Ladies and Gentlemen and those who know better, we are beyond grateful to welcome you to the first ever fashion show held in the Mahogany Hall. The Dye-Stained Socialite and The Boisterous Author have put their great talents together to give style the spotlight it so very well needs~

opened tiktok (mistake number one, i know) and immediately saw someone saying that Thomas Hutter subverts the "disbelieving husband" trope which... listen i love a thoroughly pathetic mess of a man myself and i get that Ellen's other option is a 400yo evil corpse, but can we please not give him credit for things he didn't do?..

the literal inciting incident of the story is that Thomas DOESN'T listen to Ellen. he doesn't believe her. she tells him that she's got a bad feeling about this trip, begs him not to go, tells him about her nightmare - and what does he do? he calls it a childish fantasy, tells her to stop worrying, and implies that she would benefit from talking to a doctor. saying shit softly doesn't make it any less dismissive or insulting, like i'm sorry but this is peak Disbelieving Husband in a Horror Movie behaviour. he only changed his mind once Orlok put him through the horrors himself, which is also a perfectly standard thing for a Disbelieving Husband to do in the second act. furthermore, from the beginning of the film, he neglects Ellen's emotional needs, is uncomfortable with her abnormalities, and doesn't even really know what sort of gifts she likes - and again, these are all standard flaws for a Disbelieving Husband to exhibit. they're indicative of a disconnect between him and his wife that he continuously refuses to bridge.

caring for someone doesn't mean you can't neglect or harm them, and that applies to everyone - including Normal People like Thomas, like Harding, like Sievers, like the viewer; and that's the point of the film

Something about Sang-woo that's really fucking me up is that his face and his whole look is really soft. Like you'd think it's sharper because of his character and personality but it really isn't. Like whenever I draw him I catch myself drawing him with a lot of sharp features and then I'm like "No, make it rounder, make it softer". Even his hair is very soft and has round shapes, Even his glasses, while being square in shape Have Round Edges!!! I don't know if that was intentional and if yes what exactly it's supposed to show. Maybe it's literally just because Park Hae-soo was the best actor for the role and that's just what his face looks like. But either way I love the contrast. How a character that appears (!!!) so sharp and not that caring has such soft features. Which tbh that fits again because deep down I think Sang-woo is a soft caring person, he's just not showing it because he probably feels like it will make him appear weak or some dumb shit like that. Beloved <3

Also compare it to In-ho who has very sharp and angular facial features. Even his hair is a lot less soft when he's the frontman, he only makes is softer when he pretends to be Young-il!!! That's what a villain usually looks like. So in conclusion, Sang-woo can't be a villain in Squid Game cause his face is too soft for that <3 /hj

Eddie hears another sigh come from the bedroom.

‘Baby? C’ere.’ He calls out.

Steve shuffled through. Still in his socks, and his slacks undone. Monster of a pout on his lips.

‘What’s wrong honey?’ Eddie asks, trying not to smile as he looks up at Steve and takes his hand.

‘I don’t wanna go see my stupid family.’ Steve huffs. ‘And m’shirts tight.’ He mumbles, pulling the front down.

Eddie hums and stands, tucking Steve’s shirt in with deft fingers and doing up his fly for him. Steve lets him, still pouting but his cheeks a little pink.

‘Well, I think you look very pretty in your dress shirt baby.’ He says cupping Steve’s stomach where is pushes rounded and doughy against the buttons. ‘I think you should go and be your sweet lovely self, show off your chubby belly to everyone because I know how proud you are of it.’ He squeezes, looks into Steve’s face. His pout finally gone, eyes all glassy and mouth parted in a soft little ‘o’. Perfect.

Eddie leans in, ghosts his lips ever Steve’s. ‘And when you get home Daddy’ll put you on your hands and knees where you belong, yeah? Worship you like the good boy you are.’ Eddie connects their lips, swallowing Steve’s moan.

‘That a deal stevie?’ He asks, pulling his face away gently.

Eddie watched him, obviously weighing up if he can get what he wants without having to go to his family’s holiday party. Eddie waits, raises an eyebrow.

‘Yes Daddy.’ Steve finally huffs, burying his head in Eddie’s shoulder and heaving a final massive sigh. ‘I’ll go put my shoes on then, I guess.’

‘Atta boy. Sooner you go the sooner you can come back yeah?’ Eddie says, slapping Steve on the ass as he shuffles away.

Eddie says goodbye at the door, zipping Steve’s coat up for him. ‘It’ll just be a couple hours okay?’ Steve says, more for himself than Eddie.

‘’Cause, and I’ll be here the moment you get back.’ Eddie kisses him on the cheek and Steve leaves with only a little pout.

Personally the biggest fan of people who take one look at prismo and go “yeah nah hes gotta be square” and give him the most angular jawline and draw him all funky like a cube. I eat that shit up
