first of all in marriage kaneki and touka would play roblox and minecraft together because i think it’s funny (when they have free time i guess. which isn’t much)

and u know in the final chapter when it’s ichika and yomo u know same for them but maybe im Biased

i think kaneki and ui have interacted once via an online chess match but they didn’t know it was each other (ui lost and probably said something very rude)

and ui is a probably keyboard warrior but maybe that’s just cus he’s my favourite and i yeah

Akira owning a guillotine is the weirdest thing ever but also makes so much sense.

Ui is a keyboard warrior for sure. He'll finish work, pour a drink, get a cigarette, sit down and... log in to whatever site and just insult people. Nothing too nasty, more banter... but on the mean side.

Do you think Saiko reads fanfic or also writes it?? I can see her on tumblr.

Your theory about the last chapter of re being Kaneki's dream is pretty interesting. Have you found any other oddities since you made that post? I'm looking back at that final chapter myself. I might have a look at the chapters that came before, as well, see if there's any weird foreshadowing that Ishida might've put in beforehand, too.

There is one thing I've recently noticed in the final chapter regarding Kuroiwa.

Tokyo Ghoul :re, chapter 179

In the image above, he is shown holding up a newspaper with his hands. I've drawn a red pointing to Kuroiwa's right hand, and one of his fingers is visible. However, Kuroiwa lost both of his arms and hands throughout the course of the series. At the end of the original series, Eto cut of Kuroiwa's left arm in retaliation for him cutting of her arm years prior, and he is forced to where a prosthetic.

There is a hook attached to the prosthetic that allows him to grab certain things, but it doesn't have a hand or fingers. Later, when he and Urie confront Furuta in the latter's office, his right arm is torn off as well by Roma.

Tokyo Ghoul :re, chapter 137

So, at the end of :re Kuroiwa wouldn't have any hands to pick up a newspaper, but the final chapter still shows him with fingers.

I think this is an additional hint that the final chapter is merely happening in Kaneki's mind. In chapter 137, Kuroiwa is stabbed through the neck in a way that would be a death sentence, and he is shown to stop breathing. Those present (Urie, Marude, Hide) don't try to get him medical attention (which they would if there was a chance he could make it).

Kaneki likely heard of Kuroiwa's death, but in his dream he completely omits it. However, since he wasn't present for his fight against Roma he wouldn't know that his right arm was torn off. So, in his dream (:re 179) he still shows Kuroiwa with his right hand/fingers.

TG characters & who's out listening to the neighbours arguing again

Koma is the meme of the guy vacuuming the driveway. Any excuse to get nearer to the action.

As soon as he works out it's not ghoul related, Amon closes the window. He doesn't wanna hear this shit.

Itori doesn't know who Louise is, but wants to. She sounds like a party. Recognises the subtle slur of inebriated angry women.

Hide is a little averse to arguments, as is Ken. The former doesn't enjoy hearing others' misery, and the latter finds it a bit triggering.

Neighbourly arguments are a goldmine for Eto. If it isn't gossip, it's inspiration for her novels.

Nishiki acts like he's above it, but when he hears that Mr Neighbour has been shagging everything on the street he's listening.

When it sounds like the neighbours aren't tiring themselves out, Yomo will knock doors. Mostly to get them to stfu, but also to make sure everything's ok (especially if the neighbour has kids in the house).

Tsukiyama has missed out on the experience of noisy neighbour fights ☹️

Roma, Suzuya, Uta and Nico are out on the street feet away from the quarrelling couple encouraging them. They choose sides too.

Touka is a slams-the-window-loudly kinda person. If she wanted to listen to bullshit, she'd have stayed at work.

Saiko sleeps through the entire thing, but wonders why her neighbour is camped out in their car the next morning.
