Long. spent on the colours in my pc. only for them to look atrocious on the phone. where most people will see it. :)))))#i tweaked them a lot on the ipad (and pc. simultaneously. it was a pain.) and now they look mid on both which is the best i can do. ugh.#also i actually think the alt version looks better but the first one fits kory more yk. the second one could easily be kom#design-wise i'm way happier with her face now but i'll probably tweak the nose a bit next time#the hairstyle is not how i see it looking day-to-day but i like the roots showing. def much better than the last kory i posted#and i like that she looks taller this time around but i think in trying to achieve that i made her too skinny. ugh.#you win some you lose some#anyway! i'm reblogging this to my sideblog and adding a 16+ version so watch out for that!

#I thought this movie was really cute and charming in a lot of ways#also I love Bruce Campbell's look in this one so much I had to draw him#I wanted to make him really warm to contrast her vampiric appearance which is more or less what they do in the movie#although he's pretty gray#I also like the costume designer's attention to detail like everyone is dressed more or less like they would be at the time they died#and a vampire western is just one of those ideas you pull from a hat that sound insane and are#but anyway charming film! I watched it twice this year! Then what! It's full on youtube so it's easier#I feel like she looked more like the actress in the sketch ALSO her actress played Muffy in April Fools Day????!#I fucking love that movie so much and Muffy is my girl she's like such an insane genius I love her to death#that movie is like a very long Are You Afraid of the Dark episode and this movie is a fairy tale with vampires. just saw the new httyd live action trailer... it's motivating me to draw httyd stuff for the first time in like. a decade
#I feel particularly meh abt the movie since based off of the trailer they're not adding anything to make it different from the og storywise#its coming out on my birthday which is kinda funny#i remember the second httyd also came out on my birthday we went to the theater to go see it holy shit the time flies huh#anyway#i did enjoy some of the cgi dragon designs#i liked the monstrous nightmare well enough just bc he looked like a mean toothy bastard#and I thought the take on the terrible terror having chameleon type eyes was pretty interesting!!#but its missing the charm of the more stylized og designs#I might draw my monstrous nightmare from back when I used to play school of dragons#her name was bacon and I loved her so much#monstrous nightmares are one of my favorite of the dragon types along with the whispering + screaming deaths#and the deathsong!!!#man I should rewatch race to the edge at somepoint#lynx talks

In other news ive finally started playing baldurs gate 3 and despite being a glorified hater about it when it got mega-hyped i am enjoying myself a lot actually. They weren’t kidding about the level of detail in this game we love to see media living up to the hype.
#I still find all of the character designs very underwhelming but thats ok. I can fix them (her (karlach))#the pacing feels a little funny by virtue of being an open world game where you Are going to meet these side characters ok.#like every long rest so far ive been shocked that my party members are acting as close with me as they are#but its still fun! The interactions are really charming to be honest.#i was like. Number 1 astarion denier but unfortunately he is quite silly with it. If a bit much.#Idk i just think its fun and also really fun to dissect the bits and pieces that dont work out.#and i love me some dissection so i consider this a bonus.#anyways.#text posts :0]

#dc comics#superman#batman#wonder woman#justice league#redesign#my art#i've got a rough timeline for my version of the dc universe (i call it earth 101 for funsies)#which starts at superman's first appearance in 1997 and goes until a couple years in the future (2027-2030 ish i haven't decided yet)#its mostly just to justify designing a bunch of characters lmao-#ANYWAY#i've posted clark before but his suit is very much inspired by the fleischer cartoons + the classic suit with some homemade charm to it#goal was to make him look approachable and friendly - so guy in a sweater and undies works well for that#he's charming and goofy and a complete klutz#it literally takes him six years of dating lois to propose to her#(and even then its only AFTER starro invades and he properly realises he could lose her at any moment if he isn't careful)#bruce's suit is based on battinson's suit + the original suit from the 30s#i imagine he would use a gun at first but stop using it once he realises how fucked up that is of him -#after gunning down the red hood - oops!#he also wouldn't be alone for long - he adopts dick very shortly after dropping guns#so he can start projecting a friendly billionaire (look! he took in this little orphan boy how he cold he beat up criminals every night#when he's got a kid to look after huh?)#but ya - he's a freak and his posture's terrible from being hunched at the batcomputer for hours on end (he's workin on it)#diana was the easiest i think - i just wanted to basically redo her silver age design and do my own spin on a few of the details#nothing too fancy for the moment i imagine she gets a lil more ornate in future#but for now its simple bodice and boot-sandals#also HAD to make her taller than the guys i HAD to#so clark's like 6'2 and bruce is the same when he isn't slouching - but diana edging on 7 foot#she's BEEG#she's literally a living statue basically so y'know

I for one am shocked#My bowties tend to be quite poofy huh always very rounded - Charm's collar tapers kinda almond shaped#I'm still not entirely sure how the double-tapered look works.... It's scalloped >.> That's what I always say lol#Really she probably would and should have the Mandarin collar - possibly more scalloping >:3c - I just go outside the margins a lot haha#I've drawn her once or twice with the butterfly collar tho! Where her collar dips down into her spiderweb pattern at the top of her shirt!#It's a really cute shape ahhh it works best with my lineless stuff but even here I think it turned out nice! :D Cute! To be clear when I started playing Bayonetta 2 for the first time I was majorly put off in the first cutscene because the face model on Cereza looked like just a completely different woman to me. It is that serious to me forever
#like they took away her strong sharp angular look and gave her face such a “feminine” roundness. setting feminism back 500 years#which obviously she's a character already designed into ridiculous beauty standards but this change removes so much charm
