell me I’m not dreaming…”
“You are not dreaming star,” his smile was almost calming to you, as you let a sigh of relief closing your eyes, gasping as you felt his lips on the exposed part of your shirt his fingers were playing with, a mischievous but cautious smile appeared on his lips, as his face hovered against your stomach. “Is this okay? I’m sorry, I just want you too, all of you… if you have me.”
Instead of answering with words, you moved to straddle Jongho, keeping eye contact as it felt like you were dreaming still. Dreaming his lips had been on yours, that his hands were touching your skin under your shirt, that his lips touched the skin of your stomach, that he was underneath you, looking at you with the mix of lust and love. As your weight settled on top of Jongho, he closed his eyes, controlling his reaction.
There was so much he wanted to do to you, but he never wanted to make you uncomfortable, he was waiting for you cue, to anything that could tell what you wanted, he’d give you anything and everything. He was yours and you were his, and he was gonna make sure you felt loved with every piece of your body and soul.
You leaned forward once more, your lips touching his, his hands tightening on your hips, grounding you on his lap, gasping against the kiss as you felt his half-hard cock underneath you. His lips moved to your jawline as you moved your hips against his bulge, the pads of his fingers digging into your flesh as your nails sank on his shoulder, one of your hands moved to his hair once more. Your movements become less precise as you feel his lips and tongue on your neck.
Tiny murmurs of ‘is this okay?’, ‘so perfect’, so pretty’, ‘been dreaming of this for so long’, along with your own gasps and silent moans as you kept your movements, feeling his getting harder underneath you as he worshiped your neck, his hands moving from your hip, to waist, to back and all over again, until he stopped your hips, taking his head away from your neck. Hooded eyes, swollen lips, you held back from kissing him, as you moved your hips instinctively having him groan and close his eyes with a small ‘fuck’ coming out of his mouth.
“(y/n), I’m controlling myself pretty well, and I’m pretty good at that, but I won’t be able to control much with you moving like that on top of me, with a bed right here with us… I don’t want to push you into—”
“What if I want to?” His eyes shot up, searching for any type of deception on your eyes, or hints that it wasn’t truly what you wanted. “We are not children anymore Jongho, we are not freshly teenagers. I know what I want, and I want you.”
“Fuck, don’t say things like that….”
“Why? You don’t think I know what I want?” You said cheekily, testing the waters as your finger traced his jaw and lips. “I want you to make me yours for real Jongho, because I’ve been yours for longer than I’d like to admit.”
“I’ve been yours since the first time we met, even when we were kids, I was yours, you were always it for me. You were always the person I compared to others, and God I searched for you everywhere when I lost you… And I’m scared that if I give in this easily you’ll vanish… I still can’t believe I have you back, I can’t believe I have you like this.”
You smiled genuinely leaning in and kissing Jongho, this time was calmer, full of passion but no desire but to show love for each other. You pushed your body forward, making Jongho fall on his back as you kept kissing him. “I’m yours Jongho, always been, always will be.
In a swift movement Jongho moved you so he was on top, your legs quickly wrapping around his hips, your hands on his arms, one of his hands cupping your face, caressing your cheek. “Are you sure? Because I swear, you are making it impossible to—”
“I’m sure, please, Jjong.”
“Okay,” he said after a while with a small smirk on his lips as he leaned forward to whisper in your ear, “but we are doing my way, star.”
Before you could say anything, his lips found the spot under your ear, kissing it tenderly as his hands started to wander your body just lie before, committing every part to memory, like you are a marble, a painting, a book he wanted to undercover all its secrets. You gasped as his hands moved your shirt up, exposing until under your breasts, while his lips tasted every part of your neck and chest, he moved from the valley of your breasts to your midriff, keeping with the tender small lingering kisses on your skin, worshiping every little part you had of your body.
While one of his hands kept your shirt up, the other swiftly pulled your sweats down a little so he slid his hand to your pants, pads of his fingers tracing slow eight figures on your clit over your panties, making you gasp. Instinctively your hands went to his hair, while the other held his arm that held your shirt over, moving it to expose your bra, which we quickly pushed to the side, mouth involving your breasts as his movements on your clit grew faster, making you squirm under him.
“Jongho, pl–please…”
“Your wish is my command, my love.”
His mouth met your neck once more, as his fingers pulled your panties to the side, his middle finger teasing your entrance. As you were about to complain, his index and middle fingers entered you, skillfully curling inside of you before leaving, only to enter again. You could go insane just by what he was doing. As your moans grew louder, he moved his mouth to yours, muffling your sounds as his fingers sped up, his thumb pressing your clit as his fingers curled inside of you.
“Quiet (y/n), we don’t want the guys to come and take a peak.”
“Sorry, just— argh! So good, so so good, Jjong, God!”
His laugh against your neck made you shiver as he pulled his fingers out of you, making you whine as your orgasm was denied, but before you protested, Jongho brought his fingers soaked on your juice to his lips, before smirking at you. “Can’t wait to taste you properly, clothes off, lay on the bed, head on the pillows and try to keep it down, I don’t want anyone interrupting us, or seeing how good I’ll make you feel, okay?”
“I like this side of you…”
He smirked as you two started to take your clothes off. “Good, because you’ll see more and more of it from now on.”
As you lay down on the bed, completely naked, you took a moment to appreciate Jongho’s naked form the same way he was doing to you. His toned muscles, his tanned skin, the hidden parts that only you were able to see, because he was yours and no one else’s. He slowly moved back to the bed positioning himself in front of your legs, his hard cock leaking as his hands touched your knees, gently spreading your legs, revealing your soaking cunt, a bit red from the mess his fingers did to you.
Instead of digging for it, he teased you. His lips trailing kisses over your legs from your shoulder to the junction of your thigh and hip, repeating on the other side, before making himself comfortable on the bed, holding your thighs as he started to leave tender kisses on your labia, making you jolt your lips as they touched your sensitive clit, your hands going to his hair, as he started to lick your clit, leaving small kisses, before starting to make out with your cunt. The way you could feel his lips and tongue everywhere was driving you to the edge.
He was eating you like no one ever had.
No, he wasn’t eating you out, he was making out with your cunt.
Like he had all the time in the world.
Because he had, he had all the time in the world to make you feel good.
And God you tried your best to keep it down.
Quiet, hushed moans, with few exceptions that made Jongho chuckle against your core, making your whole body reverberate with it.
Your legs probably shook three times before he finally stopped kissing your cunt, the way your whole body was like pudding at that moment was insane, and yet, you wanted more. You wanted him inside.
“Jongho, please, I need you inside…”
“Are you sure you can take it, (y/n)? I have a feeling I spent you too much already,” he hovered above you with a cocky smile as he pushed your hairs away from your face, caressing it tenderly, his eyes were sweet, cautiously, slightly worried if he was pushing your body’s limit already.
“I’m sure,” you nodded as your voice sounded breathlessly. It was true, you were spent, but in the best way possible, and your body ached for him. “I’m sure, Jjong, I can take it, please.”
“I don’t have a condom…”
“You can pull out, I’m on the pill, as long as you are clean, we are good.”
He couldn’t help but find your eagerness endearing.
“I’ll be gentle, promise.”
And he was.
His hands gently moved you around the way that would be the most comfortable for you, gently spreading your legs wider as he positioned his cock at your entrance. Looking at you once more to confirm, you nodded back. Jongho positioned himself before leaning into you, lips meeting in a gentle, sweet kiss as his cock slowly entered your hole. Your lips parted as you felt him fill you up, allowing Jongho to kiss your face and neck, as his hands wandered your body in a worshiping manner.
As he finally entered you full, he gave you time to adjust, moving slowly, not fully pulling out, his hips moving slowly as one of his hands kept his weight out of you, the other exploring every part of your body, cupping your face, making you look at him, as his pace increased, observing every reaction you had so he could make sure not to push you too much, but just enough to make you feel good.
His lips once more found yours as you both started to get more and more needy for each other, his movements getting faster, precise, as your nails scratched his back, your legs wrapped around his hips for a moment, making you almost scream for how good it felt. Your nails digging on his flesh made him groan as his movements became sloppier, allowing you to move to kiss his jawline and neck, hearing him curse speeding his movements. His head hid on the crook of your neck as he held you close. Your body was already easily shaking, but he tried his best to control your release while trying to reach his.
You clenched around him more and more, moaning against his ear, ‘that’s it’, ‘fuck so good’, ‘don’t stop’, ‘fuck you are so tight’, a mix of words between you and Jongho as you hid your screamed moan on his shoulder finally hitting your high, he slowed down riding out your high, before detaching himself from you, pulling out and fisting his hand. The sight of your fucked out face, almost making him cum in sight, a few stroke after his cum was over your torso as both of you were spent in bed.
“Stay put, I’ll be right back,” he said breathlessly to you, heading to the bathroom, grabbing a hand towel, wetting half to clean you up. As he was sure you were clean, minding the sore spots, he tossed the towel to the sink, as he moved to lay beside you. “You okay? Not too sore?”
“I’m fine, you were perfect,” you said leaning in kissing his lips, his hand finding your hip, pulling you closer to him as his other hand served as base for your head to rest. You quickly pulled the covers over the two of you, resting your head on his shoulder, his arm around you, caressing the skin of your arm feather-like, your legs tangling. Your free hand draws lazy patterns on his chest, before his free hand envelops yours bringing to his lips.
A small tender kiss on your knuckles.
“I love you, (y/n).”
“I love you, Jongho.”

summary; jongho can't control himself in front of his perfect girlfriend. He just has to fuck her! warnings; smut, 18+, pussy eating, overstimulation, exhibitionism, virtual masturbation, sex maniac Jongho 💀 a/n; just something about Jongho being so obsessed and perverted makes my stomach flips.
Choi Jongho absolutely has to eat out his girl before a show or performance. That is an unavoidable ritual he has to follow. It gives him motivation to tear it up on the stage.
"Jongie, I can't anymore, please," Y/n would plead, her boyfriend dead set on making her come for the nth time that evening.
Jongho would peek out from between her legs, her juices shining on his chin. "I know you can, baby," He'd coo. "C'mon, baby, please?"
He had such a way with words that had the girl wrapped around the palm of his hand. Even if she was absolutely spent, her body shaking in overstimulation, his words alone has her coming non-stop on his face, drenching him completely.
"Atta girl."
It didn't matter if the performance was just for a promotional interview for their newest comeback, he'd still eat out Y/n like it was his last day on earth.
He'd have the girl splayed on the vanity table, her head resting on the mirror behind her.
"God, you taste so sweet," He'd remark as if he hadn't just make her cum with his fingers just thirty minutes back. As if he hadn't just sucked on his fingers right after she climaxed. "My dessert," he had said.
Coachella too.
He didn't have the opportunity to physically pleasure his girl, but he could still do it through Facetime. And he did.
"Yeah just like that, baby," He'd groan, palming himself as Y/n on ther end played with herself, her fingers running up and down her folds, slick in arousal. "Fuck."
"Jongho, we gotta get going," His hyungs would call out to the singer.
The others knew what he was doing. He was doing his ritual, of course.
It wasn't anything new for the members to stumble into Jongho's room or trailer to see a sweat-drenched Y/n, her eyes drooping with exhaustion.
"What do you want, San-hyung," Jongho would peek his head out to see at the older man just leaning against the doorway, a smirk on his lips.
"Nothing, just wanted to see what the maknae is up to," He'd say as he made his way towards the couple, his pants growing tighter with each step.
Y/n, at this point has given up any sense of shame she had. Her lover being as obsessed as he was, it was bound that other members accidentally walk in on them during these moments.
"You should do it like this," San remarked as if teaching his younger brother how to fix a tire as he plunged one of his finger in Y/n's pussy, almost touching her cervix.
Y/n would gasp, hugging Jongho even closer. WIth a smirk, Jongho would nod. "Thanks, hyung." And San would nod, walking out of the room with the finger in his mouth.
Living in the dorm as Jongho's girlfriend for the last four years, she knew nothing could stop her Jongie from stopping his administrations on her swollen pussy.
There was even an instance where Jongho was actually talking about the melody he had created with Hongjoong for a track, while he had Y/n bouncing on his cock.
Hongjoong had just smirked at the sight. His youngest has grown so much, it warmed his heart. He did however, had to leave for a bathroom break for fifteen minutes though.
The others quite enjoyed having these private shows for them. It'd become a betting game between the members too.
"I'm telling you, San," Wooyoung would argue. "Jongie is fucking her reverse cowgirl."
And San would shake his head. "Nope. She's riding him this time. 100?"
Wooyoung would cock a brow. "Alright. 100 it is."
"Wait," Seonghwa would join in. "Make it 300. He has her in a mating press."
And the they would go upto Jongho's room, crack open the dorr slightly, but honestly they would just open the door and stand there on the doorway as if they were watching the tv from another room.
Seonghwa would smirk. "See? I told you!"
Jongho would not even look up to acknowledge them, neither would Y/n try to cover herself.
"Keep it up, Jongho!" And they'd leave bickering.

Ways To Say : I Love You
Word Count : 6.6k
Warnings : swearing, brief sexual content (like maybe 2 sentences), food, workout, brief mention of blood (nose bleed), maybe slight angst but not really, tried my best to make it gender neutral but mentions of makeup and manicures/pedicures
Synopsis : Best friend Ateez realizing they're falling in love with you and the different ways they show it.

Seonghwa
Wants to build Lego with you
He used to enjoy building Lego alone, on live with Atiny, and the odd time with San. But as he realizes he’s falling for you, he wants to share one of his favourite activities with you. He wants to share everything with you.
Seonghwa would take time to set everything up perfectly before you came over. Drinks and snacks set up along with the Lego sets he bought specifically for this occasion. One for him and one for you. Though he would never admit to it, he bought this specific Lego set for you because it reminded him of you the second he saw it.
He even sat down each of the members and told them to leave the two of you alone, though that didn’t happen. They each took turns interrupting your time together for one reason or another. You never noticed the scowl on Seonghwa’s face whenever they came in because every time you looked at him, he was smiling. It was hard for him to stay mad when you were around.
Spa days
The idea came to him when you were complaining about your skin, wishing it looked as smooth as his. He called you over on one of his days off and ushered you into the bathroom. You were confused but it was Seonghwa, so you allowed him to do whatever it was.
He had bought you all the same products he uses and went through his routine with you. If he was paying attention, he would have seen the pure adoration pouring out of your eyes as you looked at him. It was a passing complaint you made that you didn’t realize he took note of, and it melted your heart realizing how much attention he pays you.
Spa days became a regular thing between the two of you. And Seonghwa would continue to get more and more elaborate with them. Buying new face masks to try, getting manicure sets so you could do each other’s nails, and even getting the fluffy white robes to complete it all.
Now he has an entire photo album on his phone dedicated to pictures of the two of you with different face masks on. He scrolls through them when he misses you.
Shopping together
Shopping with you has honestly become one of his all time favourite things to do. He loves spoiling you, even though you always fight him on it, telling him you can pay for your own clothes. He’d never tell you, but he loves seeing you in the outfits that he not only picked out but also paid for. It’s like the possessive side of him comes out seeing you dressed head to toe in something he bought for you.
He also loves watching you put together outfits for him. You try to match his fashion sense, but even if you didn’t, he would wear every single outfit, because you picked it out. He walks out of the change rooms with a wide smile in every outfit, and always ends up buying every single one, even the ones you made just for fun.
Today you notice Seonghwa seems a little off as he flicks through the different articles of clothing, but you chalk it up to exhaustion. And then he turns to you, holding up two outfits that are very similar, and you cock your head to the side asking who they’re for. His voice his soft when he answers, “Couple outfits. For us.” He was smiling nervously as he waited for your answer. But there really was only one answer to give, because how could you not fall in love with Park Seonghwa?
Bonus
“I can’t believe that fucking worked!” Jongho exclaimed when he saw the two of you enter the dorms in the matching outfits. You and Seonghwa just shrugged and smiled at each other before heading into his room. He had everything set up for your usual spa day, except this time you asked him to put the face mask on for you.
He sat you on the bathroom counter and stood in between your legs as he carefully put the mask on your face. He stole a quick kiss and then asked you to put his mask on him.
Hongjoong

Lets you choose his nail polish colour
Everyone else knew about his feelings for you before he did. They would watch as he looked at you with a certain fondness in his eyes he didn’t have for anyone else. He even left the studio more often so he could spend more time with you. But none of it made it click for him until you were looking through his nail polishes and asked if you could choose the next colour.
He agreed immediately, absolutely zero hesitation. Oh. OH. Oh fuck. But when he looked over at you, seeing you holding up a bottle of nail polish with a wide smile, everything felt okay. It felt better than okay. And he suddenly had a new favourite colour. Though his favourite colour seemed to change every week, matching whichever colour you picked out for him.
He would think of you every time he looked down at his painted nail. When he missed you, or was nervous, he would look down at his nail, and picture you with that same wide smile, and everything would feel okay again.
Sneaks candid pictures of you
Hongjoong loves taking pictures wherever he goes. He loves preserving the memories. Loves looking back through them and remembering the places he’s been, the people he’s met. But the more he falls for you, the more pictures he takes of you.
When you’re sleeping, eating, laughing, existing. If the two of you are out and about, he snaps a couple pictures of the scenery, but most of the pictures he takes are of you. Enjoying the view, or just standing there. No matter what, you look perfect to him, and he can’t help but take a million pictures trying to capture your beauty.
He has an entire album on his phone dedicated to pictures of just you. The members teased him about it when they found out about it, telling him he was down horrendous. He absolutely was, and he really didn’t mind.
His camera has even more pictures of you. Enough for multiple exhibits of just you. Wooyoung told him he should rent out a building and put on an exhibit just for you as his confession. And he hates that he entertained that thought for a couple days. Going as far as calling a couple different places to see how much it would cost to rent it out for a day. But then the possibility that you might find it weird or creepy crossed his mind, and he canceled everything.
Shows you every new song first
Hongjoong calling you in the middle of the night to show you a new song became your new normal. The first couple times you were angry. But then you realized how special it was to be the first to hear every new song. And he started having your favourite coffee ready for you when you arrived, and you started loving these moments.
He seemed nervous when he called this time. More nervous than normal. But you weren’t sure if you were making it up in your sleepy state or not. Hongjoong was usually nervous when showing you a new song, wanting your honest opinion, even if it meant you hated it. You never did. He really is a musical genius.
You sit in your usual spot, a cup of coffee immediately being slid into your hands. “I want you to pay extra attention to the lyrics of this one.” He could barely meet your eyes, but you ignored it, nodding and preparing yourself for the song.
You quickly realized that he was confessing his love in this song, and felt your heart sink a little. Part of you hoped your feelings weren’t one sided, but it seems like that’s the case. But you tried to keep the smile on your face so he wouldn’t think you hated the song, or worse, catch onto your feelings. But he saw the split second of sadness on your face and realized that you weren’t catching on.
So he slides the lyric paper in front of you. And the first thing you notice is the title. Your name.
Bonus
“I still think you should have done the private photography exhibit of all of the pictures you’ve taken of them.” Wooyoung said when Hongjoong announced your new relationship. You looked over at your boyfriend, seeing his face turn red.
“Meet me in my room later.” He told Wooyoung through gritted teeth. “Ignore him. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.” You shake your head.
“No, no. I want to see these pictures. Please?” He could feel himself caving the second he saw the pout on your face.
“Make sure you ask to see the ones on his phone too.” San added with a wink before running away so Hongjoong couldn’t catch him.
Yunho

Brings you coffee/food when you’re studying/working late
Yunho knew when he met you that you were going to be more than a friend to him. It was so easy to talk to you and spending time with you made him happy. He knew he was going to crush on you. But he didn’t know he was going to fall this hard.
Standing in the long line to get your favourite food, he checks his phone again. It’s nearing 10:30. You said you would be done at 11. He’s next, so he knows he’ll make it time to meet you outside with the food.
He’s not sure when this little tradition started. Whenever you’d be out late, he would go pick up whatever it was you were craving and bring it right to you for whenever you finished. He remembers the first time he did it, surprising you with dinner after you got out. You were so happy you almost cried. He remembers you hugging him as tight as you could, and he didn’t want you to let go.
That’s when he knew this was more than just a crush. Because in that moment, he knew he would do absolutely anything to see you that happy again. He would even steal the moon for you.
Playing video games together
It started with you asking him to teach you how to play his favourite games. You would sit on his lap and he would guide your hands until you learned all the controls. No one has to know that you purposely took longer to learn the controls so he’d hold your hands longer.
One day he surprised you with your own set up so you two could play together. Though you preferred when he was teaching you, you still loved this time together. The two of you could play for hours without realizing it, getting lost in each other more than the game, but no one had to know.
Even finds himself only playing when you were available, because it’s only fun with you now. Though he’ll play with the members if they ask, it’s still more fun with you, but he’d never tell them that, (they know).
When he’s on tour and unable to play, you’ll still call him when you play. He smiles the whole time as he listens to you play his favourite game, and he wonders why he didn’t teach you sooner.
Slow dancing together
You’re not sure when it began. The sudden slow dancing around the dorms when it was just the two of you. One day, Yunho just put on a song, held out his hand, and asked you to dance. And how does one say no to slow dancing with Jeong Yunho?
The first couple times were clumsy. Missing steps, tripping over each other, skipping beats. But neither one of you cared, because it was just the two of you, and you were having fun. You didn’t even notice that Yunho was playing the same song on repeat.
Soon it became a thing. As soon as it was just the two of you, Yunho would put on the same song, hold his hand out, and ask you to dance. You never said no. You loved the intimacy of it. Of being in his arms, of being close to him.
After a while, you both got the hang of it. Sweeping around the house together with ease, as if it was second nature. As if this is what you two were born to do; dance together just like this.
Today he smiles down at you, his eyes filled with love as he looked at you. And the words spill from his lips before he can stop them. “You know, this is good practice for our wedding.” And for the first time in months, you trip over his feet.
Bonus
“This is why you ask us to leave whenever Y/n comes over?” Mingi asks as he walks in on you two slow dancing. “Just confess already.” You both giggle.
“I did that last week, princess.” Yunho tells Mingi, pulling you into his chest and pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“Don’t tell me you said something cringey like this was practice for your wedding.” Mingi could tell by the look on Yunho’s face that that’s exactly what he did. “Oh come on! How many months of planning and that was the best you came up with?”
“Hey! Between the two of you, only one of you is in a relationship.” You spoke up in defense of your boyfriend. Yunho chuckled when Mingi’s jaw dropped.
“That’s my baby.”
Yeosang

Shares all his food with you
Now Yeosang didn’t mind sharing most of his food with his friends, but when it came to certain things, he would rather bite their finger than share even a bite. But when it came to you, he wouldn’t hesitate sharing everything, even his chicken.
It came as a surprise, even to him, when you asked for a bite of his chicken and he handed it to you with no hesitation. He was smiling to himself as he watched you take a bite, your eyes widening slightly as you nod your head. “Yours is so much better.” You had exclaimed. And he wasted no time in switching your plates so you could enjoy your dinner.
He finally understood all those people who said they could feel full just watching someone they love eat. And he knows he wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Especially if it meant you would smile at him like you are now. Your arm linked with his was just a nice bonus.
Spontaneous trips
The second he knew he had the week off, he was at your place with two plane tickets to the place you’ve been wanting to go to for a while. He remembers you showing him pictures of the places you wanted to see there, the different foods you wanted to try. And he knew he wanted to be the one to take you.
He loved that you didn’t ask questions. Just quickly packed a bag with lots of excitement, and then the two of you were off on a week long vacation. It was one of the best decisions he ever made, if he was honest. A close second to leaving for KQ.
Despite all the other tourists and the locals, it felt as if it was just the two of you. All his focus was on you, and most of the pictures he took were also of you. Except for the few he took to post for Atiny. And when he leaves for tour in a couple weeks, he knows he’ll be scrolling through these pictures, waiting for the next time he could take you on a trip.
It didn’t take long before it became a tradition for the two of you. Whenever he had an extended break, he would buy two plane tickets to a destination you haven’t been to. You’ve learned to keep a bag packed so you’re ready to go when he comes to pick you up.
Yeosang also started planning short trips to places around Korea for his shorter breaks, because he just wanted to spend all his breaks with you. He loved getting to spend this one on one time with you, loved showing you places he’s been on tour, showing you the world.
He also began sending you pictures of the places they were while he was on tour, making a mental list of the ones you seemed excited to see. Yeosang had an entire list in his phone of the places he wanted to take you, complete with sights to see and food to try under each one. The list was ever growing, and he can’t wait to show each place.
Let’s you practice makeup on him
It started with a simple, “Sangie, can I do your makeup?” and ended up becoming a weekly thing you liked to do. You’d sit in his lap and gently apply the products on his face. It soon became one of his favourite things to do with you because he loved having you so close, loved how intimate it felt.
As you did his makeup, you would compliment his features. Tell him how pretty you found him. Atiny helped him not hate his birthmark, but you? Oh god you? You made him fall in love with it. The way you’d trace it softly with your fingertips with a soft smile on your face, whispering the word pretty every single time. You never covered it, telling him it was one of your favourite parts of him.
You helped him see himself through your eyes. He’s never felt so pretty, so confident. And he realizes he can’t hold back anymore. He wants you, needs you, loves you. You’re sitting on his lap, his arms are wrapped around you so you don’t fall, and your face is so close. You told him you were going to turn him into the fairy prince he really is. “Sangie! Your cheeks are so red I don’t even need to use blush. You’re so cute!”
You boop his nose and he knows that this is his chance. He slowly leans forward, risking everything in this moment. It’s slow at first and then fast and sudden. He captures your lips in a kiss and waits for you to push him away, but you wrap your arms around his neck and kiss him back. He risked everything, and it was worth it.
Bonus
“Oop my bad. I just needed to grab something. Please carry on.” Yunho says as he tiptoes into the room and grabs something off his bed and leaves again. “Guys! They were kissing! It finally happened!” They heard as Yunho made his way back to where the rest of the members were.
“Kissing?! Before marriage?!” Wooyoung yells and Yeosang can hear him running to the bedroom before he was stopped by someone, probably Hongjoong.
“Just accept that he likes Y/n more than you.” Jongho teased. Yeosang chuckled and you blushed. Then he brought your face closer to his, bringing you in for another kiss.
San

Buying/sharing plushies
San loves plushies, it’s just a well known fact. He has favourites of the ones he owns, but he loves them all. And he enjoys buying new ones that he finds. He also loves you, which is not a well known fact. He doesn’t even realize it at first, until he’s standing in the plushy aisle in a store, holding one that reminds him of you, and he feels happy.
He buys it immediately, gifting it to you the next time he sees you. San watches your eyes light up when you see it, and he has a need to see it again. You told him you’ve been jealous of his collection, and before he could stop himself, he’s offering half custody to you.
That’s where it began. Every weekend the two of you would swap a plushy or two. He was nervous to part with his favourites at first, but you would send selfies of you with them doing random things together. Like having a movie night, or a spa day, or just eating a meal together. And he loved it. So much so he made one of the pictures the wallpaper on his phone.
You always made sure to take good care of his plushies because you knew how much they meant to him. They always came back in the same condition they left, except they smelled like you. It became his new favourite thing. And he would cuddle the ones that smelled like you at night, imagining it was you next to him instead.
Pool days
San loves the pool. He could stay in the water for hours, just chilling, swimming, vibing. Him and the members tried to go whenever they could, but it wasn’t nearly as often as he wanted. When you moved to a new place with a pool, you offered for him to come over whenever he wanted and the two of you could enjoy pool days together.
He jumped at the opportunity to spend more time with you, and the chance to show off his body. He’s worked hard to get it to where it is now, he’s proud of it, and he wants you to enjoy it. Wants you to ogle, stare, drool. He hopes to be the person in your horny fantasies. The one in your wet dreams.
Little did he know that checking him out was exactly the plan when you offered for him to come over. You’ve seen pictures, but you wanted to see the real deal. Wanted to see it up close and personal. Your eyes were glued on him and he was soaking it all in. He felt a sense of pride watching your eyes follow him everywhere he went. You were taking mental pictures for a late night alone.
“Join me.” He says after jumping into the pool. You were sat in a lounge chair, enjoying the view, but you could also enjoy the view from up close. San watched as you took your clothes off, leaving you in your swimsuit. And he realized that he was unprepared to see you in a swimsuit. Only preparing himself for you to see him in his swimsuit. And now he has to figure out how to get rid of his boner before you both decide to get out of the pool.
Carries you around everywhere
You’re not sure when or why it started, but San developed a thing for carrying you around. Whether it was a piggyback ride, or he was just picking you up in his arms. He never seemed to have a destination in mind, just wandering around with you on his back or in his arms. He just loves having you close.
He’s always been a clingy guy, but he wants to be clingier with you, if that was possible. That’s why he wants to carry you everywhere, so he can always have you touching him in some way. Your touch is his favourite.
He’s picking you up as soon as he sees you, something you’ve become very used to over the last couple months. Though it seems as if today he has a destination in mind because he’s not just aimlessly wandering around. Before you can ask where you’re going, you’re being set down in front of a man you’ve only seen in pictures and videos on the internet. “Soulmate 1, meet soulmate 2!” San beams.
“Hey! You can only have one soulmate!” Wooyoung pouts. You can’t help but giggle.
“You’re my platonic soulmate. Y/n is my romantic soulmate.”
Bonus
“San has a s/o!” Wooyoung yells as he runs off to who knows where. You’re still standing there, staring at San with wide eyes, but he just looks at you with a smile, cocking his head to the side. He looked so cute, and you felt so lucky that he saw you as his soulmate.
“I love you.” You blurted out suddenly. San just chuckled, pulling you into his arms.
“I know.” He says, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “I love you too.” You were too shocked to ask how he knew, but it didn’t really matter. Because at the end of the day, he loves you too.

Mingi
Smiles/laughs more when you’re around
Yunho noticed it first. The almost automatic smile that would make its way onto Mingi’s face whenever he saw you. Even just being in the same room in you would make him smile. How he laughed at all your jokes, even the ones that weren’t all that funny. Mingi would laugh like it was the funniest joke he’s ever heard. Every single time.
Whenever Mingi was having a bad day, Yunho would call you over, and Mingi would brighten up almost instantly. “Heard you’re having a rough day. Want to talk about it?” You’d ask with such a soft voice and so much affection pouring from your eyes, Yunho felt like a third wheel immediately.
It was as if you two were in your own little world. Mingi would play with your hand as he rambled about his day, and you listened to every word. When he was finished, he would look at you and smile, and it was like a weight was lifted off of him. Even if nothing was fixed, everything was better.
“I love your smile.” You told him once. “It’s my favourite thing about you.”
Will do anything to make you laugh
His smile was your favourite thing about him, but your laugh was his favourite thing about you. To him, your laugh sounded like pure joy, pure happiness. Your laugh could make even his worst days better. Your laugh makes stars shine brighter, makes hot chocolate taste sweeter, makes colours more vibrant. He could write an entire album based entirely on your laugh.
So whenever he sees you upset, he’s on a mission. He will do absolutely anything to make you laugh. Even if it involves embarrassing himself repeatedly. Funny faces, dumb jokes, falling over. He’ll even get the members involved if nothing else seems to work.
This is when the others started to clue into his feelings for you. And they all wonder how you can’t see it, when it’s so clear and in your face.
Clumsier when you’re around
Mingi is always clumsy, but he tends to trip over himself more when you’re around. It’s as if he completely forgets how to walk, forgets where his limbs are and how they work, whenever you come around.
A few times he overpoured his drink because he saw you as he was pouring and got distracted by how attractive you are. He didn’t want to look away, couldn’t look away. You’re magnetic to him. Ethereal. “You’re spilling.” You pointed out to him with a giggle.
“I meant to do that. Thought the counter was thirsty too.” He tried to play it off. You just nodded and helped him clean it up, making a comment about how the counter must have not been that thirsty after all. And that was the final straw for him. He was in love with you. Irrevocably so. The words almost came spilling out like the juice on the counter, but he bit his tongue. Do you feel the same?
When you left that day, the other members gave him a pep talk so that the next time you came over, he would confess to you. Every doubt he had, they would squash away.
What if Y/n doesn’t feel the same? They look at you like you hung the stars in the sky.
What if forget what to say? Write it down. Practice. Just like our songs. Pretend they are lyrics.
What if I can’t speak? Here. Use this whiteboard.
What if… You’ll do great, princess.
The second he sees you, he’s tripping over his feet to greet you, literally. He falls flat on his face in front of you and your eyes widen as he just lays there. You wonder if he knocked himself out by accident, but then he picks his head up and looks at you. He’s smiling, but you can see the blood dripping from his nose, and you go to rush to help him, but he starts speaking before you can do anything. “I’m just falling for you physically and emotionally.”
Bonus
You sat next to him on the couch, dabbing up the now dried blood under his nose. “You’re lucky it’s not broken.”
“Hey, I got a s/o out of it so it would have been worth it.” You couldn’t help the blush that dusted across your cheeks, but you shook your head to try and hide your flustered state.
“Oh my gOd! They’re dating your honor.” San said as everyone piled back into the dorms.
“What happened to your face?” Jongho asked.
“Did you say something stupid so Y/n punched you?” Wooyoung joined in.
“I tripped.” Mingi mumbled, looking down at his hands. You grabbed one in your own, lacing your fingers together, and giving a quick squeeze, reassuring him that everything was okay.
“That’s our clumsy princess.” Yunho chuckled.
Wooyoung

Teaching you to cook/cooking together
Wooyoung loves to cook. Especially when he’s cooking for those he loves. You became one of his favourite people to cook for when he realized he was falling. Part of it was to make sure you were eating well, the other part was just him wanting to show off, show you he’d make a great partner.
And then you asked him to teach you. He could feel his heart wanting to beat out of his chest as you looked at him with your pleading eyes. How could he deny you when you looked so cute begging him like this?
He loved how domestic it felt to be in the kitchen with you like this, the two of you cooking a meal to eat together. You were chopping the vegetables, having a little bit of trouble, when you felt arms wrap around you. He gripped your hands with his. “If you do it like this, it’s easier.” He said softly in your ear, causing shiver to go up your spine. You stuttered out a thank you and tried to replicate his moves on your own.
Wooyoung still did most of the work, but he gave you all the credit, taking a bite and telling you that you did such a great job. It made you laugh, and that’s all that matters to him.
Teaches you Ateez choreography
Every comeback, the members ask their idol friends to do dance challenges with them to post on Tiktok. Fans love to see the little interactions between their favourite idols and see them try each other’s choreography. You were no different. Even tried to learn some of the dances yourself.
Wooyoung had once walked in on you trying to learn the choreography to Seventeen’s new song and decided from then on he would teach you Ateez’s choreography. Your face lit up when he offered, and you told him that you always wanted to learn, but some of the dances looked really hard.
Just like he was a great cooking teacher, he was also a great dance teacher, and you picked up on the moves quite quickly. “You could be our ninth member.” He had joked a few times with a smile on his face.
“8 makes 1 team.” You responded with a smirk. You were right, of course. But that still didn’t stop him from making the joke every time you nailed a new dance. He was proud of you and he hopes you know that.
Now every comeback, Wooyoung comes to you first. He can’t post the dance challenge he films with you, but he can look back on them when he misses you.
Mani pedi dates
It started with him wanting to pick out the colour for you. And the design, if you got one. Then he started scrolling Pinterest for ideas for you. Which then turned into him saying you should get nails to match their albums. And then finally, matching nails.
You would make the appointment when he was free, he would pick the design for both of you. It was relaxing and a great bonding experience for the two of you. He loved spending the couple hours it took for the both of you to get mani pedi’s together. Catching up on the days you were apart. And he would pay every single time. For both of you. No matter how much you protested, so you just gave up.
Today, the nails weren’t based on any Ateez albums, or songs. He chose something with hearts. “I’m confessing.” He tells you, and your heart sinks. He likes someone? “I want to introduce you to the person I’m in love with today. Come over for dinner?” He loves someone. He’s in love with someone. You just nod, and the two of you go your separate ways.
You dress as nicely as you can, hoping the makeup you put on covered the sadness you were feeling. “I can do this.” You chant to yourself as you make your way over. “I’ll meet them and then I’ll move on from him.” You say before ringing the doorbell. Wooyoung answers with a smile, taking your hand in his, and whisking you inside, where you see a table set for two, but no other person.
You try not to think too much of it. Try not to get your hopes up. They’re probably running late. Or maybe they’re in the bathroom. And you’ll soon see how perfect for Wooyoung they are, and then you’ll go back home and drown your sorrows in a tub of ice cream. “Y/n, meet the person I’m in love with.”
You bring yourself back to reality. Stood in front of a mirror. And everything clicks for you. “You’re a little shit.”
Bonus
“He did what and you still said yes?” Seonghwa asked. “Did you at least hit him first?”
“They kissed me.” Wooyoung answered with a proud smile. “A lot.”
“Okay they don’t need to know all those details.” You place your hand over his mouth, telling him to shut up.
“No, no. I think we do. Please, tell us more.” Yeosang teased.

Jongho
Clingy with you
Jongho doesn’t realize he’s falling for you until a movie night where you cuddle up to him, and he doesn’t squirm away from your touch. In fact, he softens under your touch, feels safer under your touch. That’s when he looks over at you, your attention still on the movie, and he realizes he loves you.
From that point on, he becomes clingy with you. Greeting you with a hug, goodbye hugs, cuddles whenever he sits next to you. It just feels natural to be touching you in someway. And it becomes a common sight for everyone to see that no one catches on to his underlying feelings for you.
He loves to play with your hands or the rips in your jeans if he’s nervous. Jongho has also started grabbing for your hand when walking around, so he doesn’t lose you in the crowds, and so you don’t wander off if you find a stray cat.
When he has a particularly bad day, he’s coming to you immediately. Laying on top of you on the couch or in bed, his head on your chest, your hands in his hair. It relaxes him immediately. Just listening to your heartbeat, feeling you play with his hair, it feels like home. Sometimes you hum your current favourite song softly, sometimes you’ll tell him about your day. He loves every second.
Going to the gym together
The gym is where Jongho gets most of his alone time. Sometimes another member or two will tag along, but they tend to stick to their own routines. But the second he heard you mention wanting to start going to the gym, he offered for you to join him.
He helped you get a routine going. Taught you how to use the machines. Jongho was basically your personal trainer that you didn’t have to pay. You just didn’t know how to tell him the whole reason you agreed to join him was to watch him workout.
But he knew. He had overheard your conversation with one of your friends who was asking why the sudden interest in the gym. It’s not that I’m interested in the gym per se. But watching guys, watching Jongho workout? Yes please. He wouldn’t lie, that single sentence, that single revelation, gave him a boost of confidence.
He started wearing tank tops when he knew it would be just you two at the gym. Would make sure to be somewhere nearby so you could have a nice view. He would smirk to himself whenever he caught you watching instead of focusing on your own workout. If it was you, he didn’t mind one bit.
Always comes when you call
The first time was when you missed the last bus. It was late and seconds away from raining. And you really didn’t have the money to Uber. You called Jongho almost in tears, and he was in the car before you could even finish your sentence.
The second time was when your friend bailed last minute and you didn’t have any other way home. You apologized even more than the first time. He reassured you that it didn’t matter him what else he had going on, he would always come when you called. Always.
And he did. Even on the days when you were just calling because you just didn’t feel like taking the bus after the day you had. He never complained, was never upset. He was always smiling when you got into his passenger seat, reassuring you that he really didn’t mind picking you up.
It was another day of you calling for him to pick you up. He was already in the car the second he heard your ringtone. You apologized for calling, and he could heard the exhaustion in your voice, could hear the tears you were trying to hold back. If he could, he would have broken every road law just to get to you faster.
“I’m so sorry.” You apologize again. He takes in your tired state and tells you once again not to worry about it. “I just feel like I’m always bothering you.”
“Would it make you feel better if I was your boyfriend?” He says suddenly. “Fuck I didn’t mean to say that.” He can’t look at you, but if he did, he would see you looking at him with wide eyes and mouth agape. You’re speechless, unsure of what to say. Because you would still feel like a bother, but you would feel better in general if he was your boyfriend.
“I mean maybe.” You answer finally. “I think you’ll have to ask me to find out.”
Bonus
The two of you walk into the dorms hand in hand, ready for the chaos that is about to ensue. “I knew it!!” Yeosang exclaimed when he saw the two of you. “Everyone said I was insane for saying Jongho liked Y/n! But look at them now!”
“Technically you’re wrong.” Jongho replied. “I love Y/n.”
“Holy shit?!” Wooyoung exclaimed.
“I knew there was a reason you were going to the gym more often!” San added in.
“My s/o likes watching me workout.” Jongho tells them with a smile, and you look over at him in shock.
“How the fuck did you know that?”

You smiled to yourself as whoever had been meeting with Jongho walked out of his office. It was only 3:00, but you’d made sure to block out a couple of free hours for him at the end of the day.
You straightened the papers at your desk and locked your computer before walking in.
“Y/n.” He looked at you with a weary smile. “Who’s in next?” He put his head in his hands. “Do not tell me it’s Jeong Yunho. He’s a fine man, and a fine ambassador, but I cannot deal with the board today.”
“It’s not Yunho.” You could barely hold in your smile. “It’s no one.”
“Hm?” He looked at you with raised eyebrows. “Weird joke.”
“It’s not a joke.” You let yourself grin. “I cleared your schedule for the rest of the day.”
“It’s only three! There’s two hours left in the day!” He protested, but he was smiling now too.
“You need to relax, Mr. Choi.” You leaned on his desk. “You’re going to work yourself to death.”
“No, I’m not.” He grumbled.
“You’re stressed.” You leaned in closer to him. “Let me help you.”
Jongho glanced around, but the walls of his office that weren’t windows were solid. There was no way anyone could see in.
“You’re gonna help me?”
“Yeah.” You undid a couple buttons on your blouse with one hand. “I have a few ideas.”
Jongho groaned as you pulled back to finish taking off your shirt. You left it in a pile of satin on the floor. “Fuck, you look good.”
You smiled, looking at the ground. This arrangement had been going on for a while, but he still made you smile when he complimented you.
Choi Jongho was so fucking hot it wasn’t even fair. And past that, he was sweet. He bought you things, he checked in on you throughout the day as you worked, and he was so gentle when he fucked you, despite his dominance. You could barely believe it was you he chose to have a consensual workplace relationship with.
Jongho hummed, bringing you back to the present. “Why don’t you come over here, pretty girl?”
You nodded, walking behind the desk. He patted it, and you sat on its edge, your tongue darting out to lick your lips.
He laughed. “Nervous?”
“No.” You lied.
“Do I make you nervous?” His voice dropped into something more playful than before.
“No!”
“Don’t lie to me.” He whispered, his eyes searching your face before making their way down the rest of your body. “You’re beautiful, but you’re not good at hiding things.”
You blushed at that. “I’m not hiding anything.”
Jongho stood, taking a few steps forward to cage you between his arms, looking intently in your eyes. “Do you want me?”
You blinked. “Yes. I assumed that was obvious from me taking off my shirt and sitting on your desk.”
“I still want to hear you say it.” He leaned into your neck, licking at it before moving up to kiss your ear. “For me?”
“I want you.” You whispered, shivering as he gently bit your earlobe. “Fuck, Jongho, please.”
“Good girl.” He ran a hand through your hair, and then down to the base of your spine, pulling you closer to him. You moaned appreciatively, arching into him. “What do you want me to do?”
“Want you to make the decisions.” You whispered. “Want you to be in charge.”
“You want CEO Choi?” He laughed, and you rolled your eyes.
“That’s not what I meant, and you know it.”
“Oh, baby, I know what you meant.” He smiled. “You meant you want me to order you around, to make you do dirty things and watch, to fuck you so hard you can’t even think anymore.”
You swallowed, nodding. “Yes. That’s what I meant.”
“Okay, then I can give you that.” He smirked. “You know I love using you as my own personal stress toy.”
You whimpered as his hands came down to rest on your waist. “And how are you going to use me?”
“I think I’ll make you sit on my cock.” He hummed thoughtfully. “And I think you’ll look so pretty just sitting there while I get some paperwork done.”
“Paperwork?” You groaned. “I cleared your schedule just for this!”
“I still have things to do, doll, no appointments means I just have some time to catch up on things.”
“What about me being your stress toy?”
“Oh, that’ll come.” His grin had a note of mischief, and you settled down a bit, knowing that he wouldn’t leave you hanging… at least not all evening. “Now get on my lap.”
He unzipped his pants, freeing his cock and sitting down. He was already hard, and you smiled, knowing you’d done that to him.
“Don’t get all cocky.” He said. “That doesn’t mean it was you, you know. Maybe my paperwork gets me off.”
You laughed. Jongho had a good sense of humor, and you wished for just a second that he was actually yours, beyond fucking you when you had some time during the workday.
It wasn’t like he had anyone else. No wife or kids, no pictures on the desk. He always said he was married to the company.
You didn’t have time to think anymore when he grabbed your hips and yanked you off the desk, towards him. “I said get on my lap.”
You carefully took off your tights and underwear, leaving your skirt on the way you knew he liked. You looked in his eyes for just a moment— just a second— and began to ease down onto him. You paused about halfway down his impressive length, breathing for a moment.
Jongho wasn’t having any of that. He grabbed your hips again and snapped up into you.
You gasped, the way he was filling you up almost startling you. He was so long and so thick, it felt like he was practically in your lungs. “Jesus, Jongho.”
“Mr. Choi.” He grunted, adjusting the two of you so you were seated facing him on his lap, and he could reach around you to get his paperwork done. You rested your head on his shoulder, moving your hips against his in a desperate search for friction.
“Ah ah, none of that.” He said, and while his voice was playful, you knew he wasn’t joking. Jongho liked obedience and patience, neither of which were your strong suits, but luckily he seemed to enjoy fucking these lessons into you.
“Please?”
“No.”
He did rub your back, consolatory, as he did his paperwork with his other hand. You weren’t watching, your eyes were closed with the pleasure of his cock inside you and the lines he was currently tracing across your shoulder blades.
You might’ve fallen asleep, you weren’t entirely sure, but when you opened your eyes, it was dark outside. “When did it get to be night?”
“Did you fall asleep?” He sounded amused. “Sun set a little bit ago.”
“I hate winter.” You sighed. “Can you fuck me now?”
“Let me finish reading this contract, then yes.”
You wiggled on his cock, trying to get him to break and fuck you now, but his resolve was ironclad, as usual. You heard him writing, then the click of him capping his pen, then he was pulling you to look at him.
“Hi.” He smiled at you, and you were struck, not for the first time, by how goddamn attractive this man was.
“Hi.”
“Lay back on the desk for me.”
You carefully got off his lap, your knees screaming at you. “You’re paying for my physical therapy from bending my knees on a desk chair for hours on end.”
“I can do that.” He said, and you couldn’t tell if he was joking or not.
“Thank you.” You hurried to climb on top of the desk, laying on your back and spreading your legs for him.
He arranged himself between them, lining up with your dripping hole and teasing at your entrance. “This has been in here for a while, you sure you still want it?”
“Yes!” You yelped. “Yes, Jongho, please.”
“Good girl.” He whispered, and you shivered. With one hand on your hip, he carefully pushed back inside you.
“Fuck. Wow, Jongho, you feel good.”
“Good.” He said, and his voice had taken on the low timbre it usually did when you were about to get absolutely railed.
He began to move, his hips rocking slowly at first, then setting a punishing pace. He kept talking to you the whole time.
“Gorgeous little thing for me, don’t you feel good around me? So tight around my cock, fuck, baby, you’re perfect.”
Your stomach flipped. He’d definitely just meant that sexually. Your pussy was perfect. He didn’t think you were perfect.
Did he?
He said it again.
“Perfect, so fucking perfect for me, baby.”
Baby.
He didn’t usually call you baby.
You didn’t say anything, wondering. Was he fucking someone else? Was he talking to you?
His thrusts grew wilder, less controlled, more desperate. He was practically whimpering now.
“Baby, baby, so good for me, so perfect, can you cum? Can you cum on my cock? Wanna make you feel good.”
“Yes, Jongho, yes, I feel good,” You confirmed. “Don’t fucking stop. I’m going to— fuck, Jongho, can I cum?”
“Yes, baby, cum.”
He pushed inside you one more time, and you came together, jerking through your orgasm as Jongho moaned your name through his.
You both rested there, breathing, for a few moments.
“Baby?” You asked in a small voice.
“I’m— I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to— I mean, it slipped out.” He laughed uncomfortably, still inside you. “I didn’t mean to overstep.”
“No, you didn’t.” You sat up to pull his face to yours. “You can call me it again, if you want.”
His eyes searched yours. “Are you sure, baby?”
“Yes.”
He smiled, and you kissed him. It was gentle, mostly lips, no teeth or tongue. You could hear him giggle into your mouth.
“What!”
“I just feel lucky.”
“Why?”
“The prettiest person at this company just let me come inside them.”
You grinned. “Yeah, yeah, but like you said, let’s not get cocky. Maybe it was just that I was on top of the paperwork.”

•
The distant wail of police sirens blended with the thumping bass of music booming from downstairs. Sitting in front of the mirror, you carefully applied your makeup, smoothing each line and adjusting your hair with practiced precision.
Yet, despite the familiar routine, a heavy sigh escaped your lips. Your stomach twisted in uneasy knots, the uncertainty creeping in—did you really want to step out there and perform tonight?
You stood up, slipping on your shoes and preparing yourself for another night of work. Stepping out of the room, you noticed someone standing silently in the hallway, eyes fixed on the world outside through the window. It was Seonghwa—the one who played the role of the gang’s unofficial caretaker, almost motherly in his demeanor.
You approached him, hesitating slightly before asking, “Have you seen Jongho anywhere?”
Without tearing his gaze from the window, Seonghwa replied, “He’s with Mr. Kim right now.” He exhaled a plume of smoke, the faint haze curling around his face before his eyes flicked toward you, sharp and piercing.
You swallowed, your voice wavering as you continued, “Could you... could you let him know I need to speak with him downstairs? It’s about my weekly allowance. Thank you.”
Seonghwa’s stare lingered a moment longer, his expression unreadable as he took another slow drag from his cigarette. “He’ll be informed,” he said flatly before turning his attention back to the view outside.
You murmured another thanks, his detached demeanor leaving an uneasy feeling in your chest. Shaking it off, you made your way downstairs, the muffled music growing louder with each step.
Descending the stairs, the dim lights cast a hazy glow over the room, shadows dancing to the rhythm of the pounding music. The bass vibrated through the floor, mingling with the murmur of voices and clinking glasses. You made your way to the bar, the cool surface grounding you as you leaned against it.
Before diving into the night’s performance, you needed a drink to steady your nerves. You signaled to the bartender, the familiar ritual bringing a brief sense of comfort amidst the chaos.
“Hey, I didn’t think you worked behind the bar,” you remarked, surprised to see who was serving drinks tonight.
Turning around with a playful grin, Wooyoung leaned casually against the counter, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Yeah, well, I like to switch things up now and then,” he replied, effortlessly charismatic.
You couldn’t help but smirk. From what you knew about the gang, Wooyoung was the loud, energetic one, but beneath his playful exterior, he was one of the sharpest minds when it came to decision-making and planning. His unpredictable nature kept everyone on their toes—tonight was no exception.
He slid a glass across the bar toward you, his eyes flicking over you with curiosity. “Starting off the night with a drink, huh? Rough evening already?” He teased.
“Don’t make me tell you... I’m just exhausted from... stuff.” You sighed, your shoulders sagging as you lifted the glass to your lips, taking a long, deep gulp. The burn was familiar, grounding, and it was just what you needed to face the night ahead.
Wooyoung watched you, his playful demeanor softening for a moment, but he didn’t press further. He knew better than to pry.
Placing the empty glass back on the bar, you offered him a nod before turning away, the music growing louder as you approached the stage. The lights were low, the crowd buzzing with anticipation. You took a deep breath, steadying yourself as you stepped into the spotlight, ready to perform despite the exhaustion weighing heavy on your shoulders.
While you were performing, your eyes scanned the dimly lit room, drawn to a familiar figure standing in the corner. Jongho. His presence was unmistakable—calm, composed, yet intensely focused on you. He stood with his back against the wall, a glass in hand, the amber liquid swirling gently as he took measured sips. His expression was unreadable, stoic and serious, his eyes never leaving you.
As the music faded and the lights dimmed, you wrapped up your routine, the applause a distant hum as your attention stayed on him. Steeling yourself, you made your way over, weaving through the crowd until you were face-to-face.
Jongho’s gaze was cold, his features rigid, revealing nothing of his thoughts. His eyes flicked over you, analyzing, calculating, before finally meeting yours. The air between you felt heavy, the weight of his stare pressing down on you. You opened your mouth to speak but hesitated, the words caught in your throat as his expression remained unyielding.
“Jongho... Mr. Choi,” you began, your voice steady despite the tension in the air. “I need to discuss my weekly allowance.”
He took another slow sip from his glass, his eyes never leaving yours as he lowered it. “So, what do you need now?” His tone was even, almost indifferent, but the sharpness in his gaze was unmistakable.
You swallowed, feeling the knot tighten in your stomach, but you pressed on. “Well... I wanted to ask for a raise this month,” you admitted, your voice softening as you continued. “I need to buy some new clothes... mine are getting worn out.”
Jongho’s eyes flicked over you, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his face before his expression returned to its usual cold demeanor. He leaned back against the bar, his posture relaxed but his gaze unrelenting.
Jongho’s lips curled into a faint smirk, his eyes lingering on you for a moment longer than necessary. “Well, since you’re done with your dance session, you can come to my office. We’ll discuss it there.” His voice was calm, almost too casual, but his gaze was sharp, traveling slowly over your figure before meeting your eyes once more.
Your heart skipped a beat, but you maintained your composure, giving him a small nod. “Alright.”
Without another word, Jongho turned on his heel, making his way through the crowded room. You followed close behind, weaving through the sea of people as the music continued to pulse around you.
The journey felt longer than it should have, your mind racing with anticipation. You could feel his presence just ahead of you, calm and commanding, his pace steady and confident. Reaching his office, Jongho unlocked the door and stepped inside, holding it open just long enough for you to follow before closing it behind you.
The room was dimly lit, the faint glow from the city outside casting shadows along the walls. You stood there, your pulse quickening as you waited for him to speak, he locked the door behind you. Going to the desk, his back turned to you as he set his drink down on the desk.
"You know u are the one who ruins your own clothing." Jongho hums. Getting closer to you as he caresses your face with the back of his fingers. You look into his eyes and nod.
“Yes, sir. I know,” you whispered, your voice barely audible as his fingers lightly traced the curve of your bottom lip. His touch was gentle but commanding, sending a shiver down your spine. Your breath hitched, the tension in the room thickening—but before anything else could happen, a sharp knock echoed from the door.
Jongho’s expression shifted instantly, his jaw tightening as he pulled his hand away, irritation flickering in his eyes. He released a low, frustrated groan before turning on his heel and striding over to the door.
You stood frozen in place, nerves coiling tight as you watched him unlock and open it. Peeking over his shoulder, you recognized Seonghwa standing on the other side, his usual calm demeanor unchanged.
“Y/N was looking to talk to you,” Seonghwa said, his voice steady, his eyes flicking briefly to you before returning to Jongho.
Jongho sighed, his shoulders relaxing slightly. “I’m already talking to her,” he replied, his tone curt but controlled.
Seonghwa nodded, his expression unreadable as he took a step back. “Understood.” Without another word, he turned and walked away, his presence disappearing down the hallway.
Jongho shut the door with a click, his fingers lingering on the lock as he turned it firmly. His back remained to you for a moment, his shoulders tense, before he slowly turned around, his eyes locking onto yours once more. The air felt heavy again, the tension from before returning even stronger.
Jongho’s smirk returned, his eyes narrowing slightly as he crossed his arms, leaning casually against his desk. “So, here’s the deal,” he said, his voice low and commanding. “I need you to get back to work. Once your shift is over, come back to my office, and we’ll sort out your weekly allowance.”
His gaze lingered on you, a teasing glint in his eyes, his smirk never fading. The implication behind his words was clear, but his tone remained composed and controlled.
You felt your heart skip, but you managed a nod, keeping your expression neutral. “Yes, sir,” you replied, your voice steady even as nerves buzzed under your skin.
Without another word, you turned and unlocked the door, your fingers trembling just slightly. You could feel his eyes on you as you stepped out, the door closing behind you with a soft click.
Taking a deep breath, you steadied yourself before heading back to the main floor, the music and lights pulling you back into the rhythm of the night.
The hours dragged on, the music pounding relentlessly as you moved through the motions, one performance after another. By the time the clock hit 5 a.m., exhaustion weighed heavy on you. You sighed, wiping the sweat from your brow as you counted the night’s earnings—over $500. Not bad, but all you wanted now was to collapse in your bed.
Your mind was foggy, and the promise to see Jongho after your shift slipped away as fatigue took over. You made your way upstairs, each step feeling heavier than the last as you headed straight to your room.
But as you neared your door, the low murmur of voices caught your attention. It was coming from the room down the hall. The door was cracked open just enough for sound to seep through. You hesitated, curiosity stirring despite your exhaustion.
Quietly, you crept closer, careful to stay out of sight as you peered inside. Hongjoong stood in the center of the room, his back to you, his posture tense. Opposite him was Seonghwa, his arms crossed, face unusually serious. The air between them felt heavy, the conversation clearly intense.
You strained to listen, heart beating a little faster as you tried to make out their words, unsure of what you were about to overhear.
Your blood ran cold as the conversation became clearer.
“Well, we need to get rid of the body. Yunho said the guy tried threatening he would kidnap Y/N and kill her,” Hongjoong’s voice was low and sharp, barely contained anger seeping through his words.
Seonghwa’s glare was fierce, his jaw clenched as he responded, “I told the others that we’re not going back to a life of crime. We agreed to leave that behind. I say we punish Yunho for breaking our new rules.” His voice was cold, unyielding.
Hongjoong fell silent, his expression conflicted, but he didn’t argue.
Your heart plummeted, panic rising in your chest. Yunho... killed someone? And now the leaders were planning to punish him? But what did that even mean? You shuddered at the possibilities, dread coiling tight in your stomach.
You backed away from the door, feeling the world spin around you. It was suddenly hard to breathe, the air feeling heavy and suffocating. Without another thought, you turned and hurried back to your room, your mind racing with fear and confusion.
What were you supposed to do now? What would happen to Yunho? And if they found out you overheard, what would they do to you?
You stared at your reflection in the mirror, your face pale, eyes wide with lingering shock. Your heart was still racing, but you forced yourself to breathe, pushing down the fear and anxiety that threatened to consume you. With practiced precision, you buried your emotions, slipping back into a composed façade.
Your hands moved mechanically as you began undressing, shedding the remnants of the night’s performance in favor of something more comfortable. Just as you reached for a shirt, a sudden knock echoed from your door.
Your heart jumped, panic momentarily flaring before you snapped into action, quickly pulling on the closest set of clothes. You took a deep breath, forcing yourself to appear calm before opening the door.
Standing before you were Yunho. His expression was neutral, unreadable, his tall frame leaning casually against the doorframe.
“Oh! I thought you were Jongho... I completely forgot to see him after my shift,” you blurted out, your voice rushed as you tried to mask your nerves.
Yunho’s brow furrowed, his lips pressing into a thin line. “Unnecessary details,” he replied bluntly, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at you. There was no hint of warmth in his voice, just cold indifference.
You swallowed, trying to keep your composure. Every word from his mouth echoed in your mind, mingling with what you had just overheard. You couldn’t help but wonder—did he know? Did he suspect you had heard everything?
“What... what brings you here?” you asked, fighting to keep your voice steady, hoping he couldn’t sense your fear.
“Did you make money tonight? I need to pay Hongjoong back,” Yunho asked, his voice calm but firm, his eyes coldly scanning the room.
Your heart skipped a beat at the mention of Hongjoong, the memory of his conversation with Seonghwa flashing through your mind. You felt a lump form in your throat but forced yourself to stay composed.
“Y-Yeah... I made over $500 tonight,” you stammered, your voice barely steady. Not wanting to provoke his impatience, you quickly moved across the room to where you’d stashed your earnings.
Your fingers fumbled slightly as you retrieved the cash, the weight of his gaze heavy on your back. Turning around, you saw his eyes fixed on you, unblinking and expectant.
You took a few steps toward him, holding out the money. “Here. This is everything I made tonight.”
Yunho’s eyes flicked down to the cash before reaching out, his fingers brushing against yours as he took the bills from your hand. His expression remained unreadable, his demeanor cool and detached as he began counting the money.
You watched him in silence, your heart racing as you waited for his reaction, unsure of what he would do next.
Yunho’s eyes lingered on the cash for a moment before he tucked it into his pocket. “I’ll be right back,” he said curtly, his voice giving nothing away as he turned and left the room.
Your chest tightened with worry, the memory of Hongjoong and Seonghwa’s conversation echoing in your mind. You couldn’t just sit back and wait.
Quietly, you slipped out of your room, trailing behind Yunho at a safe distance. You kept your footsteps light, your body pressed against the walls as you moved through the dimly lit hallway. The air felt colder, the silence unsettling as you watched him approach Hongjoong’s office.
He knocked once before entering, the door clicking shut behind him. You crept closer, your heart pounding as you leaned in, pressing your ear to the door.
Muffled voices filtered through, their tones low and serious. You could barely make out Hongjoong’s voice, cold and commanding, followed by Yunho’s calm but measured replies.
Your breath caught as the conversation grew more intense, the tension palpable even through the thick wood of the door. You pressed closer, desperately trying to hear more, hoping that Yunho would make it out unscathed.
Suddenly, the voices stopped. Your blood ran cold, panic flaring as you realized the room had gone completely silent. You held your breath, frozen in place, waiting to see what would happen next.
You pressed yourself closer to the door, heart pounding as the conversation grew clearer.
“Yunho,” Hongjoong’s voice was cold, his tone laced with disappointment. “Seonghwa and I know about your little incident earlier. You do realize we agreed—no more of this. We’re not allowed to get involved in these crimes again... not after what happened last time. It almost got Seonghwa killed.”
There was a heavy pause, the weight of Hongjoong’s words sinking in. Through the door, you could feel the tension radiating from the room.
Yunho let out a sigh, his voice quieter as he replied, “I... I know. I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.” There was a genuine remorse in his tone, but you could also hear the frustration buried beneath it.
The room went silent again before Hongjoong’s voice cut through, his words cold but calm. “Look, we’re not going to do anything drastic... but you could lose your title for this. We made rules for a reason. If you can’t follow them, you don’t deserve the position you have.”
You could almost picture the scene: Hongjoong’s eyes locked on Yunho, his presence imposing and unwavering. There was the sound of a chair scraping against the floor, and you realized Hongjoong had stood up.
The air grew heavy, your chest tightening as you heard his footsteps approach Yunho. “We can’t afford any more mistakes,” Hongjoong continued, his voice low. “Get your act together... or I’ll make sure you regret it.”
Your blood ran cold, your hands trembling as you clung to the door. You knew Yunho was in trouble, and if Hongjoong was serious, things could get a lot worse. You held your breath, waiting to see how Yunho would respond.
“Yes, boss,” Yunho’s voice was subdued, obedient, his defiance seemingly extinguished. You heard footsteps approaching the door, and your heart leapt in panic.
Without wasting another second, you darted away from the door, hurrying back to your room as quietly as possible. You slipped inside, shutting the door softly behind you, your heart pounding in your chest.
Sitting on your bed, you tried to catch your breath, your mind racing with everything you’d just heard. You couldn’t shake the coldness in Hongjoong’s voice, the threat lingering ominously. What would happen to Yunho now? And if they found out you were eavesdropping...
A sharp knock on your door snapped you out of your thoughts. Your heart jumped, panic briefly flashing through you. You took a deep breath, steadying yourself before calling out, “Come in.”
The door opened, and to your surprise, it was Jongho who stepped inside. He closed the door behind him, his posture relaxed but his eyes sharp as they locked onto you.
“Oh!” you blurted out, guilt from spying on Yunho and Hongjoong still fresh in your mind. You quickly composed yourself, remembering why he was here. “Oh, right... my allowance...” you muttered under your breath, feeling slightly embarrassed for forgetting.
Jongho raised an eyebrow, a knowing smirk playing on his lips as he approached you. “Did you have a good night at work?” he asked, his tone casual, but his eyes seemed to be searching for something, observing you closely.
You nodded, keeping your response brief, the tension from earlier still weighing heavily on you. Jongho stood over you, his presence imposing as his eyes lingered on you, his expression unreadable.
Before he could say anything, another knock interrupted the moment. You sighed, the fatigue and anxiety catching up to you as you turned your head toward the door. Jongho’s eyes narrowed, annoyance flickering across his face as he looked over, clearly displeased by the interruption.
The door creaked open, and Yunho stood there, his face void of emotion, his eyes flicking between you and Jongho. The tension in the room grew heavy, the air thickening as the two men stared each other down.
“It was my turn tonight,” Jongho snapped, his irritation evident as he crossed his arms, his eyes narrowing at Yunho. His posture was firm, claiming his authority without hesitation.
Yunho’s jaw tightened, his eyes hardening as he stood his ground. “We both share her,” he retorted coldly, his voice laced with defiance. “And if anything, I was already about to fuck her... I just had to pay Hongjoong back first.”
Your heart skipped a beat, your face flushing a deep shade of red as their words sank in. Their bluntness left no room for misinterpretation, and the realization hit you hard—they were both in the mood, and they both wanted you tonight.
You swallowed, the tension between them palpable as they stood on either side of you, their eyes flicking to you before returning to each other. You could feel the heat rising in your cheeks, your mind spinning as you processed the situation.
Jongho’s eyes narrowed, his irritation turning into something darker, his stance unwavering as he stepped closer, his gaze never leaving Yunho. “You had her last time. Tonight, she’s mine.” His voice was firm, possessive, his authority undeniable.
Yunho’s lips curled into a mocking smirk; his demeanor calm but his eyes flashing with challenge. “That’s not how it works, Jongho. We agreed to share, remember?” His tone was taunting, his posture relaxed but his intent unmistakable.
Caught between them, you could feel the tension crackling in the air, their rivalry intensifying right in front of you. Your pulse quickened; your body frozen as you realized you were the center of their standoff.
"Fine. you are so damn greedy now." Jongho hisses. "You can go after me." He finished as he starts lifting your shirt up exposing your skin. You just sat there in shock flickering your eyes on both of them.
"I am not going after you." Yunho glares at Jongho. Jongho smirks pulling you onto his lap. "We are sharing her tonight." Yunho's voice got deeper. You look into Jongho's eyes nervously feeling your face heat up. You shifted on Jongho's lap trying to sit more comfortably until you felt Yunho's hands travel up your body, snaking over your neck caressing your cheeks. You soon started leaning towards Jongho to kiss him, Jongho's lips crashed into yours as you both started making out.
You felt Yunho removing the rest of your clothes off, exposing your entire body to both of them. Jongho was the first to pull away and reattach his lips onto your neck sucking and kissing the skin. You moaned and slowly started moving your hips on Jongho grinding on him. Jongho groaned at the feeling, gripping your waist to keep you moving on him.
"She is so fucking needy." Jongho teased looking up at Yunho. "She is already soaking." Jongho let go of your neck and waist pushing you off causing you to whine. Yunho smirked and immediately pulled you onto his lap.
"Is that so?" Yunho smirked whispering and nipping on your earlobe. You nod softly as Yunho re-adjusts his position underneath you and places both of his hands on your breasts, squeezing them as they were stress balls. You whimpered at the feeling, Yunho smirking at your reactions. Yunho resting his chin on your shoulder as he continues to play with your breasts, squeezing and rubbing them.
Jongho on the other hand was now unzipping his pants, pulling his cock out. Yunho groaned as you started shifting on his lap softly grinding on his crotch.
"Fuck, you are needy." Yunho hisses. You hum in response. "Okay stop teasing me Y/N." Yunho throws you off of him and pins you on the bed.
"So, who is taking what tonight?" Jongho asks. Yunho sighs, looking down at you.
"Actually, I will take her mouth. I want to see her pretty face as I fuck her." Jongho smirks. Yunho nods just accepting it. Yunho flips you over and forces you on your knees as he stands behind you. You watch Jongho go over you and kneel down in front of you.
Yunho slides his hand over in between your folds rubbing two fingers back and forth before doing anything else. You immediately start moaning trying to close your legs together but his other hand grips one thigh to keep them open.
"Yunho!" You moan trying to stay calm, but you can't. Soon Jongho grips your face and presses his tip against your lips forcing himself in. Your eyes started watering but kept moaning and now gagging.
"Fuck..." Jongho curses now gripping ahold of your hair holding it up. You felt Jongho's cock twitch inside your mouth and soon you felt Yunho's hand leave, being replaced with his cock. You felt your insides go into knots as Yunho shoved himself deep inside you.
"She is completely wet..." Yunho breathing got heavy as he slowly started thrusting in and out of you.
"She is enjoying this too much." Jongho groans. You feel Jongho's tip hit the back of your throat causing you to gag and cough out.
"Too much to handle?" Jongho looks down at you keeping himself deep inside your throat. You look up at him feeling completely dizzy, eyes tearing up and you moan louder sending vibrations against Jongho's cock as Yunho slams harder into you. You felt your legs going numb as you kept trying to hold yourself up.
"Stop shaking like a weak scared puppy." Yunho groans and grips your waist tightly, sure to leave bruises tomorrow. You moan out and immediately pull away from Jongho's cock. Drool and saliva stick to your bottom lip and the tip of his cock as you moan loudly from the pleasure Yunho is giving you.
"Fucking bitch." Jongho snaps pulling your hair back and slamming himself back into your mouth. You have no chance to breath or moan. You try to grab ahold of jongho's thighs trying to hold on. Jongho pushes your head deeper, soon you started swirling your tongue around his shaft.
"Fuck I am close..." Jongho curses. Yunho groans bucking his hips into you. Wasn't very long until Jongho came right inside your mouth. Yunho on the other hand was still fucking you and Jongho finally pulled his cock out as he looked down at you leaning towards you.
"Make sure you swallow it all." Jongho speaks as you try to. Your nose scrunches up, but you just obey his order and continue moaning. Yunho hisses as you feel his cock twitch inside you.
"Fuck..." He curses as he releases inside you. You heavily breath out, chest puffing in and out as you try to catch your breath. You whine as Yunho pulls out of you.
"She is completely fucked." Jongho’s smirk deepened as he reached out, his fingers gripping your chin, tilting your face up toward him.
His touch was firm, commanding, yet there was a certain level of control behind it. Your breath hitched, your body tense under his intense gaze. Your eyes were clouded with exhaustion, struggling to stay open after the long night. Everything felt hazy.
"Look at me," Jongho murmured, his voice low but demanding. His thumb brushed over your cheek, his smirk never fading. "I think I can do another round with her." Jongho hums looking into your eyes.
"We can swap places this time. I want to see her pretty face now." Yunho gets up switching sides with Jongho. You felt completely weak and didn't think you could handle a 2nd round with both of them.
You looked at Yunho completely tired. He leans down towards you sitting on his knees.
"You are doing a good job tonight..." Yunho hums caressing your face. You shifted on your knees looking into his eyes blushing as his compliment.
Very soon you felt Jongho slam deep into you causing you to cry out. Your arms gave up and immediately fell onto Yunho's lap feeling over stimulated inside.
"Get up." Yunho picks your face up harshly squeezing your face. You look up at him moaning once again as Jongho grips your waist, pounding into you.
"Jongho!" You moan loudly out gripping onto Yunho's thighs, digging your nails into them looking up at Yunho. Yunho smirked as he presses his cock against your lips. You leave a soft lick against the tip, moaning against it.
"Fuck." Yunho hisses at the feeling. You feel your insides completely melting.
"I don't even think you can fit me in your mouth..." Yunho hums as you continue licking and moaning against him.
"Hm? Got nothing to say?" Yunho smirks. You turn your head to the side but immediately get turned back towards Yunho. He grips your face harshly causing you to whine.
"I bet she is enjoying this." Jongho groans. Yunho nods in agreement as he sits up and pushes himself down your throat. You immediately cough at the feeling of it hitting the back of your throat. You try to swirl your tongue around the shaft as Yunho starts bucking his hips into your throat.
"Fuck. Y/N." Yunho groans throwing his head back as he continues. "She definitely is..." He grips ahold of your hair biting his lower lip.
"She is taking us very well... She deserves a great allowance this week." Jongho readjusts himself before slamming back into you. You were soaked and messy all over.
"I am close again..." Jongho moaned as his thrusts got sloppier, you soon felt another release inside you. Yunho was still fucking you and not very long until he came inside your mouth as well.
"Make sure you swallow it..." Yunho huffs out as he pulls himself out. You nod and try your best feeling completely wrecked and messy.
"I... Can't do anymore..." You whimper feeling your body tremble as you fell onto Yunho's lap after the sessions.
"You did amazing tonight..." Yunho caresses your face, and you can tell they were satisfied with you.
"You need to take a shower and get ready for bed. We will pay you later." Jongho helps you up from Yunho's lap and you nod slightly leaning against Jongho completely exhausted.
"We might need to help her take a shower." Jongho laughs at how weak you are now.
"N-No. I can do it." You huff out pushing yourself up and grabbing clothes to take a shower.
After your shower, you rushed straight to bed, exhaustion weighing down on you. The moment your head hit the pillow, your body relaxed, ready to finally drift into much-needed sleep. But before you could completely unwind, the door creaked open.
Jongho.
You groaned, pulling the blanket up slightly. “Please… I’m too tired. No more,” you whined, your voice muffled against the pillow.
To your surprise, Jongho chuckled. “No, I’m not here for that,” he reassured you, his tone unusually light. “I wanted to give you a gift… along with your allowance.”
That caught your attention. You peeked up at him curiously as he approached your bedside, his usual confident expression softening ever so slightly.
“I was going to do it earlier,” he continued, irritation flashing across his face, “but Yunho interrupted.” His annoyance was evident, but he quickly shook it off, reaching into a bag.
“Don’t tell or show the others I got you this,” he muttered, almost embarrassed as he pulled out a plush teddy bear. The sight of it was almost comical in his hands, so out of place for someone like him. He looked almost… defeated, as if giving it to you made him feel exposed in a way he wasn’t used to.
Your heart warmed at the gesture. A small, genuine smile formed on your lips as you reached for the plush, hugging it tightly against your chest. “It’s very cute. Thank you, Jongho…” you murmured, your voice soft as you nestled into the comfort of the gift.
Jongho cleared his throat, clearly uncomfortable with the moment stretching on. “Anyways… goodnight, Y/N,” he said quickly before turning to leave, his usual composed self-cracking just slightly.
As the door shut behind him, you buried your face into the plush bear, a rare sense of comfort washing over you. With a deep breath, you finally allowed sleep to take over, the tension of the night fading away.

i’ve been thinking about this all day. i’m so touch starved someone save me.
bf!jongho and a partner that struggles with migraines or just frequent headaches.
something tells me he’d just be so good at taking care of you. will ask you what you want/need before staring anything. and when you just groan and fall into his chest he knows it’s all on him. he’s a pro, though. and will let you lay down on the couch while he gets everything together.
turns the lights in the apartment down as low as he can without completely turning them off. and heads to the bathroom to grab you a cool rag to put on your forehead.
will come back to the couch and offer up his lap to you (though he makes it clear that you don’t have to move from your spot if you don’t want to) and of course you accept his offer. laying your head on the cushion on his lap and letting him gently place the cool rag over your head.
he pulls a blanket over your face to block out the light but continues to play with your hair and stroke your arm. “we can stay here as long as you need.”
i’m also thinking about wooyoung coming in after you’ve just drifted off to sleep. and seeing you under a blanket with your head on jongho’s lap has him thinking the worst. so he makes a very loud, dramatic, disgusted sound. to which jongho responds by scolding him with a loud whisper and chucking a pillow right in his face.
