First project for college wooooooooo-

More details under the cut:

I made this for school as a sort of interactive self-portrait. I think I misinterpreted the prompt (even if it was super vague anyway), but honestly, getting to draw all these ocs was worth it.

Here are their names and some bare-bones stuff about them:

The Orange Cat: Cattington Stamper

A Battleblock Theater oc. He was a stowaway on the ending ship and grew up in the city on the mainland. A nervous wreck with trauma and daddy issues.

The Shiny-ish Furret: Katt Furrocy

A Pokémon Mystery Dungeon oc. She is a writer with psychic powers who basically "documented" the "real world" story of my old PMD series. She is the most normal one here.

The Blue-Green Slugcat: The Herbalist

A Rain World oc. They were tasked with helping an iterator with an airborne rot. They are semi-aquatic but have breathing problems, hence the mask.

The Purple StoryBot: Raven Reallystressed

A StoryBots oc. She's a transfer from my old computer into my new one, resembling the use of my computer in a scholarly way. She's an introverted jerk who writes fanfiction.

The Grey Grumpus: Skrunckly "Skunck" Scrincklyscrimblo

A Bugsnax oc. He is the reason I got my footing on Tumblr. This guy is my journalist interpretation: clumsy, indestructible, and probably made of Bugsnax.

The "Watchdog": Iris Lash

A Wonder Over Yonder oc. She is from a different galaxy where "Watchdogs" are called "Seekers and Seers." She is smart, strong, and wants to overthrow the government.

The Strawberry: Strawbeary

My old OSC objectsona. I have since retired her from that role, but now she is more of a beast who is fairly bloodthirsty.

The Sketchpad: Sketchpad "Sketchy"

My OSC oc. They are the host of a show I'm working on called SPIRIT. Will I ever complete it? Unlikely, but I can try. She is eccentric and friendly but very tone-deaf and oblivious.

The Purple Dragon Cat: Katelyn Kendelle

An oc. She has been one of my forefront characters for YEARS. Despite all the changes to her character over that time, some things stayed the same: her obnoxious height, her intelligence, and her ability to reset the universe once before death.

The Blue Rodent: Kyt Sycamore

An oc. This is probably one of my most fleshed out characters since I am writing a novel for the guy. He is hot-headed with a lot to prove. No one really respects him, tho :/

The last two are me ✌️✌️.

And the little drawing on the board is Cup, my South Park oc of both Canadian and American descent. An abomination, if you will.

the biggest thing about X6 is not that he doesn't think of himself as human (though he doesn't, and according to some it's correct) BUT that he doesn't see himself as a Person

sally acachalla is a complex character and shes also veryvery fun to draw. shes so "fake" in a coping mechanism age regression way but also genuinely enjoys the things and people she seems to shes just a lot deeper than she lets on... i dont think she's secretly like smart or anything just capable of emotional maturity sometimes. i think she genuinely isnt very good at literacy but she does fully know what death is. yknow. also she has moar swagger than all ur favs combined!!!!

before i pass out for the night. since my brain is back on dan and phil as if its 2016 or something i need to put this out into the world. this isnt some sort of important life changing post, just a personal funny thing

so when i was 13 and fixating on dan and phil, i read a lot of fanfics. like, i guarantee that even after all these years that, if i had the statistics, that fandom was the one i read the most fanfics for and constantly. i couldnt tell you what nearly any of them were about, and i have a feeling that many of them are probably lost to time by now. i also dont know if i need to mention that yeah, a lot of them were shipping, and yes ive long grown out of that. (the dnp fandom is actually what made me grow out of that)

anyway all this to say that over the last 6 years after i stopped fixating on dan and phil, one fanfic stuck with me and i just. i think about it every once in a while. its been over half a decade. it wasnt a groundbreaking fic, i dont remember any quotes or specifics, just the premise as of at least the first few chapters. idk why it stuck with me

it was literally a fic about. if the world had gotten to a point where almost every child was born as like, a science baby instead of a natural baby, and phil was a science baby, but dan was a natural baby. and there was somehow this like, thing where the science babies would bully the natural babies for some reason idek, and this was a highschool setting and i think dan was a new kid in school. and what gets me about the fic is that dan was some small shy scared kid and phil was some mean jerk bully. and how wild that is compared to how they are in real life

this isnt me trying to find the fic or the person who wrote it or any of that, this is literally just. i remember this fic at least once every few months and i needed to get it out of my brain somewhere

#there are few fics that i remember several years after i read them the first time. this is one of them #depressingly. some of the fics that are on that list are most definitely gone by now #there was one in the vt fandom i still think about 6 years later that i loved. but the person who wrote it hated it :[#the others that are on that list off the top of my head are the hlvrai mermaid fic and the hlvrai alien weed fic #my brain latches onto the most random fics to remember forever lol #my post #dan and phil #<- tagging for blog purposes. not because i want people to see this #if you see this post. good for you i guess ajfjshd #bur seriously if you know the fic/author of what im talking about. i mean itd be neat to find it again. but dont bother them yknow #its also wild how thats like. such a dystopian novel premise. not in a bad way just a neutral way #i love the premises that people come up with for fanfiction. like. ANYTHING can be a fanfic premise and i find that so magical #i had a fanfic premise that was originally meant to be a dnp fanfic that ive long since changed to be an original thing lol #and its... a weird premise lol. at least i think so #anyway since this is the bottom of the tags and no ones going to read this. i gotta say i have so many thoughts on dnp fanfic culture #and my personal relationship with it which i think. my personal relationship with it was heavily influenced by me being like.#transmasc + mlm but not knowing either yet and how wild that is to look back on #its why i love that one meme pic thats like. yes offense actually but like "uuhmm this trans headcanon doesnt make SENSE though" has always been one of just. the most inane takes in fandom ever like. assuming the person making it is someone whos otherwise an ally to trans people/not transphobic (just because with people who are transphobic that an issue thats obviously much bigger than just fandom stuff) whyy !! do you give a shit !!! like why !!! like bla bla i understand if you dont think the idea of that character being trans makes sense or you think something is canon contradicts it or you dont think its in character whatever it is you dont have to hc them as trans if you dont see them as trans you can even talk about how you think theyre cis if you want but like. its literally not hard to just not treat people who do have those trans headcanons as if theyre wrong or that their interpretation of the character is stupid/something to be mocked or act as though your superior for not reading them that way like. even if that doesnt come from a place of transphobia you will inevitably read that way to some people and regardless like. who gives a shit if someone is seeing themselves within a character/reading that character the way they want to esp in regards to a group of people with such a pitiful lack of positive representation as trans people. like get over yourself

next one isnt that controversial but thea is not a ‘bad bitch.’ shes a mean girl, this isnt really specific to thea but in so many fandoms i see characters be cast as bad bitched when tegu are really just mean, theres a biggg difference between iconic and mean, we need to stop normalising being mean.
