#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wen chao #wang lingjiao #mianmian #wei wuxian #jiang cheng #I had to cut the comic with JC 'holding WWX back from fighting the Wen Assholes' but it is with me in spirit.#It reads (to me) a little bit like JC is scared of Core Melting Hand and wants to have an excuse to hold on to WWX for comfort.#As far as I can recall they are around 15-17 in this arc.#And a guy who can rip out your golden core? The thing we know JC truly puts so much weight upon that he feels meaningless without it?#Yeah that's pretty terrifying. I hope WWX hugs back (he will not)#I have a lot more thoughts on Wang Lingjiao and Mianmian but I will keep them for later.#WLJ is a character I feel got done a little dirty because she has a ton of interesting potential that gets pushed aside for Mean Villainess #Let's be fully honest. Wen Chao and Wang Lingjiao are *THE* characters the Protag of one of those 'Reincarnated as the villain!' stories #Set up to be assholes to the main character and meeting a horrible end in retribution.#Do you think MXTX thought about that? How Wen Chao is basically the original Shen QiugQiu?#Who's going to be the brave soul who writes A transmigrator in wen chao's body (accidently makes wwx fall in love with him) story?#Though If we are going with “any mxtx character sho dies transmigrates to another book” WHO is the transmigrator?#Hear me out. I think it should be Original Liu Qingge. I think he and wwx would make a funny duo and I want to see it so bad.#AND the contrast of womanizer Wen Chao VS 'What is a woman' LQG.

Hey! I do my best to update as often as I can, and thank you so much for reading it! I appreciate the heck outta all the reblogs and comments and all that!

Updates might have to slow down a bit though, I do all the writing, drawing, coloring- the whole process is me! And doing as much as I've done for the last month has been a bit insane so I'm trying to have a better comic/life balance. That, and work balance. Comics are my passion but they unfortunately do not pay my mortgage!

Don't you worry though! It'll update soon, I'm working on coloring page 4 of the chapter, but YEAH I definitely have to slow down from my insane pace a bit.

If I see someone misenterpret Batman being a billionaire that punches the mentally ill and poor one more time, I'm going to lose it.

Batman is above all else empathetic, even towards his enemies. He throws his money around like its nothing, and when it is used for something, he uses it to fund charities or useful for the public. He's as if a leftist were a billionaire. He's actually helping people as Bruce Wayne and Batman.

The mentally ill and poor people he does have to punch in the face are usually being forced to work for villains who are forcing those people to work for them. Those people are then equipped with weapons and are given orders to attack anyone who tries to harm them. They're being exploited out if their own weaknesses and desperation.

Not to mention Batman hires those people to get them out of the situation they're in. He doesn't want to keep seeing them end up working for people like Two-Face, Black Mask, or god forbid the Joker. And Wayne Industries has lots of jobs ready for anyone.

The richest person in DC Comics who people should really be crapping on is the one who hates aliens, claims to do things for the better of humanity when he isn't, and makes things worse for everyone else like destroying the cure for cancer HE MADE. That person is of course: Lex Luthor.

Apologies for this being posted so late. IDSYBFD sneaked up on me this year like an elf on a rescue mission and I didn't remember about it until I saw all you wonderful people reblogging my previous years' posts. And then my tablet's stylus battery gave out five minutes into drawing, and right after I finished charging the stylus the tablet quit as well. We're lucky that I even managed to finish it before midnight in my current time zone.

#ramblings of a lunatic #dc comics #damian wayne #dick grayson #ITS JUST NOT THE SAME MAN #idk i was reading nightwing must die (again...) bc i was in a funk and saw another post saying how fans exaggerate the closeness btwn them #and on the one hand i get it. there is a very rosy portrayal of their relationship you'll come across in fanon #and they weren't very close at the beginning of their relationship #but man. reading Nightwing must die again was like #YES they fight. damian instigates it and while dick tries to exercise patience he does fight back/lash out on occasion #but despite all that it's still emphasized how important the two are to each other #when dick is forced to picture a future where he's lost his way he pictures damian being the one to bring him back #not necessarily bc damian is his favorite person on the planet but bc he gave damian robin. for a lot of practical reasons-#-but also bc how far damians come is (i think at least based on this arc) a testament to dick that hes doing Something right #both as a hero/person #damian is more than just a burden saddled on him (although there's an element of that in their batman and robin run)#he's also a last remaining connection to bruce when he's gone (remembering where he comes from) AND he's training damian+#-his own way! with a dash of tough love and workaholic spirit inherited but also a lot of patience and focus on being More than the darkness #idc what ppl say nightwing must die makes sense for these two. its a retcon but one that works imo #that dick buried his head in the sand about how much damian meant/the responsibility he had to him bc it was a commitment he was afraid of #and how damian ultimately was a point of maturation for dick even if he went back to being Nightwing #they were SO goddamn close and now they're still close but only in ways that are implied #and their bond is deemphasized in comparison to each others bond w/ say bruce. which i think is a shame #it was a wrinkle! a fun wrinkle that the batfamily had that in some ways dick understood damian better than Bruce-#-even if he didn't feel like he could handle the responsibility of raising him full time #it kills me that bc of the n52 we never got the handover of the batman mantle (and damian) from dick to bruce #next nightwing writer...include a flashback to that moment AND have damian appear in the book in present....AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!#anyway. dick is damians brother but also damian a little bit imprinted on him like a baby duck and its rubbed off on dick #they're partners they're mentor mentee but most importantly they were batman and robin. and they were the greatest #NOT bc it was all peaches and roses but bc they cared for each other exponentially despite all that
