I think a lot about Leo’s tendency to push his way into the spotlight despite clearly being a natural in the shadows. Hell, you could argue that his worst moments are when he’s forcing himself onstage, and his best are when he does things no one notices until it’s already been done.

#WHERES THE FIC AT IF SOMEONE WRITES THIS I WILL PAY THEM A HUNDRED DOLLARS😭😭#kunikida serving the country while dazai's serving cunt😔#dazai was born to malewife but forced to manipulate and i think that's the greatest tragedy of bsd #anyway some facts i would like to share abt this au thay i came up w while drawing!!#takes place in 1939 (start of wwii) and there was a mandatory draft that required one male over eighteen from each house to serve #both of them are still twenty two and had been engaged for abt two years before getting married that year #newlyweds! unfortunately kuni had to go fight and they were seperated :(#before the war kunikida was a math teacher at the local high school and dazai obviously managed the household and didn't work #he's hopeless at cooking and meal prep even w recipie books so they either get those prepackaged meals or kuni makes dinner when he gets ba #so like when he's making lunch for kunikida he normally just packs a basic sandwich w raw fruit #kunikida always appreciates the effort even tho hes probably sick of having the same thing everyday but he won't complain abt it #when kunikida joined the army he was relieved that the mess hall had better food than dazai #he was the only one in his platoon that never complained abt the food so his fellow soldiers assumed it was bc he came from a tough bg #when in reality he was just used to being poisoned on a daily basis from his dumbass husbands cooking and was hardly fazed from army ration #they write to each other although its more dazai sending and kuni receiving bc hes off fighting and doesnt have time to write back #dazai talks abt life on the homefront and how he has to grow a victory garden (everything is DYING HE CANT EVEN RAISE TOMATOES)#and kuni writes abt his fellow soldiers and how the war is going and when he thinks he'll be home and how he misses sleeping in a bed #ANYWAY yea thought i'd share sry for infodumping in the tags again #this post is for like the four ppl that care abt this specific flavor of knkdz so hopefully this gets four notes at least #bungou stray dogs #bungo stray dogs #dazai osamu #osamu dazai #kunikida doppo #doppo kunikida #kunikidazai #knkdz #lotus draws #bro sry for posting at two in the morning i couldnt sleep until i got this out of my head they have infested my brain

#morrowind #almalexia #the elder scrolls #tes #tes fanart #art #id in alt #ok that's all the tags this needs ANYWAY #i started this 1. for experimenting with coloring from dark to light #2. because i wanted to draw someone kind of back turned to the camera #3. rendering practice for hair particularly #4. to go from sketch to rendering rather than doing lines to see if that doesn't smooth out my workflow a bit #5. because i've never actually used this brush past flat coloring #and out of those 1. i don't think i had enough of an idea of the palette or process to jump into dark to light painting so i did scrap that #and go with my usual “flat color with one of the mid shadow tones add shadows add light”#i do think that painting from shadows out is a thing people do digitally i just think this wasn't the drawing to test it on for me #i think i'd need to look at some other peoples processes and start with a more fleshed out idea of where to go #2 and 3 i think worked out. i'm gradually figuring hair out which i think is sick #4 i also think worked out for me which is also sick because i do get caught on lines a lot. they're fun sometimes but i think some drawings #benefit better from not having them and that it might be a bit faster #and of course everything i do is so that i can draw slightly faster and better for next artfight #as for 5. i have mixed feelings on this brush but that might be because i hate change. and also because i started this drawing on the 15th #of november and finished it yesterday. so im kind of just sick of working on and looking at it #it was a valuable learning experience and i think it came out well! i am also going to drop to my knees and rejoice when i can finally #close this file out and free medibang paint from under it so i can work on Literally Anything Else #thank you almalexia for being my test subject i should've used a reference for your armor when i did the sketch but i didn't #maybe the crown looks weird because of it maybe it doesn't. not my problem anymore i can draw other elves again #my art #iiii think i forgot a my art tag last time

I still havent felt much back to normal since #I got really sick that one time though. But I have been assured by people I've talked to about it that they can GENUINELY really see #stuff in their heads like as vivid as an actual picture in real life or something. And the other senses are neat too. Like for exmaple I #can hear in my head much better than I can see imagery. I still CANNOT hear vividly like as if I were listening to actual music out loud..#but I think it's developed more than my sight. AND interesting how this varies the creative process. a friend I was talking to on the phone #said they write by literally just watching stuff play before them like a movie. where my process is COMPLETELY different. AND that affects #the content/what details we focus on as well as our individual styles of writing have differences that can be traced back to that.. hrmm

Reminder: even if trump wins, we’ll be ok. The presidency isnt the only political position that matters, he wont be a dictator, the president doesnt have the power to remove every other part of government that keeps the president’s power in check. Also politics isnt the only thing that matters. Even if we lose some rights (which he cant singlehandedly do) we still have community, we still have activism, we’ll always be ok. We survived one trump presidency, we can survive another. We survived before gay marriage or transitioning were legal, if we have to survive that again we will. Please, no matter what happens, promise to stay alive. Youre valuable, youre important, and youre going to be ok. Its better to be overprepared than underprepared. Im not asking you to lose hope (im doing the opposite of that), im asking you to practice coping ahead, get all your coping skills ready, determine now to stay alive, because i dont want any of you to make any rash decisions later in case we get bad news and emotions are high. Make a safety plan if you need to. Make sure you’re gonna be ok

I think I'm in the "conscious incompetence" stage of being a social animal in the real world and it sucks so majorly. bro what do you do after you realize you're bad at socializing and then in-person interaction gets harder because you know you're failing at it now.

I'll change faster if im kinder to myself #also I think seeking reassurance from the people I'm around more often even if it seems silly would be good #ALSO. a major problem I'm facing is that I am living with my parents. and my little sisters. and I don't... #fuecoco #i gotta say i didn't really care for this thing at first. it was one of my least favorite starters right next to grookey when it was first #revealed. and normally i'm a big fan of fire starters. but this guy didn't do it for me #and this design still doesn't‚ but i do appreciate skeledirge. it's very cool‚ i love the fire hat and the día de los muertos design #it really feels like tpc have been going all out on making pokémon that Fit The Region since gen 8 #which is pretty cool. i like it. and i definitely think paldea has some very fun vibes. but i dunno if i'd say it's one of my favorite #regions pokémon-wise or layout-wise. it was their first shot at open world‚ and i think it shows #the older regions with more limitations definitely shone more because they worked better in those limitations #paldea just feels like a big open empty sandbox at times. which is fun to explore‚ but doesn't feel too civilized compared to something #like… unova. where there's a city on every fuckin route corner and they're all so full of life and personality #like i could not remember any of the paldea town themes for the life of me. i can remember their names for the most part #but that's basically just because the facilities that get used a lot are spread out between them. for example: i remember medali #specifically because it's where i go to change a pokémon's tera type. i remember mesagoza because it's the main hub city #i remember levincia because of the posters. i remember montenevera because i think the hyper training guy is there #but not because like. i remember driftveil because YAAAAAAAAAAAAA #y'know. even galar had a better region design than paldea #that's not to say i think paldea is BAD. like i'm not a scarlet/violet hater like every other pokémon “fan” on the internet #i've put like 200+ hours into that fuckin game. i still LIKE it. but my heart still holds a soft spot for kalos and the like

#ramblings of a lunatic #dc comics #damian wayne #dick grayson #ITS JUST NOT THE SAME MAN #idk i was reading nightwing must die (again...) bc i was in a funk and saw another post saying how fans exaggerate the closeness btwn them #and on the one hand i get it. there is a very rosy portrayal of their relationship you'll come across in fanon #and they weren't very close at the beginning of their relationship #but man. reading Nightwing must die again was like #YES they fight. damian instigates it and while dick tries to exercise patience he does fight back/lash out on occasion #but despite all that it's still emphasized how important the two are to each other #when dick is forced to picture a future where he's lost his way he pictures damian being the one to bring him back #not necessarily bc damian is his favorite person on the planet but bc he gave damian robin. for a lot of practical reasons-#-but also bc how far damians come is (i think at least based on this arc) a testament to dick that hes doing Something right #both as a hero/person #damian is more than just a burden saddled on him (although there's an element of that in their batman and robin run)#he's also a last remaining connection to bruce when he's gone (remembering where he comes from) AND he's training damian+#-his own way! with a dash of tough love and workaholic spirit inherited but also a lot of patience and focus on being More than the darkness #idc what ppl say nightwing must die makes sense for these two. its a retcon but one that works imo #that dick buried his head in the sand about how much damian meant/the responsibility he had to him bc it was a commitment he was afraid of #and how damian ultimately was a point of maturation for dick even if he went back to being Nightwing #they were SO goddamn close and now they're still close but only in ways that are implied #and their bond is deemphasized in comparison to each others bond w/ say bruce. which i think is a shame #it was a wrinkle! a fun wrinkle that the batfamily had that in some ways dick understood damian better than Bruce-#-even if he didn't feel like he could handle the responsibility of raising him full time #it kills me that bc of the n52 we never got the handover of the batman mantle (and damian) from dick to bruce #next nightwing writer...include a flashback to that moment AND have damian appear in the book in present....AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!#anyway. dick is damians brother but also damian a little bit imprinted on him like a baby duck and its rubbed off on dick #they're partners they're mentor mentee but most importantly they were batman and robin. and they were the greatest #NOT bc it was all peaches and roses but bc they cared for each other exponentially despite all that

Also hey I wanna say too that pretty much every single headcanon ever is valid. Even if they aren’t popular, even if they go against canon, even if they change on the regular and make for a throughly transformative work.

I think fandom is supposed to be fun and honestly it just acts like a toybox of sorts? With all these malleable characters as action figures that you play with as you like. If you wanna make them bigger or smaller or change their species or what they present as or how they sound or even act - you can! You can and you should!

Have fun, because you’ll inevitably find others who like what you do too. And even if you don’t, as long as you like it, then that’s what matters.

#this is something I’m saying partially to myself too #personally I have a huge problem of wanting to ‘justify’ my headcanons #where I do my damndest to ‘prove’ that what I headcanon is possible in canon #because it personally makes me feel much better and less anxious #but it’s something I gotta move past because sometimes rule of fun is better than canon justification #I still personally prefer to keep close to canon or within the realm of canon for my works #but I think I’ll stop trying to justify every little thing and just have a little more fun with it #but yeah saying right now that even if it’s not my personal cup of tea or something I headcanon myself #I will still fight for people’s right to have fun with these toy box action figures #is there an argument to be made of ‘at some point these characters just become OCs’? yeah but…who cares?#idk this was mostly something for myself to keep in mind but in light of recent events #I think I’ll post it too #also wanna say - don’t attack others for their headcanons #if you don’t like it then block them #remember that there are real people here that you could hurt okay?#the way they connect with a character will inevitably be different than you

seeing the typical jelloapocalypse defenders "oh my god you guys are being so sensitive it's just satire" and like

first of all, you keep using that word. it doesn't mean what you think it means

second, no it fucking isn't - satire is funny. he's not. satire is poking fun and stretching the truth for laughs, any fucking discussion he's had about any of the stupid videos he's made makes it very clear he believes every fucking stupid remark he's making and unsubtly hiding behind Schrodinger's Douchebag using that stupid fucking voice he does (which is also the only joke he knows how to make and it was funnier in Battleblock Theater, the game he stole it from). on top of that, he's going beyond 'satire' by making parasocial attacks on the creatives involved because he's a bitter shithead who's jealous that other people are successful when he isn't because his overinflated ego has convinced him he's the smartest, most talented and specialest creative on the planet and everyone else is doing it wrong, an attitude that got him blacklisted from two studios this year and is likely the reason he's gone back to a series he'd previously made a big stink about not wanting to do anymore because no one cares about any of the other garbage he's made

#there's no 'good faith' when you're randomly making character attacks on people you don't know with zero backing #hbomb does the exact same shit - in his rwb/y review he relentlessly dogs on Miles and Kerry for no other reason than to make them look bad #it's beyond just criticism of creators for how they handle the works they make - it's spurious value judgments on people they do not know #because of some parasocial obsession they have with needing to prove they're better than them #and both of them also make similarly spurious value judgments on the audiences of the media they hate on #it's all cynical bitter and mean-spirited bad faith whining and i'm sick of that getting a free pass
