my one (ha!) critique of the Barbie movie is the use of the creator versus creation dichotomy. Like I love the film, will be buying the DVD, am obsessed with it, but as a person who creates things I’d love to just be a creation and just exist in my perfect little world. I get the need to grow beyond it, I am constantly needing to grow beyond my skills, but given the choice between creator and creation and the fact that ideas live forever I would much rather be a creation and live forever and be myself with no need for change and adaptation because I simply Exist. I have Made and Created so much in my short life, the desire to be human and “experience it all” isn’t a good enough motive for me in this case
