Yeah haha. Technically his full name is Night Hunter, Bringer of Darkness, but it feels so weirdly formal calling him that, so I usually stick to just Night.

Why would you do that??? Being a tortie is so cool, I wish I had ginger patches! They're so pretty, why do you want to get rid of them???

Like. I know cis male tortoiseshells exist but they're so rare that most cats take one look at me and go "oh, tortie, must be a girl" and that hurts.

I can't be the only one here who thinks it's unfair to allow kittypets on this site. Posting pictures of themselves and their mates inside of the twolegplace, influencing the young kits on this site to abandon their Clans... surely everyone else sees the problem with this as well.
This is Clanblr, not "Kittypetblr". This was specifically made as a space for Clan cats to connect, not for kittypets to push their lifestyle on us.
They're going to convince our kits to abandon their home and their belief in StarClan just for a more secure life.
#EXACTLY #I only recently found out ex-tc Kipper was a kittypet #it was so upsetting to me because i've always loved his wood-scratch art #to find out he's a clan-abandoner was so saddening

The recent drama surrounding Kipper the Kittypet is sad and I hate that he's being bashed just for existing, but it's also incredibly stupid. I believe the cat who wrote the original post said something like, "it's CLANblr, not KITTYPETblr," and then something about belief in StarClan and I just... do you even realize how many Clanblr mods are non-Clan and/or don't believe in StarClan?
To name a few, @s-t-a-r-burning is former WindClan now rogue & openly an atheist, @theshadowhaseyes has been a kittypet his whole life, and @ssuunnrraayy-p has made zir entire blog about how ze travels from one Clan to another & doesnt consider zimself a Clan cat. Those are all mods. "It's clanblr no-" shut up. Just shut up.

I think a lot of cats put way too much emphasis on the parts of the warrior code that dont matter, and forget the parts that do, like "feed elders and kits first" and "never neglect a kit in pain or danger"... I feel like those are significantly more important than "a warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet," but maybe that's just me.

I mean, seriously. I know it's taught to all SkyClan apprentices, but I've talked to some of my friends from other Clans and they just. Didn't know that. They were never taught that the other Clans allowed SkyClan to be chased out due to territory loss.

Yay! More lore!
They in fact cannot! Leadership is a lifelong commitment in Loudclan. Maybe they could sacrifice all but one of their lives and then just live as a normal warrior, or step down while keeping their lives, but the next leader wouldn't be able to receive their lives until the former leader was fully dead. Same goes for the Lead Healer. When they receive their lives they give up their "normal" life and become inextricably linked to Starclan/The Black Water and that's not something that can be undone.
Yes! Exactly like that! They have to die to see starclan the 1st time, this costs them their "mortal" life, so when they come back they are using their first "divine" life. When they sacrifice a life to speak to starclan they must die again in order to give the current life back, as opposed to giving up the chance of using a future life. This does mean that everytime they come back they come back slightly...different. Nothing major, they're still the same person, just like a different iteration of them. Maybe their favorite prey is different, or their dominant paw changes, minor things that no one but their closest friends and family would notice, but the leader rarely seems to notice the change.
This is going to be very vague, and I apologize for that, but if I was ever to explore one of the other clans in a blog it would be Freezingclan, so I don't want to say anything too definitively and lock myself into something I haven't fully thought out. But the answer is that no one from the other clans really knows? Freezingclan is weird, they've existed longer than all of the other clans, in fact longer than anyone can really remember, and they only decided to take the clan naming system for the ease of everyone else. They meet at gatherings and are generally quite friendly and shockingly generous, but they don't discuss their religious practices with the other clans too much, because it usually only results in confusion and fear. What I can tell you is that Freezingclan's ancestors don't go to the Black Water Pool with the rest of Starclan, as they've never been seen there and Freezingclan predates the discovery of the oil. Based on the logic of why Starclan lives in the oil (it's a pocket of eternal night) it would make sense for Freezingclan's ancestors to live in the depths of the ocean, but since their leaders don't receive lives there's really no way to prove it. It's equally possible that their ancestors just stop existing when they die and that makes the rest of the clans VERY uncomfortable so they've just stopped asking for the most part. Freezingclan certainly believes that they can communicate with them, leaving offerings of prey and herbs on the shore in exchange for plentiful hunts or healthy kits, and their Healers often slip into trances where they speak in strange languages, but no one can agree whether they are just faking it or not.
Okay, so, a lot of this ask touches on stuff that I want to cover later in backstory drops for the founders, but, I'll try to answer everything I can without spoiling anything for that! Wildfirecry is the only one who came from another Clan, he was a healer in Forestclan, which eventually collapsed, leaving him on his own. He met Fiercestripe along the way, she joined up with him, and they made their way to the valley territories. Meanwhile Owlstar and Siltsplash were born and raised in the valley. Generations of rogues, descended from kittypets who were abandoned when the mine closed, lived and died across the valley, of which Owlstar and Siltsplash were two. Owlstar was sort of a folk-hero amongst the rogues, so when he and Wildfirecry got together and decided to form a clan, many others followed. Owlstar asked the studious and strict young Siltsplash to help him keep the clan in line, and they excitedly accepted, becoming his mate and deputy. The mountain was chosen because they were seeing signs of an especially harsh winter, and it's one of the few places where the wind keeps the snow from piling several feet high. Shadedclan and Ghostclan formed for similar reasons, only they disagreed about where they should go to escape the deep snows. They absolutely did leave behind people that they miss/feel deeply guilty for leaving, but those are details for a later post!

Mantisclanās First 33 Moons
Meet Mantisclan! A small clan, formed relatively recently and currently in the shadow of its much larger sister clans, Snailclan and Cricketclan, Mantisclan prides itself on its piousness and devotion to Starclan. Their territory encompasses a wooded area on the border of a twoleg settlement that is split down the middle between the three clans.
Want to know what happened to Mantisclan in the first 33 moons of the story? Keep reading to find out!
Moons 0-10
On the very first moon, Briarmoth, Mantisclanās deputy, got his paw stuck in a twoleg trap! The very next moon the fierce cat succumbed to his injuries and was mourned by his clanmates and appreciated for his devotion to Mantisclan.
In the wake of his death, Quietstar and Bonespeckle would spend a lot of time together reminiscing about Briarmoth and eventually made it official- they were mates! In a show of love and trust between the two cats, Quietstar appointed Bonespeckle as the new deputy of Mantisclan.
On moon three, Mousekit became Mousepaw! He is apprenticed to Quietstar- being so close to the leader makes him nervous, should he bring up the strange dreams heās been having? ā¦Best not to. Itās not like anyone would care anyway. On his first patrol as an apprentice, Mousepaw finds the quickly cooling body of a young, abandoned kit. Saying a short prayer, the patrol buries the small cat and continues on. Mousepaw canāt help but feel this was a bad omen.
On moon four, Mousepaw was bitten by a snake, and succumbed to the venom. As he takes his last breath he takes solace in the fact that at least now the dreams will stop and he will wake up among the stars.
Mousepaw is distraught after being sent to the Place of No Stars. Why was he sent there? Surely this doesnāt have anything to do with the dreams that have been plaguing the tom?
On moon seven Quietstar and Bonespeckle find a single abandoned kit that they decide to adopt together, naming her Sunkit.
Lots of things happened on moon ten!
Bonespeckle agreed to venture with Dovewhisker out onto a frozen pond. Bonespeckle went first while Dovewhisker hung back. Bonespeckle slid around playfully, taunting the other cat to chase her.
She was about to launch another teasing remark when the ice cracked below her paws. Dovewhisker lingered to make sure she didn't surface before running back to camp with a yowl. He had never liked Bonespeckle, and the fact he needed her out of the way in order to access the deputy position was just a pleasant coincidence. Besides, the dreams heād been having lately of the late Mousepaw had been urging him to do something about Bonespeckle.
Larkshade and Quietstar fall into a deep grief, having lost a friend and a lover respectively. After many nights spent mourning her mate, Quietstar finally appoints a new second-in-command.
Dovewhisker.
In her grief-stricken recklessness, Larkshade fought a rogue, and while she drove the trespasser away, she needed to be rushed to the medicine den afterwards.
Moons 11-20
On moon twelve, Quietstar and Larkshade leaned on each other to lessen their shared grief and slowly start moving forward again. A new addition also joins the clan in the form of Bluesky, an abandoned kittypet.
On moon thirteen, Larkshade just couldnāt fight her wounds any more and succumbed to her injuries. As she makes her way to Starclan, she takes solace in the fact that she will be reunited with Bonespeckle and Briarmoth.
Sunkit also becomes Sunpaw! And Quietstar couldnāt be prouder as she assigns the cat she trusts the most to teach her daughter. Dovewhisker.
On moon seventeen, another new cat joins the clan! This time bringing with her three kittens. Meet Breeze (Echokit, Locustkit and Branchkit not pictured)
On moon nineteen, Sunpaw becomes Sunsap and injures her leg in a twoleg trap, causing Quietstar to panic. She canāt lose another cat like this. Not again.
On moon twenty, after a long struggle with greencough, Quietstar succumbs, losing a life to the disease. Facing death has a different effect on every cat. For Quietstar, they have now realised that she-cat no longer describes them. They are much happier now, feeling as though they have a new lease on life.
Echokit refuses once again to go out and play, his joints swollen and painful. Itās becoming clear this is not an isolated instance, and Echokit might need some help. He is diagnosed by Blisseyes with chronic joint pain.
Moons 21-33
The very next moon, his sister is diagnosed with persistent headaches. The chronic illness siblings!
On moon twenty two, Sunsapās mangled leg is looking much better and seems to have healed well. Quietstar is extremely relieved.
Another queen joins the clan on this moon! Meet Fumble (Thistlekit, Tadpolekit and Ospreykit not pictured).
On moon twenty three, Breezeās kits became apprentices! Meet Locustpaw, Echpaw and Branchpaw.
Along with the rank-ups, a new loner joined the clan!
On moon twenty five Perditofog joins the clan with her kits (Stemkit and Magnoliakit, not pictured)
During moon twenty seven, an apprentice from Snailclan defected to join Mantisclan. The very next moon she graduated, earning the name Mumblecrackle.
During moon twenty eight Fumbleās litter became apprentices! Meet Tadpolepaw, Thistlepaw and Ospreypaw.
The next moon, Breezeās kits became warriors, earning the names Locustpond, Branchheart and Echodapple.
On moon thirty, Dovewhiskerās tail healed from a previous run-in with a dog but was left permanently scarred. Deciding to retire due to his growing age and the fact he could influence the clan just as well as a respected senior, he moves to the elderās den.
Bluesky is appointed deputy in his place.
While on patrol, Quietstar, Tadpolepaw, Echodapple, Peter Pangrove and Branchheart hear desperate screams coming from a nearby lake. Upon seeing the twoleg and the screeching bag they are holding, Echodapple just can't take it. He jumps into action without waiting for the rest of the patrol to back him up and he pays the price. Grabbed by the scruff and thrown hard onto the floor, the only thing the rest of the patrol can do is grab Echodapple and flee back to the safety of Mantisclan. Echodapple suffers serious head injuries.
On moon thirty one the Perditofog kits become apprentices! Meet Stempaw and Magnoliapaw.
Also this moon, Sunsap fought a big dog and was seriously injured.
Now youāre all caught up!

Controversial take but I saw the post and gotta say I agree with Berryheart not being the big bad villain everyone thinks she is. She is very protective of her kits for good reason after Darktail happened, and the loss of one of her kits makes it worse.
āMany cats died, including my own daughter, Needletail. I mourn her every day, and regret that I didn't do more to save her. So many cats were killed, in fact, that our whole Clan's way of life almost collapsed and disappeared into nothing. You almost missed being raised as a Clan cat. If Tigerheart hadn't found us near the abandoned Twoleg den where we were sheltering, we would still be living there as rogues. And we were there because I followed Darktail away from ShadowClan. It was the worst decision I ever made, and I'll never stop regretting it. That evil cat did his best to destroy our Clan, and he took the thing most precious to me. I can't let that happen again. I'll protect ShadowClan with my last breath!" āLeaving my Clan to follow Darktail was the biggest mistake I ever made. It means everything to me that I am now a true ShadowClan warrior, and it frightens me to think that I might be in danger of losing that.ā
āThis is a mother protecting her young. Protecting her family. Something I wasn't able to do. Our Clan, our daughter...maybe our whole forest...Darktail has taken everything. And what can we do to stop him? Nothing.l
Quotes from her right from the books. She literally is grieving and suffers thinking she couldāve done more to help her kits. She didnāt intend to kill Fringewhisker, she just wanted to drive her away so that her son doesnāt go too far away from her where she canāt protect him if he goes with his new mate. Sunbeam already left her. Itās destroying her. Xenophobia, yeah I can see that, but what warrior cat isnāt xenophobic? Are we forgetting when Clan cats hated other Clans and call them stereotypical things or saying stuff like ānever trust ShadowClanā āThunderClan celebrates mixed bloodā? How about the xenophobia to kittypets? People hate her for being a protective mom and thatās misogyny at best. Berryheart killed nobody. Berryheart just wants her family safe, and has to do it the way she is because otherwise she could lose what she has left. Iām happy she has a supportive mate because not a lot of cats have that. If anything, she opposes the protagonist, but she isnāt 100% a villain. She turned to Splashtail because she wants order and a place where she can keep her kits safe. Sheās very misunderstood and misogyny is still prevalent in this fandom.

<< Return to Moon 13 interlude
Grangeclanās camp! The camp is found at the edge of the old farm, abandoned now for years. More under the cut!
āAs all the dens are dug into the ground, they can be expanded with the needs of the clan. The clearing itself had been trampled so many times over the years that no grass grew inside of it
āThe prey pile and storage is connected to the nursery and cleric den. This is for easy access to food and other supplies, without needing to head to the surface. It keeps the kits and the sick out of the way of the hawks
ā The nursery and the elderās den are the closest into the center, for better guarding
āThe leaderās mound was created many years ago. The den is below it. All announcements come from atop the mound.
āIn recent years, there has been an effort to repair the fence. Itās a work in process. Eventually, Finchstar wants to collect enough chicken wire to cover the top of the camp and protect from hawks
āAs their camp is situated in the old farm, near the current farmlands, many of Grangeclanās warriors are Daylight Warriors. They have easy access to kittypet food for trade, and many have secondary names as barn cats

Do you think we could get a rundown of Skyclan leaders like you did for Shadowclan? From when the destruction of their forest territory started to when Skyclan broke up?
It would be a pretty short list, because of the massive interruption.
Leaders Flystar -> Cloudstar -> Spiderstar -> (RATS WE'RE RATS WE'RE THE RATS) -> Leafstar
Clerics Twigtail -> Fawnstep -> Brackenheart -> Oakstep -> (Unnamed Link) -> Pricklenose -> Skywatcher
You'll notice that the Cleric list doesn't have an interruption; that is because the Cleric took the role we eventually see Skywatcher in. They called them the Hub, after the center of a spiderweb. It was someone who would keep track of where all the dispersed cats were and pass on relevant news.
Modern Clerics evolving out of the Hub is why SkyClan's medics are so strange. They have some massive differences from a Forest Four Cleric.
There is no law against them having children. In fact, it's preferred that they did, as it's proof that they know how to care for other cats.
They can have mates, too. Echosong is actually casually the girlfriend of Leafstar.
They act more like a combined doctor/therapist than a doctor/priest. SkyClan clerics are here to treat physical and mental needs. Instead, the leader takes on more spiritual roles.
Anyway, leader succession guide;
Flystar
The destruction of the territory was happening before he was leader, but he took over when it started getting real bad in the Skyfall Era.
He was a HARDCORE kind of loyalist leader. We would know him today as a Hard Traditionalist, insisted his warriors pray harder and live better lives to prevent the destruction.
He invented the Law of the Wild, which we know as the law that bans becoming a kittypet. He did this in response to many of his warriors trying to live double lives.
Lived for a very long time, and oversaw the worst of the destruction, but Forest Four remember the story completely wrong.
The story is told that Flystar forestalled disaster with his hard ways, but Cloudstar was a weak, bumbling successor, who is ultimately blamed for SkyClan's exile.
In truth, Flystar died and left Cloudstar as a young successor. Cloudstar hadn't lost a single life or ruled for more than a year when the last acre of forest was clear-cut.
Flystar was a brown cat with black dapples on his face and chest.
Cloudstar
Gets done so, so dirty in the Forest Four history lessons. I have an entire scene dedicated to Firestar realizing that the story sounds pretty fucked up in Firestar's Quietus.
His first deputy was Buzzardtail, who was his best friend. They tried to keep the Clan together, wandering for years while looking for a new home.
In terms of personality, Cloudstar was a total worrywart. He was always preparing for the worst, and his ingenuity saved a ton of lives. He cared a lot for safety and making sure the travelers were procuring rations.
It still wasn't enough. He was a fantastic leader, soft, caring, beyond dedicated to his friends and family. Cats still died.
He was constantly missing his mate, Birdsong, and his kittens. He was notoriously amazing with the kits, often carrying them when they got too tired.
He was a big guy, too.
Displays the same vitiligo as Skystar and has a striking resemblance to him. Definitely a direct descendant.
His blotches loosely resembled an eye on his side, which ended up becoming... that.
Spiderstar
No Buzzardstar in BB. Buzzardtail died during the very long journey.
But Spiderflight knew him very well. He was her mentor.
Cloudstar died in the abandoned barn where the rats would eventually gather, every night.
Spiderflight had spent most of her life traveling, most of SkyClan had. She did not remember the old forest, just the general stretch of land that would become their Gorge territory.
She only knew what had been taken from her in stories. Kit's tales, to her, she'd been born on the move and that was where her heart was.
She picked up a lot from Cloudstar's resourcefulness. She'd always been close to the leadership, ever since she was young. Slotting into the role was easy.
Cloudstar never wanted to leave such a young successor, as Flystar had done to him, but he had no choice in the end.
She'd never been "good" at sadness. She didn't want to sit vigil in that barn with everyone else; it was too easy to give into despair if she didn't keep moving.
It was Spiderstar who settled SkyClan into the area, and she was the first Hub really. She just happened to teach Oakstep how to do it next.
Important since she only got three lives.
She had distinctive web-like stripes on her tabby body, a large "cape" over her shoulder of two big spokes connected by smaller strokes.

Did a Clangen thing! Meet Wildcatclan! And yes, I chose them bc of their name. Also ignore how I switched to pronouns halfway through instead of Tom/she-cat
Wildcatclan is described as The Efficient and Pleasant, so many of them are very kind souls! Though some, like Shadowstar, lean more into the "efficient" role and think that pleasantries should be saved for after everything is done and over with.
Brief descriptions:
Shadowstar- Mates with Beestorm, father of Applepaw and Copperpaw. Strict, but is lenient with his children. Probably why Applepaw is so energetic and carefree.
Juniperwhisker- Mates with Rookstone. Step-mom of Greypaw. Juniperwhisker is the deputy, and is kind to many, but she doesn't talk much. She's mostly concerned with making sure everything is in working order, and does it herself if need be.
Cootface- A lynx. Aroace. Was originally meant to be the "muscle" of the clan until she decided she'd prefer not to fight, and instead help her clan in a different way. Nobody objected, because the medicine cat was getting older and older anyway.
Starlingfang- Sarcastic. He, Sootstream and Blackstorm are the youngest warriors, all having been trained around the same time. Younger brother of Shadowstar.
Sootstream & Blackstorm- Always seem to know what you, and your eachother, are thinking. Sootstream is more talkative and Blackstorm listens to it all.
Cormorantstorm- Rookstone's younger sister. She's quiet, and often jumpy around others. Nobody quite knows why, but she always seems to be frantically listening and looking.
Skipperpaw- A former kittypet whom was dumped on the outside of the territory as a kitten. Upon being found, she was taken in immediately and raised alongside Copperpaw and Applepaw.
Goldenpaw- Another kitten dumped at the edge of the territory. He and Skipperpaw are friends and relate to each other over this aspect. It's suspected he was abandoned because the family couldn't afford to keep him. He was around 3 moons at the time and wasn't raised by any particular cat.
Greypaw- A salty young cat who always speaks her mind. Always. It's concerning how many times she's gotten in trouble for speaking without a filter. It's not that she means to be rude, but she thinks if something's obvious, she'll point it out. "Beestorm, are you sure you're not expecting?"... She was the first to guess and got reprimanded by Starlingfang for asking a rude question- that is, until Beestorm interrupted and confirmed it.
Copperpaw- She's always working. Running around and doing things. If Juniperwhisker needs help, she's there. It's truly a good thing that's her mentor. Juniperwhisker always appreciates the help and is considered an aunt figure to her.
Chanterellepaw- One day, he and Campionfoot arrived, and never left. After a recent flooding in the area, many cats were left stranded and alone. Shadowstar was eager to accept any newcomers he could. Nobody really knows where he found a kit and an elder, but they'll take it!
Applepaw- If you ever hear loud mewing from the woods or exciting chirping, it's most likely Applepaw. She is the most excitable of the clan and is constantly bouncing around. Shadowstar doesn't even try to give her stuff to do anymore. He knows she'll finish it quickly and go right back to racing around so what's the point?
Rookstone- After her mate, a rogue, had left her during her first litter's pregnancy, Rookstone was devastated and spent many nights simply lying in her nest with her tail wrapped tightly around her. Many warriors noticed, but it was Juniperwhisker who popped up and began talking to her. It was the most any cat had ever heard her speak, and whatever it was worked, because by nightfall, Rookstone was giggling like a young apprentice again and Juniperwhisker was puffed up proudly. Over the next few moons, Juniperwhisker was always there to help her when she was feeling down and the two grew closer, soon learning they had lots in common. Once Greykit came around, Rookstone was sure of it as she watched Juniperwhisker play with her kit. She was head over paws in love.
Beestorm- a complicated cat. She's not the kindest, but nor is she cruel. She likes to go with the flow, see where the tides take her- and, well, they took her to Shadowstar. Nobody really knows if the two actually are in love after all these moons, but neither have backed out yet, so it's safe to say they're sticking together.
Campionfoot- A washed up Tom found by Shadowstar and invited to join Wildcatclan along with his grandson, Chanterelle. He took the chance quickly. He wasn't willing to risk wandering for a moon or so just to find a stable home when there was one right in front of him! And while he's old, he still helps out around camp and is often a medicine assistant for Cootface.
Asterwhisker- Asterwhisker is the father of Rookstone and beloved by many. Always cracking jokes and pulling pranks- some aren't sure he's as old as he says he is, because he doesn't seem to have graying fur or becoming thinner. The Tom simply seems young as can be- and he always says his trick is a full night's sleep.
Squirrelcloud- always getting headaches and constantly being irritated by anything around him, many consider Squirrelcloud to be the most sour and he's often the one the warriors use to threaten the younger cats. "You don't wanna have to go and check Squirrelcloud for ticks, now do you?" And while he knows he's got a sharp tongue, he truly does want company. It's just hard to ask someone to simply sit with you and not talk.
Fennelheart- The oldest cat in the clan. Despite being blind and slowly going deaf, Fennelheart is always the first to volunteer for hunting patrols and never seems to falter in her step. It's an ongoing belief that the day she starts her retirement is the day the clan starves. Fennelheart always giggles as she hears this theory and finds it hilarious.

the backgrounds of all the Lucentclan founders! I wanted to post this before I did Sparkstars' leader ceremony, so some of what I wrote makes more sense. I put it under the cut because it got pretty long
Also, our starclan guides sprite since I haven't drawn her yet!
Shardfoam, the starclan guide, was a mediator of Newtstars old clan before she died during a particularly cold leaf-bare, getting lost in a snow storm. This was many moons before Newtstar was lost, but when he was, she managed to leave their starclans hunting grounds to follow him. She sent him messages about starting anew and encouraged him in the directions that he'd need to go to meet his future clanmates.
Newtstar, previously Newtwhisker, was in another clan before he had formed Lucentclan.
He was a fairly experienced warrior, but while on patrol he was chased off the territory by dogs and was captured by two-legs. Newtwhisker traveled a long way with the two-legs as a kittypet inside of a strange, traveling den. He was mostly kept indoors so he wasn't able to escape until one day the two-legs were bringing in items and he was able to dart out the front door.
He quickly realized that there was no hope of finding his old home. He found a place to sleep for the night and was sent a message from a familiar but distant cat that he needed to form his own clan. Newtwhisker awakens with a new determination.
The first cat he had met was Spark, a rogue who was living between the forest, two-leg place, and nearby beach. He was half starved and barely scraping by when they met, not being used to taking care of himself. Spark was originally just giving him her scraps and overall being cold. on a cold leaf-fall night, they huddled together for warmth (Spark less willing than Newt). Somehow they ended up on the topic of Newtwhiskers clan and he proposes Spark join him and they form a group together. At first Spark was adamantly against it but after spending almost 3 moons with Newt and helping him learn, she grew fond of the tom and agreed.
The next cats they meet are Violet and Pepper, both kittypets to the same two-leg. Spark is the one who invites them to their makeshift camp, Newt was hesitant to take on kittypets, but knew they didnt really have a choice and agreed once he saw how determined the two were.
Quail was a loner, old and unable to hunt for himself anymore that Newtstar met while looking for a permanent place to call home. He invites the elder to come join their clan, in exchange for the older cats wisdom.
Rippleclaw was a medicine cat from a nearby clan. He was given a vision of Lucentclan and wanted to become their medicine cat, the clan he was from was prospering and had a new apprentice and experienced medcat that could take over his place. He left on good terms, his clan knew that this is what Rippleclaw needed. He was the one to find the starpool, lead by Shardfoam.
and finally, Sablekit was an abandoned stray wandering around a two-leg campground. He was found by Newtstar and Pepperflare who took him in and named him.

Meet Ravenstar. Sheās a medium-sized she-cat who falls in love easily.
Ravenstar is a strong believer in StarClan and the warrior codeāso much so that she would violently punish other cats as AntClanās deputy. Because of this, she was exiled.
She lived near Twolegs for many moons, telling tales of her greatness to the kittypets.
When the storm hit and the Twolegs fled, Ravenstar gathered a group of abandoned kittypets. She felt a surge of happiness, once again leading a group of cats, confident that StarClan would guide them. Thankfully, she was right.
Ravenstar was granted nine lives by her former leader, becoming the first leader of GhostClan.
Over the course of the year, she fell in love with two cats: Slumber and Orion. Orion, her grumpy deputy, often needed cheering up, and Ravenstar made it her mission to defend him and lift his spirits.

lmao were these massive time jumps incredibly jarring for anyone else??
l don't need to retread every step of the main series, but going from ramping up his crumbling relationship/new rivalry with Firestar and then suddenly quick jump to "OK firestar is now dead, some other guy is leader now" post OotS was???? huh??? there has got to be a smoother way to move through the timeline
Like. ok. ok fine, I get it, the writing team has made it clear that this book revolves around Darktail. Darktail is the opening of the story and also the climax it builds to. They have chosen to make Darktail representative of Where It All Started Going Wrong for ol' Onestar. Disappointing but ok, that's the biggest through line in this book, that's where they are going to keep returning the focus. I want to try to judge the story for what it is rather than what I wish it had been about.
but. Surely Firestar could be part of this theme? why does he need to be brushed out of the book so unceremoniously??? Onestar has been trying to ease his guilt by justifying to himself that kittypets are doomed in the clans. Frankly Firestar's very existence is a threat to this very flimsy argument he uses as a shield from the guilt. It could easily factor into how quickly and viciously Onestar turned against him....since insecurity drives so many of his actions. I don't know. I think you could do something with that.
Mind you I Do Not think Onestar needs an extra reasoning like this to explain his quick turn against Firestar---but if the writing team is so disinterested in any aspect of Onestar's turmoil that doesn't somehow tie back to Smoke-Darktail-abandonment-guilt....like idk it's better than just throwing his relationship with Firestar off screen and moving on like it was a minor note in Onestar's leadership life! that is so insane to me
I can't believe I'm sitting here like "I wish Firestar had a bigger role meddling in this new book" but this is the one time I think it could have been warranted
also why did they choose something petty like "Onestar didn't ground Crowfeather for talking to Leafpool" as the representation for The Thing that truly cemented their broken friendship.....very weird choice

Hail, True Body Warriors AU
Gonna do this as bullets of random information I have gathered since tying everything together into a cohesive storyline is something Iāll battle when I feel conscious.
- Mimics are dark forest warriors, specifically those who have nearly faded away complete as theyāre easier to control and influence as compared to the ambition fueled fresh ones. They are able to be led into a living cats dreams through the help of a Starclan cat(Morningstar/Lucifer in this case), where they kill the cat in their dream, and use it to swap places with them and wake up in their body instead.
-Cedarlily/Markās grandfather is the current leader of Thunderclan, with Copperstrike/Cian being deputy. This is kind of the reason he was given the suffix he has, as he was seen as lesser then the other apprentices as he grew, and was cursed to have the suffix of a flower as compared to the other more fierce names of his fellow warriors. He usually tries to keep his name hidden from as many people as possible, opting instead for Cedarfang when he can.
-Morningstar is a Starclan cat, he was given this blessing due to the fact that in his life, despite his technical crimes, he never once believed he was breaking the warrior code, and was completely in the thought that he was doing good for the clans. Basically got the Mudclaw treatment, damned bastard. Completely guiltless so now hes allowed in cat heaven.
-Badgersight/Sam was Thunderclanās previous medicine cat, until he was exiled for breaking the warrior code due to a vision he had recieved from Starclan. He spends his time living around the territory, bouncing from place to place as to not ever be caught. This also helps him keep his Thunderclan scent and not be confused for a full rogue, which would warrant an investigation.
-Azreal has the same name, as he is a kittypet
-Appletuft/Adam was a kit found abandoned on Shadowclan territory, and subsequently adopted into it. He was lucky to have already been mostly weaned, as no queen wanted to take him for more then a week due to his aggressive behavior towards his āsiblingsā. Heās a bit of a Cuckoo in that way, a creature of the outside doomed to remove resources from the home that fosters them, all before the others, and completely in favor of itself. Despite how his aggression made the clan have a very deep distaste for him, he was a perfect warrior. Addershine/Eve is his current mate.
-On the outskirts of all territories there is a rogue, fur a deep non-reflective black. He comes and goes as he pleases and no one has ever stopped him. If asked for a name, he only says Nobody. Elders like to scare the kits with the story, how heās an omen, a warning of horrors soon to come. Cedarkit never believed them.
-Briarcloud/Bethany was a fierce warrior, who had the unfortunate habit of wandering. Itās how she discovered a kittypet and Shadowclan warrior having peaceful conversation on the edge of the latters territory. She was intrigued the moment she saw it.
-Robinwind/Cesar didnāt just die when he was killed, but something worse. For a clan cat to die in the midst of the Place With No Stars was an after life sentenced to pain and misery, of being trapped lost in this horrible place of pain, cursed to always walk alone along the thistles and blood. Itās easy to become lost in a place with no end. Starclan keeps itās borders well hidden from itās dark siblings.

š Give me the drama!
Drama, eh? How about the tragedy that is Dustpelt's mother?
Mild trigger warning for xenophobia.
I split up Robinwing's kittens amongst others. Frostfur and Chestnutwing are their only children, though she does give some help to Brindleface and Whitestorm both for a small amount of time. All Queens helped out with Brindlekit and Whitekit though. Brindlekit's mother abandoned Thunderclan after giving birth and never said who the father was, and no one claimed her. Longtail was born to Patchpelt still, but now his mother is an OC named Bluebellfur. This successfully shatters one of the problems that Robinwing, Fuzzypelt and Patchpelt caused.
As for Dustpelt, Cherrypaw and Ravenpaw? They are now the kittens that belong to Grayflower.
Grayflower is a skinny gray and cream/dilute tortoiseshell molly with purple eyes. She had her kits Honor Sired by Featherwhisker. They had NO relationship, she just wanted a Thunderclan Sire and Featherwhisker gave a thumbs up as long as she didn't involve him. He ain't a father.
She appears first during Bluestar's Prophecy as a young apprentice, trained by Fuzzypelt, and is one of the (many) cats egging on Thistlepaw. Yeah! Let's ruin those soggy fish munching freaks! Sure I'll show you a good spot where you can beat the snot out of an innocent kittypet, they're not truly cats, after all.
Yeah... if Featherwhisker knew how nasty she could be, I don't think he would have Honor Sired.
She was a TOUGH lady. Awful habits aside, nothing EVER fazed Grayflower. Ever. Cucumber trick would not have worked, kitty is unshakable.
As for her family, one would be SHOCKED to know that her parents are Tawnyspots and a brilliant cat known as Flypelt. Sadly, Flypelt passed in childbirth, leaving Tawnyspots alone with Graykit and Thrushkit. Where Thrushkit would become Thrushpelt, a proto-Fire Law supporter, his sister Grayflower would become a proto-Tiger Law supporter. A HARD Codeist.
However, oddly enough... She was a very loving mother. She held Cherrykit, Dustkit and Ravenkit close, amused when Ravenkit showed purple eyes like hers. She loved them so much, telling the three all the time how proud she was, making sure to hunt for them when she could to get their favorite prey - Robin. She even made a request to Bluestar to hold Ravenkit back for a while, her son too nervous to leave the nursery just yet.
She was the mother that would leave kind notes in your lunchbag, pack cool bandaids in her purse whenever you scraped your knee and tell you you're being so, so brave when she uses the antiseptic spray. Grayflower would make sure you eat your veggies and use your manners and help you if you needed it.
But she would then go online and rant about 'filthy' outsiders posing a threat, and cats with "outside blood" should be thrown out of the Clans, and no one could ever hope to be as holy or pure as a "Proper Thunderclan cat".
Her death comes swiftly in WCR!Into The Wild, she dies in the same battle Lionheart is killed in. Her throat is slashed by a Shadowclan cat, she's dead before she even hits the ground. Firepaw didn't like her, but when he sees how it effects her 3 kids, he understands that while she wasn't kind in any way towards him, she was still loved.
Cherryshine hides away in the warriors den, holding a small gift that Grayflower made for her, a wooden figure. Dustpaw goes from snarky and rude to just... Closed off completely. No one can get him to talk for several days. Ravenpaw clings to Graypaw and Firepaw harder for a while, having even more nightmares...
Her impact is felt harder in her death. Dustpelt had always wanted to be like her, and when he grows up he realizes just how horrific her ideals had been. Cherryshine had started to reject her ideals as an apprentice, but it never meant she didn't love her mother, never wanted to see her get better.
Ravenpaw though? Oooh, that's the juicy one.
Ravenpaw's Farewell is about grief, loss, and how people we lose can still have effect on us, even years down the line. Ravenpaw visits the graves of cats he knew regularly, the ones that haven't been paved over for an almost completely unused road. Grayflower's grave is included. He has... Some feelings about her.
When Tigerclaw had started to blame him for all the bad things happening in Thunderclan, would she have believed him? She would have died for her kids, but she would have died for Tigerstar's plans too. She believed Tigerclaw's every word... Had she loved Ravenpaw enough?
She would love who Barley is, he's funny, strong, and always up for a quick hunting session or a fun wrestle.
But she would hate what Barley is, so, so much. She hated all outsiders, especially clanless cats.
Would she hate him too?

Warriors au where it takes place in a post apocalyptic world where there are very few humans left, and those that survive live in small makeshift communities.
Some species of animals have grown in intelligence and are now at human level intelligence (this could be bec of whatever caused the apocalypse or something).
One said species is cats! Most now live in their own comiunities, or are trying to survive on their own (loners). Some cats however choose to still stay by humans, enjoying their company and protection. Many humans will still help feed cats, though the cats can also hunt the rodents around and in human settlements.
The Clans live close by a human settlement which is on the outskirts of an abandoned city (where bloodclan lives). The clans are basically the same in their ways of life but they are now in their iron age! They have their own weapons, tools, and are able to make buildings! They can even grow their own herbs!
The books can start with Rusty being a 6 month old cat born in the human settlement, he yerns for a life in the woods surviving in a community of cats rather than the simple, much less exiting life he lives now. And that's like pretty all that has to change, the plot of the books can stay mostly the same just with it being post apocalypse with more fun technology advancements! The clans, instead of hating house cats, hate outsiders and cats who take up "cushy" lives around humans! They call them Kittypets bec to the clans these cats choose to continue being pets when they are more than that.
In the second arc the clans could be run from their home by a larger group of humans (or other animals?) migrating to their home and taking over their land! Pretty much just like canon! Maybe this time cats can actually talk to humans? And the humans r just like "F u cat we r taking over this forest, u are just vermin" or something...
I could be tempted to add something like this to RoC but doing so would mean a lot of lore changes and designing lots of tools and weapons for the Orders which sounds fun, but also like a lot of work lol.

been a minute but Iām back with some OCs: on the left is Brackenheart and on the right is Deathclaw - theyāre best friendos :3
Bracken is a quiet lil sweetie who grew up in a clan where everyone around her teased her for her size and never wanted to do anything with her for fear sheād get them killed somehow
Deathclaw is a big bad former kittypet who was neglected by his twolegs and eventually abandoned: many are scared of him due to his vicious hate of kittypets and dangerous temperament, but he can actually be quite the Good Samaritan once he learns to trust someone
I kinda rushed Bracken so she looks a lil wonky but I captured her kind, adorable essence pretty well I think

Did some of those Opposite of Canon WC character prompts. Some Lore for them under the read more
Dandy / Dandeliontail, Opposite of Darktail
Born to Smoke and Onestar. Onestar decided to take him in when Smoke's two-legs abandoned both of them
Very kind and hardworking but extraordinarily squeamish, always feeling like an outsider intruding in despite being relatively well-liked.
Despite many offers from Smoke, he refused to leave Windclan, feeling loyal to his clan and wanting to prove to them that his father didn't make a mistake in bringing him in.
Saved his father from drowning after he hit his head during a violent flood. He nearly died and the experience traumatized him causing him to disclose how he truly felt to his dad.
He left Windclan on amicable terms and returned to being a kittypet under the name of Dandy.
Brightstar , Opposite of Bluestar
A Riverclan leader not fondly remembered by history for her inaction against Brokenstar and her treacherous deputy Lynxfang.
Would have been a better leader in less tumultuous times but her fear of making mistakes like her predecessors and enemy Thornfang stopped her.
She died with many regrets, personal regrets such as not allowing herself to fall in love with Timberheart and Leadership regrets like not fighting against Brokenstar taking her territory.
Cypressshine , Opposite of Willowshine
Passionate and bright, she loved everything about being a medicine cat from healing to interpreting omens.
It all changed when she gained her full name, she became sullen and withdrawn, no longer believing in Starclan.
Her mentor had a crisis of faith after Hawkfrost confessed his manipulation of signs and used that as blackmail against her. However, Cypresspaw had inspired her to regain that faith in Starclan and dig herself out of that dark time, something she was extraordinarily proud of Cypresspaw for doing.
After being named Cypressshine, Mothwing privately disclosed to her what had happened with Hawkfrost and how much Cypressshine meant to her.
Cypressshine was devastated that Starclan would allow such a thing to happen to her mentor. That a rogue in clan pelt could be allowed by her ancestors to do that and cause so much suffering without intervention.
Outraged, she denounced Starclan on the spot, only wanting to heal and refusing to engage with the Moonpool. Disgusted with Starclan's actions.
Brighstar was the first one I did and you can tell i got tired of the opposite names thing SUPER FAST lol.
Funfacts while drawing these guys:
Brighstar's design was inspired by me taking official art of bluestar and putting it through a color inverter
Dandy has vitiligo
I went on the wood database, saw Willow was a hardwood so I looked up a softwood as a counterpart. I know super creative of me
