STOP IT NONNY! listen. they really truly could have brought tmmy back!!!!! they have shown that he was / is very important to buck, enough to use up all his flour for baking to stop himself from reaching out! but that interview yesterday?!!? where he spent the entirety of it going on and on about how he was caught off guard, how tommy was feeling all sorts of ways, but somehow also throwing it all back on tim? okay dude. where was the praise for oliver and his performance on how he dealt with his character coming out as bisexual? where was the praise for the network in letting them explore a relationship like that in the first place? no, he spent the entire time going "woe, is me!" so yeah. callum is gonna go in a totally different direction with his time on the show because he's an actual professional.

I love Intoxicating Fear, I do, but it is so hard to write?? I am bad at endings, the third act writing, it is so difficult and a lot of brain power goes into actually writing it— so that’s why updates are so sporadic for IF— even though I know it’s most people’s favourite series.

Half of me wants to write Intoxicating Fear all out and just get it done, and maybe I will, but the other half wants so bad to update all my other more “fun” and less heavy fics, if that makes sense??? It makes sense to me, I just kind of dread writing IF because it never feels satisfying or good enough and it makes me doubt my writing abilities

I also like writing for the fics that are less popular too, because I know some people adore them and— like A benignant mischief, is so different from anything else on this blog, like fantasy whump — and I love how exciting and fresh it is to try and worldbuild — but BECAUSE of my many other current WIPS [which is all my fault yes] I haven’t touched that series in months, need to dust off the cobwebs and I don’t think it’s fair, cause I love my elf boys and my king and knight…

When I first saw Tormented Souls, my brain immediately reminded me of Clock Tower 3 so I’m not entirely sure if I’m taking bits from Tormented Souls or from Clock Tower 3 in this situation hahahaha

Anyway, let’s mix them up.

Evie and Jacob are twins who have grown apart after their father’s death. They leave in opposite sides of the world and they’ve lost contact with one another years ago.

Deliberately.

It was a way to distance themselves with the hyper competitive household they grew up with. Staying away from one another helped them grow and see things in a different light.

The annoyance and jealousy they felt to one another blinded them before but, by being apart and living their own lives, they realize they had similar feelings and held similar suffering in the Frye house.

Then they both received a letter.

From their dead father.

So they returned to their childhood home, a mansion that has been with the Frye family for a century or so.

Jacob parks behind and enters through the kitchen because that’s the only key he has. Evie, on the other hand, enters through the front door, pass the expansive hedge garden that had become too overgrown from a decade of neglect.

Neither of them know for sure that the other is coming but…

They had hope.

And hope was the most cruel torture of all.

Unorganized Notes:

George Westhouse is an old friend of their father who has been taking care of their home. Or so they thought. It seemed that George has been doing jack shit because the house is filled with dust and the gardens haven’t been tended to.

If this was a game, the player would alternate between Evie and Jacob at given points and an ongoing theme is that they always miss each other.

They both meet a young woman called Lydia who tells them that the house is haunted by the souls of the tormented. They think she’s lost her marbles, especially after she says her name is Lydia Frye. They both know that their father is an only child so, if she was Frye, she had to be a very distant relative.

There’s a labyrinth underneath the basement and that’s where the ‘good stuff’ is.

That’s also where they find each other.

To be more exact… they find their twin, young and already dead.

The twist is that this isn’t a time travel setup, this is an alternate world plot set up by an Ethan Frye who lost not just his wife but also his two children.

There are actually 3 alternate worlds in play.

Evie Frye’s alternate world where Jacob died in a fire five years after Ethan Frye’s death.

Jacob Frye’s alternate world where Evie died in an accident while in India with her husband.

They both learn about this during their stay in the house because the house they’re ‘coming home to’ is ground zero of the 3rd alternate world. The world of Ethan Frye who plans to use them as a sacrifice to bring back his family.

One of the things Jacob finds is a letter addressed to him, sent to his world’s old house (and transported into the 3rd world together with Jacob), about the death of Evie Frye and asking him if he would like to come to the funeral in India.

On Evie’s side, it’s actually a newspaper left to rot in one of the rooms with a phone still attached, like someone (George) had wanted to call ‘someone’ to tell them about the fire that killed the famous Maxwell Roth and his rumored lover Jacob Frye.

And Lydia?

Lydia isn’t exactly real. She’s a personification of the worlds mixing with one another, a ghost from an alternate timeline where Evie and Jacob both lived and reconciled. She’s not the real Lydia Frye, granddaughter of Jacob and grandniece of Evie. She’s a ‘what if’ given human form to assist in carving all three timelines away from one another.

And the only way to do it is to kill the insane Ethan Frye before he finished his ritual.

Imma be honest, this started out as Tormented Souls + Clock Tower type situation but turned into a Koudelka inspired idea down the line hahahaha.

Anyway, the ending would probably be Evie and Jacob going back to their respective worlds after a tearful goodbye where they both say what they wished they could have said to their dead twin.

… the good ending anyway.

Of course, in true, survival horror fashion, there’s multiple endings, including one where Ethan wins and he actually revives his dead family. But, well… let’s just say that Ethan Frye was successful in reviving his wife but… it’s not pretty.

Softening down the narrative. Remove the messiness and difficult character traits.

Hello! If you don't mind me asking, do you have any hcs on what would happen after the events in Agua Caliente? Like, how serious would their relationship become? Would Patroclus be more open to the concept of reinviting sex to their relationship? How is Achilles' smoothie shop/Pat's degree going? Would Achilles finally get to invite his sons to his house? Any news of my favorite couple would be wonderful!

The boys visit Achilles in chapter 15. He sees them every other weekend. He also ends up getting them for Christmas. The boys meet Patroclus at the smoothie shop along with Achilles' employees, and Christmas is the first time he comes over to spend time with them in a more official capacity. It goes about as well as expected. They like him when his hands are full of presents. Otherwise...

Patroclus did not buy an air mattress specifically for fucking in the desert for nothing. He gets there eventually. He also ends up going on a camping trip with Achilles and the boys, which is a strange experience for him. Pyrrhus is really not into having Patroclus around at all, so it's a slow adjustment. Oneiros is pretty chill with it because Pat will play whatever game he wants. Deidamia grows used to her sons being returned to her covered in cat hair.

Things get a little tense around the time Patroclus finishes his PhD. Patroclus has been very stern with himself about not revolving his life around Achilles and his needs, so he originally casts his net wide when looking for jobs. Achilles can't move farther away from his sons than San Diego (and also he has that whole business thing), and Patroclus gets really closed off during this time. He eventually realizes he is standing in the way of his own happiness here, decides to only look for jobs in San Diego, and invites Achilles and all the cats to move in with him.

Over the years, beach volleyball ends up becoming too much of a challenge on the knees of these tall, middle-aged men, and they pick up hand ball or pickle ball or whatever that game is. By this time, Achilles is absolutely covered in tattoos.

Thank you for the thoughtful question. It's nice to think I have something to add, though I'm not sure it'll be helpful.

I think it's entirely natural to be protective of George. And he did veto it, and the Beatles were a democracy. Obviously that becomes complicated once half the band have passed on, and you could even ask, "what would Lennon think of 'Real Love'? or Anthology?"

For my money, it's almost too thorny a thing for me to feel I have a say in at all. Once someone has passed--indeed to some degree, once someone has put a creation out into the world--it's not entirely theirs to say. And Lennon and Harrison both have estates in the hands of others who are now in the business of making decisions for them. You can speculate about their motives, of course. Is it about the money? Or do they think maybe he'd have changed his mind, with the changes in technology or the mellowing of age? Would George have supported All Things Must Grass? Or were they thinking about the time he said he didn't care what happened to his songs after he died, do whatever you want (I am paraphrasing because I can't find the video at the moment)?

So I guess I'm in this middle ground of thinking, it's fine to think this isn't right and isn't ethical. I think you have a leg to stand on. On the other hand, I think it's also the decision of Olivia and Dhani and Yoko/Sean and Paul and Ringo. And I definitely understand, at their age, wanting this one last little bit of all four of them to go out into the world. I definitely feel that if any of it was actually constructed out of whole cloth it'd be a hard no from me. But as it is, I guess I feel both sides are defensible, and it's coming, and the decision now is whether to support it with your money/streams/attention or not.

This isn't really that easy of a question, Nonny, if I'm being honest. Are you looking for something in particular? Or merely just curious? It's strange to think that it's been ten years, and for the most part, I've forgotten a lot of the details.

I didn't do a whole lot of tumbling until the show was over -- before then I was mostly a lurker, and spent more time on the now defunct glee forum and on the klaine lj site, which you can still find but isn't functioning all that well.

I came and went from a lot of tumblr spaces around that time. There were people I followed because I enjoyed their takes on things. Outside of people who were popular because of their fanfic, I'm not sure I can point to one blog and say -- oh yeah, this was a BNF. Because we kept to our own little circles back then, you just kind of found a group and went with it. *shrugs*

I think nearly all of them have long since left tumblr, and most of their blogs have been deactivated. Of the few who are left -- all of them have a vastly different blogs and are unrecognizable as once glee blogs.

I've been trying to resist sending you this ask because I can't help but feel like you have enough to do/write already with your three stories and all of the asks/prompts/requests you must get. But the idea of a chivalry AU and the everything that was chapter 21 of "Be My Guest" and the talk about knights has all finally made me cave in and toss this prompt/scenario into your ask box.

Raphael reacting to another fiend, for one reason or another, striking his little mouse during negotiations (in relation to Raphael's campaign for rulership of the nine circles). Assuming Raphael shuts that down immediately, how would he react to Tav requesting that he let them deal with the transgressor themself (but Raphael can tell they are planning something)? If this request is agreed to, Tav immediately challenges the offender to a duel (after the fiend is fully healed if Raphael injured the aggressor) in front of everyone else present. Tav then - to the surprise of everyone including Raphael - proceeds to absolutely dominate the battle, leaving the offending devil within an inch of life and then forcing the fiend to grovel at Raphael's feet for forgiveness for the unsightly behavior during a negotiation, stating that Raphael's mercy is the only thing that will spare the transgressor from a death by their blade.

Hello. I wanted to ask for some thing soft and heart warming for assassins. These guys rarely get enough kindness. The life of an assassin is just too dark and full of violence for a human. They can hardly trust, hardly love, hardly enjoy the moment and worse ot all "They didn't even choose to live like that." They were just humans wanted to live but turned into killing machines is just... not fair. These guys(Altair, Ezio, Desmond) really need some one to take care of them after hard missions, heal their wounds, hear their words and help them get through all rough things ahead of them.

If you don't mind it would be perfect if you use the wild assassins that were some times behaving like animals. Use girlfriends, friends and boy friends or whatever that is better. And I think it would be much more exiting if Altair had joined Maria during her journey. That during a fight Altair lost his controll and even hurt Maria but she just calmed him down so he wouldn't get afraid to get close to people he loves.

Anyway I love you. I love your blog. Take care of yourself angle.

Leonardo did not ask any questions, he simply opened the door to his workshop and guided Ezio to the small room with a bathtub with a gentle push. Ezio’s hands were still drenched in the blood of Uberto Alberti.

He needed to return to his mother and sister.

He needed to get them out of Firenze.

But…

His hands wouldn’t stop shaking.

Clothes that felt so big…

It belonged to him now because…

Ezio nodded and closed his eyes, letting the water warm his body.

The back garden of Villa Auditore wasn’t as maintained as it used to be but Rebecca couldn’t help but think it was just as beautiful as it was before.

“Yeah. Just…” Desmond looked at his hands, “Had an episode.”

“Oh.” Rebecca hesitated for a moment before she asked, “Want to talk about it?”

“I felt him.” Desmond said quietly, “Altaïr’s son…”

“Eh?”

“He was… so small.” Desmond dropped his hands and sighed as he looked up at the sky once more, “And… I felt Altaïr’s…”

“Happiness.” Desmond said so quietly that Rebecca almost didn’t hear him.

Desmond sighed as he admitted, “Sorry. Just… wanted to get some fresh air after that.”

“Don’t worry about.” Rebecca’s lips curved into a small smile as she said, “I told Lucy and Shaun that the Animus needed some time to update anyway. And…”

Rebecca leaned close as she whispered, “The update won’t finish until I type the code.”

Desmond turned to look at her as she leaned back, blinking with an unsure expression on his face. Rebecca’s smile became gentler and she patted Desmond’s back as she said, “So… take your time, Desmond.”

Desmond’s eyes briefly widened before he looked away.

He kept his eyes on the evening sky as he whispered, “Thanks…”

Rebecca simply patted his back once more and said nothing more.

With the changes they have made, I am wondering your opinion if that is something they'd keep in, or if they'll save it for modern day? Or do you think they'll change her storyline completely?

Claudia will die. In Paris. Gruesomly.

She has to die, for a lot of reasons (and none of them have to do with the racial recasting, though of course this show will likely tap into that as well!). Here is a good post on some of the historical context of it and what it means for the show.

She has already been referred to in past tense on the show, too. And if she were alive Louis would not be sharing her diaries, he would be searching for her.

Her death is a major point in the books, a cataclysmic event, and it carries repercussions. Repercussions which would change the whole of the series if changed, and given what we know already, that is not going to happen.

So no. They won’t change that, imho.

Hello! It’s three days until a solar eclipse. Would Agua Caliente Pat and Achilles have plans?

The eclipse path of totality is nowhere near California, and I doubt they'd have much interest in traveling to Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, southern Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, or western New York in early April (or ever). West Coast people can be so attached to their precious coast.

However, the national park service does show which parks will be in the path of totality, and I guess I could see Patroclus using this as an excuse to visit one he hasn't seen before. The the Ozark riverway would be a good one, except it's not open yet. And if they did visit, it would be all mud. And ugly. So... scratch that. Why would they ever leave California? Do they even have smoothies in Missouri?

I think the better plan would be to wait for the eclipse in Spain in August 2026.
