I swear someone on here posted about Ed getting impaled and the fact Arakawa wrote that scene because she just had a baby and they drew Ed with the chimeras holding a baby pole like “congrats it’s a pole” and I have a friend watching the show for the first time and I NEED to send the post to him but I CAN’T find it

Okay so imagine you're like ten and your mom is dead and you and your brother perform the most heretical experiment known to man and almost kill yourself (and your brother) completely, only to find yourself disabled permanently by it but not NEARLY as much as your brother is, so you and your brother tour the country trying to figure out how to restore the health you lost. God is punishing you personally. But is that a god? What is a god? When there is war, who watches over the soldiers' crimes? Who watches over the innocent? Who hears the wails of the dying? Who watches over the healers? Who lives? Who dies? Who is profiteering from the spoils of war? Who, exactly, is in your family? Can you tell the face of a friend from the face of your enemy? Is caring about your fellow man enough to save the world? What if it isn't? Who lives? who dies? WHY? Does a theoretical god decide? Does NO ONE decide? Are we all marching to our fates, or are our paths pre-determined?? What is above man?! What is above man's governing body?! WHAT IS ABOVE A GOD?
