If there is something really wrong with my pony I might just teeter off the edge of the cliff I’ve been sitting on. Nothing has been easy since I got her and I’m worn out. But if there is something wrong with her I know I won’t be able to stop myself from hitting rock bottom. I can barely get out of bed in the morning as it is—she is the only thing that keeps me going to work at the moment. (And why? She is actually a really horrible little creature. No one knows why I love her, myself included. I am not above admitting that she is an utter Brat. But I love her. And I have always wanted to enjoy her, and—well over a year later—every day is still a struggle. Still.)

If there's one thing I've seen over and over again in the Dracula Daily + Re: Dracula fandom, it's the desire for an animated adaptation. Not of media-inspired-by, but of Dracula itself. And so, I've made:

...something that is decidedly not animated.

Yet.

I'm hoping to get Dracula Reanimated (tentative name) in exactly 1 year from now, by the end of DracDaily's 2025 run, perhaps even the beginning of it if I'm really good. But in all honesty, it could take till 2026 given the teeny complication that 1) I've no animation skills whatsoever 2) fulltime job.

So, I hope you'll stay around for the next 2 years at least to see this completed.

In the meanwhile, if you'd like to support a project by actual professionals, try @theholmwoodfoundation . It's a found footage horror fiction podcast by @georgiacooked and @fiotrethewey set in a time long after the events of Dracula, and yet the characters find themselves haunted (literally) by vestiges of the past.

Ko-Fi requeest for T! day 50!

(they gave me a couple ideas for the prompt too, one of them being a poetry read! i thought it might be cute if instead of snapping they did like. soft little howls)

The second part was extra as a v fun exercise! I think werewolves in general would have a lot of diversity in style and shifted/half-shifted forms so this gave me an excuse to play around with that :) thought I should include a werehyena bc that's the wolf substitute for the shape-shifters of African folklore (and *jaguars in south america, tigers in India, etc!)

Also in doing a little bit of research for Black werewolf characters I found this super cool werewolf comic I wanted to highlight by Michelin Hess, a Black author/artist! She has other work that you should check out too. In fact, feel free to shout out any of your favorite Black artists in the comments or tags! Or let me know the other ways y'all are celebrating this month :)

What if they actually did make a show for Luce and her friends? What kind would it be? I've been thinking about this all morning and I think a show like Gravity Falls would be really exciting, or like The Backyardigans if they want it to be for an even younger audience. I imagine no matter what it'll be educational of course, but in what way?

i'm always yapping about phandom love and just how much i've enjoyed coming back to this community so i'll keep this short and sweet but truly, i appreciate every single one of you so much. i've felt so accepted and appreciated on here and i can't even express how much fun it's been just to be *in* the phandom again, in this golden era after watching them for so many years and just being able to share this space with all of you funny, talented, wonderful people. i've gotten into creative outlets for my dnp obsession like writing, making moodboards, etc again + just sharing my rambles/dnp thoughts on here and i cannot emphasize enough the fact that i literally think about dnp 24/7 and share that with no one else in my life so being able to do it so freely on here is everything to me. ok enough sap. ty and can't wait to grow and practice more phannieism with you all 🌸💖🌸
