I had my last singing lesson today and I honestly feel a bit sad that it’s over. Like, sure, I absolutely don’t want to continue and have never been happy over having a lesson scheduled, not even once, but I’ve been at it twice a week for four months, I got used to it, it’ll feel strange to not have to go again. The relief will probably come flooding in on Thursday when, due to a free period, I can go home an hour early and then not have lessons after, and that will hopefully overpower the melancholy

#also I tense like all my muscles while singing so now my back hurts 🥲#the thing is since I struggle with insomnia I usually need an afternoon nap #but by the time I get home from singing it’s already 4pm and if I nap then it’ll make it even harder to sleep at night #Wednesday is the only day when I get home no later than 2:30 so I can sleep #now Monday and Thursday are added to the list #thank fucking god #I’d love to add in Tuesday and Friday too but extra history is gonna be a staple until I pass the exam #so.. you win some you lose some. at least I now have more free afternoons where I’m not exhausted #so overall. good #I’m happy I finished the course #next Monday I have to drop in to get my completion certificate but after that I never have to step foot in that building again #okay technically.. I do because it’s the same building my dad’s SIL lives in #but you get my point

I think this is THE most underrated scene in the whole series.#You have one guy flashing WWX his prosthetic leg. Another complains about his dead parents.#And the third guy? He has no personal grievances at all. He's just here to be included.#You cannot get better comedic timing than that. Sect leader Yao you will always be famous to me.#There is also something to be said about how this scene is about shifting blame and holding a false trial.#And we also have the main theme about rumours vs truth in how Sect leader Yao is only here based on what he's been told to beleive.#And WWX is so exhausted by the blame! He was one breath away from saying 'form a queue and I'll take your complaints one by one'#WWX (overall) didn't do those things directly but he's the one the responsibility falls on.#Despite the fact that the first siege was *not* incited by him. It's like hitting someone and getting mad your fist got hurt.#What a brilliantly frustrating scene!#Anyways next up are the long awaited pheonix mountain flashabck scenes. I recently had to do a project in one of my psych classes, and man, I knew that CBT was used for every little thing, but seeing over and over, "do CBT! CBT is the best for every mental illness!" was so jarring. I'm absolutely biased because of my own experiences, but I just don't think it's as universal a treatment model as it's touted.

If you didn't benefit from CBT, it's not because you're lazy or didn't try hard enough or lacked intelligence or foresight into your own needs. Frankly, it's a therapy model that (I think) shouldn't be the only readily-accessible model and among the only therapy models covered by insurance. Some of us should not be treated in a CBT model and that's okay. It's not a sign of poor character or unreasonable demands, and if you don't think it's a model that works for you, then it's your right to express that!
