i strongly believe that gon picked up on just how much his genuine compliments & words of affection/praise seem to fluster killua, and that’s partly why he continued to do it lol. 😭 he finds his reactions incredibly entertaining & endearing.

i don’t think he exactly understands WHY it embarrasses killua sm, bc gon means every single word (which is exactly why it embarrasses him, but i honestly think if killua told him that, it would just make gon go “???” lmao).

plus, the way gon looked over at killua after saying the first thing he would do after finding ging is introduce him to his best friend, as if to gauge his reaction? oh, yeah. he DEFINITELY knows what he’s doing, at least as far as i’m concerned lmao.
