Summary: it's the mid-late 1990's and Eddie owns a mechanic garage/tow truck service with his Uncle Wayne. Reader is an artist who gets a flat tire on the freeway, and the rest is kismet. Lots of sexual tension, biker bad boy Eddie with a soft heart, both not sure how to navigate this adult crush they have on each other, amidst other complications. No Vecna, and they all met when they were young, but as very different people. Eddie and Steve are heavily tattooed and grew up in the MC life. Although Steve and Eddie's characters verge on OOC, I really try my best to keep them canon at their core. There will be dark themes later in this fic: cheating (not on reader), violence, allusions to domestic abuse, etc, so please continue with caution. Appearances by uncle Wayne, and eventually some other ST characters. Plenty of references for SOA fans to enjoy, though I don't go into detail about their ranks and whatnot. Eddie is in his early 30’s and reader is late 20’s to early 30’s.

meu deus que coisa difícil, tô suando igual em entrevista de emprego...

eu acho que eu já falei isso, mas eu fico ensaindo (sussurrando) as falas das personagens que eu coloco nas minhas fics ou hc pra ver se soa legal, e pra parecer o mais natural possível. aí eu fico igual o meme daquela mulher da novela falando sozinha;

eu tenho ideia de coisas pra escrever o tempo todo, qualquer coisa me dá inspiração, mas nem tudo eu acabo escrevendo ou escrevendo até o final (minhas longfics cof cof). fica tudo guardado nas pastas mentais do meu cérebro, aí aleatoriamente eu lembro de um plot às duas da madrugada;

se eu não fizer playlist, ou pasta no pinterest, se eu não tiver pelo menos um layout pro post, eu não consigo escrever o hc ou a fic.

Amy Jo Johnson lançou uma série de três singles depois de mais de mais de uma década de hiato na carreira musical. Para quem não sabe, Amy Jo Johnson é a pink ranger original, Kimberly. Eu sabia que a artista em questão se aventurou na música indie. Na verdade, eu lembro a primeira vez que a ouvi cantar, que foi justamente em um episódio dos Power Rangers. Depois, em Felicity, Amy Jo interpretou uma garota hesitante com ambições musicais. Também lembro do filme para a TV, Sweetwater, sobre a banda que abriu Woodstock, em que ela cantou e verdade para interpretar a vocalista. Em resumo, eu considerava que ela tinha uma voz bonita. Mas eu acompanhei essa carreira musical? A resposta é não. Vejamos, Amy Jo lançou o primeiro disco, de uma discografia de três itens, em 2001. Neste mesmo ano, as minhas atenções musicais estavam voltadas quase que exclusivamente para o mercado brasileiro.

Eu “redescobri” Amy Jo faz uns dois anos por causa dos quadrinhos. O caminho desse reencontro foram as redes sociais. E foi por meio delas que fiquei ciente dos três singles recém-lançados de Amy Jo: Still Here, Sunlit e Fly by Fairytales, todas produzidas por Nick Marzock. As três músicas estão disponíveis nas redes de streaming, que no meu caso é a Amazon Music... por culpa da Alexa. Dos três singles, Fly by Fairytales definitivamente não é o meu estilo, porque soa dramática demais. As demais canções, Still Here e Sunlit, por outro lado, trazem um refinamento interessante. Para quem gosta de referências, esses dois singles têm um pezinho no indie dos anos 1990. Talvez seja apenas a minha impressão, mas a música de Amy Jo tem certa proximidade com o trabalho de Natalie Merchant e os 10000 Maniacs, em especial no single Still Here. Lembra daquele acústico?

Still Here, pelo que eu entendi, é uma composição antiga que recebeu recentemente uma nova roupagem. Definitivamente é a minha favorita. Menos por conta da letra que é, de certa maneira, sobre resiliência. Mais pela interpretação segura na bonita voz de Amy Jo e nos arranjos sóbrios. É música de qualidade que definitivamente já foi inclusa na minha playlist. Sunlit também é uma canção interessante, mais próxima do folk-indie atual, e que poderia ter ficado melhor ainda se não fosse o raio do violino sobressaltante. Falo sério! Não é porque estou internalizando Douglas Adams, mas se o violino fosse subtraído do arranjo, teríamos uma canção mais sequinha e redondinha.

Amy Jo Johnson pode ter se voltado novamente ao universo ranger, mas o trabalho artístico dela vai além da Kimberly. Como cantora e compositora, Amy Jo se sai muito bem. O que ela precisa é de uma grande vitrine, mesmo entre os indies.
