#image described #this is so cute 😭#i love this pose and i LOVE the execution of it here #the positioning of their heads their posture the way their bodies are sort of turned in towards each other all really get across #the comfortability with each other #the way crumb (whose name i love also. not the focus but i think its worth saying)'s legs are posed + something about the angle #ilves is standing at vs. the angle his head is turned #adds a nice liveliness #it 1. avoids being stiff and 2. makes them seem so happy to see each other #this drawing is so sweet. characters showing affection number one!!! thing of all time!!!!#their smiles are also very good in both the 1. very sweet and 2. well drawn senses #also the hair here #both in that ilves' looks like its actually being pushed up by crumb's arm in that way that hair moves And the shading on crumb's #particularly catches my eye. kudos to you in the 'won at gladiatorial combat' sense yellow is a battle to shade #and you've done it and done it well #also the texture in the brush(es?) used for the shading ooou... i wanna say rough papery but i'm not sure. looks good though #delightful work op #art

I'M BACK #anyway. the halftones in the lighting look good #the way he interacts with the background as well i had a whole paragraph on that #and i'll have a whole paragraph on it again #the parts of him interacting with the ground Feel like they're touching the ground. the way he's lifting his arm Feels like #he's lifting his arm. there's weight to how he's laying which is i think where the tension i mentioned is coming from #in that he feels like a character who can move here rather than just being posed #(though he is well posed. big fan of the way his fingers are in particular. also feels correct for cicero characterization)#(he would hold his hand like that)#plus the bounce lighting coming off of him and onto the floor grounds him in the background and makes it feel more like one #cohesive scene #and also the floor looks good. i talked a lot about that floor.#it's well detailed the cracks look really good #the big cracks in particular sort of take you around the image in a similar way to how the light draws attention to his face #the big one on the left draws attention to his hat and his hair and then the big one on the right takes you right between #his face the flower and his arm #the contrast in the light and shadow here i also just like in general #the dagger also looks really good. it and the floor aren't the focus but damn it they're pulling their weight to bring this all together #i think that what it is about you and drawing badass characters holding flowers is that you have a gift for it #art #skyrim #cicero

#image described #oh this is delightfully well done #the colors feel so clean and complete both in palette and amount of detail #the blue lines in the orange hair... greenish highlight on the belt buckle... nodding emoji #and! if i'm looking right #the bells in shadow being less saturated rather than particularly darker than the ones in the light #strikes me as an interesting choice and also one that works incredibly well for this piece #then there's the shapes of the shadows and the bounce light and highlights #i am zoomed IN on that glove (the one on the ground). the flat > lighter color > shadow > lighter shadow > bounce light???#good god what a treat for the eyes #i could look at this all day and even if i were just focusing on the coloring i don't think i'd get bored once #but i'm not just focusing on the coloring Hello linework #also has an absolutely delicious balance of detail #i particularly like the mix of colored lines and flyaways that break out of the lines in the hair #feels nicely blended together #The coloring on the hair is also So good. and the highlights on the blood on his hands. op your coloring is insane #sorry i'm obsessed. ok #the pose here i'm a big fan of and the execution of it especially #the way all the fabric sits (i'm obsessed with the fabric here too make no mistake) the weight his body has to it #like there's a very specific kind of tension in his shoulders that feels Correct for cicero characterization #it feels like he's in the middle of a big exhale #not to mention your style in general hello? the way you drew his face?#those are such lively shapes. and the eyebrows/lashes and lips!#both an expressive style and one with a lot of personality #and also the textures pull things together so nicely #like this has gotta be one of my favorite usages of these sorts of. not chalky but sort of soft-rough pencily brushes i've seen #fits everything very very well. adds a nice layer to the viewing experience #and theee. halftones? the uniform dots that show up in the lighting? i don't think i've ever seen them used as lighting like this #at least not with a style like this. and it fully has my attention it looks GOOD #with how it draws attention to the flower but also with the subtler appearances by his hair on his clothes etc

Now you may be tempted to look at your calendar after reading that. Fun fact, when I first played Skyrim in 2011, I paired Zath with this obscure marriable NPC, Romlyn Dreth! He may show up waaaay later once we're done with the Oblivion arc and we get into Skyrim (which low key is prob just gonna be a separate "sequel" fic). This is art from months ago that I forgot about, but here it is now.
