too many of you guys think nico is the loser and not lewis for letting the divorce go on for so long. like they're both losers about each other. emotionally constipated idiots who can't talk about their toxic homoerotic friendship that imploded on itself like 8 years ago and are now making it everyone else's problem. yeah nico's on television or in beer gardens talking about lewis all the time but like every other month some reporter is like "lewis, what's your favorite moment in your career?" and lewis no hesitation is like "oh man, karting, y'know? everything was simpler then" and then spends another six months skirting around nico's name. like this whole thing they're doing in the media isn't some kinda extended foreplay for them. they're both still pressing on the bruise to make sure it's still there!!! every few months, they're literally just asking on public television, does it still hurt for you like it does for me? and like clockwork, someone will release new information about them or one of them will say something about each other (in my heart, he's still my best friend/yes... and teammate) and the answer will remain the same, yes, of course, always.

I read posts that have to do with Percy Jackson and its crazy how many times I stumble upon posts where people take things characters do in the wrong way even though some actions can be justified. Especially Percy and Annabeth.

Misinterpretation in the percy jackson fandom is so common. Especially when it’s used to villainize Annabeth and sometimes even Percy. I actually think they know what they’re saying doesn’t make sense but since it gives them a reason to hate a character they just keep ignoring the very necessary context. Like, of course Percy choked Nico, he was betrayed and he woke up startled. And of course Annabeth hated Rachel, her best friend who was supposedly about to die spent his last summer with her instead of spending it with Annabeth. Does this make the actions right? Maybe not but the context more than explains and even justifies the behavior.

"Nico yapping about Lewis, likely place for him to be" yeah okay but. He was clearly at a work event and they put up a slideshow and pictures and then Stopped on the 2016 Spain crash.

And the slideshow didn't move on to the next picture. What was he supposed to do lol just pretend he does not see? I mean I'm glad Nico is good-natured about it all.

I love this! I actually have a similar headcanon of Will liking having Nico in the infirmary with him, partially because Nico can sense death so they can have two people monitoring people's statuses with their powers (even if Nico thinks he's more hindering than helping). And also because Nico can stave off death a bit if he's prepared for it (most often by literally just glaring into the middle-distance at a Thanatos only he can see until one of them backs down).

a theory I do subscribe to is that max was #influenced by AirRosberg -- all of 2016 when nico uber air'd with the half the grid and yes max is in every one of those pictures -- to get his own jet and give lando and others a lift occasionally. AirMax pay your homage to the OG

that feral baby may have given nico the headache of a lifetime on track but he got the free rides to races (and all the first class champagne no doubt)

Koma is the meme of the guy vacuuming the driveway. Any excuse to get nearer to the action.

As soon as he works out it's not ghoul related, Amon closes the window. He doesn't wanna hear this shit.

Itori doesn't know who Louise is, but wants to. She sounds like a party. Recognises the subtle slur of inebriated angry women.

Hide is a little averse to arguments, as is Ken. The former doesn't enjoy hearing others' misery, and the latter finds it a bit triggering.

Neighbourly arguments are a goldmine for Eto. If it isn't gossip, it's inspiration for her novels.

Nishiki acts like he's above it, but when he hears that Mr Neighbour has been shagging everything on the street he's listening.

When it sounds like the neighbours aren't tiring themselves out, Yomo will knock doors. Mostly to get them to stfu, but also to make sure everything's ok (especially if the neighbour has kids in the house).

Tsukiyama has missed out on the experience of noisy neighbour fights ☹️

Roma, Suzuya, Uta and Nico are out on the street feet away from the quarrelling couple encouraging them. They choose sides too.

Touka is a slams-the-window-loudly kinda person. If she wanted to listen to bullshit, she'd have stayed at work.

Saiko sleeps through the entire thing, but wonders why her neighbour is camped out in their car the next morning.

I love that post about the difference between George and Nico’s approaches about beating Lewis because it is so George-is-a-child-of-brocedes-divorce coded. He really saw one of his divorced dads still weirdly obsessed with ‘winning’ the divorce while his other dad has totally moved on and decided he didn’t want that for himself and I love that for him

Anon, I think you might have deeply misunderstood my blog— when I said George calls Lewis daddy, this is not the relationship I was picturing.

I was picturing them fucking, to be clear.

But judging by how George acts around Nico nowadays, I think the better analogy is “I have seen the knock on effect of how you hurt my partner, your ex, and I want to be as far from that as physically possible”
