In a mood so let's have the idea of Erik and Charles arguing about humans again. And by mood I mean I want some agnst because by humans I mean Moria vs Magda. It will be emotional as you think it would be!

Okay the idea of Erik going on and on about his hatred for humans (Moria) and Charles reminding him that Magda, his first love, was a human too. Not only that, but his mother. I feel like that's always forgotten. Number 1 Mama's Boy Erik Lehnsherr is against the very thing his mother was.

But also there's the idea of Moria being around and Charles dating her. Erik HATES her. He goes on and on about how much he doesn't like her, doesn't like humans, really. And how Charles could do better. He could be dating a mutant at least. An age old argument between the two of them. Only for Erik to then go out, meet Magda and fall in love. Charles holding it over his head for as long as his and Magda's love lasts. Much longer than Charles and Moira made it, at least. Erik insisting that Magda was an exception to the rule, she didn't follow it and was so much better than the other humans, she understood and knew what Erik was talking about. She listened to him and wasn't afraid of him. She loved him and really, that was all Erik was after, love.

the thing is, no one would ever believe Erik. They would insist there was another reason behind their marriage. Surely Magneto wouldn't just marry a human for no reason (it wasn't no reason, Erik would insist, it was because I love her). I'm not even sure Charles would believe Erik until he saw them for himself. There's no way he would believe the man he had spend hours and hours debating mutant superiority with would just simply put aside his beliefs and convictions for someone he met one day and ended up falling in love with.

The point remains that two of the most important women to Erik (maybe 3 if we're counting Ruth) were humans. Charles would insist on using that against him just to see Erik turn red with anger in their arguments and stomp off angrily because he can't deny it or argue against that.

Moira was just the worst of the worst. The Spider Georg of bad humans. She should not be counted because she is an outlier. Look at Magda and Edie instead.

I'm sure everyone has an old dead author/poet/playwriter/etc. that they have personal, probably unreasonable, debatably irrational beef with because of their life/writing/etc. or because schoolwork made them hate the author by association.

What's the author that, should a character based on them appear in BSD, would have you hissing and biting and scratching the walls (derogatory)? What caused this personal grudge? Did it already happen to you and your dreaded author freely walks the BSD world?

I'll start: I have beef with early 1900s French novelist Émile Zola because he came up with naturalism, which is fiction with the pretense of being "scientific" through "objective" observation of the human nature (ignoring that the author has the power of god over their story). If a character based on him showed up in BSD I'd drop-kick them on the spot.

rodya does have a need to feel special. i do think this is core to her character. but sonya insisting that thats the only reason she cared to kill the pawnbroker is just very clearly an attempt to make her feel worse about the situation and prove that her way is wrong while his is correct. he insists thats the only reason she did it. she agrees because she is so full of self hatred shes just waiting for someone to say something, and its her childhood best friend, he must be right. of course she cared about her village. of course this was for them too.

I'm not sure what this is in response to? I think this might be for a post I reblogged, in which case I would recommend you confer with the OP of that post to best understand their intentions and perspective.

Anyway, you can point that out, and have, but I think Vasselheim would only pursue him if he specifically tried to steal information from Vasselheim. He could probably authorize raids on any temple within the Empire without any retaliation, he demonstrably can seize control of archaeological sites, he did straight up steal the Omen Archive from the Grim Verity and Vasselheim's specific response and motivations are unclear (were they chasing him for that, or for, you know, the giant-ass Magic Moon Antenna in the desert), and more generally he's a 900 year old archmage who could have spent the past 600 years developing an elaborate infiltration system for every single academic or religious institution in Exandria if he were willing to actually build a loyal and dedicated heist crew instead of a system of underlings who high-key fucking hate him.

I think many people vastly overestimate the reach and involvement of Vasselheim. I know I made a joke about the Dragon Vatican but actually the way religion and worship works in Exandria seems rather decentralized. Vasselheim hasn't, for example, declared war on the Dwendalian Empire for outlawing half the Prime Deities. If Ludinus physically infiltrated Vasselheim, stole stuff, and was noticed, then yeah, Vasselheim would retaliate, but that's by no means the only way to do research on the gods.
