Offshoot of my "team Ro time travels to the founders era" post because @prinzgnomeovonchaos infected me with brain rot in the notes
Tumblr media
So buckle in baby it's time for
Sakumo and babyKashi time traveling to the warring states ✨️
So first thing to get out of the way; Modern Hatake's and warring states era Hatake's do not hold up to the same standards.
The Hatake's during the states were a very small clan with a very big reputation. Hailing from Iron, they were an almost famous wild clan even all the way in fire country. Distantly related to the Inuzuka's but leaning more towards wolves than dogs.
They had a proper kekkei genkai and everything, unnaturally fast and strong, often born with some form of enhanced senses— be it smell, sight, taste, or even touch. Their white chakra fed into it, and they'd feed their chakra with diets of raw meat and the occasional light cannibalism during some special clan celebrations and rituals.
Unfortunatley Sakumo knows very little about the above because he was very young when his clan was pretty much all wiped out. He was raised by the only other survivor, his grandmother, who was pretty young herself when the clan got wiped, and unfortunatley was never all too concious of many of the rituals and traditions of her clan until it was too late.
Sakumo grew up to village standards and was mostly declawed because of it, and Kakashi is only doubly so. And with that dulling of all the different traditions and specific diets also came the slow fading of their bloodline limit, which was already pretty subtle if you didn't know what you're looking for.
Anyways moving on, and if you want more details for my headcanons ab warring states Hatake's vs modern standard Hatake's look at my other time travel post bc I talk ab it more there.
So Kakashi is like 6 (holy shit he's a BABY baby)
Google keeps giving me conflicting numbers for Sakumo's age at his death so we're just gonna shrug and say he's in his early 30's.
Then for the founders;
Madara (23)
Hashirama (23)
Izuna (19)
Tobirama (18)
Sakumo is staring at these guys going through it bc they are BABIES to him. And like look, he's used to working with or even occasionally under people much younger than him, but like. Oh man that's the shodai hokage. And he's like a toddler.
(He's a 23 year old man but Sakumo is kind of having a crisis so he can't register that)
So like. All the founders have major daddy issues, right? Like we can all agree that's plausible? I'm so sorry I just think it'd be *really fucking funny* if they look at Sakumo and just kinda. Yeah.
You know what I mean.
Anyways;
No idea how they got there!! This is set maybe a week before Sakumo offed himself but now he can't kill himself bc that'd mean abandoning Kakashi to the fucking warring states.
Kakashi fits the warring states standards alarmingly well actually. Honestly I think even for that time period he's still scarily young to be on the field. People are giving Sakumo looks like 'it's so hard what we've been forced to do to our children, the battles we've pushed them into, the things they've seen and done all too young'
Sakumo is going *hrrg.* and having a good long look in the mirror actually. Proper crisis, lots of guilt, Kakashi should not be out in the field this young and at least before he was mostly getting baby missions but now they're stranded in time and keep running head first into trouble.
I want Izuna and Kakashi to fight and even though Kakashi absoloutley should NOT win that battle I want him to win just so that Madara and Tobirama can make fun of him for losing to an actual child
Izuna is mortified he wants that brat DEAD
Uhh I have some more but I'm at work and actually hit post too early on this post so I had to come back to rush add all these edits bc I meant for it to stay a draft I could keep adding too later. So I'll just come add more later fr

As for the rowdy ruff boys.
The idea that townsville saw the boys and their rampant destruction and had almost the same exact reaction they had to the girls when they first appeared means everything to me.
Those five year old boys were exploded, killed in a very childlike, haha cooties way that almost distracts from the fact that 3 children died and went to hell.
Post their resurrection, the boys are on their own again. It’s not as if mojo jojo is parenting them. I seriously doubt that Him is doing all that much to care for them either.
In most scenes with the boys they don’t really seem to have a home. Which makes me wonder, where do they sleep? Who is deciding what they eat? I’m assuming despite the fact they are the same age, brick is the leader who is making these decisions.
Sure it should be fine, he’s got superpowers, how hard can it be? Does anyone actually think superpowers magically gives you the thought process to properly care for yourself and your siblings?
I imagine they often found themselves crashing into abandoned buildings to avoid a ppg visit and eating stolen candy, getting sick from it, getting dehydrated and not realized it as kids do. I imagine brick being confused many times in how to handle caring for their needs. I like to think this probably made him really anxious. As he grows up, being the disciplinarian of his brothers, their sort of provider in a way, he ends up feeling isolated from them and from others with a natural distrust of adults and authority.
His brothers, although sort of abused kids, on some level still get to be kids. Brick is left with some major baggage that he does not have the strength or the knowledge to tackle it.
The boys, particularly Butch who I imagine takes the brunt of “punishment” from his brother ends up feeling this sense of resentment festering into something like hatred. Not hatred exactly but the same feeling one would get with a father who wasn’t there for them properly or was too harsh or cruel. Butch wouldn’t have words for it, he wouldn’t understand why he’s so angry and maybe just thinks he’s jealous that brick makes all the decisions. Butch has daddy issues with his brother who is the same age and I think even if he realized that’s what it was, I don’t think he could admit that.
Brick on the other hand would have pent up guilt and a fierce denial that he did anything wrong. (He did his best and it should be enough) he wouldn’t be able to face the idea that he hurt the only people he can consider his family.
Personally I would love to see more complex content on the dynamics between the rowdy ruff boys. They fascinate me endlessly and I may or may not have a self insert child psychologist who stalks them.
If you like what I’m saying, feel free to join my 18+ discord for more chatting ^_^

Getting pretty strong vibes that Lochlan has BPD, like his people pleasing goes so far past what is healthy or rational.
I consider Saxon Piper and Lochlan the children of addicts. Their mom is a pill popper and their dad is a workaholic (at least it's strongly implied). And look how they respond:
Saxon molds himself to be like his dad (his mom gives him unlimited affection freely, maybe he was the only child she actually wanted to have). He tries to emulate his dad's behavior and thinks this will bring him his dad's love. But the only time we see Tim praise Saxon was basically just to calm him down. He was lying to him.
Piper wants to leave her family altogether. She's the only girl in a Southern family, so it makes sense she feels restricted. Her only source of feminine influence is their judgmental mother who's barley lucid most days, who responds extremely negatively to criticism. She's tried to forge her own identity but is shut down at nearly every turn. She seems kind of like daddy's girl, but Tim has to be high out of his mind to show her genuine affection. Most of the time he's emotionally distant and rarely takes her side when she fights with Saxon. Just like Saxon, his agreeing to get rid of their phones is not genuine. He's lying to her there too.
Lochlan is severely emotionally neglected, and almost leans on his older siblings as replacement parents. HUGE child of addict(s) vibes there. But Saxon and Piper are not mature enough to be his parents. Sibling love is not like parental love. So Lochlan trying to replace parental love with sibling love will backfire every time, until the end of time. And what does he do when it backfires? He becomes avoidant in a matter of minutes, and seeks out the next source of affection and false hope. He is willing to do just about anything, even things that are insane, if it will get him this affection. And he basically restructures his whole personality and adapts incredibly quickly before he can spiral into depression when that affection is withheld.
Victoria and Tim also seem to be mostly dismissive to his curiosity or his attempts to connect with them. So Lochlan is both afraid that people will withhold their love if he doesn't do everything they could possibly want, but also afraid to ask what they want in the first place. Dangerous combination.
Tumblr media
So looking at BPD, Lochlan does have a few major things. He definitly idealizes his siblings, has fear of abandonment, and with ep5 he shows drug use and impulsive actions (the first few kisses) and risky sex (incest and all). And he does seem to have some self-image issues. However, he doesn't 100% fit the bill in my head, so I'll have to keep thinking it over, but it's fun to think about.
I agree that Lochlan has just as many or more COA-type symptoms as the siblings. He's got the abandonment issues, some isolation issues, approval-seeking, low self esteem etc.
Saxon definitely tries to emulate his dad. I think he thinks his dad is happy and successful, and Saxon wants a happy life full of success. But it's probably also related, like you said, to getting praise from his father. But of course the father seems to manipulate his children with praise more than using it genuinely.
Piper does seem like a daddy's girl in a lot of ways, but she also went to her mother college, and I think that gave them a special connection too. Piper doesn't seem to consider that she will need to support herself one day. She plans to move to a monastery, and I'm not sure how she plans to have the money to live there for at least a year. Maybe I don't know enough about monastery's, but the plane ticket back to the states will at least const money, and it seems like she relies on her parents in a way that Saxon might not.
And poor Loch seems to reach out to his siblings in the attempt to get his needs filled by them. But like you said, they aren't really mature enough to be his replacement parents. And so he totally just swings back and forth between trying to get attention from Saxon and then Piper. I love all the little scenes where he's with them, and it feels like he's a whole different person. Like one of the small clips form ep 3 where he's just sitting on the couch reading with Piper, probably because that's what she wanted to do. And then all the scenes in ep 5 where he's at the full moon party with Saxon. He seems so different there, and I feel like a lot of that is a performance for Saxon's sake.
Yeah, that combination of needing to please people, but being afraid of trying to please them (fear of failure) is dangerous. He never wants to disappoint anyone, and I think the emotional stakes are really high. If he fails to make them happy and be who they want him to be, then he loses their love. And since he defines himself and his worth by their conditional love, he's constantly de-valuing himself and repeating these mental pathways that he's not enough when he's himself. And that is SO incredibly dangerous.
Thanks for the inbox message!

HEADCANON - ADAM RAKI (ADAM)
Tumblr media
Adam's father, being a military man, taught his son how to handle weapons, but only for emergency situations.
Adam doesn't like the noise of guns, but he likes how they make his hands tingle.
Adam has a very high IQ and was responsible for many revolutionary electronic toys, but all his plans were stolen by competing companies, which led to his dismissal.
Sometimes he has existential crises without wanting to, starts thinking a lot about the universe, and realizes that he is just a microscopic dot in the middle of vast life. Then he comforts himself with the fact that he is alive and can be part of this universe, and he feels better.
He is a light sleeper and sometimes slept hugging his father, but whenever Adam slept, his father had to stay in bed for hours so Adam wouldn't wake up.
His best friends in childhood were the teachers who were always impressed with him, although some didn't have much patience for him.
His mother abandoned him after he was diagnosed with autism, so Adam saw her leave when he was 6 years old, which affects him to this day.
Afraid that Adam would have abandonment issues, his father made sure to be the best father possible.
Adam is a daddy's boy.
His father, after leaving the army and before marrying Adam's mother, studied and worked at NASA.
Adam has knowledge about rocket construction and dreams of being able to build his own rocket, but his father forbade him from trying to buy aircraft fuel because he knows it's illegal.
Adam always fed the raccoons with his father when they went to the park.
After moving to Canada, he became very popular with the people at his work and became known as "The Little Prince," although Adam had already explained that he was neither a prince nor someone small.
The children who visit the planetarium love Adam, some even dress up as characters from the book "The Little Prince" to see him.
The children's parents were worried about Adam being a danger to their children, but soon understood that he was a good man and deserved respect.
Adam laughed a lot after understanding that a girl's drawing was not a hat but a snake that ate an elephant.
He doesn't like the book "The Little Prince" because of its astrological inaccuracies, but he has worn his astronaut suit to impress the children, which also made him more comfortable and helped attract the children's attention when he was talking about space.
Adam adopted a cat after moving to Canada; actually, it was the cat who adopted Adam. One day the cat appeared at the window of Adam's new apartment, and he didn't have the heart to approach and remove the animal. Two days later, the cat entered, and Adam preferred not to touch him, as the cat could be skittish. By the end of the week, Adam had already named the cat, taken him to the pet shop for a bath, given all the vaccines, and arranged a room in the apartment just for the cat to live in without disturbing Adam's routine.
The cat:
Tumblr media
His name is Cat.
Cat is Adam's greatest companion and always accompanies him to work before returning home.
Cat never approaches Adam without permission and doesn't climb on sofas or tables.
Adam becomes even more famous for his adorable friendship with Cat, and many writers and modeling agencies frequently appear at Adam's door, but he refuses them all.
The children give him roses all the time, saying it's so he doesn't miss "his rose." Adam doesn't know what that means.
Adam hates real flowers; they release a lot of pollen and smell like a cemetery.
Despite not liking flowers, he likes cemeteries and often observes the stars there. Sometimes he ends up cleaning someone's tombstone just because he will be sitting nearby for hours and likes to be in a clean place.
Adam ends up becoming a kind of celebrity at his work, and everyone recognizes him as "The Little Prince of real life."

i read this fic where bayek becomes desmond's father and it got me thinking that he'd make such a great father for our stabby bois with daddy-issues hahahaha best founding father ever
Bayek found them by accident.
Or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that Senu found them while he was connected to her. He felt her take over and Bayek had been surprised.
The only time Senu had ever taken over when Bayek was connected to her was when she noticed that Khemu had been a babe and had gotten out of the house without anyone realizing it.
That was the reason why Bayek knew that it was important to let Senu take control.
And she showed them to him.
Four children, the oldest being perhaps ten or nine years old while the youngest could have only been a few months old.
They all wore simple white robes, the whiteness having been dulled by dirt. The oldest held the small baby in his arms, glaring at Bayek with golden eyes.
They all looked quite similar to one another, especially the two oldest boys so Bayek had assumed they were brothers.
… and orphans.
The oldest boy was the one to answer all his questions but he only gave out his name.
Altaïr.
They were staying in a rickety house that looked abandoned and Bayek couldn’t help but be worried. He had been in the area to help build the bureau so he had asked the two Hidden Ones stationed there if they could keep an eye on the children.
“What children are you talking about, Amun?”
.
What children?
That questioned plagued Bayek.
They have not seen any orphans around the area, they said.
And Bayek believed them.
No.
It was more accurate to say…
He believed that they didn’t see any children.
Which meant that these children were able to stay out of their way for many months now.
Perhaps even years.
Bayek visited them once more, bringing a basket filled with fresh baked bread.
But they weren’t in the house.
Connecting with Senu proved to be the right call.
Bayek could not find them but he knew Senu saw them when she took over their connection once more.
They had moved into another abandoned house…
And it seemed that they were not surprised when Bayek entered their new home.
The oldest of them simply looked annoyed.
Bayek knew that his intrusion was not welcomed so he simply left after placing the basket in the middle of the room.
The following day, he checked with Senu once more.
And, as he had guessed, the children had changed home once more.
It truly says a lot about the current situation here that there were many abandoned buildings and homes that four small children could use without anyone knowing.
He brought them food once more.
But this time, he also brought fresh goat milk.
And left with the feeling of those golden eyes glaring at his back.
.
This went on for weeks.
Bayek always made time to bring the children food wherever they go.
At some point, they started to return to their previous locations but never in the same pattern…
It was always random.
And Bayek found himself smiling when he saw them wearing the clothes he had bought for them. Just as simple as their white robes but cleaner.
The baby that was usually in one of the older children’s arms would even wave his hand at him as if to greet him.
And he finally learned the other boys’ names.
Ezio was the second oldest and was the one who talked to Bayek with a lighter tone than his older brother. His name and his smile made Bayek remember Esio but that boy was in Rome right now, being trained to be a Hidden One by Aya.
The third oldest boy was named Ratonhnhaké:ton and he was usually quiet. The first few times Bayek had problem saying his name, he had suggested to just call him Connor but Bayek could see the annoyance in Altaïr’s eyes and the frown decorating Ezio’s face. As well as the understanding and resignation in Ratonhnhaké:ton’s face. So Bayek never called him Connor. The first time he was able to say Ratonhnhaké:ton’s name without messing up, Ratonhnhaké:ton looked surprised for a brief moment before he smiled at Bayek for the very first time.
The youngest of them was Desmond and he’s always being carried by one of his brothers. They were protective of the child, perhaps a bit too overprotective in Bayek’s eyes, to be honest. But Desmond was a quiet baby and Bayek had wondered if perhaps the baby could not talk but he would make cooing sounds and babble softly at times.
It was like…
Desmond was taught to be quiet.
They all were.
.
“Altaïr…”
Altaïr turned to look at the entrance of their 16th safehouse and nodded as he greeted back, “Bayek.”
The old man who had continually followed them no matter how many times they changed safehouses stayed at the other side of the small hole, crouching so he could see inside.
“Ba! Ba!” Desmond waved his hands at Bayek and Altaïr kept his hold on the baby firmly, knowing that, given a chance, Desmond would crawl towards the old man. Desmond had been crawling all over and all of them had been worried that he’d hit his head on something.
“Where’s Ezio and Ratonhnhaké:ton?”
“Out.” Altaïr replied vaguely. He knew the old man knew how they would steal food and other items they need from the richer part of the city and always had that small frown whenever Altaïr made vague comments concerning their lifestyle.
It wasn’t like the daily food would be enough for them, after all.
And Desmond needed more than just goat milk.
“I will be leaving tomorrow.”
“I see.”
“If it’s alright with you four, I-”
“We’re not joining your cult.” Altaïr cut him off as he dangled a bell in front of Desmond.
Desmond giggled and grabbed the bell, successfully getting distracted from crawling towards Bayek.
“It’s not a cult.” Bayek sighed and Altaïr didn’t bother to tell him they knew that. They just enjoyed calling it a cult even if it wasn’t true.
“And I know you four have been playing tricks on them.” Bayek said, trying to not sound like he was scolding Altaïr. The two Hidden Ones had been the target of harmless pranks for months now, including a very memorable incident where Ezio had actually managed to steal their coin purses that he returned to them… in the bureau after he and Ratonhnhaké:ton had sneaked in.
But Bayek could not afford himself to get distracted.
He was here on an important mission after all.
“I wasn’t going to suggest that you stayed in the bureau. I was going to ask…” Bayek stared at Altaïr as he asked, “… would you four like to join me in my travels?”
Altaïr stared at him for a moment before he looked away as he said, “I’ll talk to my brothers about it.”
Bayek’s lips curved into a small smile, already knowing that would be Altaïr’s answer, “Then… I will be leaving at dawn. I will wait in the east gate.”
He pushed the basket of food into the hole before leaving, knowing Altaïr would simply find it annoying if he was to try and plead his case.
All he could was hope.
And wait for tomorrow.
.
I think the fic nonny is talking about is Haris by CherShare. Do give it a try if you’re interested.

Ranking the camp companions on their childrearing abilities:
The companions are ranked by how I think they'd do as a single parent.
#1: Halsin
Not only will that child survive, they'll thrive. (Halsin is DJ Khalid when it comes to taking care of orphans; another one!) They might have problems with feeling unimportant or overlooked becuase of the many, many, other children competing for Halsin's attention. But they'll always be 1000% loved and supported.
#2: Wyll
The child will survive and do great, so long as Wyll goes to therapy for his own daddy issues (Ulder is a shitty father, you cannot change my mind.) and is not in Avernus with Karlach, and Mizora has buggered off. I feel like the child would have a naïve outlook on how the world works, and would experience a rough paradigm shift when they inevitably see how unjust it really is. And they would have to grow up in Baldur's Gate, the moral cesspit of Faerûn. But Wyll is such a sweetheart that I think the kid will turn out just fine and mostly well adjusted.
#3: Lae'zel
(I am honestly shocked at how high she ranks on this list.) The child will survive and do well, so long as Lae'zel reads plenty of parenting books and asks for advice/ help. Though the kid might have abandonment issues/ an avoidant attachment style because their mother was always away at war. They may also have an identity crisis from not feeling like they belong either in Gith society or Faerûn society. But the child will grow up to be decisive, fiercely independent, and capable.
#4: Gale
The child will survive and do well, so long as Gale goes to therapy for his daddy issues, and Mystra's abuse, and his fucked relationship with Elminster, and if he isn't a God, and if he doesn't have the orb in his chest anymore. Though they may develop into a gifted kid who needs academic validation and will eventually face burn out if they don't relax. Or they'd feel like they've never made their father proud becuase they're dumb. Gale won't do this intentionally, it would simply be a by product of the child having a respected academic/ magical prodigy as their father. They might also have self esteem issues from Gale handing them off to his simulacrum when he got overstimulated by their normal (young child) behavior.
#5: Karlach
The child will survive and do fine. I just don't personally see Karlach as a mom, she has fun aunt vibes. But as a mom I think she'd be too permissive in her parenting. Or she could over correct because of her own childhood and be overbearing. Or a baffling mixture of both. Having a mother who has an infnal engine for a heart would probably result in the kid having seperation anxiety/ health anxiety. However, the child would never doubt that she loves them and their home would be full of joy.
#6: Shadowheart
The child will survive and do alright. Shart doesn't have any memories of her own childhood (that aren't Sharran abuse) to guide her. Her mother will probably die before the child even reaches 2, and even if she lives then she'd not be fit to help take care of a child. Her father has been a prisoner of Sharrans for ~30 years, I don't think he's going to be a whole lot of help. Shar is absolutely going to be a petty bitch and go after the kid. I think that Shart will try her hardest to properly raise the child, and the kid will eventually see that— but the child is definitely going to have to go to lots of therapy.
#7: Jaheira
The child will survive, but they will have abandonment issues and mommy issues. I love Jaheira, but why in the fuck did she decide to adopt a bunch of kids and then not raise them herself for the majority of their childhoods? The kid's going to have anxiety issues, as they'd know from a young age that they're a target for anyone who has a grudge against the Harpers. They're probably going to have problems with authority figures. Also, potental parentification depending on their age.
#8: Minthara
The child will probably survive, but they will have many issues. Two words sum up my reasoning: drow parenting.
#9: Astarion
The child might survive. Astarion would do well as the rich eccentric uncle who is fun but is only seen 2x a year for 30 minutes, at most. Who in the fuck looked at this man and said "Yes, he's fit to be a parent."? He struggles with his own emotions, he doesn't like being touched, he doesn't like loud stinky things, he can only ever go out at night, not to mention the "200 years of shit, PURE SHIT." he 'lived' through. He only had his own fucked up "family" as a reference to how families interact. Even with trying his best that kid is going to have an avoidant-anxious/ disorganized attachment style that will single-handedly keep a therapist in business for many, many, years. If he is the biological father of the child then the kid will probably resent him because they'd be a damphir. If he just adopted a random kid they'd resent him for raising them himself instead of giving them to someone (Halsin) who could properly care for them— assuming that they survive long enough to develop resentment that is. (Astarion: "I feel like I'm forgetting something important. Eh, must've not been important if I forgot about it." The the important thing he forgot was, emphasis on the word the word was, the child.) The only reason he's not lower on this list is because he'd actually have some amount of genuine affection for the child.
#10: Mizora
The child might survive, but they're going to be fucked up. Mizora is absolutely the narcissistic, literal devil (cambion) Karen Toddlers in Tiaras mom who tries to live vicariously through her child and reacts severely negatively when said child has their own personality/ wants and dreams. She's not going to focus on raising them, she's too busy brown nosing Zariel for that. She seems like someone who would take out loans in her child's name when they're a minor and not pay them back, thus fucking the kids credit score before they could even walk. She will tell the kid "You're lucky to be alive." She makes Joan Crawford look like a stellar mother. Actual hell itself is not a good environment for a child to be raised in.
#11: Minsc (and Boo)
It's a miracle in and of itself that Minsc has managed to keep himself alive for as long as he has. Even with Boo's help it would be a miracle if the child survives. He'd feed an infant raw honey and give the poor kid botulism. (Seriously y'all, don't give babies honey.) The best thing Minsc could do is hand the kid off to Jaheira to "raise" them for him.
#12: Withers
"No."
He ain't even going to try. Do not hand him a baby, he'll place it on the floor and walk away like a Sim does.
#13: Volo
🗣🔥🔥🔥 We ain't making it past infancy with this one. Poor kid never stood a chance.

Let's talk Magneto's letter!
I'm not marking this as spoilers because we've probably all seen the panels from Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver floating around the internet at this point (but I do apologise if I do accidentally spoil it for someone - take this as your warning to scroll past and not read this post).
So after many months of speculation as to what the letter could be and if it has big reveals the contents of the letter is not a lore changing or retcon inducing reveal but .... Drum roll please.... that Magneto thinks the twins should stay apart, that they are dangerous together (particularly that Pietro is dangerous to Wanda and Wanda coddles Pietro) and that Pietro should have stayed dead after Magneto murdered him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wow isn't Maggie father of the year? What a girldad!
Jokes aside and let's get this out of the way because I know a lot of the Magneto is right crowd have been calling for Orlando's head over this character assassination or trying to argue Magneto is in fact right about the twins (despite the story and the twins themselves saying otherwise) - Magneto being an abusive douchbag to his kids is the norm, we only have 60 years of their relationship in the 616 verse alone to prove this. Yes there is nuance to this that makes it all very interesting, one of the most interesting dynamics in Marvel, and I personally never expected to hear Magneto saying the silent part out loud because I do think cannon shows that he loves all his kids Pietro included (but is incapable of loving them the way a parent should), but this is simply an over exaggeration and not out of character. Its no surprise he says this to his son. It's also of note that Magneto never actually intended for the twins to see the letter or Storm would have given it to Wanda when she visited in SW#2 to deliver the news of Magneto's passing, it might have been Magneto trying to work out some feelings and opinions rather than protect them as he claims (cause again he didn't actually intend for anyone to see the letter, he sealed it shut in a box). He is justified in feeling frustrated that his last words were weaponised against his children (lol Mags being like how dare my own hurtful words were used to hurt my kids - no one hurts them but me)
Magneto is one of those genderbended boymoms that is jealous of their daughter and views then as competition. Only in this case it is with his son and the competition is for Wanda's affections. The fact is, Magneto is always going to loose that fight and he knows it.
The more I think about it the more I like that this letter wasn't a big reveal (though I'm sure the recton everyone is hoping for will come some day -I'm glad it wasn't today) but something that played into the themes of this series. Their father, the Wizard and the Giver are all saying the twins should stay apart and the story and the twins say no and prove them wrong. A lot of the twins greatest feats are reactive and evolving, tying back to the red queen hypothesis mentioned in issue 4.
On a side note if the Giver really wanted to deal with the twins she should have gone to dear old daddy Mags and he would have nipped that problem in the bud in a jiffy seeing as he and the giver are of a like mind when it comes to the twins. Technically you just need to get rid of one of them seeing as the Givers worry is about the twins together but let's see what the new Scarlet Witch solo has to say about that (I hope Pietro's role in this isn't forgotten but you can never tell with Marvel)
What the letter is is a classic case of a narcissist parent setting up a golden child and scape goat dynamic. Seeking to isolate the twins from each other. It's very clear he's self projecting onto his son (and Lorenzo Tammetta deliberately emphasises the similaries the two have in appearance to drive this fact home) and blaming Pietro for moments that happened that can apply to himself and are in fact caused by his actions for example his willingness to abandon his daughter to die and murder of his son in HoM. Both the major trigger points for the creation of the HOM verse and no more mutants. I'm not saying Magneto is souly to blame here but he does have a big contribution to what happens that he never has taken accountability for (along with the X-Men who play as victims and the avengers who did own up to what they did but otherwise keep silent about the blame the twins get from the X-Men).
A lot has been said about the impact of the letter on Pietro and I don't think I can add much more other than to emphasise how crushing that has be to hear from a parent and abuser even if you hate them. The twins helped each other survive for a very long time and we're each others everything parent, twins, best friend, protector, etc. You've spent time and energy and dedicated a portion of your life to protecting someone to the degree of making it your reason for living for a long time (please note I am not saying this is a healthy mindset for Pietro- hes taken it too far sometimes) and in a hypocritical tyraid are told it's all for nothing. Pietro handles it really well and comes out this with his head held high. Reacting calmly, expressing his love for his sister and throwing Magneto's words back at him. I think as a Quicksilver fan we can be reasonably happy with this outcome (but I do understand some fans frustration to hear Quicksilver be degraded that way and told he's bad for Wanda while she gets forced to interact with men that did treat her like shit like Vision and Magneto - however the point is that Magneto is WRONG and Wanda herself reiterates this point).
Now the one person who's screwed over by the writing and out of character in that scene is WANDA. Sure she tells Magneto he is wrong but that gentle response (even if she does react with a degree of unhappiness to see Magneto back) and effort to be neutral is so odd for her given that she sent the Wizard to a hell dimension for hurting her brother a few pages prior and has been even more vocal than Pietro in calling her father out in the past. She's as protective of her brother as he is her and I can't believe she would be written as a daddies girl and standby while a man who abused them both continues to abuse her brother.
The contents of the letter is also not great for Wanda. And I would argue is a subtler abuse tactic. Like a lot of the focus is rightly on how shitty it was for Magneto to say what he did in his letter to Pietro but we're also not considering the the negative implications it has for Wanda as well. Wanda has been working to establish herself as independent and not defined by the men in her life for so long and here is her "father", infantalising her and saying he knows better than her about her own life and what keeps her safe, that is seeking to take away from her the one pillar of support she's always had and one of if not the important relationship to her, a lot of Wanda's lowest moments did happen when Pietro wasn't even around, when everyone including Magneto abandoned her, her brother was there. The twins do have a codependency and that codependency does have it's toxic elements, Magneto touches on it but doesn't go into detail. Wanda is codasended to and told she is "coddling" her brother and everything else is Pietro's fault. The letter is worse for Pietro but it's shitty for Wanda too, she is a grown woman& a mother here is a man that abused her talking down to her, saying he knows best for her and her opinions are wrong, seeking to isolate her and undermining her authority.
The twins are right for saying Magneto is wrong but wish Wanda would get more angry at this undermining. Maybe like Pietro she is just very jaded and tired of the whole thing with Magneto. These words would be upsetting if they didn't in their own way love their father too as fucked up as it all is.
Now to be fair - does Magneto's letter have any merit? That isn't to easy to answer but in the interests of equal analysis let's try!
So I think one think that Magneto touches on but doesn't go into or outright say is the twins codependancy. He is a few years late to the party but he's been dead and their not dad for a while so well give him a small amount of leeway in his old age. I don't think the twins codependency is necessary a wholly bad thing but it does have it's nagative elements and in some cases has held the twins back. If we are to adopt a charitable approach her Magneto in his own twisted and emotionally constipated way may be trying to encourage the twins to be independent, to discourage his son from defining his self worth around his ability to protect his sister. Ofc I am reaching a bit here as Magneto could have just said this (though we'll never see the full contents of the letter - both Wanda and Mags may be summerising the worst parts of it) and done so in a way that wasnt cruel.
I also do believe that Magneto in writing those words to a degree did believe or convinced himself that he was not writing those words out of Malice and that it was an attempt to protect the twins (though I will reiterate how much it was actually intended to protect them when Magneto didn't actually intend for the twins to see the letter but at least he owns up to the fact he did write those words). In his mind he was being cruel to be kind but the narrative makes it clear that even if he had "good" intentions - he is nevertheless still fundamentally misunderstanding his children and self projecting onto his son. I'm not mad about this -its in character and I feel this letter is set up for a longer plot thread and I hope it's explored but let's see!
It certainly makes me feel that Pietro's lack of mention in RoM was extremely deliberate as was his lack of appearance in last week's FoX issue despite his cameo in the previous one to save the Magneto and Pietro reunion for this comic (the Xoffice are collaborative)
Is the writing for this scene perfect? no! Is Magneto potentially a tad one note? Yes but being a dick to his kids is in character and it's unsubtle but sometimes it needs to be.

did it have to be a fucking fire?
(aka my google docs rant written from 3 to 4 am about spirit of justice and apollos backstory)
okay to preface this is not an essay. this is a yap session. my word isnt law on anything but instead by opinions based on my life and upbringing. im no be all end all for how you should view ace attorney and apollo but i cant NOT talk about him
so like, i have major fucking issues with spirit of justice. a lot of different issues. one of them is apollo. something i struggle with a lot as an adoptee is representation in media. its not that big of a deal i guess. but its frustrating what the limited pool of adoptee characters is filled with. a lot of it are these grandiose tragedies orphaning a child. which can happen in the real world. im not denying the existence of those orphaned by great tragedy. but it feels like the only type of adoptee representation out there. a lot of times, it feels like their tragedy is more of a spectacle than anything, rather than actually treated as a tragedy. after having finished aa4, before really knowing anything about aa6, i would lightheartedly talk about how i appreciated apollo and trucy not having the backstory of their parents dying in a great tragic fire on a boat out on sea wherein they had to abandon their baby in a basket and push it across the sea. you can imagine my reaction to learning how apollos dad died considering the choice of examples i tend to joke about
because, look, trucy is a good example of a way you can use some of the admittedly crazy circumstances of ace attorney while not falling into tired tropes about adoptees. she was the daughter of a single father and was abandoned by him. he didnt die some sort of heroic death or whatever. he left her. simple as that. sure, he disappeared in a magic act to escape a criminal conviction, but it was a breath of fresh air after a lot of carbon copy orphaning stories. and you know what sweetened the deal with me? thalassa coming back. thalassa regaining her memories. and still not returning to trucy. that hit such a good emotional spot for me. adoption exists in a great many different forms. some bio parents never get told the whereabouts of their children. but some do. some are only a call away from their bio children and refuse to get in contact with them. and in a world where most adoptees i saw were orphans, it hit me hard to have a character with the experience of, not only having living bio parents, but those who did not reach out to them. sure, thalassa promises to tell trucy and apollo eventually, but shes still pushing it off. still refuses it for a while. and it almost made me cry
this isnt even mentioning trucys relationship with nick and the gramaryes. a lot of stories either prioritize blood family or chosen family and refuse to let you have both. but there are children who experience both. children who do love or want to love both their biological and adopted families. and trucy is not demonized for wanting to love both. she calls zak and nick daddy and, sure, theres a joke about how it gets confusing, but its not Bad that she cares for both, that she still considers both her parents. and thats something special. especially as she wasnt adopted at birth. she did live with the gramaryes for a not insignificant amount of time. if she wants to keep her connections, her feelings, then let her
in aa4 and aa5 we hardly get any information about apollos family aside from his connection to thalassa and trucy, and honestly, i was very okay with that. i liked him serving as a mostly blank slate. i had been excited to project my own experiences on him, especially as he was from thalassa’s first marriage, meaning thalassa had very purposefully left him behind. far before her whole assumed death. thats another thing i cried about and i think its very telling of the type of experience ive had. we didnt know much about his fathers death by aa4, but i was honestly fine with the idea of apollo being left to a single father who died. i was a little wary, considering how orphaning tends to be handled, but i had hope. theres plenty of ways to die after all. and both trucy and apollo had a lot more grounded experiences than i was used to. i dont ever expect to find characters who experiences match my own by like 80% but im not that broken up about it, especially when aa4 handled apollo and trucy surprisingly well
and of course, i ended up being spoiled for aa6 before playing. and my frustration got to fester for like weeks until i finished up aa6. and it just kept getting worse. apollos dad dies in a fire. sure, ironic and mildly annoying but not that big of a deal. apollo was raised by the leader of a rebellion. okay… not the biggest fan but sure i gues. the fire was part of an assassination plot. what the fuck are you on about now. apollos foster father was the husband to the queen who was assassinated, also connecting apollo to the royalty of another country. now im sick of all this. theres a whole nother argument to be made about WHY apollo was given this backstory which im absolutely going to touch on at a later date. but it was honestly disheartening to learn about his backstory. what i loved about aa4 was how much more realistic these stories felt compared to everything else. but sure make him an illegitimate prince to a throne as well as the son of an infamous rebel. whatever man. i dont care (Cares a lot). it was just a slap in the face. and maybe thats my fault for getting too excited about any adoptees in media. but like jesus man. did you really have to do all that? i get ace attorney has a thing for these crazy plots and schemes and pieces falling together but i swear to god apollos story just feels like such a tropey mess compared to others.
i can live with jove dying in a fire. thats fine. i am MORE than okay with apollo growing up in khura’in, either being born there or not. if aa6 handled khura’in half decently, it couldve been fun to explore. unfortunately, aa6 handled khura’in Horribly. where you start adding in the plotlines about the defiant dragons and dhurks marriage to amara you just. lose me so thoroughly. i just lose my excitement an interest. because apollo is another of the hundreds of adoptee stories that couldve been good, couldve given representation to people like me, an opportunity to see a very underdiscussed part of our lives in media, but ended up falling so short. it feels like no one wants to write an adoptee unless theyre a spectacle. and yea i get it stories are stories you gotta make things interesting whatever. but so many mundane aspects of life are written about time and time again. so many life experiences are included as a Normal part of existence, rather than something you have to dramaticize so heavily. adoption in media feels like a tool rather than an author legitimately wanting to write about more diverse life experience. someone being an adoptee or an orphan is usually used to provide a narrative reason for a characters family being uninvolved in the story, to connect to them to a grand plot or scheme (orimarily through character relations), or for the beloved angst factor of a tragic childhood. and its tiring. does anyone care about the children of teen pregnancies? the children of international adoption? the rehomed or the abandoned or the neglected or the displaced? i could be here for hours concocting various types of adoptees that can exist in the world because its such a large spectrum of experience. but it feels like no one cares. maybe im making a mountain out of a molehill, but i had high hopes for ace attorney, and it hurt to have them crushed. its hard wanting to get excited about adoptee characters when theyre consistently placed in the same character templates to be repeated over and over again. i wish my story was treated as a real life possibility. as a type of person who can exist in the world. so often are adoptees and their stories mystified in media. or, on the other end, are completely ignored and disregarded. adoptee characters never feel like theyre written as, or discussed in fandom as, characters with traits that people can have, but instead as completely fictional tropes and archetypes. every day i see arguments about shipping adopted characters and so often it feels like adoption only exists as the fictional and hypothetical. and apollo just feels emblematic of this to me. because he had potential. we saw this potential in trucy. but they had to make him “interesting”. had to spice up his story. had to justify his involvement in khura’in because otherwise the story starts feeling too much like a white savior story. they didnt come here to write a realistic adoptee. and maybe i shouldnt be putting that expectation on writers. but goddamn i am sick of dining on crumbs. im sick of only finding myself in headcanons that I MYSELF HAVE TO CREATE
apollos backstory deserved better

Littles with Disabilities in kink Spaces
Another post inspired by my boy @squirtdaboi.
So today he did an amazingly brave thing and went to London, by himself for the first time, to a puppy event to meet up with friends.
Something to know about this amazing boy is he's partially sighted and has sensory issues, so this was a huge thing for him. So freaking proud of him!
We worked through lots of anxiety, and his so called friends kept changing plans which really doesn't work well for him- I have to reassure him when he comes to visit exactly what's going to happen - and I have zero issue doing as many times as he needs.
My boy went through a lot during the day, most disappointing was that friends abandoned him, luckily some really decent pups looked after him towards the end. Even making sure he got to his train. So thank you to our little heroes today!
Now here's the thing that angers me the most, as a Daddy who has 2 kiddos with Special needs, how the community treats those with different needs often leaves me utterly livid!
Worse is that most events are catered to the able bodied, often being in places where the disabled facilities are in the lady's toilets? If there is even that! In this day how is that even considered acceptable!?
Yes he's little, but he has some continence issues, so should he or others be discriminated against? Or find themselves in spaces that are really non inclusive?
Now I have to add that I spent 20 years working in adult and children support and enabling services, I'm a qualified Therapist, and have spent over 2 decades as an activist for the human rights and inclusion of those with different needs.
So I fully understand that most people aren't going to have the level of understanding and competency in these matters; but compassion doesn't require training, it requires genuine empathy!
As a community we have to start doing better at inclusion and creating safe spaces for those with disabilities, especially at events! A little bit of awareness goes along way!
No one is expecting you to be a carer, but if you are going to invite those with additional needs to events or play dates, have a basic understanding of their needs, ask what you can do to help and is there anything you need to be aware of!
And when playing with others this should just be basic etiquette and Safe play behaviour!
To event organisers, find out how you can make your event's inclusive and accessible for all! And yes that means you may have to ensure that there are facilities that are accessible should people need it!
We can do so much to make our kink Spaces more inclusive; see that shy person looking awkward? Maybe try to include them, ask them if they are ok?
As a person who is hard of hearing I can tell you how often people communicate with me in ways that make it impossible to hear- I often just give up reminding people and ignore them.
So imagine if you have more complex communication issues?
Again we can do so much to be inclusive, face people (don't always stare in people's eyes as it's anxiety inducing for some), use clear language, don't cover your mouth. Ask people what you do to support better communication; honestly you will find people will feel so enriched if you take little time to understand!
Conclusion
People with disabilities are at an increased risk of social exclusion, it can be a trial just getting to places (that's if someone lets them go!), so we can all do much to welcome people with open arms!
But remember not everyone likes being touched, so take "opens arms" as a metaphor, and at the very least ask before touching/hugging!

Takes place during season 6 episode 8, the only difference is that it’s nighttime.
~~~~~
daydreaming my life away (would you come along with me?) by anderhummel (em_a)
Sometimes Kurt feels like he and Blaine are moving too fast, hurtling headfirst into the unknown where their relationship is bound to end in a fiery crash and broken hearts.
But then Blaine flashes a smile at him, or shoots him an exasperated look behind Rachel's back, or hooks his pinky into Kurt's belt loop as they're walking down the hallway, or—really, sometimes Blaine breathes and Kurt knows, deep in his bones, that he has never been more sure of anything in his life.
* * *
A collection of times throughout Kurt and Blaine's relationship that they discuss their futures.
5 Times: Darling, Just Kiss Me Slow by InsightfulInsomniac
Five types of kisses that Kurt and Blaine share in their domestic moments of early marriage. Wholesome, sweet early married Klaine with a few guest appearances along the way from Burt and Carole.
Aka my five favorite kiss ideas from a kiss prompt list I found a long time ago.
New York Ever After by @gleefulpoppet
Upon their return to New York, Kurt and Blaine create an extraordinary life curated from thousands of ordinary moments noticed, appreciated, and treasured. [AKA The Klaine Glee spinoff we all wanted: date nights, doing the dishes, showers before work, fits of giggles, lazy couch kisses, and more.]
Canon compliant through the entirety of season 6. Each chapter will be self-contained—no cliffhangers or abandoned story issues to worry about.
Honeymoon Holidays by @flowerfan2
Kurt and Blaine’s first winter holidays together as a married couple fall so quickly after their wedding that sometimes they almost seem like a continuation of their honeymoon.  But not always.  A story in the “Season 7” series that looks at events in the early married life of Kurt and Blaine.
~~~
The Boys of Summerby neverhaveieverbooks
Kurt and Blaine’s first summer in New York after they get married. It’s easy. It’s hard. It’s perfectly imperfect. A summer tale in 12 chapters. Canon-compliant. This story technically takes place within the middle of episode 6 x 13, after Nationals, and before they return to McKinley for their visit in the fall.
Written for the Klaine Summer Challenge 2016 on tumblr.
~~~~~
The Bluebird as She Singsby @lovetheblazer
Eleven months in the journey Kurt and Blaine take to become parents, from Rachel offering to be their surrogate through the birth. Klaine reaction fic for “Dreams Come True” with background St. Berry.
~~~~~
My Wish for Youby Iris Kane
Picking up after the series finale; this story takes place sometime between 2015 and 2020 when Rachel agrees to be Kurt and Blaine surrogate, this is what I think might have happened. (Some rewrites and adjustments to this story; if you’re confused about the direction the story is going please reread)
~~~~~
It’s Bittersweet, Babyby InsightfulInsomniac
When packing up their things to move into their first place as an officially married couple, Blaine finds Kurt’s engagement ring in his former sock drawer, sparking many emotions and memories between the two of them.
But as loving, secure husbands do, they talk it out together.
When a class mom pulls out at the last minute, Kurt fills in as a chaperone for Blaine's second grade class trip. Turns out that "Mr. Anderson" is quite popular with the moms and Kurt doesn't bother to mention that Blaine's his boyfriend.
My Experience Being Fatherless
 The one question I've always had growing up, “Why was I not enough?” I would ask that question to anyone I could, my mother, my friends, teachers, etc. However, it has taken me almost 16 years to realize that I would not get the answer from them. Not because they didn’t want to, but because they couldn’t answer that themselves. Why does a father leave their daughter? Why is their child not the center of their world, the reason they live and breathe? Maybe it's selfishness, or greed, or addiction. Unfortunately, most daughters won’t get the answer they’re looking for. They’ll be forced to consume media of healthy father-daughter relationships, and listen to her friends complain about their dad for grounding them when they really don’t understand just how lucky they are. All that is left of her father is meaningless pictures of him holding her in the delivery room, seeking that warmth she can only faintly remember for the rest of her life.
     An article I had read titled, “Fatherless daughters: the impact of absence,” had said, “ …we know that an absent father is a haunting presence for his daughter. She will wonder why he left, why he has abandoned her, and if she did something to cause him to disappear. She will look for him in the men in her life…” I have never related to something more. I look for a father figure in every man in my life, trying to fill some void that he has left behind. Whether it be teachers, my mothers boyfriends, something in me will always wonder, “will you be the one to fill the void?” I will idolize these men, romanticizing almost every interaction, building a one sided bond. I will get attached, and then my hopes get let down. It’s a cycle that repeats itself over and over, for my whole life.
   However, the absence of my father has not only just affected me. It's noticeable in my mother too. She’s guilty with herself for not being able to prevent the cycle of an absent parent from repeating itself. Many studies have shown that households lacking a paternal presence are more likely to be dysfunctional and in poverty; and from my experience, this is 100% true.
“The role of a father is not just vital for children, but also for the mother. When only the mother is available, their life becomes consumed with caring for the children. This added stress can lead to unhealthy parenting practices and burnout,” My fathers absence has not only left a permanent pit in my stomach, but it has greatly affected my relationship with my mother. My whole childhood I held resentment for her. For a while I blamed her, for not letting my drug addict father come around me until he was clean. I would constantly compare her to him, continuously belittle her for not being like him. Even now, it seems as if her trying her best isn't good enough.
    There is a very rampant romanticization of having “daddy issues” all over the internet. Having daddy issues is often linked with having crushes on older men and adolescent girls romanticizing pedophilia. Girls will browse tumblr, and tie bows in their hair while getting groomed online. I, fortunately, have not been easily susceptible to being groomed or taken advantage of. However I have always had a problem with relationships with boys my age. I almost never actually have a crush on a boy that I didn't force myself to have. Yet I always end up having a crush on the cool male teacher that everyone likes. Even in elementary school I would act extra behaved in their class so I could possibly get special treatment.
   My fathers absence has unfortunately always led me to seeking male validation amongst my peers. I'm like a chameleon when it comes to my surroundings, acting either reserved or outspoken depending on the atmosphere of the men in the room. I constantly change my appearance to see which looks get me the most attention. “Maybe he likes blondes… no i'll dye my hair black… wear less makeup? No, let's put more on,” is what my brain constantly sounds like.
  Yes my dad is absent, but the presence of his shadow is constantly looming over me. Affecting my life every single day. His absence has left a permanent change to my brain chemistry. Yet despite all of the statistics and studies, I will not end up like the majority of fatherless children. You will not see me in juvy or addicted to pills. I will make it out. I will prove to myself that I am, I was, and always will be enough.
how many times can you beat a dead horse? Yes, we get it. Your dad left you when you were a kid. Well, didn't Groomer essentially abandon his kids too? Will he have poetry about how he was a no daddy?
Maybe he should consider private therapy to deal/revisit his issues and demons. I find it hard to be sympathetic to him because of his choices. I cringed when I read his sample poem, his music, and his last movie. He needs some PR career assistance to be less cringe. It's off-putting.
David's fans may throw shit at me, but I doubt David is still the boy his father abandoned as a child. I didn't like that David blamed his dead mother for his problems, but I doubt David is worried about his father's betrayal. In fact, David did exactly the same thing. He cheated for years, and then left his wife for sex with young girlfriends. David did not abandon his children, but he forced them to go through public humiliation because of his sexual addiction and continues to do so now. So David doesn't need therapy, he's a cynical and hypocritical man who can only be sympathized with by his fanatical fans.
DMC Questions Anon here!
"That day, if our positions were switched... Would our fates be different? Would I have your life, and you mine?"
While standing on top of the Qlipoth in DMC 5 Vergil posed a very interesting question that got many people wondering: How would the story of DMC go if Dante and Vergil's positions were switched?
That is what I am asking you now to answer. How does this story go in a world where their positions are switched?
I think I probably already half mentioned my theory on this somewhere, but this is my chance to write it fully.
Soooo... my whole starting point is Vergil being the mommy issues™️ twin and Dante being the daddy issues™️ twin (yeah it sounds silly, I know). So what if Vergil was the one in the house (that Eva hid in the closet) and Dante was the one outside, alone?
note: these are just my ideas and it's ok if you all don't agree or see it differently
I think Vergil's whole "I wanted to be protected and loved" and "my human side is weak" issues wouldn't be there, or at least they would be wayy lighter, as in this scenario Eva actually saves him
What about Dante? I think he would blame his father Sparda for this whole thing happening "If only Sparda were still here he could have protected us..." including their mother. I feel like Dante would understand that Eva was likely being attacked too and killed so it's not like she abandoned him, but Sparda? He disappeared in mysterious circumastances for what we know.
Not only that, but if he didn't have children and a wife at all, he wouldn't have put them in danger. In the mind of an angry child being brutally attacked, he could probably see his father as selfish for doing it.
I think he would become resentful of his father in this scenario, and that would become his "motivation". Motivation for what? I think he would try to close all "bridges" / "doors" between the human and demonic domains, to prevent cases such as his from happening again. A complete separation between the two worlds, no matter the cost.
And Vergil? I'm not sure, as I've been mainly thinking about Dante in this scenario. If I have to comapare him to Dante in the regular dmc universe... I think he would probably take up mercenary work (just like Dante did), but he would be more solitary and closed off, because that's just how he is personality wise. He would also have way more interest in knowledge about demons and Sparda, I can totally see him trying to have spare time to go in libraries and other places where he might gather information.
NNT Rewatch s2ep7-12 !!
(Still from my drafts! Just moved back to college yesterday and today and classes start tomorrow. Wish me luck! My schedule sucks this year so I'll need it lol)
man this is flying by!! but lucky me, the druids’ holy land arc is one of my favorites
King learning throughout this season that not only does he need the other Sins, but they need and love him is so sweet. I just love the character development they all go thru this season
draw him like one of your french girls ~~
Tumblr media
I love that Matrona has purple eyes like Diane, the small details really make it
I actually NEED to know what Monspeet and Meliodas’s relationship was prior to his betrayal. “I can’t believe HE’S the one who sensed us” ?? Whats that about🤨 also zeldris and monspeet seem to have been in good terms, like were they all friends?
I don’t know how its possible, but Monspeet’s voice is even hotter in spanish
I love that despite galand not being able to lie, they still don’t believe his stories lol
KAJSDKWUDFL I forgot how shocked i was with the reveal that Merlin stole Mel’s power i just love the druid training arc sm
theyre so silly i love them
Tumblr media
do we know why jenna and zaneri don’t have wings? are they just hidden with magic or something??
okie so apparently they’re just inhabiting human bodies and their real bodies had wings. found this on the wiki, do we know where the info comes from?
WAIT do jenna and zaneri know elizabeth?? Like KNOW her?
HAHAHA this part always destroys me
ngl the best thing seven deadly sins as an narrative does is portray the intense agony and trauma from mel and ellie’s curses
anyway... the fact that Meliodas and Zaratras were of equal rank when they met is kinda funny
the absolute horror on meliodas’s face when he hears liz is just PERFECT
liz is so slay she’s everything i want elizabeth liones to be
King: uhh hey jenna...🥺 what are you planning to have us do in there😓
Jenna: isnt it obvious??? 🤨 rigorous training 😤😤
the way they cut btwn scenes of meliodas abt to lose it and him and liz being happy is just so well done
I love that they were trying to get Meliodas to abandon his emotions to keep his rage in check and then when he actually has no emotions we find out that he’s straight up evil and much, MUCH worse than before lol
the tears pooling on their insanely pointy chins always gets me lol. but also mel just violently sobbing and then suddenly being fine. Mans has serious issues with repression that can def be drawn to his daddy issues
BAN/ZHIVAGO ARC😭😭😭 a few observations: Ban is very clearly influenced by Zhivago’s style, like the clothes are so similar, the fact that they sent Ban to Aberdeen prison and his favorite is Aberdeen ale makes me think he associates it with his dad, Zhivago was hot, Ban mirrors Zhivago’s words to him to Elaine, Zhivago tells Ban to never trust humans and the only humans he ends up trusting are Escanor and Jericho, zhivago has lived in misery about the deaths of his children for almost 40 years :(
idk why this is one of my fave arcs it’s literally just angst lol
gil and howzer as boyfriends. Discuss.
seeing gowther fight hand to hand is actually pretty cool, i had assumed he was weak like king but he can hold his own
how did king not clue in when galand literally opened with “Meliodas its been such a long time” like BABE CMON
BAN TELLING JERICHO SHE’S HIS WALLET 😭😭
meliodas just mocking king for his lack of wings is always funny. nothing like a dick joke to make you feel better after Zhivago’s death
I HAVE to do a meliodas self hatred/relationship to being a demon post, i have so many thots
I LOVE WHEN HE GOES TO SEE THE 10 COMMANDMENTS HES SO BADASS
monspeet shielding Derieri from the rocks with his cape🥺
melascula is so sassy i love her
estarossa is my deranged babygirl i love him. that fucking freak
I JUST KNOW TAIZOO AND THAT LITTLE TWINK ARE FUCKING
taizoo is a bottom.
meliodas somehow has 15 year old rizz. like the fucking blond boys.
(not so) fun fact: Elaine is my mom’s name so its a little weird
nakaba’s size kind seriously needs to be studied
ESCANORRRRRR
okie doke that’s it join us next time !!
I'm generally a person who thinks, 'I don't really have OCs', because I mostly don't go into depth with background and personalities and whatever. But I do have a fair amount of custom characters that I really like, and I do treat them as characters. I make characters, not just avatars for myself, for the most part - especially in mmos.
So I've never done this before, but here's a selection of my favourites:
Essay-length full description section below the cut ↓
ROW 1:
Archmage Tethris
Daddy. Tethris is my WoW Void Elf Arcane Mage. He's also the guy who made me realise, 'yeah, I'd be a Mage in any given fantasy world, wouldn't I'. He's become not only my default main in WoW, and the closest to 'avatar for myself' that I get in the game, but also my default go-to in many other games. Here is Elden Ring Tethris, for example:
Tumblr media
Tethris is a very rare example who actually does have lore. He was a professor of the Arcane in Silvermoon, who developed an obsession with the Void, and specifically finding a way to reach the Telogrus Rift. It got to the point where he was locking himself in his study, or traveling, not even seeing his wife and three children. Being fairly well-known and previously well-respected, this was noticed and he started to be thought of fairly negatively as an eccentric.
He did eventually discover the Rift, and a way to access it - which he did! But there was no way back. The other drawback being that in the process, he teleported not only himself, but his entire tower, and connected section of the academy. Luckily for other people, there was a large festival happening that day, so no-one else was taken with him.
Unfortunately for Tethris though, that meant he was trapped alone on some rocks in the Void, until he could find a way back. At least he had his study. He was there for 50 years. During that time, the whole events of Warcraft 3, and Vanilla to Legion WoW occured. He would've found a way back eventually, but it was actually the other elves, now known as the Void Elf faction, with Alleria Windrunner, who enabled him to return to Azeroth. He was there already.
The people who knew him in Silvermoon, including his familly had assumed he'd either killed himself when the tower 'exploded', or he'd simply abandoned them because the Void was all he cared about. He still hasn't reconnected with his children.
He has 2 daughters and a son. Eldessa the eldest is a Paladin, formerly a warrior with the Shattered Hand. Ithrien the son is the middle child. First an Eversong Ranger, then joined his sister in the Shattered Hand, then joined the Sunreavers during the events of Wrath, who he's been with since. He's the one who probably harbours the most resentment towards his father. The youngest is Vysira, and is also someone who is fairly shunned, or at least treated with distrust. She's the temperamental problem child. The main issue is that she was one of the Sunfury Arch Mages, who stayed loyal to Prince Kael'thas until the end. She only rejoined Silvermoon after his death, and those who did are treated as a distrusted lower class.
Tethris's 50 years of solitude, plus that amount of exposure to the Void have addled his mind somewhat, but his Archmage/Professor level of magical strengh, plus the arcane protections of his dwellings preserved his sanity and form for the most part. It did take him a few years though to reacclimatise to Azeroth, the vast changes to the world, and to remember his family. He now knows who his children are in the world, and has some leads on where to find them, but is hesitant. His wife however, sadly died when Arthas attacked Quel'Thalas.
Ella
Ella was my second, and favourite Fallout: New Vegas character. She's a 17 year-old girl, probably latin descent. Grew up as a rancher to the east of Nevada. Her parents were killed, and she learned to fend for herself, using what she knew from farming to become a traveling trader, then courier, only shortly before the events of New Vegas, because supplies for trade became an issue.
She's intelligent, savvy, headstrong, very stubborn, and very easily frustrated and angered. The start of the game fueled her with a lust for revenge, more than any sort of curiosity - that only came a bit later. She was also commonly frustrated with being treated with less respect than she deserved, because of her age.
When she reached Nipton, she found an undelivered set of (modded in) experimental Ranger armour in the first building. She tried it on, and it fit. It disguised her entirely, protected her heavily, and the helmet even included both night and thermal vision. This was the true turning point in her life. The armour gave her the confidence and technical advantages to immediately ambush the Legion forces in the town, and demolish them. She already knew she was a crack shot, but the ease that she took down those men who'd done that to a whole settlement, made her realise she could be a complete badass. So she became one.
The armour also largely fooled the NCR into thinking she was one of them, and she joined them for a while, before realising their own faults, and ultimately figuring out she had the power to take over Vegas herself, and the people would probaly be better off.
Rexi Nebrata
Rexi does not have lore. The essays are basically over. Rexi's just an omega cutie, and since I don't enjoy Final Fantasy XIV, I wish I could port her to other games. I'm so proud of her character customisation. I love her. Bae. White Mage btw.
ROW 2: (I guess this is the Green Alien Girl row. I didn't realise this was becoming a trend.)
Lizrima
Ah Lizrima. Doesn't she also look fucking great though. Boss-ass bitch. Lizrima was my first SWTOR character - my Sith Assassin. Very much a full Dark Side Sith, but is intelligent about it. I was open to picking the very rare light side choice if it made sense to her in a specific situation. Lana Beniko is her future wife, but I've never got further in SWTOR than part-way through Knights of the Fallen Empire. Her lightsaber is double-bladed, green with a black core - just like her. Oh yeah, and she's a former slave. Probably slaughtered her way to freedom one day, I forget if I thought more into it. Maybe that's why the Sith took notice. You can faintly see a scar under her eye, and there's a similar one on her chin, which is hidden by the uh, mask thing. Those are slave brands.
Nalya Va'a
Nalya is my Nautolan Jedi Guardian. Guardian is actually on my list of remaining Class stories to play through. She's only on Nar Shaddaa, so I haven't played her much at all. She's just a big cutie, and that's clearly enough for me.
Myntara Quil
I love her.
I love her so much. I did not know you could love an XCOM 2 character this much, but there she is. Also the nicest picture I've ever taken in XCOM 2.
I don't really need to say any more. Little green cutie who deals more damage than god, and has the movement distance of a high speed train. Tiny girl along for the ride becomes highest ranked XCOM member. Shotgun/Sword user with over 90 aim. 68 kills in 12 missions. Has Gaige from Borderlands 2's voice pack. Like, c'mon. I'm even really proud of her name, I think it's lovely, and really suits her. 💚
ROW 3: (the tiny WoW girl row)
Josie
Josie is a Goblin Assassination Rogue. Literally an assassin/bounty hunter, because I leveled her without quests. I mostly used the RareScanner addon to see where the Rare mobs are around the world, and traveled between them. Not only do they give a lot of XP, but a lot of them I didn't know about, and it took me to parts of the zones you wouldn't normally go to.
Named after a close friend, and is actually lore-friendly for a Goblin. I didn't expect a female Goblin Rogue to become my highest level Horde character, but she currently still is.
Tofie
Tofie's my gnome Priest. I actually used my level 100 boost on her that I got with Legion. She's who I used to run old dungeons and raids for a while for mounts - I unlocked my first rare mount on her, the Drake of the North Wind.
She's another orphan. I'm realising this is a trend. She was raised in Darnassus by the Night Elves and is the only Gnome Priestess of the Moon.
Bleeple
Isn't it fun that all 3 of these names are perfectly passable as Lore-friendly. Bleeple is....an orphan. She, however, was raised in Gadgetzan, mostly by Goblins. She is very much a Gobbo in Gnome form. She's a survival hunter, is bloodthirsty, and loves explosions a little too much. She was actually encouraged to go out into the world as a hunter to keep her away from the town, because she's too much of a liability. Too much of a liability...for Goblins. She's basically Gnome Gaige.
Her appearance is actually what peak performance looks like.
ROW 4:
Myrielle
Man I kind of miss Myrielle. It's a similar case to Ella, in that I can't access their saves. I have the saves, but they're completely reliant on a very specific set of numerous mods, and who knows what that mod selection was. So they're sadly stuck in my memories, and very few pictures.
Myrielle was the Skyrim character I played the most. She was a...
Tumblr media
...stealth archer.
But she was cool alright. She also used Gandalf's sword, and an ebony sheld. She was actually primarily a thief, that's what she started as on a core level. So she's the one I played through the whole Thieves' Guild questline on, which was the most enjoyable part of the game. She became a Nightingale. I loved Karliah so much I installed the mod that lets you have Karliah as a companion after the questline's over, and had her with me for the rest of time. That reminds me, I need to add Karliah to my 'voices I could listen to all day' list *chef's kiss*.
Literally everything about Myrielle's base appearance is modded.
Neha Shepard
Neha's the Shep I made for the Legendary Edition. I Just Think She's Neat™. I named her after the Dice Maker from Disco Elysium, who's already on the 'voices I could listen to every day' list.
Maxon Fen
Maxon. Dat boy. I just think I've done a nice job with my SWTOR characters alright? Maxon's my Smuggler.
I'm glad I went back to SWTOR and gave it yet another chance, after vowing in video compilation form to never play it again (that's a good video though). The Smuggler story was legitimately a fun time. Jedi Consular was also decent, but less fun, no real complaints. They didn't drive me up the wall with nonsense and frustration, so that's really the bar for me when it comes to SWTOR. Unfortunately, it's the ones that I recorded that really annoyed me, and not the others.
Anyway Maxon's a lad I guess. A dude.
