Wukong quickly becomes on3 of the twins' favorite perches. For one thing, that's Wukong-Mama. Sure they don't know much about him but with all the times they've heard Macaque talking about his Peaches and the short interactions they had with Wukong they love him and know how important he is to their adopted dad. He's really, really important and special and Macaque told them they have to keep him safe without letting him know they're keeping him safe when they learned Wukong-Mama was having a baby, so they decide to become his little guard monkeys.
Prev.
In the case of the twins in the SlowBoiled au; they've come into the world by stowing-away on Papa Macaque's revival, as opposed to the Penumbra Au where they are "shadow clones + Wukong dao = babies".
So in the SlowBoiled au; Rumble and Savage have just met Wukong, and already adore him. Wukong is really soft with the pair once he realises that they're little monkeys, and pretty much force-adopts them as his own (as monkeys often do to orphans) and is reluctant to let them return to Macaque.
Pre the end of S3, Macaque has been trying his best with his "weird baby clones" by pretty much stealing supplies and asking Jiuweihuli for help. The Vixen shrieked with joy the first time she saw the twins - reminded of her own twin kits - and helps Macaque revise basic infant care (he had experience babysitting FFM cubs and Jin & Yin but it's been a while).
The presence of the Eclipse Twins in the au accidentally makes the demon world assume Sun Wukong and the Six Eared Macaque had a Parent Trap-style break-up that left Wukong with his Egg and Macaque with the twins. XD
Macaque basically tells the twins to "keep an eye on Wukong"; since in his heart he can't bare hurting Wukong in his delicate state. The Twins take their job very seriously. Perched on Mama's shoulders like a pair of gargoyles. Anyone who gets too close gets bitten (except Gege MK). And if anyone tries touching Wukong's stomach, they're getting mauled. Wukong thinks it's adorable, especially since the "baby clones" chirp and parrot all the things their "Papa" says about Wukong when Mac thinks no one else can hear.
Wukong: "What else did he say?" Rumble, chirping happily: "Mama is the Sun, and Papa is the moon!" Savage: "Papa only shines in Mama's light!" Wukong, blushing and giggling like a teenager: "Oh! That flatterer! He always did love his poetry." Rumble & Savage: "Yes yes!" "Papa loves Mama's poetry too!" "Even if Mama gets scared to tell it." Wukong: (*now a blushing mess, nuzzling the twins' faces*) MK: (*confused cus he's only hearing chirping sounds*)

I warned you >:3
Tumblr media
Gimme your latest snippets!!!!!
Aww, but I have so many!!! 😭😭😭
Hmm… you only get a maximum of 3 snippets per ask. (because I don’t want the post to get too long lol)
#1: Celestial Bodies
I know people were pretty excited about this fic (I am too tbh), so here’s a little snippet for the time being. This takes place after Macaque has fallen into a magical slumber, and he has been locked away in the highest room of Lao Tzu’s tower.
“Lao Tzu. Tell me what you have done.” The wise old god smiled, a proud gleam in his eye. “Oh, I have done much, Your Majesty. That ape won’t be waking, not even if a flock of roosters were to crow at the foot of his bed. No, not even if you were to set flame to his tail! No noise, no light, no pain will stir him from his slumber.” The god stroked his beard as he chuckled gleefully to himself. “Only the strongest of magic could have any chance of rousing him, and I can assure you that none other than you and me possess that power.” However, the Jade Emperor was not completely assured. “And what do you have in the way of his protection? What security do you have in place should Sun Wukong come for him?” Lao Tzu brushed away the emperor’s concern with a lazy wave of his hand. “Fear not. I am well prepared. I have guards patrolling the entirety of my palace, and a handful set aside specifically to guard his chamber. I then took two of the finest lightning dragons from the hatchery and set them to guard the doors of the tower. They will kill any that cross their path, except for me. Should they fail, however,” Lao Tzu scoffed incredulously at the very notion. “Then there is a seal on the door, that no measure of brute force can break through. It will respond only to my touch. And following that, I have cast a cocoon of vines to cover Macaque’s resting place. They are thorned and poisonous, with a toxin that would bring even the strongest celestial soldier to his knees in unbearable, paralyzing agony. Should any demon make it that far, they wouldn’t be able to so much as touch the hem of Macaque’s robes before becoming fully incapacitated.” Lao Tzu puffed up his chest, clearly rather proud of his work. “I worked hard developing that toxin. One drop is enough to stop the hearts of a whole pack of full grown tigers.” The Jade Emperor gave a small nod. Lao Tzu had gone above and beyond, as usual. Should any demons manage to breach Heaven’s gates again, then there was no chance they would reach the Six-Eared Macaque before they were dealt with. No, not even the Monkey King himself would succeed in rescuing the slumbering, star-speckled simian. Sun Wukong would never steal from the Jade Emperor again. “And as a final touch…” From the depths of his sleeve, Lao Tzu pulled out a single red flower petal. “Before I left, I placed a peony in Macaque’s hands.” The Jade Emperor tilted his head, confused. “And what purpose does it serve?” “Oh, nothing serious.” Lao Tzu turned the petal over in his hand, as if studying the fragile little thing. “Tell me, do you know what the red peony represents?” “No,” the Emperor admitted coolly, wondering where exactly the other was going with this. “I do not.” “It represents love. A deep passion and yearning for another person.” Lao Tzu’s smile turned somewhat wicked as he closed his fingers over the flower petal, crumbling it to dust in his palm. “That flower serves as nothing more than a bit of well placed irony. Wouldn’t you agree?”
#2: Stargaze
Next, how about another Stargaze snippet? I had originally picked a different snippet for this, but it was too spoiler-y and added a gore tag and I just figured: ehh, why not give a little bit of Mama Liu instead? Who doesn’t love Mama Liu?
This snippet is short, but that’s because its scene isn’t super planned out yet (even though it happens in the next couple of chapters 😬). It’s just Liu’er getting sick for the first time and his mama comforting him.
“Shhh…” Liu gave a few soft chirps, to which Liu’er responded instinctively, albeit weakly. Liu gently shushed him again, her cool fingers a relief against his burning skin. “Rest, my little star cub. You’ll feel better soon.”
#3: The Last of the Shadows
And lastly, hmm… how about a Last Shadows snippet? My current hyperfixation.
In this snippet, Macaque is one of the monkeys that has been captured by the Demon King of Havoc. 🤭
The little ones were the first to die. The normal monkeys, who didn’t speak the common language or understand what orders were being given. Without an ounce of magic in their bodies, they were useless when it came to doing the back-breaking work that they were all given. Macaque had no idea why any of them had even been taken, other than the Havoc King and his goons must have been too stupid to tell the difference between a plain monkey and a yaoguai monkey. And when it became clear to their captors that the little ones would be of no use, they were taken away, slaughtered, and eaten. “You better be on your best behavior!” One minion sneered between the bars of their cages. “Our king has developed a taste for ape flesh.” Of course, most of them hadn’t taken the threat to heart. They were all hard workers. It wouldn’t make sense to butcher the workforce just for a simple meal. But then the first yaoguai monkey was taken. A female gibbon, with sand-colored fur and dark gray skin and a white face marking. Macaque wasn’t sure of her name—Yuxi, maybe? But he wished he had known more about her before her end. He wished he knew her story, so that he could pass it on, but all he could do was watch and yell in dismay as she was dragged out of the dungeon by a couple of guards, a look of pure terror in her eyes. She didn’t return. But the next morning, her bones were tossed onto the dungeon floor as a warning to the others: keep up with the work, or die.
And that’s it! If you want more, then send another ask for more snippets. 😤 (👉👈)

So de-age is a popular topic how ppl react to jing or nezha being de-aged? Or there partners.
maybe nezha has one of those lil kid crushes on mk and acts out for his attention. as overwhelmed the poor monkie is he's still trying to be patient and kind to kid nezha (considering he knows some about how he was treated) doing his best to keep him happy and less fiery.
Jing I feel like would be a bit bratty as well, not crazy like his son but definitely a bit of a trouble maker. Azure keeps switching between overwhelmed in terms of stress and in cuteness because awww lil jing is so cute and it's kinda funny because he and nezha look like twins almost.
And the reverse.
Nezha, he's super over the moon cause holy shit, baby monkey mk is so super soft and so cuddly! Lil minis surprisingly calm and quiet but very needy in that he wants to be attached to his favorite people and get pouty if left alone too long. Or he'll get adventurous and start climbing up every available surface and giggling while avoiding a frantic nezha trying to get him down from the high up area.
I feel like jing would have the same reaction of omg so smol and soft 🥺. But I'm not sure if azure would be a troublesome cub or not lol
AWWWWWWW 🥺🥺🥺
I LOVE the de-aging trope! It’s so fun and is absolutely hilarious!
It wouldn’t happen at once, but sort of that villain of the week that comes every few episodes and each time it’s a different character who gets hit with the evil ray.
Mk and Azure would be suprisingly easy, mostly just curious at every little thing and all the new people, but mostly low maintenance. Azure would be a little more adventurous, and would be glued to Jing’s side since the man smells like him. Mk would be a tad more cautious of Nezha, but in that “kid has a shy crush” sort of way.
Nezha really wouldn’t be that bad. He’d recognize Jing(who’d be able to mostly keep him under control) so that’s a plus. It mostly depends on how young he is, which is usually about 3-4, is how he’ll react to the others, though like mk he’d react more like a kid wish a shy crush. The biggest factor is weather or not his mom is alive.
Yin lives route: Shed be DELIGHTED that Nezha is young again, and she and Jing would just absolutely dote in the baby.
If Yin is dead…. Well Jing tries to keep it from Nezha, but eventually Nezha gets tired and wants him mom, where is his mom? And Jing has to quietly break the news to him. (Mk has never seen Nezha cry quite so hard. The tiredness in Jing’s eyes, used to it, is just more heartbreaking)
De-aged Jing is an absolute brat. In the WORST way possible. Not like spoiled or entitled, but like actually a brat brat. Screaming, tantrums, kicking, biting, you name it, he does it.
It’s actually a shock with how bad he is. The only people who can calm him down are Azure and, suprisingly, Wukong and macaque. Azure because obv baby crush. (Jing: flowa! (Hands Azure flowers) | Azure: awwww) but Wukong? And macaque?? Everyone is baffled to hell and back. But sure enough, Jing tries to start up a tantrum for some reason or another and-
Wukong, sternly: “No. We do not act that way.”
Jing: (Goes get quiet)
Pigsy: “That worked?!?”
Jing is especially clingy, which confuses and mildly concerns the monkies. The others find the whole thing hilarious, since it’s usually the monkies who antagonize Jing the most. But they figure it out soon enough.
They were in the middle of eating noodles at Pigsy’s, with Jing refusing to leave Wukongs lap, when Macawue went to get up and do something. Jing abruptly reached his hands out to the Monkie almost in a panic and yelled:
“Mama!”
The whole shop goes silent, and Wukong has to hold back his laughter at the mortified look in Macaques face. Macaque takes the kid before he h a throw a tantrum, but is still pretty shell shocked. Nezha is dying, both in horror and in laughter.
Macaque: “Quit laughing!”
Wukong: “I can’t help it! It’s too damn funny!”
Pigsy: “Language.”
Jing: “Bad Daddy! No bad words!”
Wukong: “DADDY?!”
Wukong is even more horrified than Macaque! This time nobody hides their laughter. Thankfully Once back to normal none of them really remember it. But questions still remain.
Wukong: “So, when you ere still a baby-“
Jing, nursing some tea for the headache: “Here we go-“
Wukong: “You kind of, well, referred to me as your… dad? Any idea why?”
Jing: (Heavy sigh) “My father was redheaded, but I get my black hair from my mother.”
Wukong, confused: “Readhead-??”
It leaves even more questions. Because while yes, red hair did exist in china at the time… it was the sleficic shade of orange that concerned him. And it makes them wonder about who Jing’s dad really was…
(But yeah I love de-aged their all so cute 🥰)

A Nightmare (a @journey-to-the-au drabble)
Tumblr media
Another one! I split this one into two- so that way the people who enjoy fluff and are sensitive to the triggers can pick one or the others. Warning: this is about the Six Eared Macaque and what happens in the Betrothal AU
Trigger warning: Gore, Violence, Cannibalism and Descriptions of the Like. Allusions of SA (nothing happens but if this is a trigger don’t read!)
Did Heaven know of nightmares?
Earth Reaching Willow couldn’t answer that. In all her endless days within the Polestar Palace, among the Orchards of Immortal Peaches, and across the wide clouded bridges and celestial marvels, she had never known anything but tranquility and Peace.
Willow felt the other Monkeys of the troop swirling about her. Mothers bared fangs in fierce smiles while fathers and brothers teetered on grabbing weapons or jumping into the fray. However the being before them, the being that had been living among them, wore a familiar face, spoke in a voice that was warm in tenor.
It was a trusted person, a king of kindness, that had sat before them with grisly gore smeared over his teeth.
This wasn’t Wukong.
The Monkey King slouched, relaxed on the floor of Water- Curtain Cave. The gray stone beneath was dark with the scattered remnants of …
Willow couldn’t. She couldn’t - who had it been? Who had they been ? Willow had spent decades among the troop of Flower Fruit Mountain, years watching her new family grow and flourish. She had welcomed new members, helping mothers tend and care in turn for the babies and teach. She had brought flower petals to scatter upon the bodies of old and fallen friends and family, returning their vessels to the earth and praying for their next reincarnation. Death was not impossible for the Monkeys of the mountain even if age was not a factor now.
Her stomach curled at the scattered red and pink and purple flecks against the gray stone.
Willow had tended and cared for her family. Liu, Rin Rin, Ma, Ba, Beng, Mama Courage, Mama Wisdom, Chestnut- and so many more. She had cared for them because they loved her and she loved them.
Willow cared for them in all the years Wukong had been away. She, wife and friend to king of Flower Fruit Mountain, understood the importance of her position.
This creature that had once been alive was now twitching as it’s body bled out.
Another rending, echoed in the cave. The teeth of this Wukong hooked into the rib cage of the fallen little monkey beneath his foot. The red flesh pulled free of the white bone with a shlap sound. This mimicry of Wukong slurped the flesh and smacked his lips as if in ecstasy.
“Exquisite taste as always.” The voice was so familiar in its sound. Wrong wrong, Willows mind warned, her stomach becoming stone. This isn’t him!
The corpse of the monkey lay near the entrance of the cavern, splayed out in the pose of a running animal having been taken down by a lion. Upon that corpse, casual foot set against its shoulders, was the monarch of the mountain.
Mama Courage was bristled, fangs flashing and eyes full of fury. For all the rage behind him, the creature that wore the skin of their friend, was unperturbed. Instead he dug his claws into the skin and pulled. The sound set her teeth on edge and her stomach to flipping. Something pink and soft was between his claws- and then down his gullet.
The mothers and the distant warriors around the cave watched in horror. Most of the troop was outside, enjoying the everlasting summer of the mountain. Willow wished she had been just a bit faster, just a bit sooner and she could have been among them.
Instead she was stuck inside a living nightmare.
The Wukong turned his head, eyes alighting on one little of the troop adolescents who came too close. Faster than any of them could react, the Wukong had seized the youngster by his tail and dragged him over. The mothers started forward but froze at the pained screams of the little monkey.
“Curious one are you not?” The Wukong grinned, all threat within that smile. He sat the youngster beside him, petting his fur and pulling it close. “Come! Take a bite! This foolish subject shouldn’t have brushed me in his haste to get by. Now he will serve me in the only remaining way he can~”
“Eat! Eat!” With his free paw he gestured to the slaughtered monkey at his feet. The individual had had his throat cut, the blood pooling beneath his dun fur. The great wound on his side had been inflicted while they had been alive, it had happened right before Willows eyes.
Willow didn’t remember what the conversation had been about before. She had been walking out of one of the stone huts, signing to Wisdom beside her. It was the season for apple picking and they were both in a deep conversation about what foods to make with the apples they harvested.
‘Pies?’ Wisdom had puzzled.
‘And jams’ Willow signed back. ‘Tarts and sauces.’
‘You want to make these?’ Wisdom signed as they turned past a curve in the cave.
‘I want to teach others how to cook them’ Willow explained. She had been baking for years now, testing and trying new creations. With so many different types of fruit orchards and with an ever abundance of rotating bloomings and ripenings, Willow couldn’t resist. Apple pies, peach cobblers, plum puddings, candied pears, and strawberry tarts. So many things Willow could make- so many treats she could spoil her family with.
When Earth Reaching Willow had started making her first treats, the smell had begun to attract some of the denizens of the mountain. Little round faces poked through the kitchen windows, eyes wide and noses inhaling. Willow had passed each little one a bit of whatever she had been making- breads full of almonds, ripe watermelons dipped into sugar, orange juice freshly pressed for the porridge she would make- and they had scurried away, excited.
It had only taken three days for the rest of the mountain to be waiting outside her door, eyes eager and arms full of the fruits they wanted made into treats.
‘Teaching will be difficult.’ Courage signed.
‘How so? I like to teach and I think most will have the patience to learn.” Willow countered gently. Then she suddenly had a thought and amended, ‘Maybe not Ba though. I think he will be the one that will possibly try to sabotage me for a prank or steal whatever I make’
Courage laughed her silent laugh. Her eyes twinkled with mirth. ‘If he switches your fruits I will make sure he gets a thorough fruit thrashing. But no- I have no concern of your ability. Only about how much space we may have in the kitchen.’
It was Willows turn to laugh.
The morning had been going so well.
And then.
The two rounded the last curve of the tunnel, coming up to the roaring waterfall that blocked the main entrance to Water Curtain Cave. It’s soft, silver light soothing to see. It was like the mountains voice, forever roaring by them all. Courage paused, grabbing at Willows sleeve.
Willow looked up.
At the great wide flat stone before the waterfall, stood Wukong. A chill crept up Willows spine.
The Wukongs eyes alighted on the two and he smiled broadly, waving.
“Mother! Willow!” He called in friendly tones. “My beautiful wife is just the person I wanted to see !”
Willow felt that chill touch her veins.
He skipped closer eyes dancing brightly. But something was off. There was a shine to his eyes that looked feverish.
Wukong grasped the limp hand of Willows and kissed it. The press of that mouth over her skin felt hungrier, the eyes of his looking upward into her own with … with an expression of love meant for …
For the bedroom.
Willow took her hand from his palm, plastering a small smile onto her face. A wolf was before her. Wearing sheep’s clothing. Willow knew a wolf when she saw one however.
Wukong and her may be husband and wife but he never hinted or tried at more romantic inclinations when they were away from the cloudy courts of Heaven.
As she pulled the hands from his there was another flash, some sort of color burning in his eyes. What was that?
“Hello Wukong.”
“My Love~” His voice was syrupy sweet. “I have missed your company these few nights. Will you indulge me? I have the perfect place picked out! There’s a pond just south of here- and when the moon is out and the water is still, it turns silver and it’s beautiful.”
“It reminds me of your beauty.”
“I would love to,” Willow felt the repulsion rise. She had to fight the urge to pull back. Courtly edicate. She had dissuaded similar trysts and attempts from far more skilled men than this Wukong. But none of them looked like her best friend. “However I’ve promised to bake an apple pie and show your Mother how to make one.”
Courage nodded, signing ‘We must be off, son. The light will soon be behind the mountain and it will be too dark to see.’
Courage grasped her hand, tugging her away.
Wukongs face fell. Another flash in those eyes.
What happened next was all too quick, all too brutal.
Wukong- the wolf in Wukongs skin- moved to catch her hand-
And Willow had retreated, barely escaping his grasping hand.
One moment, Wukong had been trying to grab her attention. Courage had caught her hand, tugging her. Willow had bowed and given her excuses, her apologies. She retreated in relief. And she saw the eyes, finally, change to an ice blue.
The next moment, as one of the many monkeys walked by -was his name Radish or Cloud?- Wukongs eyes flashed.
Wrong-they are blue with red chips within them. Why are they blue ?
It was like the striking of lightning. One minute Wukong had stood, gaze open and full of such a light as to give a dragon nightmares, and the next the world was turned end over end. The monkey had at one moment been brushing past the king and the next he had been pinned to the stone floor. The savage strike had split the side of the little monkey's flank, opening up fur and skin and flesh. Exposing the inner workings of the poor creature in a spray of red so dark as to be black. The Wukong with those painfully bright blue eyes had cleaved the bone of the rib cage as easily as a knife slicing through butter.
The monkey gasped, eyes blinking in confusion. The pain hadn’t registered yet. Only shock. Wukong tugged a bit of pink intestine out of the still writhing monkey and ripped it to shreds.
Blood.
Screaming.
Willow felt her stomach heave.
“I have your attention now ?” Wukong had said.
Not Wukong.
This creature, whoever and whatever it was, was not Sun Wukong.
It couldn’t be.
This Wukong shook the adolescent monkey it had hostage again, yanking at the corpse before him. The noise of the screams had brought the few monkeys still in the caves running, some dragging weapons. Upon seeing however, that the threat was no tiger or jackal or leopard but their own king tearing away at one of his own, had driven all the fight from them. It had left only horror.
The poor monkey face was contorted in a frozen scream. Its eyes were staring sightless. Vacant and grayed over. Gone.
“Come have a taste. I only share the best of meals with the ones I love.” The wrong Wukong spoke, tugging the poor creature forward. He held the flesh closer, eyes blazing blue. The tiny monkey squirmed in his grasp, eyes wild.
“Stop!”
The Wukong froze. The world froze as Willow called out. Her heart raced. Only her heart and the roar of the waterfall dared to make a sound.
She saw the tiny monkey squirming and clawing at the hand that was still about its scruff, whimpering. His eyes, that unusual shade of blue, slanted her way. They burned coldly, wildly, full of one such emotion that Willow couldn’t mistake.
Hunger.
“Oh?”
The Wukong set the monkey back down. He didn’t let go of the poor thing. His eyes were only for her, his attention peaked. Earth Reaching Willow, Eldest princess of the Jade Emperor, threw herself into that woman she had been before her monkey, before Wukong had come into Heaven and offered her the world. She was an actress.
As still as a pond with no ripples. He may be full of a burning ice but I must be colder- I must be that calm within the eye of a hurricane.
Willow pressed her forehead to the floor, bowing. She felt the hands of Courage tugging at her. She kept her head flat to the floor.
I must play this game. Protect my family-
Even from the one who I looks like my friend. For my friend. Wherever he is—
“Has my Wife finally decided to give me attention?” Willow heard the heavy and terrible sound of bone snapping and muscles rending. She didn’t look up. “It has been so long, my love. You’ve left your king….” A harsh crunch of bones, of noise that is the sound of teeth digging into something soft. Snapping it like a twig. “….hungry.”
“Please, let the little one go.” Willow pleaded. She felt the brush of Mamma Courage along her side, Wisdom along the other.
“Lift your head.”
Dread.
She did as she was told, composing her face to serenity. The serenity cannot withstand the horror before her. It cracked.
This Wukongs face is smiling cynically, eyes glacier blue and glowing. In his free hand, the dismembered paw of the poor deceased monkey, cut clean from mid forearm down. The bone had been cracked, the marrow dripping.
“What will you do my Willow?” He asked, shaking the still struggling babe. One of the mother monkeys barked in rage, taking a half step forward. Another stopped her. Willow felt like a mouse caught between a wolf's paws.
“Your husband is very upset at you for ignoring his … advances.”
Nothing. I won’t do anything. I will turn into the smallest speck of sand and let the wind blow me away.
Willow let her fear spin just for a moment. Then she grasped it in her mind and pressed it behind that cold veneer of courtly teachings. She had acted much of her life. She had acted to fool her father, her advisors, the very suitors that saw her as a chess piece to improve their standing within the Polestar Palace Court.
And I will act now- I will hold my horror to best give everyone a chance— a chance to get away. To prevent more deaths.
“I have neglected you husband.” The words smoothly emptied themselves from Willows lips, even as she wanted to snatch them back. Be brave. “It was not my intent to do so. I have been busy helping our family. Forgive me.”
I don't want forgiveness from you. You aren’t my Wukong. He wouldn’t demand attention from me. He wouldn’t ask me for this.
“I’ll forgive you. I’ll be pacified by you.” The imposter sounds almost relieved, as if her words had soothed a burn upon his skin. He shakes the poor baby again, eliciting a squeak and an angry chorus from the other mothers here. Willow is still surprised it is just them in Water Curtain Cave.
A miniature horror show just for them.
“I will even let this little one go, since I am such a benevolent king. No one should say that I, Sun Wukong, didn’t listen to my beloved wife.” He smiled again, staring straight into her soul. “But I want a Kiss.”
“A kiss?”
The Wukong nodded, eyes flickering. A ripple of black and then gone again. “One single kiss. To reaffirm our union. Maybe more … later.”
The ‘later’ sent chills down her spine. But Willow nodded.
“Good! An obedient wife makes a happy life!” He laughed with Wukongs voice, but none of the joy of her Wukong was reflected there. It was twisted, spun into something bent and hideous. A mimicry of joy. A sound to match the horror.
Tears streamed down her face, the only break in the smooth surface of her cool demeanor. Willow leaned forward, about to stand.
“Oh but I am not prepared.” He said. She froze. Something malicious crawled over his face. The imitation Wukong- I refuse to believe this is Wukong- took up the bloody wrist and pressed the still bloody end across his face. Willow felt her horror rise, the gorge in her throat threaten to upheave. He smeared the bloody stump across his teeth, over his lips, across his chin. Like a monsterous paintbrush, this Wukong painted his lips in the blood.
Finally the Wukong drops his captive, the little monkey scurrying up to the group seated before their King. It’s mother scooped them up, pressing them to the soft underside and trying to hide his face from the nightmare. Willow couldn’t look away. Her courtly armor, the thing she had pulled up to cover herself in, shattered into a million pieces as those blue burning eyes fluttered and locked onto her lips.
“What’s the matter darling?” The Wukong holds the arm in one hand, the free one pressed to his face, almost as if he were resting it there. The thing before her must read Willow's repulsion. His smile turns softly, a predator's smile curving away from those gore filled teeth. “Don’t you want to Kiss me?”

Lil boys Big City
When shanyao and Red boy are deaged into small children by yin and jin with none of their future memories. They must navigate Megalopolis to get to at least one of their parents.
How'd Shan get here? The little guy was confused on what was going on and why he was in a massive jacket. Pigsy was gonna be so mad that he was clearly too far away from the shop. He didn't have his inhaler either, he had a phone though! When did he get a phone?
"Are you okay?" A red headed boy asked, his clothes didn't fit either. He was nice, maybe he knew what part of the city they were in.
"Do you know where we are?" Shanyao asked before coughing in his hand. He really needed to get home, he clearly had a cold.
"No but I can probably summon my mama " The boy said as he rubbed Shan's back," we just need soft dirt and then I can summon her ok?"
"Okay, I'm Shanyao but everyone calls me Shanny " Shan said as he coughed into his hand again . Before he could even complain he was being piggybacked by the Red head with a cheerful smile. He wanted to call dadsy but he didn't know the phone password so this Boy's mom was their only option.
"I'm Red boy! Not to be confused with my brother Red Son. Don't worry I'm really strong so you just save your energy " Red boy said cheerfully as he started walking and looking around. The houses in this village were tall, so how would he find a mount of dirt? This kid needed medicine and they surely had some at the fortress!
" we're close to the big park at that stop sign turn right" Shanyao stated as he pointed to the sign up ahead. Got love his navigation skills from collecting cans for money. So he at least knew where the parks were.
"Oh okay! Away we go!" Red boy said as he did as instructed . As he carried Shanny he made reassuring small talk," Don't worry we had tons of medicine at home. We'll help you feel better. "
" I just need my inhaler and an anti inflammatory" Shan said softly as he coughed into his hand again. Thus kid was nice but weird. Shan was a bit weird himself so he didn't mind. It took a little while to get to park. Where Red boy made sure to find a nice shady spot to put his sick friend before finding a stick.
"Just give me five minutes then I'll summon mama. Her symbol takes a little while " Red boy said as he went to draw the symbol in the dirt. What he wouldn't give to be able to create it with bite.
"Okay" shanyao said giving him a thumbs up before coughing a bit harder. He was tired. He really had a cold huh? Pigsy be so mad he left the shop.
To say Red boy's mom looked confused was an understatement when she showed up. Red boy grabbed her hand and didn't seem to notice her confusion, " Mama my new friend needs medicine! His name is shanyao and he's wheezing mama!"
"Red boy?" Iron fan asked as she was being dragged by her suddenly child son to a suddenly child version of Macaque's student, " shanyao?"
"Hello" Shanyao said with a tired wave. Iron fan quickly picked him up, it be better to get them both to Red son for analysis. Lil Shanyao was so light and it was concerning, " can we call my daddy he'll be concerned I'm not home "
"Of course dear" Iron fan said softly as she rubbed the small child's back gently. He clearly wasn't feeling well and she couldn't help but baby him ," what about we get you both in better fitting clothes "
-----
"And Red son said the effects will last a few weeks " Iron fan said over the phone as Shanyao was asleep on DBK. Red boy was playing with blocks.
"My boy's going to be a child for a few weeks?" Pigsy said concerned as he went to grab a notebook, " I still got the recipes I made fer him when he was lil. He had a picky palette thanks to all the meds. Tomato soup is always a good call I'll text ya the recipe he likes and how to make the grilled cheese with it.We'll come get him around 8 after the dinner rush so tang can safety check his room."
"If he needs to stay the night that's fine Pigsy. We have doctors here if he needs them and he's fallen asleep on my dear husband's chest" Iron fan said reassuringly as she watched Dbk gently rub the Boy's back with his finger. One of the few areas of her husband that was still fluffy. It seemed to be the perfect place for a lil child to sleep.
"Oh ya got send pictures " Pigsy said with a chuckle, " I got add that to the album"
" oh of course " Iron fan said with a giggle.

He’s Mine- Roleplay with @sanityisinthemusic
Chapter 5 - Welcome Home
Wukong slowly woke up to little hands patting his face. He felt sore and his leg refused to move as he woke up to Mk patting his cheeks. “Mama better now? Baba said Mama moved wrong and opened big wounds while in-inju-injuring Mama’s leg with a bad fall.” Mk inquired.
"Be gentle with Mama now bud, he might still not feel too good," Macaque said, sitting next to the two with a smile. He couldn't help the feeling of accomplishment he got, seeing Wukong back in their old nest. Or, in the nest, he'd made to replace the old one. It had taken so much work, and a fair amount of magic in the form of shadow clones, to get the palace clean enough to bring the injured Wukong and his little one here. He'd even replaced the old nest with a big bed and built a nest of blankets and pillows on top of it. The work wasn't done of course, but the important rooms were and he had shadow clones still hard at work cleaning the place. It might be tiring, but it would be worth it. For now, he sat next to the two at the edge of the nest, watching their son sitting on their mama's chest in the middle of the next nest made for them, and it only fueled his love and desire to protect his king more. He leaned down and placed a kiss on Wukong's forehead. "Peaches, open your eyes for me? I set up a big surprise for you and I want you to see it," he whispers.
Wukong cracked his eyes open while a soft hiss of pain passed his lips from his leg tensing up. “I'm alright Starlight… just sore…” Wukong replied slowly, trying to sit up. He did not want his wounds being torn open again because he didn't heed Macaque’s requests and even then the collar would have forced him to sit up anyway at the ‘order’ like question.
"Easy there," Macaque said, scooting closer and looping an arm under the other's shoulders to take some of the weight off of his injured body. "Last thing we'd want is for you to shed more blood just trying to sit up." He gently helped sit him up, grabbing a few of the pillows around them and tucking them behind Wukong so he could lean into them while sitting up somewhat. Once he was sure Wukong was settled, he got up and walked to the other end of the bed, spreading his arms. "Remember where we are Sunshine?" He gave his King a warm smile as he showed off the room. A stone room. There were furnishings made of wood carved by the stone monkey's old hands and decorations that they'd picked out together centuries ago, old vases filled with fresh flowers and little statues and anything else they liked. The fur on the floor had been preserved with time, still as soft as ever, just like nearly everything else in the palace they'd lived in for so long.
Wukong’s eyes went wide in shock. “The King’s chamber of the Stone Palace..."
Macaque's grin grew. "Yup! I thought it was finally time that we returned home, don't you think?" He approached the bed once more, leaning over the foot of the bed to scratch lightly at MK's head. "Especially now that we have a baby to raise." He looked up, locking eyes with Wukong. "Seemed only right to raise our family here, don't you think?"
Wukong mutely nodded while those words rang in his ears. ‘Home’ and ‘Our Family’ were such words Wukong had spoken aloud in private in this very room. ‘The wind…’ Wukong realized.
Macaque smiled as he came back around the side of the nest, climbing back into it. Not too close to Wukong, but near him. He sat with a smile, tail waving gently behind him. "I'm still working on getting everything cleaned up, but that's going to take a few days." He paused, his smile falling as he remembered something. "Well, except the vault. That's got to be entirely organized. And the treasure room outside of the palace needs to be cleared out and everything moved into the appropriate store rooms." He shook his head, sighing, but was smiling a bit again. "You always were a bit of a hoarder."
“I hoarded stuff as an outlet to prevent myself from fighting and making any more enemies.” Wukong huffed.
"If I'd known that would work, I would have encouraged it more," he said with a chuckle. "I'm preparing Xiaotian's room just down the hall. You remember that room we never knew what to do with? It was too small for a proper guest room, but too big for light storage. It's the perfect size for a baby nursery." He chattered away happily, tail waving behind him.
“I recall it. The other idea was to make it a study for you to break down and modify enchantments on old artifacts.” Wukong replied.
"That's the one," he said with a nod. "I'd decided against it because I wanted to have my study closer to the vault." He scooted a bit closer. "You weren't happy about that because you said it was too far away if I got lost in my work."
‘I have to be very careful here.’ Wukong thought. “I did. You nearly ended up crashing to the floor after two weeks locked in your old study breaking down a far more advanced magic item and nearly blew yourself up."
Macaque balked. "Ok, you are seriously exaggerating that story! It was not two weeks." His tail curled around himself now as he frowned at the other. "And I didn't blow myself up," he said, turning his head away with a little huff, clearly pouting at being called out.
“Baba go Boom!” Mk giggled clapping his hands. “Peach!” Mk demanded and his shadow seemed to writhe before a gold-tinted peach popped out into Mk’s little paws. “Look, Mama! Can summon food with shadow!” Mk squealed happily.
Macaque's attention immediately turned back to his son, staring at him in astonishment before he grinned. "My talented little boy." He cooed affectionately as he started to purr, reaching out and rubbing his son's back. "You are gonna give me trouble with you getting my powers already, I can tell." He'd need to set up some seals around the palace, to make sure that his sweet little cub couldn't accidentally shadow portal away from home whenever he managed to figure that power out. Too dangerous.
“Baba share peach?” Mk asked.
"That's okay. I think your Mama needs it more than I do," he said with a smile. "I had something earlier."
“Okay.” Mk looked up at his mama. “Share peach?”
“Yeah we can share Starlight… where did you get this peach?” Wukong asked while mild dread filled his stomach at the Gold tint to the peach that he took from Mk and gently twisted in half popping out the glimmering golden seed of the special fruit.
"He must have gotten them from the kitchen." Macaque muses as he wonders when their son might have seen them. "I found a few like that earlier today. Best peach I think I've ever had by the way." His tail tip flicked as that proud smile turned into a smirk. "Didn't know your peaches would be so sweet Sunshine. Your little secret grove is something special."
Wukong bit back the urge to snark while his face turned red with a blush at the unintended double meaning of Macaque’s words. What he wouldn't give to jump into a cold lake right now. “I made do with what I had stored away.” Wukong carefully answered unsure how much Macaque knew and what he was simply guessing.
Macaque leaned forward a bit more, enjoying Wukong's reactions. "Maybe we can talk about growing some more later then, when you're better." He purred. Now that he was very sure that Qi Xiaotian was immortal, he wanted his child to enjoy good food like this. And his mate deserved to enjoy such delicious peaches. " could finally get started on setting things up for that peach grove you always wanted in the courtyard. We can have a few varieties."
Mk lightly pushed his Mama towards his Baba getting them to ‘kiss’ on the lips with a cheer. “Yay! Got you to kiss! Now Baba just needs to give Mama a ‘wedding night’!” Mk grinned his ears flicking. “After a big party naming Baba Shadow King and in love with Mama King!” Mk giggled.
Macaque paused as their mouths bumped together, his tail twitching behind him as he shifted back a bit, taking a moment to register the cub's words. He lowered his head, mentally cursing the wind as his cheeks turned red. "Bud, I think your Mama isn't quite in the best shape for a wedding night," he told the cub when he looked back up, rubbing the back of his neck. "The wind sure is sharing some interesting stories with you." He hoped it wouldn't share anything too graphic with the child.
Mk had a pout while Wukong mentally rebooted. “Party… The Demon Kings’ Gala!"
Macaque drew a breath. The wind did like his cub just a bit too much it seemed. "That's right. We had a huge party called that we called the Demon King's Gala. It was when Baba and Mama got married."
Wukong flinched. ‘Then that fallout with heaven… and his death…’ “I meant another Gala is coming up… the original did so well that the Demon Council of Elders decided to hold one every century. The next one coming up is in two weeks and I'm sure most of the demon council is already aware of the ‘Mate Hunt’ going on in the city. Any demon king must attend along with any announcements that shift the influence of powers.” Wukong rambled rubbing at his temples while stress was easily seen and written in his body language.
Macaque's mood instantly soured. "Oh right, them. Haven't thought about that in a while." This meant he'd have to take the risk of taking Wukong out of the palace. "I suppose if we don't go they'll be sending demons to find us as well." It was hardly a question. They'd not tolerate any disrespect. They'd hated Wukong back in the day, and he didn't have a much better reputation with the council. At least one of those things hadn't changed. "Looks like we gotta work on getting you healed up in time for the party, Peaches." He didn't like this at all. Wukong was almost certain to try to escape that party. But it would be a much bigger problem if the great sage wasn't able to walk for the big event when he would most certainly be taking center stage. "Do you think they'll be expecting us to bring Xiaotian as well?"
“Yes. He's listed as my heir in the enchanted records that keep track of all living demons and their actions… I... I have no idea if the book even acknowledged you as being alive. The book still records me as a Mateless King from last I checked."
"I doubt they've edited my entry. I've been keeping a fairly low profile all things considered." Sure, Ao Guang had seen him, but he didn't have much to do with demon society so he'd not have spread the news. And LBD had frozen most of the demons that could have spotted him during her takeover. "And I'm not that surprised you aren't recorded as mated. We haven't been mates in centuries." He spoke idly as he leaned against the pillows next to Wukong, propping his head onto his hand as he let his elbow dig into the bedding.
“You’d be able to catch up with your sworn sister, Iron Fan.” Wukong pointed out.
Macaque hummed. "I suppose," he concedes. He'd not have many opportunities to do so now that he had a mate and cub to look after. He paused, smirking slightly. "How do you think she and Bull King are going to react to Xiaotian?"
“I can already see the marriage contract between Mk and Red Son being made.” Wukong groaned at that. “Least I don't have to deal with pushy she demons and disgruntled demon males anymore…” Wukong sighed rubbing at his face again.
“Mama bullied?” Mk asked with a worried look on his face.“No starlight. Mama was being courted very badly by others.” Wukong asked if he could even call what the other demons kept trying to pull courting attempts.
Macaque’s tail whipped sharply behind him. "But that's nothing to worry about. They won't be bothering your Mama again Xiaotian. That's why Baba is here," he assured both his son and his mate. One of his hands reached out and slipped into Wukong's hand, giving it a particularly gentle squeeze, mindful of what he'd learned before. "You're right about the marriage contract though." He admitted, frowning slightly. He supposed that if it had to be with anyone, he trusted Iron Fan to raise a Red Son right so he'd treat Xiaotian well. "But that's not going to matter until well into the future. I'm not too worried." He smirked now, snickering. "Their faces are going to be priceless though," he muttered.
“You're going to send your sister into an early grave with your dramatics Moon.” Wukong deadpanned slipping into an old habit. ‘Now what am I going to do?’ Wukong thought while mentally shuttering at that fact Macaque was not above-using torture as punishment and breaking bones to make a point.
Macaque paused, before purring softly and nuzzling into Wukong's cheek. "Come on now Sun, these are happy surprises, I'm sure it'll be fine." He said, chuckling softly before placing a kiss on his cheek.
“Anything else happened while I was resting?” Wukong asked wanting to change the topic from anything else that would add more stress to his already tired mind. ‘Just got to grin and bear it until Mk and I can… get… away… what… was I thinking about…?’ Wukong thought his head feeling like it was filling with thick cotton as a pale purple sheen glimmered over his eyes with a dark glow coming from the collar around his neck.
Macaque hummed as he let himself rest near his mate, letting go of Wukong's warm hand to reach down and pet the cub's head. "Xiaotian asked for another shadow play. I told him about how you got your staff," he informed the other.
“…the Cubs friendly version right…?” Wukong asked while drawn to Macaque’s body heat nuzzling his face into the crook of Macaque’s neck being careful of his wounds.
Macaque purred as he wrapped an around his mate, leaning into him so he'd not have to shift his weight. "Yeah, the cub-friendly version. I'm not telling him anything too bad," he chuckles. "Those versions can wait until he's older."
Wukong gave a small snort. “At least wait until he’s fifty before sharing some of the more savage stories,” Wukong muttered as energy trailed from Wukong’s collar to Macaque’s wrist where a thick bracelet of a similar material to the collar resided but unlike the collar, the bracelet was able the be removed.
Macaque blinked at the bracelet. He wasn't sure when it had appeared. Was it a sign that things were going well? He supposed it had to be. He kept purring, running his other hand through Wukong's fur, feeling Wukong's energy pulsing from that bracelet. "Alright. You've got plenty of stories to choose from anyway. We can stick to the sillier ones for now," he assured, nuzzling into the side of Wukong's head, drawing in a shaky breath. His tail slid around his waist, searching for and wrapping around Wukong's as he tucked their child between them. "Any stories you'd want me to share next? I'll let you make requests."
“The day you came to Flower Fruit Mountain. You were searching for the Monkey King and instead, you met me first.” Wukong chuckled as he recalled the old memory.
He blinked, before smiling. "And you were just a normal monkey. After all, why would the great Monkey King be hanging out around the mountain alone, goofing off?"
“I was not.” Wukong pouted that fuzzy feeling in his head growing more as Mk looked between them.
“Mama a silly monkey? Baba a new monkey?” Mk asked curiously between them.
"That's right Xiaotian," Macaque said. "Back when your Mama and I first met, I had just found the island where your Mama was born, Flower Fruit Island. I was looking for the fearsome Monkey King, and this random monkey named Wukong somehow managed to sneak up on me, despite my six ears." He chuckled again, nosing lightly at Wukong's ear. "That silly monkey gave me a tour around the entire island, and played with me like we were just cubs ourselves."
“You sound like you had fun Baba.” Mk pointed out but listened to the story with rapid attention.
"It was fun," he admitted with a smile. "We spent the whole day together. I got a tour of the island, we did some fishing, we just talked, a lot. And then I got to watch the first of man beautiful sunsets with Wukong." Macaque trailed his hand that was carding through Wukong's head fur down to the top of his neck, gently scratching there. "Then I was invited to dinner, where I met the Monkey King. I was given the seat of honor, and the entire time the Monkey King never said a word or gave anything but the most serious expression. Suddenly, one of the generals of the great Monkey King accused me of scheming to hurt the king and said that I had been seen with a strange monkey. That strange monkey happened to be Wukong, who was missing from the table. But you see, I couldn't say that, because Wukong had made me promise to not tell anyone about our time together that day. And I wanted to keep my word to him." Macaque continued. "So I was trying to come up with an argument and failing."
Wukong chuckled softly. “It was a spur-of-the-moment test on both the generals and Macaque’s intentions. You see Starlight, I had acted all serious and commending like a typical King around the generals seeing if they were following me for my power instead of my loyalty. This was all long before the idea of waging war on heaven was even thought.” Wukong explained. “After the accusation was spoken I raised my hand and spoke for the first time during that meal. ‘Why do you dare raise a fuss? This newcomer has come to be my Shadow he found the True King before anyone else and earned my trust.’” Wukong stated saying word for word what he had done at that dinner.
Macaque chuckled. "You wouldn't believe how surprised I was. The silly monkey I'd played with all day, the fearsome king that even the Jade Emperor feared? It was so hard to believe. But from that day forward, I was always by the King's side, his warrior. His shadow, just like he said." He nuzzled against the side of Wukong's head again. "And then I became something more than just the king's warrior."
"Soul mates!” Mk squealed. “Gold Sun and Black Moon!"
Macaque looked down at his little cub, smiling softly. "That's right." He chuckled softly. "Though, soul mates are something you're born as. We just didn't realize we were a pair until later on." He started brushing his hand through that long fur on top of his son's head again. "We are the Sun and the Moon, the Hero and the Warrior. Two sides of the same coin, each other's counterbalance." Macaque paused, a little thought coming to his head. 'Life and Death. I died and he became a life god.' That couldn't be a coincidence. He kept the thought to himself, filing it away for further consideration later.
Mk reached up looking at the pretty bracelet on his Baba’s wrist with a golden sun embossed on the material. “Shi…hou…?” Mk read with a tilt of his head.
Mihou let his hand fall from his son's head so he could better examine the bracelet. "It's your Mama's first name, given to him before he became Sun Wukong. It means Stone Monkey," he explained. "This band around my wrist is a lot like the band around your Mama's neck, it tells other demons that we're bound together so they won't bother us like they used to bother your Mama."
Mk clapped his hands at that. “Mihou and Shihou! Moon and Sun! Mango and... And… uh… what fruit starts with an S?” Mk blushed as his train of thought cutely failed.
“Strawberry,” Wukong replied. “The bracelet lets Baba know if anything is wrong with Mama and if Mama is in trouble for breaking Baba’s rules or being bullied,” Wukong stated the collar glowing as it gave a childish explanation of its power through Wukong’s voice.
Mihou hummed, glancing at the bracelet. He then glanced at the dazed Wukong, a small frown pulling on his face for a moment before he placed a smile back on, leaning to whisper into his ear in an almost sultry. "But you'd not be plotting to cause trouble, now would you my precious Sun." He placed a kiss just under his ear.
Wukong shuttered, biting back a moan. He was not doing that in front of Mk nor was he going to do it while wounded. “No.” ‘curse my sensitive body!’
Macaque chuckled, nuzzling the spot he kissed before leaning back to kiss his forehead. He had no intention of doing anything to his mate in his current state, but this closeness was already enough to drive him up a wall. He couldn't resist at least teasing him a bit. "Personally, as cute as the naming scheme was, I'll always think of Wukong as a peach. He is exactly what he eats." He nosed his hairline, letting his mate's scent fill his nose. "He even smells like peaches, have you noticed that Xiaotian? Your Mama even smells sweet."
"Mama, really sweet! Baba smells like tart plums!” Mk happily added.
"So I've heard." He gently pokes the little one's nose. "Do you not like the smell as much because it's not as sweet as Mama's smell?"
"Mama’s comforting. Baba’s protecting.” Mk replied.
Mihou purred. "That's exactly right. Papa will take care of protecting you and Mama so Mama can focus on taking care of our sweet little Xiaotian." Mk giggled and squealed as he was picked up and tickled. Small orange-tinted shadows rose to push away the hands tickling Mk.
Mihou snickered, heart, swelling at seeing how many of his powers the little cub was already learning naturally. "My little cub is just so talented with his shadows~" he purred, letting his hand be pushed away as he pulled his child higher up between him and his mate, nuzzling the top of his head. "And you smell like your Mama and Me." Mk smiled looking to puff up a bit at the praise before scrunching up his nose and sneezing with a puff of smoke revealing a small tiger cub with twin tails between the two monkeys. “And there is my transformation ability…” Wukong sighed. Mihou raised an eyebrow.
"He's picking up on these powers fast, huh?" 'A lot faster than he did the first time around, and those were just Wukong's powers." He pauses, watching his... he guesses cub is still the right word here. "He is gonna be able to turn back on his own, right? No chance of him getting stuck for a while?"
"No drawbacks,” Wukong answered, tapping the cub on the forehead and making another poof as the Tiger Cub returned to their toddler of a monkey Cub. “Remember the old human saying ‘Monkey See Monkey Do’? That's going to apply very literally here with Mk since he still subconsciously knows about his powers but has the conscious mind of a Cub.” Wukong stated.
"That explains that." Mihou paused, frowning. "Do you think... do you think he's ever going to remember? As he gets older I mean," he murmured, brows furrowing in worry. He didn't want his cub to remember those other people, and he didn't want him to remember the things he'd done to his cub in the past, even if many of them hadn't been meant to harm MK.
“No. The regression erases any memories from before but leaves behind impressions of any powers the heir had learned so no progress is lost.” Wukong answered. “There is a chance of nightmares or headaches if he runs into anyone he knows without one of us nearby with a sense of vertigo but that's about it. The regression effectively erases any memory the moment the heir imprints on their ‘parents’ in their child state and begins the process of growing back up." Mihou lets out a small sigh.
"Good," he murmurs, smiling again. He didn't want his son to remember bad things anyway. This was for the best. "And it's nice to know he still remembers most of your powers... I think." He chuckles. "Doubt that's going to make things any easier though in a few years when he starts wanting to get more adventurous. It's impressive how fast he's picked up on so many of mine though."
"How many times did you battle him and let your magic make physical contact with him? The more contact he has with raw magic the more likely it would have made his core adapt and subconsciously observe your abilities. He was supposed to be a flawless copy of me after all.” Wukong pointed out holding Mk close as the Cub dozed in his arms smuggling into his chest fluff.
"Guess you've got a point," he admits, frowning again at the reminder. "If I'd had any idea I'd have been more careful." He wraps his arm more securely around his mate, nuzzling into his shoulder. "I can't believe how close I got to badly hurting such a young cub."
“You couldn't have known… no one was to know he was anything other than a special human…” Wukong replied.
"I know." Macaque sighs. "Doesn't make me regret it less. Now more than ever." He pulled back a bit, smiling at his Sun. "He is so much like you. I'm amazed I didn't figure it out myself." Wukong snorted.
“He acted far more like you when he did not want to train and kept calling out my ‘terrible’ methods."
"Ha." He grinned at the other. "The kid managing to learn so much from you is kind of a miracle. You're a genius when it comes to combat and your powers Wukong, but that doesn't mean you're that good at explaining those things you're so talented at." Wukong gave the dark monkey a pout with a light blush on his face.
“Why does everyone poke fun at my teaching ability…” Wukong huffed as he felt the bone in his leg fully heal along with his large wounds having been reduced to simple bruises. ‘Great… my healing is also under Macaque’s whim.’ Wukong thought.
"Because you're too easy to tease," he said with a grin as he went from nuzzling his shoulder to his neck, totally unaware of the fully healed leg. "And it's way too much fun." Wukong just hummed curling up his legs close to his body.
“Any more surprises in store for me when I go looking around the palace?” Wukong asked, feeling drowsy from all the affection and light grooming of his matted fur.
He paused, noting the way Wukong was able to curl into himself. He might need to take a few more precautions, just to be safe. "Just cleaned some stuff up, nothing special." He started purring again, soothing his mate further. "Is there anything you'd like to find, Peaches?"
"A brush… and something to help with the bald spots…” Wukong hummed.
"I'll see what I can find. And if you want, I can help with that matting tomorrow. I think I'll do a much better job than a brush." Wukong simply nodded as he dozed off his energy to stay awake having been greatly reduced with the rapid healing of his leg and wounds to a much better but still sore state.
He was quiet for a moment, fanning his ears to listen to his slowing heartbeat and breaths. "Guess he fell asleep after all," he murmurs, still running his hands through the other's fur. He glanced at his wrist, staring at the bracelet. Did he even influence how Wukong healed? He hadn't been recovering anywhere near that quickly beforehand. He wondered what other things about Wukong he could influence with this bracelet. Keeping that fun little thought in mind, Macaque lay with his beloved for a bit longer before carefully removing himself from his sleeping cub and mate. He had so much work still to do now that Wukong was healed and MK was gaining so many shadow powers so quickly. He'd start with a ward around the stone palace, something strong enough to keep his cub in should be strong enough to keep Wukong in, so he'd have an easy excuse there. Later on, he could see about finding a way to expand the rest of the cave. Slipping into the shadows, he disappeared. He needed to get this done in time to come back and get his cub before Wukong woke up after all. make sure his dear mate didn't get any bad ideas being left alone with their little one. And he needed time to look into anything that could regrow his dear mate's hair.

This is very funny to me @sketching-shark as that outburst he has in that movie is honestly half the reason this AU exists to begin with, his full on 'MAYBE I DO HAVE A MOM, YOU DON'T KNOW THAT' stuck with me so much it must've influenced this AU and it's subsequent resurgence this year unconsciously.
Also apologies for the sheer size of all this.
The first thing I ever drew for it was after Monkey King: Hero is Back came out and the designs were partially inspired by the movie making mama a bit more macaque shaped. Whereas this year both mama and Wukong got a slightly more long-tailed monkey design.

The idea of the AU - which with a pinch of salt I admit might mess the narrative the story just a touch, but it is predominantly a fluffy AU - is that instead of coming from the egg fully cognizant and adult in shape, Wukong bursts from the egg and is very much baby.
I had it out in a rough little comic that Mama (she has no name right now or ever honestly) comes across this egg that's been cracked open and finds a tiny little fluffball inside and she is immediately just like; 'Mine', because she's not leaving a baby alone on the mountain. He might be fresh in their troop, maybe their actual mama left them here for safety and got eaten by a tiger? So sad.
And that's how he ends up in the Huaguo troop and is raised by Mama and his aunties alongside his future generals/best friends.
The beats of the story are basically the same it just explores a closer knit connection with his family that we see partly but not enough I feel.
For instance, I haven't drawn it yet, but the first taste of death that Wukong is the death of one of the elderly matrons of the troop that drop down dead when he and the other juveniles are playing. He's so confused and distraught that this would happen, even more so that it's apparently just natural and although sad something he has to 'accept'. And obviously he doesn't, nor does he like it.
That's his catalyst for his Master Subodhi arc and along with the insult of being dragged to Hell why he erases all of the names of the monkeys in the books of death.
In this AU I like to explore not only Wukong's familial happiness but the fact that all in all his catalyst for becoming immortal is because he loves life and doesn't want it to end or be put into the cycles of reincarnation to have a 'new one'. This is his life, he wants to keep living it.
Anyway back to the crux, the beats continue and in typical Mama fashion - no matter how old he gets or how splendorous and great; he is still mama's baby.
Tumblr media
I haven't gotten to the point of how it incorporates into the Journey, though my favourite jokes from friends so far is the idea that - would probably not work on the Great Sage whatsoever - whenever Tripitaka gets angry or extremely frustrated before he has to tighten the circelt; he just whips out the 'I will tell your mother' card on Wukong which doesn't really intimidate him at all. But in the back of his mind he's like;
'Oh no, what if he does tell my mama, I promised to be a good boy on this pilgrimage I can't have Guan Yin AND my mama be upset with me.'
The ideas are still manifesting fresh and I'm working on a hopefully cute alternative to the Six-Eared Macaque story in which he might still die, but also might end up living, it's more so how he's found out in this iteration.
But YEAH that's all I have so far, just a soft fluffy AU that explores Wukong's familial side as the community grandpa but also if he had a regular youth, an adopted mother and a lot of aunties.
Also it goes without saying that initially the Heavens are pretty petrified of Mama in a sort of;
'If she can manage Wukong, how strong must she be!?"
Without taking into the account the idea that maybe the reason Wukong actually respects and listens to her is that she's his mama and he lovers her.
SHRIEK OKAY @kaijufluffs SO I WAS FLOORED LEARNING THAT YOU'RE THE PERSON WHO DID THE SUN WUKONG MOM COMIC BECAUSE THAT IS LEGITIMATELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE JTTW-BASE COMICS AND NEEDLESS TO SAY I LOVE THIS AU!!!
Because YEAH Sun Wukong has so much love for his monkey family that provides a really interesting layer to his character, so needless to say I'm excited that you're putting together an AU that's specifically about exploring this! I do think as such that it fits pretty well with the general story of Xiyouji, even if you're making the Monkey King much more baby at the beginning. As it is since he started out a little smaller than a playing ball but did grow to a little shorter than 4 feet in the og classic, I think we can assume there was a period when he had some growing to do even if he was fully ambulatory from day 1 there. I also really like this AU because it really seems to be going further into where SWK's intense fear of and sadness about death would come from; we all have that, some more than others, but really emphasizing how much he loves his family and loves life provides a really good and really understandable motive for why he does what he does. I especially like the way too that you're using this as a way to emphasize SWK's defiance to every authority, in this case not just the natural order of birth-life-death but also the idea that one would have to become a human to have a shot at immortality/Enlightenment. He's happy being a monkey with his mama, aunties, friends and family!
I also genuinely think it's very in character for the book's events to have everyone baffled why SWK would have so much love and respect for an old lady monkey even though SWK consistently shows how much he loves his monkey family & acts with respect to people who respect him lmao.
Finaly asdgrwef that last image immediately made me think of those photos of mother monkeys tugging their kids by their tails when they try to wander off & get into trouble

So I saw that Wukong has chickens on the mountain , and everyone has been calling "The Ladies", which is amazing I love it, and I can imagine Wukong teaching the kids how to take care of them
AH YES YES MY LITTLE BROTHER @loupsbane (WAVES HIHIHIIIIIIII) CAME UP WITH THE LADIES LOVE THEM SO MUCH LITTLE FLUFFY GUYS!!!
and yeah i have to ynow i do.
consequences sun family has CHICKENS
and other animals as well. im saying rn. rn its canon. Nezha has a cat. the sun family as a whole has a few chickens and Mei has a bird.
(PSA i know nothing about chickens)
Wukong would have to keep Macaque away from them bc Nezha ralied the chickens togethor and are trying to get Macaque off of his babas island.
(insert image of a little guy with the chickens all around him ordering the chickens around like soldiers)
but then when Nezha see's how bb Mk has gotten attached to Macaque as his mama, Mei likes the wierd guy that showed up on the island (he lets her talk as much as she wants and just sits and listens, Mei is a very talkative little girl), and his baba seems REALLY attached to the dumpster cat. so he lets macaque stay but not without a stern warning and a death threat if macaque ever hurt swk or his sibs,
ANWYAYS BACK TO CHICKENS
after Nezha sets up a peace treaty he lets the chickens know not to attack, doest mean they dont bite whenever he's around.
they bite at and tug on his fur.
one time like, five of them all bit into his tail at once and dragged macaque around while wukong chased after them trying to get the chickens off.
Mk and mei are laughing thier butts off and nezha is taking pictures.
as the years go by the chickens dont really cause much trouble for macaque anymore, they let him feed them but thats it. anything more and hes gonna have another sprained tail.
also Mcaque at first didnt want the chickens around bb Mk bc of the whole......tail incident.
BUT
the chickens rally around baby Mk like a hoard of overprotective mothers. they would KILL for thier kings new prince (same with the monkeys of ffm they love Mk) the chickens are so delicate with baby Mk they never bite and you can always tell theyre being careful around Mk and patient. even when Mk grabs thier feathers a little too hard.
the chickens dont like Mei much, she chased them around when she was just starting to run as a baby. now theyre more content bc wukong taught her to be gentle with the creaturs of the mountain. now she swings and runs around with the monkeys.
oh thats fun, Mei is a dragon but has some monkey charictaristics bc she. she lives around monkeysh hhehehehehe. its why she's so damn good at parkour. same with Mk but hes better bc, bc he is a monkey.
Nezha is the one the chickens hang around the most. I like to think Nezha likes being around and cuddling with fluffy/soft animals as a comfort thing (his cat, the chickens, wukong, Mk) he'll latch on and wont let go.
no
no im serious he wont let go
his elbows are locked and now Wukong has a 12 year old stuck to thier leg
so sometimes someone in the family will go and wake up nezha and he's under a pile of animals. sometimes Mk is in there too.
suprisingly tho Nezha's room is still spotless. no one knows how he does it. well seeing as nezha is Nezha. (workaholic, bit of a clean freak) it makes sense but he has so many animals constantly in his room that no one knows how he keeps it so clean.
Wukong is the Chickens number one fave. Mk is second but Wukong is #1. wukong comes to the chicken coop BAM,
macaque u better get a new boo ur old one is being stolen by a hoard of chickens.
they love wukong they literally jump on her.
litterally she leaves the coop and he now has feathers stuck in his fur.
buuuuut yeah. they taught the kiddos how to care for them. Mk and Nezha picked it up rlly quickly, Mei was a little too harsh with them and Macaque....
.
Macaque and the chickens are having a glare off. they are at a stand still before they both tackle swk.
whoever pulls swk away from the other first gets swk rights for the rest of the day.
it is a daily struggle and macaque cant believe he has to fight a hoarde of wierd af chickens just so he can cuddle with his girlfriend.
I love the chickens

au where Kinkajou is a mom cause i gotta know more about docile/soft Kinkajou
how many kits does they have and how does everyone help out with them? how do the kits react to MK? Wukong? Mac?
if this is in our rp continuity, how do they feel about Daiyu or Lula? how does Kinkajou react to Tiny being near her kits? or Xīn? they're the only ones who aren't afraid to go near her during this stage in their life, and they're very curious about their kits.
is there anyone on ffm (between both our ocs and the lmk crew) whom Kinkajou refuses to let near their kits? why? is there anyone she trusts more in particular? why them?
and finally, how's Kinkajou handling motherhood in general? what was her initial reaction to the news she was pregnant? is there any difference in how she felt about them when she saw her kits for the first time and when she left them?
i'm sorry about all the questions - i'm just very interested in this mama Kinkajou au.
6 to 9 kits, i haven't decided the exact number but she's got a certified litter! yuè will be the most help, as she's knowledgeable when it comes to nesting animals, mothers, kits, etc. but everyone's helpful whether it be bringing kinkajou food, water, helping clean her and her bedding, helping her get around to mark her territory to make sure the monkeys know where it is so that they know where to be careful about wandering, everyone can help kinkajou get around both before and after she gives birth. the kits are initially fussy, but kinkajou gets them acquainted with the others, so the kits are very friendly to them, even considering them family. kinkajou is alright with them being near the kits so long as they're careful, there will be no hurting the kits
there isn't really anyone she wouldn't let near the kits that i can think of aside from general dangerous creatures (snakes, the like), other than ao guang, she doesn't like yuè's dad (and after yuè's outburst when they initially found pergent kinkajou i doubt anyone feels too hot about him). she is more cautious about red son, though. she trusts daiyu, macaque, tian shi, and yuè more than the others- daiyu and macaque are pretty obvious, their daughter is blind so there's really nothing that they can't handle when it comes to her kids, especially considering they adopted xianzhi when she was still zhouei and they also help with tian shi. plus, if kinkajou IS xianzhi's daughter, then macaque is also her grandfather, which explains the soft moment of her climbing halfway into macaque's lap and napping, purring away. tian shi she trusts by proxy- she doesn't really trust wukong all that much personally, and she trusts him about as much as anyone else, but she doesn't have that personal distrust of tian shi. and then, of course, yuè is held in high regard, given how much she knows about nesting n stuff, and she's so sweet and kind, even if naive. also the outburst against her father gave her mad respecc, and kinkajou does actually go give yuè comfort after giving her a bit of space, taking on the form of a huli jing.
kinkajou isn't handling motherhood well, she's in a constant state of anxiety and panic. they figured out they were pregornic on their own with their growing appetite and strange cravings, along with their new aches and pains, which kinda set in dread as compared to the constant anxiety after the mating process, as its highly unlikely that she wanted to mate. there is a difference in how she feels- her love for them only grew as time went on, and she loved them more than anything else when they were born. leaving them behind was the hardest thing she'd ever do, but she knew they'd be safe with them and that it wasn't safe for them with her.

Did someone ask for a Giggle Glow Birthday Part 2? No? Well, too bad! You get one anyways.
@animemoonprincess
Please enjoy the sweet softness from your beautiful AU. 😉😊
(P. S. When I told your mama that I was preparing to kill one of her kids, she gave me a message for you. Mama Winter loves you. 💗😊)
When Macaque woke up this morning, he was not expecting... Today. It had been a chilly winter morning and he had been up in time to watch the sunrise as he thought. It had been a few months since LBD had been defeated and things had fallen into an odd rhythm. He had moved back to his dojo, trying to figure out what next.
The kids came around often enough that he couldn't just up and leave. Plus they were entertaining to watch and who would turn down free entertainment?! (He refused to acknowledge that he had grown a soft spot for them). Something he had expected to happen since the 'final boss battle, ' as Mei called it, was the cutting of whatever ties he had built with Wukong during the whole journey.
The golden monkie had disappeared and Mac hadn't seen him since. Oh Macaque knew where he was, but he didn't want to push things again. Might as well leave it as is. MK made sure to keep him updated though, so he knew that Wukong was doing somewhat okay. Mac refused to admit he missed the chaotic monkie, no matter how many times he thought through all the battles they had over trying to flustered each other. All the jokes and glowing laughter. The hiccup incidents and the revival of Flutterbutter.
What he hadn't expected was MK to walk in to his dojo, calling "Delivery for Macaque!" While he had heard MK coming, it was surprising that it was during his shift which added to the surprise of having a delivery bag placed in from of him.
Macaque looks at it in suspicion, before eyeing MK. The boy just shrugs. "Pigsy told me to bring it while I was out on my runs. Figured he is just trying to reach out to you. Since you really haven't been by the shop in a while." Macaque nods slightly before moving to open the bag and see what was inside.
Inside was one of those cardboard cupholders you could get from a fast food joint. Inside each of the four holders held a jar of an orange cream of sorts. MK watched excitedly as Macaque pulled one out and opened it. The smell of Mangoes and sweet cream wafted to his nose and the Monkie couldn't help the soft smile on his face.
Chinese Mango Pudding. It was one of Macaque's favorite desserts as it wasn't too sweet and only really tasted of creamy mangoes. Almost like peaches and cream. But only one person knew of his love for the dish and that person was on his island. Well, however the chef found out, Macaque was glad to have received some.
A note in the bag catches his eye. Pulling it out, he reads, 'Hey Mac. I figured you would like a taste of a new dish I have been trying out since you seem to like mangoes. Make sure to send the kid on his way quickly. I don't pay him to get side tracked. - Pigsy P.s. Happy Birthday'.
The Monkie let's out a low chuckle, shaking his head as he glows softly. Of course the pig demon would find a way to celebrate his birthday without breaking his promise of not telling anyone. MK tilts his head in curiosity. "What does it say?" Macaque pockets the note quickly. "Pigsy is trying out a new recipe and thought I wanted some. Oh, and to send you on your way so you can finish your shift."
"Awww. Okay. But I'm coming over later with Mei! You promised you would come with us to a new coffee shop so we are holding you to that!" Mac nods slightly. "Yeah, yeah. Get going squirt. Don't wanna make your boss mad." He ruffles MK's hair, receiving a glowing giggle. "I'm going! I'm going!"
-----------------------------------------------
Mac walks into his dojo as the sun was setting. He had just spent the last few hours with MK, Mei and Red drinking coffee, going to a farmers market before going back to Pigsy's Noodle Shop. He hate to admit it, but the he was worn out from being with them and their high energy. He was definitely glad for the quiet as the amount of noise he heard earlier had been tough on his poor ears.
He grabs one of the unopened jars of the pudding, (he had eaten 2 earlier) before heading to his room. He figured he might as well finish off his birthday with his favorite dessert while watching the sunset. The window in his room had the best way to climb to the roof.
As Macaque enters his room, he stops. On his bed sat a a box wrapped in paper with moons and snowflakes all over it. He frowns and let's his ears flare out, listening for anything suspicious from both the box and the dojo. Hearing nothing, Mac slowly crept his way to the bed, footsteps silent and prepared to slip into the shadows if needed. Reaching the bed, he pokes the box with a nail, causing it to tilt before settling back into place.
He decides to carefully unwrap it as quietly as possible so he could hear if something happened. Soon enough, the box was unwrapped and he gently opens it. Once open, the monkie steps away, expecting something to have triggered, but only silence met his ears. He peeks in and gives a confused look at the occupants in the box. Macaque carefully reaches in and pulls out a stuffed mango toy. He decides it was probably safe and heads to the roof to look at it closer.
He sits down, looking at the sunset for a moment before holding up the mango toy. It was small. Small enough he could hide it in his scarf or a pocket, but just big enough to hug. It was soft and squishy to the touch. The mango had a cute little face with glittering golden eyes that had been embroidered on. He couldn't help but be reminded of a certain pair of golden eyes from the friend he long since lost. It smiled up at him as if it was alive and caring about him. He almost wanted to hug it.
After a few moments, he decided to act on the thought. Pulling it close, he looks up at the sun until he hears a crumpling sound from the toy. It sounded almost like paper. The shadow monkie pulls away and looks the mango over. At the top, he finds a hole that seemed to where the sound came from. When he started to reach in, he was surprised at the hole growing larger, as if an elastic was stretching.
He opens it a bit more and notices another cute smile inside the pouch. Mac then begins to flip it inside out and by the end of doing so, the cute little mango had become a peach with brilliant, embroidered silver eyes that shone like stars. While he had been flipping it, a paper fell out. It was rolled into a tube and held shut with an embroidery thread. Setting the toy down gently, he picks up the paper and unroll it.
'The Sun is lost without the Moon to guide him. He misses his Moon just as much as he needs him. Happy birthday, my precious Moon.'
Macaque feels a tear slip down his face and onto the paper. Did...Did he really mean that? He looks at the toy, understanding what it was. It was handmade. It must have teken several months to do. Probably had to start working on it about the time of LBD's battle....
He let's out a soft laugh, his soft moonlit glow mixing with the glow of the sun beautifully. Macaque holds the toy close and looks at the fading light of the sun as tears silently fell down his cheeks.
This was the best birthday he has had in a very very long time.

Nezha Reborn
Finally got around to watching this one. I have very low ability in Chinese as an ABC, so I actually have to watch it with subs and be able to pay attention enough to read them, which means background streaming while gaming is out of the question. It was in my queue for awhile, and I saw that not so many people liked it that much on review sites, but for me I loved it. But I'm probably a weird exception because when I was in high school I got obsessed with the original novel the film is based off of, so when there's things happening I just like smiled and nodded and was like, "Oh yeah, that totally makes sense" because I already know the background info.
And like, I know the original novel it's based off of, but like I also was crazy obsessed specifically with Nezha. So all of the references and everything I already understood and knew, but other people coming into it cold complained in their reviews about how there's a bunch of things that aren't really explained. I actually didn't notice because I already knew them, so I think the film really makes a lot of assumptions that the audience already knows the mythology, which means it's best suited for the mainland China audience and specific diaspora like me that decided to look up their heritage. For everyone else, it's probably confusing.
There was a reference I needed to look up though, which was the Six Eared Macaque cuz I couldn't remember who that was, but it was the fake Sun Wukong from that one very annoying period of Journey to the West. When I read the description I was like, "OH, THAT ASSHOLE." But I totally didn't remember who he was cold.
All that said though, it's a pretty faithful and very well done reimagining of the Nezha story. It's not like a perfect 1:1, but for me it's enjoyable, but I was also a Nezha fangirl from my Senkaiden Houshin Engi days.
Hakyuu was so disappointing. Such promise, but bad pacing toward the end and like why like so many episodes focusing on Youzen and his master...? It got repetitive and I even got confused whether I was watching the same episode over again. I really liked Miyata Kouki back in the day, and often people don't really warm up that much to the new seiyuu playing a beloved character, but I actually really liked Furukawa Makoto's performance. I wish the script was written better so that I could have seen more of it. Like Miyata is like much more soft-spoken, so Nataku comes off as such a sweet boy even when he's kind of murderous. He's just mostly silent at those times, but Furukawa kind of actually has a better balance between his Mama's boy persona and like the battle ready paopei ningen.
But anyway, just including that whole rant to kind of illustrate how much of a Nezha obsessive I am, so the problems with the film that probably bothered other people really, really, really did not bother me.
That said though, I thought it was interesting they gave Ao Bing a spine and that Nezha ripped out his spine 3,000 years ago. I don't have my copy of the book with me in Japan because I needed to pick and choose what I wanted to pack in my luggage and that wasn't one of the things I brought cuz of weight limit, but I thought I remembered reading that what Nezha pulled out was his intestine....? And then after that he like went and made a belt out of it like a cheeky little punk. XD I suppose a spine would make a better belt, but that part got left out too. Just the ripping out part was enough I guess.
Still though, I can really understand how Western audiences or audiences not familiar with the lore would score it lower. It really requires prior knowledge to enjoy, but if you have that knowledge it is very enjoyable to see how they adapt the different mythological bits into a steampunk/cyberpunk retelling/rehashing of the story.

BNHA Daemon au part 6
Let’s start with Mama Midoria. Her daemon Eima is a Japanese Macaque. think Monkey form Kubo and the two strings. She's no nonsense, but very loving to her son and husband.
Tumblr media
Hisashi Midoriya in this au is a good dad ok. His Daemon, Ito, reflects this. He his a highland ram, gentle around their family, but fierce defender in the field. Did I mention that Hisashi is a hero in this. They took a position in America, mostly because it pays better than the saturated hero community in Japan.
Tumblr media
Masaru and Yanagi settled as a chocolate lab. Gentle and 'soft mouthed' within the family, they are the ones to break up the snarling matches between mother and son.
Tumblr media
Jiroku is Mitsukis Daemon, a bold and fierce grey wolf. They both want what's best for their loved ones, but their intentions get lost in translation to outsiders

One day, in hopes to recover what they lost, the Shinohara family took one of the more difficult decisions of their lives; leave behind their home back in Hokkaido and travel hundreds of miles south until Musutafu, the place that could grant them a solution and help close the yet fresh wound and scare away the ghosts of the past. Hardheaded, passionate, and ambitious (Y/N) is forced to confront the incarnated face of the superhuman society that she hated the most; Bakugou Katsuki.

3-In Conclusion, This Day Was...
The light night air caressed (Y/N)’s face and swayed her hair as she calmly strolled on the street. The ride from the konbini was short, after a couple of minutes, (Y/N) reached her home’s front gate. She pushed the creaky short gate pushing her bike along her with the shopping bags and closed it behind her. She put the bike on its little corner next to the driveway and locked it. She took the two shopping bags, along with her bag and walked to the front door. Before (Y/N) could even align the key with the keyhole, the door was harshly swung open revealing a much preoccupied and almost hyperventilating woman, (E/C) eyes met an equal pair of concerned (E/C) ones.
“Oh, (Y/N)! you’re finally home!” Immediately (Y/N) was engulfed in the hugest mama bear hug imaginable. Her mother, Akari consumed by aggravation and worry squeezed the lights out of her ‘little baby’ alleviated to have her between her arms, safe and sound.
“Mom...! I can’t- I can’t breathe…!” (Y/N) choked out.
“Oh, I’m so sorry baby! You know how I get when I’m worried, and excited, and when I see a good deal at the supermarket but enough of me! Tell me, are you alright? Are you hurt?” Lovingly, Akari cupped (Y/N) soft cheeks and proceeded to quickly exanimate her closer, looking for any scratch or cut. “Your temperature is normal, does any part of your body hurt?”
“Well, other than my legs, my butt, and the growing migraine I’ve been feeling since I left the konbini, I’m awesome, thank you.”
“I knew it! I knew that something was wrong! You must have been trapped in that horrible incident in the commercial district! What if the migraine is because you hit your head and will develop some brain damage if we don’t treat you immediately or your legs are injured?! What if they have to amputate them!? Should I call 911?! Or take you myself to the hospital?! No! We have no time to lose! Quick! Get in the car! I’ll go and get the keys and my purse-I have to call your dad!! Oh but he’s way too far right now! What if!-”
“Alright Mom! enough!” (Y/N) snapped. “Look at me, now, inhale and exhale, sloooowly, take your time and calm down. Once you are relaxed, I’ll explain myself, so stop jumping to conclusions please. Look at me in the eyes-that’s right, deep breaths, deep breaths…” You said softly while you also breathed deeply to show your mom how she had to do it while she dramatically imitated you, putting a hand over her chest to help herself.
“Al-Alright, I-I’m feeling better now”
“Perfect, so the reason I’m late is, indeed related to the villain attack, BUT! No how you are thinking! You know that in the center of the city there’s a bikeway, right?”
“Y-Yes I do”
“So, you also must remember that the Commercial District is part of that same bikeway’s route, right?”
“I-I recall so, yes”
“Perfect! Now that we have that important but kinda trivial piece of information clear, I’ll proceed to tell you what happened. Sooo… During my way back I decided to ‘take my time’ and you know, explore the city. But, but, but! When I was about to go back home, I heard a really big explosion coming from there, there was a lot of smoke as well. Right there I ran into an elderly lady and her daughter and they explain me the situation, they also advise me to get home as soon as I could. But the fastest and safest route home with the bike implies going right into the crime scene which was a super no-no, so I saw myself forced to take the long route around the Dagobah Park, a.k.a the city’s biggest illegal trash dump all the way down the coast line which took me around an hour which is also the reason my legs and butt hurt, oh! And also, the stop on the konbini that ended in an unfortunate incident related with a defective Ramune bottle and a rabid macaque-”
“W-Wait a minute! R-Rabid macaque?!” Your mother exclaimed panicked.
“That’s irrelevant right now mother, my point is I’m ok, and I’m not feeling like getting into the ER right now, also I have perishable products in this bags that need refrigeration and I reek like death and destruction, so can we enter to the house pretty please?”
“O-Oh, right, that was a bit confusing but I think I got it.”
“Great! By the way I bought the missing ingredients to make dinner.”
“Fantas!- Oh no! I was so preoccupied about you that I forgot to make dinner! I haven’t even made rice! Why don’t you take a bath while I put up something together to eat? You can also tell me about your first day of school over dinner!”
“Ok!”
 🐈🛀💢
Contently, (Y/N) hopped up the stairs and made a beeline to her bedroom. Although she has only been living in there for 2 weeks and a half, she found herself loving the place, the new house in general was really homey and cozy, it was roomy and stylish, somewhat similar to the house she lived before with her family back in Sapporo. One detail that she found extremely beautiful was that this new house possessed an ample number of skylights, in almost every room of the house, including hers, it gave her an amazing view of the sky while she was lying on her bed during night, or the rain clipping and clapping over the crystal. The house also possessed a pretty old and pretty picturesque cherry blossom tree in the backyard that had gifted them that very same spring with lots of delicate pink petals that she usually saw dancing in the wind.
But her room was something special. (Y/N) was not sure if it was the way the light illuminated it, or the color the room was painted at that moment but it was something similar like love at first sight. Since that very first moment she and her parents visited the place along with the realtor that winter day last year, she knew that this would be her special corner.
Moving itself is a long and tedious process, but in their case the distance made it trickier. Musutafu and Sapporo were 880 miles away from each other, which mean they had to go there by plane, otherwise, (Y/N) would’ve to be stuck in her parents’ car for over 18 hours.
The moving truck was sent in advance so their stuff would be there the day they arrived. The flight only took 1 hour and 35 minutes, it was really short but once (Y/N) got out of the plane it was like she entered into another dimension. Musutafu was way bigger than Sapporo, also busier and hectic, there were more heroes around the city which made sense because of its size, the crime rate must be higher here as well.
After all the unpacking and mess that moving in implied, the Shinohara family was successfully settled down, it felt like it was so long ago. Time really flies by when you are occupied, huh?
(Y/N) closed her room after she entered, going directly to her bed, plopping herself in the fluffy comforter. Suddenly with the corner of her eye she caught a sudden movement next to her, focusing more she recognized a familiar ball of white fluff that napped away comfortably over the mound of pillows and cushions situated on the upper part of the bed.
“Mashumaro!~”
“Mrrrow~”
Mashumaro, a 5-year-old white British Shorthair, stretched deliciously and stud up from his pillowy paradise to receive one of his (several) daily coddle sessions. (Y/N) opened her arms to the affectionate feline, enveloping him in a warming hug.
“Oh Mashu! You can’t imagine the day I had! Everything could have gone perfectly fine if it wasn’t for that stupid angry blowfish! And when I thought I got rid of him for the day, he ‘blessed’ me showing up in the konbini! That idiot! How dare he to live nearby!? I hope he doesn’t live close at all, see his ugly puckered face at school every day is bad enough! I’m utterly exhausted, and this was just the first day.”
“Mrrrow”
“Yes! Can you imagine?! How the rest of the year would be?!”
“Mrrrow”
“I know, I know, thankfully this is the last year of middle school, after next spring, boom! No more Bakushit!”
“Mrrrow”
“Oh Mashu! ~ You are the only one who understands me, thank you for listen to me, I feel better now~”
“Mrrrow...?”
“Talking about feel better, I have a date with that ofuro at the end of the corridor, so if you excuse me…”
In a fluid move (Y/N) wiggled out of her bed, leaving her furry companion to keep enjoying his catnap and get the most comfortable pjs she could find in her wardrobe. With the selected garments in her bed, she left her room and headed to the bathroom. Once inside the wet room, she proceeded to fill the tub, setting the water temperature to her liking. Meanwhile, (Y/N) slipped off her uniform and folded it aside into the hamper to wash later. Once ready, she stepped under the shower and turned on the head, soaking herself completely in the relaxing liquid. (Y/N) eagerly washed away all the stress and sweat that formed during this crazy day.
‘I wonder if Midoriya made it home safely’ (Y/N) absentmindedly took her shampoo bottle and squeezed some of its contents over her hand and applied it over her head.
She hummed blissfully while her fingers massaged her scalp. The bipping of the controlling pad interrupted her relaxation moment to inform her that the tub was filled and ready. She rinsed her hair and body drenched in shampoo and body wash foam and applied her conditioner to the final touch. Once she was ready, she turned off the shower head and wrapped her wet hair in a towel, she tested the water with her toe, which she approved with a soft sigh and submerged completely and hummed contently.
“Ahhh~ This is life!” (Y/N) closed her eyes and let herself being wrapped in relaxation and tranquility.
‘I’ll ask Midoriya tomorrow how it went, I hope he didn’t have to go near the villain attack. For what they say it was a big deal, I hope the hostage is ok’
(Y/N) came to a halt with the soft knock on the door. “(Y/N) sweetie, dinner will be ready in 10 minutes, don’t take too long so you can eat it while it still hot.”
“Ok mom! I will, thanks!”
‘I don’t wanna go to school tomorrow! I wonder if I can change classes or something, but that means Midoriya would be left alone at the mercy of that brute again.’
‘Alone…’
“No! Midoriya has had to deal with this by his own, if I can do something about it, I will”
‘He deserves to feel that someone appreciates him, supports him and believes in him, just like anybody else’
(Y/N) stud up from the tub and covered herself with a towel and exited the bathroom. Once in her room, she closed the door and sited on her bed to check her phone.
“Oh, I got a message…”
From: Haru ✨
 3:42 pm
Hey gurl! How was everything? 😁 Sorry I didn’t text you during lunch, I forgot my phone in the classroom, 😓 silly me I guess, 😅 like always, haha! 🤣🤣 Anyway! Tell me! How are schools down there? Did you meet some cute guys?~ 👀🤩 I’ll call you tonight!~ 😘💋
“What do you mean ‘how are schools down there’ you moron, like in the rest of Japan.” You snickered.
To: Haru ✨
6:41pm
It is complicated to tell how my day was, ‘incredible’ maybe? 🙄 Just to give you a preview it got me so tired that I want to sleep for the next 25 years and this was just the first day. 😫😫 Anyway, I’ll go get dinner, call you later.
(Y/N) dried her body, put on the clothes she chose and went down stairs were she saw her mom setting the table filling it with several steaming yummy looking plates and bowls.
“Wow! this looks really good!~”
“I’m glad you think so, come on, sit now before it gets cold”
“Ok!~”
There on the table laid a full arrange of delicious comfort food; hearty veggie miso soup, grilled salmon, green salad and potato salad, pickled veggies and last but certainly not least katsu white curry, one of (Y/N) favorites.
“Its been a long time since we ate white curry!”
“And don’t forget the cheese stuffed tonkatsu~”
“Yay! ~”
“Itadakimasu!”
(Y/N) took a spoonful of rice and curry and hummed happily at the savory and spicy flavors dancing in her tongue, the golden-brown tonkatsu was crispy and juicy, crowned by the gooey cheese on the inside.
‘Mom’s food is the best~’
“By the way, your father called when you were in the shower, he said he’ll be back in Musutafu on Thursday afternoon”
“Really?! That’s awesome!”
“Things went way smoothly than he thought, we will bring the remaining suitcases we left, the ones with summer clothes”
“Oh, those will come handier here since is warmer”
“You are right, now tell me how was your first day of school? Did you make some new friends?”
(Y/N) almost chocked on her soup as all her misadventures of the day came to her mind at the same time, trying to think about a good response she cleared her throat and compose a bit.
“Mmm, I’m not actually sure if I can call him a friend but there was this really timid guy in my class-”
“Oh! A boy?! Good thing your father is not here otherwise he would be seething, and crying at the same time because his baby is growing up so fast!” Your mom said with an amused expression on her face at the mental image of your father in such state, the tips of her fingers were covering her lips in a vain attempt to conceal her giggles.
“M-Mom! I-It’s no like that! A-And I just met him today! Good God! Don’t go saying things like that so blatantly!” (Y/N) said suddenly rising from her seat, her face completely aflame with shame for her mother’s words.
“Oh honey, I’m kidding! No need to get so riled up!”
“Hmp!” (Y/N) grunted with puff up checks and an expression that more than angry, looked cute. And of course, her mom made sure to emphasize it.
“That face makes me want to squish it to death just like when you were still my little cutie baby boo! ~”
“M-Mom! Stop it!!!”
“Haha! Honey calm down! Don’t take it too seriously!”
“Hmm…”
 📱📱📱
“Woah, woah, woah! So, you are telling me that this guy actually called you a bitch and threaten you and another classmate in front of the whole class and the teacher didn’t do or say anything?! No even detention or something?!” (Y/N) best friend, Haruka exclaimed as she suddenly paused applying her moisturizing cream, a part of her ‘night beauty routine’.
“You got it, I guess that he’s scared of him, everyone actually, so he must be used get away with everything and you know that people usually looks away when a quirkless person is discriminated, like it wasn’t serious or it was something to laugh about.”
“Yeah crude but true, unfortunately that’s not new, the ‘bully with a decent quirk’ kind of story is really common, but to that extent? Is kind of terrifying. You also said he wanted to be a hero? What the heck?! I’ll definitely will not support a hero like that! If you actually could be able to call him a ‘hero’ after all, I hope that U.A reject him on the spot! A meanie who bullies my bestie does not deserve such title!”
“I’m pretty sure that the U.A staff would have your concerns into consideration”
“I’m serious (Y/N)!”
“Me too”
You were now laying lazily in the comforting warmness of your bed. As you promised you called Haruka after dinner, filling her into all the details of your crazy first day, and a certain insufferable spiky blond.
“How about you? How was everything there?”
“Cold as hell! It started snowing when I was walking back home. You know, typical Hokkaido.”
“You know that the hell is hot, rig-?”
“Don’t smartmouth me bitch, you get my point.”
“Yeah, yeah, today the weather was really nice here, is getting warmer everyday and the sakura are on full bloom. I think is the first time I haven’t freeze to death on my first day of school. It was a nice experience for a change.”
“Oh, I’ll wish to be there! I can’t believe we are in firkin’ April but it feels like January!”
“Like you said, Typical Hokkaido. Hey Haru, my eyelids are closing; I’ll go to sleep now ok? I’ll message you tomorrow and please for God’s sake don’t leave your phone in the classroom, you moron.
“Ok! Ok Mom! Geez! Suzue told me there was this new hottie in class 3-C and I had to check if he was Jefree Star Approved!”
“Doesn’t Jefree Star review make-?? Oh! Shut up and go to sleep!”
After hanging up to a pouty Haruka, (Y/N) put her phone to charge and submerged herself under the softness of her comforter, turning off the bedside lamp she sighed prying to whatever God out there listening that tomorrow could be a better day.
“Just a good day, that’s all I’m asking for…”
With little flashbacks of all those days spent with Haruka and all her friends, her family, her old home, of Hokkaido.
Embraced in sweet memories, she was lulled to sleep.

He’s Mine- Roleplay with @sanityisinthemusic
Chapter 3 Wind’s Whispers
Red and gold eyes cracked open as a weak beam of sunlight shined in his face from a nearby window. ‘That’d the light of sunrise.’ Wukong idly noted as he sat up finding he was alone with the bandage around his chest having been changed along with the bandage around his splinted leg. ‘I need to get up.’ Wukong thought as he shifted himself over to the side of the bed noting how much slack was on the chain attached to his ankle as he gripped the bedpost and stood up testing how much weight he could put on his leg and finding he could stand on it for a few minutes before he had to sit back down. ‘My pain tolerance must have been reduced.’ Wukong mentally noted.
On the other side of the closed door, Macaque's ears twitched from the sitting room where he'd been reading aloud to Qi Xiaotian. He listened for a moment trying to guess what his mate was doing. He'd not put his glamor back over his ears since he'd shown them to their cub, wanting to make sure the child viewed their six glowing ears as a normal thing, as it was a sign that he was his son. So hearing Wukong moving around wasn't much of a stretch. And based on the curious ear twitching of the baby monkey, Xiaotian could hear it too.
"Let's go check on Mama," He said with a smile, scooping the now giggling and cheering little monkey into his arms. "Baba's gonna show you a fun trick, okay? Don't worry, you're safe with me. I'll never let you get hurt," He nuzzled the little one's head before singing into the shadows, darting invisibly into the bedroom where Wukong was safely and securely kept in bed to recover. Seeing his Sunshine on his feet both surprised and didn't surprise the shadow monkey. He popped out of a shadow by the foot of his bed as he sat back down. "Guess I should have expected you to be up and moving around again after some sleep. How's the leg?"
“Fine. I can move around on it for a few minutes at a time.” Wukong stated. “Am I going to be given any clothes?” Wukong asked.
Macaque chuckles. "I dunno, I think you look pretty good like that. Makes things easy for this little guy." He sits the little monkey on the bed so he can scurry over to his Mama. "But I guess if you're feeling modest..." A shadow portal opened above him, dropping a silky red and black robe onto his head. "You can wear that until you're healed. I need easy access to change the bandages."
Wukong scowled but slipped the soft robe on as he rested against a pillow as Mk ‘ate’ his breakfast. ‘To think I'm going to have to get used to breastfeeding Mk for the next decade now that he will age like a normal demon Cub instead of a human.’ Wukong thought.
Macaque was quiet for a moment as he watched the domestic scene play out in front of him. 'This is gonna take a while to get used to.' Wukong might have always been great with the Cubs, but this was on a whole other level. And this was all his. His tail swayed behind him as he walked around the bed and sat on the edge of it as he had done the day before. "Gotta admit, I'm surprised you could only stay on your feet for a few minutes. I know you're healing's slowed down but I didn't think a couple of holes would be able to slow you down this much."
Wukong grimaced. “My pain tolerance has been reduced, might be an effect of the collar reducing my magic."
Macaque hummed and nodded. "Makes sense. Still, you're healing faster than a mortal at least." He wasn't sure he wanted Wukong's leg to heal that quickly, but he wasn't going to mention that. "I'm surprised you managed to keep the little one so safe in the last month with how cheerful and curious he is." Macaque noted, watching the little one still latched on tight to Wukong. "Did you have to use some spell to make him sleep? That wouldn't require too much magic."
“No… I fed him a mix of milk and my blood to keep him from imprinting on any of the demons if we got caught or cornered.” Wukong replied.
Macaque nodded. "Good call, especially considering the kid's track record. He's always been too friendly for his good." As he continued to watch the child from his spot, a thought popped into his head. "You know, I think he might just be the youngest a celestial monkey has ever been born. "He glanced up at Wukong's face. "The two of us were both born old enough to not need milk." He paused, frowning slightly. "Well I guess I can't say about the Gibbon or the Baboon, but at least that we know of, he's the youngest. Wonder why?"
“Because he was made from only a fraction of my egg that wasn't much larger than a watermelon once the clay form was sealed inside,” Wukong answered as Mk finished his meal burping afterward as he giggled and reached up to touch and investigate Wukong’s face.
“Mama pretty peach!” Mk giggled repeating the words the whisper of wind blew into his little ears.
Macaque paused, ears twitching, listening for whatever the wind may have carried to him, but heard nothing at the moment. Instead of wondering if some fool had dared to say such a thing about his mate, he smiled. "Oh, you think your mama's pretty as a peach too?" Macaque asked the little one, glancing up at his mate's face. He'd certainly said it himself in the past.
Mk nodded. “Baba, beautiful blueberry!” Mk giggled, his cute little ears twitching.
Macaque's eyebrows raised. Now that was an old memory unlocked. He smiled more. "I see the winds are already sharing all sorts of interesting things with you Xiaotian. Do you know where those words are coming from?" He leaned toward the cub, still clinging to his mama, and lowered his voice to a stage whisper. "They're coming from the past."
Mk tilted his head listening intently to Macaque with wagging tails. “Wind telling stories?"
"That's right," he said as he scooted forward. "The wind knows everything because it hears everything. It carries every word someone says. So it knows all of the stories and for monkeys like us-" he wiggles his ears, "it will sometimes share those stories."
“Like Mama peach and Baba blueberry!” Mk giggled.
"Exactly like that." He lets his tail come around and tickle the little one's nose. "That's something Baba and Mama would say to each other a long, long time ago bud. The wind thought you might like to hear that story."
“Story!” Mk cheered settling in Wukong’s lap before a loud and hungry growl came from Wukong’s stomach making the golden monkey blink and blush a deep tomato red in embarrassment.
Macaque blinked before snickering. "Sorry bud, looks like story time has to wait. Looks like your Mama started getting hungry again." He said, standing. "Be right back Peaches." He took two steps forward into a shadow and fell through. Once he arrived in the kitchen, he quickly grabbed a few fruits (mostly stone fruits, but there were a couple of bananas in there,) into a bowl. He didn't think Wukong would need to be hand-fed after his stomach made a sound that loud. But just in case he grabbed a small place where he could sit and cut fruit this time if he needed to. When he returned to the room, he sat the bowl on the nightstand next to the glass of water that had been refilled after he'd changed the bandages. He grabbed the peach he'd placed on top of the pile and offered it to Wukong. "You up to eating yourself this time?"
“I can eat on my own,” Wukong replied taking the fruit in hand and biting right into it consuming the flesh and seed with ease.
Macaque frowned, rolling his eyes. "Really? You're gonna teach the kid to do that if you keep it up."
Wukong grimaced at that. ‘Right… monkey see monkey do…’ Wukong recalled the old saying. “Dont repeat what Mama just did starlight,” Wukong advised the cub with a boop to the nose.
"Right, so you wanted a story." Macaque said, sitting back down as he looked at the little cub. "The story behind Papa Blueberry and Mama Peach is a simple little story. It might not be a story you'd find that fun to listen to," he admitted. He was sure he could make it sound more interesting than just the two of them flirting over a millennia ago, but his cub was so young, he wasn't sure he'd be interested in what was essentially a love story. Even if it was an old romance story.
Wukong silently tuned out the old memory of a story while Mk listened rather intently with wagging twin tails. ‘Macaque always did have a knack for weaving epic tales from simple actions.’ Wukong recalled as he silently devoured the bowl of fruit leaving behind the seeds he wasn't supposed to eat that his seven immortalities made the issue a moot topic for him.
Spinning a tale to entertain a child was simple for him. He fell easily into his storyteller's voice as he talked, dramatizing events from so long ago he only half-remembered them, playing more into the silliness into the whole thing in an attempt to make it more comedic for his baby. He even directed his child's eyes towards a wall, letting shadow figures play across it to aid in his storytelling. He was pleased to see how much their child liked his impromptu play. Story done, he dismissed the shadow monkeys on the wall. "As I said, not the most exciting story. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. Next time I can tell you a more exciting tale, how's that sound?"
Mk clapped his hands. “Baba shadow puppet master!” Mk grinned before he let out a rather large yawn showing off his milk fangs while rubbing at his eyes.
“Someone is ready for their nap.” Wukong hummed in amusement.
Macaque's tail flicked in pleasure as he reached over and placed his hand on the side of his little cub's head, gently stroking sensitive those little ears. "I'd say that was a good bedtime story. Why don't I take you back to your room so you can get that nap?"
Mk reached for Macaque purring as he snuggled into the silky black fur.
Macaque purred back, petting the little one's head. "Be right back Sunshine. Want me to grab you more food, or are you good?"
“I’m full,” Wukong replied to the question, watching as Macaque left through his shadows. ‘Now… time to investigate what I can reach.’ Wukong thought in determination, turning his gaze to the shackle on his ankle. ‘That needs to go but I need something to break it.’ Wukong planned as he got up from the bed making his way to the desk under the window only for the chain to go taunt.
