Max and Daniel meet at a club and have a one-night stand. That's the plot. Not as much smut as one would think.
cw: not too graphic sexual content and mentions of alcohol (but neither of them is drunk)
Daniel watches from the bed as the guy comes out of the bathroom and starts pulling his clothes back on. He almost stumbles while slipping into his skinny jeans, and it should be funny, or maybe awkward, how clumsy he is with it, but Daniel can't help feeling a little bit charmed. Just as he had been charmed by his blunt advances in the club, and the way he had laughed too loud at Daniel's bad joke in the car.
He wasn't supposed to be charmed.
Well, to be honest, he wasn't supposed to be in this situation at all. He doesn't usually go to clubs alone, he isn't that young and horny anymore, but he had needed to feel the bass in his lungs and the alcohol in his veins after a few long, awful days, so he had chucked on a shirt and some pants and found his way somewhere he was hoping he wouldn't get recognised. He had ended up in a small club on the other side of the city, and it had taken him a sparkly drink and two dance offers to realise he maybe still was young enough to have fun.
It had taken Max to make him think that maybe he was also horny enough.
Max had slid behind him on the dance floor, large palm against his hipbones, turning him around to throw him a wide smile, eyes crinkling and sparkling in the low lights.
Daniel wasn't planning on going home with someone, but Max had guided him to grind against him while they were dancing, and then kissed him wet and open right there in the middle of the crowd, and Daniel had lost his mind a little.
Daniel had thought about asking him to go to Max's place, he didn't like inviting strangers into his house, but Max had slipped a hand under his shirt to touch his sweaty skin and asked "take me home?" and Daniel had.
Max had chatted and laughed in the car, a hand firmly planted high up on Daniel's thigh, until Daniel had stopped pretending he was following whatever he was talking about and tugged him into a kiss. He didn't like kissing people, kissing men, somewhere he could be seen so easily, but Max's lips had been red and full and Daniel had wanted it.
Max had taken his shoes off at the door and Daniel had felt a tug somewhere too high up and on the left to be his gut. Max had kissed him like he wanted to eat Daniel whole, but touched him like Daniel had been something precious. He had taken him apart more easily than a one-night stand was supposed to.
Daniel never bottomed with strangers, but Max had been hovering over him, eyes so bright and intense, hands playing with the band of Daniel's underwear, and Daniel had let his legs fall open before Max could even ask what he wanted.
Max had still asked and Daniel should have known he was making a mistake. Because when he had come, Max's hand around him, Max's dick inside him, something had been rearranged inside him, something had dramatically shifted. Or maybe it had happened earlier, when Max had pressed a kiss against his stomach while opening him up. Or when he had closed his teeth on Daniel's bottom lip in the car. Or earlier still, in the club, when Max had told him "you look pretty, Daniel", voice rounding his name weirdly.
And now he is watching Max getting ready to leave, feeling like his world was tilting, and he was supposed to learn how to live with that.
He watches as Max shrugs his black t-shirt back on, trying uselessly to smooth out his hair a little, hoping he doesn't look as desperate as he feels to ask him to stay.
Finally, Max pats his pockets to check for his phone and wallet, and then looks up, smiling at Daniel with the same lips that had been pressed against his pulse point not twenty minutes ago.
How did Daniel end up like this?
"That was fun," he says, smile too practiced to look fake. Hopefully.
Max's eyes seem to soften and he nods, crossing the space to the bed again to press a kiss against Daniel's cheek.
"It was good, Daniel." He says it like it's not just Daniel's name, but like it means something more, something Daniel doesn't know yet. Something he'll probably never know, now.
Daniel is expecting him to leave then, is ready to curl up in bed and go to sleep without even showering, disgusting as it is, just to keep their smells together a little longer, a pathetic thought to have about a one-night stand, but one nobody will have to know. And yet, Max hesitates, a hand coming up to rub at his neck, tug at his hair.
Something scarily close to hope starts to fill Daniel's lungs.
"I don't want to, uh, be that person," Max starts, stilted and awkward, ears red. It's the first time Daniel seems him embarrassed, and he wants to lick the blush right off his cheeks. "Could I maybe give you my number?"
Daniel is looking for his phone even before Max has closed his mouth, ignores him as he giggles when Daniel lunges out of bed to grab his abandoned pants, raising his phone in the air like a trophy. Max is fully laughing by the time Daniel hands it to him, but Daniel doesn't care anymore. He already can't wait to call.

You texted...
Y/N and Lando are going through a rough patch in their relationship. Not really on speaking terms. This bad streak ends when there is a massive spider in her bathroom.
angst, one shot
Tumblr media
The moment she spotted that creature sent from hell, everything else went out of the window. The dinner in the oven, the fact she was planning on doing a late night session in the gym, the fact her hair was still wet from the shower. The fact she and her boyfriend Lando were on "not speaking" terms.
Y/N was absolutely terrified of spiders her whole life and was never able to over come the fear by getting rid of them on her own. Lando was the one who always ever so kindly rescued her, he overtook this role her neighbor, who overtook it from her mom, who Y/N had trained to react immediately when she heard a very specific scream.
Now she was standing in her apartment, alone with nowhere to go, since her job was to stay frozen at one spot and stare at the creature, in case it moved, and not really sure who to call for help. Her best friend was the first option. Normally, it would have been her boyfriend, but something was stopping her from doing that.
"Come on, come on, come on," she whispered as she dialed her best friend living close by. "Pick up, dammit."
Finally, the tone she was praying for. "Hey, girl, what's up?"
No time for chit chat. "You have to come over now, immediately."
Her friend noticed the immediate distress and tuned herself in. "What's wrong?" she replied, sounding as she was ready to dial the police.
"There's a spider situation going on in my apartment."
"Uhm, I see," she said, more relaxed now, but still taking it seriously.
"It's huge, with like hairy legs and shit. You have to come over, now. We have a deal, remember?"
Her friend was equally terrified of mosquitoes, so they agreed that Y/N would deal with those while spider duty fell on the other lady. This has happened many many times before. Usually ended up with a nice girls evening. Ever since Lando appeared in Y/N life however, the emergency calls stopped.
"I thought Lando was around this week?" her friend asked curiously. "Not that I'm trying to get out of this, but I'm sort of like an hour away from you, so..."
Y/N let out a frustrated sigh. "Fucking hell...Yeah, we're not exactly speaking at the moment," she admitted.
"Wow, that's a first!?" her friend said, clearly surprised. "Why?"
"Look, I'd love to chat, but are you coming or not? There's no one else and I'm not calling Lando!"
"Yes, yes, I'm getting in the car, just let me say good bye to my friends here, we're having a picnic," she replied and muted voices of disapproval came from the background.
Y/N felt guilty about doing this, but she'd dropped everything she was oing for her friend many times, answered phone calls in the middle of the night even though she was an early bird. They just had this kind of friendship.
"Drive fast, please," she said, still stubborn and not about to call Lando.
//
Y/N sat there staring at the spider for good ten minuted before her friend called again.
"Ok, I'm in the car, you can talk about Lando now, keep me busy. I'm going to pass over the fact you and your boyfriend are fighting and I have no idea," she said unapologetically.
"Figured you'd be mad about that. Yeah, he's been acting like a bit of a dick..."
"But you're not broken up, right?" her friend asked, slightly worried about her favorite couple.
"No, I don't think so. I hope so," she realized, the spider in the corner becoming lesser of her problems.
"And what seems to be the problem? Did he cheat?"
"No, not that I'm aware," she replied without thinking.
"Did you cheat?" her friend asked, ready to support her in anything.
"Jesus, no. It's um...I dunno, we've just grown a bit distant. Lately it feels like I'm like at number 50 of his priorities list. It's always only racing, Quadrant, promo event this and that."
"That's shitty, yeah. Would you like to be included? I know you hate things like promo events and such."
"I do! But honestly, I miss him so much and frankly I'd like to be more included in his life somehow. Especially now that I have more time in my life."
"Does he know that?"
"No?"
Her friend let out a deep sigh. "Hm. You have to untangle that. It would be stupid to break up over that."
"Yeah, I'd hate that," she said, panic setting in.
"Text him to come. To save you from the spider. It's a nice excuse and good test. To see if he cares."
"I'm scared. What if he does not respond?"
Few moments of dramatic silence. "Well, at least you'd know."
"Yeah. Ok. Sending it." Y/N quickly typed something up, trying not to overthink it.
"What did you text?"
"Can you come over asap? I need help with a spider. It's urgent."
"Nice. Now you'll see what he does."
They stayed on the phone together for good half an hour. Catching up and distracting Y/N from the fact there was no text from Lando coming her way.
//
A doorbell rang.
"You're here already?" Y/N asked her friend, surprised by her ability to drive this fast.
"Nope, still very much far away. Did I hear a bell? Do you think it's him?"
"I dunno. I'll mute you and if it's him I'll hang up, ok?"
"Gotcha."
She opened the door with a heavy heart. What if it was not him?
But it was. Flustered Lando stood there without saying hello. The two shared a pain-filled look, neither of them enjoying this no contact streak they had.
"You came..." she said finally, ending the phone call.
"You texted..." he said dryly and in full macho mode entered her apartment without being let it. "Can you point me where?"
"That corner," she simply pointed, flushed with emotions. Happy that he came to rescue her, sad about his loveless tone and scared of what was to come after. She watched him from afar, as he skillfully took the spider and threw it out of the balcony.
"Don't say anything about him knowing his way back, please," he said, hinting on the countless debates they'd had before about Lando not wanting to kill every spider they'd encounter.
The air suddenly went very heavy. Lando casually headed to the kitchen to get himself a glass of water while trying so hard to make eye contact with her. The last time they spoke was few days prior - and it was not a nice conversation. Lots of built up emotions got out, frustrated speeches made and confusing sentences jumping one after another. Ending with Lando slamming the door on his way out.
She had no clue where to start. "So, how have you been?" she asked, not sure she was ready for his answer. He finally looked at her, and then with an annoyed eye-roll went back into staring out of the window.
Y/N threw her hands up in the air as the familiar feeling from few days ago kicked back in. "Ok fine, sorry I asked. Thank you so much for your help, truly appreciated, but if you hate being around me, just say so that we can-"
"We can what?" he cut her off, not having any of that.
"I don't know, you tell me!...I'm getting lost at trying to read you," she admitted, not even trying to hide anything from him at this point.
"I'm sorry," he said slowly. "I don't think I listened to you," he sighed before continuing, "Or more like did not hear what you were saying."
The validation felt rewarding. But she feared what would come next.
"What I heard at that moment was you not respecting my lack of time and the fact that things I'm involved in are important to me."
She took a breath and planned on interrupting him, which he noticed and tried to stop.
"Let me finish, please. But thinking about it, I figured that's not the case, and you were simply pointing out that I've been putting off spending time with you. Which you're absolutely correct. I figured since we've been going to strong lately, this would be fine. But truth is I hate this distance it created. I feel lost, uneasy and unable to focus," he blabbered something, which felt like he might have even rehearsed on the way to her. "What I'm trying to say is - do you still care enough for us to fix it?"
It felt vulnerable, raw and maybe even uncomfortable to have these kinds of talks. But this is ultimately what cements a relationship.
Feeling like he managed to destroy some of the wall they'd put up, she took few steps towards him.
"Lando, of course I do. It's not a rare event that I imagine our future life together, as a couple and one day potentially as a family. Never had this feeling before in my life. Please, let's figure out a way how to prevent the distance from happening. Things have changed now, the relationship has too. We've been together for almost two years. And my love for you has only grown."
He finally smiled, relieved that they seemed to be on the same page.
"I came right from the tennis court, left everyone behind. Would you like to go there with me? Hang out with the Quadrant squad for a bit and then have a nice dinner somewhere? I just want to spend this evening with you."
"And the night hopefully," she teased, trying to ease the mood.
"Always the night, it was absolutely horrible, knowing you're so close to me, yet having to sleep without you."
She closed the distance between them, embracing him into a hug. They bodies were more than familiar with each and it felt right to be that close. Definitely better than each of them standing in a different corner of the room.
"We still have to talk about this. I don't want our love to slip through by our fingers," she said, letting her anxiety out.
"We will. Tonight, we'll come up with a plan. Can you join me on few races later this month?" he asked, hoping for a positive answer.
"Of course, my love. I have to buy new clothes though, the cameras are savage."
He chuckled, relaxed now that he did not have to worry about having lost her. "Yes, they are."
She later call her friend to thank her for dropping everything and driving to save her, even though it was not needed in the end. Her friend was more than happy that she and Lando seemingly found the way back to each other.
She also admitted that she turned back the moment Y/N sent her text to Lando, knowing that this guy would come running anytime his girlfriend asked for help.

this is long, sorry. okay, so it would be angsty with a happy ending (maybe with some smut at the end) where reader is tall and looks like a total dom, but is actually a bottom who is head over heels for angel, and tries to show it but angel doesn’t believe him/thinks he’s trying to use him and pushes the reader away,, though angel has also caught feelings. eventually angel overhears reader telling someone (charlie, husk, idc) how in love he is with angel and how angel hates him and angel confronts him. crying and confessions happen and maybe some smut where angel tops reader.
thanks, i love your writing!!!
A/n: Of course! I love this idea! I hope you enjoy it! ^^

"Hey Angel have you seen my phone?" You called out to your friend, Angel Dust, who hummed in minor confusion.
"Uhhhh...No!" He called back, as you gasped in joy.
"I got it! Thanks Angie!" You hummed, before leaving to go run some errands. To be frank, you didn't lose your phone. You had it the entire time, you just needed a reason to try and confess to Angel, but you chickened out. You had arrived a while back, and grown moderately close to Angel. When you began to try and hit on him he...declined. A lot. At some point, you tried to ask him out to which he sweetly but bluntly said a flat 'no' to. You wouldn't lose hope though. Not that easily, especially with how smitten you were for him. You didn't know it, but he was in love too, but he didn't want to be used by someone again. So, he sheltered himself from it.
Later enough, you came back with groceries that Charlie had needed, your hands full.
"Princess! I need a lil' bit of help here!!" You shouted as Charlie rushed to help you, setting the bags down. You sighed at the relief of nothing heavy weighing down your arms now, before you plopped back into a chair in the lobby. It was then you saw Angel come down, making you sigh softly. You sat up, going to help him carry something. "Here, lemme get that for ya!"
"Oh uh...Thanks Y/n." He spoke sheepishly, as you chuckled nervously again.
"Say uhm...Are you free tonight?" You asked, raising a brow as Angel narrowed his eyes.
"No. I'm really, really, busy tonight.." Angel lied, leaving the room quickly with his things. You sighed, hopeless as you sat at the bar, catching husk's attention.
"Th' hells got you so gloom?" Husk asked, pouring a glass of booze for you, as you took the cup.
"Thanks...and it's nothing just...In a predicament."
"Of what sorts?" Husk asked, raising a brow as he drank a bottle of cheap booze.
"Just..Angel. He acts like he hates my guts but I..."
"You love 'im, don't cha?" Husk sighed as you nodded, taking a swig from the glass, groaning quietly in frustration. Before Angel could fully leave, he was still within ear shot, hearing your confession.
"Yeah..I am. I can't help it!! Have you fuckin' seen him!? He's gorgeous, funny, and just...everything I'll ever need.." You muttered, sighing softly. "I just don't have a chance with him...He hates my damn guts for christs sake!" You exclaimed as Husk huffed.
"They always act like that, to cover up their true feelin's. Only thing is, Angel's probably like that 'cuz of the shit he went through." Husk explained, as you nodded.
"Yeah...You have a point.."
"So, take it easy. He's probably in love with ya' too, he just isn't ready for it yet. Keep shootin' your shot kid." Husk said with a very light smile. You returned to expression, finishing your drink, and standing up.
"Thanks Husk. It...Really means a lot to me." You thanked and he nodded, waving his hand to shoo you off. You sighed, making your way to your room, before hearing a voice.
"Hey Y/n?" Angel spoke softly, spooking you as he came out of nowhere from behind.
"Oh, Angel. It's you. What's up?" You asked as Angel opened his mouth to speak, before sighing, holding his arms softly.
"Listen I...I don't hate you..You're just so nice and I didn't know if you were genuine or just wanted to use me for sex.." He spoke, his voice shaking a bit from the tears. He didn't want you to think he hated you, he didn't want you to lose interest because of it either.
"Where did all this come from Angie?.." You murmured, scared he might've heard your conversation with Husk.
"Damnit I-...fuck...I heard what you said and...and I'm sorry for bein' a complete asshole. I didn't want to get close to you and end up goin' through heartbreak 'cuz you got tired of usin' me." He explained and you swallowed thickly.
"Angel...I'd never fucking use you...Ever..I'm lovesick for you and I'd die a second time to make sure you're happy and safe." You said, a bit of confidence peaking in your voice.
"So you're not..Upset?"
"Fuck no!! If I'm upset at anything, I'm upset you didn't tell me sooner!" You joked, hugging Angel softly as he sighed with relief, quietly and softly crying from joy.
"I love you Angel.."
"I...I love you too Y/n.." Angel muttered. From then on, the two of you began dating, and to say the least, it was fun. Constant pranks and affection. You two were in Angel's room, cuddling as you watched some novela.
"...I'm fuckin' tellin' ya Y/n! She's just gonna dump him!" Angel exclaimed as you scoffed.
"As if! Maria loves Gabe!! I doubt she'd ditch him." You huffed as the two of you went silent, before breaking out into laughter...It died down, as it was just a silent cuddle now. A question lingered in Angel's mind for a bit since you two began dating, and he felt this was the right time to ask. Given he was a bit horny that day, from seeing you to heavy work in a tank top.
"Hey Y/n, can I ask ya somethin'?"
"Uh yeah! Shoot me with it hon-" You laughed, leaning your cheek on the palm of your hand, as your elbow propped you up on the bed.
"Are you...Ready for sex? If not that's completely--" Angel quickly sat up to dismiss it all before you cut him off.
"Yes." You bluntly spoke as Angel stammered before snickering.
"Didn't think you'd reply so fast damn." He laughed as you chuckled, your cheeks growing hot.
"But uh...One thing I'd like to mention...I'm not one to top." You sheepishly chuckled as Angel hummed.
"I get it...Got any big kinks you want me to know tootz?" Angel cooed as he laid you down onto the bed, climbing on top. You practically melted into his touch, bright red from all this.
"Nope...I'm followin' you Angie, you can take the pace however you want.." You muttered sweetly as Angel nodded, cupping your cheek with one hand, kissing you softly as he used the other hands to undress the two of you. He straddled your waist, running his hands over your now bare body as he pulled away from the kiss.
"Not gonna lie tootz, I was expectin' ya to be a top~" He giggled as you bashfully looked away. Angel simply cooed from this, turning your head to face him. "Awh~ don't get shy on me now babe~" He teased as you let out a shaky sigh, before jolting a bit with a soft moan, feeling Angel's hand wrap around your shaft.
"A-Angel please be-"
"I know, I know babe, I'll be gentle...Just wasn't expecting you to be so big~" He sweetly said, leaning down and kissing your cheek. You began to whimper a bit, feeling Angel slowly drag his hand from the base to the tip, rubbing it gently to spread the pre-cum.
"Holy f-fuck angel that- mhh~ -feels a-amazing- ah..~" You moaned out, shuddering from the feeling of Angel peppering your neck in sweet kisses.
"I'm glad babe, s'all i want you to feel..pleasure all the way..~" Angel cooed, holding you closely to him. While one hand pumped your length, the other began rubbing your entrance softly, before pushing its way in, earning a whimper of minor pain from you. Angel gasped, sitting up with worry. "You ok babycakes?"
"Y-Yeah I'm fine Angie..hnn..You can keep going..~" You muttered, as Angel nodded with a sweet look, hugging you close with his two free arms, while two fingers fucked your hole, and the other stroked you. You let out a soft whimper, beginning to pant.
"Are you close babe?~" Angel asked, keeping you close to him while you reached your high. You let out yet another whimper, this time more desperate and needy. "C'mon sweet thing, let loose, ok~?" Angel cooed as you covered your mouth, doing just that. Once you finished, you let your arms fall to your side, as Angel laid on top, playing with your hair. "Happy?"
"So fucking happy babe." You chuckled breathlessly, as you two shared a quick kiss, before Angel sighed.
"Love you Y/n."
"Love you too Angie."

Chapter 1 [NEXT]
I winced at the bright light that suddenly enveloped my face. Covering my eyes from further abuse, I sat up in my bed and rubbed them out. I could've sworn I shut the curtains tight so this wouldn't happen. Upon placing my hand down on my bed, I felt a peculiar texture and immediately snapped my eyes open. Around me was greenery, something that isn't in my bedroom. I stumbled up from my bed—which happened to be made of moss—and looked around.
Where the fuck am I?
The last thing I remembered before dozing off was watching TenSura. Ah, what an anime. No! No time for that right now! I gotta figure out what happened. I felt around my person for anything but found nothing. I'm stranded out here with no phone or supplies.
Honestly, it's probably just a prank my friends pulled. Though this feels borderline too far, I suppose they wouldn't actually leave me for dead in the middle of some unknown place, right?
Right?
Sighing, I began to walk around. Well, not around, in as straight of a line as I could. I can't waste time going in circles. After a few moments of walking, I came across a dirt path. I'll be damned, I'm not completely lost. I still don't recall any dirt trails I'd personally know near me, though, so I just hope I'm not too far from home. Or a gas station. I really have to pee right now. I kept walking for quite some time and felt like I was getting absolutely nowhere. Suddenly, the trees and greenery around me got thinner and thinner. Once the trees had ended, I walked out into a nice field. On either side of the path I'm walking lies some sort of vegetable or something. Maybe rice? It's set up so weirdly… I don't think this is anywhere near my house.
Looking further ahead, there was a bright blob in the middle of the road. It wasn't moving and didn't look like any animal I'd seen, so I continued forward toward it. Maybe it'll have some telling of where I'm at.
As I got closer, my stomach began to twist. I felt such an intense wave of déjà vu wash over me, but I shoved it aside. Once I approached it, it became clearer and more person-sized? No, not just person-sized, but just a human! I crouched down beside them, they weren't making too much noise. Honestly, I was concerned because they were just trembling there.
"U-Uhm," I started out, but it felt like I haven't used my voice in days, "excuse me? Are you ok?" I went to reach out to nudge their shoulder when they stopped moving altogether. Their head snapped up suddenly and this man's amber eyes were locked onto mine.
And then he opened his mouth.
"AHHHHHHHHH! I thought I heard someone coming, but I thought I was crazy, but it turned out to be an angel sent from above!" In mere seconds he had pushed my back and was nuzzling my cheek, a sobbing mess. "You've got to marry me! MARRY ME PLEASE! I might die soon!" My face exploded in color as I tried to shove the strange man off of me. Looking around, there was no one here to help me so I panicked and began to hit him.
"Off! Get off of me!" He seemed to not care as he continued to cling to me and beg for marriage. I don't think I'm ready for that. As I continually assaulted him, I got a closer look at his face.
It was snotty, but I instantly recognized the blond and orange hair, the bushy brows, and—oh god—the haori. How could I not recognize this pattern sooner? My swings got weaker as I put the realization together and he seemed to quiet down a bit once he noticed, but I swung harder once I remembered cosplayers exist.
This man could just be pretending to be Zenitsu to cop a feel of random girls and blame it on his character! With this new fuel to my anger, I successfully kicked him off and scrambled backward onto my feet. I brushed my shorts off from the dirt path. He pulled himself back up and began to walk on his knees towards me, hands are done in a praying motion. "Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasemarryme-" he babbled.
"Ugh, just get away from me, it's pathetic you have to cosplay that just to touch a girl." He blinked, seemingly not understanding a word I said before he lunged. Screaming, I tried to turn and run off from his sudden attack, but he was too fast. Lightning fast. Does this kid do track in his spare time?
"You can't leave me here! I'll probably die on my next mission and if I do I'll never have the chance to marry someone so you have to marry me right now!" He was getting desperate, his fingers digging into my hips from how hard he was gripping. I was actually starting to tear up when suddenly his weight was forced off of me. I looked up and saw a man in a green and black haori, a box strapped onto his back and an irritated look adorned his face as he faced the blond.
Did I stumble into a cosplay reenactment scene and they used me as the girl? They began bickering, running through the same shtick as I slowly boiled with anger. Would it not hurt to ask someone's permission? Maybe I wouldn't have minded or even dressed up for it!
"This is so fucking stupid, next time ask someone before you involve them in your games." I snapped at the squabbling pair, effectively stopping their argument and I turned to walk off, hoping to find someone competent enough to help me.
"Stop! You're going to be my wife!" 'Zenitsu' reached out again, grabbing my shirt and yanking me back. I fell on my ass pretty hard and let out a groan. He squeaked and crawled over with speed to my side. "I'msosorryididntmeantopullyouthathard-" I held my hand up and stopped him, which to my surprise he did.
"A-Are you OK?" I looked up to see 'Tanjirou' reaching his hand out as if to help me up. I accepted and he pulled me up gently, even stepping in between me and 'Zenistu.' At least one of these guys has manners.
"Yes," I paused, contemplating asking him for directions. "Do you know how I could get back home? I don't know this area very well. We shouldn't be too far from [address], right?" His look changed to an uncertain one as he looked me over. This further puzzled him, I guess.
"[Address]? I haven't heard of anywhere like that near me. Which prefecture are you from?" Prefecture? Excuse me.
"Look, we're not in Japan so don't play with me right now. I'm looking for [address] in [State/Province]. You can drop the act." I swallowed as the boy in front of me struggled to understand. Even 'Zenitsu' was quiet, trying to figure out what I was talking about. Is it that hard to stop with the reenactment to help someone who's lost?
"But we are in Japan? What are you talking about?" I opened my mouth to further argue with him but stopped myself. I woke up out of nowhere in the middle of some forestry area. I don't remember getting there at all, not to mention I clearly remember laying in my own bed last night. To say I am confused is an understatement. I genuinely believe this is fake and there are cosplayers in front of me, but a part of me is scared. What if I'm actually here?
I shook my head, it's not possible. Looking back up at 'Tanjirou' who was waiting patiently for me, I reached up to run my hand through his hair. Before he could object, I already had his strands between my fingers and I felt over his head for bumps from possible wig caps. None. Leaving him red-faced and stammering, I turned to 'Zenitsu' who had watched the interaction with jealousy. I proceeded to do the same to him, which he absolutely enjoyed. But still no wig cap. I pulled my hand away to his disappointment and examined it for any spray-on dyes.
Ok, this has got to be either a really good dye job or my ass is in Kimetsu no Yaiba. And yet, for some reason, I felt calmer than I should. Maybe it's because I don't thoroughly believe it yet? And honestly, as excited as I am for an isekai, I at least want to know if it's real, y'know?
"I- Sorry, I just needed to know if this was… really happening." I covered it lamely. "What I mean is, I don't remember coming to Japan."
"How could you not remember coming?? You speak the language." The blond pointed an accusing finger at me. This puzzled me, I don't think I'm speaking Japanese. In fact, I don't hear it either.
"But your outfit… tells a different story." 'Tanjirou' commented, looking me over once more. I look down at myself to see the loose pair of shorts I sleep in and a random [design] shirt. There is literally nothing wrong with my outfit. Well, I guess unless I am in an anime set back in time, there is.
"Shut up! There's nothing wrong with her outfit!" OK, maybe this actually is Zenitsu. He giggled and crawled forward, reaching for my thighs when I slapped his hands away. "That's ok, I can wait for my… my…" I expected him to say wife, but it looks like he was going for something different. "What's your name?"
Of course, they wouldn't know your name, dipshit. "Sorry, it's [Y/N]."
"[Y/N]." Tanjirou tasted, slowing the pronunciation. "I knew your accent was strange, but this definitely backs up that you're a foreigner. My name is Kamado Tanjirou, but please, call me Tanjirou."
Not missing a beat, the blond beside him scrambled up and grabbed my hand, smiling. "I'm Agatsuma Zenitsu. Your future husband." I pulled my hand from his grasp and stifled back a laugh. Me? In this situation? Fanfiction could never beat this.
"You said you don't know your way around right? Well, more specifically that you don't know how you got here, you could come with me and I could take you to a nearby village?" That sounds like a shit idea, to be dropped off at a random village and just left. However, I could travel with them to their next mission and see if this place is actually real.
I opened my mouth to respond before Zenitsu butted in. "You! You got in my way once already, I'm not letting you again! We're going together!" He dramatically pointed at Tanjirou, seething at the idea of the two of us traveling alone.
"Fine, we'll go together then, but I do have a mission we need to complete." Zenitsu panicked and began to have a full meltdown again, to my and Tanjirou’s disappointment. After his scenic spazz attack, Tanjirou managed to hoist him up and get him to walk a way with us.
"Better now?" The redhead smiled at the other.
"Mm, yeah, but I'm hungry." I walked along the other side of Tanjirou, making sure I stood away from Zenitsu. Tanjirou reached into his haori, pulling out an onigiri and splitting it. He handed one half to Zenitsu and offered the other to me.
Not gonna lie, it looks good, but provided I'm experiencing this in real life, he's going to need it more than me. I shook my head, "Keep it, I feel nauseous. " I didn't lie, I do feel sick right now, but I'm not sure if it's just nervousness or not. Tanjirou opened his mouth to offer again, but I grabbed his arm and had him take a bite. He was surprised at my action but didn't bother offering it again. I know he was hungry, too, so I would keep chewing and swallowing as well.
"Eh?! Really, just eat in front of her?! Don't you have any other food!" Suddenly flustered, Tanjirou swallowed harshly and began sputtering.
"I-I'm sorry, this is all I had left-" I slapped Zenitsu upside his head for making Tanjirou panic. Not saying another word, Tanjirou finished his half, not trying to invoke anything like that out of me.
"Give it a rest! I'm not hungry, can't you listen?" I glared at the blond, who teared up in response.
"[Y/N]-chan, you've been hitting me all day! Why can't you hit Tanjirou like that?!" He brokenheartedly bit into his snack.
Tanjirou paled and looked at me. "Tanjirou hasn't been acting stupid! Also, it's only been like 20 minutes since we've met?!" The redhead was relieved to see I wasn't gunning him down. Tanjirou stuck his tongue out at Zenitsu before a crow circled above them and cawed out.
"Tanjirou! Zenitsu! Start running to your next destination! Run! Run!" Hearing that in person, yeah a little creepy.
"AHHHH- THAT CROW! IT JUST SPOKE TO US! crowsarentsupposedtodothatright?!" Zenitsu fell to the ground, having one of his episodes again. Instead of helping him, Tanjirou and I just stood there, staring at him with a blankly stare. Was it ever right for me to simp for this scrub?
( ˘▽˘)っ☆゚.*・。゚
The rest of the walk was decently calm, except for the occasional whining of Zenitsu wanting to stay back. We eventually reached our destination, which was a tall manor, mansion? Big home. Yes, that. I can't remember what happens here too well since it's been a minute, but there should he some kids around here. I scanned the area.
"I smell blood, lots of it." Tanjirou sniffed.
"Smell? I don't know about that, but I can hear something from inside… you hear it, right?" They looked at each other, and then at me. I looked back at them blankly.
"Huh? Did you ask me something?" They deadpan. Zenitsu begins to repeat it when Tanjirou interrupts him.
"Look, children. " We follow his gaze to the tree line where a young boy and girl stood, clinging to each other with wide eyes. Zenitsu is startled for a moment since he didn't hear them, but Tanjirou took the lead and stepped towards them carefully before crouching down to their height. I followed behind, hoping to not frighten them. "Hi! Is this your house?" The kids shook their heads and he continued. "Could you tell me what's wrong? I'm here to help you." After they showed no signs of speaking, Tanjirou pulled Zenitsu's sparrow out and presented it to them. "Look at what I have, it's a sparrow." It took a moment, but they relaxed and one of them finally spoke up.
"Th-There's a monster in there!" The boy choked out. "We were with my brother and a monster grabbed him! We followed them here with his blood but… he was hurt badly." The kids teared up. I wanted to hold them close and tell them it would be ok, but it felt weird. Like it wasn't my place.
"That was very brave of you two, to follow him all the way here. Don't you worry, me and my friend here are going to help him and reunite you three." The girl's eyes sparkled.
"Really?! You're going to save our brother!" Tanjirou gave her a kind smile and nodded.
"Hey, do you hear that? It's like drums." Zenitsu spoke up seriously, staring at the second-floor window. What happened here again? I listened closely, trying to hear what he was hearing but couldn't.
No-
I got up and ran towards the house but by the time I got there, I was too late. A body flung itself from the second story and landed mere feet in front of me. I stared down at it, wide-eyed, feeling the blood spatter hit my bare legs and cheeks. I heard the other two run towards me, Tanjirou crouching over the body. I remember this scene, as he's the one who comforted him in his last moments. Could I have saved him if I caught him? Or was he too far gone before that?
"Hey! Are you OK?" Zenitsu turned me around to face him, I stared at him blankly for a moment. He had a look of concern and his hands were around both of my wrists. I shook myself out of it and gave a half smile.
"Yeah, just wasn't expecting that." That was a lie. "I just was trying to hear what you were hearing." What I really didn't expect was a legitimate dead body. I didn't expect the realness of the situation. If I enter that house with them, will I come out like this next? I'm just an anomaly. Anything could happen to me.
Zenitsu felt around his person until he found a spare cloth that he happened to have. He placed one of his hands under my chin to look up at him and used the cloth to clean off what splattered on my face. He had a soft smile while he was doing it, and damn I almost melted right there. Well, that was until he finished with my face and dropped down, wiping at my leg while placing his other hand firmly on my ass to hold himself up. "I'll get you cleaned up, [Y/N]-chan~" This ruined it and I planted my foot against his chest to push him away. He fell backward, losing his grip on the cloth he had and I used it to quickly get what he didn't before he sat back up. "So mean…"
I turned to Tanjirou who finished laying the boy in a respective way. He turned towards the kids and gestured toward this man. "Is this… your brother?" They shook their heads and he sighed in relief. "Then we still have time." He bowed to the body before getting up and walking over to the kids. He took his box off and handed it to them, smiling. "This will protect you. I and my friend are going in for your brother, so just wait here with [Y/N] and everything will be alright!"
Thank God, he didn't expect me to go in with him. Zenitsu, however, looks like he was just given a life sentence. "I don't know if we should Tanjirou! I can't fight!" He cried. I glanced over at the kids who stared at him in obvious disgust. Eh, maybe I do wanna go in. I could see him make a fool of himself in front of those kids. Tanjirou's only response to that was to grab him by the haori and drag him to the entrance.
"We'll be back, [Y/N]! Stay with the kids." He waved as he and Zenitsu entered the building. I sighed, looking back at the box of his sister and the children. If it weren't the day, maybe I would take a peek inside. I crouched down beside it, reaching out to examine the materials used, and suddenly the box shook, and scratching sounds emitted from it. I jumped, and immediately felt stupid since I expected it to happen. The kids screamed and dashed for the main door.
I got up and ran towards them after I realized they were making a b-line for the entrance. "No! Don't go in there!" I was a few inches short of grabbing the boy's kimono when the door slid shut. I stood there, mid-run and my hand outstretched where the boy once was. I can't go in there, I won't live! But I have to, what will Tanjirou and Zenitsu think about me if I let those kids run in there?
Actually, Zenitsu wouldn't blame me one bit.
But that's not the problem, it's immoral. I reached for the door and went to open it, but it wouldn't budge. I glared at it and tried again. Still, no movement. I took a few steps back from the door and looked at the frame and—there! The door was slammed so hard, it broke the door frame. The door is now jammed into the wood, and therefore not moving. Huh, I guess I don't need to go then. Kicking the frame in slight frustration, I made my way back to Tanjirou's box and sat on the ground beside it. Soon enough, there were scratches coming from the box again. I furrowed my brows. Does she need something?
"Hello?" She doesn't know me yet, so I don't want to just start calling her name. "Is there someone in there?" I was met with silence. I waited a bit longer to see if she'd respond, but it seems since she can't sense Tanjirou outside the box, she doesn't want to. Tanjirou… "Are you worried about Tanjirou? He's going to be OK, trust me! He'll be back soon." I stopped at that, not wanting to give her too many details. Just give her hope for his return.
After a moment, there was more movement in the box, with no scratches this time. She must've been stressed before with Tanjirou leaving her here. I hope that brings her some peace.
It felt like a good hour, but eventually, there was movement from the house. Zenitsu came barreling out of the same window as the guy from before. In his arms was the boy from earlier. I gotta admit, he looks pretty cool when he's doing selfless stuff. I ran over to where he was going to land and, again, fell short and watched as he hit the ground. Fortunately, I knew he was going to be OK already.
The boy, however, didn't. "Ah! Are you OK?!" He gasped out, pointing at Zenitsu's head.
I looked closer and winced at the stream of blood where his head hit the ground. "Yeah, I'm better than ever since I got out of there, why?" He rubbed his head sheepishly and then froze when he felt something wet. Bringing his hand back in front of him, he saw blood and screamed. "TH-THAT'S WHY!" I pulled the cloth he was using earlier and pressed it against his wound for him. In response, he giggled gratefully and flushed. Man's was just dying and now he's blushing. Great.
A crush suddenly emitted from the other side of the building and a boar-headed figure rounded the corner. "I sense a demonic presence!" And then the most guttural cackle came from him. He started towards Tanjirou's box.
Honestly, I could care less because of damn this man's chest. Stop, stop ogling him right now, [Y/N]. I can't stop. Stop. I can't stop. Stop. I can't- UGHSG, get to Nezuko now! I can't get distracted by him, he's literally targeting her.
I half expected Zenitsu to get up as he does in the story, but he's too busy begging to be babied further by me to do it. I groaned and sprinted towards the box, Zenitsu sitting up confused behind me. I blocked Inosuke's leg as he came to kick back the box. His foot met my crossed arms and knocked me back into the box. A corner lodged itself into my back and I gasped in pain. Jesus fuck, that hurt.
"You, woman, get out of my way!" He pointed a sword down at me, tip at my nose. I scowled and pushed the box back further, backing up with it. He brought his sword up to swing it down when suddenly there was yellow in between us. Zenitsu stood there, arms out. "St-Stop! Leave her and the box alone!"
"There's a demon in that box and if you don't move I'll have to take you with it." Zenitsu stuttered for a moment, aware that he was right.
"No! Well, I mean! I know that! I'll ask Tanjirou when I see him, I just haven't yet." He glanced around nervously.
Inosuke didn't like this answer and pulled his arm back. "I don't care! I'll take him and his box out!" He proceeded to punch Zenitsu, who recoiled back at me. I caught him and stabilized his stance so he didn't fall over. Inosuke continued his pursuit and kicked Zenitsu's legs out from underneath him and began to kick him while he was down. In reflex, I got up and tackled the boar. This pisses me off too much to be able to stop and watch.
He laughed maniacally as we rolled over each other, fighting for dominance. I swung at him at any chance I got, but it was like my punches weren't doing anything to him. I kept my stomach and face as protected as I could, but there was only so much I could do when being rolled around on the ground. I could hear Zenitsu yelling out, but eventually, Inosuke's fist met my stomach and I gasped for air, letting go of him. He took advantage of this and got another hit on the side of my face. My ears were ringing and I tried to make out voices from it but had a hard time focusing on them and trying to breathe. I could feel myself being sat up as I began to breathe again. My hearing was clearing and Zenitsu was snapping to get my attention.
"[Y/N]! [Y/N]! Can you hear me? Oh my god, are you alive?!" I looked around before answering him, seeing Inosuke knocked back and Tanjirou standing above him, seething.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. It just made things fuzzy for a moment." I tried to get up but immediately got pulled back into Zenitsu's lap.
"No! You shouldn't get up after getting hit like that!" My eye twitched.
"Zenitsu, I'm fine. It just, like, stunned me for a moment, I guess." I tried to pry myself from his grasp again to no avail. I glanced over at Tanjirou who watched us with disgust I know people could only hold for Zenitsu. His attention was snatched by Inosuke once again as he began to sit up.
"I understand! Fight me, with your fists!" Tanjirou sweat dropped and told him no. Inosuke ignored him and lunged at him, Tanjirou missing just barely. I wiggled out of Zenitsu's grasp while they had their squabble. Eventually, Inosuke's head was grabbed and Tanjirou slammed his head into the boar's. There was a sickening crunch that I even heard and I winced.
"DIDYOUGUYSJUSTBREAKYOURSKULLS?!" Zenitsu screamed, shaking his head back and forth at the scene. The boar head slowly came off Inosuke and I stared in anticipation. Blue hair and vibrant green eyes were revealed and I squealed. Of course, I clamped my hand over my mouth, but I don't think it matters since neither guy was looking my way. "EH?! A girl's face! How could someone with your personality be so pretty!"
Inosuke turned towards Zenitsu. "Got a problem with my face?!" He huffed.
"No! There isn't a problem! It's just that most people, including me, would consider it an attractive face!" Tanjirou smiled nervously. This seemed to rile Inosuke up further. I had no comments, I just wanted to soak up this moment and look. He caught my gaze and lunged forward again.
"You! Do you have a problem with my face? Stop staring!" He growled as Tanjirou and Zenitsu caught him halfway. "I'm going to fight all of you! Fight me! Headbutt me! Just fight me!"
"Stop! We can't do that!"
"Stop! It's taboo to fight with each other! Is it really that fun to you? To beat those who are weaker than you??"
The guy flexibly bounced back, doing a flip and landing in an interesting pose. "Fight me now! I'm flexible, strong! I won't take no for an answer."
"Stop bending like that! You've got broken ribs! That can't be good for you." They cry.
"There is no one else like me! Only I can do this! Aren't I awesome?! Aren't I?!" He smiled up at them in his scorpion pose. "Now fight me!"
"No!" Everyone yells.
"You know what! I'll tell you my name! Hashibara Inosuke! You better remember it!" He stood up straight.
"How is it spelled??" Tanjirou piped up.
Inosuke was taken aback. "Spelled?! Eh! I don't know how to spell, or read! I just know my name was written on my loin-ACK!" He paused. We watched as his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he fell back.
Zenitsu screamed. "Is he dead?!" Tanjirou quickly knelt down beside the man and sighed in relief.
"He's just unconscious! I bet I gave him a concussion when I headbutted him." He smiled.
"A-Are you OK?" The girl spoke up, Tezuka? Teruko? Teruko I think.
"Yes! I was born with a really hard head, like my mother!" He smiled proudly. Teruko grinned at him and reached up.
"Could I touch your head?" He nods and lowers his head for her and she runs her small hand across it, even tapping it. "Wow, it is tough!" I lean in and reach out as well. Might as well do it, too, since he's offering. My palm came into contact with his forehead and he turned red. I ran my thumb across it and the red mark and smiled.
"Yeah, it's hard." Zenitsu began whining behind me, disappointed.
Tanjirou stared for a moment before he got up hurriedly. "I-I think we should start burying the dead. There were countless people in there." He started off in the direction of the house, before making Zenitsu give him his haori and taking his own off to make sure Inosuke was more comfortable. After that, he barely spared me a glance before taking Zenitsu with him inside again. Was I not going to help?
( ˘▽˘)っ☆゚.*・。゚
Yeah, I helped more than they wanted me to. How do I know this? The moment they brought the first bodies out, I helped with the burials and they kept trying to push me away. I proved stubborn and kept assisting where I thought I could. There was a sudden movement from behind us and we turned just in time for Inosuke to get up and face us.
“What are you guys doing?” he asked.
“We’re burying the dead, you should help.” Inosuke turned his head up in distaste.
“I don’t need to help, I see no reason to bury them.” I opened my mouth to say something since he was so rude about it, but Tanjirou beat me to it. Honestly, I preferred his response anyway.
“Oh, it’s OK, I see. You’re too injured to help, right? Please, lay down and get some rest. I wouldn’t want you to overdo it.” He gave a coy smile. I had to stifle my laugh. Way to go. Even Zenitsu looked impressed.
Inosuke growled and pointed at him. “No! I can do it! I can bury more bodies than you ever could!” And with that, he ran off back into the estate. With him hard at work, we got everyone buried properly. Paying one last bit of respect, we turned to leave. In the distance, Inosuke was rushing head-first into trees. Tanjirou’s crow circled above us, calling out and shocking the children.
“Go down the mountain!”
“Is that crow really talking?” Shoichi asked.
“Crows actually have higher intelligence than most people believe. It’s very possible.” I smiled down at him. He nodded in thought.
We walked for another 10 minutes before the path split and the three siblings took the left. They bowed and thanked us for escorting them down. Zenitsu caused a scene, dragging Shouichi down, and begging him not to leave us. After some convincing, we pulled him off and went our separate ways once the crow handed the ward to the kid. As soon as they were out of sight, Inosuke began to pick another fight with Tanjirou.
“Come! Fight me, you!” He pointed at the redhead. I groaned inwardly.
“Dude, can’t you calm down?” I poked my finger into his forehead, pushing him back.
“You! Weak woman, fight me as well!”
Ticked, Tanjirou spoke up again. “We have names you know! I’m Kamado Tanjirou, and this is Agatsuma Zenitsu and [Y/N]!” Inosuke laughed at this.
“Alright, Gonpachiro Kamaboko! I’ll beat you.” He stated seriously. Zenitsu and I could help it and laugh.
"Excuse me, who? I don’t know who you’re talking about!” Tanjirou whined.
“You! Gonpachiro!” In response to this, Tanjirou retorted with his proper name.
I sighed. “This is exciting.”
Shortly after that argument, we came to a gate with a Wisteria crest on it. I marveled at the size of it as the crow came back within distance and landed on Tanjirou. “Rest! Anyone who was injured, rest!” Tanjirou raised a brow, skeptical of the crow's comment.
“Huh, what about earlier when I was fighting with my broken rib and leg from the mission before?!” The crow looked sheepish and let out a dry cough. Inosuke popped up on the other side of him and grasped his tail, holding him up.
“Let’s eat him.” I gagged at the idea of it, and the crow itself screamed in discontent, flapping to get away.
The gate creaked open and an elder woman stepped through, a warm smile on her face. “Hello, welcome. You guys are demon slayers, right?” There were glances my way before they curtly nodded. Well, except for Inosuke.
He stood beside her, poking a finger into the side of her head. “What are you? A demon? Huh?? You look weak.” Steam escapes through his mask.
“Rude!” Tanjirou exclaimed, but the old lady seemed unbothered.
“Please, come in.” She turned to the side and entered the gates, walking ahead at an alarming pace. In hopes of keeping up, I quickly scrambled after her, and the others followed shortly. She led us to one room and gestured inside. The boys entered and before I could step foot, she stopped me. “Here, I have a separate room for you to change in.” Huh, understandable. She led me not too far down the hall to another room and handed me a clean yukata. It was just white with a faint, generic pattern in it. So simple. “When you’re done, you can come back down the hall to the left and I’ll have food prepared.” I nodded and she left before I could say thank you.
Once I had changed and put my scuffed-up clothes to the side, I stepped out into the hall. It was empty, except for the faint noises coming from Tanjirou and the others. I honestly didn’t know where I was going, but I didn’t worry too much as I had the sound of their voices to follow. I came up to a lit-up room with a crack in the door. I pushed it open to reveal four sets of food, Tanjirou and Inosuke were sitting next to each other while Zenitsu had the empty spot reserved beside him, waving me down. I tentatively took a seat beside him, causing him to squeal.
I picked up my chopped sticks and tried some of the food, a little clumsily, might I add. I liked most of it and picked around a few parts I didn’t quite enjoy. Across from me, Inosuke had his boar head off, eating away at his food with his hands. Huh, I wonder if they’ll care if I do the same. One day if I get tired of it, I’ll break down and do it, too. “She’s a monster!” He shovels a mouthful of rice and shrimp in his mouth and begins to speak again. “Granny’s a monster! She does things too fast!” Tanjirou recoils in disgust.
“Use your chopsticks!” Inosuke stops for a moment and grins before snatching some of his food off his plate. Zenitsu was clearly bothered at the sight, but kept his mouth shut in fear of falling victim, as well, I’m sure. Tanjirou went to put some more of his food on Inosuke’s plate, but I stopped him and proceeded to place what I had left on my plate on his. Honestly, it was mostly the things I didn’t like from the selection, so it wasn’t a loss for me. “Oh, I wouldn’t have minded, [Y/N]!”
I shrugged. “I didn’t like that anyways, might as well give it to someone who will eat it.” I took a drink of my tea. He nodded back in understanding and continued to eat. Zenitsu tugged on the sleeve of my shirt and offered his chopsticks to me.
“[Y/N]-chan! Feed me please~ I’m so tired.” I groaned and declined.
“No, thanks. I’m not interested. If Tanjirou and Inosuke can feed themselves, you can, too.” I huffed. He pouted and began to eat again, albeit dejectedly.
After everyone was finished, they went to the room they were originally in. There were three futons set up in the boy's room and I inwardly groaned. I expected this, but I’m too nervous to say anything about it so I’ll just suck it up. I walked back to my room alone and shut the door behind me. The room was scarcely decorated and a decently fluffy-looking futon was in the center of the room. I sunk into the bedding and turned over, thinking about today’s events.

Swap AU Part: 8
Adam had been rather fidgety and tense today, Michael noticed. The first man was usually more affectionate and tactile, always sticking close to him and dragging him around the garden to show him something new. And yet, today out of nowhere, Adam seemed to make sure to maintain some sort of distance between them, looking away as his mind seemed preoccupied with something. Like right now, Adam sat at least a metre apart from him as they have their daily shared lunches. The human was mindlessly nibbling on a slice of melon, his thoughts clearly far and away from where he was right now. The only relief that Michael had was that, at the very least, Adam didn’t seem to be avoiding him, though he was still acting weirdly towards him.
Having enough of being purposely ignored along with not being able to hide his concern any longer, Michael placed his own slice of melon down and confronted Adam. “What’s bothering you?”
“Huh?” Adam looked up from his slice of fruit and finally looked directly at Michael for the first time today.
“You’ve been rather distant today,” Michael clarified. “And you seem to be distracted by something. You know you can always tell me what’s bothering you.”
Adam fidgeted uneasily on his seat, his gaze back down on his barely eaten melon as he twiddled his fingers while he considered Michael’s suggestion. His brows furrowed and lips downturned, uncertainty painted upon his features as he weighed his options carefully in his mind.
“Oh, it’s nothing really…”
That…didn’t look good for Michael. “Have I done something to upset you?,” he asked. Michael knew that despite his efforts, he always seemed to put off others; apparently something to do with the atmosphere he exuded, whatever Lucifer meant. But now he was carefully considering his brother’s words, had he somehow been unkind to Adam? If so, it was something he wanted to quickly apologise for and rectify.
“What?” Adam quickly glanced back at the angel. “Oh nonono! That’s not..! It isn’t..!,” Adam paused to gather his thoughts. “You’re not at fault Michael,” he smiled softly albeit still anxiously.
He shouldn’t pry, Michael knew he really shouldn’t, but damn if he wasn’t curious now, still concerned, but definitely on the more curious side now. That, and Adam’s answer just wasn’t satisfactory enough to deter his curious wondering, especially when the first man didn’t seem to be wholly honest with his response.
“So how come you’ve been avoiding being direct with me today?,” he inquired.
Adam opened his mouth to try and refute, but before any words came out, Michael continued his questioning.
“You’ve been keeping a certain distance from me, you keep looking away from me, and you’ve been keeping our conversations short,” Michael listed the oddities he noticed today, counting them one by one with his fingers. Three pale fingers were held up accusingly towards Adam.
“I– uhm.” Adam’s throat suddenly felt very dry, having his actions listed like that made him feel caught out. “Are you really going to make me tell you?,” he asked with wide pleading eyes, lower lip bitten.
Well, now Michael just felt awful. Perhaps he had pushed too much. He sighed, “No, you don’t have to tell me anything if you don’t want to. I’m just worried I did something wrong.” Deep blue eyes held Adam’s golden ones, as Michael expressed his sincere apology. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have pushed you like that.”
And that just sent Adam’s heart aflutter even more as the warmth in his soul spread aglow throughout his being, spreading such giddy happiness all over. He just couldn’t help it; the more he spent time with the angel, the more deeply fell into this whirlpool of pink flowers and light fluttering wings of blue butterflies. It felt inescapable, and honestly, he didn’t want to leave at all as he enjoyed the sweet scents and the soft brush of it against his bare skin while he stood at its epicentre. It was like being in a completely new world, separate from Heaven and Eden, and more beautiful than both combined. It was his paradise within paradise.
Slowly, he moved closer to the angel, sitting at a distance he normally used to be in. It was odd, for him to act so boldly now that he was keenly aware of what his heart contained. Adam glanced down at the angel beside him, long lashes shading his golden eyes that held an uncharacteristic seriousness behind them. “I’ll offer you the same deal like last time,” he proposed, his voice almost a whisper. “I’ll tell you, only if you keep it a secret.”
Suddenly, it was Michael himself who felt like he needed more space between him and Adam. Such closeness and the way Adam currently looked under the sun’s bright glow, it was like the man himself was made of the purest of gold; more divine than anything in Heaven, and yet completely whole with the earth. It was as if the gold had seeped into his very being, the liquid quickly solidifying within him, leaving him stiff and unable to move a single muscle within such a pure presence. Somehow, perhaps through divine help, his voice finally managed to find its way out of his lips. “I promise.”
The air was still around them, the playful banter between the ripples of the lake quieted down, the garden’s residents moved more gently and softly all to listen in on the words about to be said aloud by the first man. Adam took a deep breath, his nerves set alight, heart pounded against his chest demanding to be freed. And so, he did. “Michael, I… You’re the reason that I look forward to seeing the sun rise high up in the sky everyday.”
Adam paused, trying to maintain his composure; though his eyes wanted to look away and his body to run far away, he kept his gaze at the angel who had his heart and anchored his body to remain beside him. “You were by my side when I needed it most, and even now you still remain.” He gently held Michael’s hands between his and confessed, “I would like to be the one to remain by your side, Michael.”
The confessed words lingered in the air in anticipation of what was to come next. Michael felt himself drawn into such beautiful eyes, that held such vulnerability and anxiety, but most of all love. His gaze moved down to the first man’s lips, and unconsciously, Michael leaned up towards Adam, slowly closing the gap between them.
“Michael–,” Adam gasped.
But before the distance between was closed, Michael stopped his advance, suddenly becoming very aware of the situation they were in. Out in the open in broad daylight, he was about to…to… He pulled away from Adam and turned away, untangling their hands in the process. Shame and alarm washed over him like a wave of freezing water as the reality of what he had almost done sank into him.
“Michael?,” asked Adam as he tried to look over the angel, confused at the sudden change in his behaviour.
Michael kept his back turned to Adam, unable to face the human. “I’m sorry Adam.”
Three words, and Adam felt his heart shatter into a million jagged shards. What had happened? One moment Michael seemed to reciprocate his feelings, and then pushed him away in the next. Had he read things wrong?
“I don’t understand. You were about to–”
“Make a mistake,” Michael cut in.
Adam could feel tears well up in his eyes and his lips quiver despite his efforts not to cry. “So I would’ve just been a mistake to you…”
Upon hearing this, Michael quickly turned around to face a sniffling Adam. “What? No! That’s not what I meant,” he grasped Adam’s face between his hands, forcing the human to look him directly in the eyes. “You’re not a mistake Adam, you won’t ever be.”
“Then why?”
“Because you are the first man, and I’m an archangel. It just cannot be, you know that,” answered Michael.
Adam removed Michael’s hands away from his face, but kept his gaze held. “But how do you feel?”
“I…care for you, Adam,” he replied, breaking his gaze away from the first man as he looked down at their intertwined hands.
“But not enough to follow through with it.” Adam tried to pull his hands away, but Michael held them firm between his.
“It doesn’t matter how much I care for you. It’s not allowed. The consequences could be dire, especially for you.” He looked back up at Adam, his eyes begging the first man to please understand what he was trying to convey. “Please understand, Adam. I can’t risk you.”
With a resigned sigh, Adam slowly nodded, “I understand. It couldn’t be helped, I suppose.” He pulled his hands away from Michael, this time the angel letting it go, and placed them over his broken heart. He needed some distance between the two of them, and not in the same way he had felt just mere minutes earlier. Space. He needed space between them.
“You should go,” he suggested. “It’s getting late.”
The sun was still at its highest point in the sky, and the lunch they had prepared together barely eaten, there was still plenty of time before Michael had to go back to Heaven. But when he attempted to reach out towards Adam and the man pulled further away from him, he knew that it was getting late.
“I…guess it is getting late…,” he hesitantly agreed. Michael stood up, patting his robes off of any dirt before unfurling his three pairs of white-blue wings. He glanced one last time at Adam, “I’ll be off then.” And then flew back to Heaven, leaving only dust behind from where he last stood.
Adam watched the now empty spot beside, and before he knew it, tears finally flowed down his cheeks. He understood where Michael was coming from, which was precisely why he felt so stupid right now. What exactly was he thinking? How could it have possibly ended any other way? He knew Michael, and how steadfast and loyal the angel was towards Heaven. He was lucky that Michael was even doing him such favours in the first place. He knew that, and yet he still… It seemed like Lilith got it all wrong.
Adam remained seated on the rock by the lake, tucking his legs close to his chest as the midday sun’s warmth seemed to have stopped reaching him. He broke the slices of melon into smaller chunks, tossing them into the lake as fishes from big to small rushed to gather where the fruit sank. Some smaller fish stayed further behind as fish that looked similar to them swam back to them with a chunk of fruit in their mouth. Waterfowls of different kinds also gathered by the lake, hoping to get some fruit as well. Many came in pairs, flying and swimming together, feeding and grooming one another. Meanwhile, Adam sat by his lonesome on the rock as he watched the animals care for one another.
The drakes had their hens, the bucks with their does, the boars and their sows. Even the dragonflies by the reeds danced in pairs as they playfully chased one another, their iridescent wings shimmering under the morning’s light. It wasn’t fair. Adam hugged his legs even closer to himself as he buried his face in his arms, hiding the enviable sight away from his eyes. He tried to stop the tears from flowing out by pressing his eyes against his arms, but it seemed like a fruitless task as the pain that was seeded in his chest just kept growing and growing until they blossomed as tears that trickled down his cheeks. His mind understood Michael’s reason; logically, it made absolute sense, but his heart just couldn’t seem to cooperate and accept the fact.
Even Lilith, his supposed equal, had a partner, even if that someone was Lucifer. Every resident of the garden seemed to have someone who remained by their side, pairs who were meant to be together for eternity. And yet, here he was, made to have an equal and companion in mind, without someone to call his.

MILO AND SWEETHEART ON A WALK AND SOMEONE HITS ON SWEETHEART 🙏🙏
Warnings: Fluff, a little cussing
Characters: Milo Greer × Gn!Sweetheart
————————————————————————-
Milo and Sweetheart were on a walk to the store. They suggested it because why waste gas when they can get some fresh air and a good exercise in? The two walked hand in hand to their local liquor store, just wanting a few snacks before they laid down for a movie or something of the sort. When they arrived Milo darted to the back of the store and grabbed his favorite salty and his favorite sweet with a soda and a water bottle to balance it out. Meanwhile, Sweetheart was in the front, fulfilling their cheat day with a big bag of chips and a share size of M&MS.
Sweetheart was finished browsing the store and decided to go ahead and buy their own stuff, not waiting for Milo to come and offer his money like they figured he would. Milo soon met them at the counter with an armful of stuff.
“You should’ve waited for me, I could’ve paid for it baby” He spoke as he set his items on the counter and took out his wallet
Knew it.
“It’s fine Milo” they smiled at him, watching him do his thing. God he was so fine, even just paying for junk food at a corner store. They chuckled to themselves as they thought about how in love with they were with him.
When he was finally ready with his bag together, they started to exit the store. Not even a minute into leaving, he realized he forgot one thing.
“Sweetheart, did you pick up the few packs of gum you said you wanted?”
“Oh shit no I didn’t. Good catch” They spoke as they started to turn around and go back in to get it. But Milo, being the gentleman he was, wanted to actually pay for it this time.
“No it’s okay i’ll go pay for it, you stay right here” He said, turning around and going back in.
While Sweetheart waited patiently, scrolling on their phone, the unimaginable happened. A man, conventionally good looking, approached them. He looked a bit nervous but masked it with a false sense of confidence. They looked up at him and saw he was quite tall too. He wasn’t Milo, but they could see why people might like him.
“Hello good evening! I just came over here to tell you that I saw you from across the street and I think you’re really undeniably gorgeous”
It’s been a while since Sweetheart was hit on, they’re usually seen out with Milo or on a job, they never really had time to be outside enough for someone to stop and see them. Let alone approach them. If they were honest, they were flattered by it.
“Oh— Thank you” They spoke back, tone kind and cordial, trying not to give this man the wrong impression, but also trying not to be rude.
“Uhm…Are you single?” The man worked up the courage to finally ask, after a little banter. Sweetheart almost felt bad that they had to deject him like this, but they soon realized that they didn’t have to
“No they’re not” Milo came out of nowhere, with the packs of gum in his hand, putting his wallet in his back pocket with the other.
“Oh I’m so sorry!” The man immediately spoke up, getting the hint. Sweetheart held in a giggle when they could sense the possessiveness radiating off of Milo and the intimidated fear coming off of the man.“They are truly really stunning, I just came over to tell them”
“I know they are” Milo said, looking the man in the eyes and never looking away, not even once.
He left the sentence at that, making the guy a little uncomfortable, and with that, he muttered another apology and a goodbye to sweetheart before leaving, going back across the street.
Milo scoffed, sucking his teeth before wrapping an arm around Sweetheart’s waist and leading them back down the street that they came from, letting them know to walk with him. They’re going home, right now.
“Jeez baby did you have to scare him like that? I had it covered” Sweetheart giggled on their way back home
“Hey I had every right. I step back into the store for three god damn minutes waitin’ in that stupid ass line for three packs of fuckin double mint and come out to some random guy tryna hit on you, what else was I supposed to do? Plus whenever you say you got it covered, it almost always leads to a disaster”
“Uh— That is NOT true”
“You wanna bet?”
————————————————————————-
A/N: I’m definitely not sure how good this one is, but i thought it was kinda cute and short. I also happen to love a jealous Milo so this was kinda fun to write.
@annahhopee this one’s for you :)

shout out to the person who ate my last rock au post like a snake i made four more
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
aheemheem lore under the cut
ranboo as a snowflake obsidian is obvious, we never had a choice fr. i like to imagine that snowflake obsidians are very rare(having incredible terrakinesis abilities in a society of rock people is not something that should come in large numbers) so when he just randomly appeared on the rebel planet it was quite a shock. he literally came out of nowhere and doesnt even remember his own origins and not even the most historically inclined of them can figure out what those red and green insignias are.
for some reason i was REARING to add sam as SOON as possible so hes a mossy agate. he was assigned to a newer colony close to the lmanburg planet(name still pending) and was in charge of overseeing the construction of important structures; he grew very fond of the building and aided his workers a little more than he was probably allowed but nobody really stopped him. he worked alongside bad(black opal), antfrost(tigers eye), and ponk(clinohumite) and we will get to them. eventually. because of his proximity to the rebels, he'd grown pretty attached to that silly little rutile and offered him protection if ever he needed it. he never fully removes himself from homeworld, he doesnt really have a reason to, but he does offer help from behind the scenes on occasion. he still builds for them, particularly the prison which is sort of like the human zoo in canon in that it is a station floating around up there as opposed to being on a planet. also sam nook is his pearl that he asks to go check on tommy and hang out with him when he cant be there in person
i am going to be so incredibly honest i dont think ive written down any quackity lore i just really wanted to draw him. i think he was just pretty chill doing stuff for homeworld but then he heard about these rebels and was like. uhm bye i wanna know whats going on over there. i feel like his lore is so well understood and hes an established canon gem type so i dont have to do a lot of work for him hes already the perfect boy
as stated before, tubbo is a nephrite who had a lot of time to hang out with tommy before they all ran off to lmanplanet. he worked one station above tommy, but he wasnt a captain. i dont have much written for tubbo either, but it is safe to say that snowchester is on the moon and the fur is completely cosmetic.
These little character bits are mostly backstory unfortunately Tubbo and Quackity's lore happens on screen so I don't have much for them
I would love to explore their arcs in this au tho but y'all gotta wait

hi bestie!!! can I have "a twin bed" from the prompts for Val and Ernest? 🤭
Bestie I loved this, and love you! 🥰
Prompts are from the November Prompts List; inbox is, as always, open💗
Tired legs carried a tired body up the stairs, the journey home and all that had preceded it exhausting Val to the core. She had dozed off on the couch in her mothers living room, after a full Italian meal and hours upon hours of catching up on the years that had passed, when her eyes had slipped shut no one had said a word. With a silent gesture, Mama DiRosano had told Everett to take her up to their new apartment and put her to bed, but stopping at the door of the bedroom, he wasn’t so sure he was in the right room.
“Shit…” he swore lowly, hoping not to wake her, but knowing it was no use. She was a light sleeper these days.
“What…”
“Uhm, your mother knows we’re both staying, right?”
“Yes,” she blinked up at him, sleep starting to fade as Everett came fully into view. “Why, what’s the matter?”
“Then my next question is, are we in the right apartment?”
“Everett, yes, now what the hell is wrong?”
“That bed is about the size of your rack back in England.”
“What!”
Turning from where she was looking up at him, lo and behold, her old twin size bed was up in the room, and certainly not with any indication that Everett was to be joining her.
“I suppose we’ll have to snuggle up real good then.”
“I’m not going to lie, Val, but I was hoping for something a little bigger after years on a paper mattress.”
“I’ll sort it out with Mama in the morning, but for tonight, we can either snuggle here or on the sofa.”
“Here’s fine, baby. Don’t worry, I’m only joking.”
They hadn’t bothered digging for pajamas in their bags, or doing a proper nighttime routine. Her hair had not been set and she had stripped down to just her slip before falling beneath the covers. Holding the blankets up for him, she beckoned Everett to join her with a tired smile. Still in his army issue skivvies and undershirt, he crawled in beside her and attempted to get comfortable.
“Budge up a bit, hmm?”
“There’s nowhere to budge!”
“Wait… hold on…” he rustled around on his half of the bed before settling and pulling Val half on top of him. “There, better.”
“For who!?”
“Me, for starters,” he grinned. “You’re nice and close.”
“You’ll be okay like this all night?”
“Baby, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be than tangled up with you in our bed.”
“At least we don’t have to worry about Red or Chicky catching you in my bed anymore.” She giggled, lips pressed to his neck as she snuggled into him deeper.
“No, now it’s just your mother I need to worry about.”
“Better behave then, Major. Hands where I can see em.”
“Oh really! That’s how it is now?”
“I just said where I can see em, I didn’t say above the blankets.”
“You’re fresh.”
“And yet here you are…”
“Here I am.”

Mihangel was only a little bit more frightened than he cared to admit. He stood in the eerie almost-darkness of the woods near her grandparents old farmhouse, the full moon seeming brighter than it should, like a flood light in a horror film.
This feels like a goddamn horror film, she thought to herself. Wheeling around, searching frantically for something beyond the trees, hoping that the movement was simply the rustling of the branches. A bird, maybe. Probably just a bird.
If only Strangeways was here he thought. She always seemed to have cool head in these sorts of situations, and for sure had her fair share of spooky forests in the middle of the night. If only the Doctor was - no. The Doctor didn't need to be here, Mihangel was perfectly capable of dealing with this himself. Whatever this was. God, so much for fucking around and finding out. He knew Strangeways would tell him he should be more careful, that he was too reckless, but.... well, he sort of felt that if curiosity killed the cat, at least they had nine lives to spend. He'd already been through one.
A man stepped out noiselessly from behind a tree. He seemed almost immaterial, as if he was projected on a sheet like a student film screening. He was wearing filthy jeans and a shirt that was nowhere near warm enough for this kind of weather, and something was very, very wrong.
Mihangel was almost too scared to say anything. A ridiculous part of him thought wow wouldn't it be awkward if I'd just spent the last half hour hiding from a homeless guy, but he knew that it was more than that.
'We've missed you, Mihangel,' the man shaped thing said. 'You do know who we are, don't you?'
'I'm not going back there,' she said, forcefully loudly. 'Not until I've died for real, which, hopefully, won't be for a very long time.'
She tried to sound convincing but wasn't quite sure it came across.
'You will always return there in the end. All things do.' The man shaped thing smiled twistedly. 'We have not come to threaten you. Only to remind you.'
A beat. Mihangel stared. What was the point of the creepy following-across-the-feild-and-into-the-woods thing if it was just a reminder that I'll die just like everyone else?
The man shaped thing continued.
'We know you are curious. We could feel it, when you were one of us, that you wished to... properly understand what was happening to you. Not just the flailing panic all the other living feel. You wished to know the how and the why.'
'Well? And will I ever find out?' Mihangel blurted before she could stop herself. 'Why me?'
The man shaped thing grinned sickly once more as it started to dig it's way back into the ground.
'All in good time.'

Hiraeth
Hiraeth ; a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was; the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past
Chapter one — Philadelphia,PA
Tumblr media
Summary: After returning from the war, Babe Heffron feels lost and empty, struggling with nightmares and survivor's guilt. He decides to take a spontaneous train trip with Bill to get away from Philadelphia and figure things out
Word count : 2,078 (11k+ charaters)
Notes: multichaptered (1/??) ! On AO3 !! No disrespect towards the men of the real easy company, this is based off of the hbo portrayals and strictly for funsies : ) no ships are included for those who don't enjoy ships !
Chapter below cut ↓
The year was 1946, a few months since the war had ended, since all of Easy had finally returned home to their respective states and family, it was a miserable year for Heffron; just about the most miserable you could get. Babe had returned to Philadelphia, back to his ma's on Front Street, and kept in close contact with Bill since they'd lived so close to one another, but after the war nothing felt complete anymore. It felt as if his life was missing something yet there was nothing to fill that void that layed both in his head and heart.
Being a veteran of such a horrible war had its downsides, of course, the nightmares plagued him, the survivors' guilt , all the 'normal' stuff that no one had warned him about followed the now 22 year old and all of the other veterans no matter when they came into the war.
He'd told Bill about it, both in person and over the frequent phone calls they'd had,Bill had even showed he felt the same kind of void ina way but didn't know how to go about fixing it. bill simply choiced to ignore it.
"We should do something about it yknow?" Babe said one day, out of nowhere in the middle of the coffee shop him and Bill regulared for a weekly coffee 'date', His index finger tracing the rim of the glass boredly.
",bout what?" Bill raised a eyebrow, sipping from his coffee mug, a pastry in hand
"I don't know, that feeling ? -- maybe we should.." he trailed off to think about it, eating the last bite he'd had of his breakfast sandwich , the coffee shop was relatively quiet.not many other people there besides the two and since they were regulars they knew the most active times and usually avoided it "–we should just go somewhere, maybe thats what we're missing yknow? "
"Where to?" Was bill's only question, babe was slightly suprised to hear that he wasn't even questioning his sanity, especially since it was bill he was talking to,going out somewhere out of nowhere without any sort of planning in advance surely wasn't a good idea
"Dunno, out of Philly definitely, I just need to be out of here-- to think or sumn'thin " the ginger shrugged, he didn't have a plan at all he wasn't even sure how long he wanted to be away from home, he just wanted to figure things out, find himself again
"Fine, just anywhere but Manhattan, or even worst" Bill pretended to shiver "-- jersey" he laughed
"God no" heffron cracked a smile "meet me at the train station on 30th tomorrow morning, one down on broad street yeah? I'll figure out where we're going before you get there"
"Yknow babe," Bill started "you might as well be as nuts as crazy joe " he said as he put cash on the table, standing up
~~
"Com'on it really can't be that hard !" Babe tried to reason with the man behind the counter
"We uhm-- we need a destination sir" the young man said, staring at the train destinations behind the counter "we have one at 10:30 for new york" he offered, still giving babe a look that screamed 'are you a mad man?'
"God no- anything but new york-- jesus" he sighed frustratedly "get me two tickets for- the furthest away from here-- whatever is available that's not goddamn jersey or new york , okay?"
The man stayed quiet for a moment, his eyes looking away from babe at their ticket selection with a small sigh he spoke again "Thatll be 47 dollars sir" babe handed him the money and received the tickets after a small fumbling battle with his wallet "thanks bud" heffron smiled and walked to the side, sitting down on a bench , he placed his bag between his feet as he waited for Bill, he'd came slightly earlier just as he said just so he could have everything ready before hand
Maybe now would've been a good time to rethink everything, maybe come back a different time and trade in these tickets for a new ride, somewhere planned with Bill or maybe even with one of his siblings or his ma, he knew Bill wouldn't judge him for it.. but he felt like it was a good time as ever, why not now
Sure he hadn't planned anything not even where he was going but that was the beauty of it all, he'd be going to a place long away from the busy city of Philadelphia , somewhere new. It almost reminded him of the deployment, the excitement of not knowing where he was going but knowing he'd be dropped somewhere, defending everyone he loved oversees, it was almost the same excitement but this time it he wasn't carrying guns and grenades, this time he was In civilian clothes, with a bag full of necessities and of course more clothes, without a helmet to protect him from gunfire , being sent to a tiny foxhole where he was to freeze his balls off. Thank God he wasn't in bastogne. He could shiver at the thought of being there again
"Babe-? babe?" Bill snapped his fingers infront of his friend's eyes " Earth to heffronnnn" He heard a voice , realizing he'd been lost in thought for God knows how long , Bill smiled as his eyes focused on him "there ya are, where's your head at right now"
"Thanking God I'm not in bastogne" babe stood up taking bills bag, he figured it'd make it Easier for him, with the whole blown off leg and all, despite the prosthetic and the crutch, Bill always had a funny sort of limp, one that at least made it look like it was difficult to walk with especially with a bag
"Who knows, maybe yous got us tickets back there" Bill joked starting to head his way to the terminal "God I hope not" babe sighed, following behind Bill "Jesus christ whatdya got in this bag? The goddamn empire state buildin'?"
-
The pair had gotten to their train just in time, their tickets had been punched and the two had been directed to their seats, the train was pretty full, the people from all over it seemed not just from Philly, the two made their way to the 3rd train cart as instructed
it was a nice train, one of those trains with seats and a table infront of them and sleeping quarters similar to the one they had been in on their way to deployment though the two had some sort of understanding they would rather sleep in the seats then on some filthy beds that hadn't been clean in God knows how long
"were soliders, We could sleep anywhere for christ sake" Bill retored, as he walked up to their assigned seats, noticing not one but two men in the seats across from them "ill be damned" Bill laughed hushedly , making the man in the isle seat, closest to bill look up from what seem like a attempt at a nap and the other, closest to the window look up from his book , babe hadn't been too har behind and finally came to a stop next to Bill, "small world ain't it babe?"
Babe smiled and laughed " well ain't it david Webster and ol' joe leibgott!" Babe handed Bill one of the bags to free his hand, long enough to give the two handshakes
"Ain't this a suprise!" Leibgott laughed, babe took note of how the two didn't look any different from when he last saw them, he'd had the twos phone numbers ,he had just about eveyones but they never talked all that much, at least not as much as him and Bill did as well as the others who had came from Pennsylvania before the war , who knew calling out of state could be so expensive
"good to see you both" Webster said putting his book on the table
"whatdya both doing on here?" Bill leaned his crutch on the table to put his bag into the overhead storage ,babe doing the same although much faster then Bill was
"Ain't learn to read yet?" liebgott teased
"I got a job for a journal in newyork, " webster started "they want me to go write a few articles about Mardi gras and some of that stuff in New Orleans so they payed for me to go there"
"You don't say huh?" Heffron said as he slid into the seat towards the window, opposite of web he took bill's crutch with him to lay down on the floor so it wouldn't be flying everywhere once the train started to move.
Webster continued "And liebgott here, I ran into him in timeSquare, told me he'd been exploring the east coast and decided to join me"
"Exploring?"
"Yeah" liebgott shrugged crossing his arms "I felt kind of lost being back home in san fran, yknow? I just felt like I needed to be anywhere else but there"
Babe lit up "yeah! Yeah! Thats exactly how I felt " he looked over at bill "I told you I wasn't crazy he knows exactly what I was feeling"
Bill sat next to babe "Jeez now the both of you's are having mid life crisis , huh"
liebgott raised a eyebrow "you feel the same? God that's a relief, webster over here was makin' me feel crazy for it too"
Babe laughed "I've been feeling that for a long time, trust me its torture"
~
the two Philadelphians had settled in as the train had moved out of the city, the train attendants had came through with breakfast and drinks for everyone, the chatter continued between David and Edward as the train started it more than a day long trip down to a little town close to New Orleans so they had plenty of time for that "So Louisiana hm?" Babe Said
"Did you actually not know where you were going before you got on here?" David questioned, being careful to not move around to much as he talked, because of liebgott; who had slumped over on him in his sleep
"Nah, we got completely random tickets , just so happens we got lucky and ended up with you both, ya'know?"
Webster simply nodded, taking a sip of his drink "maybe it's because I wasn't a big fan of being in Europe but I never felt that, how you and Joe feel i mean"
"Trust me I wasn't either, especially in bastogne-- I don't think I'll ever go back to Europe at least by will"
"I guess when I came back I was lost for a little but not as much as you guys feel now, i think i felt that way more when i joined back with the company, way back in haguenau."
"Because you weren't there through all of it" he shrugged, "you were still 'round people --normal people through the hospitals and stuff, but we were kind of isolated during the battle of the bulge or whatever they callin' it, y'know? it was just us for the most part sure we'd see other divisions and stuff, but it's a while different mindset, you know that"
After a while more of talking, the topic changed from homesickness and being lost. They'd both started talking about what they'd been up to in the past few months, since they were finally brought back to the states.
"Say, doesn't doc live out here? Doc Roe, right?" Web asked, changing the subject for what felt like the 5th time in the hour.
"Actually, yeah he don't live too far out of New Orleans from what I remember. Bayou chou- or- sumn' like that , Chene? Yeah that sounds right. Bayou Chene'
"Maybe we should keep a eye out for him, or go visit or somthing " Web suggested, stretching out his legs under the table.
"Yeah, that'd be nice-- if we could find out where he is"
"Your both pretty close, right? How don't you know where he lives?" Web questioned.
"We've sent each other a few letters and postcards, sure, but ion know the guys address by memory, I'm nughta stalka' or something", babe shrugged.
He wondered if they'd be able to find him out there, it would be nice to see the company together again, even if it wasn't all of them. Maybe he just needed to see his family again, that had to be the piece to the missing spot in his brain.

As a writing prompt here's a neat idea: Imagine Soma having dreams about his previous life. More specifically of Isaac and Hector :)
Soma may have had rejected his fate, denied his nature as the reincarnation of Dracula, but that didn't mean his own soul didn't insist on reminding him of what he had turned his back to.
He had learned how to distinguish irrational dreams from real memories of his past lives, as confused and fragmented as they were. In his sleep, he felt all those emotions as acutely as he was reliving them again, and it turned out that Dracula felt everything with the intensity of a burning sun: love, hatred, grief, disgust, delight... A few times Soma would wake himself up by cackling, or shouting in rage in a voice that he could not recognize.
He dreamed of women, blonde women with kind eyes who made his dead heart soar, and made his eyes sting with tears he could not shed. He dreamed of horrible, fearsome men holding a whip - Julius' clan, and Soma could see something of him in their posture and stare, while Dracula was overcome by nothing but the thirst of death. He dreamed of a young blond boy in his father's lap, giggling with his little fangs shining, and it came naturally to Soma to love him as his son, despite not even knowing his name.
Soma would tell everything to Arikado whenever possible. The agent wanted to be kept updated on Soma's "condition", and Soma... well, he just wanted to vent to someone who wouldn't think he had lost his mind, or worry about him like Mina or Yoko, which didn't help his nerves one bit.
"Oh, you saw the Devil Forgemasters, Hector and Isaac," nodded Arikado one day, when Soma told him that two boys not much older than him had visited him in his dreams.
Soma raised an eyebrow. "Wow, for once you didn't play coy. Did you know them?"
"I did. They were Dracula's students of dark arts, and I crossed paths with them in the castle. What did you see in your dreams?"
Soma struggled to put the memories together. "Uhm, we were in a... laboratory of some sort? Full of potions and machinery and stuff. And I... Dracula was assisting them, I guess. The one with silver hair conjured a whole devil from a basin of pink water! I remember I felt pride at the sight."
The vision creeped Soma out, to be honest. He assumed that demons would simply... appear out of nowhere. He would have never imagined that they could be created from simple matter. And that was Dracula's magic? (He refused to think "his".) Creating life, on top of absorbing souls? Just how powerful was a Dark Lord?!
"Hector was Dracula's star pupil." And this time, Soma could have sword he had seen a corner of Arikado's lips twitching. "But both of them were formidable alchemists. They were born to dwell in the darkness and grow powerful from it. It's no wonder Dracula invested time and effort in training them."
If Arikado's words didn't bother Soma, he would have paid more attention to the twinge of jealousy creeping in his flat tone.
"But... they were human, weren't they?"
"They wouldn't be able to give you one answer."
"What do you mean?"
"Isaac prided himself on being inhuman. Being born cursed, mankind had shunned him, and so he sought solace in the realm of the devil. He was honored that Dracula had infused him with his magic, and believed that it made him something other and beyond mere humanity."
While Arikado explained, Soma could picture more and more clearly the redhaired man clad in black, the sneer he reserved at his companion, and the pure adoration that Dracula could nearly smell on him. So, Isaac saw himself as not human, because he was born with dark magic, and for him it was a source of joy. Soma stared at his own hands, suddenly very uncomfortable with the direction of the conversation.
"And the other one? Hector, you said?" he asked, not able to mask the nervousness in his voice.
"Hector fled the castle, eventually." At that, Soma raised his head. Arikado was adjusting the handkerchief in his breast pocket, averting his gaze. "He, too, had been chased away from the land of man, and his potential for dark magic was even greater than Isaac's... but he chose to reject it and stay true to his humanity. And I eventually learned, from the Belmont records, that he slew Dracula himself when Julius' ancestor could not."
"I think I dreamed that one too. I had no idea holy magic cast by a cute mage burned so badly!" Soma laughed, chasing away the memory of the indignation Dracula felt that day. Right, they were nothing but memories. "I think I get what you mean. Thanks."

Hey, I got a carefree movie review for ya! :D
Tumblr media
What kind of review? Oh, well, just from someone who loves fun entertainment, gud characters, and plots! Not really a strict critic but just someone who loves any gud movies that are able to energize my inner child
So if you're also into that, feel free to read my future posts! Or even recommend some movies to me
Anyway, this is my first posted review but I always looked forward to doing this ever since, and it has increased after watching Under The Boardwalk that has recently came out but is unfortunately not given much chances of being seen
BUT ANYWAY, I just watched a new movie, and it's Sahara!!!
It's not really new tho, at least I think so, I actually have seen this before on MovieHD buuut it's in a different language, so I couldn't fully watch it
But today, on Netflix, I'm now able to! And, uhm... I give it a 6/10
The animation is great, especially with how fluid the snakes move (especially especially when they dance! DANCE! They have DANCING SNAKES, people! Fun!), alrighty characters and their design, it's quite funny, and fun in it's own way(?), has quite a gud atmosphere too I guess
But, I didn't really understand the story lol especially the love department
The set up felt sorta Romeo and Juliet, which I like, I mean, Under The Boardwalk has that plotline and I heavily enjoyed it >W< but this one didn't really had... Uhh, proximity with our love interests?
It was gud at first, how the introduction was set up with our characters and their world, especially the part when Ajar and Eva disguised as each other's species which for some reason itched my brain right when they first met... But that was kinda it
They then sorta left their homes and then it went from Romeo and Juliet to Finding Nemo? Because Eva got captured and then Ajar is determined to rescue her, like bruh, you don't even know her???
I was honestly routing Ajar and Gary (Eva's brother) more, and Eva and the uhh white snake lady instead, to be honest with you XD
Because Ajar and Gary had the adventure that I thought was gonna happen between Ajar and Eva (oh and there was also Pitt, Ajar's scorpion friend that sorta... tagged along... same as Gary but he was basically kidnapped lol)
Ajar and Gary had to spend time together, same as for Eva and White Snake (sort of), and yet the main two snakes – that barely talked to each other for more than two minutes in the beginning and then meet again at the end being all swooned that one of 'em sacrificed their body and energy for someone they barely know – are the LOVE INTERESTS?!
But hey at least the ending's sorta funny
I also didn't mention the antagonist yet •>• it's just a human guy that hypnotizes snakes with a flute like blingin' Pide The Piper, he's the one that makes the snakes dance or dance fight, fun! :D
He's sorta creepily intimidating, but in the end his creepiness leveled up but in a weird way ;-; I mean, bruh, he was consistently managing to chase down Ajar to get his flute back DURING A BLINGIN' SAND STORM?! All while jumping on buildings and stuff yet managed to just pop up in front of Ajar out of nowhere?! HOW DOES THAT NOT TERRIFY AND/OR CONFUSE YOU?!
Overall tho, I was entertained, but didn't feel entirely fulfilled - so I watched Back To The Outback to make me feel better (I already seen it, but in case you're wondering, I give that movie an 8/10)
But if you want a Movie where you don't have to care too much about the characters and environment, and just watch amazingly animated snakes dance or go on an adventure, then Sahara is for you! :D

"Hey uh what's ur gender?"
I remember when I had one of those. That is, before I mysteriously lost it. It was a chilly winters day, I remember it like no other. I had been visiting a friend for a game night of sorts, and at some point in the night we had gotten distracted from our game and ventured into the land of YouTube. This is when I believe my gender was lost, perhaps even stolen. We had sat down to watch a stream vod from funny man number 98 when he randomly decided to say "if I chop you up in a meat grinder-"
All I remember past that point was waking up in a ditch 500 miles from my hometown, about a month or two later, and dressed in what can only be described as "thrift store attire". My stomach hurt and I had no way to contact anyone as my phone was nowhere to be found. In fact the only thing I had on me was 20 British pounds. I have no idea to this day how I came into possession of this money as I was smack dab in the middle of fucking Florida. Anyway. I took a two and a half week long trek to the nearest buckeys in which I lived for the next month and a quarter, living off of whatever food was left unattended for longer than ten minutes. At some point I must've realized that I still had bills to pay back at home and hauled my ass back to town. Virtually nobody had noticed I was gone. Except my boss ofc they fired my ass the second I was late and left a message on my phone telling me so. I eventually went to visit my friend at their home to see if they were doing alright after whatever it was that happened that game night and found that the entire apartment complex had been simplified into just one room. In the room there was only a gaping pit in the earth, seemingly neverending. Weird huh? Uhm anyway my friend was ok and I think my gender is down there. So ig I don't have one until the gender store restocks or I get that one back yk? It's a tough world out there.

When he misses your birthday>>>

a/n : this was just a random drabble and for the love of God do I tell you I had trouble deciding who would this be for to the point I had to change the names twice 😭😞 but anyway, I'm sorry for being inactive so PLEASE HAVE THIS AS I STILL STRUGGLE WITH THE SUNGHOON I'M TRYING TO WRITE. It will be a full fic so I'm really working on it 🥲
Tags : Sunghoon x reader, angst, cursing
You knew Sunghoon was a busy person, he likes keeping himself occupied at all times and being productive. That's what you loved about your boyfriend. You just never knew it was to such an extent where asking 1 day from him was so difficult to achieve. Especially because it your birthday. You were exactly the type of person to celebrate your own birthday, but ever since bring with him you loved to spend each and every day with him special or not.
"Sunghoon. Love, do you have anything going on at work on Friday next week?" You ask timidly.
"No, not really. Why?" He responds without looking up from his laptop to return your gaze.
"Nothing. I just wanted to spend that day with you and it's been a while since we've gone on a date, right? Why don't we go on a date?" You respond as you're grinning from ear-to-ear at the thought being able to spend your birthday with your boyfriend as he's been too busy to spend some time with you. You understood how demanding his job seemed to be because you also have really late and long shifts at the hospital you work at as an intern.
"That's fine but why is there a specific day?" He piqued, finding it suspicious how your date had to be on Friday and couldn't be any other day.
"Well, that's the day I asked for a day off for." You lied. Well, you didn't technically lie. You did ask for a day off because it was birthday.
"All right, fine." He sighed and shifted his attention back to his work as he continues typing on his computer. While you went to sleep with a grin.
Friday came and you're met with all sorts of disappointments. You've had everything ready from movie tickets you bought, the tickets to the amusement park you bought, the photoshoot you had booked at a photobooth, up to the dinner at your favorite restaurant you had booked a reservation for.
You woke up with your boyfriend's side of the bed empty and cold. You thought he had just gotten up early and went downstairs, so you got up and took a shower immediately. When you got downstairs, your boyfriend was nowhere to be seen. You opened your phone and there were no messages from him telling you about where he went so you decided to ask for yourself.
You : Good morning, love! Woke up without you here. Where are you right now?
Sunghoon♡ : Something urgent happened at work. I'll be back as soon as we settle this.
You : oh... Alright! I'll wait for you:)
There was no more messages after the one he sent as he had left you on read. You decided to get dressed be ready to go out as you wait for him to arrive. Though, it was way longer than you thought it would last. The time allotted for the movies you had bought tickets to had passed. You sighed and grabbed your car keys to drive yourself to your next planned place for your date with you boyfriend.
"Absolute bullshit." You muttered under your breath, the photobooth you booked had to cancel and refund your money as their machine had broken down and would take about 2 days to finish. You sighed for the nth time this day, calming yourself as you went back inside your car and decided to call the restaurant for you adjust the time a bit earlier than booked.
"Hello, you have reached our restaurant's staff. This is Haruna, what may I do for you?" The lady at the other line chirped after answering the call.
"Hello, uhm, I'm calling to adjust the time of my reservation about an hour earlier. Is that possible?" You spoke in a calm manner, even though you were almost about to break down inside your car while still being at the parking lot.
"Well we do have a fully booked day but may I know the name and time of the reservation, please?" The lady responded.
"It's L/N Y/N for 6 p.m." You nervously answered, not wanting your day to be even worse than it already is.
"Alright, I'll see what I can do." The receptionist's stated with a cheery tone.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. Your name doesn't seem to be on the list for today's reservees." Her vocied dropped seeming to match your disappointed face as soon as you heard her words.
"What do you mean? I booked the reservation three days ago. How come my name isn't there?" You said with a slightly raised tone as you pulled at a few strands of your hair.
"I'm sorry, we're not sure what happened. Maybe the person who had typed your reservation forgot to save it. We're really sorry." The lady responded once again with a more apologetic tone this time.
You sighed again and bid your goodbye to the lady. You rest your head on the wheel of your car and let yourself calm down. The day wasn't over just yet. You lift your head and opened your phone once again, searching for different restaurants to eat at. You found one that you remember you've gone to once and liked but was quite the drive from your house. You called and booked a reservation and, fortunately, they weren't fully booked. You were content with the idea and decided to go back home to change into different clothes.
The moment you had applied finishing touches to your features, the sun was already starting to set.
You grabbed your keys and rushed out of your shared apartment to drive off to the restaurant. It was about a maximum of a 7 minute drive to arrive at the said establishment, but their food was worth it. Even though you the restaurant you had first booked at was your first favorite, this place could also be your favorite with it's very elegant yet home-like texture of it's interior.
You approached the reception area and the staff immediately guided you to your table. You thanked them and sat down as they walked away. A waitress later approaches your table.
"Good evening, ma'am. Will anyone be joining you today?" She asked as she placed down a glass of water in front of you.
"Oh, thank you, and yes. My boyfriend will be here soon." You responded with a smile.
The waitress nodded and left. You sent your boyfriend a quick message to let him know you had a change of plan for dinner at a different restaurant. The waitress later came back with two menus and told you to call her once you're ready to order. You thanked her once again and continued to wait for your boyfriend.
Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hour. Your beloved was still nowhere to be seen. You had sent him multiple messages asking him where he was and called him multiple times, yet there was no answer. He hasn't even read your messages. The waitress kept coming back asking you if you were ready to order and you can't even count how many times you've said, "Oh, I'll just wait for a bit more. My boyfriend hasn't arrived." to the point you feel like they're starting to think your delusional and waiting for someone who doesn't exist. The most patient part of you decided to wait more, you trusted your boyfriend. He wouldn't forget to spend this day with you. You've been planning it all week, after all. But, alas, another hour went by without a single sound from your boyfriend. You had decided to at least order salad to-go for the sake of the kind waitress who had been going back and forth from your table to her station. She seemed relieved to know you're finally ordering something.
As they were preparing your food, you were cleaning up your stuff to leave after they have your order ready before you heard your phone ring. You knew immediately who it was as you pressed to answer the call.
"Hello?" You said with a bitter tone absolutely wanting to go batshit on your lovely boyfriend for having stood you up on your birthday.
"Hey, I saw the missed calls. Where are you? Did you go out?" You couldn't help but feel conflicted. Your boyfriend's boice sounded so tired, but you also couldn't push the thoughts of how much of an asshole he was for not remembering your date.
"I'm at ______, you?" You heaved a sigh before responding as the waiter called for you to pay and receive your order. You stood up, your bag strap on your shoulder as you fished for your wallet.
"Why are you there? Did you have dinner with some friends or something? If so, why didn't you tell me..." He responded, tone laced with disappointment. He listened to you speak to a staff of the establishment before he hears a chime, telling him you've gotten out of the restaurant. You walked back to your car and put the bag with food on the passenger seat before facing your phone once again realizing he hasn't ended the call yet.
"Hello? Y/N?" He called for you trying to catch your attention.
"What time did you get off of work?" You queued, which surprised him.
"I've been home for about an hour and a half. So, more than an hour ago." He responded clearly confused as to you why you're acting so strange. "Why do you ask?"
"I'll be home in a bit. I have to drive so I'm gonna end the call." You responded with the same bitter tone. Feeling absolutely exhausted and frustrated after the seemingly long day.
"Alright, drive safe." He said in agreement before you pressed your phone to hang up. You rub your hand against your face before leaning your head onto the wheel once and sighing once again. You didn't want to be mad, you couldn't be mad. It was no one's fault that an emergency came up at his workplace, but you just can't help but be upset that he forgot the day you had planned to spend with together.
When you felt your emotions were back on calm enough state for you to drive, you lift your head and inserted your keys into the keyhole before starting the car. Your drive was quite melancholic, helping you to at least not break down in the middle of the road while you're driving. Once you've arrived and parked your car at your apartment building's parking lot, you grab your bag and and the salad you had bought and entered the building.
Once he heard the doorknob twist, Sunghoon's attention was already at the doorway expecting your figure to walk in. Which you did, after taking off your heels.
"Hey, you're home. Why are you so dressed up? Did you meet with someone?" He asked in suspicion as he was not aware who you've met outside with nor that you even went out without his knowledge.
"Wow, Sunghoon. We missed the chance to watch the movie, you stood me up on our dinner date, made me wait for two hours when you've been home for an hour and half because you seemed to have forgotten about our date, didn't bother to call the moment you got home, but you have the audacity to ask me why I'm "all dressed up"?" You scoffed and couldn't help but run a hand through hair as you feel tears pricking your eyes. He looked at you with confusion, What do you mean movie? Date? Oh, shit...
The realization dawned on him immediately but you continued. "Because, well, I don't know. Why don't you ask my boyfriend who I've called almost a dozen times and sent about 20-30 text messages to telling him that I've been waiting for him at the restaurant for 2 hours?" You responded. The snark remark remark wasn't something he expected, but he was more surprised at the realization of what today was. He has forgotten about your date.
He immediately fished his phone out of his pocket and checked his messages, you did send multiple messages.
"Shit... I'm sorry, Y/N. We were discussing a lot of important things and I had my phone on silent. I forgot to open it the moment I got home." He said running his hands through his hair, seemingly apologetic.
"Clearly more important than me, right?" You said followed aby a scoff as you walked away and placed the bag of food on the counter before heading upstairs.
"Y/N, it really was important. You know how busy I've been these days." He said seeking your attention as he followed you up the stairs.
"It's absolutely fine, Sunghoon. It's good that you have your priorities set up. At least now I know where I stand in your life." Your voice laced with sarcasm and passive aggressiveness as you continue to ignore his presence and walk into your bedroom.
"Y/N, for the love of God. Drop the fucking attitude. How can you be so petty over one day we couldn't spend together as if you're not always clinging to me when we're together?!" He snapped and raised his voice, not wanting to deal with your passive aggressive attitude even more.
"So now I'm clingy? One day, Sunghoon. One. Fucking. Day. That's all I asked and you couldn't even give me that." You responded with the same aggression as you turned around and faced him, tears welling up in your eyes from all the pent-up frustration you've kept all day.
"There's more days to come. God, Y/N! We could always go out tomorrow or the day after. Why do you have to be so immature about it today?!" He yelled, confused as to why you seem more upset about how he forgot about your date today than all the other one's you were supposed to go on but got cancelled.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe it's because it's my fucking birthday?! Why don't you try that as food for thought." You snapped as tears had rolled down your face. You walk away and enter a different room your apartment had for guests, leaving him dumbfounded.
He messed up...

uhm, hello hello! i'm very awkward + nervous so please forgive if i make any mistakes or sound weird. i'm psychotic, (and i also have a special interest of psychology but that doesn't entirely matter), and i have a couple of questions.
i know that disorganized thoughts are symptoms, but to your knowledge is it common for psychotic people to have sort of like episodes where they just get.. really confused? i call it 'perma-confused' as a title because i don't know what else to call it. for me, it's hard to understand what anyone's saying to me, even if it's not big words or anything, and it takes me longer to form coherent sentences and thoughts. it's also relatively hard to carry out specific tasks i'm instructed to do when i'm like that, sometimes i just.. stop functioning and i go blank for a bit, it's really easy for me to experience disorganized speech+thoughts, and these episodes tend to last for an hour or two or more (i've had some last for a day or two).
second question: do you know anything about or have any advice for delusions that were really big and prominent but sort of.. faded to the background instead of going away? (cw for talk of a delusion here) i had a delusion a couple years ago where when i interacted with any media with zombies in it (of which, zombies and zombie viruses are an interest i've had since i was a kid, so it sucks, and completely came out of nowhere) i'd be filled with this overwhelming fear that a zombie apocalypse Would happen. i'd tend to get in a loop of refreshing my google feed for five minutes or more checking to see if any news about an outbreak showed up. it caused nightmares and horrendous panic attacks. after a Very long while-it took months-it sort of faded into.. background noise. as in it's still there, but it takes prompting to actually affect me and occasionally can be triggered easier when i'm more paranoid but otherwise is just something i have to be careful about.
Hey there! Thank you for the question!
Ok so the first question, about whether it's common to have episodes of confusion, I would say yeah, definitely! I certainly struggle with that, and I know that many others do. It's often part of the internal experience of disorganisation or a good old fashioned shutdown. For me, it often happens when I'm tired or pressured. My thoughts will get stuttery and my speech breaks down. Carrying out motion let alone simple tasks becomes increasingly difficult. I think the flavour can be different for different people and for the same people at different times. Sometimes it feels like a type of dissociation, other times it is more of a catatonia related thing (though being that catatonia is described at the behavioural level it can also come with several different internal experiences).. anyways my point being that states of confusion and difficulty parsing and producing language and thinking clearly, is very much a thing that can come with psychosis and psychotic disorders.
As for delusions that fade into the background without going away completely, that's a rather common pattern. For some people it's very much that they either are or are not delusional. But for lots of folks, delusions fade in and out of prominence. And it's not uncommon to have lowkey residual beliefs that still take up some space, but aren't a huge focus the way they were when they were a very active delusion. As for advice, I don't know what I can give, beyond to say that it's good to try not to dwell on it. It's allowed to be there, it's hard to purge it entirely, but since it's causing less active distress by itself, try not to be too distressed about its mere continued faded existence, either.
I have had delusions fading for years and some of them have all but disappeared. So it's not to say that it can never go away. But shooing them off never really worked for me. A lot of the time they seemed to stick around because they represented some feeling or stressor in my life or psyche, and they didn't go away until those circumstances changed.
Anyways, hope any of this was helpful. Have a good day!

Hi! This may be weird, and if so, please just ignore this message. I was scrolling through the For You tab when I came across a post of yours where you were wondering about reading your fics aloud like an audiobook, but being worried about not being able to do the voices or get through the, uhm... spicy bits haha
I was just wondering, how would you feel about other people doing that? I'm looking into doing more voice practice (trying to kickstart a voice acring thing, sort of), I'm Dutch with an English language degree and can do a British accent, and I have... very little shame ^^;. Also, a very big Gale fan, if that helps.
Like I said, this is kind of out of nowhere, and if you're weirded out by it, please accept my apologies and feel free to ignore this message, but I had to ask!
not weird at all. thank you for asking! I'll be honest though and say I'm not sure. It's not even something I am sure I'll consider diving into anytime soon as i want to maintain my focus on finishing the series first. Plus...and maybe this is weird...but I am very protective of Sagora. She's my main OC after all, and as much as i hate to admit it, I think I would be a massive control freak over how she's portrayed/voiced. In a way, she's as much a part of myself as she is a separate entity if that makes sense. I just have a very big emotional attachment to her, and I think I would honestly be a freak about it lol
But truly. thank you for asking. I'm honored. I wish you the very best luck with your career. Don't stop trying. Don't give up on that dream.
