Okay guys let’s be real for a minute.

How many times did you do this exact same gesture, thinking you looked too « fat » comparing to the other girls ?

How many times did you look at yourself and thought « nobody sees me, why am I even here » ?

How many times did you feel like you were judged by all the others on a party and/or just wanted to disappear ?

For a lot of people it’s just another season of Bridgerton. For you and I, it’s a lot more than that.

seriously though nothing can stop me from interpreting Real Life as canon just for how it progresses the canary curse situation. i'm obsessed with it. the curse gets broken in secret life and then in the very next "series", as much of a joke as it is, you get a situation like THAT. jimmy enters a mineshaft and everyone but him dies. not just his team, though obviously it's more significant because they were all red, but ren/martyn/skizz all get a mineshaft-death apiece. that canary's not doing his job anymore. he escaped his cage and made a break for the surface and everyone else is paying the price for it, and i for one could not be more proud of that little bird.

I love how extreme found family is in one piece. Like they took supernatural line of "Family don't end in blood" and actually made good on it. Because it's not just that the crew found each other even before that only really very briefly Robin, Usopp and Luffy could say that anyone biologically related to them raised them.

Like Luffy had Garp and that's his grandpa but he also had Makino and Shanks and the red hair pirates and they were a family unit and he also had Ace, Sabo Dandan and the bandits and they were a family as well and it's never who mattered more to Luffy or who actually raised him cause they all did. It'd be hard to put him in a nuclear family structure because so many people fill the same roles in his life in different ways and that's great like Kung Fu panda said "that doesn't mean less for one parent it just means more for Luffy"

And that's the thing I think sometime fandom can get very obsessive with trying to pin down who is whose surrogate father/mother how do they fit in the nuclear family structure and while that's fun and there's nothing wrong with head cannon characters that way I also think it's important to remember that not every relationship needs a title or definition sometimes you are just family and that's valid too.

Ace had Luffy and Garp but he also had the whitebeard pirates and his pops same with Sabo and the revolutionaries

Zoro with Kuina and his old kendo master, that was maybe more of a rivals, mentor mentee relationship than whatever Mihawk Zoro and Perona had going on but it's all family none the less.

Chopper with Hiririluk and Kureha. Perona and Moria, Usopp with the little village boys and Kaya. Shanks and Buggy with the Roger Pirates. They might not all have had defined roles with each other but it was still family.

Just like Sanji, Nami, Franky and Law and their more defined Surrogate familes

And people like Vivi Robin Usopp and Shirahoshi who had/have their biological parents/family that love them and raised them.

It's nobody that I've just mentioned properly fitting squarely into any of these categories because it's all complicated family is complicated and its messy and it's big and everyone in your family might not have even met but it's family and it doesn't end in blood and for some people it never started there either.

just thinking about trent having an embarrassing twitter account that's like, idk, priv and/or just like an anonymous jokey account sort of thing and it regularly tweets things like "The weighted blanket is not enough. i need a man to lay on top of me horizontally and crush me to death. lovingly." and "Just made finger guns at my crush instead of doing what I intended to do, which was apologize. I think maybe I should be shot into the sun?" and "Sorry for being rude. I got anxious and scared. It will happen again" and "'Not all men' you're right. Ted Lasso would never do this to me" <- everyone assumes that's a general celebrity crush/just a joke about a famously really nice guy and like, coach beard actually likes/retweets it so it goes mildly viral and trent is like. This Is Fine. most people assume that this account is run by like, a female tumblr user in her late twenties. no. this is a middle-aged single father and no one realizes this until he tweets something like "My ex-wife just set me up with a man who looks exactly like my straight crush, but worse. You know, because she's evil, and also the funniest person alive. anyway guess who i ran into on the date" or "i am a single middle-aged father and i only JUST NOW found out i have autism. My parents knew when I was three." which is then updated by "WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY EX WIFE KNEW TOO" (she thought it was kind of a given) only to confuse them again when he mentions that time he was pregnant

Hardie boys are clearly very fond of her. Even when you're being blasted by her pale latitude compressor, it's hard not to like her at least a bit. She tested it on herself first! The Half-Light reaction of sympathetic fear to Klaasje's accusations, and then Drama cutting in to point out that the fear isn't to do with Ruby, it's the fear of being arrested that Klaasje is feeling. Her first response, out of fear of the RCM and the Moralintern, is to use the presumed biases and homophobia of these RCM officers as leverage to pin the blame on Ruby, even as nearly every other scrap of information you can collect describing Ruby's personality contradicts it.

honestly you would think Rayleigh gave birth to shanks the way they are just exactly the same person right down to their alcoholism, penchant for scheming love of sandals and other generally horrible fashion items.

In a world where Mihawk meets Shanks first, he later goes to challenge old man Rayleigh and it all starts to click into place. like "oh you're the reason I'm stuck with that" point to Shanks wearing an outfit a pattern blind person put togther.

Jonathan is very aware of the game Dracula is playing here. It's just like the wolves on the way to the castle (and in fact the way he wards the vampire ladies off is a direct echo of the gesture he used then): he presents himself and the places he has prepared for Jonathan as a welcome escape from greater and more uncontrolled/immediate dangers lurking in wait just outside. Jonathan fell for this trick that first night. He was glad to be inside rather than left alone in the cold and dark with howling wolves, despite his hesitance, and he let Dracula make him feel better. And doing so left him trapped inside this prison.

Now, he's well aware of what is happening, and doesn't want to fall for it again - yet in a way, he has no choice but to do so. The vampire ladies are an immediate and intense danger, but Dracula can keep them away. All Jonathan has to do is rely on him once again. In terms of movements, it restricts him more fully to the places Dracula has already set aside for him. That's bad enough, because those places are secure against escape already, so his prisoner status is even more solidified.

But the much greater danger here is what it might do to him mentally/emotionally. Jonathan knows he has no choice but to look to Dracula for safety, but he can't dwell on the thought without feeling like he's going mad. Because he knows just as well that he will only ever be 'safe' with Dracula so long as the Count wants, so long as he does exactly what the Count asks of him. He's so afraid at the thought that Dracula's hold over him will grow. He's already so smart and charming when he wants to be, manipulative and clever and sadistic. He's already playing at friendship and Jonathan has to doubt everything he says. Except now he finds himself having to doubt his own doubt, too, because maybe some warnings will be genuine. Maybe it will be better for him not to fight so hard against Dracula. Except if he stops doing that, he'll never stand any chance in the long run - but if he keeps trying so hard he'll never get to the long run.

He's completely trapped, and fully aware of it.

Zuko realizing that he's strictly into men, which has been criminalized in the Fire Nation for at least a century. Zuko thinking that he has to be in an unhappy marriage with someone he's completely uninterested in and produce an heir with her, even though the thought of conceiving a child with a woman makes him sick. Thinking that his only other option is to spend his life alone. No man could love or desire him - why would they think him worth the trouble?

Zuko being kissed by Sokka, gently at first, then deepened when Zuko's shock starts to wear off. Zuko finally feeling like someone finds him worthy of affection. Finally feeling right. Finally feeling like someone actually wants him. Actually cares for him. Finally a feeling of peace and acceptance.
