Cyberpunk AU where SJ tries to gaslight cybernetically enhanced YQY into thinking he’s an android that has to obey SJ.

Yue Qi volunteered for an experimental cybernetics treat program in an effort to become strong enough to save Shen Jiu, only for it to go horribly wrong. After enduring years of excruciating pain where the majority of his body was broken, replaced, and altered time and again, Yue Qingyuan comes out the other side a living weapon. His first action upon being declared stabilized is to run from the underground lab back into the light of day, rushing towards the compound he knows holds his Xiao Jiu, but all his newfound power is useless when he’s met with only the blackened steel skeletons of burned-out buildings. 

There is nothing for Yue Qingyuan to do but return to his… benefactor. He submits himself to his handler’s whims, but without Shen Jiu, there is no life left for Yue Qi, and less for Yue Qingyuan; while he is undeniably successful at his new job, Yue Qingyuan does not try terribly hard to preserve his own life. Eventually, that catches up with him. 

Shen Jiu and Wu Yanzi Yue Qingyuan bleeding out in an alley, even the most cutting edge technology unable to pump oxygens into Yue Qingyuan’s brain when he’s riddled with this many holes. Wu Yanzi is intent on striping Yue Qingyuan for ports, but Shen Jiu has a dozen different overwhelming emotions that he shoves into a little box, because whether out of spite of a desperate love, he knows he wants Yue Qi alive. He kills Wu Yanzi the moment his back is turned. 

Shen Jiu, himself full of jailbroken and fickle homemade cybernetics courtesy of his own shitty mentor, drags Yue Qingyuan back to his current make-shift lab and does his best to repair Yue Qingyuan with the eclectic and outdated parts he has on hand. He keeps Yue Qingyuan’s heart beating, but Shen Jiu is sure Yue Qingyuan sustained major brain damage from the prolonged lack of oxygen. When Yue Qingyuan comes to dazed and confused, Shen Jiu assumes he lost his memories and grabs the opportunity, telling Yue Qingyuan that he’s Shen Jiu’s android assistant, confined to the house (Shen Jiu for sure added some kind of digital electric fence/ankle bracelet that makes it so Yue Qingyuan can’t leave lol) and designed only to do Shen Jiu’s chores and fetch him tools or components. Yue Qingyuan doesn’t understand what’s going on and isn’t quite convinced this is real, but he isn’t going to question Shen Jiu. He’s happy to exist as an object following Shen Jiu’s orders 🥰

“My son, you will understand one day.”

Shen Jiu was styling little Shen Yuan's hair, tying it into a delicate bun. No hair was out of place, but it was a delicate hairstyle nonetheless and soft enough not to bother the toddler's sensitive head as he swung his feet back and forth humming a childish song. Shen Jiu knew it: his baby wasn't from that reality; he had appeared one day at his door without letting him make up his mind. One day he had opened the door and little Shen Yuan was standing in the doorway, watching him with his big black eyes with a finger placed in his mouth. He could not have been more than two years old.

Shen Jiu had decided to take him in because he still had a premonition that the little guy would not leave so easily.

He had taken him in his arms and tried to figure out what the baby boy wanted from him. Clearly, Shen Yuan spoke really badly back in the day and babbled just a few words, which Shen Qingqiu could barely understand anyway. He had never particularly liked children and did not think he was skilled in communicating with them. But somehow, Shen Jiu had managed to understand him, and he was surprised by the way the child seemed to know him and predict accurately what was about to happen in the short term.

He may not have been good at taking care of children, but he recognized that letting the young Shen Yuan wander around like nothing in that world going to reveal details of what would happen in the future could be a big trouble. Therefore, he had decided to take him into his house, and he soon found out that the child's name was “Yuan” and that he had peculiar ways of doing things. It had not been hard for someone like Shen Jiu to understand that he had nothing to do with the locals, but for some reason Shen Qingqiu did not feel like getting him into trouble.

At first the baby ran and hid from him, as if he feared him and was afraid of his reactions. Shen Qingqiu did not understand this: he was the one who had shown up at his door after all. But then, slowly, he had gained his trust and approached him. Shen Yuan had begun to cling to him, and Shen Jiu had grown fond of the little creature who hugged his legs after sticking his tongue out at people he could not stand.

Eventually, he had given him his last name and started carrying him around everywhere, promising that when he grew up, he would make him his disciple and take care of him.

Now, his child was four years old and had made his life much brighter. Shen Jiu was worried, what would happen if someone hurt him? He could not allow that.

He had decided to keep almost everyone away from him, to prevent anyone from hurting him. He had raised him in a glass bell. Perhaps it might have seemed unfair, but the world knew how to be cruel, and he would not forgive himself if his little boy burned because of it.

“You will understand why I protect you and will not allow certain things.”

Shen Jiu patted the child's head with his fingertips. A-Yuan was looking at him with the most innocent smile he could have on his face. At that moment, maybe he didn't even mind having to spend all his time with his father, but growing up, who knew?

Perhaps he was just making excuses because he was afraid of losing a son he never wanted, but whom he could no longer leave behind. Who would have thought that one day he would get so soft over a defenceless little creature?

Where were you when PIDW needed you most

In the ashes of Cang Qiong, beneath the ruins of the Bamboo House, there remains one single unburnt scrap of paper — a letter from Mu Qingfang, begging Shen Qingqiu to just pick up his goddamn meds.

SVSSS AU/Fic prompt where trial happens as soon as SQQ trial ends (with old palace master sentencing him to water prion with no real evidence LQH and other peak lords were easy to wage war) system is like 'trial is over as Shen Qingqiu no longer has prominent role host is no longer needed' as all SQQ does in PIDW is endure LBH torture so system 'rewards' SY by ejecting him back to his world.

SQQ body is just husk alive biologically but no soul.

Everyone is freaking out LBH end the old palace master. He'd been ready to anyway so he could amend SQQ sentence and just have him stay in Huan Hua palace with him, but now that plans gone since his Shizun's soul has been pulled from his body.

SQH tries to convince himself it's the mushroom body only he knows deep down it wasn't he asks his system and yep SY is back in their world. Everyone is freaking out to the extreme and SQH manged convey in another world can't tell you more but please go find him before you destroy this entire world...please.

LBH and other peak lords use Xin Mo and do find real world'

SY ended up back in body alive... only there's 2 of him. Him and SJ both looking like SY... he would be freaking out if he wasn't grieving that world and LBH... he's glad not being tortured but he misses the other..a lot. He keeps staring at all the LBH merch (not hard since it's everywhere) SJ does criticize him...when he's not reading PIDW and commenting on it with a hate only equal to SY.

(Within the other world SQH feels a sense of great dread but does not know why, he just clings tighter to MBJ)
