Hey. Promise you’ll still like me after May 27th-May 28th ish where my queue goes into a mortifying tail spin of me being insane about some little man. You have to promise.

im not even near my period and i teared up about this imagining a governess in love w her mistress and devoted to her... i have to tell myself sternly that agatha christie never heard of lesbians and that wasnt what was going on here... but by the way by this stage of the book we've had this event described to us by other characters who are men and who remarked just on how beautiful mrs crale looked in this hat but only the governess knew that she wore it to hide that she'd been crying.

i never know the exact specifics of dazais ability but i sometimes see the idea that he needs to nullify the source of the ability for it to stop working which from this panel seems to not be the case

bruh idk what's the damage on all those spiteful writers who have to have a twist ending and change shit at the last minute when people guess what's going on. when someone speculates about an upcoming twist or catches on to what I've been doing I light up like the fucking vegas strip at dusk

Do you have any headcanons for murder trio sexualities and or genders?
hmmm hmm ngl in my head the genders for the trio doesn't matter. like to me they're just living skeletons. a bunch of agender little shits and besides to me the gender doesn't matter much in their stories nor in the stories i imagine in my head or in any of my interpretations so unless otherwise specified (like in jk fashion au. theyre girls there solely because i love women and i want my trio to wear cute clothes that they wouldn't canonically wear. theres just a sweet charm to girls wearing cute clothes loving and laughing with other fellow girls. jk fashion au my beloved) theyre just a bunch of skeleton freaks. they COULD use any pronouns but i only use he him for all three because of sheer convinence. the trio would use any pronouns wear any sort of clothes and do whatever the fuck they want with gender and i would support them like the worlds biggest ally because i simply love them so
amd then sexuality uhhhh i think horror would be bi. because i saw that one horrortale wedding soriel art and even though i dont quite care for soriel SAS art is SAS art. so bi horror it is. also i dont think he'd give two flying fucks about romance and stuff like that. he simply would not look at dust and be like "let's go on a date beautiful". because he just wouldn't thats not who he is. horror would instead drag dust to a shooting range with no warning and they do that with no mentions of it being a date. thats what makes more sense to me. and with the way that his body is probably totally brittle and frail and SOMEHOW skinny for a skeleton (??????) he'd probably take a long ass time to ever warm up to someone to do the do. demisexual because i said so. dust on the other hand is the reverse for me. there is NO WAY in my head i can imagine dust looking at like killer or something (and not just because he hates him) and think smash. he just absolutely would never never never never dust is a hardcore asexual. HARD(like me)core ace. and then like horror with all his bullshit insecurities and fears and mental issues he'd take a long time to ever accept romance from anyone or be romantically interested in anyone. all of the mtt on the ace spectrum because i said so. and killer? you just be killer. just kidding i dont think he would give a shit either way. killer is the most neutral neutral when it comes to romance or intimacy since like. neither of them provide ANYTHING for him. there is no point to him. he just goes with the flow of whatever horror and dust want because he's a follower like that (LOSER!!!!)
anyways my opinions on this topic have not changed in forever. all sanses ngl are agender to me (unless gender plays a big role in their lore or something but i dont think stuff like that does in any of the majorly popular ones) and i blast the mtt with the aroace ray because i can and because i want to and because i feel like they would. all my opinions on this can literally just be taken from the top 1/4 of this one ship chart i filled out like a month or two ago

So I'm really into genealogy and have been for a few years now and I'm blessed with being really good with names and dates etc. So in conversation I can remember like a ridiculous amount of:
Jane Doe Smith Johnson
b. 1805 Tennessee d. 1879 Missouri
Married 1828 to John Patrick Johnson. Had five children. Died of TB
Etc etc
And that's cool enough apparently but I've mostly been using it for
A. Making up bullshit but real sounding names for stuff (i.e my name is Emily Stewart, Grace Kolár, etc). The point is that they're normal sounding and varied.
B. Having a bizarre frame of reference for historical events. Like "oh [small town],[state] 1942 had [random] event happen? My 1st cousin 4x removed got married there that year, small world!"
It's so dumb, like I'll read about some historical event from my area (where I've had family in the vicinity of since the 1840s) and I'll link up the time frame in my head and be like hmm... I wonder what 3rd great aunt Helen thought about that happening next door to her church.

oxenfree is a really fun video game to play when you're dense as hell and can't puzzle solve for shit. I'm on my fifth loop and I'm still just mashing "BE NICE TO CHARACTER" dialogue options over and over while crying and hoping SOMETHING will click in my cobweb brain if I just hear the same dialogue a twelvtheleventh time. sincerely most fun and immersive timeloop simulator of all time

Ah! Is it a floor or window AC? Mine was also leaking. Usually the machine will vent out hot/humid air after cooling and dehumidifying the room, but the screen in front of the fans were dusty and full of cat and dog fur... Cleaned it and it stopped leaking nearly as much.
it's a floor unit. i have a feeling the cold setting also dehumidifies at the same time, but the person at home depot seemed shocked by that and i definitely don't pretend to know more than them. thanks for the advice! there are like 8 different problems with the unit, i'm just trying to solve them one at a time to see if the other are worth solving

s1 of true detective has its own share of misogyny but at the very least, there’s a thread throughout it that not treating the women in your life with respect leads to those women not wanting to be around you. marty consistently views women & girls as either in need of protection or in want of sex rather than as complex people, & the story punishes him for this. maggie leaves him & his daughters barely talk to him & his girlfriends are few & far between. & this doesn’t make him a bad person! he’s the hero of the story & he cares incredibly deeply about them, but until he sees them as people, it’s hard for them to want to be around him. it’s a baseline understanding that misogyny, both systematically & on personal levels, leads to women being miserable.
compare that with s2, which somewhat builds itself around conversations of sexual agency & exploitation, but cannot define a single woman outside of her relationship to men. women are abused by men & must be saved by them; when women help themselves they do so ineffectively; they scream & cry & fuck & even then men know how to do it better. even ani, the main character & the Strong Badass Woman detective, is punished for having sex. she cannot protect herself or process her own sexual trauma (only men can help her do that), & she cannot make good decisions in terms of partners (& it's only fair that men degrade & shame her in response.) the only way she, & any other woman in s2, can be happy is through marriage or motherhood. she expresses nowhere in the show that she wants to be a mother, but the viewer is meant to accept her ending as happy, because she has a baby, so she MUST be. the only women who matter, or who can find any sort of contentment, are the mothers of sons. every child in s2 is a boy because women exist only to raise or fuck them, & have no experience of girlhood at all. you can be happy only if you find a good man, & if you can't, only if you commit yourself to being a good mother to your sons. women can only be happy with men to guide them. & also the mystery is boring to watch because fuck you

I think it’s very silly when murder mysteries make their little detective people have basically psychic powers and this is partially why I like psych. The best murder mystery to ever do this very sillyly is psych.
the best media to ever exist. I take no criticism I’m sure there’s technically better but something something Im sorry I’ve never had a 3 month long mental breakdown from lack of sleep because any other show suddenly got removed from all platforms and I had no way to watch it about any other show so like. Objectively the best to me. In my heart.
I’m very tired now so I’m gonna go put on episode 5 of season 2 and down the track comes murder in which a jockey is killed and they must prove the innocence of their childhood bully just as I have every night for the past 5 months because I am extremely allistic.

disco update: we learned about the pale! entropy is here and it is real and it is a maelstrom of nothingness slowly eating the earth. the isolas are not (as i assumed) islands or continents, they are the shrinking safe patches within the pale. and you can shoot planes through it but it dissolves the passengers' minds. incredible. i love it.
also got some title talk - "elysium ... the world needs a term of endearment". i'm curious whether we're going to actually see disco in this setting - so far it seems like the writing just assumes the audience understands it.
we also died from knocking on a door. and had we not decided to go to the pharmacy before calling people on kim's radio, we would have died immediately again from talking to the doctor. however we have now acquired a thought that heals us when we kick things (have almost filled our thought cabinet!) so hopefully we're gonna be safe now lol

was wondering why i kept feeling tired and generally Bad. then i realized the amount of natural sunlight ive gotten in the past fortnight can be measured in minutes (like 15 minutes a day at most, including "sitting with my back to a closed window"), and remembered that vitamin D is a thing that exists.
Spent the next hour sitting outside on a rock.

Delightfully (?) flirting by being hilariously bad at telling time:
Isabella Thorpe 🤝 Mary Crawford
“We have been exactly a quarter of an hour here,” said Edmund, taking out his watch. “Do you think we are walking four miles an hour?”
“Oh! do not attack me with your watch. A watch is always too fast or too slow. I cannot be dictated to by a watch.” -Mary Crawford, Mansfield Park
...the astonishment of Isabella was hardly to be expressed, on finding that it was too late in the day for them to attend her friend into the house: “Past three o’clock!” It was inconceivable, incredible, impossible! And she would neither believe her own watch, nor her brother’s, nor the servant’s; she would believe no assurance of it founded on reason or reality, till Morland produced his watch, and ascertained the fact; to have doubted a moment longer then, would have been equally inconceivable, incredible, and impossible; and she could only protest, over and over again, that no two hours and a half had ever gone off so swiftly before - Isabella Thorpe, Northanger Abbey
