it just dawned on me that annabeth probably has repressed memories. think about it. the only thing she really remembers about her childhood is being and feeling neglected and insignificant at home. then running away at seven. and she has vague memories with luke and thalia. but once she watched thalia die. the next couple years are a blur. maybe the most consistent and prominent thing her brain lets her remember are her moments with luke bc those were the good ones. and that's why she's so adamant on justifying his mistakes throughout the first series. bc he is the only proof she has of something of an identity. who is she without him?

I haven’t even read the epilogue yet, but apparently the last few chapters of Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 4 Volume 3 was written solely to make me ugly cry for an hour. (Spoilers ahead)

That goodbye was brutal. I cannot. I am so upset about this. I was upset waaaay back in the beginning for being denied my rightful Gunther and Myne father and daughter ADORABLENESS! When she unthinkingly reached out to him after the Hasse execution and he gave her his coat? I was a puddle of tears y’all 😭 😭

And now? This last tie being severed and those two years being lost is just too cruel. I’m sure later I’ll squeal over how cute it was for Ferdinand to praise her like that (b/c omg it was SO cute!), but right now all I can think about is how tragic and sad it must have been for him. How unexpectedly happy he must have been to receive such praise, that would only come once a year. How utterly alone he must have felt sometimes…

He was. When he got back, he was filled in on the entire situation, everything from Longtail's accidental blinding, the descision to continue the boar hunt, BloodClan's change of power, and Willowpelt's betrayal which caused Elderberry's unintended death.

He decided to uphold Graystripe's ruling and make the deputy change official, as they decided on Longtail's semi-retirement so he could have the space he needed to figure himself out. Willowpelt would remain exiled until further notice.

Willy re-joined the Clan sometime just before the destruction of TNP, after Rainwhisker and Sootfur became warriors. It was decided it was already a hard punishment to have missed such a large portion of her kittens' childhoods, after losing Whitestorm. She can't atone in exile.

After Cricketclaw's death while the destruction of the forest was underway, she started acting as Head of Hunting again. It was a really difficult time and a lot of cats were injured, starving, or dying. Her experience was neccesary.

Bisan's video yesterday broke my heart entirely. Over the last two months this girl has become friend and family and the one of Gaza's brightest stars for people all over the world who follow her social media. She's the kind of person most of us only see as protagonists in books and shows; her force of will, determination, her insistence in finding the smallest hope (usually children and cats) and happiness among the ruins and terror have made millions fall in love with her. People like her and Hind Khaudary and Motaz makes you feel like things can still be okay as long as they're alive and fighting.

Yesterday, the bombs and massacres resumed. And reminded us once more than this is not a hero or a protagonist or beacon but a cold, scared, heart-broken girl who wants her life back desperately, even though everything she knows and loves is destroyed. I have never seen her so broken.

Please don't stop talking about Palestine. Don't give up on them, on her, on Motaz and Hind and Saleh. They're real people like you and me, going through an unimaginable horror, and we are the only hope and witness they have. We are all just drops in a vast ocean doing our best to change the current, but every drop is vital, and our only job is not to evaporate. If our friends in Gaza must survive, we can give them a reason to do so.

back on my timber/berkon agenda and lately ive been picturing this scenario where tim wants to introduce bernard to his friends but isn't that ready to come out to bart, cassie and kon yet so he's like "hey everyone this is my close friend bernard he's tagging along today hope nobody minds" and yeah nobody does!!

bart finds bernard's conspiracy theories incredibly amusing and eggs him on, cassie is highkey surprised at how much info bernard has gathered and lowkey wary because bernard's like... Really Good at gathering clues and shit from blurry footage and drawing conclusions, too bad his mind always wanders off in the wrong direction bcs like he's This Close to figuring out a lot of shit. and kon!! kon!! he just genuinely has a crush at first sight. bernard's smart and easygoing and has good banter and honestly pretty attractive so kon's like... trialing after bernard like a lost puppy. they stop to grab a bite and kon (not so) subtly asks if bernard's involved with anyone and bernard is like "uhhh well there's this guy i like!!" because he's not gonna out tim like wtf but also... he's in a relationship and it's hard to toe the line between being like "yes i love my bf sosososomuch" and not giving too much away. anyway kon kinda bites the inside of his cheek and goes "well how serious is this guy, do you know? because if he's not gonna ask u out then he's holding the line" and tim (who has spent the whole day following after his best friend and his boyfriend stewing in jealousy but unable to say shit about it) is like "OKAY BERNARD'S MY BOYFRIEND HE'S TAKEN BACK OFF CONNER" and he drags bernard out of the restaurant

anyways superboy challenges red robin to a duel for bernard's hand in marriage like a day after and bernard spends the next two weeks holed up in his room trying to figure out why the fuck two vigilantes that up until this point appeared to be best friends are now in an open feud with one another.
