WISHLIST. What I would give to write out an arc where Sam realizes she just. Doesn't entirely like who she became after the horrible things that happened to her—-maybe after she gets some sort of vengeance against the ones who hurt her. Maybe after a long, hard day outside, and she winds up actually reflecting on herself when she looks at her reflection when she's alone. Regretting how cold she's turned, how far gone she's become in contrast to the happy, carefree little girl she used to be.

I want someone to challenge the thought that this is someone she needs to be for the rest of her life.

- i kinda like that she ended up looking like a mother-of-pearl inlay lacquerware!

- oh this was a subconscious choice, but Gale is sitting in seiza which is a posture for showing respect especially to elders. it's also known to be a painful position to sit in for extended periods of time, which is why it was sometimes used as a method of (morally dubious) punishment. however, experienced people can maintain this posture for much longer. food for thought :-)

- (edit: deleted this point bcs it didn't really make sense + detracted from the art a little;;)

fionna and cake drawings before and after watching the episodes so far. it’s nostalgic and somehow cathartic and poignant and relatable and—it just started

#i’m part of the demographic where i was a kid when adventure time started and now watching fionna and cake as an adult makes me emotional #because did they keep us in mind when writing fionna and her attitude towards life #the dissatisfaction #the hoping for something more #something more magical than this dreary life filled with working to live and living to work #it’s so reflective of how life feels for me and perhaps many of us #and also Simon’s episode was so sad but so well thought out #exploring his feelings after the events of the adventure time finale is something I’m glad we get to see #there were already so many layers to his character in AT but now it feels like we get to dive deeper #I also felt emotional hearing Rebecca Sugar singing and writing a song that encapsulates his feelings so well #😭 it’s been awhile seeing her work exist alongside these characters #and all of these emotions get stronger because I remember AT being the one to inspire me to be a storyboard artist #when I was younger I used to follow many of the board artists here in tumblr and would get so inspired by them #to create simple but powerful boards that can capture the feelings of characters so well #Rebecca Sugar’s songs for the AT characters inspired me so much too #I’m sorry this is long I’m just feeling so many things experiencing all of this again as an adult #my art #fanart #adventure time #fionna and cake #fionna the human #cake the cat #simon petrikov

Cooking up an older Clervie outfit design so I don't have to keep drawing her looking like her child self but Long

#genshin impact #clervie #ngl i have so many thoughts about an older clrv's design but at the same time artistically im not that creative </3 #mostly tried to make her look more like a direct contrast to arlecchino's design (which was already present but we ignore that)#cause arle's design is mostly very sharp and angular while i'd imagine clervie's being much more rounded out and softer #like they are the round vs pointy cat meme in human form #the hair was really tricky cause on one hand much like everyone else we dont really keep the same hairstyle our entire lives #butttttt at the same time idk i feel like her long hair flowing down (and her headband) are very recognizable parts of her #so i decided to not change much (also cause i dont trust myself making multiple drastic changes without changing their identity too much)#also halfways through coloring I realized she's kinda giving crucabena outfit wise but we ignore that </3 #anyways clervie would def be a support/healer character if actually playable (leaning more towards buffer support imo)#ITS A MASSIVE 50/50 IF SHE WOULD BE A HYDRO OR ANEMO USER but i decided hydro for the time being cause it compliments HOTH's dpses more #aka Arlecchino Lyney and partially Freminet since if i remember correctly he's more physical based but cryo nonetheless #i just really like the idea of Clervie's passive being along the lines of boosting stats/dmg if there's HOTH members present in a team #anyways sorry for the text wall I just really need to be kicked out of the kitchen #i am UNDERCOOKING the food #character design is not my passion </3

The way Luz's thank you drawing got rejected by the person it was for when she thought she finally found someone who wouldn't make fun of her for her eccentric behavior, that she is worthless..and then the drawing does get recognized, that it's beautiful and why would it get thrown away. I can't help but think about how Dream defeated Lucifer in the battle of wits by declaring that he is hope. And the fact that Edwin, the 16 years old tortured soul who clawed his way out of hell and immediately decided to help another lost soul and had been doing so for decades and then upon his return to hell helps his own murderer to move on, is indeed the embodiment of Hope In Hell.
