Got a fair few asks about Danny (aka Yandere Farmboy) and what he'd be like in marriage, with kids and the In-Laws etc. So here are a few HCs about that !
Tumblr media
Tw. BabyTrapping, Yandere, Power Imbalance, Forced Marriage, Implied Noncon, Slut shaming, implied abortion, implied homophobia/transphobia at the end, Fem! AFAB! Reader
Tumblr media
The Marriage
I've gone into some detail about how Danny would treat you once he got his hands on you in another ask. He likes getting you all dressed up and proper, and he never wants to see you with dirt smeared across your face ever again.
Danny would want to wait until you were pretty far into your pregnancy to actually marry you. Hell, he might even wait until you actually have his baby. You'd asked him to just get it over with right after he got your parent's permission to take you away from the farm and into his home, but he wanted everyone to see what you had become.
You aren't just some rat scurrying around town anymore. No, you're his. And now there's no way you can deny it. Because if you do, you risk being shunned by everyone.
"That poor Petusky kid... getting stuck with that whore."
"She's lucky he even keeps her around. If it were me, I would've run her off a long time ago."
Danny had you moved into his family home soon after the events of the first fic. He likes sitting there, rubbing your growing belly and murmuring words of comfort. He forces you to recline in a plush, padded rocking chair he made with his father just for you.
"This is the happiest I've ever been," he praised as he pressed kisses to your skin. He smiled at the way you flinched, and he cooed softly. "The wedding venue is booked. Plus I've got the bakery prepping a cake. A big one too, with your favorite flavors," He said. You don't remember telling him what they were. "We just gotta wait until this little one arrives. Getting married will be the best thing that's ever happened to you, I swear. Weddings are just... stressful. Don't want anything hurting the baby now, do we?"
Of course he doesn't let you work. You're his precious wife, after all. Plus he seethes at the thought of failing you, of letting you slip from his fingers and back into a life where he can't control your happily ever after. You'll have no financial freedom, that's for certain.
He's eerily attuned to your wants and needs. he's spent years observing you, your interests. The way your eyes would trail longingly on the other women in town with their nicer clothes, the way in school that you tried and tried to keep up with other academically. You wanted a better life. He had that. He could give you that.
He adores you, he really does. He'd buy you old Bronte sister novels and sit there with you when you'd struggle to read them. He comes back to you every day, no matter how sweaty and caked in mud he might be, pressing flowers into your hands.
Maybe if he'd been less of a creep, less desperate to possess you entirely, then perhaps he could've been the love of your life.
Tumblr media
The In-Laws
Danny's parents, like mentioned in the original fic, are pretty much the wealthiest people in town if not the entire area. They own several cattle ranches and acres upon acres of land that's perfect for tilling. Really they're the exact opposite of your family.
They aren't unkind per se, but you could definitely feel them judging you whenever you had spoken to them in the past. They'd smile at you in an overly friendly manner that felt empty as it looked nice. Just typical southern politeness wrapped in a shiny veneer.
That being said, when Danny came to them one day, dragging your shaking form in front of them, they knew something was up. There's no reason a girl like you should seem so upset that their precious baby boy was promising her the moon and stars. When he goes on to explain " She's gonna have my baby. I know you should wait until marriage and all, but we got to excited and well..."
A shotgun marriage with the town tramp. Not exactly ideal for a sterling reputation, but they could work with this. Most of the town would probably judge you no matter what, but Danny's parents subtly nudge people to think of you like some gold digger.
They can sense that Danny did something to you. You flinch sometimes when you think no one is looking, and his mother has caught you crying alone in some random room in their big house a couple times. Unfortunately, though, you're far less important to them than their son. If he wanted you that badly, he can have you. They're just gonna make sure everything stays under wraps.
Danny's father doesn't really care for you one way or another. He doesn't really get what his kid sees in you, but then again, he can kind of see why the boy grew up to be so damn possessive. He had traditional values pummeled into him from a young age, and what's more traditional than marrying your high school sweetheart and providing for her and your family? Once you get cleaned up a bit and start living with them more often, he quietly accepts you as part of the family. He likes whittling toys for your new arrival when he's not working or with his wife, and he finds you to be a pleasant addition. Overall, he'll keep his mouth shut on what Danny did for the sake of everyone in the family and for his own peace.
Danny's mother on the other hand is quite involved when it comes to you. Your her daughter in-law! Ain't that something? It's kind of clear that she doesn't like you from the beginning, but she can't get rid of you and sweep you under the rug in the way she'd like. If it was up to her, you'd be headed for some backwater clinic before being shipped off to the big city, never to be seen again. But Danny loves you, and she can't exactly stop him without risking putting him in jail or having their reputation ruined. So, you stay, much to her resentment.
Second to Danny, she spends the most time with you. She's a housewife as well, so she helps you learn how to take care of a proper household for once. Your manners and demeanor are awful in her opinion. You're too skittish and sad looking! So what if you've been forced to marry your stalker? Don't you know how many other girls would've killed for this, young lady? Just like her husband, though, she becomes more fond of you over time. Once you're settled in and start meekly accepting her offers to bake, clean, and do general busy work with her, she starts actually seeing you not as her son's property, but as her daughter. She had all boys after all, so it's nice to have another girl in the house. She keeps tabs on you for Danny, sending him candid photos of you and the baby once it arrives. Now that she actually likes you, sweeping the whole thing under the rug changes to include keeping you as well.
Danny has little sibling as well: two younger brothers. They're both far younger than him, and they don't really have an opinion of you one way or another. You just kind of... appeared in their house one day. Their mom and dad started stressing for a while, and you didn't seem too happy either, so what was this whole deal? I think they'd be very kind to you initially, bothering you to play and sharing sweets when they wished to, and they're both curious and annoyed about the fact that a baby is going to join them soon.
I think that while the siblings don't learn about what happened to you, their perception of love and morality would be heavily skewed by the fact that you, being scared and held in the house against your will, and their big brother are presented as the pinnacle of romance.
Overall, you'd be accepted, but there are definitely a lot of strings attached to that.
Tumblr media
The kids
I think Danny really loves his kids with you. Or rather, he loves the idea of having a family more than he actually would the kids themselves. He's always had this dream that the two of you would be lost in a fluffy, domestic bliss until the day you died, and part of that meant a few little ones running around.
He's a good dad in the sense that he'd always be there for them. He'd take them to games, to dance practice, teach them how to work in the fields and buy them gifts. He's very present, but it's always with an undercurrent of control. You don't want to ruin this happy family, do you now? Your kids love their father, they love this happy home, so don't you dare think about leaving, okay?
In addition, I think that Danny would have a really hard time dealing with a kid that deviated from what he considered to be "normal" or "traditional". Part of his whole power in their very conservative town is that his family is a paragon of tradition and "societal values". It's how he trapped the reader after all. But if his kids threatened that balance of power by trying to leave the farm, go to the city, or be anything other that what he'd been trying to turn them into, I think he would genuinely lose it. His kids are not people to him, they are ideas and pawns that he'd become attached to.
If the kids turned out to be more like him in possessive, controlling behavior, then I think then he'd probably recognize them as their own individuals rather than just an fantasy he had for a legacy or a life with the reader.

I feel like such an asshole for feeling this way but I genuinely do hate tags used to warn people in fiction. Maybe it’s because I read so many books going in blind growing up and things like warnings just didn’t exist but the constant need to prepare people for processing fictional scenarios is so mind numbingly stupid to me I can’t get passed it.
--
Past it.
I dislike long lists of itemized warnings too, but I'm willing to bet that you have never once read a book where you were truly going in blind.
Any book that goes through mainstream publishing has a thousand gatekeepers keeping the form and content within somewhat common parameters. It is then put out by a particular imprint that is for literary fiction or romance or whatever. The cover art is selected to attract a particular audience. The back blurb implies a lot about the tone.
It's true that if you're terrible at reading back blurbs, you might not realize it's an Anyone Can Die book, but the implications will be there. Sometimes, the marketing is really off base, and the art/blurb/etc. are hinting at things the book doesn't deliver, but in general, they do a decent job of conveying the big picture warnings.
In the context of fanfic, in ye olde times, the biggest warning people wanted was for death of either half of their ship. This is right in line with romance novels, where if it does not have a happy ending where the leads are together and not dead it is not a romance novel.
Harlequin and the like are very clear. If you don't want to write that ending, you aren't writing their genre, and you can fuck off with your "Ooh, I write it a different way" nonsense.
--
Fanfic and some of the very recent selfpub are different: When I've done Wattpad research, I've found works where I honestly cannot tell if it's even supposed to be fic. Hell, I can't tell if it's supposed to be fiction. It's so short and incoherent that I have no idea what I'm looking at. Most fic is a little more obvious in what it's trying to do, but it has no gatekeepers forcing it into a basically novel-shaped package. Leads could be killed off half way through the plot even if it makes no sense and doesn't fit the genre. Genres and tones can swing wildly at any point. Structure can be avant-garde or deeply incoherent.
Tags and very literal labels handle the I suck at summaries! R&R! problem.
Packaging art in a way that implies without spoiling takes skill and probably revision. Some fic is packaged this way, with only bare bones tags and a solid summary, but that's never going to be most fic. The volume will also always be far vaster than for professionally published novels where one company can only put out so much per year, and each work is long and more worth marketing time. There's far more to sort through and far less pressure to market well. Clear tags so people can find things are useful.
It really, really was not better in the old days when shit was barely labeled even if some of the modern stuff feels extremely over-warned to me.
(TBH, hand-hold-y over-warning is its own warning for the author writing The Bad Thing in an unsatisfying and wimpy way.)

I dunno if you’ve seen what’s in the isat artbook yet but there’s a mention in there of id5’s support of she/her Loop which made me think of that great post you made a while ago on Loop gender!!! Just thought I’d let ya know since that post was absolutely foundational to my personal Loop thoughts lol!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ok goofs aside lol hi. first of all: really funny that more than one of you thought of me for this. my powers. and second of all: okay ill actually give my thoughts.
alright so for the uninitiated (THIS POST) (+bonus link to it with extra additions i like) is what these two anons are talking about. It's about 8k words on my like, puzzled-out hard textual read of what i think is up with Siffrin/Loop's gender.
So, re: the artbook content (READMORE ON ACCOUNT OF ME GETTING LONGWINDED AGAIN)
The relevant passages here are pages 113, 38 and 39 (with a sidebar i want to bring up on 89).
I'm going to crop it down to only what is necessary to get to my point because adrienne doesn't want big chunks or full pages posting, so here's my little collage.
Tumblr media
113: The page is primarily about finding ways to disguise Loop's true identity, and that's what most of the visuals on the page are about. The note I've cropped [Loop using she/her...] is on the most siffrin looking of these images, just being them sans cloak, eyepatch and hat.
This, to me, reads like the intent at the time was what eventually evolved into Loop's "Royal We" joke misdirect and their they/them only status. Consideration of, 'would just showing off a character nigh identical to sif but with "opposite" pronouns be enough to throw people off the trail?' that I would imagine evolved into just dropping the he/him, since that's more than enough to do so when you also change their appearence to be more ethereal.
*But* ArtbookCommentary!Adrienne is the one saying "She/her Loop is an incredible idea." owing to some level of affinity toward the concept in retrospect. Lends it some creator-branded 'cool points', which aren't worth *much* in terms of Quality of Textual Evidence, but certainly lends it points against being a *bad* read.
So I read this as like, while on it's own, not much more than conjecture when it comes to supporting the idea of transfemme loop-- I think as another arrow in the overall quiver it strengthens that idea that Siffrin is sticking by their he/hims as a like... side effect of how he was born/raised and sees change as something they can't do. It's less a point in support, and more a point *against* it being wrong. (It's like how in science you try to falsify things in order to prove them, y'know? Evidence *against* it being false is different to evidence *for* it being true, but it's almost better that way, sometimes??) Speaks to the idea that Loop would see those pronouns as a Disguise in some way, which to me, when paired with pages 38-39 and the dress* gives the implication that femininity is an untapped well for them. That it's new, and not something they'd do without a plausibly deniable excuse. Which continues to feed into my readings of Siffrin being amab and uncomfortable with change, even if (especially if) they want it in some way. It kind of has to be forced onto them to allow them to try it, because then it's not their choice, now is it?
*The dress is absolutely in reference to the prologue line, isn't it? it being grafted to their skin unlike the other considerations for clothes shown on the page too, aligns with this idea of Loop's body being informed by their wants/feelings about themselves in some way (distinctly inhuman, no need to eat, no need to smile anymore, yet still blind). But where canon!loop has no gendered traits to hold them down anymore, dress!loop would be more of a giveaway of their desires to at least express *some* femininity. (See: my prior essay for further thoughts on how i think that manifests, and my thoughts on it being a somewhat doylist read of the game's themes that i stand by)
Tumblr media
(god buddy. you get deeper into the timeloop and it makes you . forget everything . about fucking everything . but the want that bubbles to the surface harder is this? loop. christ im repeating myself again go read my previously linked essay if you arent these two anons i go into way more detail.)
BUT YEAH. yeah.
I think it's a stretch to say things that aren't literally in game, and are still at most discarded exploration of character really count as Evidence for in-game reads, as they are paratext at best-- But. buttttttt buttttttt they do offer a good insight into the intent with which some things were most likely approached. like i say, it's not evidence /for/ my theory, just evidence /against/ me being on the wrong track. But yes i do feel pretty vindicated that this aligns so well with my amab nb siffrin/transfem loop trutherism. Which makes sense, given that the Whole Point of that read was to try and sleuth out the authorial intent, rather than anything else.
Like, i was following a framework in specific of (posts wikipedia screenshot for 'authorial intent')
Tumblr media
as opposed to the equally valid Reader-Response framework (under which death of the author also falls)
Tumblr media
which is why in that thing i stress so hard that i'm trying to abstain from my own bias (whether or not i succeed? idk. i do break my own rule for a second when pointing out how hard siffrin's fear of change resembles transfem repression in specific as i relate it to my friends and wider observations). but yeah. it was very nice that the artbook aligned so nicely since pairing my readings against the author's own literal words was always going to be the Ultimate Test™ for an authorial-intent based reading.
... oh ! and the sidebar i said i'd have.
Page 89:
Tumblr media
get forcibly changed idiot. fucking themes lol (this was also vindicating as a 'loop stays as a star' truther which is something i tie into my themes of gender/sif not accepting change until its forced upon them. but it's not the mostest relevant to the convo without that context. but whee!)

Hello!!! ✨️🌟💖 I have come to ask about your au and my favorite trope, because I can't stand not thinking about dogman and petey. Anyways.
Dimension travel is my favorite shit, I live and breath interactions between characters who are the same person but with different lives. Soooo... to make your au about meeee... I'm joking, obviously, but I have to ask.
What do you think Dogman and Petey would think about your au? On how your Petey got to raise LP since birth, instead of being cloned. How your Petey actually has friends, how he never turned to villainy, and how he actually seems to have a life other than the grief he lived with before LP appeared. And how he seems to, now matter how messed up it is, actually have a relationship with his father in your au. What would he think about that? How would he cope and freak out, and a million other things about how this person, who is literally him, who lives a completely different life?
How would Dogman react to the fact that your dogman actually gets to live a life as dogman first, before being thrust into heroism and the spotlight? How your dm gets to have a family, without it being threatened in life or death situations. How he gets to learn how to be a person, instead of being forced to become one. And how he gets to have a normal relationship with Petey and LP, and gets to take care of this kitten that he loves like a son at a younger age.
Of course, the disconnect between them and their lives is too great, so they might not think anything other than a "congratulations! Your life doesn't suck in the same way ours does!" And I also think that the Dogman and Petey in your au have a younger vibe to them, so that might give canon detey some thought on how their lives could've been different, had they met earlier. Of course a lot of that hinges on the fact that Dogman and Petey become aware of your au after LP is made.
Anyways. Wow. I talk too much. But like I said, dimension travel is my favorite, and your au gives me a lot to think about. Love you!!!❤️❤️❤️
HELLO USER SIGGYHUNT I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS SO MUCH THANK YOU FOR POURING YOUR THOUGHTS IN MY INBOX I REALLY REAAALLLY APPRECIATE IT ‼️‼️‼️SORRY FOR the late REPLY XOXO❤️❤️
I do think they wouldn't be upset to see how their life isn't so bad in this universe, yeah, it's unfair how the universe treated their pasts so differently in their own dimension but life isn't so bad if you give it some time until those right people will come to you ^^
- For Petey, he had mixed emotions seeing his alternative self he doesn't envy him, he's just pretty much more positive about it like "oh so this is what my life be like if it doesn't suck, oh well good for him". He's curious of how his alternative grew up without getting into cat jail and actually has someone who cares about him, and finding out that his dad is still absence throughout his life but still got a loving mother despite all those traumatic experiences he still endured them. He's glad he's doing well in this universe with his son
- as for Dogman, he would be so Ecstatic seeing his Pre-Supa Cop self. If he had a chance to talk to his younger self it's this time but except it was just his alternative self telling him that "no matter what everyone says don't be afraid to be yourself" something like that. It's good to know noone is forcing him to live in the society as all human, also it makes him happy he's having a decent relationship with the kitties!!
Overall Detey is rooting for their alternatives selfs

I hope this answered your ask OP 😭😭😭 i did all my best to answer this one sobsob (still hasn't figured out how making comic works but HEREE)

It was done because MRNA vaccines have been worked on for a while, but they did not technically go through all the rigamaroll to test them to regulatory satisfaction. More or less, this was the henhouse rubber stamping approval rather than go through the big mathematical and controlled series to make sure there were no side effects.
It's correct that vaccination is not there to "lessen the severity," but flu shots and annual or seasonal vaccinations are a thing and have been since forever. Now, there's a good argument to make here that the perfect storm happened, and the government, pharma and the soft shoe authoritarian tyrants demanding conformity and cooperation with curfews, masking, the six foot rule and mandatory vaccinations in order to participate in society.
The virus is real, the vaccine is real and operates within the parameters it can reasonably operate for the sort of virus and illness that it does work on, but that's kind of where it ends.
We're still faced with the problem where certain people in government smiled and went, "OH NO!" excitedly, trying to shut down the economies, personal freedoms and personal autonomy, as well as institute Universal Basic Incomes for all those people that now couldn't continue operating. A kind of double-triple jeopardy, where you either conform and keep your job and make the government pay for your shot, giving pharma that sweet, sweet socialized healthcare and business proposal we can't refuse, or you wind up homeless and penniless like you ran out of social credit in China.
It was a very scummy move, and I think it would've been worse if the corruption were deeper. It was exacerbated and made worse by people not wanting to question why the Chinese military virology lab, known internally for leaks and engineering strains of COVID, with a known plan to weaponized COVID in human effectiveness trials, was so fucking close to the "wet market."
If the US just so happened to have a virus lab outside an inner city full of non-white minorities, you'd best fucking believe no one would believe that a bat just swooped out of the nearby cave next to the military owned research laboratory, one dedicated to bat viruses, and delivered a totally new virus that just so happens to have characteristics that are not native to American bat virus strains. They'd call boo on that and make it out to be the white people trying to genocide minority communities and just being very bad at it.
And yet we're expected to stomach this sad explanation for why China isn't responsible for the virus as a weapon. Yeah, give me a fucking break. This virus and our response to it was the cope of a battered housewife trying to assure the kids there's no domestic battle because she doesn't want to break the happy home. Or rather, allegorically, our economic and industrial relationship with cheap, unregulated Chinese labor.
give me a break. This entire fracas was a psy-op designed to force compliance and normalize society being shut down "in the name of public health," and seeing how hard it'd be to justify it not based on the authority of the government, but by controlling the circumstances of life, making conformity and disruption of civil rights contingent on the government's allowances by the alleged necessity, in the face of plague.
All culminating in an almost mafioso change in the vaccine/pharma business and mandating people now pay for them out of pocket, and be unable to participate in society unless they do, or they're covered under insurance, or some other health plan. Or be punished by disallowance to participate in society.
It's a good thing that MRNA vaccines could theoretically isolate every single part of a virus and innoculate you to them, so the virus could marginally mutate all it wanted; In good faith, a proper MRNA vaccine could easily wipe out an entire class of viruses of distributed globally. In the meantime we need to whip pharma into shape. and make sure our ability to exist without gettin stuck with needles every month is possible.
Reading vaccine discussions make me feel so gaslit.
Before covid, vaccines were never discussed as being for the purpose of lessening the severity of an illness. They have always been to prevent infection. The polio vaccine doesn't make polio survivable, it makes it so you don't catch it. Cases of polio dropped.
Even when the covid vaccines were first released we were told it would prevent infection and therfore the spread. Only when that became obviously untrue did it shift over to "that's not actually what vaccines are for, they are to lessen the severity."
And when people say that to me in an exasperated tone as if that isn't a brand new idea from 4 years ago I want to scream.

sometimes I forget that Final Victor was the first time Aventurine and Ratio met and I'm like...imagine you're Ratio and you pull up to work and your boss is like 'you're getting a new mission partner' and you're like ugh probably some average boring idiot, another person who will treat me like a cold and off-putting genius, I'd so much rather be by myself god damnit this is going to suck.
Then, in walks an unassuming little blond man who immediately whips out a gun, gives you bedroom eyes while he loads it in front of you, probably blushing and biting his lip and shit like a freak, puts it in your hand, presses it to his chest, intertwines his finger with yours around the trigger, stares you dead in the face, AND I QUOTE, "provocatively", and fires it. Three times. AND THEN HE PROBABLY JUST LEAVES BC IF YOU'RE GONNA PULL SOMETHING LIKE THAT YOU CANT JUST HANG AROUND FOR DRINKS AFTERWARDS YOU GOTTA FLEE AND KEEP UP THE MYSTERY, SO NOW YOU'RE JUST ALONE IN THE ROOM LEFT TO PROCESS WHAT JUST HAPPENED.
Like what do you even do after meeting someone like that ??? Well in Ratio's case I guess you fall in love but I can't even blame him, I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about him either, doc. I can literally picture Ratio in his fucking Ebenezer Scrooge nightcap and gown that same evening, lying awake in bed, staring up at the ceiling, looking so perturbed just thinking '.....who the hell was that?'
Ratio is probably so used to knowing everybody's next move since he's so smart, people are probably pretty predictable in his eyes. This might have been the first time the man has ever been truly flabbergasted by someone's sheer impulsivity. He met his very first wild card (which honestly just makes me so emo because they get to know each other so well and you know my mushy emo heart thinks nothing is more romantic than truly knowing someone)
Also Aven honey normal people show their new work partners they trust them by like...doing a trust fall or playing charades or buying them a hallmark card or something but forcing someone to shoot you also works I guess I mean you got the man whipped so what the hell do I know

doflamingo looking like zoro without his glasses is so true actually, i always have do a double take when i see fanart
Literally! Doffy's two defining traits are his glasses and his smile so without them he just has his balding hairline 😭 and sorta buzz cut is very similar to Zoro's. I think it tends to go under the radar a lot because Zoro usually frowns when he's in a scene because he likes trying to act cool while Doffy is grinning ear to ear like a madman 90% of the time.
In terms of hair, the main difference is that Zoro has more of a square shape to his hairline that extends to somewhat longer sideburns. Even looking at their eyes doesn't help either because most of the fandom also subscribe to 'Doffy is missing/has an injured eye'. I think the eyebrows are the only real difference - or lack thereof in Doffy's case
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And it works the other way as well, when you give Zoro the Doffy glasses, he looks like Doflamingo. (also I can't get over how cunty everyone looks in the second image like they really are top tier glasses designs)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also it's funny to me that when I was looking for references I found the moments that Doffy looks the best are usually when he's frowning lol. Not to say they're aren't some good moments of him with his signature smile, but he tends to look a bit too silly for me, especially when he has his tongue out. And the anime doesn't help since Dressrosa has tons of wonky off-model moments for all the characters and Doffy's no exception.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i guess
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
most of the time we see him smiling it feels very forced which I think is kinda the point. The shape of his glasses kinda resembles smiling eyes and most of the time he will have that same 'evil' grin. Drawing him with any kinda of emotions is genuinely so hard because you can't just slap on some eyebrows and call it a day, which I imagine is why we have that goofy vein sound effect to show his rise in blood pressure every time something goes wrong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
like he's so pissed in all of these images but its hard to differentiate that from his goofy grin because he's basically angry all the time. The grin is just kinda something he does to unsettle people. And in this translation from The Library of Ohara they even mention that he just kinda does that automatically?
Tumblr media
Whereas you look at the few times Rocinante smiles and it's clearly very genuine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and the funniest part to me is that between the two of them, Law clearly did not take after Corazon when it came to smiling because like...
Tumblr media
and Zoro has also been known to have that sorta bloodthirsty looking grin

I'm sure there are some sex buyers who would be disueded from it if they faced harsher punishments if caught. But a lot wouldn't be. And the kind of man who doesn't care if he gets life in jail for hiring a prostitute is NOT the kind of man who would react well to a sex worker saying "no, you need to wear a condom."
You can't believe this and also believe enforcing safe sex practices would be easier with legalisation. It's the same pool of men who would buy sex. If a man who would harm a sex worker would do so whether it's legal and regularised to buy sex, or whether it's illegal and harshly punished, then how does legalisation help the sex workers? At best it might mean they have a few more good experiences than bad. Which still doesn't affect the main exploitation. It just sanitises it. It makes it socially acceptable to buy sex, which increases demand, which will increase the number of women in the sex trade over time. And seeing as the sex trade, is at its core, inherently exploitative, that's a bad thing. Allowing sex trade to be completely legal might make a fraction of workers and all buyers more comfortable in the short term, but long term it harms women as a whole, whether they're sex workers or not.
Reducing demand for sex work also wouldn't necessarily decrease the motivation for pimps to get into the industry. After all, they can just up prices to account for the additional legal risk they're taking.
That's why they should be punished too. Pimps aren't victims, they're organisers. They're guilty of trading women.
If you listen to actual sex workers, most of them say stuff along these lines. They need better legal protections. They need destigmatisation. This is why this particular brand of feminism is called "swerf". It doesn't actually protect sex workers, it does the opposite. It forces their industry further underground, makes it harder to speak out against the exploitative side of the industry, and puts sex workers in far more danger.
That's why I said swerf is a nonsense term. Radical feminists disapprove of the sex industry but do not hate sex workers. The women themselves shouldn't be criminalised. They need help and support. Punishing buyers and pimps doesn't make it more difficult for the victims to speak out about exploitation, because then it would be understood that all of it is exploitation. The grey areas created by trying to regularise such an inherently harmful practice is what makes it more difficult, because then the harm becomes far less clear. When it is legal to buy intimate access to a body, identifying abuses becomes more difficult. Especially considering the types of activities that go on in the sex industry. It's very much possible to criminalise buyers and pimps without criminalising the victims. Idk why people act like it's not.
There are also plenty of other scenarios where people are paid for their bodies, and the labour is performed by their bodies. For example, athletes. Some sports can be incredibly dangerous. The body is usually the one performing the labour. And the only product is entertainment. Do you believe every single person who watches professional sports should be punished? Should every football club manager be locked up for life? After all, it's a body performing the labour. And bodies shouldn't be rented or sold, right?
You're having the same problem I said in my last reply. You're still unable to differentiate between labour produced by a body and the body that is producing that labor. When you play professional sports, you are paid for a performance. The performance created by the body is the product. That's the labour.
Professional sportspeople aren't paid to commodify their very bodies, nor are they paid for access to those bodies. The labour, which is performance, is what is bought, not the body providing the labour. People watch sports not to watch their bodies, but to watch the game. People pay for sports not to pay for their bodies, but to watch them play. The watchers are spectators and the players are actors, valued for their skill.
Sex work is commodification, it makes the body into the product and invites the buyers to consume it in some way. The body is what is being paid for, not labour produced by the body. Even in stripping, which can be said to be somewhat similar to spectator sports, is framing the woman as an object for sexual consumption. The woman's body is the marketable object, not the labour involved in moving on the pole. If it was, then she'd be clothed like other dancers are. A stripper is different from other dancers who get paid to put on a performance in that way. The performance is the product for other dancers, while the body is the product for a stripper. It is not the same.

*sees anti sex work sentiment*
*calls it terf bullshit*
These people keep telling us every way but out loud what being trans really is about, because what does sex work have to do with being transgender? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Y'know what, I might lose some followers for this, I might gain followers, I might get threats and hate, or love and support.
But y'know what. I fw Copiiia hard.
Please disregard any and all previous posts I have made against incest ships cause lowkey i fw it.
I will infact be writing that shit as well with my dead dove, and I don't care.
You can leave hate comments all you want, but it won't stop me. Because in the end, if you don't know how to separate fiction from reality, then that's a you problem. In no way shape or form do I support real incest, same goes for non con/rape, necrophilia, and all the other fucked up shit I've written, but I do enjoy writing it.
You are welcome to block me. You're welcome to unfollow, do whatever, I don't care. But this is my official post saying that I am absolutely open to receiving incest ship prompts.
I'm tired of pretending I don't fw it just to keep people from sending me hate, I'm tired of defending myself over fiction, and I'm tired of forcing myself to not write this shit cause of it. That is all love you <3
You can't force me to not write it, and I can't force you to read it. Just like all of my other dead dove fics, i will infact be giving proper warnings. I will still be writing plenty of non dead dove, so :P
You are welcome to attack me as much as you wish, but anyone I have associated with (co writers, reblogs, art commissions, etc.) is not involved whatsoever unless stated otherwise. Do not attack them, do not get mad at them, don't do shit to any of them.

the way some of you clearly think bisexuals don't experience actual attraction and feelings for people, but rather decide ahead of time if they want a man or a woman this time and then just go and pick whoever comes into their line of sight next is so obvious and definitely makes me think you all don't need to speak on things you don't know about

In official art, skitarii seem to just tuck their pants inside the socket, but surely that can't be comfortable or practical, unless I suppose they're trying to prevent chafing and have no liners (which is actually probably pretty likely, considering 40k). Not that I'm excempt from that, I just don't want to cover up the cool legs with pants - though that's probably the meta reason as to why they do that.

I had a dream that Maya got involved in a luciferian cult, and Riley slowly figured it out. Maya would offer to "help" Riley - say pass a test - via a small sacrifice. She'd do a chant, someone nearest to her would have bad luck, and Maya would transfer her blessed luck to Riley. Riley thought it was a cool trick but felt bad at the bad luck victims. Riley was sworn to secrecy by Maya. For an upcoming test, Riley can't ask Maya to cheat and asks her father for advice instead. He asks for some more details and tells her he trusts she'll pass by herself. To do the right thing. In the next class, he gives a lecture on the dangers of cheating fate and theories of magic. Farkle and Zed catch on that this ties to Riley and Maya somehow. Maya is furious at Riley, who explains she just wants to protect her. Maya slowly detaches from Riley, not fully bc they are school project partners. One night, Maya leaves in an irked hurry as Farkle and Zed arrive casually. They, as well as Riley's mom, ask about Maya. Riley says she's in trouble. She doesn't say what to her mom, but leads her friends to her room. She tells them that Maya is involved with magic. W/ online research, Farkle figures out it's demonic and occultic, which is the most dangerous. It invites to do spells for little costs. Spells that open a spiritual door. One tied to your spirit. One once opened, you don't know who's coming out. Those are the hardest to close. Zed and Riley get a silent chill. Beat. "At least that's what User35326 on Magic.wiki says." Farkle smiles (laughtrack). Riley urges they find Maya and save her. They uber to track her phone, Jack Harlow cameos as the driver. They go to the woods, but Harlow says he only gets paid if his car is in close radius and drives on the golf course, alerting the cult. The gang is met with an immediate "welcome" and taken to the ritual site. Before the bonfire, robed people await. Riley admits she doesn't know which is Maya. They have taken their phones, even Zed's asthma tube. The leader spouts some BS about how occultism is the real Christianity and the true religion of Jesus. How all the prophets spoken to Satan, not God. Another robed person joins - it is Maya. She asks the leader to release them. He agrees, only aftering wiping their memory. He forces them to drink something then look into the fire. Before long, they hallucinate evil lafter and demonic faces, then fall asleep. Riley wakes up in her bed. Maya ignores her the coming days. Farkle and Zed have no memories. Riley felt like she needed to remember something. She has dreams at night of demons stalking her and watching through her dark doorway & window. Waiting to attack. Toying w/ & mocking her. She feels that they have Maya but is too scared to enter the dark. She awakes in cold sweats and runs to her parents' room. In fear. She tells them about her nightmares and gets attacked by them, really demons. She wakes up in the morning and immediately tells Farkle & Zed. They Maya into coming over for an intervention. She denies them blasts them, screaming they all have something going for them, esp. Riley. How she has 2 parents, a sibling, good grades, air conditioning that doesn't make noises, a security system and stacked fridge. No bugs or burglars or bad days. Her living room is as big as Maya's apartment flat. Riley listens and hugs her, validating her feelings as they both cry. Maya says she just wanted something good for herself. Riley says she knows and that she's sorry for not seeing it. That what is Riley's is Maya's bc Riley will always have her back. Farkle and Zed hug them. "We all will." Farkle says. Lucas comes in, fresh from his trip to Texas, and joins the group hug. They all devise a plan, including riley & maya's parents, to get maya free of them. Hand in hand, Riley and maya are in this together, cementing this the night of the plan at the baywindow. Maya returns to a cult meeting, and... the dream ends there. Damn.

sometimes looking at like Self Help Strategies lists for the symptoms I'm having is always just like:
thing that I already do
thing I have tried 10 times
thing I already do
thing that I don't have the money to do
thing I already do
thing I've been doing since I was 10yrs old to no avail
thing that is impossible given my situation
thing that doesn't apply to me
thing that I already do
thing I have already tried
hrmm, oh wait, maybe finally- OH, yeah.. okay. thing that I already do but it was just phrased slightly differently
thing I have already done
#I think maybe productivity tips help less if the reason you're unproductive is partially like.. physcial health and other extenral things#out of your control. rather than just like having trouble paying attention or spending too much time on tiktok or whatever#all the strategic to do lists in the world are not going to somehow prevent me from waking up with a debilitating migraine or whatever#or having external stressors or lacking resources and connections or other Productivity Essentials etc.#especially many tips involve stuff like 'cut off from social media' since thats the modern day time waster for so many poeple#and it's like.. lol.. i can hardly even maintain a blog even thuogh i actively WANT TO DO SO. 'shut off your smart phone!' already#done babey i fucking hate smart phones i shall never use an app unless i am forced to. 'delete tiktok' yep. already covered. tiktok and#all of those thinsg are my enemies. 'save money by cancelling some of your services' cool. already ahead of you.#who the fuck is out here paying for like 10 different subscription services. pirated videos uploaded to google drive and youtube to mp3#my beloved. etc. etc. and so on. 'socialize less' .........LOL.. if only you knew.. mr.writer of the article. i can barely muster#talking to friends more than once a month and even less if I'm actively sick (often occurence) etc. etc. ... hewoo#I think maybe instead of generic productivity tips I need more like.. how to refocus and be productive anyway even if you have a headache#or are nauseous or etc. Not that those are always things to ignore. and of course you should let your body rest and etc. But plenty of peop#e have mild physical symptoms and just work through them. Ithink something about the way my body/mind is SOO hyper attuned to all#sensory information just makes it like... constantly 'GRR well I cant focus on WRITING right now because my lef#t ear feels weird and my socks are too itchy and my back has a strange pressure and I'm vaguely warm and my eye feels some ssort of#way it doesnt normally feel and I'm hyperaware of my breathing and also nauseous for no reason' and like half of those things I#think '''normal''' people wouldnt even notice or at least would be able to just live through. but for me it's like.. nealry impossible to i#gnore and soooo distracting always. like 'wahh.. nooo we can't draw or get anything done.. my legs feel slightly heavy or something!!'#like............. ok......... who cares. thats not even a PAIN sensation it's just something weird. but it's just like.. NO. constant#mental alerts about the 'heaviness' of your legs be upon ye. Though Imean like.. yes.. 70% of the time I am in genuine pain#or having some sort of actual ailment with trackable physical symptoms. but sometimes it's just like... we could totally be working right#now and ignoring this silly thing but my brain is fixated on it for no reason uncontrollably. etc. etc. I guess it's the same way that like#most people can go to a grocery store without the whole experience being so overwhelming and so much stuff going on at once#that they have to rest afterwards but like.. in my own HOME doing NOTHING i feel like I should be able to not get overwhelmed lol. ANYWAY#Rolling my bastard little rock up a dumbass hill and so on and so forth

are you catholic? i wouldn't have said so
anon 😭😭 i'm not trying to make fun of you and i'm taking this as a compliment actually but i don't know how to tell you this... i'm literally italian 😭
but seriously, i've grown up catholic yeah, but i don't believe in god and haven't taken part in anything religious in many years. i would say i'm like culturally catholic tho. and technically still catholic to the eyes of the church bc baptism and all that
#not all italians are catholic obviously so fairs but i'm a white italian there's like a pretty high chance here#this made me laugh at first bc i feel like you can't really go on my blog and not notice i'm italian which kinda means i'm likely catholic#but yeah#actually have a complicated relationship with faith that summing it up here would be hard 😭😭😭#not in a religious trauma way even if i can't say it was a fun experience to grow up trans and gay and hear the shit catholics say about#people like me. and all that#but like i have prayed recently even if i'm not religious. i think if it helps other people who are religious that i pray for or with them#then it's a pleasure to do it. kinda hard to explain but i believe praying helps even if i don't believe in any entity you pray to#like i think it helps me too in a weird way. like it helps me when other people pray for me. i'm glad to know if they do#i guess the thing is that to me religion is community and i believe so much in the importance of community so i will gladly partecipate in#other people's religion to be close to them and to understand them better and also to feel some of what they feel. feel some of their faith#because the truth is that i would love to believe. in any god. or anything spiritual. i wish i had that comfort in my life#but well the reality is that i don't believe and you can't force faith so it is what it is. i tried finding faith before and it didn't work#i said i wouldn't sum it up here then i did sorry 😭😭 there's so much more tho like. for a non religious person i think about religion sm#and i have a great appreciation for it - then we can get into Organised Religion Problems territory and i will have lots to say too#but religion itself is like one of the most beautiful thing humanity has imo#ok i'll shut up#asks#anon

the suyeol lore is so crazy
#their relationship is so interesting to me like aoughhhh#like you see subaek and even tho they don't talk a lot on camera (most of the time) those two get along so well#they understand and respect each other so much they take their job very seriously and they're actually good friends as a result#suyeol on the other hand is 12 years of slowburn like it's crazyyyyy#you admire him and believe in him like no one else does and then you discover that he isn't that great actually#so you get disappointed and distance yourself and then you both are in this weird limbo for years as you grow up#and slowly but surely you rediscover how your relationship works because both of you are adults now and now we're here#like yeah suhito was stressed back then the context was not great for a leader AND tao was still with exo so lmao pcy could fend for himself#so i get ittttt they were going through it but. i need to know what he said to pcy like oh my god was it really that bad 😭#i wonder if they've ever mentioned it 🤔#writing this bc i just remembered that one time they had to describe e/o and suho was like#“you're my cute dongsaeng i admire your talents so much and oh btw you're not uncomfortable around me these days right? uwu”#LIKE ??? KING YOU CAN'T SAY THAT AND LEAVE US IN THE DARK#(<- they totally can it's not our business lmao)#idolization to tentative ''''enemies'''' to coworkers to friends to good friends is crazy#i need to look into this properly omg let's do some research#anyways i want a subunit :) they can be called exo sc too sehun won't mind bc these are like his favorite people in the world!!!#idk i find the exos and their bond so interesting because you truly have it all with them there's a whole spectrum of friendships#and i appreciate that it's not like with b*s & taegi (if you don't know who they are... let's keep it that way <3)#because those two were just too different to get along. it was extreme. but bighit forced it so much it was painful to see sometimes#and then the hawaii trip came and they painted it like a ''see? after this trip they get along so well now <3'' moment#1. girl let's be serious for a sec 😐 and 2. it's not our business!!!!! focus on making good music!!!!!#i'm so glad exo didn't have to go through something like that bc i just know that they'd have disbanded by now sjfsifjsk#the saranghaja sprite isn't that intense we lovr freedom of choice (keeping in mind that they were under sm) <33333#so YEAH. can you guys tell i can't sleep hehe :)#dara.t#suho and chanyeol

unpopular opinion?? maybe?
Matt & Ivy have a really interesting dynamic!! both pre- and post-canon!! with or without romantic undertones!! either reciprocal or one-sided!!
and obviously it has to be handled with a particular level of care/respect BUT I think if we allowed them enough grace there is space to explore a really interesting possibility for that relationship.
#obviously Matt is not ENTITLED to Ivy - im absolutely not saying that at all#and he definitely did a lot of things extremely wrong and Ivy doesn’t HAVE to forgive him - she doesn't even have to *like* him#and in many stagings she actually doesn’t at all! even pre-canon she isn't into him on a *platonic* level - which i love for her#but I also think that - misguided & clumsy about it though he was - Matt is genuinely trying his best to see her as a person.#an idealized version of a person yes. but a person nonetheless.#which is what Ivy wants from Jason (and tbf he sees her as a person also but it’s an obviously different situation)#and while you can't force romantic compatibility (that was like. the whole point.) in some versions of the show they're not-quite-dating#- in varying types of “situationship” with varying levels of commitment. so it's not insane to me to say hey#maybe they need time to stabilize themselves and figure out who they are again after the events of the show. but maybe a couple years -#- down the line they reconnect and they're both in a better place & maybe this time it can all work out.#idk I think I just see a lot of people write it off entirely - and they’re well within their rights to do so don’t get me wrong#but I don’t think it’s fair necessarily to put them in the ‘doomed to fail’ category#wow okay I care about them as a pair more than I realised#tldr; give Matt & Ivy and their relationship dynamic the grace + complexity they deserve#mouse talks bapo#bare a pop opera#Ivy Robinson#Matt Lloyd#[as a side note - sometimes I think about queer Matt & transmasc Ivy & the interesting concept of their potential boyfriendism]
