Sam gets offered to host a parade float for Mardi Gras in his hometown. Processed to tell Crowley about this and offers that a group of students could cme.

Crowley tells the main cast to vote/offer up a student to go. A student that's most definitely going is Sebek.

During the trip they run into Sam's cousin, Twst Tiana. Both talk about Sam visiting their grandmother who lives deep in the bayou. Queue some Sam lore.

Sam shops for supplies for his float, while the children explore and have fun. Fun proceeds to end when a stray magic spell/potion hits them, turning them into animals.

Sam comes back and sees students turned animal and has even more reason to visit Grandma.

Tells students that he's essentially estranged from his grandmother as she heavily dislikes his UM, and both had a really bad fight and haven't talked in years. But for the students, he'll just have to ‘suck it up,’ for them.

During the adventure to Grandma, they meet Louis, a crocodile who dreams of becoming a famous trumpet musician. Bonds with Sebek despite Sebek being Human(begrudgingly admitted) and isn't an actual crocodile.

Queue a Twistune of “When we're human” and a few fights with random creatures.

Finally at grandma's house and BOOM! She isn't visibly happy to see Sam… Sam lies about being sorry for the fight despite him not actually being sorry, and proceeds to tell her about the students’ predicament and ask for her to change them back. Sam and his grandma fight with lines like “You only come to me when you need something” and “You never truly care did you,”. Sam leaves and tells the students that he needs to get back to make his float and to “figure it out yourselves” as he doesn't want to be back here ever.

Sometime after that, grandma tells them why they started fighting in the first place. Queue more Sam lore.

you know i used to think it was weird how sora and roxas have such different personalities for supposedly being 'the same person' but after playing a few games i sort of realized that they do have similar personalities, because roxas acts how sora does when he's under extreme stress.

compare roxas to sora in, say, kh1. that's where a lot of peoples idea of sora's personality comes from. sora is generally very upbeat and optimistic in that game. not very similar to roxas, right?

but let's switch the game and talk about a game where sora is ABSOLUTELY GOING THROUGH IT. chain of memories.

sora's resting state is melancholy in com. he only ever cheers up in short bursts, usually when he's joking around with friends. just like roxas.

he's quick to anger, and tends to lash out at the organization members. best example of this is when larxene makes him 'remember' namine, and he swings at her repeatedly, even after she's gone. he only stops when jiminy is able to snap him out of it.

you know what scene that resembles?

sora, while a bit more on the angry side and less sad, continues to act like this in kh2 when he's in stressful situations. (he also has a tendancy to insult people which, while it's not very related to the point, is very funny and sora saying 'gonna cry?' to xigbar is great.) i cant comment any further than that about kh2 off the top of my head.

so, roxas acts like sora does when he's stressed, right? but why is roxas always acting like that? to which i say, he isnt!

he only ever acts like that when he's also in fucked up and stressful situations, which happens to be a CONSTANT in his life. but when he's hanging out with axel and xion, a decidedly NOT stressful situation, he's a lot more like sora. he's teasing his friends and insulting his coworkers and joking around and acting like a normal kid. not really important, but unless i misremembered some sora lines which is VERY possible, both roxas and sora respond to friendly insults with "oh thanks!" a lot. just a funny little detail that felt relevant.

the biggest differences between roxas and sora boil down to environment and... i dont know how to put it besides volume? roxas is very quiet and tends to keep most of his thoughts to himself, while sora is very loud and expressive in comparison.

there is one other huge difference i noticed, which is less character based and more story. sora wanted to get off destiny islands and explore with his friends, but roxas just wanted routine. sora wants adventure, and roxas wants things to stay the same, for days where he gets off work and eats ice cream with his friends to last forever, to keep having conversations about nothing and watching the sunset. roxas wants normalcy, sora wants excitement. it's just interesting seeing their contrast.

You’d never been one to look at the comments, always avoiding the spotlight, but today… something felt different. “No!” He stepped closer, his voice low but desperate. “You’re not doing this because of a bunch of idiots online who don’t know anything about us.” “It’s not just them!” you cried, the dam of emotions finally breaking. “It’s everything! The constant attention, the pressure, the way people look at me like I’m not good enough for you. And maybe they’re right! Maybe I’m not!”

“Don’t you dare say that,” he interrupted, his voice rough with emotion. He reached for your hands, holding them tightly even as you tried to pull away. “You are good enough. You’re more than good enough, Y/n.” “I can’t keep living like this, Rafe,” you whispered, tears streaming down your face. “I feel like I’m losing myself.

Rafe’s grip on your hands tightened as if letting go would make your words true. “I don’t care what they say. None of it matters to me. You matter. You’re the only thing that matters.” Your lips trembled as you looked into his eyes, the sincerity there almost too much to bear. “But what if I can’t handle it?” “Then I’ll help you handle it,” he said firmly, his voice softening as he pulled you closer.

“You’re not doing this alone. I love you, Y/n. I don’t care what those people think. They mean nothing to me—nothing.” You let out a shaky breath as his words washed over you, your resolve weakening under the weight of his conviction. Rafe cupped your face gently, his thumbs wiping away your tears. “Please don’t do this,” he whispered, his voice breaking slightly. “We’ll get through it together. I promise.”

For a long moment, you just stood there, your forehead resting against his as you tried to steady your breathing. The small audience on set cheered, and you waved nervously. Spencer, seated next to you, leaned over. “You’re going down,” he teased, a mischievous grin on his face.

The first round began with Spencer. I just wanted to say I think your art style is awesome! I was wondering if you had any tutorials on how you draw anatomy in your style (hips and legs especially)? Sorry if there's already one posted and I just didn't see it 🥲. Happy New Year :>

thanks for the kind words. i tend to draw people pretty stylized and then some so a good bit of artistic licence gets used. these tips are just what i use so feel free to take them with a grain of salt. with anatomy in particular you can kind of talk in circles because human/animal bodies are that complex so ill just zone in on the points you specified. here's a little image with a bunch of pointers:

the above image condenses a lot of the points I'd make, but basically the key parts are to start with the bare essentials and build up that complexity. using a line of action is a good way to get a quick, rough start. you draw a line out in the general direction of the pose and do your best to adhere to it to give the pose a sense of flow.

you can also draw smaller, thumbnail versions that throw a lot of caution to the wind but capture the basic energy of what you're going for. even having a tiny little stick figure version of your idea can make for a good guideline of where to take it forward.

when it comes to actual limbs, you wanna consider how they integrate and work together, kind of like how chains do. you can see on some of the parts of pear i've drawn out these wireframes to kind of portray how the mass of her legs works in a three dimensional space. for aspects like the waist/hips, i use that X technique i highlight above a lot, particularly for the lower torso. a lot of the times, even when drawing a character totally naked, imagining them wearing things like skintight underwear can help a lot to guide you in the right direction.

its also a good idea to consider things like gravity and weight to a degree. humans are essentially big meat sacks and gravity is always pulling down on that, but theres all kinds of aspects that effect that, such as character build or clothing. pear technically isn't naked in this, but i've tried to imagine her as such and take that into account.

if you are drawing digitally, don't be afraid to take advantage of the convenience you get with that workflow. you can retry and iterate on things a lot faster that pen and paper, and do things that aren't really feasible at all when it comes to editing and modifying your existing work. things like resizing certain bodyparts, instantly flipping the canvas, or using selection tools to completely adjust the positions of parts of your drawing. to give you an example heres a timelapse with all the little edits i made just to this demo drawing:

you don't have to use these techniques linearly, either. sometimes ill have a really solid idea for a piece in my head, and go back to basics with certain elements if they’re not coming out right or i just want to brush them up a bit more. some of the tutorial-y parts i added in i didn't actually use during the drawing but often do use so they're there just for demonstration. not every drawing i do starts as building blocks or a really basic version, often ill just start with a face and build it out from there.

i always encourage liberally using references (this can include yourself) and trying out stuff like life drawing or looking at things like existing photographs of real people/places/things if you can, the more you use learning material the better you'll draw up a mental inventory in your head that you can rely on more and more. some of these tips are things i've learned from other artists over the years (the chin one especially i remember seeing a tutorial about lol), so this is a lot of knowledge i've amassed from other sources over time myself. there are plenty of times ill use all sorts of reference material and its all in service of arriving at the final destination as smoothly as possible. learn by doing, as they say. hope this helps!

let me try to break down your questions! How Jax's personality changed? I mentioned how the cast wasn't originally like this when they got stuck in the circus! Meaning Jax was pretty awful to everyone, I hate to tell and have no way to properly show it (Hopefully one day as a comic but for now heres a dumb doodle) but, Gangle (After receiving her mask) & Kinger had a idea to change Jax's behaviour! With lobotomy! The two really ganged up on him and just stirred his brain. Theres the question of how thats even possible if nothing in the digital world affects your mind. The short answer is in this AU the digital aspects do affect them. How Ragatha's personality changed? With Ragatha here is a little different, its hard to be positive after witnessing violent glitched out NPCs and abstraction in general. So you think a doctor would help you out how to regulate these feelings/cope better. Kinger had other plans! (I actually wanna tryyy to keep this lowkey but) Ragatha faced isolation and the whole situation just made her alot more desensitized and apathetic. Hows Gangle's personality changed? Well, one day Jax really broke her mask pretty badly, left her ribbons in tatters. Ragatha didn't seem to notice how much damage Jax did, weakly giving small encouragement to pick herself back up and walked passed her (I should note this is before Kinger 'helped' Ragatha) Zooble was in a bad state of mind, intentionally ignoring her. Kafumo was confined. (It'll be explained in the future) So Kinger was the only one to really help her. Giving her a stronger mask! The mask isn't like mind control or anything, I feel like Gangle got confident with it on and was already pushed to her limit of being the victim. Why did the others gain names but the Jester just stayed as "Jester"? That's easy! Caine was the one to give Pomni a name and since he wasn't there, Jester doesn't have a proper name. I'm assuming Ragatha, Zooble, Kinger and Jax are self given names since the "Name Machine" only has five letters on it. Gangle's name was of course given by Jax. I'll have to give some fun facts one day! Since this post is already kinda long, sorry for that!
