Everything hurt too much, and his mind was too erratic to formulate a full explanation on what was wrong with him. It was a mess of jumbled thoughts and pain signals firing through his brain, like blinking pixels on a white screen. His only sensical thought was a short phrase on repeat, constant, all-encompassing. It hurts. It hurts. It hurts.

Whump Prompt - Wrongly Accused

"You're dead."

"No- no, wait, please I can explain! Don't-!"

The fist smacked squarely into Whumpee's eye and sent him reeling into the cement wall with a sick, cracking thud. He slid down the wall, dazed, and something warm trickled down the side of his face. It took him a moment to realize that Caretaker had hit him with no hesitation. They were supposed to be friends. Caretaker was supposed to trust him, he was supposed to have seen through the lies.

Whumpee raised a fearful gaze to his face, his voice strangled when he begged: "Caretaker, please. It's not me, I swear it's not-"

"Shut up!" roared Caretaker, and Whumpee was horrified to see his eyes shining with grief. "I can't believe you anymore. I can't trust you!"

I forgot to talk about this latest fic endeavor of mine. Since I got into kdrama, I've watched five series, and my favorite is still The Good Detective.

But woe is me (and other fans), for there are only two fics for The Good Detective on AO3-- neither of which are whump or angst.

So obviously I had to write one. It's called The Aftereffect and it's the aftermath of a stabbing, with a sprinkling of trauma, a downwards spiral of addiction (to sleeping pills specifically), and some other bad life decisions. Also both leads are bad at handling big emotions so that's fun.

Markus smiled at the three of them. "Thanks. I have to admit, I definitely feel more confident about this knowing that you guys are coming with me."

"For the record, I still think you're an idiot to do this," said North.

He nodded. "I know. But I'm your idiot, right?"

North scoffed and rolled her eyes, but a faint smile appeared on her lips nonetheless. "Right."

Hey so I know I've been posting about watching Ninjago and haven't had many reactions BUT if it turns out that maybe someone here is in fact aware of this show, hey look, I wrote a lil fic between midnight and 2 in the morning (as you do 👌) 

Summary: Nya remembers hurting Jay while she was under the spell of Dark Matter. She wishes she could take it back, but she can't, so she settles on making sure that he's okay now that everything is over.

I wrote some existential angst for Hank, Connor, Nines, and Sumo! This is my participation in the Hank Exchange and my prompt was family-oriented.

Summary :

Connor and Nines have grown closer to Hank, and while they all have their separate lives to lead, they're close enough that he allows the both of them to come and go as they please in his house. It's not just him and Sumo anymore, and the thought is comforting. However, Sumo's old age one day manifests itself in a most worrying shape, which is when it comes to Hank's attention that the two androids have never considered the eventuality of losing a loved one.

(Sumo is fine at the end of the story, don't worry!)

“It’s okay,” said Josh. Nines looked up and saw that the surprise had faded from his dark eyes. He sounded just as calm and normal as usual. “Don’t worry about it, everyone says weird stuff when they’re drunk.”

But I’m not that drunk, Nines wanted to say, and he held it back just in time. Maybe it was better that way. Maybe it was better if Josh thought it was just some embarrassing nonsense that had escaped Nines’ mouth because his brain wasn’t working correctly. He smiled awkwardly.

“Sorry.”
