Role Play rules, kinks, and muses.

This wasn't going to be an RP blog, but I have so many of them at this point here's a primer.

First things first, I'm not a very picky person. There are a few exceptions but if I list a Series I'll RP for, chances are any character you can think of I'm OK with.

NEED!

If you want to RP with me this is the #1 thing I need, and that is communication. At any post we need to be able to stop and message each other ideas or miscommunications to keep everything going smooth. Let me be clear, I said 'post' not 'time', obviously real life happens, you don't always feel up for it, that's all fine, let's not bug each other. I just mean you have to be willing to stop the back and forth and just message back and forth a bit as the story needs.

Also just to be clear, 18+ ages everyone, for all characters. I don't really mind much as long as there's a clear distinction between fantasy and reality, but this is Tumblr not some hentai site, I do not want to risk anyone seeing that that finds it disgusting.

...Also if we are talking smut or anything like it you must be 18+ as well. That should go without saying but I'm saying it anyways.

Preference

Like I said I'm not picky, so these are things I prefer.

Smut. Will do no-smut, happily it's fun at times. But I prefer smut because it's something a story can always fall on. Awkward miscommunication? Odd phrasing? Misunderstood sentence? Start stripping!

I prefer playing girls at this point, but it's a SMALL preference.

OC's are fine but I don't play them, and keep your OC's few in number and under control. I don't want to have to read an essay for an RP.

Not a huge fan of Yaoi stuff. My preference in smut is straight or futa girl, for the relationship yuri, straight, or futa. Again will try it but it will be the last on my list.

Will play multiple characters if needed, and I prefer doing that then the other way around since it gives me more to think and write about.

Themes of domination. Again I do NOT need this, but much like the smut thing I like it as a fall back, if there's an awkward step in a story, having one character tell the other what to do or want to be told makes it much easier for both sides in my experience.

Muses

Series I'll RP for.

RWBY, no Jaune. He just REALLY bores me. Prefer yuri or futa/girl couples.

Fire Emblem except for New Mystery.

Miraculous Ladybug because I find it funny. I am very pro Marinette, not as big on Adrien, keep that in mind.

Bleach. LOVE Bleach. Yoruichi, Orihime, Unohana, and so many others perfect 10's.

Danny Phantom, look below

Kim Possible. Different series but DP and KP are two series I love and love to play with. DP I prefer Danny getting nice things and Kim being happy, even if she's 'beaten'.

Naruto and One Piece I know and will try.

MHA, lottsa hot girls.

Code Geass. Love it, but I stick with just the anime, no manga, movies, or author quotes. I love some of them but I ain't picking and choosing.

Winx Club, specifically the Winx or Trix.

Harry Potter. Luna is best girl just FYI, and deserves to be loved and 'loved'.

ATLA, no comics though thank you.

KOTOR, specifically 1 and 2. Not big on Star Wars in general but KOTOR is my baby and the sequel is pretty great as well.

Pokemon. I prefer the humans but some levels of Pokephelia are OK.

Metroid, or more like Samus. Love Samus, second favorite gaming character, of either gender. Only after Amaterasu from Okami, but Okami doesn't really fit the RP style unfortunately.

Persona 3! I want that distinction, I'll also do 4, and after I replay 5 I'll add that to the list, but P3 is the best and my favorite.

That time I got Reincarnated as a Slime, lottsa fun there.

Legend of Zelda, just in general.

Megaman Starforce. No one will ever do this one, and I think I'd actually prefer this not to be smut(and if it is no FM/AM having sex with humans thank you. That's just squick to me). But I'll put it on the list.

BANNED KINKS

Like I've said a few times, I'm pretty chill about things. I have very few hard 'no's'. You want bestiality, pokephelia, incest, cheating, rape? All things I'm OK with, heck I like cheating and to a lesser extent incest for smut(again, for smut. I support none of these things in real life).

But I do have limits.

Nothing sexual and damaging. You want Character A to beat Character B, cut them with a knife, and break their arm? Go ahead. You want Character A to fuck Character B like a whore? Yay! You want both at the same time? NO!

No blood play, no choking(that is more dangerous then people thing), no scarring, nothing like that. Spanking, paddling, wax play, that's all fine, some pain can be sexy, but nothing that could actually cause damage.

Related you can do stuff like kick someone's balls or whatever, it's fine, but it will not be 'pleasurable'. That is damaging, it can be done to punish someone, as torture, just as long as it's outside that person also getting off on it.

I really want to be clear here, a lot of my muse series are violent in some way, Fire Emblem has war, Bleach people get eaten by monsters, RWBY the characters are trained to slaughter, I like that. But there is a clear difference between violence, sexy, and combining the 2.

Unrelated but also banned are real people or live action stuff. There's a reason all of my muses are in some way animated. I don't think it's morally wrong to use a character just because it's played in live action, but I personally do not like it. And I won't do real people at all.

Preferred Kinks

Look at the other stuff I said, I'm not picky. But if your idea has these things, I'm going to be more into it.

Dom/Sub, as I've said.

Group dynamics. Harems, poly, just friends being around. You can focus on 1 pair of people, but I still like other characters being around.

Breeding talk. Don't need to actually happen, just being mentioned in some way, threatened or promised or plans made.

Seduction, Character A being so sexy Character B just NEEDS them after a point.

Cucking, I don't know, I like this. Whether the cuck is into it, humiliated, whatever. If I like a character chances are I like them cucking or being cucked, don't know what to tell you.

Powers Play. If Character A is super strong, use that. If Character B>>>Character A, let that be a factor. These abilities or just a difference in power should be part of them.

Little kinks.

Just a list of kinks that would make me go 'Oh?' And raise an interested eyebrow but not alone sell me on an idea.

General cheating, incest, public sex, 'marking' like hickies and bite marks, teasing, in RP talking about loving/fucking, gossip, teaching, threesomes, lots of cum, big but not absurd sizes(foot dick, eh ok, 16 inches go back. That kinda thing), pet play, titfucking, assjob, denial, biting that doesn't break skin(I guess unless you're a vampire?), interracial, first time for one person but not the other, one person has a LOT of experience but not the other (no relation), degradation, praise kink.

Hellooooo I am Silvkatt! I’m also often known as Nekovo on discord! So if you’ve seen me in skycord before, hi!!! I’m your resident chaotic cat-loving artist who does artist things like going mad over art!

Oh absolutely, I actually have one halfish-finished (The questions May Be Doubled. but its also about the experience so some of the questions is less questions and more of "Experience"), but I haven't gotten around to my nth reread to double check my answers+ add some Specific Questions, since this one includes spoilers.

and is like/ way more stylistic which surprisingly, webnovel readers seem to Not Like. Though. to everyone who has English as a second language. I formally apologize for my usage of English. Fluent speakers barely understand me. It's a personality flaw. It WILL be worse in this second quiz.

(If you didn't want a kin quiz and somehow remember my one off suggestion of making a "Would you survive ORV" quiz, that's been merged with the above mentioned quiz. So that might explains things.)

Anyways if you mean "Make an extensive quiz for a different fandom" I unfortunately don't have any fandoms that either have the people (Obscurity win!) or the substance to make a quiz off (Vocaloid loss!), but if you ever see me talk about something I like (i.e. webnovel/series) I could absolutely do it.

(Actually thinking about the list of fandoms that I'm deep enough in to make a quiz, a lot of them is hard to imagine kinning in since they're world building focus and theres like. what. 4 characters. but trying to write them out like "Fandoms" I'm really only into Vocaloid for creation reasons, while the rest i just "enjoy". BUT. There are some I'm willing to go deeper in. However. Like.........

Persona 3 (The problem with this one is... Actually there isn't a huge problem with this one. BY THE WAY I ONLY LIKE 3. I have not touched 4 and 5, and that being said. havent played it since like. high school so. anyways, I feel like the biggest roadblock is that, the MANNER I like p3 is different, but after considering it I COULD. if people asked me to, but It won't be as.................... Strange as the ORV one. maybe that's preferable actually.)

Vocaloid (look man. I'll be so fucking honest with you. hate vocaloid personality quizzes. Hate pushed fanon, Vocaloid is nebulous to me. they're both everythign and nothing. "Ohh but what about kagerou or evillous" they are DERIVATIVES not the mascot themselves. I could assign vibe wise but we both know "vibe" just mean its a personality assignment. Lets Be Real)

Natsume Yuujinchou (The problem here is like....................... the differences between the minor characters becomes a bit.. muddled. and i feel like save for four characters, all the questions and answers would just be muddled nonsense)

Twisted wonderland (I'm already getting problems from just writing fics for this fandom. I'm not about to multiply the few "This quiz is stupid fuck you" questions to those people. I have Certain Inclinations It WILL be worse than ORV. Stares at a specific anon hater. Reading comprehension can be interesting here. 💖)

How to Live as the Enemy prince (actually. fucking bet. the fandom is thriving thanks to the webtoon adaptation. My personal favorite webnovel. but I may be guilty of bias. I'm not saying its the best. but yknow what, I might do this. Eventually. I HAVE to fix my mtl of the novel so I can better check whatever I make from it. I'm so stupid lol)

D. Gray man (if you've read d/gray man I feel like you can somewhat understand that I have no idea how to approach this quiz/ For multiple reasons. In no way can it ever be spoiler free lol.)

In the third category is my forever uncompleted 3 year old basement quiz which is a "I recommend you a personalized webnovel based on your answers to these questions" However it both is. Several times longer than the kin quiz, I also keep getting caught up in re-reading/finding new novels. That Is a Problem. I'm pretty sure my spreadsheets are backlogged on novels by now. ALSO. PAYING FOR WEBNOVELS IS SO EXPENSIVE. Kim Dokja would STARVE if TWSA was paid content good lord. Some novels cost 100$+ to buy in their entirety, which yeah I understand they're weekly/monthly uploads so the payment spreads out and etc etc. (this is probably why physical releases are so much preferable if possible ngl, unless you're insane. Like me. ANd like. may or may not have purchased physical novels from overseas from a limited release print. in a language you are totally not fluent in. but hey, thats just average webnovel reader things. like good god it's way more painful trying the other way. i think. possibly/ definitely not. but hey. ALSO UQUIZ!!!! ADD WEIGHTED QUESTIONS ALREADY!!! ! SOME ANSWERS ARE WAYYYY MORE IMPORTANT!!! I debated just having like double questions like "Do you like romance to be prevalent" -- > "Is it important that romance is prevalent" Just to make the answer count for double. BUUTT I ended up adding a subsection that is "You got this result but here are some answers that are alternatives if "X" is missing, with like a short guide to the novel. WITH PROPER SUMMARIES. good god you can't just recommend stories going like "You should read this! IT's GAY!" but then again gay webnovels half of the time that IS the summary but let's not judge me and my reading diversity.

ANYWAYS missing the point there, honestly I just thought after that First Big Quiz, only like 3 people would be interested so I kinda forgot about it. too. also working on a fangame (not orv) and studying so my time management is kind of also crap.

canon divergent: i only take the following things as canon:

persona 3 / fes / reload / anime (willing to interact with femc but i have never played p3p and do not know the dynamics. read a bit of the mangas. someday i might play it but there are things stopping me.) I mainly follow reload as i have just finished it. there are some things i vastly prefer in other versions of the story though so i can be a little choosy.

persona 4 / golden ( i have never played golden though i do want to. i haven't played persona 4 in over ten years so my memory isn't great on it. that is why i did not put any p4 muses until i do play it.)

persona 5 / royal. All my p5 muses are based on royal and I see it as more canon than the original. That being said, my Joker is called Akira Kurusu and he is MINE. I do not follow the anime as I did not enjoy their version of him.

Meta Rules:

I am a disabled person. I go through bouts of being unable to be active or social. I have been struggling with this my entire life. I could list the things I think are important to talk about but I really don't think I have to justify things. If you want to know I will tell you. It greatly effects my ability to be social at times and my amount of energy. Please respect this. I try not to just vanish, but it can happen. I will always try to communicate when this happens. All I ask is to be treated with empathy and respect. I can say when this acts up, I can be prone to not great behaviors. I have been manipulated and hurt during these episodes. If you become mains or start shipping with me and then never reply or talk to me, I'll remove you from my list. Shipping or being mains should be the start and not the end. yes hello i only ever done fanfiction ONCE on tumblr so forgive me.

The Cognitive net; a Persona 4 and Persona 5 cross over fanfic with OCs. Summary:

When a string of missing persons cases all seem to be linked by a far too familiar rumor, detective shirogane tries to enlist the help of her old investigation team. Unfortunately, not all of the original members are able to make it to shibuya-the sight of the latest case- but she finds help from an unexpected hacker and her friends. Elsewhere, a small team of brand new persona users have already figured out the “cognitive web” and it’s strange search engine. Will detective Shirogane and the hacker Alibaba discover the new group of heroes in time to realize this case is not city wide, but WORLD wide?

Chapter 1: intro/Logging in

“This is a bad idea.” yuki thought as he gripped his phone a bit tighter.

Sitting in the café he knew his friends used to hang out in all the time was calming him like he had hopped it would be, but the very idea of what he was doing was making the task near impossible.

“I heard if you go to this website, Cogntive.net, a search engine will come up and it will give you anything you want!”

The voice of the gossiping girl rang in the former high schooler’s head as he took a sip of coffee.

“No way, that’s ridiculous! I heard it can give you what you want with just a one word search too. I call bull shit.”

Yuki carefully typed the URL on Le Blanc’s Wi-Fi. Something spurred him on as he hit enter.

“This feels familiar…” he thought as the black screen with the bold white letters came up. “…I have to stop. This isn’t going to end well…” he set the cup down and stared at the screen a moment longer.

It had been two years since the blood rain and the bone like structures. He wasn’t sure why he was able to remember it all- when he had asked others he knew were there and he knew who saw it they acted like it didn’t happen.

The white letters burned into his eyes. “What are you looking for?” it asked. The chatter of the TV and other café goers drowned out the dark blue haired boy’s voice of reason. As memories of his second year of high school and events that surrounded it flooded his mind he found his fingers hovering over the key board his phone provided. He didn’t even remember tapping the text box under the words.

{Answers}

The world around him grew silent the instant he hit enter, as if the café had to pause to acknowledge him and the horrible mistake he made. When yuki looked up from his phone he saw it was just him and his booth- the coffee cup and people all gone. All around him the world was dark with hints of red fog far too thin to see properly. He gasped and tried to stand up when a hand reached out from the screen of his phone.

“Answers? haha! Heres a few…” the hand grasped at Yuki’s Neck and made contact with his shirt collar. The boy reflexively braced himself against the booth table as the hand pulled down back towards the phone. “Yes. This was a bad idea.” The voice stated as it tugged with more force, but yuki pushed back with just as much strength. “yes. You should have stopped while you had the chance, Yuki.” The boy gasped again and shot up with enough force to drag more of the arm out of the phone. The voice was distorted and slightly staticy, but it was his without a doubt. “And the reason WHY it feels so familiar, Yuki Mishima…” the voice trailed off as the arm released him, sending him falling backward into what should have been the booth’s cushioned seat. Instead he was on the floor looking up in horror as the arm pushed against the table, from what he could see of his phone the screen and casing stretched like rubber and a second arm broke free.

“…is because it IS like two years ago! HAHA! That feeling of reality morphing around you? You’re experiencing it all over again!” the second arm gripped the phone case as yuki back pedaled away. “And the reason why YOU remember, why YOU are the ONLY one out side of the phantom thieves to remember it all-“ a head broke though the screen, the sound of something shattering and the feeling of shards breaking apart in mishima’s heart and mind caused the boy to freeze in his tracks “-is because we have unfinished business, Me!” the yellow eyes of yuki’s shadow stared at him with a mix of excitement…and anger.

else where, a group of friends chatted away at both some ungodly hour of the night and a reasonable time of day.

“Ugh I just want to reach this level! Why do I have to wait 3 hours to gain EXP in this stupid game?” the young man ruffled his hair, causing his head set to shift and the mic to brush his cheek a few times.

“Dude calm down.” a younger voice laughed over the headphone speakers.

“hes just frustrated he can’t push forward. It’s a magician thing, we wouldn’t understand.”

“wait hold on, does that mean I’m The Magician?” the boy leaned forward and gripped his computer chair as the various voices in his headset laughed. “Alpha don’t mess with me!”

A girl laughs a little harder at the comment. She leans back in her chair and reaches for a small toy rabbit and fiddles with it. Chelsea smiles as her friends continue to tease the second oldest of their group over his obsession with the various arcana she revealed they all represent.

“Jake, if anyone’s the Magician its me!” a clearly snarky voice purred into her mic.

Janae turned in her computer chair, propping her legs up over one arm and dangling the rest of her upper body over the other arm.

“Oh really? What makes you so sure?” Jake closes out his computer game and clicks around his screen, checking tabs to see if there is anything interesting on them. The answer is no.

“cause I’M the sexy one and everyone knows Magicians are sexy as fuck!”

“uh-huh. Sure.”

The voice chat grows a little quit at the soft voice. Isaiah taps his pencil on his note book as he struggles to understand his maths homework.

“so how are those numbers treating you, Click?”

“About the same as your boyfriend treats you, Skitty.”

“ooohh!”

“sick burn!”

“its funny cause I don’t have one lol!”

The chat erupts with laughter as the youngest of the group goes back to his work. To be honest it was a funny joke and as long as he kept comments like that heterosexual then he wouldn’t be crossing any lines. It wasn’t something he thought much of, but the brit took pride in the fact that he knew Skitty’s secret of being bi- he was honored that she trusted him with that knowledge and wouldn’t do anything to betray her.

“haha, guess that means you’re stuck again Click?” jake decided to close out his 5 tabs and just keep the voice chat open as he pulled out his phone. He glanced at an orange and green icon on his desktop before unlocking the hand held device.

“….Erica lives in London and wants to hold a video chat with her business partner, Richard in Michigan. Erica is available from 0600 to 2000 and Richard is available from 11am to 8pm. Knowing the difference in time zones, what would be a good time for the two to have a 3 hour video call?...”

The voices was silent, listening intently to the problem. The barrier of math between the different countries rarely got in the way when it came to explaining the word problems. Although most of the time no one knew the answer, reading the question out load and hearing his friends discus it cleared his head and helped him figure out the problem.

“Dude why the H did your teacher put military time in that question?” Skitty moaned as she pulled out her phone and tapped the calculator app.

“probably to make him think more. I bet the answer is really simple once you calculate the time.” Jake was already translating the time on his phone, eyes flicking to the desktop icon again- he had a strange impulse to look at it, even though if anything would happen it would send an alert that’ll take up most if not all of his computer screen.

“wait. Isn’t alpha from Michigan?” Skitty flips herself back into a proper position in the chair.

“no shes from Japan.” Jake mutters as he pulls up the voice chat’s text box and types the numbers his calculator gives him. it was simple math he could easily do in his head but some things are just that trivial.

“nooo,” Isaiah moved his pencil to wag it at the computer screen “shes FROM Michigan, but shes STAYING in Japan with a family friend.”

“[that’s right]” Alpha tested the very little Japanese she knew. The chat gasped and giggled. Placing the rabbit toy back on her desk she paused as the very sudden swear from the other American.

“Shit! The site got a hit!”

All at once the sound of keys typing and well warn and used mouse clicking filled the voice chat. Jake stared intently at his computer screen while Click and Skitty readied themselves. Alpha pinged them with a string of numbers.

“I traced the IP address. Good Job Jake, this thing is actually really easy to use!”

“No problem!... so it looks like they haven’t entered anything into the search bar yet…”

Janae licked her lips nervously; she hoped against the enviable- that this person was using the rumored “miracle search engine” to find something only their shadow could give them. She didn’t understand much about it, being the latest member and all, but what she did understand was if people go to the cognitive net search engine and enter something vague like a one or two word search the site would bring them to their shadow- an exaggeration of their inner thoughts and heart. Hers was a doppelganger of herself with cute kitty ears and yellow eyes. In the end the Admins (that’s what they called themselves) arrived and talked down her shadow. It wasn’t something she wanted other people to see but talking to complete strangers made accepting the hyper dumb scatter brained cat as a part of her. She insisted on joining them after that, I mean what else would she do? She ended up getting a persona after all. Gatta use it for something…

“Hey cool! The IP is a café! They’re on public wifi! If they have a shadow this will make it much easier to find their dungeon!” Isiah bounced in his seat at this realization. “…huh. Le blanc. That’s such a French sounding name for a place in Japan!”

“Japan?” Chelsea relaxed a bit, her white knuckled grip on the computer mouse loosening. “that’s… that’s like the 4th one.” She pondered this a moment before Jake’s voice boomed in her ears.

“They’re typing in the search bar! Get ready to jump guys!” Jake was the computer wizard of the group. It was terrifying the things he could do with whatever he did with his computer. Alpha and Click always asked to try and understand but never could. He swallowed the frog in his throat as he watched the victim’s screen. “They’re accessing from a cell phone…” he muttered into his mic. He had everything he needed when it came to this kind of stuff and was prepared for the worse but that never made it easier.

{Answers}

“Shit.” Was the collective reaction at the one word search quarry. Double clicking the orange and green icon on their desk tops, the four friends were warped into the cognitive web- the inner workings of the internet and cyber space made physical.

The trip to the cognitive web felt like having a heavy blanket wrapped around you before being pushed off your bed- you’re half aware of your surroundings, half dreaming, but 100% confused. For AlphaDawg and her right hand man ClickClickBoom the confusion was no longer a thing. This would be rescue number 10 and the pair landed with ease, their respective ‘Avatars’ shaping with quick blinks of binary. For J4K3-06 and xXSkittyXx, the trip was much rougher. J4k3 tumbled into existence, his avatar appearing more like a glitch. As for Skitty, this was her first ever mission, her first ever trip into the web. With a shout of panic she fell from the digital sky, her body flickering into what she’ll look like on the internet.

“Hang on Skitty! I got ya gurl!” Click leaped forward, the fire design on his sneakers flickering like actual flames as he sped up to catch her in time.

The pair ended up crashing into the ground anyway, but Skitty had a much softer landing than Click. The sound of static filled the area as Skitty sat up, her avatar struggling to form.

“Did I break it? I just got here! Ugh this blows…” the girl grumbled as the boy under her groaned.

“No, just… focus on something. You’re thinking too much.”

Staring at her hands the second youngest of the Admins focused on nothing in particular. She mostly cleared her head and thought about what she really wanted to be in this world. A hero came to mind, but the image of an Idol came next. Cute outfits, boys going goo goo crazy, bright lights and being the center of attention? Hell yeah! She would make a great idol!

Instantly the binary pixilated and formed before a proper avatar replaced the girl. She sprung to her feet and let out a victorious yowl.

“nayn!~ I’m adorable!” she spun in a circle, taking in her very cat like idol outfit.

“oh good! Now you’re even MORE in that weird ‘I didn’t know Skitty was a pokemon’ hole you keep finding yourself in.” a robotic boy laughed as he helped haul the bomb themed boy to his feet.

“what do you mean? Ugh! Don’t tell me Skitty is some sort of pink cat!”

“it is. It also evolves into-“ Alpha was cut off at the pink of Skitty’s outfit shifted a shade.

“-a purple cat.”

“DAMN IT!”

The Admins laughed with their friend before addressing their leader. With a swift nod the wolf themed girl turned to reveal a pink rabbit that stood at her knee cap. The creature had a similar wolf/punk theme going for it, but in a much cuter way than the human.

“Alright Side Kick, what are we dealing with?”

“Actually, open the chat room first! I have a feeling our mysterious assistant is watching.” The toy motioned with their eyes to a random structure. When the group looked towards it they all stared with shock and awe. Stood on the comically thin antenna of a building was an equally comical stereotypically posed ninja. The group couldn’t make out any sort of details outside of the silhouette- it was like he knew what distance to be at to be in their render view but still be out of range.

Alpha regarded the ninja for a moment before nodding. The plan was to use the chat room to give Mr. Mysterious a chance to convene with them. She knew deep down he wouldn’t respond to anything they said, but essentially leaving the door open and hope he comes in from the cold wouldn’t hurt.

“Alright. Let the 10th rescue meeting begin, Cognitive Web Admins!”

Anthony - Originally my version of Anti, he’s now a sweet bean who really likes plants. In his backstory and the start of his story, he was found in a tiny pocket dimension inside his old apartment while he and the place around him fell into disrepair with the only thing truly alive being his plants. After losing his entire family, he was very fragile and hurt himself quite a bit, but my other characters rescued him and nursed him back to health and stability!

Onyx - My angsty punk dude who I adore. He is on the autistic spectrum and is mostly non-verbal, once going 4 months without speaking before breaking the silence to tell his best friend that Viggo Mortenson broke his toe in that one scene in Lord of the Rings. They have a twin sister who is 13 minutes older and a firm witch while he is a firm nonbeliever. Sometimes he goes to the junkyard with a baseball bat to let out their anger.

Leon - His backstory is very dark so I won’t get into it, but he’s a very shy bean with one arm and a love for sewing. He has the fluffiest light pink hair, and is just the embodiment of pastel.

Kyle - The older brother of the duo! He’s friends with Onyx and also has a punk look with spiked blue hair, but he’s an absolute sweetheart! He’s eight years older than his brother, and ran away with him when he was a newborn to escape their abusive mother. He raised Joey on his own in the streets, escaping care systems that would split them apart and shove them in to foster homes, and grew up to be completely independent, albeit unaware of what it is like to have a loving family besides his brother. He may be quick to resort to fight or flight to protect his brother and grumpy to strangers, but he’s built them a good life!

Joseph - The little brother! Joey is a smart little kid, (ranging from 10 - 14 depending) with very bright ginger hair and freckles. He’s on the far side of the autistic spectrum and is completely nonverbal, but he’s very expressive, spunky, and loving whenever he’s able to. He adores peanut butter and milkshakes, and would very happily have them six times a day. While he can’t speak, he will send Kyle countless facts from astronomy or marine life through text at any time of day or night. He’s always seen in his blue skateboarding frog hoodie, a beetle backpack filled with his supplies, and his headphones and tablet. He loves to draw and he’s great at it, and always draws sharks, especially whale sharks.

Caelan - Another punk, but this time in bird form. He is a griffin, and in some AUs a dude with prosthetic feet. He has messy blond hair covering his eyes and is based around an Egyptian falcon. He’s very quick witted and very annoying to people who don’t know him, but would go to hell and back for his family.

Marioma - The model of a modern major general- this dude is the only one like him, meaning he has no AU counterparts! He’s different from my other characters since he’s technically self-aware, and acts in my stories if and when I want him to! He’s a grumpy, determined dude who’s trying to quit smoking per request of his boyfriend, Arthur. Before him, he was a sly, hardened, and cunning man who needed someone to rely on who wouldn’t die on him.

Arthur - Foster fails: 5. He owns a bookstore in the universe he inhabits and, just like Mari, he’s one of a kind! He lives the ideal rainy city aesthetic, with an apartment above his store with open windows, plants, cosy blankets and homemade food, handmade clothing, and animals. He’s got curly hair and his scarf is his comfort item, and he takes in animals if and when he can. He and Mari just live a comfortable life :’)

Clyde - A duo with Anthony, he was originally a version of Henrik, but is now completely different. This boy is a classic OC and therefore my teenage angst punching bag. He’s a doctor in his husband Lucas’ mafia, and is very strong-willed and the biggest sweetheart. He has water powers that I always forget about, and could very easily drown someone if he wanted to. Besides that, he does cry a lot over small things, and Lucas has walked in on him crying over their cat in a business-tie.

Levi - If he and Clyde fused, they’d make Henrik. He’s my 55 year old doctor who just the embodiment of grumpy cat and expresso. He’s very lanky and has joint problems after trauma in his late 20s, and sometimes you can hear his bones cracking as he walks. He has, can, and will slap the sense into Clyde when he needs to and hated him to begin with, but warmed up to him. But, he’s completely different to his husband Sage, and in the end, is a very caring guy who won’t take any shit. He’s also therapist, and gives sessions to most of my OCs- (he’s also the doctor at the end of Don’t Leave! Dr Allison!)

Tyrell (Cloak) - So I split the same OC into two halves, essentially from two AUs but in one? They’re not twins, they’re the same guy with separate families but they’re the same. They’re both POC with the same face, hair texture etc. Cloak-Ty is very grumpy, and is called Cloak because of the cloak he wears in his fantasy-based AUs! He wears an eye patch and lost his eye depending on the AU, and went through a lot. You can tell he’s angsty because half of his hair is buzzed off. He tried to push away his now-husband Demitri, but luckily he’s an absolute himbo who doesn’t know when to quit, and eventually melted through the icy layer to a loving, sarcastic, hard-working man.

Tyrell (Ponytail) - Same as above description wise! He’s taller and buff with a ponytail. He went through the same backstory, but was found by Daniel who took him to Lucas’ mafia where they recovered together and eventually fell in love. Half of his face is badly burned and the eye has pin-hole vision, but it doesn’t stop him from being the best sniper on the team. When at home, he loves tea, hanging with his family, and painting. He’s amazing at watercolour and earns money on the side from selling his work! Sometimes he and Dan team up and draw together!

Bloodbranded:

Wayde - He lives in the Winter Forest Region and hunts for his family with his exceptional archery skills. He’s witty and pretty spontaneous, making him good under pressure, but incredibly reckless. He has a bad claw scar across his right eye which cuts into his hair, but he can see just fine! He has beautiful green eyes with central heterochromia, so they turn brown in the centre. While he may be annoying and hot-headed, he cares a whole bunch and grows as a person to fall in love with Milo. He’s a hopeless romantic and protective as all hell, even when Milo can handle himself just fine.

Felicity - She wasn’t born in the WFR like Wayde, she was adopted by her two mothers and is Wayde’s cousin! She’s a POC with beautiful dark skin, and her parents style her hair in unique braids that are decorated by gold rings. She’s a magic user and a very skilled one at that, even when she’d just started out, and wishes to revive the old form of magic that had been taken over by the modern, corrupted magic form that’s based entirely on nepotism. She uses a staff and a book, and is clumsy to start out, but soon becomes a mage to be admired, or feared if you’re an enemy!

Milo - Unlike Felicity and Wayde, he was born in the desert region, and ends up in the WFR by mistake (which is a vast change in temperature for him). Because of the contrast in temperature, he’s always wrapped up in winter clothes, even in places where the others are sleeveless, just because he’s spent his whole life in the heat! When he’s at home, he lives with his Mother and goes out to collect lightning glass after the nightly storms to sell and turn into jewellery or windows etc. Milo was born deaf and uses sign language to communicate. He’s smart, energetic, and excited to see new things, but can handle himself with ease, and knows how to take care of himself through quick thinking and fighting skills from living in the desert. When he and Wayde start dating, he likes coming up behind him and cuddling him or giving him quick kisses!

Prism - Much like their name, they are very colourful. They are a dragon hybrid and live in a kingdom of others like them, but unlike any other dragon, their scales are - like their name - prisms. They gradient between rainbows across their body, but each scale has a rainbow shimmer when they move. Their wings are like stained glass, and their hair (as of now, it might change) is like labradorite! Prism is mute and doesn’t express much, usually communicating through eye rolls. They live as the King’s new heir after he took them in as he believes Prism is the symbol of their kingdom and species’ beauty. Because of this, they are completely untouched by any blade and don’t have a single blemish or scar as to preserve them. Many guards have died to prevent them from obtaining even the slightest scratch. Beyond their anxiety, they join the crew and act as the voice/sign of reason! Even if they are assigned to their kingdom, they soon learn that their friends truly care about them more than their appearance.

BrArg Week 2020 Day 5: Royalty

Here's Rodrigo (nyo!Argentina) and Carolina (nyo!Brazil) as teenagers when they were getting allied around the 1860s. With some major creative liberties for their outfits and hairstyles lol it's not the most historically correct fashion (hiding her big beautiful hair in an updo would have been boring, let’s be real), but her dress is inspired by princess Isabel, daughter of Dom Pedro II.

Couldn't pass the opportunity to draw miss Brazil as a pretty princess when she was an empire 💖 But don't be fooled, she was actually very humble and down to Earth when she was with her people. She maintained a regal and prideful persona only when interacting with other countries, as to impose the respect she deserved. Especially because of her gender. It was hard work being a tough girl.

As you can see, Rodrigo isn't enjoying himself at all 😂 he’s still a bit cranky around strong girls, the Italian charm hadn’t influenced his character yet. For the record, just because two nations are allied it doesn't mean they're automatically friends or vice versa. Rodrigo and Carolina had grown alongside a strong historical rivalry, so being on the same side for once felt odd at the beginning. The war of Paraguay would bring them closer, momentarily, and they'd slowly build a better relationship since then, but they still had their reservations about each other. As you already know if you’ve read my previous brargweek prompts, building genuine trust and friendship would take a looong time for them, just like it happened to Xavier and Agustina.

Pu-erh tea: What is a book you can recommend to others?

Ooooh, thats a hard one

I think that would be "Monday begins on Saturday" by Strugatsky brothers

This book has one of the greatest integrations of actual physics in sci-fi genre

It's written with schoolchildren in mind, so the more in-depth knowledge of physics you have, the more clever this book reads

Although it also has a gigantic amount of puns and references to Russian culture, so it might make things a bit more complicated in translation

| CHARACTER STUDY |

>> Private Daniel Jackson [Saving Private Ryan]

>> Sergeant Hazel Parker [The Soldier of Stars - Band of Brothers Fic]

A little while ago, I was talking to Linda ( @wecomrades ) and she had just read of a portion of one of my Band of Brothers fics, The Soldier of Stars, where it portrays my main OC, Hazel Parker, who is a sniper, as whispering prayers each and everytime she shoots her rifle. And so she sent me a message, saying how it was very similar to Private Dnaiel Jackson of Saving Private Ryan. And I was like, OMG THATS WHO SHE IS BASED OFF OF! And well here we are!!

When I first started drafting The Soldier of Stars, it was under a different title, had more characters instead of my 3 now, and was sorta a mess, but I cleaned it up with help from a few writer friends. But Hazel always stayed the same - derived from the character of Private Daniel Jackson of Saving Private Ryan was what I always wanted to go for!! And I did!! For a while I had been planning a sort of almost character study to show Hazel’s similarities to Jackson, but never got the time. But now since our discussion, I have been more inclined than ever to finally do one!! Private Daniel Jackson is also my favorite Saving Private Ryan character, and I just KNEW I had to go along with it!! So without further adieu, please enjoy if you wish!! It’s not much, as I don’t want to spread this out, but it’s my general thought process that I had creating the tiny lil sniper I ADORE with all my heart - Hazel Parker. 💛

INTRODUCTION + BACKGROUND

When I first created Hazel Parker as a character, I wanted to create a quiet, introverted character that people of the more introverted side of the fandom could relate to - who was also a strong female character in her own ways, and also a pretty badass sniper :) So I drew inspiration from Private Daniel Jackson of Saving Private Ryan, pretty heavily - similar ways of seemingly approaching the war, firing their weapon and saying prayers to accompany it, being religious, sort of an quieter personality (they can do their job and do it well). I drew multiple different things from Private Daniel Jackson to add to Hazel Parker as a person and the outcome was exactly what I had hoped to get!

(1) This Is Just Pure Irony

When Hazel Parker was simply just an idea, with no name, no face claim, nothing really, I just spent time watching war films, gathering ideas, personalities, all of that. The name came to me one night a few minutes before I fell asleep and I really just loved the name ‘Hazel Parker’ together, because I felt it was fairly unique, yet it worked for many, many reasons. And then I went and rewatched Saving Private Ryan and found something out that I LOVED and still LOVE to this day.

The man who was up with Private Daniel Jackson in the bell tower was named Private Parker. And I honestly just love the irony and connection between that, because then I went and created my own Private [Hazel] Parker. I just loved it because Hazel is based off Private Jackson and then there was that connection and I just loved it! :)

(2) Religion

Private Daniel Jackson is described as a ‘devout Christian’ and he wears a cross as well as whispers prayers directly from the [King James Version] Bible before shooting his Springfield in combat, which is something paralleled with what I made Hazel do as well as a Christian.

As a child, Hazel had nowhere to look after her father left and Faith and God were really the only things she could follow after and look to, to guide her she felt because there was nowhere else to go and she felt so lost. This follows her into the war year with Easy Company and eventually into postwar.

But I used her description of being Christian to show the morals she held in war almost constantly and how she viewed the war and how God was with war.

One of the most pivotal scenes to describe this moment is between Hazel Parker and Shifty Powers in Bastogne (two who grow to become close friends), where Hazel is talking about how ‘God tells her to love her enemies’, but how can she do that when the enemy does cruel things such as this war? She has a power struggle with her Faith in God and in the reality of war and I present this struggle in many different situations - yet she still remains faithful in the end, which I love. God was there for her through her childhood and through war and she respects that.

(3) Prayer Whispers

Just like what I mentioned above, a bit, actually is the fact that like Jackson, Hazel is a Christian and similarly whispers prayers before each shot she takes in battle. For how morally coded she is, she is not a fan of death but knows she can not avoid it and whispering a prayer for the life she takes it better than saying nothing in her stance, wishing them well in the afterlife and hope God protects her afterwards for what she has done and committed.

Private Jackson - Psalm 25:2

“ O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.”

Corporal Hazel Parker - Not Specified

“ By God, rule me and guide me, ever this day, be at my side, to light and to guard.”

The examples above are just two excerpts of what both tend to say throughout the course of the book and movie and I think this was the major connection that many people made throughout the course of The Soldier of Stars was how Hazel reminded them of Private Jackson. And I felt super happy that in the end, that was what I had initially hoped for when I had started. It was a nice feeling to have.

(4) Motives

For me, I felt their motives were also very similar - that is Private Jackson and Corporal Parker.

In my own interpretation from when I saw Saving Private Ryan, Private Jackson just seemed like the sort of guy, who was there for his friends, highly caring, highly intelligent and skilled, he knew his place, and he had this sort of persona about him that said ‘I’ll go where ever the war takes me, as long as this rifle is in my hand.’ and Hazel is VERY similar to that in many senses.

Hazel Parker, who doesn’t exactly know her place in the beginning of the fic eventually does find her place, and then remains reliable, intelligent, skilled and focused in her position as she does so - along with the idea of ‘Wherever I go in war, I want my rifle in my hand.”

( Might I mention that both shoot with Springfield rifles ;) )

Even though Private Jackson has much more confidence than Hazel does, his confidence is just an outward confidence of her inward confidence. He speaks it, saying he could kill H*tler from a mile away. Now, Hazel would never say that, but she sure could easily think that. She knows by the middle of the book really she’s good and doesn’t need to say it, she just needs to have that confidence in herself - but it is a very similar sort of confidence overall.

(5) Just some Fun Facts!

It is said that Private Jackson was born in West Fork, Tennessee and I, coincidentally made Hazel Parker also born in Tennessee in Pigeon Forge! They have a bit of the Southern Charm.

Like I mentioned above - they both shoot with the exact same sort of Sniper Rifle - the M1903A4 Springfield Rifle and are highly outstanding marksman that both Captain Miller and Major Winters put faith in for the two of them in their separate ways.

They tend to be able to do solo missions, sometimes with or without a spotter. The M1903A4 Springfield Sniper rifle was used by the US Army during World War 2 and feds a 5 round magazine and is bolt action. And one of the things I liked about this rifle is you didn’t always quite need a spotter for it to be in use - most snipers have a spotter with them for calculations and such - but with this rifle, it is not always required, for if you need to drop and shoot, it still is effective.

Private Jackson does this many times, such as in the very beginning on D-Day on Omaha Beach as well as a bit later on when he faces off with a German Sniper in a downpour in Neuville. And then he continues again in the Bell Tower where he meets his death.

I portray Hazel as doing a very similar thing when she attacks with Easy Company in Brecourt Manor and is positioned up in a tree, before moving to the first gun - a spotter is not required for her to be effective. She does it again in various moments through out the Normandy Campaign such as during the Battle of Carentan, where she kills from above and in the Battle of Bloody Gulch. We see her again in action in Nuenen and throughout Market Garden and into The Island again where WInters has faith to send her up along the dike away from everyone else to battle.

The last time we see her in this position is in Bastogne in various, different situations where she is effective and makes it work - one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES actually. It is her night time solo mission to recover the body of Private John Julian, which she does with success and it is I feel one of the most pivotal moments for a character like her because by then we know she can fully handle herself in many, many ways. We see a bit of her inner battle there as well which I love because her mind is highly complex, congested and always in a mind-battle, but I love it and we really get to see her inner thought for what they are.

And, I also sorta based it on Physical Appearance - neither are exactly the biggest soldiers there - as that is where Hazel got ‘Tiny’ for a nickname really, but being tiny as a sniper works for Hazel because she can move around quickly and hide away easily as well, so her build was based similarly off of Private Jackson’s.

OH fun fact - it seemed to be that when it came to Jackson’s friends, he was not afraid to quite literally kill for them, Hazel was very much made the same way.

Something that goes off of this is Hazel’s repetition of the ‘bright green-eyed, German soldier’ she killed on her first day in the early hours of the morning. He haunted her in different ways throughout the war (she had killed him with a knife which she had the entire war) and by the end we see her confront the man who shot Chuck and put the knife that killed that German, to the man’s throat. By the end she throws down the knife as a signal that she won’t let the German with the bright green eyes follow her anymore, which gave me, personally, strong Jackson vibes in a way which I loved to write :)

HEY! so this was sort of my view I took on making Hazel Parker similar to Daniel Jackson in many aspects, just taking important bits and chunks that I noticed and incorporating it like that! I really enjoyed making this and Daniel Jackson had always been a huge inspiration so I was excited to make a character similar to him!! I do this with most of my OC’s in various degrees actually, but this one was on my mind for a while so I was excited to finally do it!! Huge thank you to Linda for being so interested in this topic and hyping me up for it!! I hope you enjoyed, my friend! <3

10. Zack Fair (FFVII) gif imagine

I really love this one because it’s like the definition of short and sweet. It’s adorable, warm and I think I got Zack’s characterization pretty well and I often reread it when I need a smile. I just love my boy Zack and how this little thing turned out.

9. Connor (DBH) prompt (”I shouldn’t be in love with you”)

The reason I love this one it’s because I wrote it as one of my favorite things to write: a character study. I tried to express Connor’s struggle as he develops feelings for the reader and how conflicted he would be to have fallen in love with someone, having developed such a human thing as feelings. One of the many reasons why I love Connor is because of his arc in the game, because of how guilty he feels for becoming deviant despite being the very android that hunts them, it just gets to me. I’m just really glad that I could explore that in this prompt and that I managed to show it properly as well as make this more angsty, since my specialty is usually fluff.

8. Yennefer (Witcher) prompt (”I shouldn’t be in love with you” “Are you jealous?” “I’m so scared”)

This is the only Yennefer request I’ve ever gotten (besides one for a dating would include that I had already written), and I had so much fun writing it! Yennefer has appeared in my Witcher writings a lot, but never as a main character and never as a love interest, so that’s why this was so cool! I think she’s a very interesting character, so I really enjoyed getting the chance to explore her personality. I love how it turned out because I think it’s the perfect balance between her being sly and also being loving and showing her feelings for the reader.

7. Too Nice (John Ambrose McClaren, TATBILB ficlet)

John Ambrose is another character I really like writing for. What can I say? I fell in love with him and it was great to write something for him. This is somewhere between love and almost hate, with a lot of misunderstandings and complex feelings that ultimately lead to a happy fluffy ending. He’s just the sweetest and it was curious to write his reactions to someone who doesn’t always respond well to his kindness, even if because it flusters them.

6. Special (Howl Pendragon, HMC ficlet)

And yet another character I love. It was a bit hard settling on just one version of the character, because I love both the movie and book versions, so I tried to make it a little bit of both... even if this Howl is more suave and charming like in the movie rather than the absolute endearing disaster that book Howl is. Still, I always have fun getting other characters involved with the reader and their love interest, so I loved adding Calcifer and Marko to the mix. As well as the cute interactions Howl and reader have, I love the ending in which he hints at the fact that the reader unlocked something in his heart that he didn’t think was possible.

5. Kind (Jesse Pinkman, Breaking Bad ficlet)

I don’t often get to write about Jesse, so this was awesome! Peekaboo was one of my favorite episodes and it was amazing to get to explore it. While it’s not perfect, I really like how the connection between Jesse and reader turned out, how kind (:D) he is and patient and respectful, and I think I also poured a lot of emotion to the reader with that background.

4. Separated (Zuko, ATLA ficlet)

By this point, it’s obvious that I’m more proud of ficlets (because they’re longer and take more planning and more time and effort) and about characters I love because I think the passion I have for them is more obvious. I wrote this one right when I was watching ATLA because I loved (and still love) Zuko so much. It’s sort of a character study as well (it’s established that I adore writing them) and I’m so glad that I had the idea of getting Iroh involved because he’s awesome. This ficlet just has a lot of pining and repressed emotions that come out in the end and I love it.

3. Weight On His Shoulders (PS4 Peter Parker ficlet)

This one if pretty recent, as I wrote it after beating the game myself. This game is just awesome, and this is my favorite representation of Peter ever. He’s cute, charming, nerdy, loving, kind, a bit awkward and just everything that Peter and Spidey should be (at least for me). I wanted to represent both his personas in this one, and I like the balance I achieved with it as well as the emotions, the pining, the secret identity and in the end the understanding of the reader. The part with Spidey saving reader is great and I’m very happy with how reader is prepared to confront him about it once they learn he’s Spiderman only to change their mind when they see how much it’s weighing on him so they decide to relax with him for a bit.

2. Reunion (Cloud Strife, FFVII ficlet)

I’ve written a lot of things for this fandom this year because I was super inspired after beating the remake with my brother, I loved it (honorable mentions to Heal My Heart and Stars In Your Eyes, two other ficlets that I wrote and I’m very proud of). Cloud has always been one of my favorite characters, and in this one I got to examine a side of him I usually don’t. Not only does this ficlet include Zack Fair (another one of my favorite characters) but it also goes along with an idea I had been thinking about for a long time of a female reader pretending to be a boy to get into SOLDIER and becoming friends with them, but it also shows Cloud as the meeker and shy boy he is in Crisis Core. It was so cool to write about him back then and after once he had joined AVALANCHE. His relationship with the reader was also bittersweet because of their past and it’s just so complex and emotional that I love it, especially their reunion at the end.

1. Soul of a Warrior (Jaskier x Nissa, The Witcher Fanfiction Series). This was a big project, as series always are. I spent several months planning and plotting the story and even more months writing it, and also revising it once it was finished before posting it. I put so much effort, love and time into this series that it absolutely had to be number one. Soul of a Warrior is probably the thing I’m most proud of (that I have written) in 2020.

As most of you know (my mutuals definitely do, as they have gifted me amazing things with him), Jaskier is probably the character I fangirled the hardest about this year. I wrote many things for him (the ficlet What Would You Do Without Me? deserves another honorable mention because it’s probably my favorite thing I’ve written this year along with the series) and working on each of them has brought me so much serotonin. Jaskier is just such an amazing character, loving and compassionate but cheeky and selfish while at the same time being charming, optimistic, bubbly, extroverted and a huge flirt. So many layers!

But back to the series... Soul of a Warrior had one of the best faceclaims I’ve found, the sweetest friendship between my OC Nissa and Geralt and the slowest of burns romances with Jaskier. Him and Nissa are very similar in some aspects, so much so that they’re both too blind to realize the other’s feelings (idiots to lovers, am I right?) but they care so much about one another. The three of them were strangers, but they become family (found family, another one for the fandom bingo!) and I’m the proudest of how real and organic their relationship feels. Not to mention that their dynamic was super fun to write because Geralt is the only one that knows they’re in love and is so fed up and exasperated with their obliviousness. As well as this, I think I managed to mix action, emotion and depth really well. My secondary OCs feel more alive than others before them, Nissa was pretty complex and coherent and had a true voice of her own, and their part on the story feels important. There are tense moments, cute ones, sad ones, tragic ones... a little bit of everything. I think this one as a lot more angst and whump because I was in a bit of a dark place when I wrote it, but it still has hope and light in it, which I really love. The series also has a lot more violence than what I’m used to, but it was interesting to get out of my comfort zone a bit.

Overall, not only do I think it’s fun to read, compelling, funny and emotional all at once, I’m just very proud that I managed to write something a little different from what I usually do and feel like I did it well. I put a big part of me in this series and for that reason Soul of a Warrior will always have a special place in my heart 💜

Writing quiz/interview!

Tagged by @j-pping thank you for thinking of me, sweetheart♡.

1. What is your ideal setting for focusing on your writing?

Anywhere, which is why I write on my phone. If an idea springs to mind, I can write it down before forgetting. The majority of my writing is done while I'm in bed, though, cause it's comfortable and quiet; no distractions.

2. What is your favorite genre to write?

I suppose romance? But I don't know if that counts as a genre. Just like in what content I consume, I also really love fantasy. Sword fighting and/or magic? I'm in.

3. Do you prefer to write on paper, or digitally?

Digitally. I do have a physical notebook, but that's for personal therapy journeling. It's nice being able to write whatever comes to mind at any time since my phone stays close to me.

4. It’s the middle of the night and you suddenly wake up with an idea. What do you do?

Unlike most writers I've spoken with, I do not get inspired by dreams so if this scenario occurs it's some freak incident. I do have issues with sleep, though, and I've thought of stuff trying to go back to sleep before (because creating intricate daydreams is how I fall asleep). In which case I just reach over and type it out on my phone and pray it makes sense through the typos in the morning. As stated previously, I do the majority of my writing in bed so actually most of what I've written was done either late into the night or first thing in the morning. There's been so many fucking times where I lay down to do my daydreams into slumber, and all the sudden the next line of dialogue or scene or what-have-you suddenly clicks into place and I stay up another few hours writing.

5. Who is your favorite person to write about?

If we're going off word count, it would be my Dragon Age OC and Solas. If not, I don't know it changes depending on what's inspiring me in the moment. A few weeks ago I got passionate about Finan, or I might watch another show/movie that I fixate on for a bit and write for it, but the most consistant love of mine to go back to is definitely my Dragon Age OC.

6. Do you like making your own characters, or do you usually write about real people?

OC's and fictional characters for sure. I don't even consider my Exo stuff to be of "real people" cause it's my fictionalized approximation of their persona's. I definitely get more joy from making my own stuff though.

7. Have you ever written a book, or a story with more than 15 chapters (or 100k words)?

Yes. One is posted here, one is still only on my phone for now, and the other is a work in progress that I hope to get published some day.

8. How often do you get ideas?

Don't keep count, but there's definitely a coralation between me getting more ideas and me consuming more content. The more I read/watch/etc the more I write. I do, however, keep a list of all the ideas I have that don't fit into anything I'm doing currently and it is LONG. That's just for general shit too. At the end of every wip I have the same kind of list, but specific to that story (as in things I know I want to add in later and don't wanna forget). Could be a description, piece of dialogue, whatever. My wip's probably look chaotic and stressful to anyone but me.

9. Do you ever get an idea that you really like, but just can’t seem to finish?

Yes, unfortunately. Motivation waxes and wanes pretty inconsistantly for me; part of the joys of depression. I may love a thing, but it'll just sit there because...yeah. When I'm not on a low, however, I'm too stubborn to abandon anything so they'll get worked on. The key for me has been having lots of different things, so if motivation/inspiration drops for one, I have another to go to rather than stopping outright. There's also been times I put off finishing a scene because it's just so fucking emotional (ie the characters' emotional story arc climax, a character dying, characters confessing feelings, etc). Just a few days ago actually I was tearing up writing the ending to a story, and I had to take a day off from writing to be able to finish it.

10. What is your least favorite plot?

Like, in general? Anything that's drama for drama's sake, which is most often conveyed in very easily avoidable miscommunication plotlines. As in, "I saw my partner with someone who's not me and therefore they're cheating" when people in real life would just be like, "hey partner, who's this?" and they could respond, "oh, meet my sister." and avoid a season and a half of bullshit.

My plots? My first instinct was "Ambivalence" but that's because there was none at first. I've actually forced a plot into that now that I don't absolutely hate, so probably that fic that shall not be named. It was tropey love triangle bullshit, and was tainted by everything that came to light about the group it was about so it can burn.

Ohhhh my gods @jetsetspy I’m so sorry for answering this question so late ;-; My answers are under the cut!

4. Does your insert have a backstory? Tell us about it! How does their backstory, if any, define who they are? How does it reflect their relationships now? Their hopes and dreams?

Bellamy Amplexus – Final Fantasy XV SI

Bellamy doesn’t have much of a backstory just yet, but I do know this:

· Their family isn’t a huge part of their life, aside from a younger sibling, who, to this day, I have not yet named.

· They want a sense of belonging somewhere, and have a number of self-image complications (it’s not really a set of “issues” to them, because they’ve found comfort in their body and self over time, but they still have wishes about what they could be seen as—androgyny is a tough line to straddle).

· They hate the nickname “Bella”.

· Bells, as far as I’m concerned right now, finds their sense of belonging amongst the ‘Bros ever since they just sorta started… tagging along, I guess? It was just an act of good will from the prince and his guards and a bit of hitchhiking on Bells’ end that got them where they are now.

· They were originally a bit of a vagabond prior to meeting up with the guys. Hitchhiking, walking absurdly long distances, camping out often, all that jazz.

Junko Hisayo – Persona 5 SI

Junko is a character who I largely based off of my late-high school self for both self insertion and coping reasons, but a few things do set her apart from me. As in, she’s a pretty close approximation, but by no means is she a direct, direct copy of me.

She’s a student at Kosei Academy, simply due to the fact that I read on the wiki that it’s speculated to be a catholic school (I was brought up in the catholic education system, so, I could find some accuracy and likeness in that), and attended meetings at both the drama and art club there. She has bitter memories of the two clubs, as she was betrayed by the one major figure in both: her childhood friend Hideo Sunjaya. Since then, she’s taken to expressing her creative outlets in circles outside of her student life, and finds her passion in writing. At the time of Persona 5 canon, she’s set on becoming an editor. In the future canon, she does in fact achieve this goal. In this way Junko’s less of a model of who I was, and instead she’s what I hope to be.

She comes from a somewhat broken home, but has a strong relationship with her mother. Despite her current disconnect, Junko feels that she owes it to her parents that she has such a good understanding of her own identity, as they were supportive when she first came out as sapphic, and continued their support when she decided to be GNC and soon after came into her identity as a demigirl.

Elizabeth Beaufort – Red Dead Redemption 2 SI

Lizzie is a pretty lighthearted simulacrum of a more feminine version of me, translated loosely into the scope of the year 1899. I’m by no means a historian, but here’s Lizzie’s life.

Elizabeth Beaufort is a born and raised resident of the town of Valentine. Her mother is whatever the RDR2 universe’s equivalent of Quebecois French is, having moved to Saint Denis due to a family matter down there, and subsequently met her father. A Valentine resident himself, he beguiled her mother and convinced her to move to Valentine and live as the wife of a livestock owner (he comes from some blue blood ‘round those parts—as mentioned by the VDL in Chapter 2, the town is a goldmine of trade).

As a lady of relative privilege, life was… well, it was what a privileged life is. Sheltered, simple, and for the most part pretty damned easy. However, her naivete wasn’t something that her mother would stand to see Elizabeth keep, as she wanted a strong daughter who wouldn’t simply bend to the hand of tradition. Would I say that Lizzie would’ve most certainly rallied with those girls in Rhodes? YES. I’d rather die than portray any iteration of myself as complacent rather than progressive lmao. Elizabeth Beaufort flows in the vein of RDR2’s… I guess, progressive* writing? More** on that below, I guess???

*I don’t actually know how well it was received by everyone else, and honestly, I’m not even gonna try to speak on anyone else’s behalf but my own—I found that RDR2, despite some shortcomings, made itself a relatively hospitable environment for me as a white queer.

** Lizzie does struggle a lot with her internalized homophobia? Like… she had a lot of difficulty when she was younger coming to terms with the fact that she’s bisexual. This is less prevalent in her backstory considering it only ever surfaces post-canon. Yes, my SI and her FO came out to each other at random after being married to him for approximately 3 months. And it went fuckin’ great cos guess what!! Theyre both bi!! WLW/MLM solidarity!!! Don’t @ me.

Gillian Wright – Red Dead Redemption 2 SI

· Gilley was brought up amongst a gang of outlaws, and her being born a woman changed nothing about the things she was taught by said gunslingers. She left the group she once called family because of the leadership turning sour. From that point forward she went it alone, shifting in and out of her identity as Gilley Wright and her masculine persona (a pseudonym-turned-identity) Giles Kingsley, to keep herself straddling notoriety and anonymity.

· Gilley only started wearing her hair short because of an encounter in which her longer hair was used as a means to pull her back into harm’s way. She lopped it off shortly after out of the feeling that it was a necessity, but soon found that she preferred it that way.

· Thaddeus, her large draft horse, once pulled carts. She took him during a robbery so that she’d have an adequate mount for her getaway. The connection was instant between them.

Taeko Atou – Tokyo Ghoul OC

Taeko went by another name before her time in the 20th ward. She had another face, another life. But that was a self she had to leave far, far behind. Before “Taeko”, she was a reckless twentysomething ghoul living off of her father’s money, basking in the upper echelons of society, indulging in Scrapper shows and seeing humanity as nothing but an unprepared buffet. The danger ranking on her CCG profile demonstrated as much.

One night, however, her cushy life changed drastically. She went out drinking after a Scrapper show with one of her friends and decided to go hunting with her. Things were as usual, they stayed in their territory, but ended up getting apprehended by a group of Doves. During the getaway, her and her friend were separated, and she had no way of knowing whether her friend was alive. Drunk, desperate, and rather terrified, she decided to abandon all else and ripped her mask off to taunt the officers. They deserved to see her face, covered in gore and as ghoulish as they came! Nothing mattered to her at that point and she wanted to give them a scare…!

That is, until the next morning, when she recovered from her hangover and realized what she’d done. One of those Doves got a picture of her. In a panic, she called her father to ask for some sort of mercy money to clear the issue up. He’s frustrated with her constantly getting into increasingly worse trouble and tells her this: he’s going to pay for her to completely change her identity and her face so that she can move elsewhere, completely out of the way of harm. After that, he’d be cutting her off, leaving her with only the savings that she had prior to the cut-off. No more handouts.

This is when she became Taeko Atou, a pseudonym based off of her Scrapper show guest alias, “Miss AT”, and moved to the 20th ward. She has to adjust to average life a la Schitt’s Creek or Arrested Development.

7. What kind of clothing style do they like? What would they never be caught dead wearing? What’s likely in their closet right now?

Bellamy Amplexus – Final Fantasy XV SI

· Bells LOVES anything that’ll make them look cute and androgynous. They’re super partial to a femme prince aesthetic. Blouses and linens and vests and suspenders and a bunch of that cute shit. (Yes, this is my preferred fashion style and I wish I could look like that all the time.) They’re also into stuff like your average sundresses and such when it’s too hot for “princey” attire because hell yeah.

· They’d hate to wear… hm… short party dresses? Cocktail dresses n shit. (No shade to those tho theyre cute. Just not Bellamy’s style.)

Junko Hisayo – Persona 5 SI

· Junko’s super masc and butch in her presentation, binds her chest, does the simple graphic tee + jeans thing a lot. Think “Kanji Tatsumi but a lesbian”.

· She lowkey doesn’t like wearing overly feminine clothes, like, she does not vibe with dresses.

Elizabeth Beaufort – Red Dead Redemption 2 SI

· Lizzie is pretty standard when it comes to clothes: blouses and skirts, dresses, all just… really basic stuff. She likes simple and solid colours, maybe simple patterns. She’s also like… very cottagecore. Probably likes overalls if she ever wears ‘em?? I’m not a frickin’ historian and I’m not gonna google early 1900s clothes styles at this hour don’t @ me.

· This is literally just because I’m basic as all fuck and I like a skirt/blouse or sundress style outfit. I don’t wear it often but that’s my jazz y’know?

Gillian Wright – Red Dead Redemption 2 SI

· Gilley’s another one of my more boyish characters. She doesn’t deliberately go out of her way to look like a man unless she’s under the guise of her male persona Giles Kingsley. But let me tell you—she goes all out for those occasions, even electing to simulate stubble on her face with cosmetics. Think “cowboy drag king” and you’ll hit the mark.

· Other than that, she just wears whatever’s convenient and comfortable.

9. Their favorite foods? Colors? Activities? What do they enjoy in life? How do they express their joy for things they like?

As dumb as this sounds I completely burnt out after writing only 2 self insert likes/interests profiles, forgive me lol.

Bellamy Amplexus – Final Fantasy XV SI

· Favourite Food: Bells is indecisive, but they will gladly eat anything Ignis puts in front of them. They’re thoroughly convinced he uses magic in his cooking. (They’re only half joking about that—it’s so good!) If they were made to decide a top three, it’d likely be Garden Curry, Broiled King on a Stick, and Moogle Mousse with Kupoberry Sauce. Honorable mention being Gyashi Chips (yes, they like what’s effectively Eosian kale chips).

· Favourite Activities: drawing (sketches, scribbles, doodles, colouring, etc., singing, baking/cooking, writing, and she learned to love gardening after getting close to Haru.

· Junko tends to show her happiness through verbal and artistic expression, she’s also the type that tends to crack jokes (mostly shitty puns followed up by finger guns).

welp, gang! not only another year is coming to an end, but it also marks the end of a decade. i’ve been drawing for over 10 years now, so i figured i should do a decade of art just to show off my work over the years!

if you want to read my retrospect of each year, it’ll be under the read more! heads up, it is a bit of a doozy.

TL;DR: just all around happy with how much i improved over the years and i can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring!

2009 (11-12 yrs old) at this point, I’m on my second year of drawing (both traditionally and digitally!) This year mainly consisted of either oc art or drawings of my best friends at the time, but there was some fanarts sprinkled here and there. I also did my first animation piece around this time too tho it’s private now :3c i may show it off one day...

2010 (12-13 yrs old) I got my first drawing tablet for Christmas 2009 and this is when i went ham on my digital drawings. this year was kinda weird i guess? i started experimenting a more cartoony style on some artworks, though the majority are still anime inspired.

2011 (13-14 yrs old) ah yes...... the year i found out about homestuck.... well, i found out about it on the second half of the year. the first half was all about my ocs. this was because around this time (or late 2010? i dont remember exactly) i discovered flipnote hatena, where I did tons of animations including my ocs. but once i discovered homestuck, that was all i posted for a while lol. this was also the year I made my tumblr account. oh and I also lost my tablet pen for a few months so some of the drawings from this year were made with a mouse.

2012 (14-15 yrs old) I started falling out of deviantArt and became more active on tumblr. I mellowed out on the homestuck drawings a bit and posted other stuff. this year was kinda similar to 2010, where my artstyle was kinda all over the place. the second half of the year I discovered a super obscure browser dating sim called Star Project and became a part of the roleplaying community so plenty of my artworks revolved on my muse Souta and the game as a whole. 2013 (15-16 yrs old) this year was really quiet in terms me posting art. i had been constantly doodling both traditionally and digitally but I never got around to posting the majority of them. this was mainly because I was so busy with school. on the flipside however, I discovered Earthbound and i hecking fell in love with it ♥

2014 (16-17 yrs old) still relatively quiet but i posted more than 2013 lol. Earthbound drawings galore! i also did posted more oc work, including my gal Usako. I haven’t posted her anywhere in a long time though. i have been redesigning her and i’ll show it off sometime in the future!

2015 (17-18 yrs old) ahh, here we go! now we’re picking up the pace! i graduated from high school this year and started posting more often. splatoon came out this year and I was constantly drawing them squidkiddies! (tho tbh my rin and len drawing is my fav) this was also the year I got Manga Studio (an older version of Clip Studio Paint) but I still used Paint Tool Sai. this was also the first year i did commissions!

2016 (18-19 yrs old) this year was really interesting tbh. lots of really neat works and i started to do more backgrounds. this was also the year I (attempted) to do my webcomic! i haven’t updated that thing in a long time tho. I want to reboot it one of these days. but anyways, good mix of fanart and oc works. really, this year was great.

2017 (19-20 yrs old) this was the year i made this very art blog and my instagram account! (which i haven’t advertised here at all but here’s the link lol) i think it was around this point i found my own artstyle that i want to more or less stick to! of course, it was going to change overtime, but compared to the years prior, my artstyle at this point has been more consistent. this was also the year i attempted to start an oc askblog with a friend of mine but it haven’t gone far ;w; def want to try again one of these days!

2018 (20-21 yrs old) this year was also really nice! i moved to a new university to get a major in animation. quite a few persona 5 and kingdom hearts drawings here and there since i was like love with both of those games (even tho kh3 wasn’t even out at that point, but i was still hyped omg) i also introduced Cimmaria and Nicktornal for a future story that i’m currently developing! i also made a full move to Clip Studio Paint after Paint Tool Sai wouldn’t load on my new computer.

2019 (21-22 yrs old) last year of the decade and i left it with quite a bang! I def posted more often. i did missed a few months, but then i would come back with a bunch more works to post! I discovered Artfight from a friend so that kept me busy during the month of july! made a couple more animations too since of course i will be doing more of it for university.

So, what’s my 2020 art resolution?

Def want to keep posting! try to go for at least 4 artworks per month, one for each week.

experiment more on backgrounds, perspective and composition!

post more oc artworks! i haven’t been posting much about them for the past few years but I really want to change that. there is one oc i am definitely introducing to you all! here’s a hint: it is a Dungeons and Dragons character. I will show them off when the time is right uwu

continue developing on story ideas and sticking to it! i’ve noticed that i usually start on projects only then to drop them later on. I really want to revive them and work on it!

continue working on animation! if all goes well, i’ll be taking animation classes in fall of 2020 so i need to start prepping more!

and of course, continue improving my art!

that’s all i have in mind! if you got this far, thank you guys so much for reading this wall of text lol. I promise that will do as much as I can to fulfill these resolutions! onwards to 2020 and beyond!!

2019 fic retrospective

here we are again. sort of a weird one this time! 10 completed fics, one of which is a podfic, and the start of an oc project (which isn’t relevant to this list lol). all told, somewhere around 30k and 7 minutes of completed fic, which is a bit less than last year but it also doesn’t include. oc project since that’s not done.

I forgot why I wrote this??? looking through my notes I found a draft that was last edited 2/9 at 2am. Did I just want to write yusuke? Apparently I cut a scene that has like, a couple sentences written about ryuji getting Self-Conscious when yusuke did the art pose on him during beach trip. I definitely remember going out of my way to make sure the wordcount for this and the annshiho fic was the same

“I’m a little busy here, I don’t exactly have a slideshow on-hand for you—”

“But you have proof of their plans?”

Sombra scoffs. What kind of question is that? A bad one. She’s got terabytes of dirt on her right now, not including stuff she’s stashed in some contingency bunkers scattered around the world. But, as insulting as it is, being so severely underestimated works out pretty well. “If it’s proof you want, that’s easy. You can see it for yourself... if you get me to the top floor.”

Sombra waits for the inevitable explosion from Vishkar’s number one fan, but weirdly enough, Symmetra actually hesitates. “Then,” she says, “you will show it to me.”

Oh my god. I remember LEAPING out bed several times between 12am and 4 am to outline this fic. it’s so good. It’s been vaguely in my head since 2017 and I’ve finally gotten it out. this fic will never get the recognition it deserves but at least *I* know it’s a masterpiece. this is absolutely my fic of the year. god someone please appreciate my symbra fic

Written because of the teamup attack.. foxskull real. also this didn’t hit until just now while I’m typing this but what’s an expression of love stronger than making food? nothing. I really wanted to capture the vibe of yusuke going at his own pace and ryuji just going with it without really getting the full picture... a comfy kinda vibe. or like. a ‘whatever’ kind of vibe but not in a negative way.

yo I don’t even know what to say about this I’ve had the idea for so long and it took so long to write and I got so many pals to look over it. oh! also I guess this could count as a collab because a pal just randomly started drawing art for every chapter????? except for the yusuke chapter because I wrote a tweet about a concept and my pal drew something in response and I used that art as inspo for the actual chapter. it was very flattering!!! super exciting. I love being spoiled.
