Just out of curiosity, how many MCs did you make for Keyframes? Can you tell us a bit about them? I'm interested to know :D
OMGGG HAIII!!!
Technicallyyy 4? I played through the game on all seasons but my other MCs aren't as fleshed out (and I haven't drawn them...) — but I'll talk about what I have anyway!
So obviously Chi was my first baby girl, autumn, romancing Percy straight away, I yap about her a lot already but here's a fun fact I haven't mentioned yet, her full name is Chi Huệ Aubade, very cool!
My next mc was Mika (she's sort recycled from olba, sorta not because I hate the idea of being unfaithful to cove, idk if that makes sense just the way my brain works) she's a summer and... well I was supposed to romance Elio... but then the Percy summer meeting hit me like a truck and I went for him again... now she probably won't get fleshed out but I'm thinking of doing a male mc elio summer run (for real this time, no percy shenanigans)
And then I have my spring mc, Nari, and- I will admit I was very close to reromancing Percy but no! they are a Jamie romance (slowwburn tho) cause I found the cupcake confrontation was so good with a spring personality. So they're uh, well to describe them, in a word, they're self-assured (technically two but semantics). They're extremely competent and they know it, they have a big ego and tend to be overconfident, brash and competitive. Andd they also have a crippling fear of emotional connection and an avoidant attachment style. love my little guys who are so smart yet so very stupid. Anyway their dynamic with Jamie is sort of teasing? They were expecting to be annoyed by him bcos of his reputation but they ended up liking him more than they thought. They have a sort of "people disappoint me" expectation, a lot of the friends and relationships they've had in the past were shallow (not for lack of trying? but nari really didn't put any effort in) they only really mesh with deja and cam and don't even try to form deeper relationships with others, the boys are the first friends they've made in a while, and their first time besides with cam and deja actually trying to connect with people. They're an ISTJ and fun fact about them theyyy are very good at chess.
And lastly my winter mc, Yumi (name pending.) they're my no romance route (or slowburn? it depends how it plays out I guess). They're... to describe them in one word. Chill (lol). They're an artist turned law student and they are very go with the flow. They are also doing a minor of sociology! They stopped painting in their last year of highschool because they were told they needed to start taking things seriously (they had pretty bad-average grades before). While they're generally patient and relaxed, when they do get angry, they are no holds barred, cussing out authority figures, not a single thought in that brain, they get very passionate when they're being confrontational. They're an INTP and fun fact about them they know how to skateboard.
WAIIIIT- I'M GONNA USE THIS ASK TO YAP ABOUT THE ENNEAGRAM (sorry anon my attention span is kinda fucked, ADHD ramble incoming)
Okay I've mentioned before Chi's a 2w3, little lore drop, she's got family issues (eldest daughter in an asian family /hj) but yeah there's a lot of pressure from that direction, that's part why she's doing a law degree (polisci? I forget how it is in america), she was rushed into picking a degree and just went with what she was best at. Anyway I should probably explain the enneagram oops, OKAY, so she has a type 2 fixation, which basically means, she's got a gaping hole where her self esteem is and she tries to patch that up by creating relationships (people pleaser...), that's why she tries to be as helpful as possible all the time, she's got a deep seated fear of abandonment and feels like she can only be loved if she's providing some sort of support (usually as an emotional dumping ground) to the other person.
Buttt, thankfully when she got to college she met Deja and Cam, who did NOT fuck with that kinda behaviour so she's slowly getting better, I imagine over the course of her time at college she gets better at loving herself and sets boundaries with her parents, fixes the relationship (the other drama is she has younger siblings who are still with them and yeah) idk I just like writing character arcs like this it helps me understand my ocs better I think
onto my other mcsss:
uhh Mika's a 7w8, but I'm gonna skip her since she'll probably get reworked into something else anywayyy
so Nari has a type 5 fixation, their whole deal is they need to feel competent, need to feel like they understand the world around them because it's a scary place and if something doesn't fit in with the way they understand things that means they understand nothing. Anyway, their little character arc would actually be centred on the relationship, it's a story about them accepting emotional vulnerability, letting down their walls, losing their rigid world view, and choosing to trust in another person and fall in love :3
Yumi (name pending) has a type 9 fixation, their problem is... well basically, on the surface, they're confident, calm, collected, composed (heh alliteration), they really seem like they've got it all together but internally they've resigned themself to being another cog in the machine. They've lost their passion in life and they're stuck in the pit of "it is what it is". Their character arc would probably involve them dropping out of college and pursuing something they actually care about, that being art.

Hey there! Ok, first of all, your writing is ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS đŸ€©!!! Okay, on to the actual request now. Could you plz write a Heroes of Olympus fic with the seven (plus Reyna, Thalia, Nico and Will) X fem!reader who is a daughter of Khione (Greek goddess of snow)? R is struggling with controlling her powers cause they r linked to her emotions. Individually each character helps her with her powers in some way. Thanks! (Idk if that made sense btw but hopefully it makes sense!) okay, bye!!
no stop you're so sweet!! thank you so much omg
i can absolutely do that- for context, we're gonna say that the camp jupiter kids are visiting
i haven't given R a name and i refuse to use y/n
-----------------------------
The camp was huge and busy and full of people. She was overwhelmed, her breaths coming in sharp, shallow bursts. Steam blew around her as her freezing breath met the warm air and her hands fisted in her skirt. She wasn't gonna panic, she couldn't panic with all these people around, gods there were so many people in this stupid little tour group and oh shit she was panicking. She could see tiny flakes of snow start to flutter down around her, settling on everyone's skin. They started looking around and up at the sky and her nails dug into her cold skin as they finally turned and looked at her, the light snow turning into larger flakes and increasing in number. Within seconds there was a blizzard spanning six feet squared. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying her hardest to calm down. A hand touched her own, and a voice reached her ears, muffled by the snow. "Hey, I'm Percy, is it okay if I touch you?" She forced herself to nod, and Percy pulled her gently away from the group. As soon as there were fewer people, she could breathe a little easier. "We're away from everyone else, it's okay, can you open your eyes for me?" Her eyes opened and met green eyes and black hair and an encouraging smile. "Take some deep breaths, that's it, you're doing great." Her breathing became more regular. "It's overwhelming for a lot of people, that's okay. You're safe now that you're here, I promise." The blizzard had all but stopped, just a few flakes brushed off her hair by Percy's caring hand. "It's okay, we don't have to go back until you're ready." She would be ready in a little bit.
The forest was quiet. She liked the quiet. She knew she hadn't been avoided, exactly, but it was hard to feel that way when there wasn't anyone sitting at her table. No one talked to her, but it was just because she was new. Talking to new people was awkward, she knew that. So it was her choice, and her choice alone, to go sit in the woods. She didn't know why there were tears down her cheeks, and she hated that they froze on her skin. A snapped twig made her look up sharply. There were two people in front of her. The girl sat down next to her. "It's cold out, why are you sitting out here?" She shrugged. "Don't really feel the cold. And it's either being alone out here or alone in a cabin so it doesn't really matter." She gave a small smile. The guy sat next to the girl. "You're the daughter of Khione, right? No wonder you feel lonely," he turned to the girl. "Hazel, there's no one else in her cabin." Hazel gasped and rubbed her shoulder. "Come with us. We'll see if you can be moved to my cabin, there's only me and my brother in there." "Oh, I couldn't do that to you," she said, but the warmth of hope and companionship bloomed in her chest. "If you really don't want to, that's okay, but at least come with us to the campfire, come with me and Frank." Hazel's soft smile melted away the resistance, and Frank stood up, offering his hand. She stood, using the hand held out, and followed the pair. Frank held her back a moment while Hazel joined the group of ten, twelve-ish people around a campfire. "If you really don't want to join, it's okay, I'll take you back to your cabin, I promise." He smiled warmly and a little nervously. "But it might be fun. Coming?" She smiled back, and walked towards the promised warmth.
Hunched shoulders, her ears were being assulted with jeers and taunts. Loser, loner, ice freak, anti-freeze. That one wasn't even right. The small table felt a lot bigger when she was the only one there, but she was getting used to that. It didn't help that the Ares cabin was very loud. To be fair, it wasn't the whole cabin, just the very loud minority. She tried to remind herself of that when she got called all these names. The table was covered in a heavy frost, the cutlery in her hands was cold and clutched tightly. She took a few deep breaths. There was minimal snow, and she smiled to herself. She was gaining a little more control. A plate slamming onto the table made her jump, and she looked up to see sharp blue eyes and a shock of black hair, piercings decorating ears. The girl sat next to her, scowling at the Ares cabin. "Hey! Leave her alone, assholes!" The girl turned to you. "I'm Thalia, ignore them." She smiled at Thalia. "Thanks, but you don't have to be here." "It's no problem," Thalia shrugged. "My brother is at his girlfriend's table so I was alone anyway and you looked like you could use a little help." That normally would have made her defensive, but Thalia seemed more protective than pitying. "...thank you, I'm not good at confrontation." She frowned. "Sorry about the... ice." Thalia shrugged. "I struggled too. And being the daughter of Zeus, my power was a lot more destructive than yours, trust me," she grinned. She felt less self-conscious with this strong, angry girl next to her.
The rings of seats surrounding the dead campfire were cold. There was a light layer of frost, but she was too tired to know if it was because of her or just the chill of the night. The nightmare had been bad, and waking up in an icy cabin alone hadn't helped. The outside had seemed warmer, more welcoming, and as she looked up she could see the stars. The campfire was central to the camp, she felt like she could check every direction. For example, the second she heard footsteps coming from the left, she snapped her head to see another girl, wrapped in a blanket and walking with determination towards her. The girl sat firmly beside her. "You're the kid of Khione, the one Frank and Hazel introduced us to the other night, right?" "...yeah," and suddenly she remembered the girl's name. "You're Piper, right? Daughter of Aphrodite?" Piper nodded. "Yep. What's up, why you out here?" She shrugged. There was no stigma around nightmares in the camp, everyone got them, but she still wasn't comfortable going into detail. "Just a nightmare, didn't want to stay in the cabin." Piper made a noise of understanding. "Me too," she shivered. "The frost natural or you?" She laughed ruefully. "Not sure, to be honest." She ran a hand through her hair, and it came away covered in ice. "Although judging by that, I'd say a good portion of it is me." Piper stood up. "Stay here, I'll be back in a minute." She grabbed her blanket and ran back to her cabin, returning with a larger blanket and a wide-toothed comb. "Can I get the ice and frost out of your hair?" Surprised, she nodded hesitatingly. Piper sat cross-legged on the wooden seat by her side and wrapped the blanket around them both, gesturing for her to turn round. "I'll be gentle, I promise. It'll calm us both down, then you can get the frost under control."
The sword shattered yet again and she threw the hilt on the ground, yelling in anger. She barely noticed the two others in the arena, too focused on the fact that the blade of her sword had gotten so cold it had broken- this was the third time. Every time she got into her training and concentrated too hard, ice spread from her hands to the sword and it was only a matter of time before she shattered it. "Hey, stop throwing stuff on the ground, kids train here." A harsh female voice came from across the arena, and she flinched. Turning, she recognised the pair- Jason and Reyna, they must be training. "Sorry, I'm sorry, I'll clean it up." She frowned, kneeling and picking up the remnants of her sword. Jason jogged over, followed slowly by Reyna. He knelt down too, helping with the jagged edges. "It's okay, what's got you so worked up?" She sighed. "If the metal gets too cold, it breaks. I get freezing if I concentrate too hard on fighting, apparently, so I've broken three swords in the past two hours." Reyna grabbed the discarded sword hilt, examining it. "You know, you should find a specific sword for your abilities." "You can do that?" Jason and Reyna nodded. "Yeah, mine turns into either a sword or a spear depending on the flip of a coin," Jason explained. "I'm sure we could find something that can withstand low temperatures." Reyna frowned, considering. "I'm sure if you asked Chiron he'd figure something out. Although maybe you should work on controlling the temperature issue." Jason's eyes lit up. "Hey, you should go see Leo! Remember him from the campfire the last week? He's always too hot, but he's great at changing his body temperature. Go see him tomorrow!" Reyna nodded her approval. She smiled. Okay, let's go see Leo.
"Um, hey, Jason said you could help me?" She knocked on the open door of the Hephaestus cabin, settling her eyes on the curly-haired kid- Leo- screwing around with bits of metal on the floor. He leapt up, scattering metal everywhere. "Yes! Hello! I remember you from the campfire, Piper said you'd be knocking on my humble door." She grinned as he approached, hands still fiddling with a screwdriver. "She was right, she recommended I talk to you about helping with my heat regulation?" Leo practically vibrated with enthusiam. "Yeah! I'm always hot-" he winked, she laughed. "-but it took me a while to regulate it, so I wasn't spontaneously bursting into flames. May I?" He held out his hands for hers. They were searing hot against her freezing skin, and she yanked them away. Leo pulled away too, a dismayed look on his face. "Uh, okay, too hot, got it. I'll lower my temperature as best I can." She placed her hands back in his, the difference a little less painful this time as she breathed deeply. "Sorry, it was just a little surprising, I wasn't aware of how cold I was." Leo shook his head, and pulled her further into the room. "Don't worry chica, you'll get the hang of it. Don't concentrate on the hands, focus on the feeling inside," he nodded towards a small bench, and they sat down. "Think of your body as a... car. If the hood it hot, you open it up and cool down the engine, right?" Nodding, she relaxed her shoulders and hands. "Got it, focus on the internal cooling issue rather than the results." That earned her an encouraging squeeze of her hands. They sat together for an hour, maybe two. She could almost increase and decrease her temperature at will. Leo taught her a weird handshake, where they changed temperature every time their hands met. "Thank you so much, Leo," she grinned, getting up to leave. "No hay problema, I'm glad I could help," he lightly punched her shoulder. "And hey, any time I need to cool down, I know who to come to."
The tiny ice towers sparkled in the sun, almost looking like crystal. She was curious- she'd come so far from the girl who caused a snowstorm at the slightest anxiety, so how much control was she capable of? The ice was sharpened to a point, but there wasn't much distinction between the small structures. There was someone who could help, with a mind almost as sharp as her ice. "Hey Annabeth? Can I steal your attention for a second?" The girl looked up from her Ancient Greek book, and smiled upon seeing her friend. "Sure, come in, what's up?" She walked towards Annabeth, sitting next to her on the bed. "You're good with architecture, right?" "'Good' is an understatement," Annabeth nudged her in the ribs. "But yes, architecture is kind of my thing." "Can you help with my power? I think I can control it better now, but I need a guideline- can you draw up a blueprint or something for me to model out of ice?" Annabeth's eyes sparkled as brightly as ice in the sun, and she darted to her desk, grabbing graph paper and a pencil. "We can experiment with different temperatures and thicknesses of the ice-" starting to spout facts about architectural structures and buildings. "Annabeth, this is awesome, but just know you have to be patient with me," she said. "I need a lot of practice." Sitting back down on the bed, Annabeth wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "I know, but we can do it. It'll be awesome."
"Hey! Over here!" Will beckoned her over. She smiled and jogged over and into the medical tent. "Hey Will, what's up?" She gave a small wave to the shadowy boy next to him. "Hey Nico." She recieved a vague nod in return. Will gestured to a kid, maybe eight or nine, holding his wrist sitting on a camper bed. "We've run out of ice packs, and we're waiting on an order of ambrosia and nectar so can you do me a favour?" She shrugged. "What do you need?" His next words came as a surprise. "I need snowballs." Laughing, she nodded. "Okay, sure, how many?" Nico kicked an ice box next to him. "Fill this." She nodded, and started creating lumps of snow, balling them up in her palms and chucking them into the box. The kid stared, fascinated. She grinned, pausing her snowball-making to blow a flurry of snowflakes in the kid's face, eliciting a delighted laugh. The slight smile on Nico's face didn't go unnoticed. She leaned into Will. "Hey, get Nico to summon a skeleton outside the tent." "What? Why?" She whispered a plan into his ear, and Will giggled. He grabbed his boyfriend by the arm and dragged him outside. She kept making snowballs and entertaining the kid with snowflakes until Will grabbed her arms and pulled her outside, a huge smile on his face. "Come on, come on, do it!" Will jumped up and down excitedly. Nico raised an eyebrow, but smiled fondly. "What did you want the skeleton for?" She grinned, and pushed her hands forward, snow flying from her hands and surrounding the skeleton. Bones clad in thick snow and from somewhere Will produced a carrot. Nico rolled his eyes, but took out two solid black earrings to stick into the face of the snowman for eyes. Together, she and Nico manipulated the snowman to walk into the medical tent, and from within came screams of delight- it was Christmas in August.
She felt home.

tower of nero spoilers
i have just finished the tower of nero. and before i go searching for other people’s thoughts and art and more of the characters i love so much, i want to write down some of my own thoughts because i know as soon as i delve into that ‘ton spoilers’ hashtag there are going to be complaints and criticisms and so much that i don’t want to hear, or essays that’ll make me upset, or things that’ll change my perception on the book (because on this website people really love to hate the trials of apollo).
i want to start with: i loved it. it didn’t feel earth-shattering or huge and momentous like some of my favourite riordanverse books (house of hades, the blood of olympus, the last olympian and maybe some of the magnus chase books take those pedestals for me) but it was satisfying. and i think it was satisfying because it in no way felt like an ending. whether because eventually rick will write that will-and-nico-go-through-tartarus-and-save-bob novella, or because we (or at least i) will continue writing and imagining and creating for this world i don’t know. he didn’t wrap up the story in a perfect little bow like ‘nineteen years later’, he simply put it on pause. gave us a glimpse of where every character was at at the end.
the only thing that makes me so angry and upset is that i did manage to get some spoilers for moments that i know would have been so good to experience for the first time if i hadn’t been spoiled for them. the moment where rachel mentions penguins in a mansion near her house, nico getting mental health advice from mr d, the fact that will and nico were going to be in the book for so much of the story, but the big thing was literally spoiled for me two days ago, it was the reason i sat down to read it as fast as possible because i was terrified of getting more spoiled and not being able to experience the moments for myself, was that piper had a girlfriend. i know that reading that for the first time would have been so cool and surprising, and the fact that when it came up for a moment in the last couple pages all i felt was disappointment because it was spoiled for me and because it was now tinged with whatever that person was saying about her having a girlfriend.
but i still had some warm fuzzy moments, the two parts where apollo thinks he’s going to die but nico comes up behind him - so good. impeccable.
Leader Guy spat. ‘Now, I kill you.’
He raised his sword... and froze. His face turned pale. His skin began to shrivel. His beard fell out whisker by whisker like dead pine needles. Finally, his skin crumbled away, along with his clothes and flesh, until Leader Guy was nothing but a bleached-white skeleton, holding a sword in his bony hands.
Standing behind him, his hand on the skeleton’s shoulder, was Nico di Angelo.
and
Nero raised his hand, ready to give the kill command, when behind me a mighty BOOM! shook the chamber. Half our enemies were thrown off their feet. Cracks sprouted in the windowsand the marble columns. Ceiling tiles broke, raining dust like split bags of flour.
I turned to see the impenetrable blast doors lying twisted and broken, a strangely emaciated red bull standing in the breach. Behind it stood Nico di Angelo.
gods. poetic brilliance. i can’t believe i’m still a nico di angelo stannie in the year 2021. in five years i have not changed (ever since the tv show announcement last summer i have managed to morph into myself from 2017)
from here i’m not sure where to go next i kind of want to go through everything, except it’ll be more difficult than my tyrant’s tomb reaction because i wasn’t reading on a kindle and thus can’t just do funny little reactions to screenshots of quotes, so i’ll just skim through the book page by page and see what i can comment on (i’m not planning on doing analysis today, no thank you, just enjoying the end of my childhood and trying to squeeze as much out of it as possible)
i have an emotional attachment to mr. snake from the very first chapter, and am very upset that he’ll never get off on his baltimore stop and get to see his wife, lu had no reason to shoot and kill him like that.
that brings me to lu, i liked her, it was interesting to see how rick kind of brought in not only the overarching theme of abuse, but also people who let the abuse happen, i have more i could say on this i’m too lazy to right now, and i promised no analysis - or the fact that Lu had conspired to make the show non-lethal to spare Meg’s feelings rather than - oh, I don’t know - refusing to do Nero’s dirty work in the first place and getting Meg out of that house of horrors.
And are you any better? taunted a small voice in my brain. How many times have you stood up to Zeus?
Okay, small voice. Fair point. Tyrants are not easy to opppose or walk away from, especially when you depend on them for everything.
the parallels to meg and lester heading to percy’s apartment, and then to camp half blood to the hidden oracle was so cool to read, every callback to the hidden oracle just there to remind us readers exactly how far apollo has come and how he’s changed; the entire chapter with sally, paul and estelle just felt sickly sweet, it just didn’t seem real how wholesome and good that family is, like i get why apollo broke down and just sobbed in that shower.
also rick really saying acab again in toa, i thought he was done after that elf cop chapter in magnus chase (the magnus chase series is a masterpiece) but apparently not, with A ‘good cop’ is still a cop... still a part of the mind game.
the grey sisters, i forgot about them completely but this threw me back into was it the sea of monsters when annabeth summoned them? i’m not sure, it could have been the lightning thief either, they really remind me of the disney hercules movie. the whole ganymede paragraph was gold, i love gods being canonically confirmed lgbt in the riordanverse. i also love the whole eye-tossing part -
‘He will crush our eye,’ Anger cried, ‘if we don’t recite our verses!’
‘I will not!’
‘We will all die!’ Wasp said. ‘He is crazy!’
‘I AM NOT!’
‘Fine, you win!’ Tempest howled.
also, the explanation for why dionysus chooses to look the way he does was perfect, because it was something i often wondered about and wasn’t expecting to get an explanation for, and i imagine the whole mythological dionysus to look like.. well like a more feminine apollo i guess, beautiful in a gender non-comforming way.
Other Olympians could never comprehend why Dionysus chose this form when he could look like anything he wanted. In ancient times, he’d been famous for his youthful beauty that defied gender.
...
In retaliation, Dionysus had decided to look and act as ungodly as possible. He was like a child refusing to tuck in his shirt, comb his hair or brush his teeth, just to show his parents how little he cared.
every scene with nico at camp just BREAKS ME, i would throw in screenshots of every damn quote but unfortunately, as said above, cannot and would rather not type every one; we’ll start with, obviously apollo confirming to him that jason is dead.
He didn’t look angry exactly. He looked as if he’d been hit in the gut not just once but so many times over the course of so many years that he was beginning to lose perspective on what it meant to be in pain. He swayed on his feet. He blinked. Then he flinched, jerking his hands away from Meg’s as if he’d just remembered his own touch was poison.
ugh then will talking about how nico’s doing, confirming that he’s suffering with ptsd, mr d giving him advice, helping him sort though what voices in his head are real and which ones aren’t, then the paragraph that just recounts every horrific thing poor nico has been through, how will has to reassure him that he’s okay and ‘with friends’ when he wakes up after shadow travel
will’s kindness to apollo, buying him clothes, and apollo finding seymour the leopard’s head in his bed, put there by mr d aaaa AAAA A A A A A THE ORDINARY, EVERYDAY CAMP HALF BLOOD THINGS..
i could go on for years and years about how much i appreciate rachel having a big role in this book, and the visit to her apartment, everything, her art, the fact that she got what she wanted, she’s going to PARIS to study ART, she isn’t forced to be someone she’s not by her dad, and gets to be a big part of a demigod mission and not stand on the sidelines for once.
i love that her landscapes are still visions, that she still paints the quests demigods go on - the burning maze, jason’s funeral pyre, caligula’s ships; and how nico ~appreciates art~
‘And, hey, di Angelo -’ she pushed him playfully away from the canvas he’d been ogling - ‘don’t brush against the art! I don’t care about the paintings, but if you get any colour on you, you’ll ruin that whole black-and-white aesthetic you’ve got going.’
i. love. rachel.
WILL GLOWS!! THE HEADCANONS FROM LIKE FIVE YEARS AGO THAT YOU’D SEE FLOATING AROUND ABOUT HIM MANIPULATING LIGHT!! CONFIRMED!! CANON!! AMAZING
I AM  OBSESSED WITH THE TROGS, I LOVE THEM, THEY ARE GREAT, not gonna lie, i was expecting something more dramatic and spooky with how worried will was and how dionysus was going.. visiting the cavern-runners isn’t ♫ good for your mental health  ♫ but the little hat frog gremlins were a good addition. i like them very much and their funky little soup shenanigans. quoting the ghost king himself: trogs good. nice hats. (IM SORRY I KEEP MENTIONING HIM BUT I JUST) also how apollo starts wishing for breadsticks a s ajoke and theY STRAIGHT UP HAVE BREADSTICKS? HUH? WHERE DID THEY GET THE BREADSTICKS FROM??
yeah, i’m also still very much upset by every mention of jason grace, it’s funny how ever since his death in the burning maze i have grown to love him more and more and that’s not fun for me, for that boy to become one of my main comfort character’s and have his death and sacrifice and nobility mentioned every few chapters. i’m pretty sure i cried when he appeared to talk in apollo’s dreams, and this time the tears weren’t from the effort of keeping my eyes open and working for hours straight reading this book (i remember staying up until 2am to finish the sequel to beautiful, broken things, it was very much worth it)
‘All right, Jason. We miss you, though.’
ALSO. THE FACT THAT THIS KID. THIS CHILD. HAD TO THINK ‘BUT IF A HERO ISN’T READY TO LOSE EVERYTHING FOR A GREATER CAUSE, IS THAT PERSON REALLY A HERO?’ A KID ISN’T SUPPOSED TO THINK ABOUT THAT AND BE READY TO SACRIFICE THEMSELVES FOR THE GREATER GOOD,, i,, ugh,, he’s supposed to be finishing school and designing temples not being the perfect hero and soldier,, spain without the s,,
as @couldnt-think-of-a-funny-name said: ‘thinking about how ghost! Jason didn’t seem to understand why Apollo was so upset about his death because he’s been raised to believe a hero’s sacrifice is noble and his life doesn’t matter in the grand scheme and also if he doesn’t understand why the person who watched him get horrifically killed is so torn up over his death he probably doesn’t even realize his other friends are grieving him..’
IM SO UPSET THE ARROW OF DODONA IS DEAD D: IT WAS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS ALL THE FUNNIEST MOMENTS WERE BECAUSE OF THAT ARROW AND IT'S DEATH WAS SO SAD WTH LIKE WE FIND OUT HOW USELESS THE ARROW FELT AND HOW THE GROVE OF DODONA ALL THOUGHT IT WOULD BE CRAP AND WOULD FAIL APOLLO AND THEN ONCE WE FEEL BAD FOR IT, IT DIES??
the entire python battle was pretty grim, there is a part of me that's like because this is the last book series i would have loved say the magnus chase and kane chronicles gang in a giant battle with everyone like the battle of manhattan but even more dramatic, but even so, i did appreciate that python battle and the whole almost-falling-into-the-depths-of-tartarus thing.
him talking to artemis was cool, but JESUS: 'I turned and strode out of my room, trying to recall how the god Apollo walked.' like that HURTS. it was such a huge culture shock for apollo to go throught this huge character arc and be so human and understand the pain of others, to be around gods again who are so.. apathetic. also, zeus. 'Interesting how he put that: I had done him proud. I had been useful in making him look good. My heart did not melt. I did not feel that this was a warm-and-fuzzy reconciliation with my father. Let's be honest: some fathers don't deserve that. Some aren't capable of it.'
OKAY OKAY SO THE END?? CHIRON TALKING TO A CAT (BAST) AND A SEVERED HEAD (MIMIR) ABOUT SHARED PROBLEMS WITHIN THE PANTHEONS!! WILL AND NICO RECEIVING A PROPHECY FROM RACHEL TO GO TO TARTARUS AND SAVE BOB!! THE HUNTERS OF ARTEMIS, INCLUDING THALIA AND REYNA BEING BEST FRIENDS (qpr.. qpr..) HUNTING THE TEUMESSIAN FOX!! PERCY, ANNABETH AND GROVER, THE ORIGINAL TRIO, GOING ON A CHAOTIC ROAD TRIP TOGETHER!! - SO MANY STAND-ALONE SET -UPS PFSJSJSJ
okay quick word on the reunions at the end: funny little elephant visitation program with livia and hannibal. love that for them. calypso and leo's relationship seems rocky and complicated, but that's to be expected, i think even if they do get properly back together again it might not last long, because it does pretty much feel like a teenage relationship where the two aren't very compatible, but we'll see. hazel and frank are so funny with their gold plated necklaces. lavinia - tap-dance icon. almost cried at the mention of jason's temple-extension plan again. percy not being sure about what he wants to do in college is accurate and i like that that's left to be up-for-interpretation (rick does THE MOST for the fanfic writers pfsjsj). i am OBSESSED with aeithales, like i hate deserts so the burning maze setting is not my favourite but GOD that HOUSE, the vibes are off-the-charts. i'd love a house made of living trees that's also a greenhouse filled with dryads. meg gets a unicorn. that is so great.
i kind of wish the book hadn't ended with 'Call on me. I will be there for you.' because every time I imagine the friends theme song and i don't think that's the vibe he was going for, BUT i do love him talking to meg, that was genuinely emotional - 'You'll come back?' she asked. 'Always,' I promised. 'The sun always comes back.' ; i really wish it had ended with that, but i guess apollo does tend to break fourth walls and talk to the readers, like a lot of the protagonists of riordanverse books.

Unpopular PJO/HOO/TOA opinions
This is gonna be wordy but I’m not sorry for it.
Percabeth is hella overrated. It’s nice, but I would prefer other ships over it and some of y’all Percabeth shippers are scary as hell
I love TOA. A lot people don’t like it because it doesn’t include the main 7 and another topic that I’ll mention later but honestly, I could care less. I’m glad that the others aren’t there other than cameos. It means they’re getting a chance to heal after everything and honestly, good for them. People like to cast TOA as an unnecessary spinoff that didn’t need to be included yet it gives y’all the type of character development you scream and beg for in other books. It’s literally the perfect character development trope you crave, yet puts a good spin on it.
Some of you haven’t even READ toa and say you hate it. Like what? How is that supposed to work.
PJO was way better than HOO. TOA sits in the middle of the two.
I love TOA because it shows Apollo’s character growth from one of the most arrogant, cocky, and prideful gods. And even then, he doesn’t go from that to a helpless mortal loving fool, he stays arrogant and prideful but less so. Not to mention more understanding of mortals and demigods live and what they go through. He doesn’t go from one extreme to the other, but one extreme to more of a center balance. It’s more natural that way.
While Jason’s death in TOA was sorta cheap, it goes to show demigods can die at the least expected times. If Jason had died during the war, then it would be “oh, well, that’s what war does. It kills people. Nothing new.” Compared to Jason going about life as normal and one small mission is his end. It’s more impactful and realistic that way. It goes to show that life as a demigod is always dangerous, fighting or not.
Jason’s anger to Percy for not noticing Nico’s feelings towards him is absolute bullshit. Fuck that as a whole. Nico acting cold and hateful towards Percy doesn’t and shouldn’t equal “I like you, notice me please”. The internalized homophobia should be Jason’s focus, not Percy’s lack of attention at Nico’s feelings.
Same for Leo about Calypso. Not to mention they both shove the blame onto Percy like its his fault when it really isn’t. Having your memory forcefully wiped mere months after a war isn’t gonna help when remembering stuff like that. Not to mention the Gods are bums who will try to do as little as possible and leave the rest to demigods. It leads to one sided anger and unnecessary confusion and guilt on the other side. Bad writing on Rick’s part tbh.
People need to stop acting like Jason didn’t die. That’s clinging into a ghost and not letting it move on. I hate to be the one who says it, but Jason is canonically dead and acting like he isn’t won’t change shit. It’s gonna lead to unhealthy habits in the future, trust me. You can’t write a fic post TOA then be like “oh yeah, Jason’s alive because I want him to :)))” because that isn’t how life works sweetheart.
People also need to stop pretending TOA doesn’t exist. You might not like it but you have to acknowledge that it is actually there and it follows the PJO/HOO timeline.
Paul was just a card to give Sally a nice man to lean on when it wasn’t necessary.
Percy should’ve been wayyyy more suspicious of Paul when he was first introduced. 6 years of abuse from a “father figure” isn’t just gonna go away because “oh he’s nice.” Guess what? Gabe was nice at first canoncially (even if it was for a very short amount of time).
Percy. Has. Serious. Anger. Issues. He’s sassy and stuff, sure, but he’s also got some severe anger problems that he both inherited from Poseidon and developed and festered over time from living with Gabe for 6 years.
Percy is the type to act like Hades or Apollo, attack a lesser being(s) because he can’t go after the big shot without fear of punishment. I wouldn’t be surprised if some his expulsions were from beating up various kids and/or teachers.
For the first half of TLT, Percy did not like Camp Half-Blood or consider it his “home” other than Grover and Luke. The camp treated him like shit because he was a noobie at first and then because he was a son of the Big Three. He hated Poseidon for his lack of care and lack of help when he and his mom were abused under Gabe. Had Luke talked to him during that time period and/or Kronos spoke to him in dreams, he would’ve joined the Titans. His loyalty for the camp didn’t form until near the end of TLT.
Nico and Percy basically had somewhat personality switches. Nico was an excitable, happy, laid back, and naive kid while Percy was a quiet, angry, and irritable kid. Nico’s switch came from Bianca’s death while Percy’s was more gradual. In the end, Nico became the quiet, irritable kid and Percy became the more happy, laid back kid.
Stop ignoring the fact that Nico, a literal 14-year-old, traversed into Tartarus. Alone. There’s always fics of Percy and Annabeth recovering or suffering from the after affects of the fall and war while Nico is relatively normal. The boy is not and has not been okay. His life has been one shitshow to the next ever since he was ten.
Both Percy and Nico have incredibly dark sides to their powers that they seemingly enjoyed that was fueled by anger. Percy with Achlys and Nico with Bryce. Percy admitted to liking torturing the goddess and Nico, though more subtly, seemed amused by Bryce and his attempts to justify his crimes and then frantic attempts to stay alive. Bryce literally says “I’m Bryce Lawrence! I am alive!” And Nico casually responds with “Who are you?” as he turns Bryce into a souless husk of a person. You cannot tell me that he wouldn’t have tilted his head innocently and cracked a small smile at that.
Piper’s portrayal as a Native American. Do I even need to go into that?
Percy. Liked. Luke. The boy knew the son of Hermes for what? 1 week? 2? Yet considered him to be a friend, possibly a close one at that. It probably went the same route Nico’s crush did. Hero adoration to actual romantic feelings but godspeed. Not because he just wanted to like a boy, but because, other than Chiron, Luke treated him with kindness, patience, and understanding as a male figure, something Percy didn’t really have growing up. Not to mention Luke helped Percy when no one else would. As a 12 year old, those type of feelings were bound to develop.
People who make the characters treat Percy and Leo as dumb, oblivious, or one dimensional sassy boisâ„ąïž. Percy and Leo would be offended and/or defensive of such a thing because of childhood trauma. How many years do you think they can to endure that when they were younger from people they were supposed to trust or respect? You seriously can’t think they would be fine with it because their friends. Maybe a reference once or twice, but constantly? Absolutely not. Old habits die hard.
Solangelo seemed forced to me. I dunno, Nico’s whole confession felt like a ruse to get him set up with Will right away. I felt as though there wasn’t any real “connection” between the two prior to them getting together. It all felt rushed and out of place for the setting they were in. I’ve never understood it nor liked it and usually try to avoid it. That and Caleo seemed like a way to put all the characters in relationships so that they were “happy”, portraying that they needed to be with someone to achieve their happiness. Leo and Nico would’ve been better off single and learning to love themselves before loving someone else. Same applies to Sally.
Nico and Thalia would never get along because Thalia would be a reminder of what Nico lost (Bianca) and how easily how she could be replaced.
Demeter kids need more respect. I feel like that’s what Meg is for. To show that they can also technically be considered “Big Three” material because, if you forgot, Demeter is a child of Kronos as well. That means Demeter’s kids are cousins with the Big Three kids as well.
Aphrodite’s kids also need more respect. Aphrodite in the PJO universe is literally older than all gods, as she was born from Uranus’ gentials in the ocean and arose from there. Their powers could be exapanded wayyy more if they were focused on more.
Not to mention Poseidon kids could possibly gain attibutes of what would be considered Aphrodite’s powers since she was born from the ocean and vice versa. The possibilities are endless there.
That’s all I could think of for now! Lemme know what you guys think though.

Note
i also have a crippling fear of social situations but i like talking to people so thats weird....uh my favourite food is breakfast cereal and i go to a really posh school that i got into bc im supposedly smart, but im a chaotic good dumbass and one time i stabbed a guy with a pen bc he grabbed my friend’s butt. my fandoms are sherlock, harry potter, good omens and percy jackson (sorry for so many, oops)
Her first ask got eaten but basically said “im bi, 5 foot exactly, short blue hair thats proper curly, british, grumpy but also kinda funny, hates social interactions but loves people and would kill/die for my friends of which i have 2”
For Sherlock, I ship you with Sherlock!
Tumblr media
He loves that you’re smart! It’s Sherlock, what’d you expect?
On the other hand, he really likes your chaotic energy as well. It’s a good middle point between stuck up and...Moriarty.
He admires that you are protective of your friends, he knows he can trust you.
Sherlock finds your hair so interesting. He knows it’s just hair, but like? It’s so pretty?
He hates social interaction too and would happily stay in his flat with you all day.
He just thinks you’re so cute! He wouldn’t admit it, though.
You’re five feet of absolute preciousness and he loves it.
Weirdly, he likes that you only have 2 friends? He doesn’t like people all that much, but he can get along with your friends at least.
Please alert him the next time you plan to stab someone with a pen, because he would love to be there.
And he’d definitely egg you on, then completely deny the event ever happened.
Sherlock doesn’t Eatℱ, so he can’t really judge you for liking cereal, but will definitely tease you about having such a stark contrast in where you go to school versus your goofy personality.
For Harry Potter, I ship you with Draco!
Tumblr media
You go to a posh school and expected not to catch Draco’s eye? Tsk tsk tsk.
He takes pride in your being at a good school, even if he doesn’t go there.
Ok so he might be mean sometimes, but he still drinks his Respect Women Juiceℱ and would find it absolutely hilarious if he saw you stab a guy with a pen
And also he might get a little pay back of his own just because the other person pissed you off.
He likes that you only have a few friends. It’s hard for him to trust people, believe it or not, so he thinks that it’s easier to a few close friends than a lot of acquaintances.
He likes when you’re grumpy, he thinks it’s cute. He just knows you to be so kind, that whenever you’re angry he can’t help but be amused.
Honestly he’s not too fond of social interaction either. Don’t get me wrong, he loves to be fawned over but he doesn’t like too many people. There’s just too many threats, too many things that can go wrong.
So expect him to want to spend his free days alone with you.
For Good Omens, I ship you with Crowley!
Tumblr media
He absolutely adores you, someone please help him.
To be honest, he was probably drawn to you at first because of your hair. He just thought it was so cool!
The chaotic energy you give off was another plus, of course.
But then he realized you were actually really smart and he was surprised? But it was a pleasent surprise.
He may act like a total doofus, but he’s actually really smart too. I swear.
He likes that you’re protective of your friends. Demons are always protective of their kind, so when he saw you standing up for your friend he was relieved. Maybe you weren’t as completely angelic as he thought...
He thinks you’re really funny and probably laughs way to hard at your jokes.
Like Draco, he thinks that it’s easier to have a few close friends than an abundance of acquaintances.
Plus, he likes your friends just because they’re nice to you.
Crowley wouldn’t admit it for the life of him, but he has social anxiety too. It started when he started wearing his glasses, he just didn’t want people to know he was different.
So, he totally gets it when you get anxious. He’s there to help however he can.
For PJO/HOO, I ship you with Leo!
The pure chaotic energy that both of you have together is astonishing.
The rest of camp is surprised at the amount of chaos follows the two of you, it’s unreal.
He thinks the fact that you go to a highend school is both amusing and cool.
Like here’s this goofball, and she goes to that school? But also holy crap you go to that school!? That’s so nice!
Definitely wants to brag about you to everyone, but he won’t. He knows you have anxiety.
Blue hair! Blue hair! Blue hair! I’m sorry I really love your hair okay I—
Also please eat cereal with him at the ungodly hour of 3 AM, he doesn’t several times a week.
He loves your friends so much. There isn’t an abundance of them, so he doesn’t feel quite like so much of an outcast when he met them the first time.
Leo also drinks his Respect Women People Juice and would not hesitate to blast someone if they grabbed your friend’s ass.
Then he sees you taking care of it with a damn pen and he loses it.
You’re so cute, you know that?

the wedding date - chapter 10
percabeth fake dating!au based on The Wedding Date movie
part 1 | FFnet | ao3
masterpost
“I’m paying him. Percy. I paid him to come here to make Luke jealous. He’s not my boyfriend.”
Annabeth said, tears welling up in her eyes. She cut Thalia off before she could hear anything else to make her feel even more guilty.
“What?” Thalia “What do you mean?”
“He’s an actor. I hired him—”
“What the fuck, Annabeth? So you’re just lying to everyone?”
“Thalia, you don’t understand—”
“Annabeth, that’s not right! You can’t play these games with people—”
“I know! But you have to understand I’m not trying to hurt you or Luke, I was just trying to protect myself, okay? I-I’m sorry. I’m not using Percy to get Luke back, I just couldn’t show up here in front of you all alone.”
“Annabeth—”
“I have to go, Thalia. I’m sorry,” Annabeth turned and ran away before Thalia could respond. She couldn’t bear to see whatever judgemental look Thalia might have on her face. Her face burned with shame. The absurdity and inappropriateness of the situation was catching up from her.
She hoped she could catch Percy in their cabin before he returned back to the rehearsal dinner.
“Annabeth, hey! Thank, gods I’ve been looking for you.” Jason called, breathless from jogging to catch up with her. “I need a huge favor.”
“Now’s not really a—” Annabeth stopped herself, remembering she was talking to the groom the night before his wedding, “Yes, what can I do?”
“We’re out of wine, and you’re the only one who knows where the spare key to Mr. D’s wine cellar in the Big House is.”
“Oh, yeah, it’s behind the leopard head in the living room, but you need to climb onto the bookshelf—you know what, it’s too complicated. I’ll just grab it for you. How many more bottles? Like one red and two white?”
Jason glanced back at the rehearsal dinner still in full swing, “I’d make that three of each.”
“You know everyone’s going to be hungover at the ceremony tomorrow, right?”
“Hopefully that’ll mean everyone’s too hungover and tired to cause a scene.”
“Right, I’ll go bring them to you now.”
_________________________________
Annabeth coughed from the cobwebs she had swept away from the mounted leopard head named Seymour by their old camp director, Mr. D.
She had spotted Mr. D hiding his spare key away here when she had been dropping off paperwork one night during her last summer at camp. As a senior counselor, she used this new found knowledge to steal wine and they’d all go drink at the stables. It was Mr. D’s fault for having a well-stocked wine cellar at a summer camp full of minors.
Annabeth crouched, browsing the bottom shelves for the shittier wines. Everyone was already too drunk to notice if the bouquet was off.
“Annabeth, hi.”
_________________________________
“Annabeth!” Thalia called, following Annabeth back to the rehearsal dinner.
Jason waved to his  sister, “Thals! Where you been?”
“Have you seen Annabeth? We were having a, erm,  conversation and she just ran off.”
“Oh, she’s inside. I sent her to get more wine. Actually, can you go check on her? She’s been taking a long time.”
_________________________________
Annabeth shot up, slamming her head on one of the top shelves.
“Ouch!” she spun around to face the door. “Luke,” she said breathlessly, “What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to talk to you alone. This seems to be my first shot of the night.”
“What do you want?”
“Annabeth, I know you only brought Percy here to make me jealous.”
Annabeth’s blood went ice cold, “What? Who told you-”
“You didn’t even have to say it, I can see it on your face, you’re still into me.”
Annabeth breathed deeply through her nose, Luke was just being arrogant. “Why would you say that?” She replied, cooly.
“Look at him! He’s not your type. You’re all over him and it’s just to get under my skin.”
“What exactly is my type, Luke? You? Just because you’re the only guy I’ve dated before Percy? Not everything’s about you. I really like him.”
“Annabeth, stop this–”
“No!” Annabeth protested. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get these to Jason.” Annabeth tried to push past Luke to the door.
He grabbed her waist and kissed her, hard.
“Mmph!” Annabeth squirmed, dropping the bottles. Luke’s hands cupped her face, holding her lips to his.
“Annabeth? Annabeth, are you down here? Jason sent me to come check on—what the fuck. How could you?”
Annabeth shoved Luke away from her just in time to see the back of Thalia storming back up the cellar.
_________________________________
As Percy headed back towards their table, he decided he wouldn’t tell Annabeth about his confrontation with Luke. That asshole didn’t deserve any more of her brain power devoted to him. Percy decided that, and only that, was the reason he wasn’t going to tell her, and not because of the stab of jealousy and protectiveness that had coursed through his veins when he argued with Luke.
When he got to their table, it was empty. At that moment, Thalia shoved past him, clearly on her way out.
“Oh, hey. Have you seen Annabeth—Whoa, are you okay? What happened?”
Thalia’s signature heavy black and purple eye makeup was smudged around her puffy eyes. “You know exactly what’s going on,” she spat, “But why don’t you ask Annabeth, she’s the one with Luke’s tongue down her throat.”
“What?”
Thalia rolled her eyes, “You’re a great actor, Percy. Bravo. Your scheme worked. Luke and Annabeth are making up inside as we speak. I hope she tips you well.” She pushed past him in disgust, stalking away.
_________________________________
“Get the fuck off of me.” Annabeth shoved him, hard. “Thalia, wait!”
Luke grabbed her wrist, “Forget her. Annabeth, it worked okay? I hate seeing you with that guy, I want to get back together.”
Annabeth yanked her arm out of his grasp, “Stop, Luke! I’m done being hung up on you. I brought Percy to this wedding as my date, and I really care about him. Get over yourself, because I am.” Annabeth pushed past him. As she stalked out of the Big House, for the first time this weekend, she wasn’t lying or acting. She meant it. It didn’t even scare her that as soon as Luke kissed her, every atom in her body screamed at her to find Percy.
Annabeth saw their empty table, realizing he must still be getting changed. Good, she thought, it was shit show of a rehearsal dinner anyway and she and Percy could just hang out in their cabin
She hurried back to Cabin 3, and flung open the door, “Percy?”
Percy zipped up his duffle bag, turning to face her.
“Why—why are you packing?”
“Because clearly my work here is done.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Congratulations, Annabeth. You got Luke back. I wish you would’ve warned me before leaping back into his arms, but whatever.”
“Percy, stop it, you have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“I’m pretty sure I do, Annabeth. I’ve seen you string your friends along all weekend, but you won’t string me along.
Annabeth’s mouth gaped, “I don’t understand why you’re getting so angry when you agreed to this arrangement just as much I did!”
“Yes, I agreed to come be your date to a wedding so you wouldn’t be alone, I didn’t agree to you manipulating your friends! I don’t wanna be that kind of guy for you, Annabeth.”
Annabeth steeled herself as those words cut deep. She didn’t even process the words coming out of her mouth, “For me? This is all just for show, remember Percy?”
Percy scoffed, slinging his duffle bag over his shoulder, “I can’t believe you, Annabeth. You and Luke are perfect for each other.”
The screen door slammed as Percy left.
She didn’t go after him.

Percy shouldered his duffle bag, his leather dress shoes making imprints in the sand of the volleyball court. He was taking the long way around to the parking lot next to the Big House, giving the porch a wide berth to avoid the rehearsal dinner that was still in full swing.
“Perseus?”
“Chiron, sorry I didn’t see you.” The bearded man rolled towards him in his wheelchair with a pack of cards in his lap.
“It’s alright, I was just sneaking back into the house to get cards for a game of pinochle that Mr. D is insisting on.” Chiron eyed Percy’s duffle bag. “Going somewhere?”
Percy scratched the back of his neck, Annabeth’s favorite mentor was quite literally the last person he wanted to run into, “I’m going to go find a hotel or something. Things aren’t really working out between me and Annabeth.”
“You’re leaving?”
“I—
“Didn’t you two drive a rental car here? Unfortunately we’re a bit far out for cab service.” Percy hadn’t thought far enough to figure out how he was going to leave Camp Half-Blood yet. “Perseus, please. There aren’t hotels for miles. Stay here in the Big House. At least until the morning.”
“Chiron—”
“Come along, I’ll show you to the spare room.”

Annabeth collapsed on the bed in Cabin 3. As her head hit the pillow, which still ached from slamming it in the wine cellar, she felt something under it. She pulled out a paper envelope. Inside was two thousand dollars in cash.
Annabeth threw the envelope on the floor and wrapped a blanket around herself, not caring that her mascara stained the pillows.

The spare room was the camp infirmary.
Percy set his bag down on one of the six beds with crisp white linens that lined the open room as Chiron bid him goodnight.
He buried his head in his hands as he sank onto the bed. What a mess this night was. It already pained him how early he needed to get up in the morning in order to leave camp before the wedding party arose for the ceremony. Percy’s heart tightened when he thought about how hurt Annabeth must be feeling, and he dreaded her sitting through the wedding alone even though he was the one who left her.
He hadn’t signed up for this. Although, to be honest, he had no idea what he did sign up for. The most beautiful girl in the world that he had met on the opening night of his show contacted him out of the blue to attend a wedding with her. What could go wrong?
Percy couldn’t see a shower or bathroom in this room and he was too spooked to snoop around the darkened halls of the Big House, but he saw a sink in the corner of the room near the medicine cabinets and a bulletin board.
He dug his toothbrush out of his bag and trudged over to the sink. The bulletin board had dozens of polaroids of kids in orange t-shirts — campers, Percy guessed—participating in various camp activities. One particular face, shot over and over again, caught his eye.
A young Annabeth smiled back at him in many of the photos that ranged from a lanky grinning twelve-year-old with scabby knees holding a red flag in triumph — captioned ‘Cabin 6 wins capture the flag’— to a teenage Annabeth with sunburned cheeks and a messy ponytail beaming with her arms around friends — ‘Head counselors at bonfire sing-a-long.’ He smiled seeing her familiar gray eyes staring back at him, although the eyes he knew were a little sadder and more reserved these days.
Percy’s heart squeezed. He longed to know the girl in these photos. His chest ached thinking of the girl he just walked away from. Staring at the pictures, Percy realized he was recklessly in love with her.

Oh, there you are. I’ve been looking for you forever.
SolangeloWeek Day 4 - AU/Crossover
Words: 2238
Read on Ao3
Nico and Will have been friends since 4th grade, and in all their years of knowing each other, Nico never once considered dating him.
Sure, Will may have technically been part of his coming out process. He always pinned the realization that he was gay on his pitiful crush on Percy. Looking back, while that may have been his first crush on a guy, it was really the first time that he shared a bed with another boy that triggered it. That wasn’t to say he was having any of those thoughts at 10 years old. (6 years later and he still isn’t. Not really, at least). And that boy just so happened to be Will
Seven years later and Nico still remembers that night. Of course, he had shared a bed with Bianca before, but this was different. Maybe because it wasn’t with his sister this time. Something about the closeness of it all, how they watched movies from Naomi’s laptop, having to sit shoulder-to-shoulder in order for both of them to see the screen. Neither of them ever minded the closeness.
Even now, Nico doesn’t mind. After his sister died, he tended to keep people at a distance. Will had never been one of those people.
He remembered how Will came up with a conspiracy theory that night about who they were actually twins separated at birth, despite neither sharing any obvious traits.
“You have small ears,” Will had told him.
He was offended for a moment but refused to let it show. “So?”
Then Will smiled. “I have small ears too.”
Nico didn’t feel offended after that.
Years later now, they know very well that there's no way they were closely related.
Anyway, as he said. He never really considered dating Will. That is, until Will told him about the plan.
It had started innocently. They were at a local coffee shop, one that Will and Nico found themselves at just about every Friday. This was no different. As they sat down, Will said: “I need your opinion on something.” Nico looked up from his phone. “I’m wondering if I should go out with Lacy.”
“Lacy?” Nico asked. “Whose Lacy?” Part of him wanted to make fun of the name, but he knew it would earn him a disapproving look. Especially coming from someone named NiccolĂČ. (Really though, who names their son Lacy? He feels bad for this guy).
“Girl in my chem class. She asked me out earlier and I haven’t given a response yet,” he said it like it was nothing, going on to talk about wanting to ask someone out before prom so its not just a meaningless date, but Nico, who nearly chokes on his coffee, doesn’t hear him.
“Hold up, you want to go out with a girl? Will, you’re gay!” He didn’t mean for it to be harsh, it just surprised him. Will was the first of the two to come out; they were in 6th grade when he told Nico he liked boys. That’s all he’s ever told Nico.
Will winces a little, glancing around. He’s never been ashamed, but you could never really know with high schoolers.
“I mean, I am. Or, I thought I was. But I don’t know anymore. And the way she talks to me, I dunno. It makes me feel nice.”
“That’s what compliments are supposed to do. Doesn’t mean you should go out with her,” Nico points out. At Will’s dirty look, he apologizes. “Sorry. Anyway, you’re bi now?”
Will shifts in his seat. “Maybe? Why is that such a big deal?” He sounds angry now.
“I’m sorry, it’s not,” he sighs as he apologizes again. It feels like everything he could say at this moment is bad. He continues hesitantly. “I’ve just always looked up to you and your pride, and you changing all that, it’s just
 confusing.”
“I’m sorry if this is ‘confusing’ for you, because it’s about ten times more confusing for me,” Nico immediately regret his words when he heard not only the anger but the genuine hurt in Will’s voice. “And being bi doesn’t change any of that. I still like guys.”
“I know, just-”
Will cut him off. “Who I am isn’t your decision. And you have no right to be upset by this,” he stands, grabbing his bag with one hand and coffee with the other. As he turns to walk away, Nico stands quickly.
“Where are you going?” he asks
“Home,” Will sighs. “I’d say ‘bye’ but I wouldn't want to upset you.” With that, he leaves.
It takes Nico a minute before he understands. Bye. Bi. Dropping back down to the table, he puts his head down and groans.
***
It isn’t until later that night when he finally texts Will.
[7:30] To: Will: Call me
He considers sending an apology as well, but he knows Will would prefer to hear it spoken first.
Nico bets he knows Will better than this Lacy girl does.
He mentally hits himself for that one. Shh. Be Supportive.
(It’s true, though).
It takes a few minutes, but Nico’s phone eventually buzzes lighting up the screen with Will’s face. It’s a photo that Nico took of him at the pier last summer when Will didn’t notice. His hair is lit up by the setting sun, making it nearly glow, and his eyes are the same color as the water. He’s smiling contentedly, not a care in the world. He never stopped smiling for long.
Nico wonders if he smiled at all after their fight earlier that day. He can’t remember the last time they fought like that. To be fair, Nico definitely deserves all the insults.
He taps the ‘accept’ button and holds the phone up to his ear.
“Hey,” Will’s greeting is quiet and sad-sounding, and Nico tries to ignore his heart sinking.
“I’m sorry.”
He hears Will scoff, but he can’t tell there’s any real anger behind it. Judging by Will’s tone when he speaks next, it seems like there isn’t. Not like before, at least. “I would hope so,” he says.
“I am. I didn’t mean to flip out, I was just surprised. You know someone for so long that when something changes, it’s a little startling. It’s like if you grew a mustache or something. It would be different, but that doesn’t mean its bad different.”
“You hate facial hair,” Will points out.
“You’re right,” Nico takes a deep breath. “But I don’t hate you. Even if you grew a mustache, or if you’re bi, that’s cool. You’re still just as annoying.”
“You realize you just contradicted yourself,” Nico can hear him smiling. It makes him smile too, and something stirs in his stomach. Huh.
“My point exactly.”
“Well,” Will said. He swallowed, and Nico swore he could hear his voice shaking. “It’s good that you don’t care because I asked her out. And she accepted.”
“Oh.” Nico couldn’t figure out why he was upset. He knew this was coming. He already knew Will was going to ask her out. He was happy for him, right?
Was he?
Part of him knew no, he wasn’t happy. Good for Will and all that, but why not him? Why Lacy, some girl Will hardly even knew when he and Will were already practically dating?
Oh.
Nico felt hot and cold at the same time. Was this why he got upset? Not because Will wanted to ask out a girl, but because Will didn’t want to ask out him?
Did he like Will?
He swallowed harshly. Date Will? He never considered it before, but it all made sense now. The way they talked, all the physical contact. He couldn’t even see Will with anyone but himself.
Nico scolded himself for that last part. Will was allowed to be with people that weren’t him. Will didn’t even like him back, as far as Nico knew. He swallowed again. That hurt.
“Oh?” Will sounded even more nervous than before. “Like, bad ‘oh’?”
“No! No, I’m just- that’s great Will!”
Will breathed a sigh of relief. “Oh, good. Because I’m definitely going to need some help getting ready.”
Nico laughed along with him, but, honestly, he felt like he was about to throw up.
***
Nico had been avoiding Will. He would never admit it, but he thought if he avoided him it would make certain feelings disappear.
Unfortunately, not being around Will just made Nico miss him and want him more. He found himself thinking more about Will’s eyes and how they looked like an eclipse, with white shooting out from behind his pupil, which then faded into various hues of blue that darkened at the edge. Or his hair, and the golden curls around tan ears or that rested on his soft, freckled forehead. Every time he found his mind wandering, he wanted to hit himself. He needed to snap out of this daydream. Will doesn’t like him.
It wasn’t until hours before he was supposed to leave to go to Will’s house to help him prepare for his date that Nico caved. He had been making excuses as to why he couldn’t hang out all week. If he turned down this, Will would definitely know something was up.
When he showed up at the Solace residence, Will was already waiting at the door. “I wasn’t sure if you were going to show. I even got you coffee just in case you changed your mind, and I needed to bribe you over here.” he held out the cup. “Large mocha with cream.”
He took the cup. “You know my coffee order?”
Will looked confused. “Of course I do.”
Nico supposed it wasn’t that weird; he knew Will’s by heart as well without even reading the corresponding cup in his other hand. Latte with whole milk and two shots of vanilla. Still, he narrowed his eyes, although there was no real threat behind them. “Whatever,” he said, then softened. “You didn’t have to.”
Will shrugged, a small smile on his face, and Nico felt guilt rising in him for being so flakey throughout the week.
“At least let me pay you back,” Nico said, reaching into his back pocket for his phone. He always kept a $5 bill in the case for emergencies.
Will just waved him off. “Don’t even bother, dummy, it’s on me. Besides, it allowed me to clear my head a bit,” he scratched the back of his neck. “Dunno why I’m so nervous anyway.”
(Nico was never going to get over Will paying for things for him. God, why didn’t he just ask him out before?)
“I don’t know either,” he told him. “Maybe you just need to be more like Simon snow and stop thinking so much,” he tilted his head. “You look the part, so you’re already halfway there. And you never know; this could be your Agatha.”
Will tapped his foot against Nico’s. “And who would you be, Baz?” At Nico’s not-quite-careless shrug, he raises an eyebrow. “Didn’t they get together in the end?”
Stupid Will. Stupid love.
“Alternate universe, maybe,” Nico tries to play off his burning cheeks by taking a spit from his coffee. Judging by the look Will gave him, he failed.
***
The Friday after his date, Will seemed quiet. He and Nico waited in line almost silently, barely exchanging more than a greeting. Nico insisted on paying for both after they ordered, and to his surprise, Will didn’t argue.
“Do you wanna take these outside?” he asked instead.
Nico was worried. Did he do something wrong?
Did Will know?
They found a bench outside and sat down. There was hardly anyone around; most people were still at work or in school.
“So
” Nico shifted. “How was your date?”
“It was good. We saw a movie. Went to lunch.”
Nico nodded. Part of him was surprised at how unexcited Will was about it, judging by the three-word sentences. The other part of him was thrilled, but he pushed that down as guilt rose within him. “Cool.”
“She kissed me.”
“Yeah?” Nico held his breath.
“Yeah. It was nice.”
He nodded again, ignoring his heart sinking in his chest. That statement felt like a direct punch to the face. “So, you’re bi then, I guess?”
“Um, yeah. I mean, maybe. I don’t know,” Will took a deep breath. “I didn’t really want to go out with her though.”
“No?” Now Nico was really confused.
“No. I didn’t realize until she kissed me, but-” Will placed his hand on top of Nico’s, and Nico felt his heart skip a beat as Will looked him right in the eye. Eclipse. “The person I wanted to ask out was you.”
Nico couldn’t breathe when Will leaned in and kissed him. He forgot the world around him, forgot anyone who could see them, forgot everything all together.
Then there was a rush of feeling. His heart was beating fast in his chest, and there was a heat of butterflies pooling in his stomach. He was only aware of Will and his mouth on his. Nico shifted head, now kissing Will back. He put down his coffee so that the hand that wasn’t being held by Will’s could move to rest on Will’s cheek.
When they finally pulled back, Will laughed.  “Uh, would you want to go out with me?” he asked, cheeks dusted pink.
Nico just smiled softly before Will pulled him back in.

Tumblr media
Ariel stood in the motel window, watching the people pass by.
Days like these, she really missed Castiel and her many other angel companions. It was wrong of her to abandon her garrison, but what 'Heaven' stood for was not right, and the Winchesters deserved better.
Humans deserved better.
The archangel decided to read a book called 'Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.' It was a lovely book about a prepubescent boy and his destiny. She felt like the Winchesters could relate, defeating a rising evil and saving the world.
Ariel slammed the book closed once she heard a breathy voice come from the motel room entrance.
"Morning, Ariel. Have you been up all night?" The voice asked.
"Angels don't sleep, I've told you this." She put it. The woman turned to set her eyes on where the voice came from. It was from Sam, coming in from a morning jog.
A small smile formed on her lips. She was fond of Sam, and his big decision to end his demonic activities made it easier to look at him. His soul lightened by a tremendous amount, and it was almost as if he could be his own sun.
"So like you're always awake? What is that like?" Sam questioned.
This was probably the longest he and Ariel had a conversation. He wasn't dumb, he noticed that she always avoided looking at him like his presence was a disease. It made him feel already closer to being a monster, but he was sure she was doing it for a better reason.
Ariel just let out a small giggle and made her way across the room to sit on Sam's bed. "It's not like anything if you have never experienced sleep before. And it isn't like I will ever be close to being human because of my grace, it basically refills." She paused and fixed her gaze on the wall mirror across from Sam's bed.
"Being an archangel has its perks, but the closest to being human I can get is being empathetic and participating in activities. Like eating, drinking, and sex." Ariel concluded.
The tall hunter peeped his head out of the bathroom when she mentioned sex. He began talking with his toothbrush still in his mouth. "Wait, Angels have sex?" Sam had a slight look of amusement and disbelief.
Ariel glanced over at Dean, who was stirring in his sleep. Man, he was still asleep? The ginger nodded. "It isn't permitted," She returned her gaze back to Samuel. "But the rebellious angels do..." Her voice drifted as she thought about all those years of Angels rebelling and her having to execute them.
"I wouldn't really know..." She added
Rushing water filled the silence momentarily, followed by spitting and then more silence. The brunette male leaned himself against the door frame. He didn't have an immediate response to that, so he just examined her and picked apart her vessel's features.
It was decorated in freckles and beauty marks. Her eyes were a crystal blue and her lashes were long which complemented the round shape. Ariel's entire being was very alluring.
Sam cleared his throat and started, "What are you reading?-"
Ariel cut Sam off. "Do you guys usually sit around and wait for a case?"
Dean's groggy voice came from her side. "You got a better idea?" He ridiculed while rolling over onto his back and stretching.
"You both talk too much. Have you not heard of sleep?" Dean snapped.
"Well, no one told you to go to the bar and drink yourself half to death." Sam countered while taking a seat next to the celestial being.
The gentle giant had many more questions to ask Ariel, but not around Dean. He just wanted to know everything she knew and if he could redeem himself.
The 30-year-old man groaned as he moved to the edge of the bed. "Yeah, well, sue me for having fun." He drawled while sitting up.
This comment made Ariel cringe.
The idea of drinking yourself under the table and flirting with an endless amount of women, being fun, was an overstatement. Not too long ago, she and Dean were sucking face in Jack's house, and nearly two weeks later, they were strangers again.
Ariel avoided Dean as much as she could, and whenever Sam tried to get them to talk, it backfired.
"We could vacation." Ariel suggested.
Sam clenched his jaw at Dean's inconsiderate response. Maybe Ariel didn't sleep or eat, but she did display some emotions. She cried, laughed, and obviously, she loves. He hated how clueless his brother could be.
"Yeah, let's just hop on a flight to Bora Bora. Oh, wait, with what money? We barely had enough to stay at the motel." Dean queried. He knew what he was doing, pushing Ariel away.
Feelings are what Dean tried to avoid in this life, but Ariel made it so much harder for him. Whenever she was around him, he felt the need to protect and hold her in his arms, and he wasn't sure if she had the same feeling.
Ariel scoffed and gestured to her back. "Did you forget that I have wings, dumbass? I can fly us there and maybe whip up some clothes but that's about it."
"Hanging out at the beach actually sounds nice, Dean." Sam interjected.
Maybe bathing in the sun could take his mind off things, or perhaps it would give him the personal time with Ariel he wanted. The hazel-eyed hunter pressed his lips into a thin line and glanced over at Ariel, who was just waiting for a response.
"Or...We could go without you." Sam added, which earned a questioning look from both Ariel and Dean.
That suggestion made Ariel's heart flutter. Alone with Sam? She never thought about it, but now that she has, she didn't object.
Dean's face contorted to the thought of his brother alone with Ariel. He hesitated before speaking. He was not good for Ariel, maybe Sam could give it a shot. Sam was smarter and more considerate.
"Sure, Go ahead. I'll just go to Bobby's," Dean asserted, nonchalantly.
Ariel could tell it bothered him, she could sense the tension in the air, and it only made her want to leave.
Their unhealthy dynamic and the fighting, somehow, she was always in the middle of two brothers. That is how it started, and that was how her story would inevitably end.
"Alright." She mumbled before disappearing.
Sam was about to address Ariel, but she just up and left. He immediately looked at his brother and shook his head.
"You ignore her for weeks...she offers a vacation day in Bora Bora, and you act like an ass. " Sam scolded.
Now Sam had to find the archangel, apologize for Dean and possibly give her a hug for Dean. The tall being pushed himself off of the dingy motel bed and started for the door.
This radical reaction made Dean angry. "What- I mean, you're practically taking her on a date." He paused. "Why not just kiss her in front of me- Lay her down gently and go to town." The bow-legged hunter stepped to Sam as he spoke.
It was obvious Dean was jealous, but Dean literally had the opportunity to take Ariel to the beach and enjoy a day in relaxation, but he fucked that up moments ago. Sam took a minute to think and then just grabbed his coat and scoffed.
"Y'know. With you acting like this- maybe I will." Sam sneered and left the room to search for their angel friend.
Dean was taken aback by his brother's forwardness. He did not expect him to say something like that, which meant Dean really messed up. The surly hunter stood in the doorway as he watched his brother leave.
Fuck.
LATER
A soft rustling sound filled the air.
"Samuel? I bought us swimwear!" Ariel exclaimed as she arrived in the motel room. Her eyes darted around in hopes of finding the tall man, but all she was met with was silence and a glowering look from Dean. "Sam?"
Dean rolled his eyes and sighed. "He went out- looking for you." He slammed the lore book closed and grabbed his duffle bag.
Just then, Sam entered with a case of beer.
"Hey, I couldn't find Ariel, but- Hey, where'd you go? I looked everywhere for you." Sam asked with a laugh. He searched everywhere for her, the diner, the pool he even stole a car and drove to the strip mall, yet here she was, standing in the room with her arms full of clothes.
"What's all this? Where'd you get the money?" Sam chuckled.
Ariel smiled and wigged the bunch of pool noodles. "Clothes! I saw in the movies that people bring a big wardrobe on vacation, even if it's for a few days. I also picked out swimwear. I wasn't sure what your favorite color was- because I know humans become peeved when you forget their favorite things. Like when I forgot Dean's favorite pie flavor-" She started rambling.
"Ariel?" Dean cut her off.
Ariel glanced at Dean, "huh?"
Dean shoved his arm's into his leather jacket. "You're rambling."
"Sorry, I'm just excited. Angels were never allowed to come to earth, and the only beach adjacent place I visited was The Garden of Eden...and when I was there- Lucifer-he uh. " Ariel stared off into the distance, her nails softly digging into the plastic bags.
She tried to fight the impending flashback, but it won.
"Why do you love them and not me? Those apes are flawed beyond comprehension, but us, Little one- We're perfect. You're supposed to love me. We are soul mates!" Lucifer rutted his body against Ariel's, a loud cry erupting from her throat.
The archangel cleared her throat and looked at Sam who's brows were furrowed. "Nothing good happened to me when I was in the Garden. So sue me for looking forward to one good day." She muttered, with her hands visibly shaking.
Her words silenced the boys. Sam was fascinated by how old she was. And Dean was bothered by the fact that Lucifer had done something to her.
The Garden was supposed to be this sacred place. God was supposed to be watching over everything, right? How could God of all beings let that happen to her? Dean felt like an asshole.
Sam clenched his jaw and sat the beer down on the tv stand. "It's okay, here gimme that." He stretched for the bag of swimwear but recoiled when he saw Ariel flinch.
What could Lucifer have done that scarred an Archangel of the lord?
"No, it's okay. Let's go, I want to go." Ariel breathed and grabbed the toys and the beer. "Bye, Dean. See you tomorrow." The redhead smiled wanly at the older Winchester.
"Have fun." Was the last thing the two heard before Ariel transported them to the Resort.
LOBBY
They arrived in the resort lobby: Conrad Bora Bora Nui.
"A little warning there next time." Sam laughed from the ground.
The male was buried underneath many plastic bags. He let out a low groan and gestured to the front desk concierge, "Go check us in our room while I gather this stuff."
"I've never interacted with...other humans before, I mean- I never spoke to anyone else. Even at the store I just gave them the money." Ariel whispered while kneeling by Sam's head.
The only humans she interacted with were at the store, and that didn't go too well. They asked her if she were a robot and why she was dressed like the 70s 'threw up on her.' She did not like that.
"Here, it's okay, just help me up, and I will book it," The long-haired hunter tossed the things aside as he saw Ariel stretch her hand out for him to grab. He grasped her hand and pulled himself up.
"Thanks."
Ariel grabbed the clothes and whipped up suitcases out of thin air for their clothes. She looked down at her attire. With a thought, the woman was now dressed in a short, red sundress. She smoothed down her now straight hair and glanced up in time to see Sam ogling her.
"Here, You look like you just came from a marathon- maybe this would suit you better." Ariel murmured as she snapped her fingers and changed Sam's clothes. He now wore a Hawaiian button-up with pale gray shorts and male sandals.
Sam snorted and looked down at his outfit.
The hunter appreciated the gesture, but he felt more comfortable in his running clothes. He didn't want Ariel to use up all her grace just to have him in some fancy luxurious person clothes.
"This is a bit much, don't you think?"
Why did the Winchesters never accept anything good? It bothered her.
Ariel gave the human a small pat on the arm. "It's okay. I want the full experience. I saw that people dress like this in the movies."
"Really?" Sam chuckled at Ariel's ignorance. It was a delight to be with a celestial being that had no idea how humans worked. He wondered if all angels were like this.
"Let's go." Sam murmured while taking his hand in hers and pulling her toward the front desk.
PRESIDENTIAL DELUXE SUITE
Once the two were situated in their suite, Sam strolled out on the balcony of the Villa and spotted Ariel, leaning over the edge. She looked at peace with her red hair blowing in the breeze.
If someone had told Sam years ago that he would be in the Bahamas with an Archangel, he would have told them that they were crazy.
Ariel shifted onto her other foot and glanced over her shoulder at the hunter standing by the doorway. "Thanks for coming with me, Sam."
"You don't have to thank me, who would pass up the Bahamas? I mean, I like researching, but I guess I kinda needed a break." As he chatted, he inched closer to his speaking partner.
Sam perched himself on the wooden railing, next to the woman, and resumed talking. "I- I kinda wanted to get you alone, so I could talk to you about...me? I mean, I want to know more about you too." He rambled.
"Sam, It's okay. I already know." Ariel laughed at Sam's nervousness and placed a light hand on the human's forearm.
This sweet gesture caused Sam to tense up. He wasn't used to someone other than Ruby touching him, and to have an Angel caress him, it made him uneasy. Ariel overlooked Sam's body language and flashed him an alluring smile.
"What do you want to know?"
"Everything," Sam replied and moved closer to her. A small voice in his head screamed at him to move the hell away from her, but he couldn't. There was something about her energy that drew him in, and Sam felt safe. He knew that he was in good hands, and he'd be damned if he would let something like this fall into the hands of someone else.
Ariel slowly pulled her hand back and motioned over to the white sofa on the deck. "Well, there isn't much I can tell you." She paused and plopped down on the cushion and patted the spot next to her. "But from what I do know, we should sit."
The tall being shuffled over to the couch and cautiously planted himself next to the angel. He fiddled with his fingers and kept his gaze on Ariel.
"Okay, well as far as I know and what I've been told by my older brother- is that you have been trying to track down Lilith and you've been using your powers but- You're drinking demon blood...that stuff is bad Sam."
Ariel moved her hand onto Sam's and gripped it tightly as she told him all she knew. "I know you mean well, but nothing good will come of this if you sacrifice your humanity just to kill one demon." She paused. "You tell yourself, it's to save people but if you have to risk the light in you, then does the end really justify your means?"
Sam averted his gaze once she brought up the blood-drinking. He was saving people. That was all that went through his mind when he thought about using his powers. It was the only way he could cope.
"I... what she did to Dean- She's breaking the seals and you're telling me you don't want her dead? I can kill her, I just have to get strong and then I can kill her." Sam choked out.
Ariel regarded the man with an expression that was inscrutable when Sam spoke.
It took him a while to gather the courage to look Ariel's way, he felt like the dam behind his eyes was going to collapse at any second.
"You remind me of someone..." The angel whispered.
Ariel recommenced, "Sam, this isn't the way to go, and if you continue down this path...I cannot promise you I will stay to protect you."
"Y'know, I can perceive the human soul and yours is very, very bright." Ariel raised her palm to the hunter's face and cupped his cheek. The agony emanating off of his being overwhelmed her and drowned her. She could feel her chest tightening with every breath.
"It's beautiful." The archangel murmured before moving incredibly closer and shifting onto her knees. Ariel raised her fingertips to Sam's temples and sent surges of her grace into him. She wanted him to see what she saw.
The hunter could feel the tears coming and just as Ariel sent the surge of grace, they fell over the precipice. Samuel's eyes glazed over, resembling Ariel's grace-charged eyes.
Sam's face contorted as she sent the many images of himself into his mind.  His eyes darted from side to side as he saw himself but behind there was a bright, nearly blinding light behind his figure. His ears perked once he heard her dulcet voice.
"You could be your own sun, that's how bright it is. So don't worry about some darkness within you, there is none. You and your crusade, to kill Lilith- It leads to darkness." Ariel whispered.
This exchange was intimate for them.
There was a long pause before Sam pulled Ariel into a crushing embrace. He nuzzled his head against her neck, tears streaming down his face.
Sam could not for the life of him tell what it was about this strange woman except that she just reminded him of something, someone, of Jessica. If Sam could see Jessica in her, he only wondered who Dean saw in her. Maybe mom?
"You can't be real." He whispered. Samuel's hold on her tightened tremendously. "Someone like you can't be real." The troubled man repeated, more for himself than her.
"I am real and I'll be here for a long time...I hope." Ariel smiled and gave her human companion a kiss on his forehead. She lingered until her vessel reminded her of Dean.
Dean, Ariel missed him. She missed comforting him and watching the stars. A soft buzz filled her ears.
Sam sniffled and lightly nudged the angel. "Sorry- Okay, so, tell me about you. You must be very old. I'm guessing 5 billion years old."
"Close, but no cigar. I'm 10 billion years old give or take a few. Thanks for making me feel old." Ariel playfully pushed Sam away, which was followed by a small sigh.
This caught Sam's attention.
Sam looked out to the sea, watching the sunset. "Was it lonely?"
"Not at first... I have- well, had four brothers; they are also Archangels. There's Gabriel, Raphael... He did this to me." She gesticulated to the scars that were now fading.
"Then, Michael, he is the oldest. He says I ruin everything."
Ariel gave a sad laugh and shifted in her seat. She turned to her side, raised her legs, and laid them across Sam's lap. Then, she relaxed her head on the back cushion.
"Y'know how a younger sibling comes in and knocks over all the blocks..."
Sam chuckled at her analogy. "Yeah, I think I get it. Sounds like a horrible family." He fixed his hazel-eyes on her sapphire eyes.
When she got down to the last name, her eyes seemed to gloss over. It wasn't often Ariel cried or showed any other emotions besides joy or anger, but Sam did notice when she disassociated.
Sam laid his hands on her calves, and he gave them a small squeeze to let her know he was listening.
"Then there's Lucifer..." Ariel breathed. Just saying his name made her wings tense up.
Sam started. "We can talk about movies if you want-"
Ariel shook her head and chuckled. "No, it's okay. I'd rather tell you than Dean. He...would not handle it well." She paused and began telling her story.
"Father, he made me a part of Lucifer and So that sort of made us more than just archangels created by the same thing." Ariel pulled her knees to her chest and hugged herself.
The celestial being fingered the frills on her dress hem, sadness clouding her features. "Him and I, we were God's favorites. We were left alone most of the time. We were a pair- two peas in a pod...but then one day that changed."
"Well, It started with the conception of you- humans. I was okay with not being a prized possession, but Lucifer..." Ariel's voice cracked.
"So, when Lucifer wanted me to rebel, begging me to join...I said no. He said I was a part of him and that he didn't need permission..." Ariel closed her eyes and shook her head once she began having flashbacks of The Garden.
Trigger Warning: Implied R*pe (read with caution) Please do not progress if this may trigger you. After this flashback, there will be a short summary of what happened.
FLASHBACK
The sun beamed down on the greenery, morning dew trickling down the blades of grass. In the distance, there were animals grazing.
"Gadreel, please!" A disembodied voice came from somewhere near the Garden.
"I cannot, you know the rules. I'm sorry, Little one." Gadreel held his military position as he eyed the girl in front of him.
It was Ariel.
"I am so much older than you, not fair of you to call me that. Please, I promise I won't do anything. They're arguing again...I just want to be alone with the trees." Ariel pleaded with the guardian angel.
Gadreel opened his mouth to speak but stopped, his face contorting. A line appeared between his brows as his eyes darted from the archangel to heavenward. He seemed to be listening to something or someone but Ariel couldn't discern who.
"Maybe don’t go in the garden today..."  Gadreel whispered.
Ariel was taken aback by his anxiousness. "Why not? You would let me in any other day."
The guardian seemed fixed on something else as he gazed at the beauty before him. He had an inscrutable expression that teetered between pitying and haunted.
Something was wrong.
"Okay, be careful." Ariel's guardian companion huffed.
"Always," The archangel squealed and gave Gadreel a light peck on his cheek before flying into the Garden.
When she disappeared, a disembodied voice echoed throughout Gadreel's mind.
'Good. Now, Leave your post.'
The angel hesitated for a moment, glancing back over his shoulder at his friend settling down but the river."I'm sorry, Little one."
Gadreel flew away.
Ariel resided near the stream and stretched her vessel's limbs before laying on her back. She only came into the Garden when they put her in the middle of things. Again, Lucifer put her on display for everyone in the garrison to see; Asking her to join him. When she declined, most of the angels snickered, embarrassing Lucifer.
He did not like that.
For years, Lucifer had been throwing a tantrum of the creation of humanity, amongst other things. It greatly affected the whole Archangel family, but Ariel never said a word about how she truly felt.
Deep down, she knew that she wasn't made to serve heaven, and once she finally saw humans for the first time, her heart was set. Humans were to be loved, cherished, and above all things, protected. And after his last act of aggression against her, she wanted no part of her other half.
This made Lucifer more vehement.
No one agreed with him, and those that did were never outspoken.
"I knew you'd be down here, Little one." A sultry incorporeal voice came from behind her, frightening her.
Ariel's body tensed at the way he put emphasis on 'little one.' She did not like this nickname- or at least when it came out of his mouth. When others said it, it was like a term of endearment, but when Lucifer said it, it made her being crawl.
"Are you cloud watching?" He addressed her again, starving for attention.
She would not give it.
"You could at least look at me when I'm talking to you." Lucifer growled.
His explosive temper instilled fear into the young angel's heart. It was not fair; he was older, and stronger by so much. She felt helpless in this situation, and it wasn't like her other brothers would step in and make Lucifer leave her alone. God was no better, but still, she loved her Father.
Ariel finally set her vessel's eyes on his.
Lucifer's eyes were distant. They held nothing in them but possessiveness and wrath. "Why did you leave me like that?" He asked coldly.
Ariel perched herself up on her palms while keeping her eyes locked with his. "You always shout over the same things. I won't be on display with you asking such inane questions."
"My questions aren't stupid, it's important and lesser angels don't think for themselves like we do, they're meant to follow. Now if God's two most favorited Angels rebelled because, well who cares of the because- They would follow us..." Lucifer took a seat next to his sister and crossed his legs.
"What you'd be leading them to is damnation and i will not join that. Your logic is skewed and Father won't appreciate us defiling his creation he took so long to make." Ariel countered while pushing herself to her feet.
Lucifer's expression hardened as he listened to her. "Damnation? I'd be leading them to triumph. Imagine what you and I could do together..." The man's word fell off as he shifted onto his feet and made an advance on her.
"What we could make..." He murmured as he disappeared.
"You and I will do nor make anything. Why can't you get it through your thick skull that- I. Will. Not. Join. YOU!" Ariel set her eyes on the gate ahead, seeing that Gadreel was not at his post as usual.
Lucifer reappeared behind the angel placing himself betwixt her wings. "Why can't you get it through your thick skull, that I'm not doing this without you." The corrupt being roughly set both hands on his sister's shoulders and squeezed them tight.
"And I'm done asking for permission." He whispered in a breathy voice.
"You're insane!" Ariel breathed as she tried to pull herself away, but he just dragged her back to him.
"No... I'm actually not." Lucifer growled, dipping his arms under her feathers and pressed his body against hers. His archangel blade appeared in his hand; the pointed bit pushed lightly into her chest.
The color drained out of her face as a high-pitched ring filled the air, besides their heavy breathing.
The nefarious being led her over to a nearby tree, shoving Ariel against the tree.
"Luci... This isn't the way..." The ginger's voice broke as she said the word 'this.' Ariel tried to flap her wings to get away but with him pressed so hard against her scapulars it was agony if she even tried moving an inch.
"Please, We can talk this out..." She panted.
"Fuck his Garden. Fuck his Creation. I'm way past talking." Lucifer muttered through clenched teeth, lifting the blade to her neck. He dipped his head down, pressing his cool lips against her vessel's warm neck.
It invigorated him. The thrill, her fear.
Ariel's eyes filled with grace, donning their rosy color; This was her fighting back. She set both hands on the bark and pushed away from it, but failed to overpower his hold.
Lucifer let out a wry laugh and resumed leaving marks all across her neck. The offender ran his vessel's calloused hands over the curves of her waist.
Ariel began weeping, "Michael!" She tried, but her prayer was cut short when Lucifer slit her throat, her grace seeping out of the cut. Her knees buckled as her essence was stolen.
"Mmm" Lucifer moaned as he inhaled her grace, his once rosy eyes slowly shifting to a more blood-red undertone. "Now, for the best part..." He cooed in a honeyed voice.
"NO! " Ariel shut her eyes and reopened them, filling them with more grace, but it just poured out of her neck like a faucet. She wriggled under his hold like a worm, her wings flapping causing moans of agony to exit her mouth.
At this moment she wondered where Gadreel was, where was Castiel? Where was her big brother Michael? Where was Dad?
"Please..."Ariel knew nothing about intercourse or how humans managed to get it done, but she knew this was not how things went. There were steps to take, and her vessel did not appreciate the way the monster was treating her.
Lucifer brutally capped her mouth with his calloused hand, muttering a "Shut up."  He hastily lifted her dress and grinned.
"It will be alright." Lucifer sang to his little sister.
It's safe now ♄ Continuing with Sam x Ariel
Sam held the sides of Ariel's face and searched both her eyes. He wasn't sure what to say. By what he put together from her broken words were that Lucifer had defiled her in the Garden.
To add to that, no one came to save. Not even God.
"Don't worry. I'm here. Dean's here, and we won't let him get free." The hunter pulled the tired archangel into a tender hug, giving her a hard kiss on her forehead.
Sam cradled her for hours, partly wishing Dean was here because he could have probably changed her mood by a great deal.
Soon, Sam fell asleep with Ariel still conscious in his arms.
A light breeze blew through her scarlet tresses sending a light scent of cherry shampoo past Sam's nose. The giant stirred in his sleep and tightened his hold on the angel.
Sam slowly opened his eyes and let out a low groan and stretched his body. "Is it morning already? I didn't mean to fall asleep." He murmured.
On the horizon, the sun met the sea, casting a beautiful glow on the sky. The sunrise was always one aspect of earth that Ariel loved. All the colors and sensations made it so winsome.
With her ear pressed against the giant's chest, she could feel every heartbeat.
"It's okay. I didn't come to just swim. I came to bond." Ariel murmured.
The archangel stretched her wings and draped them over her and Sam; They were large enough to hide the duo. A light shadow to be seen over their bodies.
The hunter glanced down at the shadow and furrowed his brows. He never wished more to see her wings then-  to see the sun glistening and painting her feathers in the purple and pink hues. Dean told him a few times what they looked like but that they look scarier in person. He said to 'imagine white bird wings and dye them red.'
Dean wasn't very descriptive.
"What is heaven like?" The hunter watched the sky as he imagined heaven. He was hopeful yet terrified because if they banished an archangel for helping humans, could heaven really be a great place? Sam concluded it was better than going to hell.
Ariel tore herself from the human and rose to her feet. "Heaven is one, but many." The angel didn't really want to talk about home, she ran away from there. Heaven to her was like an abusive home, full of innocent angels being manipulated by a person convinced they are doing good.
"What does that mean?" Sam got up from the white couch and followed the angel. It wasn't like he meant to prod but he needed to satiate his curiousness.
Ariel whipped around and glared at the tall man. "It means just what I said. Now please, stop asking me." She let out a shaky breath and turned away. "I understand you are a curious human, but it is still a sensitive topic for me." Ariel murmured.
"I didn't mean to- I'm sorry." Sam drew his lips into a thin line and clasped his hands. "How about we go check out the restaurant?"
The angel's mood switched almost instantly, a smile danced across her lips. "Yes! I want to try whatever a mimosa is." Ariel laughed and flew into the hotel room to change her clothes.
"A mimosa? Can angels even get drunk?" Sam laughed as he walked into their suite. He assumed she went to change her clothes or at least wait for him to change. The hunter grabbed the suitcase that Ariel gave him and opened it to find a bunch of clothes, tailored to him.
Sam rummaged through the clothes and found a suitable outfit and waited for his angel companion in the loungeroom of the suit. The service wasn't ideal in this area but he still attempted to send Dean a message that they were okay.
RESTAURANT
There was a small flutter of wings that startled Sam until he looked up to see Ariel standing in front of him, beaming.
"Is this attire appropriate? I've been alive for a long time and I value humans’ idea of fashion. I wasn't sure if these shoes were alright with this dress..." Ariel rambled, twiddling her fingers as she talked about her passion.
Sam listened to her ramble for about five minutes before he just decided to stop her; He was starving. "You look beautiful, don't worry." The human pushed himself to his feet and gestured to the door. "We should maybe walk instead of teleport."
"Perhaps." Ariel hummed and started for the door.
Together they walked down to the restaurant for breakfast.
"How long have you known this Castiel?" Sam asked with his mouth full of uncooked spinach. He preferred the healthier diet, claiming that you can't hunt if you have cholesterol problems.
Luckily, Ariel was an angel and didn't have to worry about that.
Ariel's eyes widened and she put up her finger. "Don't, It's like jinxing yourself. If you say an angel's name too much they might show up." The archangel looked around, tightening her hold on the wineglass. She didn't want to see Castiel.
The last time she saw him was nearly a week ago and she probably frightened him and the rest of the host.
"Are you avoiding him?" Sam mumbled while sipping some of his water. He drew his lower lip between his teeth as he hadn't considered other angels potentially showing up.
A line appeared between Ariel's eyebrows at his question. It wasn't difficult but it wasn't easy to answer. "No, It's just..." Her words fell off as she looked heavenward. "When I escaped, something happened to my eyes-." The angel paused and brought her hand to her cheek, gesturing to her eyes. "One turned red, like...Lucifer's. It may have frightened him along with the rest of heaven."
"Red? Why does it matter what color they are? You are nothing like him." Sam frowned.
Ariel shook her head, "We are one in the same, yet opposite ends of the spectrum and so if-"
Sam spoke out of turn, interrupting her. "If he's bad, then you're good? What happens if he's good?" His eyebrows rose at the thought of Ariel potentially turning bad. It was something he could not imagine.
"I don't think that would ever happen. Lucifer is corrupted, his grace is red and there no turning back from that." The archangel spouted in a brittle tone. She could not see herself becoming corrupted even after the years of being locked away.
The friendly giant tilted his head in speculation. He wasn't one to pry or be pessimistic but if red grace meant a corrupted angel- what did that mean for her?
Ariel gazed at her companion with wide eyes. "The seals." She murmured. "The weaker the cage becomes- if he gets out..." Her eyes drifted off to the side, then down at her mimosa. She raised the glass to her glossed lips and took a long sip.
Sam surveyed Ariel's grimace for reluctance before stretching his arm over the table and cupping her hand. It was a small gesture but the comfort probably meant a lot to Ariel. His mouth curved into a wan smile. "We won't let him."
"Just listen- okay? This is crucial." The celestial being inhaled deeply and gazed into Sam's hazel-eyes as she parted her lips to speak. "Promise me, you won't hesitate."
"What?" The longhaired males asked, his face shifting from a puzzled look to a doleful one. Sam immediately got up from his seat once he realized what she meant. His small disturbance grabbed everyone's attention in the near vicinity.
The archangel quickly intertwined their fingers. She flew them to an empty part of the beach and let out a small sigh.
"We didn't pay..." Sam murmured before glancing to his side and seeing the sorrow-stricken angel.
"Tell me why I have to kill you, now." He demanded in a low tone.
"Because I can feel myself withering away!" Ariel shouted. "There is this darkness encompassing me with every turn and no matter how many humans I aim to protect and save- it never goes away. It grows every day- I can feel his wrath already, Sam..." Her tone was wobbly, indicating that her vessel was bound to weep.
At first, Sam was taken aback but then his features softened as she revealed what she was going through.
If she could sense his wrath already, then how far gone was she and how much longer did they have with this sweet version of her?
Sam's eyes glazed over, he fought back his tears as best he could.
"Promise me..." Ariel whispered whilst caressing his face. Her fingertips grazed the light stubble on his jaw then ran over the few bumps on his cheek.
Sam's lips quivered as he tried so hard to hold in his sobs but a strangled sob escaped his throat. His entire body trembled as he thought back to two years ago and his interaction with Madison and how he had to shoot her in the heart.
This hurt equally to that or maybe even worse. He'd grown to like Ariel in the past days since he has met her that day Travis died. It was hard for him to even think about killing her, how would he even be able to, she was an archangel.
"How?" Sam choked out.
Just then there was a blade in Sam's hands, with curved edges. He studied the sword, his fingers tracing over the Enochian inscriptions. The distraught hunter gripped the hilt with care and let his arm fall to his side.
"Why not Dean? Why me?" He spoke in a quavering voice.
"You're strong..." Ariel whispered, wrapping her dainty hands around his large mitts. She aimed the pointed end above her left breast, showing him where she wanted it to happen. "And- You'll be the only one close enough." She finished.
Of course, Sam had no idea what she meant, but if Lucifer was set free, the hunter would be the only one close enough, strong enough to break from Satan's hold.
"No..." The long-haired male shook his head in defiance.
"No, If i can fight my darkness, you can too. I won't let you- I can't." Sam took a moment to gather himself before speaking through choked sobs. "Dean, He would tell you the same thing... If there is good in you, then maybe-"
"Abel..." Ariel leaned into Sam's warmth, swiping the blade from his palms. Her eyes moved from side to side as she talked, almost as if she was experiencing something entirely different.
Sam stared at the angel. Why did she call him Abel? Was she having a flashback? He opted not to say anything and let her finish.
"I tried to lead you to the light..." Ariel whispered in a chagrined manner. "Just promise me, Abel." She squeezed her eyes shut and rested her forehead against his chest.
"I promise." Sam murmured in a husky tone.
The human pulled Ariel into a crushing embrace, gazing out into the horizon. "I promise." He affirmed more clearly, resting his chin on her head.
For a vacation, it wasn't that all relaxing. His nerves were constantly yo-yoing and his eyes were puffy from crying. Ariel, of course, looked perfect, even when she cried.
"Ready to go home?" Samuel questioned.
"Yes."
Their home wasn't a conventional home, they traveled from place to place, slept in dingy motels yet they always had one constant in their lives; The 1967 Chevy Impala.
That was home for the boys. And now it was Ariel's as well.

What’s this? It didn’t take me six months to get the next chapter done? Amazing. Anyway, thanks to Percy who helped with some of her character's dialogue and to all my amazing friends who inspire me and then say really nice things about my writing.
Chapter 3 of the AU. 5.4 K
Chapter one here
Chapter two here
The first thing Dale did after he woke up was went for a run. If he had been back home, that what he would have done. And running first thing in the morning helped him maintain a better focus  during the day, instead of feeling hyper and jittery.  Running in this place felt different. It was easier to breathe, ïżœïżœas it was not so high up in the mountains.
As he ran, he wondered if anyone would be upset that he had left. But then again, it wasn’t as if he had been trying to go back to his parent, or escape or something. And no one said he had to stay inside. Just went out to run for a while and then he’d come back, easy.
It was really strange being here.
Just days ago, Dale had been at a boarding school. Getting up early, going to classes, playing football in the afternoon and hanging out with his friends. Now he had been pulled away from all of that and was tossed into the middle of a survival colony.
As of right now, he didn’t have to go to school, due to the fact that there wasn’t enough  other teenagers his age here to be educated with.  Even if they did have enough, the adults who lived here seemed pretty busy with keeping up the survival of this place.
Dale wasn’t sure if he missed it or not. It was nice not to have to worry about that project anymore and to be able to sleep in, not have to be out of bed bright and early, or worry about uniform or room inspections. But still, he couldn’t help but think about his friends, his teachers. If they knew where he was, if they missed him.
But mostly his thoughts were focused on his parent, Foreldri. He wasn’t sure if they were worried or not, or more pissed that someone had all but stolen him. He didn’t want them to be worried, but he also hoped they cared enough to worry.
As he stopped running for a moment to pant, he tried to imagine them here in this strange city with him. Immediately, his imagination failed him. They would not be here, and if by chance they were forced to be here, they would hate it. Hate it. The city wasn’t perfectly organized, there wasn’t a mass amounts of laws set in place about every little thing.
If they were to come here, it would only be to remove him from this place.
His feelings on the topic were a mess. And it didn’t feel like there was anyone here he could talk to about that. No one here would care if Foreldri was up all night, beside themselves with panic and worry. And it wasn’t as if anyone would let him contact them.
Even if he could, he wasn’t going to tell them where he was. Just that he was safe. And that he had a lot of questions for them.
***
Dale eyed the two kids from across the street. Both were younger then him and seemed different in a way he couldn’t pinpoint. “Who are they?” He asked softly.
His new mother thought it would be a good idea for him and his siblings to spend some time together. It was supposed to be him plus Dare and Icarus but some other girl had stopped by and Dare went off with her. Now, it was just him and Icarus. It made Dale wonder if the other boy had any friends. So far, Dale had only heard about an uncle who worked in the greenhouse.
Icarus glanced over. “Indigo and Killian.” He said shortly. There was an undertone of bitter anger as he watched the two of them.
Dale watched them as well, curious to this interaction he didn’t quite understand. It didn’t take him long to realize why. Icarus and Dare were guarded, as if neither of them fully believed the safety of this place would last forever. But Indigo and Killian didn’t have that, the two of them seemed happy and content, laughing and goofing off. Neither seemed very aware of the war that had plagued the outside world.
And the harsh look on Icarus’ face confirmed that he was very aware of this.
Dale didn’t know what to say, so he just glanced around. They were near the center of the city, he could see almost all of it from this vantage point, all encased within this dark red, magical bubble. “This is a nice place to live.”
Icarus shrugged. “I guess. It’s a lot better than the places we used to live in.”
A look of confusion passed over the older teenager’s face. “You still remember that?”
“...Yeah?” He blinked at him. “It was only a couple of years ago.”
Dale started at him. “A couple of years ago? But...” he glanced around. “This happened when I was seven... you were five...?”
A look of anger passed over Icarus’ face and he folded his hands in front of his body. “Because we weren't here when GoS made this place. I was still on the ground with Mom and Dare and Uncle Darryl. And then it was gone and we didn’t know where they went and mom’s spouse was thought to be dead and we had to run.” He said.
“...For now long?”
“Years.” Icarus said, venom in his voice. “The Representative hates mom. And Uncle Darryl. Both of them are wanted, dead or alive.”
“The Great Representative.” Dale corrected automatically.
His younger brother looked up and scowled. “There’s nothing great about them. They knew we weren’t dead, so we spent years running from their soldiers. Hiding in one place, thinking we were safe only having to leave in the middle of the night. Mom helping stray kids and or other people only to find out some tried to rat us out to the The Representative and having to leave them behind.”
He stopped talking and looked at the ground. “It was hard. We didn’t always have food or a safe place to stay. And then we finally came here and met the others. They’re so lucky... Indigo and Killian, they never had to wonder if soldiers would find them or if their mom would be taken away and killed.”
As Icarus was speaking, a woman with long dark hair to her waist that was dressed in a tight green dress with a lot of makeup and accented jewels floated by, a few children following her. “Who’s that?” Dale asked, hoping to change the subject.
Icarus glanced over. “Also a Loki, ” He said softly. “She’s dating grandpa, she likes us kids a lot. But she’s... different. He had to tie her magic to this place, so she can’t even leave.”
Dale blinked. “Why?”
That got him a shrug. “I don’t know. But don’t ever ask her about it, it upsets her.”
Before Dale could ask more questions, those two kids, Indigo and Killian noticed the two of them. Both bounded across the street. “Who are you?” The younger one, probably Killian, asked.
“Dale.”
Icarus forced a neutral look on his face. “This is my brother, you know the one-”
The girl lit up. “We’ve heard about you!” She seized his hand and pumped it up and down. “I’m Indigo and this my brother, Killian.” A giggle escaped her mouth when she finally released him. “Sorry, it’s just. Like, really nice to meet you.”
“It’s okay.” Dale smiled back at her. “Nice to meet you too.”
Before either of them could say anything, Icarus cleared his throat. “I’ve got to do something real fast.” He said quickly. “Over in that building, you’ll be okay here for a minute?”
Dale nodded, seeing where his brother had pointed to. “Yeah, I’ll meet you over there.”
For the next 15 minutes, Dale chatted with Killian and Indigo and enjoyed every second of it. Neither of them seemed gloomy and unhappy but positive and upbeat about living here and what life was like. It was a refreshing change of pace from everyone else he had met so far.
Indigo especially had caught his attention. She was thin and looked like she was in the middle of a growth spurt, but had a great smile. After asking him lots of questions, she finally said she had to run but promised that she would see him later and the thought made him smile.
After watching as the two of them disappeared, he turned and headed in the direction where his little brother had gone. It took Dale a moment to find the door of that building, but soon he was inside. It was a strange and vacant place, what kind of errand did Icarus have here?
After finding the first and second story empty, he reached the third before he heard his younger brother’s voice. As he got closer, he could make out several more voices, all of them  talking about something. Something about how one time, they had to hide because someone horrible would've killed all of them. After a moment, he realized they meant Fari.
At first, the teenager thought it was a joke or a mistake. But the more he listened, the more he heard. Everyone here hated them and even worse, it was for reasons that weren't even true.
A wave of anger rolled over him. Everything they were saying was just a ridiculous story in an attempt to make Foreldri the bad guy, the evil villian who killed everyone in sight and laughed as they bathed in blood. No one was even grateful for what they had done.
Dale popped around the corner, suddenly visible. “Foreldri wouldn't have executed you, especially just kids.” He said, making sure to keep his voice razor sharp.
The younger boy glanced up from where he was seated among some other kids, his expression caught between shock and disbelief. “Mom is one of the most known people who want to kill them.” He stammered, before starting to warm up to his topic. “They would have if they found us, because they would know it would make Mom more vulnerable and likely to mess up.”
“They don't just kill kids, they're not a monster, they're trying to save the planet.” Dale repeated.
Icarus narrowed his eyes. “They're rebuilding stuff that wouldn't have needed rebuilding if they hadn't taken over in the first place. Plus, they're evil. If they can have a legitimate reason for it, they'd do it.”
“Because humans were destroying the planet fighting each other!” He took a deep breath, trying to keep his anger under control. “You don't even know them, you've never met them but you just think they're evil!”
Icarus’ expression turned angry. “They weren't fighting at a rate that would destroy it. And I don't have to know them to think if they're evil, I just have to look at the things they've done!”
That only made Dale angrier as his simmered and boiled, wanted to be let out. “The old human leaders were fighting at a rate that would destroy the planet because there were so many different world leaders, Foreldri made it so there was only one ruler of the world and that's them.”
“Yeah,” Icarus snapped back. “And they wrecked half the world in the process! They're getting all this clout now for fixing it, but they shouldn't have messed with it in the first place!”
“They weren't the only one who contributed to buildings or areas being destroyed. They wanted to unite the world under one leader, they did that, now they're rebuilding and it will make everything better, how can you not see that?”
Icarus only rolled his eyes. “Says them! Do you really think they care?? Their nickname was literally Lawful Evil Loki and they make the laws now!”
Some other person decided now was a good time to jump in. “Dude, you don't even know what you're talking about, they kidnapped and brainwashed you into thinking they are a good person.”
That was almost more then Dale could take. It was hard enough to hear this from his so-called brother but another person, who he didn’t even know- made it even worse.
“They never brainwashed me and I do know what I'm talking about.” Dale said through clenched teeth. He wondered how many times he would have to repeat this. They were not evil. “Because I actually knew them and saw what they wanted. Just because change is scary doesn't mean it's always bad! And that stupid nickname was given to them, they didn't choose it!
Icarus frowned. “Nicknames are given to people for a reason!” He said. “If you don't believe me, you can ask any grown-up here. It's not like anyone here has any reason to lie to you.”
“None of you understand what they're doing and if you actually paid attention and stopped thinking that they were some evil villain, then you'd understand!”
That made the younger boy get to his feet. “If you opened your eyes and tried to see anything other than what they taught you, you'd understand!”
“If you were actually my brother, you'd believe me!” Dale spat back in return.
Icarus opened his mouth but didn’t say anything as a deeply hurt look passed over his face. He closed his mouth and folded his arms, a look of anger smoothly sliding over the pain, a barrier coming down to hide the wound. “Whatever. If you actually know how much it hurt mom when they took you, you wouldn’t be saying that.”
Even when Icarus stopped talked, two other people behind him started talking as well.  While they weren’t being angry or aggressive, their message was the exact same. You don’t know what you’re talking about and how could you say that about someone who kidnapped you.
Suddenly being inside, around all these people felt like it was too much.
Without another word, he turned and fled the building, not caring what any of them said.
This place was still new and unfamiliar and he didn’t know where to go. Everyone would probably guess that he would go back to his room, so instead he went in the other direction. For a while, he just wandered, until he found a ladder and climbed up onto a roof, looking out over the edge of this pocket universe.
It wasn’t fair. And maybe he was biased, or maybe he just knew his parent in a  way none of them did. They weren’t a monster, they weren’t trying to destroy the world.
He would of stayed there all day, except he heard a voice calling his name. Val’s voice, apparently Icarus must of told her what happened and now she was looking for him.
He still felt conflicted about her. It has only been a day since he met her and now all of a sudden she was his mom. She was nice and everything, but there was still a part of him that was weary and unsure. Especially unsure about if he could trust her. But on the other hand, she sounded worried and he didn’t want her running around and worried sick about him..
With a sigh, he stood up and peered over the edge so she could see him. “I’m up here.”
The relief on her face was visible. “Oh, good.” She disappeared from sight and then he heard the sound of climbing, until she was next to him. “Dale? I heard about the argument. Do you wanna talk about it?” She asked, her relief morphing into concern.
He did and he didn’t. Everything was building up inside him, threatening to spill over and yet he didn’t want to let it out. But it finally won. “Everyone here thinks L.E is the worst person ever,” he finally said, his voice sulky. “And that they're some evil dictator who sits in a room all day, thinking about who to kill next.”
To her credit, Val only chuckled. “How about you come tell me what they're like to you? We’d see an entirely different side of them.”
“They were never mean or abusive to me, they were my parent.” The teenage boy said. “And they told me, the world used to have a bunch of world leaders but everyone was fighting each other and causing all these problems. They saw they could do good, so they decided they would unite the world under one leader. The war is over, they're rebuilding and will lead all the countries together moving forward. That doesn't make them evil.”
She nodded. “No, that doesn't make them evil. But their methods were undoubtedly wrong. Were you ever told about how they did it? Or the aftermath?”
Suddenly, he realized this conversation was going to be a repeat of the one he had with Darryl a few days earlier. “Yeah... they announced they would be president and people were against it, so they had to take it by force, but they only did that because they weren't accepted.”
“Back at the time, there were certain channels to go through to be the leader of a country. L.E disregarded those when people didn’t automatically accept their authority.” Val explained. She got a far away look on her face, staring off into the distance. “And when they took the world by force... It was horrible, I'm not going to lie. Even if they thought they were doing something good, they shouldn't have gone about things that way.”
Putting it that way, suddenly everything his parent had said didn’t seem quite so righteous anymore.
“How was it horrible?” He asked.
“There was a fight, a large one. I hadn't seen one like it in thousands of years
” She shook her head. “There were a lot of casualties. Not to mention the personal stuff that happened.”
“Like what?”
Val shifted slightly. “When Loki fought them in Manhattan, I was trying to get Icarus and Dare somewhere safe so I could rejoin the group and help. But we got separated, and the next thing I knew....“ Her face crumbled as her voice became downtrodden. “My spouse was dead. My friends were gone. My oldest child had been stolen and it seemed like I was never going to get him back, or even see hi-you again. The fact that none of that turned out to be the case doesn't erase the damage that was done.”
Dale didn’t know what to say. That part of the story had never been told to him.
As the silence became awkward, he quickly latched onto something else he remembered had been said earlier. “Darryl said... they used to live in his basement and they didn't care about anything but controlling people or about anyone but themself...”
A part of him hoped it wasn’t true, that Darryl had been wrong. He didn’t want to hear that they were a liar or the horrible things they had done. Finding out his hero was actually a terrible person was awful, hearing the person he loved, his parent, was even worse.
Val nodded and his heart sank.
“That's pretty much true.” She said. “They're able to care about people, obviously- but only as long as those people fit in their worldview. When they don't or when someone challenges that
”
Dale swallowed. “They told me they took me away because Loki drank all the time and it was too dangerous for me as a toddler to be around them.”
A harsh laugh left her mouth. “No. Loki and I drank a lot, yes, but at no point were you ever in danger. I promise you, the most danger you were in was getting slobbered on by their pet dogs.”
Another one of their lies.  “Oh.” He responded, feeling stupid that he had believed them. He glanced up. “You really missed me..?”
She nodded and looked away but not before he could see the sheen of tears in her eyes. “So much. It felt like there was this gaping hole in my life and my heart. And you're my son, so... It never went away.” She choked out before wiping at her eyes.
“I barely knew about you
” Dale said, unsure of what else he could talk about. He took a deep breath, trying to keep his emotions in check. “They mostly talked about your spouse, but  they said  you two were drunks idiots who endangered me with your drinking and incompetence, so they had to remove me from the situation for my own good.”
“They didn’t know shit about me- I was never drunk around you kids. The worst you ever saw me was a glass of wine at dinner. I'm a lot of things, but saying I'd endanger kids is a blatant lie.”
“What about your spouse?” Dale asked.
“They drank some,” She answered, her voice steadier. “But not a lot around you. Most of the time when you were there they just... Played with you. Turned you into animals you wanted to be,  or took you to the park. They're a good mum, too.”
“Oh.” More lies. Had anything they had told him the truth?
Val nodded. “ I know they cared about you, but the fact is they lied to you, a lot.” She said, reaching out to cover his hand with hers.
“So they are a terrible person?”
His mother nodded, without hesitation. “They are. They might have had good motives, but there was a lot of selfishness there too.”
The teenager’s shoulders slumped and he stared at her hand, covering his. She was so different from him and yet there was so much pain in her voice. Too much to be faked. He didn’t speak for several long seconds, trying to figure out what to say. “What was it like politically before them? Were they right about that?”
“You’d have to ask a human.” Val admitted. “I wasn’t here long enough to understand it.”
Dale sighed.” I’ll ask Darryl.” He paused. “Is Icarus mad at me?”
“He’s not mad.” She said as gently as she could. “He’s hurt though, what you said wasn’t very kind and he’s worried you don’t want to know him, he’s always wanted to meet you.”
“Oh... I didn’t...”
She looked closer at him. “Yeah. Do you know where the greenhouse is? He’s there. if you want to talk to him again.”
That was the last thing Dale wanted to do but it was something he needed to do. “I’ll talk to him in a bit.” He muttered.
“Alright then.” She stood up and walked away, leaving him alone.
It didn’t take long for Dale to find the greenhouse and even less time for him to find Icarus. The inside the greenhouse was warm, which was a bit annoying after growing up in Canada. His brother was there, like Val had said, he was bent over a row of plants and looked happier then he did a half-hour ago.
Dale watched him for a moment, this strange little brother that he knew almost nothing about. Part of him felt ashamed for what he had said, the other part still loyal to Foreldri. They were not a monster and he wasn’t going to let anyone call them one. But
 he had still been unkind.
He wasn’t sure what to do or where to go when suddenly, Indigo was next to him. “Hey!”
“Hi,” he answered and glanced back toward the greenhouse. He should of been talking to his brother, but
he didn’t want to at the moment. Icarus looked happy, going in there would only ruin that.  “What are you doing?”
“Nothing.” She smiled and then looked concerned. “Are you okay? You look like someone kicked your puppy.”
“No
just found out almost everything I knew was a lie.”
Indigo face softened. “That sucks
But want to do something? I can show you some stuff.”
“Sure.” Anything would be better than thinking about what just happened.
“Great!” She grabbed his hand without hesitation and dragged him along through the city. For over an hour, she showed him all of her favorite spots, tree’s she liked to climb, the spot she first kissed a boy (although she didn’t tell him who) the spot where she had kissed a girl and the store that had the best cookies in the city  before they finally picked a spot to sit down.
“Be careful,” She warned as the two of them settled behind a building. It was quiet, just a red glow from the sky. “There’s this black cat, that’s really mean. She’s scratched Killian and me before. Don’t touch her if you see her.”
Dale frowned but nodded. “Okay.” He said and changed the subject. “So, you’ve always lived here?”
“Yeah.” She nodded. “Since I was a little kid. I was six or something. I know there’s a war going on but my mom kept us really sheltered from it. Even before we lived here, I don’t really remember much of it.”
Dale nodded. “Yeah, it was kinda like that for me. I lived in Canada. It’s a country really far north.” He added when she looks a bit confused. “I never saw any fighting or anything. None of the war ever came close to our village. This whole thing has just been
 crazy.”
“Do you want to go back?”
He paused, unsure what to say. That was a loaded question. “I don’t know.” He admitted and changed the subject. “Wasn’t your hair longer this morning?”
That made her smile and she flipped her dark hair, as it started to grow. “I’m a shapeshifter, like my mom. So my hair’s any length I want it to be. I can also change into a wolf.” She paused and then froze. “Don’t move.” She ordered.
The urge to bolt suddenly came over him but he managed to hold still. “What?” Dale whispered.
“It’s that cat.”
Moving very slowly, Dale turned his head to look. There, perched slightly above him, was a thin, pure black cat, peering down at him. She had large gold eyes and it seemed like she was studying him.
Indigo shifted slightly. “If she jumps on you, throw her off and run. I’ll turn into a wolf to scare her away.
Dale didn’t move, he just started up at her and then slowly raised his hand. Behind him, he heard Indigo whisper furiously not to touch her, but he ignored her. “Hi kitty.” He said.
The cat flinched and then narrowed her eyes. But he gently stretched forward and stroked her cheek and ear with two fingers. For a moment, neither moved. And then she leaned forward to rub against his hand cautiously.
As Indigo was behind him, Dale couldn’t see her, but he did hear the squeak of surprise she made.
“Don’t move,” he said and reached out to pull the cat into his lap. The small animal seemed shocked and then looked up at him with a look of contempt, but he didn’t move.  She seemed to be debating whether or not to run away, but finally decided against it and sat down to start washing her ears.
“Wow
” Indigo muttered, reaching a hand forward toward the cat. She yelped when the offending hand was swatted harshly and yanked it back. “She likes you.”
Dale nodded and gently stroked the cat’s head. “Does she belong to anyone?”
“I don’t think so.”
He shifted and the cat jumped away but didn’t go far. In the darkness, he could see her eyes, soft and glowing faintly at she looked at him, as if she was waiting for him to make a decision.
Dale stood up and the cat moved closer. He didn’t think she would like it if he tried to pick her up yet, but she looked ready to follow. He made a small noise with his mouth as he started to walk and the cat bounded after him.
Indigo looked impressed. “You’re going to take her?”
“Yeah, if my mom lets me.” For the first time all evening, he smiled at her. “Thanks for bringing me here and talking to me. I appreciate it.”
A huge smile broke over her face, making the dimples in her cheeks come out and she blushed. “No problem.”
Halfway back to the house he now called home, Indigo waved goodbye and took off running in another direction. Dale waved goodbye and checked to make sure the cat was still coming. She wasn’t right behind him, something had caught her attention and she went to investigate it. He paused to wait for her and then realized it would probably be best if he asked first before bringing her into the house.
The closer he got, anxiety started to coil in his stomach. What if Icarus hated him and didn’t want anything to do with him anymore. If Val was forced to choose between him and Icarus, who would she choose? Was there a chance she would throw him out and make him leave, banished for causing too much trouble? Maybe it would of been better if he had just ran away and didn’t return to them.
Just as fast as the worry came, it was followed by a feeling of iron clad resolve. He had been raised by a powerful alien and the ruler of earth, he was no coward. Running away would not solve this or fix any issues. He would go back and apologize and if they didn’t want him around, then he would leave of his own accord.
As soon as he opened the door, he saw Icarus, sitting at the kitchen table. The younger boy glanced up in surprise and then frowned.
Dale spoke up before he could say a word. “I’m sorry about what I said earlier.” He said. “I shouldn’t have been so mad.”
“Did you mean it?”
“Mean what?”
A hurt look crossed the younger boy’s face. “That I’m not actually your brother
.”
“Oh.” Dale sighed and sat down at the table next to him, shifting through all the thoughts in his head, trying to find the best thing to say. “No, I didn’t. I was just mad about what you said about them. I didn’t mean it... I’m sorry.”
“Okay.”
Dale heistated. “Are you okay?”
Icarus nodded. “Yeah, I’ll be fine.”
“Okay
” He let the silence hang for a few moments before he changed the subject. “So Indigo told me about this cat that’s really mean to people and guess what? She didn’t attack me or anything.  I was petting her and stuff and she let me.”
Icarus looked mildly surprised. “Really?”
“Yeah and she followed me for a bit, I hope she comes here.” He paused. “If she did, do you think mom would let me keep her?”
Icarus broke into a grin. “Oh yeah.” He assured him. “Uncle Darryl gets mad at her about it, but yeah. She wants us to be happy, especially during this whole war thing. When I was a little kid, I asked her to make it all stop. If Uncle Darryl hadn’t stopped her, she would have left me and Dare with him and gone to try and kill the Representative immediately. If you ask to keep the cat, she’ll say yes.”
A smile came across the older teenager boy’s face and he relaxed. “Okay, good.” He glanced around. “Where’s Dare?”
“With her friend. They spend all their time together.” Icarus launched into a story about their little sister and Dale sat back to listem, curious about this other sibling he hadn’t spent that much time with yet.
A few minutes later,  Val came in the front door and a look of relief swept over her face when she saw them two of them sitting together, obviously not fighting anymore. “Hey guys!”
“Hi mom.”
“Hi mom.” Dale echoed. “Guess what, I found a cat. I don’t know where she went but if she comes back, can I keep her? Please?”
“Of course.” Val said, almost immediately and for the first time since the other Loki had shown up in his room, Dale felt something that was close to peace and happiness. He had a family that cared about, one that was around and now, maybe even a pet. Until he suddenly remembered.
“Has anyone heard anything about your spouse?” Or the other Loki? Are they back yet?”
The smile on her face disappeared and she shifted slightly, her gaze going to the window. “No.” She admitted softly.
And just like that, the happy feeling was gone again.

‘I live in the apartment below yours and I keep getting your mail this needs to stop dammit’ Percabeth!
Thank you for the prompt and sorry for the delay! This took a while to get out. It was very fun though! I really like how it turned out!
XxXxXxXX
If you had to ask Percy, he would sayhe was a pretty average guy when it came to intelligence. He wasn’ttoo smart, nor did he really think himself too dumb. But for the lifeof him, he could not figure out why Amazon hated him. Or, morespecifically, why it just lied to him consistently. His friend Piperhad finally convinced him to sign up for Amazon Prime, and he finallyunderstood what all the hype was for around it. Having thingsdelivered to his doorstep was amazing. Especially considering itsaved him a trip on the sketchy-at-best subway, and hauling whateverhe bought up to his fourth floor apartment.
Rather, coming homeafter a long day of classes, followed by his volunteer work at thefire station, and finding food and supplies just waiting for him topick up felt like a gift from God. At first he had been hesitant, nottrusting the general New York population to not steal his stuff forobvious reasons, but slowly he found his packages were always safeand waiting for him. So he had been ramping up his orders, slowlyrelying less and less on physical shopping.
Everything wasseemingly perfect, except for one small thing.
Hispackages were always aday late. He had absolutely no idea why either. They always said theywere delivered, but sure enough there’d be nothing waiting outsidehis door. The first time it had happened he had freaked out, but whenhe woke up the next morning, he kicked the box when he was leavingfor classes. Figuring it a fluke, Piper had convinced him to give itanother another try, and sure enough it happened again. His packagewas missing the first day, only to show up in perfect condition thenext. The same thing happened the time after that. And the one afterthat. And the one after that.
After a while,Percy just accepted it as normal. A side effect from living in NewYork, he supposed. If you got hung up on every weird thing thathappened to you in that city, you’d go insane.
So for now, Percyjust planned his life around things arriving a day later. Emails liedto him, his mail had it’s own sense of timing, and Percy was onceagain, victim to the seemingly endless amount of weird shit in hislife.
So when his copy ofhis new game was delivered a day late, he wasn’t too surprised. Whatdid surprised him though, was the very angry note scrawled on top ofit.
“STOP BUYING THINGS.”
Picking up thepackage, Percy quickly went inside before he set it down on thetable.
Did his packagejust yell at him? Maybe Amazon did hate him after all.
Setting it down onhis table, he stared at it for a moment. The handwriting was nice.Like, definitely hand written with care, which was an odd contrast toit’s angry message. Unsure of exactly how to respond, he threw thenote away before opening his package. He figured it could have justbeen an annoyed neighbor who was tired of hearing the deliveryman. He’d ask Piper about it later anyway. Starting up his new game, Percytried to push it out of his mind. He wasn’t going to figure anythingout just by stressing out over it. Sending a text to Piper, hefigured a long day of gaming would be just what his mind needed toget over it and relax again.
When he foundanother note on his next package, Percy finally started to freak outa bit.
“I’M SERIOUS. STOP.”
He texted Piper, who immediately rushed over. By the time she got there, Percy wassitting with the package on the table again.
Piper stared at thenote for a moment. “A girl wrote that.” She offered, before shepaused. “Maybe you should stop ordering.”
Percy groaned, leaning back on the couch dramatically. “I have to give up theblessing of Amazon because someone hates the delivery guy? This soisn’t fair.”
Piper rolled hereyes, nudging him to scoot over so she could sit down. “Let’s see.Every time you order a package, it shows up a day late. Recentlythere’s started being a threatening note on it as well.” Shesummarized, thinking. “When do the packages arrive late?”
Percy thought for amoment. “Either late at night or early morning. It’s never therebefore I go to bed that day, but always there by the time I wake up.”
Piper paused, cracking open her Arizona iced tea and taking a sip. “You know whatthis calls for, right?”
Tilting his head,Percy thought for a moment. “I need a new apartment?”
Rolling her eyes, she gently slapped him upside the head. “No! You need to set atrap.”
Percy squinted hiseyes. “Have you been binging Sherlock again?”
Piper squared hershoulders. “Maybe. But that has nothing to do with this. If someoneis delivering this package late consistently, you just need to catchthem in the act. Order another package, next time it’s delivered, wake up super early then wait outside. That way when the package isbeing dropped off, you can catch the delivery person and ask himwhats up, and figure out why she is leaving an angry note with you.”
“What if she’sdangerous?” Percy asked after a moment of consideration.
Piper raised aneyebrow, glancing at him. “You’re a volunteer fire fighter in greatshape, in a small hallway, surrounded by plenty of people who willcome running if you call for help. I think you’ll be fine.”
Percy pouted.“You’re not concerned for my health at all. I thought we weresupposed to be best friends.”
Piper justshrugged. “I promise to visit you in the hospital if something goeswrong.” She offered, before reaching forward to grab thePlayStation controller.
Percy just sighedand grabbed his laptop, starting to browse Amazon. At least he had anexcuse for an impulse purchase this time.
XxXxXxXxX
Slamming his alarmclock with perhaps a little too much force, Percy groaned and rolledover. He really, really hated waking up early, and getting up at 4:30felt like a sin. No one should be up this early. Still, rememberingwhy he had to get up after a moment was enough motivation.Literally dragging himself out of his bed, he forced himself to walkto the door. He pulled on a shirt, ran a hand through his hair, grabbed his phone and keys, then opened the door. Sure enough, therewas no package yet. Pausing for a moment, he figured he had no optionother than to just sit and wait.
Pulling out hisphone, he scrolled through twitter for a bit, checked snapchats hewas behind on, sending one to Piper for good measure just to prove heactually woke up on time.
Twenty minuteslater, and Percy was now bored and tired.
His eyes feltheavy, his usual habit of still being asleep at this time wasstarting to catch up to him and he felt his body settle down. Hetried to fight it, but a few minutes later and Percy was out cold, bundled up against his door.
When he did finallyawake, it was to someone shaking his shoulders. A very pretty girlwith curly blonde hair and stormy gray eyes was staring at him with acomplicated expression, her lips tight in a line like she couldn’tdecide what to say. After a moment where Percy just stared at her, still 70% asleep, she finally spoke.
“You drool whenyou sleep.”
XxXxXxXxX
When Annabeth camehome to find yet another amazon delivery box on her doorstep, she seriously began to consider if she could adapt to life in prisonfor committing murder.
Seriously, she haslost track of how many times someone else’s packages had shown up ather door. At first she had found it amusing that it was a simplemistake, but then it kept happening over and over again. How couldthis “Percy” not realize?
Between studyingArchitecture in college, and working in a cafe, Annabeth reallydidn’t have the time, or motivation to deal with drama with anotherresident of her apartment complex, so she just found out hisapartment from the clerk in the lobby, and dropped it off on her wayto her early classes the next day. Problem solved.
At least, it shouldhave been. With any normal person, it surely would have been, right? They would have realized something was up and realized that thedelivery address was wrong.
But no, whoeverthis Percy was either hated her, or didn’t care enough to fix it.
Annabeth had beentempted to keep the package for herself, but she didn’t really playgames and judging by the label, it was some game she had never heardof. Well that, and the fact it’d be stealing and all that.
So she had justmade the habit of dropping off his packages and hoping he’d get thehint eventually.
When Annabethtripped over the package going into her apartment, she decided she ithad been the last straw. Calling her friend Jason, she wondered whatthe worst thing she could do to the guy while still avoiding legaltrouble. Instead of being her accomplice, he had decided to be thevoice of reason like the goody two-shoes he was, and told her towrite a note.
Annabeth would goto the grave before she would admit the fact that that had simply
never occurred to her. Her frustrations had lead her down the path ofpetty revenge before any more reasonable alternatives had presentedthemselves.
Decided to take hisadvice, she left a simple note. Straight forward and to the point, just like her.
On the back of thenote she made sure to leave her name and explain that the floornumber was wrong on the shipping address.
Problem solved!
With a smile on herface, she made sure to drop the package off in the morning on her wayto class, feeling a weight being lifted off her shoulder. A monthslong irritation was finally gone.
At least, she hadthought so.
When she came homea few days later to another package, she had let out a sound thatJason had only described as an “unholy shriek.”
She was glad herfriend had decided to study with her that day, otherwise she very maywell have done something stupid.
He had suggestedwriting another note, and taping it to the box. Maybe it had gottenseparated from the package before “Percy” had seen it.
She had writtenanother note, perhaps a little more
aggressive, than her previousone, but she had had a rough week, so sue her. Hopefully he didn’tactually

Making sure to flipit over, and once again explaining how the wrong floor was on hisshipping address for Amazon. She also included her name again.
Satisfied thatsurely this Percy couldn’t make the same mistake again, Annabethtried to distract herself with studying and once again hoping thatthe problem would be solved.
It turned out theonly thing worse than coming home to a package that she feltobligated to deliver, was never knowing if there was going to be apackage waiting for her. The anticipation was killing her.
On the bright side, that anticipation didn’t last long. Three days later and she foundanother package outside her door. Coincidentally it was around thenthat Annabeth decided Jail might not be so bad after all.
She had calledJason, and together they decided that she would just settle it onceand for all. Instead of leaving the package and a note, she wouldknock on the door until he answered and just settle the confusion inperson. No more passive-aggressive run arounds. Jason had offered tobe there as well, feeling a bit nervous about his friend confrontinga stranger early in a morning in New York, but Annabeth had waved himoff, promising that despite how frustrated she was, she was justgoing to talk to him, and she carried pepper spray with her always.
That’s how Annabethfound herself walking down the annoyingly familiar hallway, runningover the explanation she had planned out in her head over and overagain. It’d be short, simple, polite, and concise. The problem wouldbe solved, and if not she’d talk to Amazon support or the apartmentmanagement. Turning the corner, whatever plan she had vanished fromher mind when she saw someone leaning against “Percy's” door.
She hesitated for amoment, unsure of how to react, before she slowly made her waytowards him. Judging by the rise and fall of his shoulders steadily,he was asleep.
Was he locked out?If he was, Annabeth suddenly found it a lot more plausible that thiswas all a giant, and annoying, misunderstanding. Hesitating, Annabethwasn’t sure how to actually wake him up.
Calling his namemight be weird considering they’ve never spoken before. Kicking himfelt wrong, even if it would have felt a little right
Pausing, shesquatted down in front of him, reaching out only to pause in front ofhis shoulder. Biting her lip, Annabeth gently nudged his shoulder.
The young manslowly stirred, seemingly coming to life as he looked at her, clearlystill mostly asleep. The mess of raven colored hair on his headcontrasted his the sea green eyes that blearily studied her. Atrickle of drool ran down the corner of his mouth, and despite themix of emotions in her, some part of her long-time single mindregistered that he was actually deceptively cute.
Remembering she washere on a mission, she ordered her brain to begin her preparedspeech.
“You drool whenyou sleep.”

Shit.
That wasn’t part ofit. Abort. Abort. Abort. The whole situation had just caught her offguard, and her train of thought was already off the tracks and onfire in a ditch somewhere.
“Sorry.” Theboy offered quickly, scrambling to stand up before he slammed hishead into the bottom of the doorknob with a loud thud, causing him tocollapse back to the ground, rubbing the top of his head as he groan.
Annabeth bit back alaugh at his expense, biting her lip to hide a smile. Her hands wereawkwardly in front of her, stuck between wanting to help, and notexactly know what to do or say to this stranger. “Are you okay?”A normal statement this time at least.
The boy nodded.“I’m
fine. Ow. Just a mild concussion probably.” He muttered, before something seemed to click in his mind. “Are you
 the notelady?”
Annabeth noddedslowly, glad the conversationwas finally heading in the intended direction.
“Pleasedon’t hurt me.” Percy offered, still rubbing the top of his head.
Annabethwinced. Writing notes while upset clearly wasn’t a good idea. Even ifit was annoying, shehad meant to actually threaten him. “I wont. I just
Ilive in the apartment below yours and I keep getting your mail thisneeds to stop dammit.” She erupted suddenly, glad to finally getthat off her chest.
Theboy stared at her confused, and Annabeth could practically see thegears aligning in his head. “Wait, all my packages have been goingto you?”
Annabethnodded, exasperated.
“Didyou get my note?”
Percypaused. “The threats?”
Annabethstared at him. “On the back of those, I explained everything andgave my name.”
Percylooked off to the side, rubbing the back of his neck. “I kindathrew them away after seeing the threat. I didn’t flip them over.”
Annabethcouldn’t believe him, but she also couldn’t completely blame him.Annabeth wouldn’t exactly want to examine any “threats” she gotherself.
Annabethjust dropped her head into her hands. “I can’t believe how longthis went on.”
Percyjust let his head fall back against his door. “So I messed up theshipping address.” He muttered, his face flushing red. “I reallyshould have noticed that.”
Annabethjust gave him a look of disbelief. “What did you think happenedwith all the packages?”
Percyshrugged. “I had no idea, but they always showed up the next day soI figured I would just let it be.”
Annabethjust sighed, but couldn’t exactly blame him once again. Annabeth haddealt with her own share of weird stuff in her life, sometimes notquestioning things was the best option.
Annabethjust sighed. “Well fix it please. Also
you might wanna lay offyour orders.” She offered with an eye roll.
Percyjust laughed sheepishly. “I”ll fix it tonight, I promise.”
Nodding,Annabeth stood up, suddenly finding a lack of conversation to talkabout.
“Aslong as this is fixed
” She offered, a little lamely.
Percystood up suddenly. “Wait
can I get your name at least?”
Caughtoff guard, she nodded. “Annabeth Chase.”
Percysmiled, offering his hand. “Percy Jackson.”
Rollingher eyes, Annabeth shook his hand. “I know.”
Pausingfor a moment, Annabeth waved before she started to walk away, figuring the situation was resolved.
“Hey
”He interrupted again, hesitance in his voice clearly.
Annabethturned around again, raising an eyebrow at the clear stress he seemedto be feeling.
“Dinner
I feel bad for having you be my courier for so long. Can I get youdinner to make up for it?” He asked, only making fleeting eyecontact as his gaze flickered everywhere else. She noticed his cheekswere flushed, and that only caused her own cheeks to feel warm.
Hereyes flicked over his form.
Well
he was cute. At least a little. Plus he did kinda owe her

“Areyou free around 7? That’s when my shift ends.” She offered, tryingto keep her voice steady. She was so out of practice withstuff like this.
Percynodded, perhaps a bit too eagerly. “Meet you in the lobby?”
Annabethnodded, flashing him a smile before she waved to head off to herclass.
Thesecond she left the building, Jason found his phone exploding with alot of frantic texts.
Ifshe had seemed a little distracted during classes that day, Annabethwould just insist she had a lot of her mind. When Jason pointed outthe small smile she seemed to be wearing the whole day, she justkicked his shin and mumbled out something about being relieved thatan annoyance was gone.
WhenAnnabeth finally made her way down to the lobby, her heart wasgripped with fear for a moment that he wouldn’t actually be there, and this was all some cruel prank for her threatening notes.
Sureenough though, she found him chilling in one of the large chairs. Hewas dressed for a casual night out, much to Annabeth’s relief as shehad gambled that was the proper dress attire for the night as well, and he had seemingly attempted to comb his hair. It hadn’t done muchto restrain the messy black locks on his hair, but she appreciatedthe attempt.
“Ready?”She asked, raising an eyebrow.
WhenPercy saw her, his eyes lit up and he hopped up. “Of course!”
Annabethwasn’t exactly sure how she expected the definitely-not-a-date to go,but he had taken her to his favorite pizza place. It also turned outthat he was surprisingly easy to talk to. She had found out he alsoattended her school, was attending for marine biology, volunteered asa fire fighter, and got way too excited about surfing. Shefigured it would have been a quick dinner, but she was definitelysurprised when she had noticed two hours had passed with themchatting in that pizzeria.
Ithad been Annabeth’s turn to be bold when they exchanged numbers atthe end of the night, and Annabeth was pretty satisfied that she hadmanaged to make a new friend.
Atleast, until she woke up a few days later and found another box infront of her door. Before she could smash his door in and throw it athim, she noticed something was different about this box. It actuallyhad her name on it.
Cautiouslyshe opened it up, unsure of what to expect. What she found made herheart skip a beat.
Insidewas only what could be described as a care package.
Itwas a combination of her favorite chocolate, a box of her favoritetea, the new romcom she had fallen in love with, and a finding nemoplushy. All things she had mentioned liking off handedly to Percy’squestions during their dinner. Never in a million years would shehave expected him to actually remember what she had said, let aloneget her a gift. At least aside from the plush, that seemed to bePercy’s own addition.
Ithad taken her half the day to figure out just what to text him inthanks. Her message had been simple, but a few days later Percy wouldwake up to find a package of his own waiting outside his door.Luckily Annabeth had seen the content list enough times on hispackages that she had a pretty good idea of what he liked, aside fromwhat he had mentioned on their dinner.
Whenshe had received a text that was little more than a string ofexclamation points and random capitalized letters, she figured shehad guessed pretty well.
Shortlyafter she had received an invite to go bowling with Percy and hisfriend Piper, Annabeth may had agreed a little too quickly, aftersecuring an invite for her friend Jason as well.
Thenext morning Annabeth had found another package waiting for heroutside. Opening it with a sigh, pulling out her favorite chocolate,Annabeth finally caved and bought Amazon prime as she began browsing.Snacking on the chocolate with a small smile, Annabeth figured she’dprobably get plenty of use out of Amazon prime as she made sure tosave a secondary address to her account.
Afew years later, Annabeth would be glad she no longer had to worryabout getting someone else’s mail when Percy and herself startedsharing an address.
XxXxXxXxX
Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed it! I really love the idea of Percy and Annabeth sending packages back and forth occasionally as flirting. Anyway, this was one of the many prompts I have in my inbox, feel free to suggest more from THIS LIST.

Nerve-wracked
Fred Weasley x Female! reader
Summary: Fred Weasley realizes his feelings for one of his newest employees.
a/n: I usually struggle writing HP fanfic because I have a difficult time picturing them outside of Hogwarts. It’s a long complicated thing :P
Tumblr media
The sound of shattering glass vials filled the shop and a small ‘oops’ along with it.
Fred inhaled a deep breath through his nose, trying to keep calm. This had to be the third time this week! He wasn’t in the mood to get into another argument with George over their newest employee. But her constant mistakes and errors were costing them money.
Fred rubbed his forehead, he hated having to be a stickler about these kinds of things.
In fact, it was 100% against his nature, but if Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes was going to continue thriving then it was up to him and George to set an example. They had to be responsible and work constantly to make sure they were developing new and exciting products for their clients. Luckily, Fred loved his business, he couldn’t imagine doing anything else with his life. So in the end, if he had to be more mature in exchange, then it was worth it.
Not that they still didn’t get up to a little mischief now and then, but there was a time and a place. And that time and place usually involved one of their family members preferably Ron or Percy. How else could they test out their latest creations?
Sighing, Fred reluctantly headed downstairs to see y/n desperately trying to clean up the broken glass and mop up the spill.
She had knocked over an entire display of Ten-Second Pimple Vanishers.
Fred shook his head. Instead, charming the mop and broom to do the work, she was doing it all herself. Fred took out his wand from his coat pocket, with a quick little swish and flick he enchanted the broom and mop to start moving on their own.
The look of surprise on y/n’s face was adorable, her eyebrows knitted together as she watched the mess being cleaned without her help.
“That is one of the benefits of magic, you know?” he finally spoke up standing next to her.
“Oh Mr. Weasley!” she greeted him in surprise.
Fred’s nose scrunched up in disdain, he hated being called ‘Mr. Weasley’, made him feel like a boring old man.
“Sorry, sometimes I forget that magic can be used to help with mundane chores,” she said sheepishly.
Y/n was muggle born and often did things without magic out of habit. It was actually an endearing quality about her, like Harry, she was always fascinated by things he himself took for granted. And of course, she always marveled at his and George’s latest creations and inventions.
“And sorry I broke all those vials, it was an accident,” she continued.
Y/n shrunk back and stepped away from him worried he’d yell at her for making another mess. She could tell from his expression that he was upset.
“It’s alright,” Fred muttered rubbing his chin, he’d need to make more to replace what was lost. Ten-Second Pimple Vanisher was a big seller especially so close to the holidays. Self-conscious first and second-year students wanting to look their best for the holidays and for the return to Hogwarts afterward.
“Why don’t you feed the pygmy puffs, then prepare to open the shop,” Fred instructed. In his head, he was trying to determine how many bottles of Ten-Second Pimple Vanisher, were still stored away and how many he could possibly make this morning.
Fred went into his workshop, he removed his jacket and rolled up his sleeves. He took one of the aprons hanging on the coat rack and briskly tied it around his waist. Aggressively, Fred slammed tools and ingredients down on the large wooden work table.
In a cauldron, he started adding various things. It wasn’t too long before a fresh batch was brewing.
“Didn’t we have a full stock of Ten-Second Pimple Vanisher?” George asked hanging his jacket up as he came in to check on his brother.
“We did,” Fred replied not bothering to disguise his irritation. He continued to work without pause.
George could tell by Fred’s actions, that it probably had to do with y/n. Something like this always happened when it was just Fred and her working.
“Want help?” George offered.
“No, you should keep an eye on the shop. We’ll be opening soon.”
“Y/n can handle it.”
“I doubt that,” Fred replied in a short tone.
“She’s great with the customers, they really like her,” George added rather positively.
“I’ll believe it when I see it.”
George sighed, y/n and Fred on somehow got off on the wrong foot. She did make the occasional mistake, but she was helpful and interacted well with their young clientele. But for whatever reason when Fred was around, her little blunders would turn into even bigger ones.  Y/n didn’t get flustered around him though. In fact, he believed that he and y/n were becoming friends.
That’s when George had his small epiphany.
“Switch clothes with me,” he suddenly demanded.
“What?” Fred questioned. His brother looked awfully excited about his idea.
“You make y/n incredibly nervous. I do not. If she thinks you’re me, then you’ll see how she actually is,” George explained in a single breath.
Fred shook his head, this was utter nonsense, “I do not make her nervous.”
George lifted his eyebrow, “Freddy, you are constantly on the poor girl’s case. Correcting each of her mistakes.”
“Still your idea is ridiculous!”
“When did you become so dull?” George complained, “Or are you really just Percy in disguise?”
Fred rolled his eyes, he didn’t have time to entertain George and play silly little games.
“That’s it!” George exclaimed. “The real Fred is playing a trick on me and has switched places with that old stick in the mud.  Bet he’s getting into all sorts of mischief at the Ministry.”
George continued to tease Fred, while he tried to finish working. After a few more remarks from George, he finally gave in.
“Fine,” Fred stated, removing his work apron and slinging it over the counter, “let’s switch.”
“Now that’s more like it, George!” George said winking at his brother.
The brothers quickly switched outfits.
Fred walked back into the store from the workshop. Everyone automatically assumed he was George simply because he was dressed in George’s signature purple accented suit.
He spotted y/n standing by a boy who appeared to be 11 or 12 years old.
Fred pretended to work, writing notes as if he was taking inventory, as he maneuvered around the shop to get closer to her.
Y/n was listening to the boy go on about a rather cruel fourth year.
“Well that boy sounds absolutely dreadful, he’s got whatever coming to him. Could I make a recommendation?”
The boy nodded eagerly.
“Now this fourth year deserves the absolute worse,” Y/n plucked a piece of candy from the shelf, “These are Ton-Tongue Toffees, they’re tasty and the eater’s tongue will swell to about 4 feet long.”
The boy grinned, “wicked.”
“Exactly, it’s perfect for giving that nitwitted troll a taste of his own medicine.”
The boy grabbed an arm full of them.
Fred smiled hearing the exchange between her and the scrawny little first-year lad. George was right, she was great with the customers and she really knew her stuff when it came to their products.
“Nice work,” Fred complimented y/n.
“Thank you, George,” she chirped sounding quite bubbly.
Fred felt his mouth run dry, not because she called him ‘George’ people did that by mistake all the time. No, it was because she called George by his first name while she always insisted on calling him, ‘Mr. Weasley’. Fred wasn’t sure what he was feeling, something about her being on friendly and more casual terms with his brother irked him.
He looked at her face, she was smiling brightly at him. Well technically not at him but at George. She looked sweet wearing such a pretty smile, and her eyes shining. Did she smile and act this way all the time with George?
Something about all this was making him angry.
Y/n tilted her head to the side, “is everything alright?”
Gently, she placed her hand on his forearm, peering into his face, “your face is a little red.”
Afraid she’d figure out that he wasn’t George, Fred turned away and headed back to the workshop, he couldn’t keep this up.
Y/n watched him leave looking slightly puzzled.
All Fred could think about was how he really did make her nervous as he trudged into his workspace.
“Well, how’d it go?”
“I want to change back into my clothes,” Fred threw George’s jacket at him.
“What happened?”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” Fred muttered. He still wasn’t sure why all of this was bothering him so badly.
“Did you yell at her?” George sighed, now she was going to act all weird around him, and he didn’t even do anything.
“No, I didn’t yell at her,” Fred retorted defensively. He flopped into one of the chairs in the room. “...You were right, I make her nervous. She acts completely different with you,” he admitted.
George smiled, “that’s because I’m the good twin.”
Fred rolled his eyes. “But I’m still better looking,” he added.
Both brothers went about their work, minding the shop and keeping the place functional.
However, Fred couldn’t get y/n out of his head. Somehow he wanted her to see him for more than just her boss. He didn’t want to become some intimidating guy that his employees fear.
After closing, Fred had finished restocking the new vials of Ten-Second Pimple Vanishers.
He inhaled deeply admiring the finished display in a magnificent pyramid shape.
Fred blinked his eyes a few times, his nose was picking up a familiar scent. It was y/n’s perfume. He could faintly smell it in the air. It was the same type of floral scent there was no mistaking it, she wore it every day.
“Y/n?” Fred called out. He could’ve sworn that he saw her leave. But maybe she came back, it would be just like her to forget her wand or purse or something just as important.
Fred called her name again but there was no response.
As he looked around the empty shop, he spotted the luminous pink display of love potions. He wandered over, as he did the fragrance of y/n’s perfume became stronger.
Finally, he spotted an open bottle sitting on the shelf. He picked it up and held it by his nose, the contents smelled just like her. There was no mistaking it.
The realization hit him hard, he was in love with y/n l/n.
In a daze, Fred replaced the cap on the bottle. He ran his fingers through his hair and sat on the bottom steps of the staircase. How could he be so ignorant of his own feelings?
It all started making sense now, the fact that he constantly kept an eye on her, why he felt jealous of George being on friendlier terms with her, how he thought about her almost every day.
Why didn’t he notice sooner?
The following morning, Fred didn’t know how to act. His eyes kept wandering over to y/n, but every time she was near he avoided her like the plague.
Fred smiled dreamily, watching her.
She looked so cute in her lilac dress with orange apron. Currently, she was petting the pygmy puffs.Y/n turned her head in his direction, she waved slightly, looking confused that Fred was staring at her.
In a rush, he tried to make himself look busy. By accident, Fred dropped an entire case of Extendable Ears, sending them flying all over the place.
George, who saw the whole incident, was grinning ear to ear.
“So
I see my little hunch was correct!” he announced slinging his arm over Fred’s shoulders.“Was it her shampoo? Or perhaps her perfume you ended up smelling last night?” George whispered.
“That was you?” Fred accused louder than he intended. “You left that love potion there so I’d smell her.” he continued in a hushed tone.
“Of course, it was me,” George smirked. “I can tell it’s been driving you insane.”
Fred wanted to strangle George, who looked so amused by it all.
“You’re a bloody fool, but you’re right,” Fred confessed. Discovering his feeling for y/n has changed his whole perspective. “George, what do I do now?”
“Let me help you,” George advised like it was the most obvious solution.
Fred returned his gaze over to y/n. A couple of guys around his age were chatting with her. His face fell for the moment, but soon his eyes narrowed and his frown became more apparent.
“Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that she’s pretty popular with our male clients,” George added cheekily. “You should probably make your move soon. That one with the dark hair comes in pretty often.”
Speaking of the dark-haired one, he did seem particularly chummy with y/n as he casually leaned in smiling at her. Fred had this sudden urge to march over and stupify the git. Although that would probably be terrible for business. A prank would be better, he could use him as a guinea-pig for one of their unreleased inventions.
Pursing his lips tightly together, Fred tore his attention away from y/n and the stranger, and back to George.
“What did you have in mind?” he finally asked.
“I’ll prepare a lovely romantic surprise for you two, to help set the mood, and leave,” George wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. “You’ll confess your burning desire for her, and just like that, she’ll fall for you!”
“That
sounds like a terrible plan,” Fred complained.
George shrugged his shoulders. Without any better suggestions, Fred reluctantly agreed. He groaned, why did life have to be so complicated?
“Alright! I’m out of here!” George proclaimed heading towards the exit.
“Really?” y/n asked in surprise, George typically hung around until everything was cleaned up and put away. The last few customers were, in fact, still paying.
“I’ve got a few things to do, you and Fred can finish up here.”
“Alright,” she muttered, looking a little concerned.
“Goodnight Freddy. Goodnight y/n.”
Y/n waved goodbye to George and returned to work.
“Y/n?” Fred called. “I’m going to check on something in the back.”
“Okay,” she replied starting to usher the last couple of customers out and locking the door behind them.
Fred’s face fell seeing what George had prepared. It had to be some kind of joke.
Sitting on the table, was a bottle of fire whiskey, 2 butter beers, and chocolate frogs. Was this really George’s idea of romantic?
There was a little note attached to the bottle of fire whiskey, ‘for courage! -G.’
“Explains why he’s still single,” Fred muttered to himself. He opened the bottle and took a big swig.
It looked so last minute and just thrown together without a thought. He could’ve done so much better.  He imagined little floating lights to set the ambiance, flower petals strewn about, flutes filled with bubbling champagne, maybe a little music...now that would’ve been romantic.
Quickly, Fred enchanted several bubbles of golden lights that freely floated around the workroom. There wasn’t much he could do so he would have to settle for the butterbeer and chocolate. But he was able to throw together a makeshift bouquet out of some of the potion ingredients lying around.
Taking a look at what had done, Fred started feeling even more anxious. Maybe he was trying too hard and overdoing it? Would something casual be better? He didn’t want to come on too strong.
“Freddy, get a hold of yourself,” he whispered. “She’s just a girl, you can tell her how you feel.”
Running his fingers through his hair, as he tried working up the courage to talk to her. He wasn’t the kind of person who usually reacted this way. His past dating experiences were so effortless by comparison.
“Fred?”
He nearly jumped out of his skin hearing her voice. He prayed that she didn’t hear him talking to himself.
“Yes, y/n?” he replied, shouting at the direction of the door.
The knob started to turn.
In a panic, Fred pulled the door open, stepped out of the workshop, and slammed the door shut behind him, all in a blur.
“Wh-what do you need?” Fred questioned, hurriedly.
“I just wanted to know if there was anything else I could help with.” y/n looked quite startled over his frantic behavior.
“Yes of course!” Fred agreed rather quickly. “You can help me restock!”
“Alright.”
Fred turned to get the crates out of the workshop when he remembered what was lurking behind that door. “Why don’t you wait in the shop and I’ll bring the crates out to you?”
“Wouldn’t it be faster if we worked together?”
Fred rubbed the back of his head, “one would think, but y’know it’s a disaster in there, wouldn’t want you getting hurt.”
“Are you hiding something?” y/n asked looking up into his eyes. Their workshop was always a mess.
“Nonsense!” he blurted out. Fred could feel his heart beat faster as she inched toward him. He wanted nothing more than to kiss her. “I-I’ll be back out in a moment.”
Silently, side by side they began filling the shelves that had become nearly empty. Fred kept himself focused on the work at hand, trying desperately not to look over at y/n. She was close enough that he could smell her perfume wafting around her.
He tried to prepare in his head what to say to her but then decided that it would be best to just get it over with.
“I’m sorry for making you feel nervous,” he started. “I’ve been on your case since the day you started working here and all that accomplished was making you anxious. You’re doing a great job.”
Fred continued to work.
“I think the reason, I’ve been acting this way, was my way of dealing with the fact that I’m attracted to you,” Fred confessed, his eyes remained focused on the work at hand. He started feeling panicked over her silence. “I guess what I’m trying to say is that I like you.”
Before Fred finished placing the last bottle on the bottom shelf. Y/n flung her arms around his neck, crashing her lips against his. The kiss took Fred by surprise. He stumbled backward knocking over several pieces of merchandise along the way. There was a small crash behind him, but he’d worry about that later.
Fred had no idea where to put his hands, carefully he placed them on her waist.
He chuckled, “Suddenly less nervous are you?”
“I wasn’t nervous because of work or how you treated me. Must I remind you, I had Snape for potions,” she laughed. “I was so nervous because I like you too.”
Fred couldn’t stop smiling. He leaned down capturing her lips in a passionate kiss. His fingers brushed against the side of her neck gently holding it as his lips traveled down the opposite side.
She could feel his lips smiling against her skin. He started chuckling again.
“What’s so funny?”
“I have a lame surprise for you in the back, thanks to George,” he explained.
“Oh?” she raised her eyebrows in excitement. “So he knows?”
“Of course he does, in fact, he knew before I did.”
Y/n laughed some more in response. It was a wonderful sound to Fred’s ears, in fact, she had the most beautiful laugh in the whole world.
“Well c’mon, I tried making it better
” he sighed. “but I may have made it worse.”
He took y/n by the hand, her skin felt soft under his fingertips.
“Oh wow, Fred did you do the lights? They’re so beautiful,” she murmured admiring them.
“Those I will take credit for, but the rest was mostly George.”
She let out the cutest giggle, covering her mouth slightly, “Butterbeer and chocolate frogs, how sweet!”
“So you like it?” Fred questioned.
“Yes,” she replied nodding her head with conviction.
“And you like me?”
“I do.”
“Suddenly, life seems simple again,” Fred stated smiling at his lady love.
Y/n was still admiring the whole scene, as he stepped closer to her. He ran his hands up and down her arms, as he started kissing her neck again. He nibbled on her earlobe, his teeth gently tugged on it. Turning in his arms, y/n pressed her hands against his chest, pecking him lightly on the lips.
“Simple for now at least,” she muttered playfully looking into Fred’s eyes that were shining mischievously.

Chapter One
“Where the hell have you been? What do you think you’re doing coming home so late?”
I always hated coming home to Percy’s nagging, but I kind of deserved it this time. I really did. It still didn’t feel good.
“It’s two o’clock in the morning,” Percy glared at me. “Hey, Danny where were you?” Juno chimed in, waking up from the couch. I turned around and Percy’s expression immediately changed when he saw my face.
“Daniel, what happened to you?” Percy asked, sudden wrinkles of worry etched onto his face. I ignored his question and headed to the bathroom to take a shower, but Juno stopped me. He gingerly placed his hand on my cut up cheek, his eyes taking in all my injuries. “Just go to bed now, Danny. You got school tomorrow,” he said quietly. I wanted to get a shower but I just nodded. Everything hurt, especially my head, so I needed to get some rest.
“No. Daniel, what happened?” Percy demanded.
“It doesn’t matter, nobody did it,” I said.
“Well, you didn’t do it to yourself, now did you?” Percy said.
“Guys, that’s enough. Percy, he just needs some sleep. We’ll talk in the morning,” Juno interjected. I just walked into my room, which I shared with Juno. I closed the door and laid down to listen to Percy and Juno.
“He’s too young to get beat up like that,” Percy said. I hear that a lot. I’m always too young. Older people like to use that excuse on me when they can’t or don’t want to explain something.
“I know, Percy. But he has school in the morning. Now is not the time to hound him about it.”
“What was he even doing to get beat up like that? Doesn’t that kid ever think? I told him a thousand times not to walk alone.”
“Percy, I’m tired, you’re tired, we got work tomorrow. Let’s just go to bed,” Juno said with finality and then he opened the bedroom door. I quickly closed my eyes to make it seem like I had been asleep the whole time. Juno got in bed and sighed. Not long after I heard his breathing even out, and I opened my eyes to look over at him. He was sound asleep and I was wide awake.
I ended up sleeping at some point because the next thing I knew, my alarm was going off and I begrudgingly sat up to smack the snooze button. I laid back, rubbing my hands over my face as I did every morning, but I forgot I had been whooped until the pain smacked me like a big, powerful ocean wave. I groaned and shut my eyes tight for a minute. I finally sat up again and looked at Juno, who was getting dressed for work. I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. I got in the shower and let the scalding hot water hit my back. I was in there so long that the hot water turned cold, and I was so out of it that I jumped when Percy yelled at me to stop wasting water. I finally got out and dried off. I put my clothes on and as soon as I opened the door I was greeted by Elliott. “Hey, kid.”
Elliott was Juno’s best friend. They’ve been buddying around together since grade school. Elliott hated me. Every time Juno tried to invite me to go with them somewhere, Elliott would moan and groan about how I was just a kid. He did it less since I turned fifteen, but he still doesn’t like when I go with them. Lucky for him I rarely want to go with them anymore.
“Hey Elliot,” I said as I went to sit at the table where I saw Benny, another member of our squad, or the group of boys we grew up with. There were nine of us. Benny was the joker of the group. He and Elliott were always hanging around our house. Elliott came to hitch a ride to work with Percy and Juno because they all worked at the same auto shop. Jack was the wild one who never wanted to follow the rules or the crowd. Nathan was my best friend, and he was the tamest of the group next to me. I usually hung out with Jack and Nathan or just Benny. Benny’s brothers sometimes hung out with Percy since they were the same age, and sometimes Nathan is stuck with his little sister when we’re hanging out.
“Is there a party I didn’t know about?” I asked, looking around the crowded table.
“Yeah, no whooped kids allowed, sorry,” Elliott said. Leave it to him to bring that up. “What the hell happened to your face anyway?”
“Yeah what did happen to you, Daniel?” Percy cut in, and I figured I should say something. Mostly because I didn’t want to hear about it anymore.
“I was in a fight. That’s all,” I said, shrugging and not looking up as I started eating the eggs Percy served for me. They were cold. I must have been in the shower for a long time.
“Daniel,” Percy started, but Juno cut him off. “We gotta go, Percy, we’re gonna be late.”
Percy looked at the clock and nodded. “Daniel, need a ride to school?”
“No, we’re walking with him,” Nathan called from the front door. Jack was standing behind him.
“I’ll be out in a minute!” I called back, rushing to my room. I combed my hair back and shoved my feet into my sneakers. I grabbed my backpack and hurried out before Percy could argue. “Hey Jack, how are ya?” I said as the three of us started walking.
“Hey, Danny,” Jack replied.
“I don’t get no hey?” Nathan teased. He used to be a lot less outgoing, but since he spent sixty days in jail for assault on a couple of kids who were trying to beat me up, he’s gotten a lot thicker skin. And along with that, he got funnier. He would never do something like that again, but people take him seriously now, and he’s no longer everyone’s chump like he used to be. I hate to say it but I really like this new Nathan. But he’s not all that tough. He got out early for good behavior and went back the next day to give the cops all cookies.
“Hey Nathan,” I said just to humor him. We smiled at each other and then cracked up. He put his arm over my shoulders. We soon got to school and Jack turned away at the entrance, heading downtown, probably to hustle somebody at the corner store. He dropped out last year. Nathan and I headed into the school and we immediately got taunted by the boys hanging around on the steps. My face went pink but Nathan stayed cool. He even flipped off some of the boys who called us names. My body still hurt from the beating yesterday and now my heart has to hurt more from their words. Whoever made up that dumb rhyme about sticks and stones was out of their mind.
Nathan and I had a few classes together. He was a junior and I was a sophomore, but some of my teachers say that I’m smart enough to skip another grade. I was hoping the guidance counselor would bring it up but she hasn’t yet. I walked to my locker with Nathan, who leaned on a locker to talk to me. “Don’t let those guys bother you, Danny,” he said, raising his hand to my bruised cheek and touching it lightly. I winced and he sighed, letting his hand drop. “Why won’t you tell me who did this?”
I had gone to his house right after I got beat up and he cleaned me up. I didn’t tell him then and I didn’t want to tell him now. “Because it doesn’t matter,” I answered, shoving my books into my backpack. Someone came to the locker Nathan was leaning on so he moved to my other side, pushing my locker door open more so he could see me.
“It does matter, Dan. What if they do it again?” Nathan said with a frown.
“They won’t, so it doesn’t matter,” I said, closing my locker and then walking down the hall to his. I stood next to him as he got his things. He was pretty quiet for a while before he spoke up again, “How do you know they won’t?”
“I just do, okay?” I sighed as he shut his locker. “Don’t worry about me so much. I can take care of myself.”
“Don’t worry so much? Well what else am I supposed to do with my time?” he teased. We reached my class and stood at the doorway for a moment. We just looked at each other and I knew he wanted to lean in and kiss me. I knew it bothered him that we couldn’t, but we just couldn’t and at least he knew that. “Bye, Danny.”
“Bye Nathaniel.”
He just laughed, tapping my hip with a closed fist before walking away. That was our thing. I guess it was our substitute for I love you since we couldn’t say it out loud. He always tapped me on the hip and I always tapped him on the chest. I watched him leave before going into my class and sitting in my seat near the front with the cheerleaders, who liked me, on one side, and the jocks, who didn’t, on the other side. As the bell rang, Billie Jo and Jordan came into the room and sat beside me. They were juniors and my closest friends at school besides the other kids from my neighborhood. Mr. Miller started the lesson and I started getting hit with paper balls. I heard the boys laughing. I called them the J Crew because they all had J names. Joey Smith, Jake Jones, and John Davis. Maybe that’s why they became friends. They’re always the ones bothering us less fortunate kids. They beat up Nathan last summer, and they’re the reason Nathan had to go to jail. They’re awful lucky he came out okay because Jack was ready to kill them for getting Nathan in trouble when it was their fault for attacking us in the first place. Now they continued to bother and harass me. But they weren’t the ones who beat me up, and I already told Nathan and Jack that. I didn’t tell them who it was, I just told them who it wasn’t. I tried to ignore the paper balls but I got irritated after about ten minutes and whipped around. “Would you cut that out?” I snapped, throwing a ball back at them.
“Woah, Mr. Hatfield, what’s the problem?” Mr. Miller said, finally turning around. I swear every teacher at this school is oblivious.
“They keep throwing paper at him,” Billie Jo piped up. “Look, it’s all over the floor.”
Mr. Miller stepped out from behind his desk where he had been lecturing and walked over, picking up a few of the papers. I saw the J Crew get nervous as Mr. Miller read the papers. His mustache twitched as he got angry. “All four of you go to the office,” he said, glaring at Joey, Jake, and John. “If there’s any funny business between here and there, you’ll have detention until you graduate.”
I rolled my eyes as I got up and walked out, turning to go down to the office. The three of them trailed a bit behind me. By the time we got there, the secretary was just getting off the phone with Mr. Miller. I stood to the side and the J Crew sat in the chairs. After a bit, the principal stepped out and told me to stay behind while he talked to the others. I sighed and sat down. I’d rather just be in class. They’re making a mountain out of a molehill when they usually do it the other way around. Either way, it’s always at the expense of the less popular percentage of the student body.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, Mr. James asked me to come into his office. “Mr. Hatfield, the boys have something they would like to say to you,” he said. Joey, Jake, and John all started reciting this little apology together. They were mumbling and I’m pretty sure Joey was just moving his lips. “We’re sorry for harassing you and now we know we shouldn’t make fun of people for being gay.”
“I’m not gay,” I said, my face reddening. “They were just being jerks calling me a fag.”
“I’m sorry, Mr. Hatfield. I shouldn’t have assumed,” Mr. James said. “You boys get to class, I want to talk to Mr. Hatfield for a moment.”
Joey, Jake, and John all shuffled out in a triangle formation, with Joey as their leader. Stupid goons, I thought as I looked at Mr. James. I knew what he wanted.
“Daniel,” he said, sitting on the edge of his desk, “I noticed you got a little beat up last night.”
I knew it. “Yeah, things got a little rough during a game of football.”
“Rough, huh? Who got rough with you? Your brothers?” Mr. James asked.
First of all, he’s really not a very subtle man. Second, I can’t stop thinking of all the notes I’m missing. And third, he must be extremely oblivious if he can’t realize I’m lying.
“No, one of the guys in my neighborhood. I kinda cheated and I punched him when he called me out so we got in a fight.” I was lying through my teeth and he was totally falling for it.
“I see. Well, you can get back to class now. Sorry for bothering you.” Mr. James gave me one of those cheesy grown up smiles that meant he had other things to do so I just nodded and left. I got back to class and sat down as soon as the bell rang. I huffed and packed up my stuff, borrowing Cherry’s notebook so I could copy down the notes. I walked out to meet Nathan, who I had my next class with. “Hey Nathan,” I said.
“Hey Danny, how was class?” Nathan replied as we walked.
“Good Lord,” I groaned.
“That bad huh?” he chuckled. “Glad I missed it.”
“Yeah. The J Crew decided to throw eighty paper balls at me today, all of which just said the word fag. I think that’s the most original work they’ve done all year.”
“Oh don’t worry they’ll come up with something more creative soon.”
“Yeah, maybe they can upgrade their vocabulary. Start calling me something fancy like, uh, Gaylord.”
“Oh man, watch out.” We both laughed all the way to class.
Soon the school day ended and Nathan was walking me home, but I didn’t want to go to my house. “Let’s go somewhere,” I suggested.
“We could meet up with Jack and do something,” Nathan shrugged.
“No, I just wanna hang out with you,” I said. “Let’s get in your truck and just drive somewhere. I wanna get out of this town for a little while.”
“Hm,” Nathan hummed, thinking. “Uh, alright. Where should we go?”
“Nowhere. Just drive, see where we end up.”
“Alright. I guess we could do that. Check in with Percy and grab anything you need, alright? I’ll go get my truck and meet you at your house.”
I nodded and walked back home by myself. It was only a block so it was okay. I went inside and went to my room, coming back out with my track bag filled with a few things I might need for our little excursion. As I headed to the door, Percy stepped out of the kitchen and stopped me. “Hey, where do you think you’re going?”
“What are you doing home?” I asked.
“The power went out in our building about an hour ago,” Percy said. “That’s beside the point. Where are you going?”
“What about Juno? You’re his ride home,” I said.
“Yeah I’m going back to pick him up later. I’ll ask again. Where are you going?” he demanded.
“Nathan’s house. We have to finish a project for class,” I lied.
“That the only homework you got?” Percy said, foolishly believing me.
“Besides the stuff I already finished at school.”
“Be home by dinner.”
“Okay,” I said, and left, standing away from the view of the windows until Nathan drove up and stopped. I got in and he drove down the road. Nathan was a careful driver, which was surprising because he learned from Jack. But, he learned how to take care of his truck from my brothers, the best mechanics around town. Juno says he’s dumb but I know he isn’t. He’s brilliant when it comes to cars. He just wasn’t good at school. He can’t be too dumb if he can take a car apart and put it back together blindfolded, which he hasn’t actually done yet but probably could. I should ask him to try that.
Nathan drove out of our neighborhood, heading east. “Did Percy say it was okay to take a trip to nowhere with me tonight?”
“He said it was okay to finish a school project with you tonight,” I said, giving Nathan a grin.
“Shoot, kid, you had me thinking there for a while that you might be a little honest,” Nathan joked.
“Well then my plan worked mighty fine,” I joked back.
We drove for a while, talking about whatever until we realized we were out in the country, and we passed a sign that said Welcome to Wentworth. It was a rinky-dink little town that seemed to have a total population of about five. And that was including the two of us. Nathan pulled into a gas station and looked at me. “This place is out of it, man,” he said, getting out to pump some gas into his truck. Since he got out of jail last year, he’d been working at the event center over in the far west of town as a busboy, valet attendant, and a bunch of little jobs like that on weekends and some days after school. He makes a lot of money from that. I’ve been saving up, too, but I do more odd jobs like babysitting and dog walking. No one will hire me yet since I’m only fifteen, and most places barely even trust sixteen-year-olds.
When Nathan got back in, he looked at me. “So where to, Daniel?”
“I dunno, do you wanna just go park somewhere and walk around?” I asked. “The country’s pretty nice. I’ve never been in a town like this, though.”
“Alright,” Nathan nodded, pulling out and driving down the road. He turned down a dirt road when we came to the edge of town, and it led us up a hill. Nathan parked and turned the car off. We both got out and looked around. “Is this nowhere enough for you, Danny?”
“Yeah, just about,” I hummed, going around the front of the truck to hold his hand.
“Say, Danny, you’re right. It is awful nice out here,” Nathan said, looking over the mountain to the horizon. We could see for miles. It was cool to see nature and not have the city smoke and smog and lights everywhere. Nathan turned to me and I turned to him, too. He kissed me, taking hold of both of my hands before pulling away. “Still wanna go walk around?” he asked me.
“Yeah,” I shrugged. “We can go check out the woods over there. Dad used to take us hunting in a place like this. I don’t think it was here, though.”
“Alright,” Nathan said and we started walking down the other side of the hill towards the rows of trees. Living in a city, albeit a small one, we don’t get to see this many trees all together. Even the suburbs on the west side of town didn’t have this many trees. It was nice to get back to nature. I haven’t been out in the country since before dad died. He wanted to take us the year before he died, but that’s when he got sick, so he couldn’t. It broke his heart that he couldn’t take us on our annual trip, and Percy promised that he would start doing it if dad couldn’t, but we haven’t been hunting in three years. I’m not that mad about it. Percy and Juno have both been too busy, and I kind of have been too, but the truth is I don’t like hunting. I don’t like guns. Maybe someday we’ll go back out to the country again when mom finishes her tour in Iraq.
We spent the rest of our time there out in the woods, just talking or laying down to watch the clouds. The sky was really clear and a nice, bright blue. It was the about that time of year when it starts to get chilly, so I was glad we took this chance to come out here. Soon enough, the leaves would start falling and the wind would switch over from being a cool summer breeze to a colder wind.
It was a little past sundown when we got back, and I knew Percy would be annoyed at me for being late, but I had an excuse so he wouldn’t be super angry. Nathan stopped in front of my house, tapping me on the hip with a closed fist. I smiled and returned the tap on his chest.
“I’ll pick you up tomorrow for school, okay?” Nathan said quietly.
“Yeah. Bye,” I nodded, unbuckling and getting out. I opened the gate and walked up the steps. I waved from the porch as Nathan drove away and waved back. Then I went inside.
“Where have you been?” Percy glared at me as Juno cleaned off the table. They must have just finished dinner.
“I was at Nathan’s,” I said. “We took longer than I thought we would.”
“Don’t you lie to me, Daniel. I called Nathan’s grandmother and she said you were never even there,” Percy said.
I totally forgot all about that. After Nathan got hauled in, there was a custody battle and Nathan and his sister ended up going to live with their grandmother, who actually cared about him, unlike his alcoholic father and verbally abusive mother. “Sorry.”
Percy looked surprised. I’m usually the type to make excuses, even if they were true, but I was in too good of a mood to start a fight. “I’ll do the dishes and then go to my room.”
“Yeah, but where were you?” Percy said.
“We went for a drive. I didn’t have any homework so I thought it would be okay.”
“That doesn’t mean you should lie.”
“I know. I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.” And with that, I went to the kitchen, washing the dishes and then going to my room for the rest of the night after I got a quick bite to eat. It was nice to not argue and all that. I read a book for a while until I fell asleep, but I didn’t sleep very well. My body still hurt, and I couldn’t stop thinking. But I was alright with it.

1+2p Hetalia High {Ch.6}
(Kat)
No longer questioning it.
I’m just the blogger reviewing it.
{Kat}'s POV
It was the dreaded day. Monday, the most hated day ever. I had finished my homework when I got home yesterday. Today for school I wore a F/A t-shirt,
Is that favorite animal?
Okay, I guess I’m wearing a walrus shirt.
a {Purple} skirt, and sneakers. I drove to school this time because I still was worried about the 2p!s. I parked in the school parking lot and walked into the front entrance. There were posters everywhere. I looked at one of them and saw that it was advertising for the upcoming dance.
Tumblr media
The clichés are getting to me.
I always went to the dances alone but that was alright. I usually danced like a dork and ate too much of the buffet table.
Pretty much.
Best time ever. I couldn't look at the poster long. I had something to do before everyone got to school. I walked to my first classroom. The teacher wasn't there yet. Perfect. I took two things out of backpack. The first was a bouquet of sunflowers. The second was the most adorable Hello Kitty plushie you have ever seen. I places the sunflowers on Ivan's desk and the plushie on Yao's desk.
Tumblr media
I set up my phone in the back so I could get the reaction. I quickly left the room. I waited next to the classroom. Eventually students started coming in. Yao and Ivan walked in at about the same time. I followed them in. Ivan picked up the bouquet "Who put this on my desk?" Ivan asked. Some of the students got scared. I guess I couldn't hide my guiltiness very well because Ivan walked up to me. "You put this on my desk da?" Ivan asked. Yao stood next to him. "Did you put this plushie on my desk aru!?" Yao asked. "Yes I did put those things on your desks."
Tumblr media
I said nervously. This wasn't going how I had planned. Suddenly Ivan hugged me. "Thank you da. These are my favorite kind of flowers." Ivan said smiling. "Where did you get this plushie!? It's so cute aru! I need more of these!" Yao said pointing at the adorable plushie. I smiled. "No problem Ivan! And my Aunt makes them Yao." I said. The rest of the time before class was spent talking about the things I had given to them.
OKAY, THAT’S NICE BUT WHY?
Eventually the bell rang and we all had to get to our seats. I noticed that Matthew blushed and snuck looks at me when he thought I wasn't looking.
Why is everyone in love with me?
I’m literally nobody important.
I wasn't sure what was up with him but I had a feeling. I also noticed that Alfred looked down.
Tumblr media
I knew it wasn't normal. I wrote a note and threw it at him. "Alfie what's wrong?" he took the paper and read it. He wrote something and threw the paper back at me. "Nothing {Kat} the hero is fine!" he wrote with little a drawing of superman. I giggled.
As cute as that is, it randomly switched to your point of view in the last chapter, so I know you are in love with me.
Like everyone else in this fanfiction.
I knew something was wrong but I also knew he wouldn't tell me. Eventually class ended and I packed up my stuff. I head to my next class. I walked into art and went to my easel. "Okay class. Pick a partner and sketch them." Mr. Percy said. Lovino and Feliciano came up to me at the same time. "Do you want to be my partner?" they asked in unison.
I’m so close to hurling myself off a bridge.
They looked at each other then looked back at me. Lovino looked a little down. I knew he was thinking that I would choose Feliciano. I've seen the episode where he stated it perfectly that he felt in his brother's shadow. "Sure! I'd love to be your partner Lovino." I said smiling. Feliciano looked a little sad.
Tumblr media
By the time this chapter is over, I will have run out of screaming gifs.
While Lovino had a heart in his curl and a blush on his face. We walked over to our easels. I started sketching Lovino. This would be easy since I always drew Hetalia characters. I drew him throwing tomatoes.
Why?
The teacher said time was up and to show our partners our drawings. I handed mine to Lovino as he handed his to me. He handed me a near perfect drawing of me. "Lovino it's amazing!" I said. Lovino blushed and turned away. "Psh. I know it is! I don't need you to tell me that!" he said. Lovino looked at my drawing. "It's pretty good for a ragazza (girl) like you."
Screw you.
Lovino said. I knew that was how he said it was good. "Thanks Lovi! I mean Lovino." I said. Lovino looked somewhere else and said "Y-You can call me Lovi if you want."
But you hate that. It reminds you of Spain.
he said his blush deepening. Oh my god did he just say what I thought he said? The teacher made us hand in our work when the bell rang.
(Timeskip to lunch)
You can’t just build chemistry with everyone.
It isn’t good for the story.
I decided to find Alfred before he sat down anywhere. I found him standing next to the vending machine. "Hey Alfred. I was wondering if you wanted to go to the park with me after school?" I asked him. Alfred blushed "R-Really dude?" he asked. I nodded and he smiled. "S-Sure! I-I'll see you there!"
Yes. I pick the fave.
he said walking away smiling. Well that seemed to cheer him up. Suddenly I was picked up by someone. I turned to see Ivan. "Hey Ivan. Why are you holding me?"
Tumblr media
I asked. "I'm holding you because you're going to sit with me."
Then why didn’t you just ask me?
he said carrying me somewhere. Meh I'm down with this. I let him carry me to a table where I saw two familiar people. Oh shit. Sitting at the table was Belarus and Ukraine. "This is my big sister Irunya and my little sister Natalya." he said letting me go. I could feel Natalya staring daggers at me.
Hi Bela.
How are you today?
"Hello Irunya and Natalya! I'm {Kat}." I said smiling. Irunya greeted me cheerfully while Natalya growled. "Natalya you are so pretty! I love the bow in your hair." I said honestly. Natalya's eyes softened a little. "Thank you." she said curtly.
I’m so so done.
I sat next to her and Ivan. I talked to Natalya most of the time. I certainly didn't want to be on her bad side. Irunya also talked to me about how Ivan talked about me. That got some blushes from Ivan and some grunts from Natalya. Eventually lunch ended and I had to leave. Science was spent with Alfred mixing chemicals he wasn't supposed to.
I hope I didn’t give myself burns.
Let's just say he won't be doing that again.
Good plan.
The bell rang signaling that school was over. I drove to the park that was about a block away from the school.
Why didn’t I walk?
That would make the most sense.
I waited for about 15 minutes for Alfred. 'Is he not coming?' I thought to myself. Just as I thought that, Alfred walked towards me. "Sorry i'm late dude! I was getting these for you." he said handing me flowers. "Oh these are so pretty! Thank you Alfie!" I said smiling. Alfred blushed and smiled.
Thanks. I like flowers.
"That's the hero's job after all!" he said. We walked through the park and talked about random things. Which video games we liked, what our favorite action movies were. "I like a lot of the marvel movies actually."
That’s actually 100% true.
I said. Alfred smiled widely. "Really dude!? I love those movies!" he said. "My favorite's captain America!"
Mine too.
he said posing in a hero pose. I laughed.
I could pick many screenshots from My Hero Academia to poke fun at this vague hero pose.
This:
Tumblr media
This:
Tumblr media
Or possibly this:
Tumblr media
I like to imagine the first one.
"Well looks like you're one heck of a hero Alfie!"
Tumblr media
Oh yes.
I said. Alfred laughed with me. We walked near a pond. "Aww look. There are ducklings!" I said looking at the water. There were two ducklings following the momma duck. The momma duck suddenly went frantic. "What's wrong with her?" Alfred asked. "I think she lost one of her babies." I said.
Oh no!
Alfred and I looked for the baby. Then we heard laughing coming from the other side of the pond. "Stupid bird! It bit me!" an angry voice said. Alfred and I ran over there. Two guys were holding a duckling and being mean to it.
Tumblr media
"You two! Stop that right now!" Alfred said. "What are you gonna do about it?" one the boys threatened. Alfred punched the guy in the face knocking him out cold. The other guy dropped the baby and ran. Alfred picked it up and put it back in the water next to it's mom. The mom quacked at Alfred as if to say thanks. Alfred laughed and said "You're welcome duck dude."
I guess Al is a Disney Princess now.
Headcanon accepted.
while they swam away. I hugged Alfred "Alfie that was amazing! You were so awesome!" I said. Alfred blushed deeply. "All in a days work!" he said. Eventually it got late and we both had to go.
Wow, way to skip the rest. I actually wanted to know what happened next.
I waved good bye to Alfred and left in my car.
Alfred's POV
Tumblr media
Did I mention I hate point of view changes like this?
Because I hate point of view changes like this.
A lot.
She asked me out! I pumped my fist. She hugged me and called me a hero! I know a hero should never be nervous but my tongue goes into knots when she's with me. My palms get sweaty and my heart races. I don't why but I every time I think about her I get really happy. She makes me really happy.
I love you too, favorite boi.
Okay, that appears to be it.
I still have no idea what that gift thing in the beginning was about. See you guys later!

Hi! Can I have a ship for HP, marauders & golden trio Era (w/ a boy)? I like to paint and draw, but I also LOVE to read, like a hella lot. Introvert&Ravenclaw, not shy, I don't fear people, I'm just really selective; people who I spent time with needs to be intelligent or useful (or dogs, I love them). I don't open up easily and but I do have a few friends and family which I love deeply & don't doubt to help or defend. Alone time it's vital for me but I love to cuddle if it's someone I trust.
Okay before I start this
 *cracks knuckles and neck*
It’s gonna be a long ass ship so get ready
Harry Potter/ Golden trio: Ron Weasley
Tumblr media
You noticed Ron for the first time, when he got a Howler from his mom in 2nd year. Your friends made fun of him later, and you did also because it was funny but you did feel sorry for the guy.
You always thought of him as another Weasley, not anything like Bill, Charlie or Percy, not that intelligent as you have a big standard for but for some weird reason you liked him. You couldn’t put it why excatly you like him, but something about him just felt attractive. So you developed a tiny crush on Ron Weasley in your third year.
As you thught the crush was completly gone, fourth year changed it all. Before you started going to the fourth year, your dad/mom had some bussiness to do with the Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office and he/she didn’t trust you being home alone for the next week. So you travelled to the Buro, where you met the WHOLE Weasley family.
You loved there. The first impression of the house was so cute. You felt like home already. When you entered you completly fell in love with house. It was adorable tiny old house with extra bedrooms and muggle stuff all around, books laying on the ground, drawings from every single Weasley and photos everywhere. It was just too adorable.
Meeting Arthur firs, he liked you already. You weren’t  afraid of meeting the others, but Ron was someone that made this weird feeling in your stomach. So when Molly came back home with the twins, Ron and Ginny you tried to relax as much as you could, but Ron was making it a bit harder to relax. Because there it was again. You haven’t talked to the guy, heavens you didn’t even like him like that, but something SOMETHING about him felt attractive on him and you hated not knowing what it was.
The whole trip to the Buro was amazing. You laughed with the twins and helped them with their plans for pranking other people, Ginny and you became really close with all the books the two of you have incommon and Ron, well you could talk to Ron about anything. And at first you didn’t notice it but you completly opened up to him, which you don’t usually do. With him, it felt like you could trust him completly.
Fourth year was amazing, you passed all your exams, there was the Triwizard Tournament and it really interested you. Hearing that Harry was chosen by the Goblet of Fire too, haven’t shocked you at all, because since he came to Hogwarts, every year was all the attentnion to the Gryffindor house and the Boy who lived. It kind of annoyed you to be honest.
What you really hoped to happen in the fourth year was that Ron would ask you out, but he asked someone else and you got stuck with a Durmstag boy named Tito. Honestly, what kind of name is Tito.
Fitfh year changed it all. You slowly felt your crush disapper, falling for one Ravenclaw. He was smart, hot and totally your type. But what you didn’t know he was a player and Ron noticed that. When he saw him flirting with you, he immediatelly walked over, trying to protect you from getting your heart broken. “I would walk away if I was you. (y/n) is way to good for you.” and the Ravenclaw would glance at you and the angry Weasley, noticing him clenching his fists and gritting his teeth and walking away. “What the hell was that all about?” you asked him. -”I just don’t like him playing with peoples hearts. He’s a player (y/n). Don’t let you his looks fool you. You don’t deserve him.” and with that he walked away, leaving you completly in shock. Ron Weasley? Kind-wise-cute Ron Weasley making you smile while walking back to your dorm.
This was proof you never got over your crush.
Sixth year you noticed how he has grown even taller, his big shoulder and deeper voice. It made you swoon everytime the two of you talked or walked by. There was this attraction and not knowing what it was made you want to ripp your own head off. So you finally decided to do something.
Even though the war was approaching, there were exams and you needed to tell him how you feel. You needed to find out what this feeling is. So as you heard he was struggling with History of Magic, you decided to offer your help. “Hey Weasley. I heard youu were having some troubles with History of Magic. I can totally prepare you for the exam. I know all the cheats with Proffesor Binns.” -”I would love to, but Hermoine is aready helping me and I kind of promised her..” -”Come on. I bet I’m not as stuck-up as her when it comes to details and all that stuff.” -”Yeah. You’re probably right. “
Damn that was a close one
The two of you decided to study in the Gryffindor Common room. Being the introvert that you are, you never saw what Gryffindor house looks like. And it was so gorgeous. The fireplace, the sofas everywhere and people were so much louder than in Ravenclaw. The two of you studied for about two to three hors and as he actually did study for it, you felt this weird rush as you need to tell him this now or you’re just going about to expload. His hair was messy ginger color, his eyes fixed on the book, and scanning the pages and his slim body was so well shaped and all you wanted to do was to be in his arms. It just felt so inviting. “(y/n)? You’re staring at me.” he smirked and glanced up to you. You shook your head, coming back to reality. “What?! No I wasn’t!” you denied, your voice cracking a bit. “I’m pretty sure I felt and saw you staring at me. I think you might have been drooling a bit too.” he grinned, closing the book, sitting in the criss-cross position and coming closer to you. “I was not drooling. Staring, yes. But that’s only because I find you really attractive and I don’t know why.” you blurted out, shutting him up immediately.
And so the panicking started. You started to blush, sweat and you had no idea where to look. Left? Right? Diagonally? That stopped once you felt his big hand grab you by the neck, pulling you closer and placing his lips onto yours. It was like fire at first. It hit you out of nowhere and spreading all over your body. All of those feelings you felt towards him for the past 5 years all explained in one kiss: You were bloody hell in love with him the whole time.
When he pulled away, a big grinn spreading across his face. “I like you too.” he said before pulling you into another kiss.
The relationship the two of you had was something that couldn’t be explained. The both of you were completly honest with eachother, telling eachother everything, him visiting you and sneaking into the Ravenclaw tower just to sneak into your dorm and watch you paint and draw peacfully on the bay window. It was the most beautiful view he ever saw. And withouth you arguing about it, he came over and sat, moving you into his arms and watching you continuing with the drawing / painting.
After the war was over, the two of you got married pretty soon. Moving in together and getting yourself a dog was like a dream come true. He helped you decorate your own art studio and you helped him with all the joke shop business he had with George.
But there was also times where he would wake up sweaty and scared. His memory of his dead brother Fred kept him awake most of the nights. You loved Fred just as much as he was your own brother and seeing Ron go through that was terrible to watch, especially if you were grieving too. So the two of you sat on the balkony/porch and just sit there in silence and later talk about it.
Ginny and Harry would come to visit almost every weekend with Hermoine and her boyfriend/housband and all three of you would usually get into a drinking game or just talking about your time in Hogwarts.
You guys would only fight for your dogs attention which was actually adorable. “(y/d/n). Come here boy/girl.” -”Come here (y/d/n). You love me more right.” -”Bloody hell (y/n). Are you trying our son/daughter to chose between us” - “Yes.” you said and grabbed the dog and ran.
Life with Ron is something you can’t rreally explain, because he would be a loving husband and a great father.
For the Marauders era: Regulus Black
Tumblr media
You and Regulus never got along. Ever. He was like the definition of I’m-rich-spoiled-best of the Black family- Slytherin, that made you want to trip him when he walks by, punch him when he gives you that smirk of his or hex him when he says soething inappropriate. He on the other side, liked you hella a lot.
He loves to go to the library only to see you sitting in the corner, curled up in a ball with a book in your hand . Or sometimes outside Hogwarts he sees you sitting on the light green grass and watch you sketch into your sketchbook. But what was the point of doing all of that when he acts like an idiot around you. He knew that, but he just panics when you are around. (Basically James Potter as a Slytherin).
Every day he would just appear out of nowhere and start flirting with you. Like you didn’t get that enough from the other Black. “Hello my Sunshine. I feel like today is going to be a great day.” - “Oh and why is that?” -”Because I get to see your gorgeous face matching that stunning body of yours.” he grinned, checking you our from head to toe. And you could’t do anything but to blush a little. Yes he was a self-righteous arse but without him, your six years of Hogwarts would be boring.
Him suddenly turning into the cutest fluffball around you made you want to melt where you stood. “There’s a girl with (y/h/c) hair, young and beautiful. it’s really hard not to stare. But what’s the point of this poem of mine, if all I get back is a cold decline.” he sang in a beautiful deep and husky voice.
The poem he wrote touched your heart, even though he could have written it a bit better, but it was beautiful, especially read in his voice. So you turned around and grabbed him by his green and silver tie. “Okay, this is how its going to be now Black. I am going on one date with you. One! And if I don’t like it, you’ll leave me alone okay?” you ordered him, making the hugest smile appear on his lips and the brightest sparkle in his eyes.
He made your first date the biggest mission in his life. It was more important than his own life, since he almost blew himself up practicing the spell for fireworks. He took you on a picninc. (original..i know) but it was amazing. The food that you tasted was something completly new. “Oh my god. I have no clue what this is but its so delicious.” you said, barely catching your breath from all the stuffin it all in your mouth. “I’m glad you like it. I cooked it myself.” You laughed to his response in disbelief. “Yeah right.” you continued to laugh but saw the seriousness in his eyes. “Wait. Are you serious?” - “It was always my little secret. Never told anybody, not even Sirius and he’ll probably never find out.” -”Regulus Black. A masterchef? Who are you?” -”It’s true. I used to sneak into the kitchen and prepare some meals instead of Kreacher. I also told him to keep his mouth shut about it.” he smiled and winked at you. “This is a whole new side I’m discovering of you.” -”Well that’s why first dates exist.”
And soon there was a second and a third and a whole bunch of dates coming. The two of you would be simply found in the Greenhouses, library or broomcloset snogging. He was a passionate kisser always leaving few marks on your neck, which you tried to hide them later. Greenhouse was your favorite snogging place. Maybe it was the plants or the smell of herb, but the two of you simply loved it. It was also the last place where the two of you would get cought.
Untill one day as the two of you were enjoying yourselves in privacy, the door swung open. “Okay kids. Everybody has their own pot with their own Mandarakes. It’s really important for First years to know this. It will also be mentioned in your Newts.” said Proffesor Sprout as they were struggling with finding their own seats. You and Regulus immediately stopped and tried not to laugh to this situation. It was really funny to be hones. Your shirt was off, as was his. His hair was in a complete mess, as was yours, but his was extra. He started chuckling and you quickly put your hand on his, hiding in a corner of leafy plant. You gave him glares to stop laughing but he couldn’t help himself. Untill you finally realized. “Mandarakes’ scream Regulus. We don’t have the earmuffs.” and his smile imediatelly dropped. You could feel him curse under your hand. -”Okay. Calm down. I got an idea. Put your shirt on.” he whispered as you tried to put you shirt back on. “Follow me..”he said before throwing himself out of the shadows and making all the firs years look at him. “Mr. Black?” said Proffesor Sprout, staring at the half-naked boy. He picked himself up and acted like he is completly lost. “Did you just apparate me here!?!” he yelled at you angrly. You suddenly realized what he was planning and you followed him. “YES! YES I DID! You want to know why! Because its the only way I can get your attention!” -”My attention! All I give you is attention!” -”Okay! Take this outside!” yeled Proffesor Sprout who totally bought it.
After the two of you left far from the Greenhouse, you two burst out of laughing. “You were amazing my love.” -”As were you.”
After Hogwarts the two of you rented a small apartment. It was his choice because he wanted something that he didn’t buy with his parents money. PLus they never agreed for him to date a Ravenclaw. They prefered a Slytherin. So the two of you argued, mostly because he was more of a cat guy and you a dog person. So after two months of fighting the two of you finally moved on and compromised, buying yourself a cat and a dog.
You wanted to paint your bedroom in your favorite color and he wanted to paint it green. “Green is ugly!” you yelled at him. “No it’s not. Its the color of nature, the color of ambition and lust.” -”Stop with that crap. Its ugly. I want (y/f/c). “
A lot of arguments that on the end of the day were solved by sex. Always.
Some days the two of you would be enjoying some quet time. You drawing or painting or him doing whatever Regulus does in his free time.
Morning cuddles, afternoon cuddles, a lot of talking during cuddles, nigh cuddles and talking about a lot of deep stuff.
Your mission would be gettin Regulus and Sirius back together because you really like Sirius as a person and you know how much Regulus misses him and at the end you would succeed.
Okay that’s all I got for this ship I really hope you like it. I know you said Harry Potter AND Golden trio but the ships I write are really long and I just thing its better for just to simply do Harry Potter or Marauders. But I prefer doing one era at the time. I fell in love with Ron while I was writing it because he is just the best. Anyways I hope you like it :) Also sorry if it took me so long.
