Do we think Macaque's forgotten how to cry? In most of the scenes we've seen Macaque in pain or losing in a way. It almost looks like he want's to cry.

Like, I know in these scenes he probably didn't because LBD was there but he was litterly hyperventilating.

But in this scene, he genuinely looks so frustrated and possibly on the verge of tears and he knows what's coming for him because he failed again. But also in Season 5. When Mk and Wukong went and tried to sacrifice themselves. He obviously wouldn't cry because he was trying to convince Mk not to go. But he looks so actually worried and scared for him.

Everyone was crying after that (Except NeZha and Li Jing of course) once Mk was brought back. We know Mk and Macaque aren't as close as Wukong and Mk are but the point still stands on how worried he was for both of them and the fact that Mk was the first person to possibly put faith/believe in Macaque in years. Every time he should/or at least somewhat have hints of tears in his eyes. He doesn't. He's shoved down tears so much sense his death. He's forgotten how to cry. Or he's holding his emotions in so much he's forgotten to. Either way. He holds his emotions in to much. WILDBRAIN STUDIOS. MAKE MACAQUE CRY AND ECLIPSE DUO/SUNDIAL DUO/SHADOWPEACH HUG IN S6 AND MY LIFE AND SOUL CONTRACT ARE YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bonus: He looks so genuinely scared/terrified.

i love that dasein was kind of meant to be the closest thing we get to seeing the wizard in "canon" bc its like. imagine being the wizard and teaching the ''nothing'' how to ''be'' and having to watch in horror as everyone and everything around him tries to twist him into something he doesnt want to be and taking advantage of his kindness and genuine urge to help and having to be like. holy shit. this is what its like to be on the outside of all that

dasein just wants to BE in the similar way that the wizard wants to be i think. and both of them are "outsiders"—they dont well and truly belong in the spiral, and give themselves away to the detriment of their own health and sanity. so when dasein understandably gets stressed out and starts malfunctioning, thats also a reflection of the wizard

It's Almost Here! North American Solar Eclipse, 2024

As I mentioned in that other post, it will be visible as at least a partial eclipse to most of North America, with the path of totality cutting a diagonal from Sinaloa, Mexico to Newfoundland, Canada, including 15 US states from Texas to Maine.

Don't be fooled by how we just had one back in October, and another one a few years ago in 2017: total solar eclipses are rare! They only happen when the Sun, Moon, and Earth line up just perfectly--and only for a small portion of the Earth's surface each time.

It's a wild coincidence that North America/the US has gotten three in such a short span of time; the last one before the recent trio was in 1979, and the next one won't be until 2044. (We do have a big partial coming to us in 2033!) The Northeastern US won't see another until the 2070's.

(Note: If you are not in North America, you can use these maps to see when your continent will have its turn!)

This eclipse is also really special in that its path of totality sweeps across a lot of heavily-populated areas. About 31 million people live within the path of totality, and millions more are expected to visit.

So, it's a pretty big deal, and now's the time to get ready!

If you live in the path of totality:

Lucky you! Look up your location on these maps to get the exact time and duration of totality.

Be ready for extra traffic & crowds--especially if you live somewhere with stuff for tourists, or a place that people outside the immediate area will have heard of.

Totality times are in the afternoon, ranging from about 1:30 in Texas to 3:30 in Maine (local times), so if you'll be at school, or at work in a setting where you can't choose your own break times, now's a good time to talk to whomever you need to. It's not unreasonable to ask to step out into the parking lot for the three minutes that people will be coming from far and wide to see--but depending on your setting, it may take some arranging ahead of time. (If you're in school, hopefully your science teachers have already thought of this, but if not, ask them. And if your science teachers are jerks, try other teachers.

If you live near the path of totality:

Try to go! As the American author Annie Dillard says, "Seeing a partial eclipse bears the same relation to seeing a total eclipse as kissing a man does to marrying him, or as flying in an airplane does to falling out of an airplane."

Here's a map of approximate driving distances to the path of totality, in the US (from this page).

If you're close enough to think about going, here are some Google maps with eclipse overlays for more detailed planning. (I like the Xavier Jubier one.)

Once you're inside the path of totality, anywhere you can see the sun is a valid viewing location, but if you're making a day of it and you want to find a special spot, check local visitor's bureaus or tourism offices for the area you'll be in. They'll probably have a list of parks and other places. For instance, here's what Erie, Pennsylvania has.

Seriously, If you are able to drive/have a car, live within day-trip distance of the path of totality, and can be away from work/school without losing your job/being arrested for truancy, you should go. This is a once-in-a-lifetime type of thing, and there's still loads of time to plan a day-trip.

(Note: If you aren't in day-trip distance, but now you want to go, you don't have a lot of options: hotels and flights have been full for ages. However, if you're in two-days-driving distance, you might be able to find a Sunday-night base camp, from which you can get up on Monday morning and drive several more hours to the path of totality. For instance, in Pennsylvania, there are still reasonably-priced hotel rooms to be had in State College, which is--in normal traffic--three and a half hours from Erie. (You might even be able to get a little closer than that; I just checked State College because they have a lot of hotels for the Penn State football crowds.} So if you're coming from, say, Maryland or Virginia, that could work, and there may be similar creative options for other regions. Again, if this is something that's feasible for you to do, without bankrupting yourself, getting fired, or other long-term consequences, I would strongly consider doing it!

If you live in North America, but have no way to get to the totality:

A partial eclipse is still pretty cool! And again, it'll be a while before you have another chance to see one, so it's worth it to make the time.

All of the 48 contiguous US states will be able to see some amount of eclipse. So will Hawaii, Mexico, Central America, and most of Canada and the Caribbean islands, plus a little bit of South America. (Alaska and part of the Yukon are SOL, but you will have your turn in 2033!)

Use these maps to look up the time and extent of the eclipse in your location.

As of this writing, you can still get eclipse glasses here, among other places. If you run out of time to get them, check for eclipse-viewing events at local parks, libraries, etc.--they may also have some to give away ahead of time, but even if not, if you go to an event, there will almost certainly be some to share.

The plus of a partial eclipse is that you have a fairly relaxed viewing window--as much as a couple of hours, depending how far you are from the middle of the eclipse zone--rather than a standout moment that you want to make sure you're in position for.

That makes it pretty easy to get a chance to see it even if you're at work--everybody can take turns stepping outside for a look. You can share eclipse glasses, too.

And hands & feet(tho obvi not finished yet, i need to do a second pass on the hands to bulk them up slightly, Sun's hand is there for scale).

I'm finally on the clay stage despite my schedule consistently fighting me. Woo.

I also have aluminum foil this time around to help sculpt the bases of pieces so the pieces stay lightweight and avoid it being solid clay. Yaaaay.

Surprise Watchful Nightmare update! Bet you weren't expecting that!

Ok i give up, here is the au i thought about in the post about my D&D character

So basically, its a ✨️Gods and Mortals✨️ kind of au (it also has nothing to do with my actual dnd character lmao)

At first i had a very different idea for this au tbh, but now i have a clearer view on where and how i want this to work

Eclipse is a preschool teacher and a daycare robot, his job is to care for the roudies children and take some weight off of the teacher's shoulders

One day, everything was normal, he gets his ass isekai'd into another world. Why? Because i say so

Jk he probably died somehow like in all isekai stories

To save him are the god of the stars, and the god of planets, those being Sun and Moon, who take a liking on this funny looking mortal and send him on an adventure with them as patrons

Sun and moon are two weirdos and being gods they do not really. Percieve. Eclipse as its own thinking being

This is not a plot point, actually, it's just to specify that Sun sees Eclipse as how you'd see a cute pet, while Moon as how you'd see a toddler of someone you barely know

They also have wildly different approaches when they talk with Eclipse, Sun does babyvoices at him, while Moon is the incarnation of the babysitter who tapes the baby to the wall and asks them if they want a beer

Sun is Eclipse's patron during the day and companion during the night, Moon is the other way around

Eclipse slowly loses his patience and gets progressively sassier and less keen to take shit from anyone he sees

Picture Gertrude from 'I Hate Fairyland', Eclipse is stuck in that world since months and has ho idea how to go back to his own, his "patrons" are not helping and anyone he meets is either a normal person or the worst weirdo he has ever run into

So he goes slowly from "ok now lets calm down and talk this out ok? We don't want anyone getting hurt ^^" to "i cast fuck you and your family!"

This is a sandbox au, so there is no real story, just some beasts to put in situations

If you want to know what they look like, Eclipse is the same eclipse from my 'sun and moonless' au/fic

Sun and Moon on the other hand appear as these titanic and imposing beings when they are in their real form, and as regular sun and moon when they take the 'shape of eclipse' (as they call it)

Sun wears a white tunic and a red scarf both as a god and as a "mortal", in his god form the tunic fades into clouds! his head is a half sphere and from behind rays and light come out, it looks like he is wearing a floating crown but you can't really tell because he is too bright. Also je probably has like, a few tens of eyes, but uses only between 2 and 5 at the same time usually

Moon on the other hand does not even have a real head as a god! His head is a clpud of space dust and darkness with a thousand stars inside, you can also see the moon where his head would be, and it always shows the same side no matter where you look at him from (it also shows the current lunar phase); he has eyes tho!

Moon wears a dark cape, and the cloud from his head forms a train behind him that looks like a night sky (similar to a nun's headwear in appearence)

When i draw anything good for this au i will post it because i keep imagining it with walt disney old comic books artstyle but I CAN'T REPLICATE IT

Hi hello I know this is my second ask today but I've been doodling during lectures and I'm infected with brain rot so-

question about your sunvent, does he view himself above or below the others in the kingdom? does he view himself as a suffering for his savior high priest who has been blessed with the right to care for a god? or an unworthy servant who was just (un)lucky to work in a castle?

also, how would eclipse feel if he found out sunvent was treated better or worse by the kingdoms inhabitants? Would he laugh if they belittle him, would be praised by them treating him like a high figure? have there been executions for treason because someone tried to spread rumors about the castles faithful librarian?

I don't have inbox rent yet but I'm drawing it while in chemistry.

1) He views himself as equal to the others!! He knows that he is typically regarded as a higher being, like he's some sort of link between themselves and Lord Eclipse, but he can't bring himself to share to sentiment much.

1.5) Kiiinda both??? and more??? His feelings of his position can change wildly at any moment because of his own feelings + what Lord Eclipse tells him his feelings should be (which can also change depending on how he's trying to make Sun feel), so it's a messy tangle of "I'm the perfect servant, I'm the only one who can care for our lord, I have been chosen and I have to make sure I don't make Him regret it" and "I'm just a mortal. I'm just another face in the crowd. I don't know what I'm really doing here, but fuck, I'll do it I guess."

2) OOOO THIS IS A VERY FUN QUESTION EHEHSJAHSHA!!!!

I think if Sun was treated better? Lord Eclipse would not be thrilled about that. He'd get jealous and view it as heresy, going out of hiding way to plant ideas in his followers mind's that Sun isn't as sweet and perfect as he seems. Sun is not the lord of this realm, he does not need to be the favored of the two.

If Sun was treated worse? I think he'd find it funny until it started to affect Sun's ability to serve. Like, small jabs and taunts or even like people tripping or bumping into him? I think Lord Eclipse would be like teehee. thats what u get. idiot. and then once Sun's bad mental health starts to distract him from tasks or someone actually injures him, I think he'd take matters into his own hands.

I don't think anyone has been executed...... but I kinda want there to be now HEJAHAJD

I just remembered that in one of the levels in STH2005, Black Doom has no idea what lightning is. He thinks it's an attack from an enemy ship. Meaning the Black Arms have no idea what lightning is. Which leads to the most important thing about this fact.

Eclipse has no idea what lightning is.

I imagine he just jumps like a cat and chaos energy shoots out at random when he gets scared
