Allen voran haben es uns die Tafeln von @solkiki_chocolatemaker mit ihren bunten Verpackungen und den ausgefallenen Geschmacksrichtungen angetan 😍 Wie klingt denn "COCONUT - DUNKLE "MILCH"-SCHOKOLADE SALZ-KARAMELL" für euch? Dunkle Kokosmilch-Schokolade und salziges Karamell?! Ja! Und wie lecker das schmeckt 😋 Und das ganz ohne Karamell. Hä? Wie jetzt?! Genau 😉 Der Kakao hat von sich aus Karamell-Noten, die durch eine Prise pinkes Himalaya-Salz richtig gut zur Geltung kommen 😌🥰 Die Kokosnuss bringt sich dabei durchaus harmonisch mit ein und erschlägt einen nicht mit ihrem Aroma, überzeugt aber mit ihrer Cremigkeit. First up, here's @solkiki_chocolatemaker from sunny Dorset run by Iris and Bob. Of course there has to be at least one with coconut for me. Firstly, this bar is definitely not for mindless chewing, and requires some work as it is not as creamy. But the work does pay off - I got rewarded by fresh fruity flavours of green apple and pineapple mixed with deep earthy chocolate taste. Never knew it’s possible to create such freshness in a chocolate. What a unique chocolate bar. Would I buy this again: Yes. Posted @withregram • @chocoloner Solkiki 33% Cranachan - Raspberry, Oats & Whisky White Chocolate Cranachan is a traditional Scottish dessert made with oats, raspberry and a drop of a sweet whisky. I’ve never had it before, but if it tastes even half as good as this bar, I’m all in! I was absolutely blown away by this creation from the future. The chocolate itself was pinkish colour from the raspberries and again super smooth with pieces of candied oats which added interesting texture. The taste was something I want to experience again for sure! It was sweet and fruity, and the oats with whisky added a bit of earthy flavour at the end. You know you’re eating a good white chocolate when it’s from Solkiki, it’s high-quality, honest and creamy, and not at all waxy. The flavours are complex, interesting and every bite is surprising. Hershey & Roald Dahl (author of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”)?! 🤔 . Peruvian cacao, made into chocolate in the UK to be enjoyed in the US…that’s pretty International, right? 🧐 The background colors are representative of the flags of those 3 countries: red & white for 🇵���� + red, white & blue for 🇬🇧 & 🇺🇸 . Award-winning @solkiki_chocolatemaker’s Gran Palo Blanco (Chulucanas, Piura, Peru) 65% dark milk (vegan since it’s made with coconut milk). . Light tobacco followed by cereal/grain-like aroma; toasted bread notes during the melt. This irresistible @solkiki_chocolatemaker vegan white chocolate is one of the most surprising bars I have tasted this year! Also the bar that got the best facial expressions and sounds at tastings😂 . It has an strong aroma of peanut butter ( Dutch pindakaas, not American peanut butter ) and brown butter. Of course there is no dairy at all here but it’s the smell of roasted cocoa butter and vanilla at the same time. The flavor experience is complex and goes from roasted peanuts to salted caramel, while cafe latte shows up with some hopjes candy. The coffee is just one of the many passengers on that ride. It plays with the nuttiness and the vanilla perfectly until the salt kicks in and bring it all towards a more savory treat. The sublime mouthfeel goes almost liquid and the coffee note stays in the finish well after the bar is gone. . And the bar goes. . All. Too. Iris & Bob are dedicated to producing sustainable vegan chocolate sourced as directly as possible from cacao farmers across the world. With more awards than can reasonably be listed, they've earned their reputation as innovators in the bean-to-bar community. This 68% Marañón bar is the first I've tried of their range, and wow, is it a good starting point. With famously rare beans from the Marañón Canyon in Peru, the expectations are high going in. It has a chocolatey aroma with a touch of tomato. From the get-go, this is an eventful bar. Floral honey, green grape and peach fold into burnt brownie edges and a lovely creaminess. Most unique among the notes is a cereal flavour, which joins with the chocolate's aromatic quality to give the impression of delicate basmati rice. It’s not time for Hanami here but I know in some places in Japan it is already wrapping up. Hanami, or cherry blossom viewing was once only open to the ruling classes, but in 1603 it was opened to the public. Cherry blossom trees were planted in religious centers and the tradition spread all across the country. Once newspapers became popular in the 1800s and even up to today Sakura blooming forecasts are published. Hanami is a beloved tradition that for the past two seasons has not been able to happen. Normally people picnic and drink amongst the blossoms. Now you could only walk through the parks. We enjoyed our afternoon snack with mini Sakura Senbei crackers, petite Sakura konpeito candy, red bean takiyaki and sweet Sakura tea (aren’t those blossoms gorgeous?). And of course chocolate. This @solkiki_chocolatemaker cherry leaf tea bar has a single Sakura blossom embedding in the chocolate. It is a 65% dark bar made with Gran Palo Blanco cacao. Sakura is one of the few floral flavours that I actually like. It has a distinctive Sakura scent with a taste of cocoa, black tea and raisins. #Repost @schokomanie with @get_repost ・・・ "Schokolade zur Beruhigung" bekommt hier eine neue Dimension 🪴 Ich stelle vor, Solkikis dunkle Schokolade mit 63% Gran-Nativo-Kakao, CBD- und Olivenöl. Ich kann gleich sagen, dass ich gestern nach dem Essen davon keine "Verhaltensänderungen" hatte, aber ich hab sehr gut geschlafen 😂 (Ich hab auch die halbe Tafel gegessen, und nicht 1/3 wie empfohlen😇) Die hat aber so einiges zu bieten, ich hatte hier nicht so ein besonderes Aroma erwartet wie sie hat. Von der ersten Sekunde an ist diese Schokolade purer Nadelwald 😀 Der Geschmack ist einerseits sehr ölig und hat auf der anderen Seite dieses sehr besondere, starke Aroma von Pinie, wildem Honig, Kräutern und Blumen. Das Ganze geht in eine leichte Zitrussäure über und bekommt fast schon Zitronenschalen-Würze. Es ist einfach nur faszinierend. (Ich mag es immer wenn Schokolade nach etwas ganz anderem als Schokolade schmeckt 😅) Auf ihre eigene Art erfrischend, aber trotz all den waldigen Aromen an keiner Stelle bitter oder zu würzig. Hat noch genug Süße um richtig angenehm zu bleiben, und den Kakao trotzdem komplett im Vordergrund zu lassen. Solide und kräftig. Die Kokosmilch hier in der Schokolade schmeckt man quasi nicht heraus, finde ich, aber schön cremig ist sie. Ein nussiger und kakaoiger Nachgeschmack schließt sich an. Toll für den Feierabend oder liegend im Bett.
