"What do you remember of being human, Echo?" The question is out of the blue and unexpected. But Sora offers a patient smile and tilts her head in curiosity, just enough that one of her ears flops over. It's endearing, if anything.

But Echo wishes she hadn't asked.

"Not much. Distinct memories are cloudy." A tired tone says softly, a pained recollection in her eyes and an acrid haze in her soul that endures, endures, and endures, "But I remember the discomfort more than anything. My body always did feel wrong back then. Misshapen. Condensed. Like it was too small for everything buried underneath, and that ache went so deeply some days that it would make my skin crawl. I hated that part the most."

At that, Sora's expression falls. She looks inexplicably sad, as if she'd hoped for a different response, a gentler one despite knowing the harsh truth about the dark future and the struggles Echo must have suffered. "But you had Grovyle, right? I'm sure he took care of you."

"He did, Sora, of course he did." A sigh, a flick of an ear and claws clenched tightly into the churned earth pressed under her paws. "I doubt I deserved his attention, though. I was too busy being angry at the world to give any care back."

In my lore, Echo does not look fully human during their time in the dark future. Since they were Darkrai before becoming human, and as a result of Palkia's reckless shattering of the Dimensional Portal which distorted both time and space, Echo's transformation was broken and accidental. They ended up looking pretty messed up and definitely (not) human. A lot of their characteristics as Darkrai carried over but rather morphed into something else.

And Grovyle, growing up in a world where humans have been extinct for longer than any living pokémon has been alive, has no concept of what a "true" human looks like. The only thing he knows is descriptions of humans from glyphs and texts in old ruins. Thus, he mistakes Echo for an actual human. And Echo, not knowing what a human looks like themselves due to amnesia, accepts this identification with nothing better to use.

I made this for school as a sort of interactive self-portrait. I think I misinterpreted the prompt (even if it was super vague anyway), but honestly, getting to draw all these ocs was worth it.

The Orange Cat: Cattington Stamper

A Battleblock Theater oc. He was a stowaway on the ending ship and grew up in the city on the mainland. A nervous wreck with trauma and daddy issues.

The Shiny-ish Furret: Katt Furrocy

A Pokémon Mystery Dungeon oc. She is a writer with psychic powers who basically "documented" the "real world" story of my old PMD series. She is the most normal one here.

The Blue-Green Slugcat: The Herbalist

A Rain World oc. They were tasked with helping an iterator with an airborne rot. They are semi-aquatic but have breathing problems, hence the mask.

The Purple StoryBot: Raven Reallystressed

A StoryBots oc. She's a transfer from my old computer into my new one, resembling the use of my computer in a scholarly way. She's an introverted jerk who writes fanfiction.

The Grey Grumpus: Skrunckly "Skunck" Scrincklyscrimblo

A Bugsnax oc. He is the reason I got my footing on Tumblr. This guy is my journalist interpretation: clumsy, indestructible, and probably made of Bugsnax.

The "Watchdog": Iris Lash

A Wonder Over Yonder oc. She is from a different galaxy where "Watchdogs" are called "Seekers and Seers." She is smart, strong, and wants to overthrow the government.

The Strawberry: Strawbeary

My old OSC objectsona. I have since retired her from that role, but now she is more of a beast who is fairly bloodthirsty.

The Sketchpad: Sketchpad "Sketchy"

My OSC oc. They are the host of a show I'm working on called SPIRIT. Will I ever complete it? Unlikely, but I can try. She is eccentric and friendly but very tone-deaf and oblivious.

The Purple Dragon Cat: Katelyn Kendelle

An oc. She has been one of my forefront characters for YEARS. Despite all the changes to her character over that time, some things stayed the same: her obnoxious height, her intelligence, and her ability to reset the universe once before death.

The Blue Rodent: Kyt Sycamore

An oc. This is probably one of my most fleshed out characters since I am writing a novel for the guy. He is hot-headed with a lot to prove. No one really respects him, tho :/

anyways I was thinking about my OCs so I'm "doing it scared" (scared isn't quite accurate, but whatever) and posting about them real quick. specifically i want to talk about land-sea-sky mailcarriers today

landseasky is about a year old now (a little over I think) but it's solidified into something that feels really fun so that makes me happy. it's kind of difficult to know what to say about it though in a way that includes enough context to make it understandable? the basic concept is that it's something similar to PMD (specifically it's made to be the "opposite" to my personal PMD canon - gti was my first game so my canon is based around the concept of the pmd pokémon world being an alternate universe to the human world (that also has pokémon in it) but i also really really like how some of rescue team's locations imply pmd's world might be some kind of post human society. so i wound up incorporating that concept into LSS ^-^) and the focus is on a trio of mailcarriers who wind up doing odd jobs for the people they make deliveries to, so it creates for an episodic format that also lets them meet different characters and explore a lot of places. which is especially good for figuring out what the world's like and stuff and how the main trio reacts to different situations

the reason it's called landseasky (mailcarriers) is because the world uses an elemental typing system based around the land, sea, and sky. the current primary inhabitants of the world are creatures who can use abilities based on the land, sea or sky & the world's remaining landmasses also represent these elements (the world's split kind of cleanly into 3 parts, intended to be like a super scuffed pangaea proxima? that's kind of the idea, anyways.). so that combined with the post-human world concept is part of what makes LSS really cool - the underlying lore idea is that humans disappeared in a cataclysm a few centuries ago (accounts wildly vary - there's some that say that the great dragon (deity) killed humanity for their hubris, that the creatures killed humanity, that humanity killed each other, etc) and the creatures currently inhabiting the world used to be the mon-type monster partners of humanity. so the kind of void space left by humanity is kind of subtly felt even when they're just working at a café for the day after delivering ingredients or something. it's not necessarily the main focus of the story (at least up to a certain point) but it's in the backdrop.

so like I mentioned the world is split evenly into land, sea, and sky and there's not a ton of intermingling between these environments & the creatures that live in them (so land creatures only live on the land, sea creatures only live in the sea, sky creatures only live in the sky). (though I'm not entirely sure why yet). and there's also a smaller continent in the center of all three enviroments where there is actually a variety of creatures. so the mail system of each biome is mostly self-contained but packages to another biome have to go through the central post office in the central continent. but eventually the postmasters (one for each biome) decide to get a little crazy with it and form a group of three creatures from each biome, dubbing it the "through it all" initiative (a reference to the "through rain or wind or snow" thing). and that's how the protagonist trio comes together

i'm using creatures to refer to the characters' species but it could also be monsters or something similar. just something that evokes non-humaness but also not completely animal-ness. tho rn their designs are mostly just like cartoon animals but I do want to get a little sillier with it… I'm just not quite sure how yet.

Alongside Kris(whom I’ve talked to death about how they’re gay and trans and will continue to do so till the end of time), my other mtl ocs, both Guy and Guinness are lgbt in some way! Guy is Bisexual, and Guinness is Pansexual!

I know pmd is definitely your thing, so let’s talk about my pmd ocs! All my heroes and partners are also lgbt! Piebald the eevee is aroace, while Miroku the pikachu is gay. Ever the riolu is nonbinary and bi-ace, with Light being bi and using he/it pronouns in particular. Onto some ocs I have yet to discuss are Mist the Zorua/Snivy who is a trans woman, while Jet the axew is ace and nonbinary. Finally, Silver the fennekin is bigender and pan, while Rosemary the Chikorita is a trans lesbian!(still haven’t finished super yet grr)

There’s also my pokemon trainer Krys, who’s agender and bi!

An old oc I used to post about a lot was my tf2 oc the Omega, who’s a lesbian werewolf fuck yeah dude.

My spore aliens Mimikosu, as a species, have no concept of gender or sexuality, at least not one humans could percieve.

Last I’ll talk about here are some of my elder scrolls ocs. Jo’dar the Nerevarine is agender but uses he/him exclusively, and he’s also gay. Adhara the Hero of Kvatch is bisexual, and Dah’ni the Dragonborn is nonbinary and pansexual!

Hey everyone!!

Since I've been a little more active on here recently, I figured it would be good to make a little introduction post so you all can get to know me better.

I'm Stingray/Ray, you can call me whichever you prefer. I'm a 20 year old college student from the US, and I'm studying to get a degree in biochemistry. I'm a huge nerd, and I'm a super big fan of pokemon/pmd/pretty much anything to do with the franchise. For the past few months I've been really into mystery dungeon and the amazing oc's, au's, stories, and comics people create for it. Some of my favorites are Woo's PMD: On Borrowed Time, teshamerkel's PMD: Seekers of Soul, and Sofie's PMD: The Present is a Gift, all of which I've linked if you want to read them (you should). I'm also a big fan of Ori, and I read/watch a lot of manga and anime.

For my other hobbies, I'm a competitive Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe player. I probably won't talk about that too much here, but I post about that stuff a lot more on my twitter if you're interested. I've linked it here, so feel free to follow me there if you want.

I'm going in order of the games, but I actually played Explorers before Rescue Team! Gotta say, I absolutely loved the Friend Areas; they definitely made the world more engaging and expansive!

As for my team though, Arcas was actually an adaptation from a D&D character I made; a Dragonborn monk iirc. I don't quite remember where I got the name Lilo for a Cyndaquil from, though I recently retconned it to be a nickname of sorts. Names are fun!

In terms of playtime, Rescue Team is definitely the lowest for me. That being said, I've gotten more attached to these two little shits over the course of my doodles and shitposts than I ever thought I would.

Explorers was my first ever Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, though not my first exposure to the series. Specifically, I managed to pick up Explorers of Sky some years back, and that copy holds as my oldest PMD game.

And the fact that it's "old" helps explain my team's names; unlike my other teams where my initial goal was turning them into characters, my Explorers roster was just named after me and my old best friend. I just put our old usernames, but I still find it ironic that my old name is still appropriate given the "silent protagonist" trope PMD games usually run. Due to personal reasons though, both are now characters!

Explorers holds the title for the time I've sunk into PMD games, and it isn't even close. Incredible story, postgame, music, characters, and more; there's a reason why Explorers is considered the best entry in the series. Over 70 hours I've put into the game, and I don't intend to stop anytime soon!

Gates to Infinity was my first exposure to PMD? Is this a shocker? I'm not actually sure, but yep, the first time I had set my eyes upon this series was Marriland's playthough of GTI. I loved his voices as a kid, and I'm very happy to have finally gotten to play the game I idolized as a kid.

I had originally planned for Brooke to be another "quiet type" protagonist, but I noticed that the hero in GTI talks a lot more than in previous installments, and is also a bit sassier? Really glad I got the opportunity to give someone a more lively, snarkier personality that I don't often give my characters. Axdrew was a name given by a friend, and I've recently considered "Drew" as a hypocorism, but I'm still debating on that one.

Gates to Infinity gets so much flak, and maybe I'm just biased due to my history with the game, but it does NOT deserve the amount of hate it does. (There seems to be a theme with Gen 5 getting bashed before getting beloved tho...) I've sung the praises for GTI in old posts, so I won't be going on another rant (this is already the longest section here), but even if everyone pulls up with pitchforks and torches, I'll still hold this game close to my heart.

Super Mystery Dungeon

So, uh, this is awkward? I haven't actually played through PSMD yet. ^^; Between school, life, art, and other stuff going apeshit recently, I haven't had the time to start a new game. I'm excited for when I do though, since it apparently links all of the previous installments together. (Although I am still particularly upset that nicknames for recruits aren't a thing anymore ;-;)

Original OCs anyone? Yeah, I'm not too sure anyone's that interested in a random Absol or the 3817th Umbreon OC, but I've had these two for the longest time, even before I started playing Explorers! I guess it doesn't count to include them in this list, since they're not explicitly PMD-related, but I've been trying to write a story of sorts with 'em for a while now (though I've not got a clue if it's any good lol). Both of them have gone through a lot of changes and tweaks over the years, but they're definitely here to stay. :)

Well....that was one way to start a new decade, i guess. >  >’

Ok, from the death and destruction to the quarantine caused by viral disease to large parts of the world literally going up in flames, this year was like an ominous beginning that revealed the true ugly colors of everyone around us.

But there’s something telling me that that was just the universe releasing all of it’s built up rage from the last decade, so to think on the bright side, the only way to go is up now, right?

Regardless, pushing all the crap that happened this year aside, this feels like one of my best years yet in terms of art. i don’t think there’s any wedge of this clock that i wasn’t completely satisfied with and i had a TON of tough decisions on what to put in said wedges cuz i just luved almost everything i’ve created this year.

If you’re up to it, i’ll have my usual month to month reflection under the cutoff, but if you’re not, i hope to keep giving y’all even better art next year! ^  ^

Kicking off right where 2019 left off, i was hot on the heels of my Beastars phase, still cranking out countless drawings and doodles, mostly featuring Legoshi, and even hanging around the Beastars Amino and making some new friends there. this piece in particular i think encapsulates what i was mostly doing at the time, making up stories and stuff within canon to give myself more wolf boi content. which is something that i rarely do normally since i’ve mostly just done OC related writing before this.

February: - Sk8ter Wolf -

Ahh yes, the day i peaked with punk rock energy and created something in a highschool notebook sketch style. ngl, with the release of Beastars’ english dub on the way and the fandom quickly growing, i felt like i was on fire with the amount of stuff i was drawing. i felt so inspired and things can’t possibly go bad.

March: We Can Be Heroes

Ahh yes, the month the worldwide quarantine started because they discovered the virus around this time. from this point onward, time pretty much meant absolutely nothing since i was stuck indoors for a majority of the year, only going out if i had to. on top of that, i tried a little attempt at a fandub and got picked on immediately by yahoos on Youtube. it...wasn’t fun.

I tried doing a little challenge i made up called Animarch where i drew a drawing representing anime i liked every day, but i only got about 5 days in i think? ehh, whatever. i did try, so that means something. lol

April: - ANOTHER SIDE -

Runner up: BEAST CROSSING ~Legoshi & Raymond

This was pretty much the final month i drew anything Beastars related as i slowly started shifting back to Pokemon due to the wait for season 2. but not before getting the new Animal Crossing and drawing a thing with Raymond and Legoshi that would blow up with hundreds of notes and interactions across every platform i posted it on. lmao

Regardless, i feel like Another Side was a perfect way to end that phase of my art journey. it’s like a nice finale to a long string of ideas that i will totally return to once season 2 drops next year.

May: - KOUJI -

Runner up: Fashion (that sketch of Alex and Jet in casual clothing)

What happened this month again? oh right, i went back to Digimon for a hot minute cuz i continued playing the copy of Cyber Sleuth Complete that i won from a giveaway on Twitter and created Alex and Jet, my latest Tamer and her Hawkmon partner. i should really do some more stuff with them.

So after playing and beating PMDX, i started fleshing out Lance and Selpih’s characters and made more art and stories surrounding them and the rest of the team. one of those being a drawing for Mystery Dungeon Day, which happens the day after Odaiba Day. which is in August. why did i put this down for July then? some questions just don’t need to be answered.

You can tell by now just how uneventful life was this year cuz i have literally nothing else to talk about other than the art parts. no life issues, no big adventures like moving or something. just....indoor stuff.

It’s...kinda sad, now that i think about it. but hey, at least i was making the most of my time, trying new things and getting around a bit more.

September: Small World

So this year, i turned 21, which a lotta people say is important. not really, if you can’t do much i guess. though, i did crank out a ton of art i’m super satisfied with as you can see by how hard it was to frickin’ pick one to use for this month’s wedge on the clock.

October: Feathers of the Shadows

Hoo boi, this month was crazy. cuz i drew a whole lotta e d g e .....and a whole lotta Murkrow. lol

It was fun letting my inner edgelord out this month. even if nothing really significant happened in reality.

November: ~ One More Game ~

This month....was actually kinda rough. it was basically me falling into a depressive episode after a scare at the dentist made me worry about my self image and insecurities again. but this time it really hit me just how much permanent damage i’ve done to myself in that aspect of my appearance. i know i shouldn’t worry so much, but it’s not great when people tell you to smile when the most i can do is grin since i’m just so....unhappy with my teeth.

But then around the end of the month, i stumbled upon a Pokemon themed Discord server with people that made me feel....not as alone as i suddenly felt i was. which i’m glad i could meet them even after only knowing them for a month now. if they’re reading this, i hope you know i’m thankful for raising my spirits when there’s still things i just can’t do due to financial issues.

December: Colors of the Heart  + Happy Holidays! ~Grovyle ver.

And now this month. on top of my insecurities, i’ve now been struggling with my frustration with not being noticed as much as i should, watching as some people quickly climb up in following when i’m going much slower. honestly, i feel like the months when everything started lightening up for the world....was when things started falling apart for me. yeah, i know. pretty depressing way to end, huh? i hit 300 before the year ended thanks to the support from my new friends though, so i’m actually pretty happy.

But that doesn’t mean i’m not still scared of the future. i mean i have my teeth to worry about and also my wisdom teeth are coming in. so next few months...might be kinda rough.

Though, that’s not to say i didn’t soldier through it. this month i pushed myself, plowed through as many commissions as i could get to raise money for my new computer and made some of the best drawings that to me, feel like a great accomplishment. even if a couple of them weren’t as grandiose as some of my previous work. it was a big step forward for me as an artist. at least in my eyes.

And i have a feeling....that it can only get better from here.

1. Have I played all the games? Yeah! I’ve not played some of the variations like red rescue team or sky (though my copy of sky should arrive next week 👀) or the Wiiware games but for all intents and purposes, yeah! Basically!

2. Favourite? My favourite is definitely explores! It’s both very nostalgic for me (my sister used lot let me do missions on her copy of time) while also a game that stands up really well, story wise, as I didn’t really know the story before I actually played it last year. In close second is gates though. It’s just so good! 🥺

3. Fave partner character? Cinders!!! My Darkness partner!!! I love explores partner, they’re so sweet and they have a great arc!!

4. What did you name your characters?

Ok so in rt my hero is Emmy (bc people irl call me Em & she’s my most self insert character) and partner is Iggy, which I think was short for incenderary device????? Or ignition or something??? I was struggling for names and she’s a torchic so I looked up fire words I think.

My Explorers hero is Luca and my partner is Cinders. however! In the game, Luca is actually named Em bc again, that’s my name, and I hadn’t realised how attached I’d get to this character haha. After a bit I realised I wanted her to be a seperate character, so the name came from a Pokemon rp oc who I never really did anything with haha. As for cinders, he’s a chimchar so again I just looked up fire terms

Cue and Dee are my gates team, and honestly idk where these came from?? I think??? It was because ‘cue’ kind of sounds like axew and Dee sounds like it could rhyme with snivy kind of??? Also maybe bc of deceit from sanders sides? Idk

My super team is Syvia and Sticks. For syvia, I went to fantasy named generator, liked the name Sylvia, and misspelt it and didn’t realise until I’d beat the game. For sticks, I kind of liked the idea of them having a more nicknamey name, and they’re a turtwig sooo.... also it’s a cute name lmao

5. What’s a Pokemon you wish you could play as? CHEWTLE!!!! I think a chewtle hero would be very fun this i why I want a gen 8 game. Of the Pokemon already in a md game though I want Snover bc I fucking love Snover.

6. How do you interpret gengar and Gardevoirs post game relationship? 😳I haven’t actually played much of rts postgame so I haven’t encountered gengars backstory I’m a fake fan I know

7. How do you interpret the future trios relationship? Hmm I think they could definitely get together? More interesting to me is thinking that Dusknoir used to travel with grovyle hero and Celebi before they realised what fixing the future would do, so the post game future trio dynamic is awkward bc it’s like “wellll we were friends but you tried to kill me but then you didn’t so???? Are we friends again??” Haha

8. If you’re an artist how do you draw grovyle and Dusknoir?

As a human apparently I only draw grovyle as a cool anime man looking to the side

As a Pokemon I like to make fun of him for being short

I tend to draw Dusknoir pretty menecingly/looking a bit like a Wild West man which I think is a wild take but whatever

9. Who do you ship? I’m a big fan of chatot/Wigglytuff, obviously. It’s my favourite haha no moment will ever beat “my invaluable partner”. I also ship team charm as a polycule, and I guess also future trio? Idk. Ram paradise and Minchino is pretty obvious. Emolga and Dunsparce I lowkey ship. Idk if I ship emolga and virision bc a. Idk how old they’re meant to be??? And I feel like virision is older but idk. B. 10. Opinion on nuzleaf’s character? Did you find the twist surprising? Ok so I spoilt quite a lot of supers story for myself before I played it so I knew about Nuzleaf going in so, no I wasn’t surprised really. I think Nuzleaf is funny to make fun of, and he’s definitely a character that it’s funny to be like “that stupid bitch” but like attaching a 💖 to the statement you know? I don’t love??? Him? He wasn’t the most interesting Pmd character ever to me and I feel like the possession thing was a bit of a cop out- if they’d stick with him legit being manipulated but acting of his own free will I would have liked that. Idk he’s pretty fun i think

Gosh playing Mystery Dungeon really made my remember my old PMD oc's. They didn't have names of course so it was more or less like

Team A

Infernape, the literal fiery hot head, main protagonist, everyone thinks it's a miracle he made it here even though he was the founder of the Team with Lucario's help

Lucario, the calm and cool leader type, infernape's rival, easily annoyed, most girl pokemon fell for him quickly and Infernape hated this

Lopunny, the gutsy spazz everyone had a thing for, which she KNEW and would use this for favors

Gardevoir, not even technically part of the team but she was shiny and had to be protected by them for some reason. Had her own hair style and ribbons. She was sassy.

Team B

Typhlosion, a good lad with a heart of gold

Swampert, a bit skeevy but a good guy

Meganium, happy hippy girl the two fought over constantly, she of course is oblivious

Team kiddo

Eevee, Shinx, and Vulpix, everyone's kid brothers and sister. Eventually becomes Shiny Umbreon, Luxray, and Ninetales and super powerful

The bad guy gang

Weavile, a thief and the only one ever capable of beating Lucario

Gallade, the shadow leader of the group that was calm and cool but somehow lost to Infernape despite being stronger than Weavile

Wobbuffett, the secret weapon that redirected every attack

Garchomp, a former pirate forced to repay his dues but ended up leading several generations down the tight path, current Guild Leader and successor to Torterra

Old Man Torterra, a relic older than the town itself. He's so old he's adopted and raised the great grandchildren of the grandchildren of the first generation he helped raise on his back. Cheerful old man, wacky and weird, Yodaeque.

King Empoleon, maniacal and spoiled self proclaimed emperor of the land. I don't remember a lot for him, just that he gets in a fight with both Infernape and Lucario.

What are all the Deities AUs so far? And what are some of your personal headcannons?

Ah, well I’ve never made an official count or list of DEITIES AUs / crossovers before now, I kinda just… make them up as I think of them, or as others’ bring them up??? But of the ones I know that I’ve shared on the blog or elsewhere, or that I’ve mused about myself, I can present the following under the cut, with the ones in bold that have links to their own tags.

Keep in mind that most of these are AUs that I muse about on my own or with friends, and in my personal free time. There are a few that I may hopefully explore for fun (after I resume my main activity with, y'know, the main story >>) and others are small niche AUs that may not be explored in depth, but they’re all fun to think about regardless. Just fair warning to not expect me to spill ALLLLLLLLL the headcanons I have in a row if you ask, I don’t have the stamina for it right now, but I may consider doing an AU ask theme later whenever I do…

[1] DEITIES x Pokemon AU – This AU combines my two loves and can easily be divided into several sub-AUs all its own – Deities as pokemon trainers? Deities as pokemon / pokemon gijinka? Deities as gym leaders? DEITIES but everyone has sacred pokemon forms?? PMD!DEITIES?? THIS ONE IS TRUE AU GOLD THAT NEVER RUNS OUT–

[2] DEITIES x Harry Potter – More specifically, I think of the “Deities at hogwarts” scenario in this AU, so DEITIES cast as students in their respective houses, their best subjects, their sacred animal as their patronus – one time someone asked about their ideal quidditch positions, and well, I tried.

[3] DEITIES x Avatar the Last Airbender – Specifically like, the DEITIES as element-benders or non-benders within the ATLA world. It’s a tough one because certain DEITIES would do well in multiple elements (Set as a lightning(fire)-bender or sand(earth)-bender??), but I try to stick to the ATLA lore and keep to one. No idea who the avatar would be tho…

[4] DEITIES Business AU – Admittedly, this is one that I shared with a friend, I would need to check with her to see if she minded me sharing certain details. But think of the whole pantheon as part of a big company, with the Royal Family as the top “chief officer” positions (CEO, CCO, CFO, COO, etc.), and other staff/interns in said company (plus chairman!Ra).

[5] DEITIES Mafia AU – Or crime syndicate, whichever is the better term?? Just think The Contendings but as a modern struggle between 2 opposing crime families/gangs. And knives and firearms, ofc.

[6] DEITIES Merfolk AU – Self-explanatory. Also technically not far removed from canon; some deities could transform their hybrid features to resemble merfolk if they really wanted to. I just, need to actually draw it out–

[7] Genderbent!DEITIES – Also self-explanatory, and also technically not far removed from canon, since deities can change their gender expression however it suits them. I don’t explore this too deeply though, I just like to imagine what their designs might look like, and how the dynamics in The Contendings might shift with Set and Horus as dueling goddesses, etc.

[8] Modern!DEITIES – Really just any scenario where the DEITIES are living in modern time. I like the version where it’s basically canon DEITIES in the farrrrrrrrrrrrrr future where everyone is at least 5000+ years old, fully adapted to contemporary society and living it up in the 21st century.

[9] DEITIES School/Gakeun/College AUs – Self explanatory, and a riff from Modern!DEITIES. Either the DEITIES cast as students or as teachers/profs/staff, or some combination.

[10] DEITIES Musicians / Band AU – Related to Modern!DEITIES but with all the deities as musicians, specializing in different instruments or vocals! Or alternatively, deities in an INDIE ROCK BAND or something!! Haven’t revisited it in a while though, or settled on which instruments suit them best.

[11] DEITIES Cirque AU – Think “Cirque du Soleil” or any modern circus with the DEITIES as skilled performers with different acts. But I also shared this AU with a friend who I’ll have to double check with.

[12] DEITIES Olympics AU – EVERY OTHER YEAR I wanna draw the deities participating in Summer Games or Winter Games as Olympic athletes in their respective sports and events, and I never have the time. BUT IF I DID!!! YEAH….

[13] DEITIES Vacations – Modern!DEITIES going on destination vacations “because they can” and to bring the whole pantheon together once in a while. Disney/Themeparks was the one someone recently brought up that I had in the back of my mind, but other attractions at applicable as well. I also had Las Vegas, NYC, and Hawaii in mind as well, with plenty of room for other destinations and countries-outside-the-US as well.

[14] DEITIES… futurepunk?? cyberpunk?? – IDK THE CORRECT TERM BUT basically the DEITIES storyline for The Contendings, but instead of Ancient Egypt, it’s “Ancient Egypt” if it had survived several millennia in the future – with modern advancement and technology in place of magic. I have more ideas regard this AU, but in the event someone else is planning to do a similar epic, I’ll keep my details underwraps for a bit until I can explore it myself 

(Additional note: I’m not super invested in -punk AUs but I could acknowledge things like steampunk!DEITIES, dieselpunk!DEITIES, solarpunk!DEITIES, etc.)

[15] DEITIES In-game / Gaming AUs – Basically the DEITIES cast following the mechanics and designs of different game series I like, vicariously or otherwise – including Sonic (sanic!DEITIES and sanic teams), Splatoon (Inkling/Octoling DEITIES), Animal Crossing (DEITIES as animal neighbors), Super Smash Bros (The cast as SSB fighters), Overwatch (the cast maining different heroes) and, most recently, Dragalia Lost (Adventurer!DEITIES who tURN INTO DRAGONS…!).

[16] DEITIES Holiday Designs – Not really an AU, just the DEITIES cast in festive designs for certain holidays on the blog, purely for fun. So far we have Halloween DEITIES and their transformations; Set transformed as one of santa’s reindeer; and Set’s “B-day” for Valentines day (which, I really attribute to the kemetic community for that one, I just participated with Set drawings haha;;)

[17] DEITIES Crossovers – most of the AUs I mentioned are crossover, but here I mean when I or someone else crossover’s our stories or casts for non-canon fun. On my end, so far I’ve drawn Set as a demon from Koolaid’s Living When Dead, and the Set Spawn running into some other smol familiars. Also drawn a few other crossovers with those who drew me amazing giftart in years past.

[18] Other Personal AUs – Any of the other dozen AUs that I already indulge in with my group of friends and our personal OCs, but with the DEITIES cast as a cameo. You’d have to sift thru my personal artblog with my OCs to understand most of them (and some of them aren’t even publicly posted yet), but they  include, but are not limited to: Mythical!gijinka, Fantasy AU, vampire/lycan/witches AU, demons/angels (and the related deadly sins/heavenly virtues) AU… that’s about it that I haven’t mentioned before jskdfsdf

ok o k ok so!!! nebula is the character whos had the most versions thruout all of my versions (second only to my persona, who is shameless inserted into everything so that says A Lot)

in the work hes in (i dont actually have a name for it?? i dont even have a placeholder name for it??? i just remember it by the characters whos in it aldjagalf) basically the four main characters (this isnt about the other four whos from alexs group) are all housemates???

and nebula is a very ‘in the moment’ kind of guy and any teases he does is more lighthearted compared to burumus more deadpan snarker??? if u catch my drift??? and despite dressing Kinda Emo hes actually p excitable and upbeat?? hes just pessimistic and Melodramatic. hes an author!! (one of the two author characters i have :pensive:) and he writes horror/thriller/sci-fi stories!! think alien

so one of the things about the work hes currently featuring in is that everyone has powers?? (not like laylaylb or the heroes work where some people have powers / some people dont bc Everyone Has Them) and their eyes reflect what their powers are??? like ivys eyes are green and her powers are plant growth/manipulation????

gil u probs kno abt all this but as i mentioned before, nebula has the most variations and versions thruout my works?? it may be bc past me wasnt that good at comin up with characters so i reused a lot of them (well, i still do)

he was a pokemon oc!!!!!! he was a kirlia from pmd-u but Dont Go Looking For Him Those Were Dark Days I Was Bad At Writing And Drawing (well i still am but now i can cover it up better)

but he was in a group w/ someone elses character?? so once we stopped talking to each other he kinda fell thru the cracks BUT i was in a group with someone else!! and i kept nebula alive bc they were nice enough to let me have nebula interact with them!!!!!

and thats kinda how he stayed until i started working on this other work, and started importing a lot of characters (with ivy, reynold, molly, and landry being the only original characters to that work) into there!!! and that forced me to come up w/ a human version of nebula

but as i slowly forgot about the work (which i was working on around,, 2016???) i actually ended up bringing up him again in
