#someone write a canon compliant ‘the prank’ fic

Guys, Sirius canonically did not care about the prank.

He shows ZERO remorse for what he did, I don’t know why this fandom absolutely adores absolving the marauders of their flaws, but it’s quite annoying. Sirius, canonically, did not care or feel remorse for what he did, he in fact justified what he did, and I love Sirius, he’s one of my favorites but come on, he sucked as a teenager, as did all the marauders.

I’ve also seen a lot, a LOT of people try to make Sirius’ actions come from a place of self defense, or some type of retaliation for something that Snape did but that’s also incorrect. His exact reasoning is(down below)

"It served him right," he sneered. "Sneaking around, trying to find out what we were up to... hoping he could get us expelled..." -Sirius in POA

After that Remus remarked that Sirius did it also because he found it amusing, and Sirius did not interject to disagree.

Also, a lot of people forget how important the prank was to James’ character, up until that moment James was to put it bluntly a complete dickhead to Snape, and vice versa sure but James was a dick, however he went out of his way to save him, and sure you could argue he did that for Remus more than Snape, but he still saved Snape. Diminishing the prank to just wolfstar angst is objectively incorrect.

Anyways, I still like “the prank” angst, but really guys, he did NOT care like at all. I also feel like there is so, SO much more angst potential with Sirius’ canonical feelings, rather than the angsty “it was a mistake” route that the majority of this fandom takes.

Years later your family moves to England and you get accepted at Hogwarts where you finally see Sirius once again, along with all of his friends. One of them with a mysterious secret, that you'll uncover as you embark on your own Hogwarts adventure. Mostly canon-compliant. This IS a wolfstar x reader fic, but it's incredibly slow burn. They won't start all dating each other until we're very deep into the story, but I promise the long wait will be worth it.

You guys know I wanted to make another interlude, but upon lack of time, and because I don't want to have you wait another week to read the next chapter (darling @aremuslupinsimp for sure needs someone to vent about the absolute rollercoaster of emotions that it is) I've decided to make it a WEEKL-LONG EVENT!

But Lilly, What does that mean? It means you can send as many questions as you might have and I'll try to address all of them within the week. Including anything related to last week, this week's, and the next week's chapter (although I will not spoil that one).

Adding a few questions here, just as a start:

Have you always known where the story is going or have you kind of figured it out along the way? do you have the ending planned?

Hey love! I do have a base idea of where GC is going. I've had these big plot points thought out from the very beginning to the part where they all start dating. Having said that, a lot of things that happen in the story, and that are in between those points, are just me letting my imagination soar, and a lot of those chapters end up being some of my favourites.

I wanted to end the story either before they end school or before 1981, but now that I've gotten so attached to the characters, I've honestly thought of writing past that, and "fixing" some of the things that happen in canon. But who knows, that's like a whole other fic just on how much plot it would have.

SoIi can’t really remeber if the ‘prank’ that Sirius pulled on Snape had already happened in Gilded Constellations, if it hasn’t will it be happening or will it just get skipped over?

It's happened already (in 5th year). That's the reason Snape is weary about leaving Vixen in the Shack in "Bad Moon Rising". He knew she would be in danger because there was a werewolf inside. He couldn't say anything to them because of the young twisting charm Dumbledore put on him, and he's never been brave enough to stand up to the other Slytherins, so he went straight to Lily and told her Vix was in danger.

That's why Lily knew about Vixen being in danger when Sirius showed up with a fox in his hands and was livid about it.

I'm terrible with estimations, originally it was going to be a short 5 chapter-long series. And then I wanted to end it at thirty, and then at forty. So far I've written 55 chapters, but I'm thinking of ending before chapter 70. (That's IF I don't get carried away).

Do we get to know if Sirus ever got that necklace back from the first few chapters?

Oh, the necklace is still on Vix's neck and it's going to be HUGE in the next couple of chapters. I've been building on is for a while and I'm really excited about it finally happening.

How is it going with Remus' and reader's fireworms?

They are amazing! They've implemented a whole system that helps them get fed automatically. They're probably going to ace that test.

Are we seeing more to Nina?

Definitely.

After they come back from winter break will the study group start again?

I mean, there're going to be a LOT of things happening after the Winter Break, but I assume yes. Also the reading club, the reading club is going to happen.

How long do we have to wait 'till Remus, Reader and Sirius go out?

I think I'm about one or two chapters away from writing that, but I'm a few chapters ahead. But it's waaay less than before.

Does Nina have a little crush on Reader or is it just me?

I mean, there's a reason why the ribbon she tied on her quidditch gear was enough to defend Vix from Barty's spell. And why, more than once, Nina's love has proven to be a strong protective spell over the reader.

Are we getting more lessons like some of the first chapters?

Yup, not very soon, since the next few chapters will all be happening over the winter break, but once they're back in school, certainly.

I'm really excited about the questions I might get, also a bit terrified about the questions I'll get after Chapter 44, but of well, the show must go on.

Hey! I've recently felt the urge to write for the first time since I was a child, and when I sat down to explore that some scenes of Regulus and Sirius at home for Christmas kind of poured out of me, I'm now considering building on those to write a long, canon-compliant, Regulus POV Jegulus fic.... In your writing, how do you navigate originality, since fanfiction is inherently emulation to some degree? Tbh I'm mostly worried about other fics, not so much the canon text.

i sort of feel like unless you specifically look at someone else's work and go "i'm gonna do that" then you don't need to stress about how original your writing is, you know?

l think in the age of copyright we're all a bit too obsessed with like "this idea was mine" when in reality a) i think that's just bad for art since art does and should inspire other art and b) no it isn't, like that idea is not yours. you think in the WHOLE of human history you are the only person to ever have that thought? you might be the first person who legally claims it, but i promise you are not the first person to think it

the human experience in general is not entirely unique right? like a lot of our lives will follow certain patterns, certain events occur to many people, it is what allows us to relate to one other. what is unique is how we interpret or react to those events. and i think writing is similar? fanfiction is kind of a testament to that. like how many fics have The Prank™ in them, right? and none of them are the same, all of them are exploring different aspects of that concept.

like to me, plagiarism requires intentionality, you have to be intentionally trying to copy something (so if you look at someone's work and rewrite it changing a few lines so it isn't *identical* that is still plagiarism) but it's ridiculous to pretend like we aren't all constantly being inspired by the works of other creators both in this space and outside of it. AND AGAIN, that is a good thing.

i don't know if this is at all an answer to your question? like i suppose, i am well aware that i have been influenced by the things that i have read in fanfiction and published works, that they have impacted me as a writer, but it would be no fun to me to try to reproduce those works, i don't even think i could. So elements of them may be in my lil brain, but when i write i'm not thinking about them, so if they come out they come out twisted and reworked and mutated into something that is very much personal to me in some way

Ok I have so many prongsfoot thoughts but I just thought of a fairly canon compliant AU where they get together in Hogwarts:

Sirius is the first to acknowledge his feelings for James as non-platonic. He’d hide it for a while because he’s content with having whatever part of James he can get

James is blissfully unaware and continues to pursue girls. Lily rejects him in fifth year and later on, Sirius moves in with him after running away. All this extra time together causes him to slowly become aware of his not so platonic feelings for Sirius

I think the tipping point would be in their sixth or seventh year when Sirius has a fling with another guy and James just can’t help but meddle and say things like “oh I don’t like him padfoot he’s a git” “he’s not good enough for you” etc. So Sirius is obviously pissed off and asks him “why do you care” and James’ feelings just come tumbling out lmao

Okay THIS! Yesssss oh my gosh I can totally see this happening in cannon it just makes sense. Like, Sirius surpressing and taking what he can get and James just hopping along through life completely oblivious.

And of course once James figures it out he wouldn’t be able to keep it in. If we have his feelings for Lily to go by, James would be trying so hard not to throw his feelings for Sirius out into the world but he’d be so bad at keeping them to himself. He’d struggle. But because they’re best friends Sirius just doesn’t pickup on it because he’s blind to his own feelings.

And then the moment Sirius shows interest in someone new, especially a bloke, James’ jealousy would go haywire. It would be rude comments and snark remarks, he’d be looking on the marauders map for them and interrupting their closet make outs, he’d be pranking the bloke all the time like covering him in goo and putting dung bombs in his pockets and just making him as undesirable to Sirius as possible.

Sirius would get so mad so fast and approach James, yelling about it, “Why are you doing this?! I thought I could trust you!? If you’re just gonna be a homophobic git than you can get fucked!!”

And that’s where it would all come out, “A homophobic git?! A homophobic fucking git?! I’ll have you know I’m quite the fucking opposite you piece of shit!”

“What the fuck are you talking about, James?!”

“I’m queer too, you git!”

“Well than what’s your issue with him?! Why aren’t you happy I’m finally with a bloke?!”

“Cause the bloke is not fucking me!”

“Oooohhh.” Sirius would laugh quite manically at that, “You seriously, out of all the blokes in Hogwarts, want to fuck the one guy I’ve managed to grab for myself? You’re a fucking cunt, James.”

“What?!”

“Come on! I know he and I aren’t anything serious but you can’t just snatch him away from me!”

“What? No!” James would huff and grab onto Sirius’ shoulders, “I want to snatch you away from him, you big idiot!”

“What?” Sirius would mumble, and then James would roll his eyes and pull Sirius into a big fat kiss. And then once all the dots connect in his head he’d melt and mumble, “Oh.” Into the kiss before grabbing onto James and-

Okay, you get it. Basically, I agree! Hope you enjoyed the very mini fic I had no intention of writing though. Seriously it just came out of me.

about those prank thoughts... well i’d love to hear them sooo if you needed an excuse to write another essay here it is

kissing u on the mouth anon ok here we go here's the prank rant (warning it got super long):

ok so this is limited in scope because as i've said before, i've only been in this fandom for like ~1.5 years, so idk anything about how the prank was talked about/handled before this. BUT. what i personally have seen. is essentially:

atyd gets super popular via tiktok -> it becomes sort of "canon" (at least, amongst newer marauders fans) that The Prank was like...this really devastating event that tore apart the marauders friend group, because that's how it was characterized in atyd--despite the fact that in the actual canon, it honestly doesn't seem like as big of a deal -> since it becomes the New Canon that The Prank was Such A Horrible Thing, suddenly people begin talking (mostly on tiktok) about how awful and unforgivable it was for sirius to do something like that. this devolves into this big discussion of people saying either

it's completely out of character for sirius to do The Prank and he never "really" would have done it; we should just ignore that part of canon

The Prank is so unforgivable that it makes sirius a completely irredeemable character

The Prank is so awful that anyone writing it in a canon compliant fic should be showing every single marauder turning against sirius and everyone hating him/telling him what he did was so awful and wrong, and it should take a really long time and a lot of apologizing/changed behavior before remus ever forgives sirius

and this then got extended into debates about james' characterization; I saw sooooo many people talking about "james would NEVER just forgive sirius for something like that" "james would side with remus" etc etc etc

and the end result of all these conversations was that i saw tons and tons of people saying that the way The Prank was written in atyd was Bad. not just--oh, i didn't like it, though there was plenty of that too, but people acting as though the way it was written was a moral failing, as though mkb had failed to convey how Horrible and Awful of a thing the prank was, and in doing so she had allowed people to Sympathize with sirius's character, when he should have been Punished. suddenly everyone was climbing on their high horses about The Prank, talking about how unrealistic or out of character or "problematic" it was to write it the way it was done in atyd--which was ironic to me, because from where i was sitting, it seemed like it was atyd that had solidified this fanon idea that The Prank was Such A Bad Thing in the first place (again, at least amongst fans brought in by tiktok).

SO. my problem with this. setting aside the conversation of whether The Prank was actually That Bad in the first place (because i think it can be written as a more or less serious event, depending on how you interpret canon--but personally, i tend to interpret it as something Very Bad, so let's start with that premise) and operating under the assumption that it was, in fact, a really horrible thing that put not only snape + james in danger but also remus, since he could have been exposed as a werewolf--the thing that drives me up the fucking WALL about The Prank discourse is that it is, to me, just one example of this obsession with Morality and Punishment when it comes to "literary critique" (using that term loosely, because i'd argue that a lot of what these people are doing actually isn't literary critique) in the marauders fandom (post-tiktokifcation, at least).

like. specifically, it's this idea that something like The Prank would make sirius, as a character, irredeemable, and that it would be unrealistic for his friends to forgive him. that, to me, is just....such a strange interpretation!!! because if you are friends--close friends, childhood friends--with someone for long enough, they will hurt you. you will hurt each other. it is an inevitable part of being human that getting close to each other and staying close to each other often means hurting each other. and the closer you are with someone, the more they can hurt you. i have a childhood friend who is essentially like family to me, and i was cruel to her when i was fourteen. i was dealing with a lot of shit, and i was young, and i was mean. and we've both been cruel to each other in the nearly two decades we've known each other, and we've had explosive fights, but we have always found our way back to each other and forgiven each other, because that's the kind of friendship we have. i have another childhood friend who hurt me so deeply when we grew older that despite having my literal handwriting tattooed on her arm, we haven't spoken in five years, and will probably never speak again. that kind of hurt is a risk you take when you let people in.

so to me, the idea that a teenage boy raised in an abusive environment who has just run away a few months earlier, who is dealing with all that shit as well as the regular shit of just being a fucking teenager, would thoughtlessly and deeply hurt his friend--that isn't out of character! in fact, i think it's entirely in character, and i think it's a crucial part of sirius's relationship with remus and the other marauders. because the fact that remus is able to forgive sirius says something important about their relationship. what exactly it says will vary, to a certain extent, depending on the details of how you write the prank and characterize the characters, but overall--it's important because it's showing that their relationship is strong enough and close enough and important enough to both of them that they are able to move past this deeply hurtful event. and that, to me, is a WAY more interesting and impactful relationship to read about than a relationship where two people are always good and never hurt each other.

and regarding james--personally, i love the characterization that james forgives sirius "too quickly" or "too easily" after the prank, because i think it's an opportunity to explore one of his most important character flaws, which is that he cannot imagine that his friends would ever purposefully do something bad/harmful. like--this loyalty and belief in his friends is literally what gets him killed. what amazing foreshadowing to show that even when his best friend does something blatantly wrong, james still thinks--well, he didn't mean it. his intentions weren't bad. and obviously he's sorry--and he's a still a good person, because he's my friend, and my friends are good people. like THAT is how you write a character flaw!

and speaking of character flaws--this is also one of the best opportunities, if you're following canon, to really explore some of sirius's character flaws! and again, it's gonna change depending on how you're writing certain details, but in some way shape or form this is a very important mistake for sirius to make in order for his character to grow--obviously, something has to change afterwards, because otherwise how could remus forgive him? but what has to change? how does it have to change? good characters aren't meant to be static!!

it's just. !!!! The Prank is truly, genuinely, one of the BEST opportunities from canon that you can use you really explore these characters and their flaws and their relationships with one another. so it is genuinely BAFFLING to me to see sooooo many people condemn it and act like it's this atrocious thing, because i feel like it demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of what literature is meant to do. like--i've talked about this before on my blog, and i'll keep saying it til the cows come home, but fictional characters do not exist as moral blueprints. good literature should engage your critical thought, and "character does Bad Thing -> character is Bad" is not critical thought!!! like!! fiction isn't telling you how to live, it's asking you to think about the human condition--and part of the human condition is that people make mistakes, and they hurt each other, and they have to figure out how to keep living in the wake of that hurt!! The Prank is this plot point where you can bring up really tough questions, like--how does closeness with others leave us vulnerable to them? is that vulnerability worth the closeness? what role does intent play in measuring harm? what can we forgive? what can we not forgive?

i get that sometimes with fanfiction you just want fluffy happy brain-off fun, but you can find that if that's what you want, y'know? like--it's just so so strange and honestly concerning for me to see people act as though something like The Prank shouldn't be written just because it means giving characters flaws and exploring them.

in conclusion, The Prank is one of my favorite parts of canon, and i truly think it is so worthwhile to explore when writing and thinking about these characters, especially sirius. also--it is important to understand, both within and outside of literature, that having flaws and causing harm does not automatically make a person irredeemable. if we are going to live with each other we need to learn how to respond to people fucking up in ways that are not just: You Are Bad And Must Be Punished.

Saving The Dance.

note: this is based off of a video I saw on TikTok about watching little women and only seeing Hermione and Regulus Black in Meg and Laurie. Someone made a comment saying they wanted a fic of this and I said I’d write one and then like 30+ people responded saying they wanted to be tagged so here I am. Sorry if the speech is very old-timey I’ve been reading a lot of period piece novels and watching a lot of period shows I don’t actually remember how to write them like people who aren’t from the 1850s.

warnings: none, tad bit of Ron hate maybe but mot really bc I love him and he’s my boy. Also Ron x Hermione bc Ron redeems himself. Obviously this is not canon compliant ALSO THIS IS NOT A SHIP. my girl Hermione gets shipped with everyone in Harry Potter even if they are two decades older than her and dead so this is NOT A SHIP.

Ron has done it again. He has ruined yet another ball for Hermione. First was the Yule Ball and now it was the Blacks yearly Summer Solstice Celebration. Hermione was so looking forward to this but of course Ron had to go and ruin things by opening his big mouth.

As the name implies, a member of the Black family holds this celebration in the first day of the summer solstice each year, this year it was Regulus turn. The ball was being held at 12 Grimmauld Place. Sirius had passed the house down to Regulus because he wanted nothing to do with it, since then Regulus had made some great improvements on the place.

However Hermione was enjoying none of these improvements. She was sitting solemnly on a couch, resting her head over the back of it so she can stare out the window and mindlessly pick at the loose threads. Since she had sat there not one person had come to see how she was though she was very clearly upset.

Harry was off galavanting with Sirius, Ginny was discussing something with Draco (most likely quidditch strategies, that’s all they ever talked about). Fred and George were slipping something into Mr. Malfoy’s drink as Neville and Luna acted as a distraction (Hermione watched this for a while as it was mildly entertaining. Neville was stumbling over every third word and Luna was speaking with her ever serene, if a little… absent, smile about something that was very obviously making little to no sense to Mr. Malfoy. But he didn’t seem to know how to properly excuse himself from the conversation). Remus was very deep in discussion with Mr. Moody and Tonks about something that Hermione thought was probably very interesting, as Remus always had good topics of discussion, and Ron. Ron was resolutely avoiding her after their blow up fight earlier. He was even going as far as to talk with Blaise, Pansy, Theo which she didn’t believe he had it in him to do so. But apparently their fight earlier had pushed him to the most drastic of measures as to not have to talk to her or be asked why he wasn’t talking to her.

Suddenly, there was a weight to the right of her that landed on the couch, it was the host himself. “My dear Hermione, why’re you sitting here by yourself instead of dancing with everyone else?” Regulus asked. Hermione used to try and call him Mr. Black, but he insisted on being called Regulus just like how Sirius was just called Sirius and Remus was just called Remus.

Hermione gave a half hearted smile but it slipped off her face almost immediately, “I don’t feel much like dancing.” She said quietly. There was lively music playing and as she looked out at the floor she saw many people dancing together in pairs. They danced together and spun around in some formation that looked like some traditional dance that you might’ve found in the 1860s somewhere.

Mr. Malfoy had managed to weasel out of his conversation with Luna and Neville and was dancing with his wife. Whatever prank Fred and George were trying to play on him either hadn’t worked or hadn’t worked yet. Luna and Neville were dancing together, Sirius was dragging Remus onto the dance floor (Hermione giggled, Sirius looked ridiculous trying to force Remus to dance and Tonks was laughing hysterically in the background), Draco was dancing with Pansy and Matteo and Theo were also dancing together but Matteo seemed way more into it than Theo was. Ginny and Harry had also just joined the floor, laughing together as they hopped around in circles.

Regulus tilted his head to the side as he put both his hands in his lap, “why not?” He asked, drawing Hermione’s attention away from the dance floor. She bit her lip and looked at her own hands which were lightly tugging at the frills on her dress.

“I don’t know, I just— it’s silly, I just, I suppose I don’t feel pretty enough to join everyone else tonight….” She said the last part quietly, memory of Ron’s nasty words from earlier threatening to bring tears to her eyes once more.

“Why, that’s just absurd!” Regulus said, his eyebrows furrowed as the dancers in the background clapped to the song as they continued dancing. “Who would put such a thought in your head? I hope it wouldn’t be yourself.”

Hermione just shook her head. As angry and upset as he had made her, she wanted to rat Ron out and potentially get him in trouble, especially if Regulus told Mrs. Weasley. They would work it out, eventually, they always did. After a few moments of silence Regulus seemed to understand that she wasn’t going to give up the name of the person who had made her feel so unpretty. So he nodded and stood up.

“Hermione you are one of the most beautiful young ladies here tonight, would you do me the honor of having the next dance with me?” He said dramatically as he bowed and held out his hand for her to take. She felt slightly embarrassed by the gesture, but it worked in putting a smile on her face.

She took his hand and he brought her to the dance floor as the music picked up again. The stood facing each other and as they did it dawned on Hermione, “wait, but I don’t know the dances!” She said with slight panic in her voice, Regulus laughed.

“No need to know them! Just follow my lead and you’ll be fine.” And after that the dance started and Regulus pulled her with him as he moved.

By the middle of the dance Hermione had found her rhythm. But it didn’t really matter, the dance was mostly fancy hopping and heel clicking with your hands behind your back or spinning or stepping and stepping out. It didn’t take long for a smile to stick itself on Hermione’s face. Instead of trying to teach her the proper dance Regulus tried to make the dance fun, and so it was.

After three dances it was time for a break as Hermione didn’t think she could feel her toes anymore. She walked off the dance floor feeling much lighter and laughing the whole way, when they were on the outskirts of the floor Regulus took her hand politely and bowed deeply thanking her for the dance which made her giggle. He excused himself to go find his brother while Hermione grabbed herself a drink.

Someone cleared their throat behind her and she jumped, turning around to see none other than Ron. He was looking rather awkward as he rocked back and forth on his heels.

“Ron… is there— is there something I can do for you?” Hermione asked in the most indifferent and uninterested tone she could muster as she squared her shoulders and cleaned her face of the joy she had been most obviously feeling moments before. Ron coughed awkwardly, stuttering for a moment as Hermione’s facade fell quickly.

“I— I just wanted to say… I’m sorry. For earlier I mean. And— and I take back what I said. You look… you look very beautiful.” He was blushing furiously, playing with his fingering and wearing a worried expression like he thought maybe she wouldn’t forgive him. But she sighed, a soft smile creeping onto her face.

Hermione smiled, grabbing onto his arm. “Of course, Ron.” He grinned back and when the last song ended and people started to reconfigure themselves Ron and Hermione joined them. They stood facing each other and just past Ron’s shoulder Hermione caught sight of Regulus.

They met eyes and smiled, he smiled back raising his eyebrows momentarily and winked before being met by Pandora Lovegood. He nodded before following her out onto the dance floor.

Hermione looked back and met eyes with Ron, an uncontrollable grin plastering itself on her face. Maybe tonight won’t be that awful after all.

Oh yess, Someone letting me talk about my baby. My favorite child. It’s not even a secret, the other children know. And I’m not sorry.

So I will follow you into the dark is definitely my favorite. It’s so self indulgent. It combines my first hyperfixation with my current one and that’s just great for me, caters to all my needs you know.

We are currently 70k in and have one part done. I’m very exited for the rest. For the slow burn. The ghosts, I have so many thoughts. I think it’s pretty plot and angst heavy but I also love that for me. I’m scheming so hard about what’s gonna happen. And I’m so exited to get back to them after the hiatus now. Three months was so long, god.

Okay, I am generally very exited to get back into writing I will follow you into the dark, because I’ve missed my babies and the routine I had with it (churning out a 6-10k chapter a week, I don’t know how I did that tbh).

But also, my mind is constantly at the Jennifer’s body au. I am thinking so many thoughts, soo many. I’m very exited to write some murder, gore. I have a very clear idea of the Lay-out I want (cause it’s gonna be a little different I think). Also the smut, I’m not gonna lie I am exited for that too. I think it had soo much potential.

📄 what’s a wip you never finished that you would like to go back to and revisit?

Soo the first fic I ever wrote for this fandom was actually Peter centric. I wrote about five chapters. Something around 30k if I remember correctly, but i lost interest and gave it up. I do have plans to pick it up again and probably turn it into a longer one shot instead of a multi chapter. Maybe throw in some James/Peter. It will be canon compliant. Starting around the prank and ending when he dies something like that. But that won’t be a thing for a while.

Being a ghost is boring most of the time. Especially if you’re the type no one can see.

You usually spend your days idling by, phasing through anything and everything, save for solid terrain. Though recently, you’ve taken a liking to people-watching. Who knew humans could be so interesting? They live, they love, they laugh - they die, they hate, they cry. Particularly, you have been intrigued by a pair of friends who go by Chongyun and Xingqiu, the former an exorcist and the latter an heir to a renowned guild. Oh, all the things that humans do to leave behind a little proof…

The exorcist seems to always look bothered or bored and the young heir would try to cheer him up by pranking him. The pair is such a delight to watch, you thought. But on this specific day, you decide that you are going to eavesdrop on their little conversation instead of merely watching. Chongyun’s frown on this day seems more prominent than usual, which worries you somewhat. And as always, his chivalrous friend is by his side, in another attempt to trick him into an exorcizing gig.

“C’mon Chongyun, chin up! Tell you what, I heard that someone found a haunted doll near Wangshu Inn…don’t you wanna check that out? Wouldn’t that be fun? Usually you have to deal with regular spirits but maybe this one’ll be different!” Xingqiu tries to convince his friend, nudging his shoulders playfully. You can see the corners of Chongyun’s lips quirk up slightly, as if he’s trying his best to hold his smile back - or that he’s genuinely so down in the dumps that he can only manage what may be the tiniest smile in Teyvat (if it could be called a smile in the first place).

“It’s no use, Xingqiu. Every day feels the same. I wake up, I get a promising lead, then I arrive at the place only to be met with disappointment because either there never was a spirit in the first place or that I already scared it away with just my pure yang energy,” Chongyun complains as he brings his knees up to his chest and buries his face in them. Xingqiu sighs, his face unreadable. That’s when you realize that you yourself are somehow unaffected by Chongyun’s yang spirit…and that maybe you can help with his little crisis.

“A haunted doll near Wangshu Inn, huh? That may be worth looking into,” you whisper and grin to yourself. With that, you make your way to the aforementioned inn by dramatically flying into the sky and vanishing - not that anyone could see. But you just feel like being a little silly. Little do you know that “little” will turn into a lot soon.

You may have wanted to listen in more on the two’s conversation. You have no idea where the doll actually is and “near Wangshu Inn” is too general of a term. You’ve wandered here enough to know there’s another ghost who they call Dusky Ming but even she can’t see you. Literally nobody can see you, neither human or ghost, and it has left you questioning your existence for a while. But now you couldn’t care less; well, except you could. It does get pretty lonely sometimes after all.

“If I was a haunted doll, where would I be?” you say to yourself as you roam around the inn aimlessly. Though you have considered the possibility that you might just phase through this so-called haunted doll instead of possessing it, you never know until you try. You’re always trying too hard - but you can't exactly not try at all. So there you are, possibly searching for an item that may not even exist in the first place; but then you see it.

In a quiet and desolate corner of the inn, in the cramped space behind the huge watermill, you see a doll slump lifelessly on the ground. You expected a more human-like doll but instead, it looks like a teddy bear more than anything. It even seems a bit similar to that bear you see running around Liyue with his chef companion - Guoba is his name, isn’t it? And the chef girl is Xiangling if you recall correctly. Suddenly, you perk up at the thought of a new idea; what if you become the Guoba to those two boys?

“That is, if I can possess this thing…” you mumble to yourself as you near the doll; you now clearly see how battered and bruised it is. But you can give it life, give it joy, if only you can possess it. You hope to the Archons that you wouldn’t just walk right through it. And so you crack your ghostly knuckles and with a loud exhale, you purposely crash into the doll with all your might. Cue the confusion; you don’t really feel much different except…

Your gaze feels much more fixed than before. And that you feel much, much shorter.

“No way…I did it?!” you exclaim as you glance at your hands- I mean, paws. You start jumping up and down, absolutely thrilled that you successfully managed to possess an inanimate item finally and that you’re not a dishonor to the paranormals. You don’t worry about being spotted much - after all, there’s a reason why the doll was left there in the first place. Then you rub your cute little paws together mischievously; oh, you cannot wait for the exciting adventures you’re about to embark on in the future.

And the first stop is none other than the two boys.

The agenda for the first day of possessing an inanimate object: stalk the two boys and give them more than just a little fright. Call it a ghost’s instinct but you can’t fight the urge to just give them your biggest “Boo!” and see their cute little faces all pale and frightened. You giggle at the thought as you sneak from building to building in Chihu Rock, frantically searching for the two boys. The harbor’s been pretty busy these days, you notice; which left you with no choice but to parkour in the shadows. But you don’t mind - it’s been a while since you’ve felt this giddy.

You let out a short exhale when you see that familiar light blue cowlick poking out around the outer-corner of a restaurant - Wanmin Restaurant, to be precise. And when you turn that corner, to nobody’s surprise, you can see that Xingqiu is by his side. You swear to the Archons these two really are inseparable; but that is no hindrance, quite the opposite actually. You get to kill two birds with one stone or rather, prank two boys with one jumpscare. You giggle to yourself as you prepare to give them the fright of their lives.

“Boo!” you cry out as you jump out from your little hiding spot and sure enough, they copy you and jump also - except they do so out of shock. But then they begin to regain their composure a little too quickly for your liking, and they don't even turn pale! Maybe you are a disgrace to the ghost race…you begin to think so, until Xingqiu interrupts your (self-deprecating) train of thought.

“Woah, look at this thing! It looks a bit like Guoba, doesn’t it? It looks pretty beaten up though…” he comments, Chongyun tilting his head curiously at you in response. You aren’t used to the attention so of course you freeze in place. Even the chef guy there is starting to take notice of your presence, his face unreadable but you suppose he’s confused. Then to your dismay, Chongyun looks away but not before he gives you a bored look.

“You and Xinyan say that about anything that vaguely resembles a bear. It’s probably some stray that got lost in town,” Chongyun merely dismisses you, probably the result of many, many letdowns. Xingqiu lets out an awkward laugh and even the chef goes back to cooking as if you never appeared. You can’t help but empathize with Chongyun - it really does feel like every effort you make is just a waste of time. But, again, it’s not like you can’t not try.

So you try the same trick on the day after. And the day after that too. And so on.

Along the way, you’ve learnt the proper way to spook humans; hide in either a very obscure spot or in a very obvious one, as if hidden in plain sight. For example, one afternoon, you managed to somehow jumpscare the two simply by standing quietly behind them while they were walking down the street. Another tip is that spook them at night or at spots with barely any light source, i.e. Wuwang Hill. On one of your luckier days, you got to scare them at night and at Wuwang Hill - and in both cases, they seemed to walk home faster than usual.

But even then, you could tell that they were smiling while they ran away from you. Albeit you are a bit spooky, you are also a friend. A familiar face they’ve come to recognize over the days. And for that, you make it a habit to say your thanks to the Archons for granting you friends, finally.

Even a haunted doll wants friends, after all.

So... I have a lot of thoughts on this one. At the beginning, I'm going to be brutally honest and say that it didn't really catch my interest? idk the premise was really good but I wasn't very into it so I kind of gave up on it. then someone recommended it to me so I tried it again.

It's genuinely so good. The latest chapters had my jaw dropping I'm not even kidding. the most recent chapter - I cannot even begin to describe how much I want the next one it's actually killing me. the characterization is flawless and HARRY - the way Harry is portrayed is PHENOMENAL. ok yeah, in the beginning I saw him as a little subservient, I was a little confused, but when I got further through the fic I was very impressed by the thought the author put into his character - from the hypocrisy he exhibits to aspects of his own selfishness, what he deems as right and wrong - it's just so so interesting.

I highly encourage people to try this out (though it does have some warnings and tags you should check out first). It really picked up for me once I got into it.

Yeah this was my first marauders fic that I've ever read and it blew me away. It also tore my heart out several times but that's besides the point. Jegulus - canon compliant so you know what's going down there, but i'm just so addicted to it it's incredible. There's just some aspects to it that I think are downright incredible. The way the characters' backstories are handled, the prank (I love the way the author chose to write it - it's so realistic in my opinion), etc etc.

I haven't read atyd or any other marauders stuff so I don't really have a lot to compare it, too - but out of all of the harry potter fics that I've read in general this has to be near the top. seriously. I wasn't even a fan of jegulus before I read this, because honestly I thought it was a little random, but now I genuinely want them to be together - they're literally meant for each other. :)) 'Course I love Jily, too, just as much, but I also love jegulus.

Eternal Return by silverpard

This one is incredibly dark but it really threw me in for a loop. It's horrifying, made me feel a little sick to be honest, but I'd honestly read it again and again. The premise is interesting and the way it ends is just... you know I kind of predicted it towards the last stretch of the fic there, but still... wow. It's a one-shot from Harry's POV. I'll just leave the summary here:

For the Greater Good. Harry understands this.

Bet you can't guess what happens. Or how - because I couldn't.

Highly recommend.

Hello!

Okay. So. I've never liked wolfsar. I like both of them individually as characters. Sirius, more so than anyone else. But I've never supported the idea that they may have dated in canon (because of the sheer amount of things that have happened surrounding them -The Prank and the war with Azkaban). So I've never really thought that oh they are so lovely together.

But. And this is a huge huge but. You are so amazing a writer that I've read my first wolfstar fic ever (From Fire to Fire). I found it through the Slytherin Sirius tag and I really wasn't going to read it. But your writing is just so compelling that I couldn't stop❤️

I also may have liked it so much because it was not canon compliant and the characters were true to themselves without all their history. But it does not take away from the fact of how brilliant you are! So thank you so much!

I may not read wolfstar from another author but I will sure look out for any of your future work!

you are not the first person who has asked me to write another pair and i would love to. and I am working on branching out of my comfort zone of *Wolfstar* (it is a slow process). i would love to write a Jily. I would also love to write a Harry/Someone Who Isn't Ginny one of these days (theres a drawing circulating of Harry/Cedric/Cho and that is very appealing to me).

for my boy sirius though, i have...trouble seeing him with anyone but remus. however, this...voice in the back of my mind keeps screaming "sirius/bill weasley" (i just think they would have a lot of fun comparing tattoos...in the dark..maybe in a bed or smushed up against a wall...ya know, as friends...as pals, as buddies do).

Synopsis: Natsuo encounters a mysterious man in the hair care products aisle at the grocery store.

Warning: The following contains mild spoilers for the Endeavor Agency Arc and the Paranormal Liberation War Arc.

Natsuo stared at his reflection in the mirror and frowned.

As a college student, hustle and bustle filled his everyday life. He attended classes, studied diligently, moved from one deadline to another, and participated in extracurricular activities. It was a lot to get used to at first, but the newfound freedom he had was nothing short of amazing. He could do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted to, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

When Natsuo had spare time, he would usually spend it going on dates with his girlfriend or visiting Rei at the hospital together with Fuyumi. As of late, however, he had little time to do either. School activities had caused his schedule to become more hectic. The upcoming final exams would signal the end of the academic year, and Natsuo had a lot of tasks to accomplish in preparation for them.

He had been so preoccupied with his responsibilities that before he knew it, the streaks at the sides of his hair had grown crimson.

Growing up, Natsuo detested the crimson strands on his head. He didn’t mind how they stood out against his predominantly white hair at first, but as his hatred for his father grew, the sentiment spread to the biological traits he inherited from him. He loathed how those crimson streaks were the same shade as his father’s. In time, Natsuo despised how their resemblance was uncanny. People had always pointed out how his face and frame looked like a younger version of Enji. It was one of his pet peeves.

Natsuo would never forget how, for a long while, he was prohibited from visiting his mother at the hospital because she couldn’t bear to see him. He reminded her too much of Enji, even though his father was as good as a stranger to him. Natsuo wasn’t like him at all, but even if that was the truth, his physical appearance alone was an undeniable indication that he was his son.

When he was in his early teens, he started bleaching and dyeing the six streaks of his hair white. He had a way to lessen his likeness to his father, and he took the opportunity to do so. Now, truth be told, Natsuo had come to the point where he was unused to seeing his crimson hair. It was an odd feeling, but he had learned to live with it.

In retrospect, he should’ve requested a touch-up last week when he went for a haircut at the barbershop, but he had been in a rush. He disliked freeloaders and didn’t want to be one, so he prioritized attending the group meeting he had instead. With a sigh, he shook his head but didn’t regret his choice. He considered dropping by the barbershop again but thought otherwise. He could do it by himself. It had been a while since he had done the bleaching process on his own, but it was simple enough. He could do it.

Natsuo slipped his navy blue coat on and went on his way to the grocery store near his dormitory. The winter chill felt soothing and nice against his skin. It eased his mind and relieved the stress he was under, and he felt glad he decided to go out today.

At the grocery store, he proceeded to the aisle of hair care products and grabbed his favorite brand of hair bleach kit. He hummed to the tune of the music playing through the speakers and looked around, wondering if the hair bleach kit would suffice since he had the other products he needed in the dormitory. Now that he thought about it, he could do some grocery shopping as well. He should get a shopping cart.

A fellow customer entered the area he was standing on. The lanky man wore a hooded jacket that covered the majority of his face. He had his hands inside his pockets as he browsed the shelves.

The man seemed to be someone around Natsuo’s age, more or less. Natsuo was taller than him but granted, he was taller and burlier than most of his peers. He wondered if he was also a college student like him and, if so, if he attended the same institution he did. Natsuo attempted to catch a glimpse of the man’s face but failed. The stranger wore sunglasses, obscuring his features even further, except for the ebony hair hanging across his forehead. Although uncertain, Natsuo considered the possibility of this stranger’s covered-up attire being connected to his Quirk.

With a gloved hand, the man picked up a box of black hair dye and read the description on the packaging.

Oh, no, Natsuo thought, Anything but that one.

“Hey, man,” Natsuo called, approaching the stranger in a friendly manner. “I wouldn’t recommend that brand. The quality isn’t very good.”

The man stiffened but, nevertheless, replied, “Is that so?”

“Yeah. I used that brand when I dyed my hair blond when I was younger, and it completely faded after a few washes.”

“Why?”

“Well, as I said, the quality is—”

“Not that,” the man interjected, not bothering to face Natsuo fully, “Why would you dye your hair blond?”

“Ah, well… to piss my old man off,” Natsuo admitted.

“Why?”

“He has this… rivalry with a certain blond man, so he hates him. I thought it would irritate him.”

Natsuo was oversharing, and he knew it. His hand came up to rub the nape of his neck as he chuckled in mild embarrassment. He had nothing to be embarrassed about when he was just answering the man’s question, right?

To his surprise, the man probed, curious about his story, “And? Did it do the trick?”

“Nah.” Natsuo shook his head. “He just glared at me for a bit and went back to pretending I don’t exist.”

The man let out a humorless chuckle. “Figures.”

Looking back, Natsuo realized how petty of a prank that was. Of course, the man would think so, too. “Yeah.”

There was a lull in the conversation. The man shifted his head to look at Natsuo.

Natsuo was unable to see the man’s face due to his sunglasses, but he could feel his eyes as they traveled from the hair bleach kit in his hand and then to his hair.

The stranger’s shoulders shook as he stifled a laugh. He turned away and placed the low-quality hair dye back on the shelf.

Natsuo scanned the items near him and pointed to a certain section. “If you’d like a really good hair dye, this is the brand I’d recommend.”

“There’s no need.” At a leisurely pace, the man turned around and made his way to the shelf across them, grabbing a medium-sized bottle.

Hair dye remover, Natsuo noted, which made no sense to him. Wasn’t he looking for hair dye?

The man inspected the item in his hand and put it inside his pocket.

Natsuo’s eyes widened at the scene in front of him. “Hey, what do you think you’re—”

Ignoring his question, the man stepped closer to Natsuo, and with amusement laced in his voice, spoke, “Make sure to watch the news, okay?”

Natsuo froze. Why did this person seem almost… familiar?

“See you around,” the man said and walked away, “Todoroki Natsuo.”

Alarm bells rang inside Natsuo’s head. This stranger called him by his full name. He had never introduced himself nor was he wearing anything that would give away his identity.

The second Natsuo was able to collect his thoughts and get over his initial panic, he ran after the man to question him, but he was nowhere to be found. The security alarms didn’t go off despite the man stealing something from the grocery store, his escape successful.

Natsuo reported the shoplifting incident to a staff member. Since the man’s physical appearance was too obscured, the authorities had very little clue to his identity. They recorded the theft but could do nothing much about it, ultimately deciding to watch out for similar incidents from now on. When they asked Natsuo if there was anything else he had to say, Natsuo contemplated it but chose not to inform the authorities of the fact that the man knew his identity and was, most likely, after him.

On his way back to the dormitory, Natsuo clutched the handle of the paper bag of hair products in his fist, wary of his surroundings. He couldn’t help it. Having been targeted and attacked by a villain in the past, he had to stay vigilant. Moreover, why did that person tell him to watch the news? The crime he committed was theft—a petty one at that—and would hardly be worth a headline.

Still, it worried Natsuo. He sent Fuyumi a message subtly informing her of his whereabouts in case something happens to him. Not wanting to cause her unnecessary panic, he decided to leave out the details of the encounter he had at the grocery store. He’d tell her later, but for now, he reminded her to take care of herself. Shoto was at U.A., at least, he would be fine there. Rei would be safe at the hospital while Endeavor could handle himself.

Natsuo boarded the train and sat down. He set his elbows on his knees and shut his eyes, the pads of the fingertips of his right hand gently touching their counterparts on his left as he leaned forward and bowed his head, lost in thought.

Who was that man?

The question plagued his mind for a long time but held no answer.

Notes: This was supposed to be a humorous fic… but here we are.

When I was writing this story, I thought a lot about that panel in Chapter 302 where Rei said she “started seeing hints of [Enji] in the children’s faces,” and while Shoto’s left side was shown, Natsuo’s entire face was beside him.

I read new manga chapters as they get translated so feel free to incorporate anything from the manga that’s available in english. I’m not spoiled for anything beyond that, so please no spoilers for future developments.

Kiriwo Amy/Suzuki Iruma

There are many good ships with Iruma, but this one just has a lot things I like.  I love enemy ships with both sides being way too emotionally invested into each other so this was inevitable. I love how this relationship starts as this really wholesome friendship and school festival preparation, except Kiriwo turns out to be a bit messed up and wants to blow up everyone. But then they both accept the outcome and go on with their lives still thinking about each other. Iruma goes through a lot of trouble to keep the club operating even though Kiriwo has been pretty much expelled. And then Kiriwo is now obsessed with Iruma as his anthitesis and perfect enemy.

I’m okay with the potential story happening at any point in the canon. I would love both a story set before the festival while Kiriwo is still hiding his true colors or a story set after festival. Maybe Iruma runs into Kiriwo somewhere after he escapes prison and instead of calling an adult, he tries to stop Kiriwo from causing trouble on his own. As for pre-festival story. Maybe some upperclassmen steal important parts from the club and Iruma and Kiriwo set out to get them back.

Naberius Kalego & Suzuki Iruma

I love Kalego for being a much better take on Snape than original Snape ever was. The second the series made Kalego Iruma’s familiar I knew this was about to get good. And it was. I love how Kalego slowly warms up to Iruma, even if he is still allergic to his and Sullivan’s antics. I love that Kalego is actually a competent teacher who cares about his students, even if he would rather eat a whole lemon than admit it out loud.

For prompts, maybe Sullivan ends up having an important business and Opera isn’t available so he dumps looking after Iruma on Kalego for a few days. Or Iruma is struggling with studying since so much is new for him so Kalego ends up forced to help him catch up with the material (if you are following manga inclusion of Balam is always welcome). Or maybe Iruma gets into usual trouble ends up stranded somewhere and the only one he can call for help is his familiar.

AUs and ships

I love the worldbuilding around the demon world, so I would ask that if you decided to write an AU that it still incorporates demons. I would definitely love an AU where rather than getting summoned to demon world, Iruma accidentally summons either Kiriwo or Kalego into the human world. Maybe Iruma’s parents try to use him as an offering, but instead he ends up bound to a demon. I would love to see Kiriwo excited to unleash suffering (even if his weak powers severely limit him in that regard) onto human world just to discover that he made contract with the biggest pacifist possible. Or Kalego being torn between wanting to return home as soon as possible (he has classes to teach!) and wanting to somehow help the weird human child that just keeps getting into trouble. Any other demon-focused AU is also welcome. I’m also fine with any sort of AU divergences scenario. Maybe Iruma keeps accidentally sabbotaging Kiriwo’s terrorist plans without realizing it. Or Iruma ends up summoning Kalego more often as his familiar when he gets into trouble.

As for ships, I’d rather avoid any love triangle scenarios for this canon, so please focus on just one pairing per character (competing for Iruma’s attention is normal for this canon, I’d just rather not see outright romantic competition). It’s self-explainatory for Kiriwo request, but if you want to include some shipping elements into the Kalego request I also ship Iruma/Ameri, Iruma/Alice and Kalego/Balam.

RE:ZERO

I watched the first season of anime, as well as the two OVA, and I’m now following the second one. Please don’t include any spoilers for events that haven’t been yet adapted. I’m fine with mentions of stuff from Light Novel that adaptation has skipped, just please make sure to establish them properly.

I would love a story where the two of them decide to work together to throw a surprise party for Emilia or to make a present for her. Or maybe they need to work together to protect Emilia against a threat. Or for something lighter, their shared adventures of pranking everyone they can in Roswaal’s manor. Feel free to include as much Emilia as you need for this relationship, since Puck is contracted with her.

Natsuki Subaru & Felix Argyle & Julius Euclius & Reinhard van Astrea

I immediately loved the queen candidates’ knights and the relationships between them. I would greatly enjoy seeing them work together. Maybe someone is plotting to harm queen candidates and they join forces to bring them down. Or maybe the queen candidates are busy with some bureaucracy and the bored knights decide to spend a night at town, which ends with all sorts of shenanigans. Maybe Subaru and Julius decide to have some sort of competiton that hilariously goes out of control. Or Reinhardt and Subaru rope everyone into helping some poor grandma, but her straightforward request ends up becoming much more difficult to execute than anyone predicted. Alternatively, Felix, Julius, and Reinhardt decide that Subaru has been pushing himself way too much recently and with silent blessing from Emilia they drag him into the local hot springs to make him finally rest a bit and make sure that give Felix plenty of time for some additional magical treatment.

Feel free to also include Aldebaran into the group if you want. He had very little screen time in anime, so I didn’t want to make this request more difficult than it already is, but if you want to write him too I would be very happy with his inclusion.

Natsuki Subaru & Beatrice

Beatrice is a fascinating character. She’s clearly very powerful, but ends up hiding herself in the library due to her strongly hinted tragic past. Watching Subaru try to make her open up more to him and other people is very interesting. I would love to see more of his attempts to befriend Beatrice. Maybe he suggests they do a book club and makes Beatrice choose books they should read. Or alternatively Subaru ends up trapped inside a magical book and Beatrice is the only one who can help navigate him so he can escape from it. Or alternatively a witch cultist invided the Roswaal mansion and Subaru and Beatrice need to work together to find and neutralize the threat.

AUs and ships

I would prefer no setting changes for this story, any other AUs are fine. I especially love Subaru’s reset mechanic, so feel free to abuse that if you want. If you want some AU ideas, maybe another character starts remembering bits and pieces of the reseted timelines. Or maybe Otto turns out to be a witch cultist in disguise and uses the trust he earned to cause problems.

I’m okay with acknowledging Subaru’s canon crush on Emilia, though I’d rather it wasn’t framed as an endgame ship. I’m okay with pairing Subaru with pretty much any guy in the series (especially other queen candidate knights) or leaving who he will end up with ambiguous.

MY NEXT LIFE AS A VILLAINESS (ANIME)

I watched anime and read manga for this story, so please don’t spoil me for the parts not yet adapted from Light Novel.

Group: Katarina Claes/Gerald Stuart (My Next Life as a Villainess)

I ran into this manga on accident, but I definitely don’t regret it. I love how Katarina ends up solving all the problems in this series either through her efforts or by sheer accident and how she ends up becoming the actual protagonist. This charmingly comedic story has a lot of heart and I crave more.

I think I like Gerard the most out of all potential suitors for Katarina’s heart and would love to see more of his crush on Katarina and unsuccessful attempts at actually wooing her. We only see him through Katarina’s perspective, who can’t separate him from the Gerard she knows from the game, even though he changed under her influence. I would definitely be up for a story where Katarina starts to notice that maybe her idea of Gerard doesn’t exactly line up with the reality. Or maybe she remains blissfully ignorant and decides to go in-depth investigation into finding more of Gerard’s weaknesses, because she saw him do something nice for Maria and now she is sure the end is near for her and she wants to be extra prepared. Or maybe he takes her on a vacation trip to escape from her other suitors, but everything goes terribly wrong (maybe their carriage crashes forcing them to spend the night in the woods), and yet both of them end up having a lot of fun.

I don’t mind including any other characters, since they are a colorful bunch. I read this manga for harem shenanigans, and you are free to include as much of that as you want.

AUs and ships

I’m okay with AUs and canon divergences. The story is already a huge canon divergence after all, so if you want to twist it even more, that’s fine by me. If you want to play around with characters accidentally getting transported to the alternate world where Katarina is the original Katarina or getting a glimps of it, I would be very much for it. I love the idea of Gerard meeting the original Katarina and having all sorts of complicated feelings about her, but ultimately acting kind towards her, because he believes that this is what Katarina he knows would have wanted. And just imagine the utter chaos that would result in two Katarinas running around.

I’m okay with all canonical crushes being acknowledged, however due the nature of my request I want the endgame ship to be Katarina/Gerard. I don’t mind other characters being shipped with each other.

TOWER OF GOD

I’m caught up with the newest chapters of the webtoon.

Khun Aguero Agnis/Twenty-Fifth Baam | Jyu Viole Grace (Tower of God)

I got into this series through anime but then I binged the rest of this webtoon and wow it was a blast. I love the complicated world of the tower, the colorful cast, and the complicated relationships between characters. And I love Aguero for being a total asshole and schemer, who becomes a better person due to Bam’s influence.

I’m fine with the fic being set at any point in the story, whether it be beginning of their relationship right after they both started to climb the tower or anything else down the line. I love the slow change that Aguero goes through starting as the very selfish person who burned most of the bridges behind him into a slightly more caring but still willing to burn all the bridges if it’s for Bam person. Also, Bam’s arc of slowly finding himself through interacting with others is great. For some ideas, maybe they have to go undercover to achieve some goal and end up pretending to be boyfriends to throw off suspicions (bonus points for Khun making their supposed relationship’s backstory more ridiculous each time someone asks about it). Or something goes wrong while they are escaping resulting in Bam and Khun getting chained together with shinsu-resistant handcuffs, which begins their epic journey to find and defeat the person who has key to it. Meanwhile Khun is slowly losing it, because he isn’t prepared to handle someone’s constant presence 24h a day, especially if it’s Bam. Or any other towe climbing shenanigans. Maybe Khun wagers something he really shouldn’t have (like his memories) and the team has to get them back, because Khun regresses into his pre-Bam meeting self and is even more of an asshole than usual.

Please use the names Bam and Jue Viole Grace respectively in the fic, because that was the official translation when I picked up the comics (I’m assuming it was different in the past from the AO3 tag).

AUs and ships

I would prefer no setting changes for this story, Tower is a honestly fascinating place and I want to enjoy more of it, but all other AUs are okay. For some suggestions, maybe Bam doesn’t manage to escape from FUG. Khun finds him and decides that the only way to help is to make sure that Elders acknowledge Bam as a Slayer, so he starts to climb ranks of FUG. 

I’m okay with mentions of Bam’s crush on Rachel, but mostly in the context of his past feelings for her. Just please focus on Bam/Aguero. For some other ships, I’m okay with Anaak/Ran and Anaak/Endorsi. As for other characters, you are free to ship them if you want, just don’t ship Hwaryun with anyone.
