The most Character of all time

Rouxls Kaard is hands down the funniest Deltarune character. Every time he shows up he’s always up to the new dumbest fucking thing you’ve ever heard of and is somehow consistently inventing new ways to lose at literally everything. Incredible.

ao3 but make it tumblr - site skin

I've had several people over the years tell me I should make a site skin that makes AO3 look like tumblr. Well, I learned the float property and now here you go!

You can get these two colourways over here on github. No promises, but I might update with additional colourways in the coming days. As always, I've included instructions for how to apply a site skin if you've never used one on your account before.

I've seen some folks use the title "work is published Wednesday" and I like it, so I'm going to drop it at the end here.

Not sure if I told you this but I really like how Emily wears blue. It helps her stand out in the background. Idk I feel like all the other Hazbin characters blend into the background because they all wear the same shade of red (Angel Dust is an Exception because he wears Pink but even then he still blends into the background)

To make it easier to distinguish her from the background.

I...do kinda agree with you when it comes to Hazbin's color pallet. It's my biggest criticism of the show's design. There's so much red everywhere that it's hard to make the characters contrast, and sometimes that does make a scene/character hard to read.

To its' credit, the show does have tricks up it's sleeve to counter this. For example: Alastor's room is a nice teal—dark green color, Vox's area is a deeper blue, Valentino's is dark pink/purple, and Rosie's area is a lighter pink/gray color. And those characters work nicely in their environment!

Our main characters, though, have to travel through these different color pallets. And sometimes it works fine and they stand out well! But I think the places with the least contrast are the streets of hell and the hotel itself.

They do try with the Hotel, mind you. They add lots of gold accents, desaturate the red, and change the hue. Personally though, I don't think it's enough because there are still scenes where the contrast becomes a problem. Since I'm drawing a lot of Hazbin Hotel stuff, it's an issue I've run into myself. (Though it doesn't ruin the show for me lol)

These sort of issues are also why I try to stay away from a lot of 'redesigns'. More often than not, I see people redesign the characters within a void. They don't take into account the world/backgrounds, nor software, nor ease of animation. Those things, btw, you do have to consider if you're pitching your design as one that 'fixes' the issues of the original.

So I was thinking a little bit about how Sera’s only heard the Voice of God twice in her whole existance. This leaves me wondering, when was the last time God interacted with Heaven, Hell, or Earth and, at the risk of delving into spoilers, would He step in if the situation between Heaven and Hell deteriorates even further?

The last time God interacted with anyone was Emily's creation. Though my intent was to imply that it spoke to her (though very rarely) during the creation of Heaven and Earth, not just twice.

But... I did only show the two times it happened, so that's a fair assumption!

As for if God would step in, It is hoping It does not need to, I think. I'll share my idea below because it's long and also not really relevant to the story as a whole. It's just food for thought and fanon lore.

God has not spoken to It's creations for a reason. Not out of fear, not out of disappointment, but out of necessity. It could easily command respect, shape the rules and have a kingdom of It's own. Shape the world and have them worship at It's feet.

But that is not what It desires.

What could It possibly learn from a perfect world? A world with no sickness nor light nor strife would be stagnate. There would not be the high peaks of joy and wonder, nor the bottomless pits of despair. What would be the point of a world like that?

And so God created Lucifer.

I do not think It truly knew what would happen with Lucifer. His fall not only shook Heaven, but God Itself. It learned something from that, saw something in the future of a thousand futures, and made it's decision not to interfere.

Before It did, though, It made one more angel. Someone to hold hope in a world that was needing of it. A kindness to the world God would leave behind.

And so God created Emily
