My unpopular Marauders opinion is that Remus did love Tonks in a romantic way. It wasn’t a ‘lavender marriage’ or anything like that. He was bisexual and loved her to pieces, and Teddy was the result of that love. I don’t think that takes away from the fact that he loved Sirius too.

I don't think Andromeda's rebellion was loud, like Sirius'. Not really.

I think Andromeda was a Black through and through. Her parent's pride: Slytherin, prefect, first of the class. She followed the rules, and she knew what her name entailed.

Andromeda Black used to scorn at muggleborns, to mumble stray "mudblood"s when the occasion was fit.

That's how her and Teddy first met. He and his Hufflepuff friends tripped with her, her books fell on the floor, just like a meetcute. But Andromeda didn't blush, she didn't feel like the protagonist of a romance movie.

She saw red. This careless Hufflepuffs had ruined her books, there was spilled ink all over her pages, and, worst of all, there wasn't a single pureblood amongst them.

Maybe she had already been having a bad day. Maybe, in any other situation she wouldn't have reacted, she would have been prideful.

But she cursed them out. She let out a long string of slurs that weren't even in use, a "this is what happens when they let fucking impure thieves into our school", etcetera, etcetera.

And she got a book to the face. Square, right in the middle.

Ted Tonks, one of the Hufflepuffs in the group, had grown tired of her racist rant, and had decided to put an end to it. The muggle way.

Hell ensued: Andromeda brought out her wand and started cursing. Ted charged at her with his bare hands (he was trying to prove a point). The rest of the Hufflepuffs scattered.

The teachers didn't take too long before they arrived and separated them, but Andromeda Black already had a black eye, and Ted Tonks had some ugly, bloody gashes where her curses had landed.

And they were forced to do Detention together.

They couldn't stand each other, from that point onwards. Until Andromeda started changing.

I don't think Andromeda's rebellion was loud. I think it was slow. I think she had to unlearn everything her parents had taught her, and I think at first she wasn't willing. But she was, eventually.

And she did change. She became better.

it's not a coincidence i chose yeji for andromeda and hyunjin for sirius (if u don't know, these two are by no means related in real life but they look so much alike and they even share the same last name, so they could be lost siblings). i do think that andy and sirius looked alike and that's what made them even more fond of each other, the fcs were sent by the gods themselves

idk why im in such a bad mood rn but it actually PISSES ME TF OFF how the entire marauders fandom collectively decided to take this bum-ass loser character with one discernable impact on the storyline (regulus. im talking about regulus) and make him a super complex, three-dimensional MAIN character in the era that’s being literally paired with JAMES POTTER(???) when they could’ve taken a character who AREADY has existing complexities and everything they could ever want and develop them. but they won’t because that character is a fucking woman ☠️☠️

the way the black sisters would have the entire fandom in a fucking chokehold if they were boys. do you actually think sirius and regulus would be as cherished as they are now if they were women? hell fucking no, regulus would be hated on so badly. the way we were given narcissa and fucking andromeda too? here’s the entire fandom yapping on and on about how cool regulus is for rebelling against the dark lord when narcissa was doing it and fucking getting away with it too (because she’s better and doesn’t suck ass). here’s andromeda going against her entire bloodline ON HER OWN but yet shes still so overshadowed by sirius (who literally came after her). then you got bellatrix who is canonly one of the most powerful (and cuntiest) witches in the hp-verse and you decide to go and develop BARTY instead. think about it. they’re both crazy except one is more of a loser and is a male so of course the fandom will choose him.

and then. of course. lily evans who is literally the mother of the entire verse itself is still out here fighting for literal recognition and development from the fandom. and those mfs still give it to regulus instead ☠️☠️

I think Bellatrix was the one to kill Ted Tonks, as revenge for “stealing” and “corrupting” her sister. I believe Andromeda leaving hurt her more than anyone realized and she had always wanted to kill Ted so when Voldemort took over Snatchers were told to bring him in alive.

This is supported by the fact that Dean and Griphook, who were traveling with him, were being held prisoner at Malfoy Manor instead of in Azkaban like most of the people caught by Snatchers.

I think we, as a fandom, should show more appreciation for Nymphadora Tonks. Her character is one of the most intriguing and fun to explore, especially with her unique metamorphmagus abilities. Plus, she’s so clearly queer-coded—it’s hard not to see her as canonically genderfluid.

But beyond her individuality, there’s her fascinating family dynamic. People often overlook that Tonks is also a Black, and there’s so much depth in exploring her life with Andromeda and Ted, as well as how her heritage shapes her identity.

She was a member of the Order of the Phoenix, a fierce fighter, and a devoted mother, even though she barely had time with Teddy. Tonks was an extraordinary character who deserves far more love and recognition for everything she was and stood for.

i feel like the black brothers get so much attention in the fandom compared to the black sisters, so here are some headcanons i have!

andy and bella in particular. people would often mistake them for twins, to which they would giggle and play along

cissa hated this so much, because she didn’t look like them and she just wasn’t as close with them

she felt like she didn’t look enough like a black and was a disappointment for it

she even tried to dye it, but she still didn’t look right

there were some rumors about her true parentage, considering she looked nothing like the rest of her family

bella shot these down and threatened anywho me who dared to speak ill of her sweet baby sister

she was always very protective and kind to both of her sisters

she considered andy’s elopement the ultimate betrayal

they had been slowly growing apart anyway, but that solidified it

narcissa saw what happened when andy dared to follow her heart, so she shoved hers away and cut out the only person who it would ever belong to (alice)

she found lucius kind of repulsive, but he was a safe and secure husband

draco was the first thing that gave her life meaning since alice

when nymphadora was born, narcissa went to visit and meet her

bellatrix did not

narcissa loved both regulus and sirius equally

andromeda loved regulus a little less

bellattix loved sirius a lot less

bellatrix never wanted to marry

she wanted power, and marriage was essentially handing over her sovereignty

she refused to become a mother. it was her worst nightmare

she drank a potion that would make her infertile. she never told a soul and everyone assumed her barrenness was a terrible misfortune

it was one of the only choices she ever made for herself

she felt guilty about it for the rest of her because she felt she had disgraced her family with her selfishness

narcissa’s biggest hope was to become a mother, but sex with a man repulsed her

she considered asking lucius if they could do it a different way, but she decided it wasn't worth it

draco’s conception was the only time she ever slept with him

it was worth it, for a child

andromeda always wanted to have more kids, but she actually had a hard time getting pregnant

nymphadora was sort of a miracle baby

andromeda ended up the happiest of them all, but the abscence of her sisters left a hole in her heart

narcissa was happy enough, but she always regretted losing the two best people in her life, alice and andromeda

bellatrix was just…insane. there was nothing tying her down because she would never let anybody matter to her. andromeda, who had mattered the most to her, betrayed her and hurt her

she wouldn’t let it happen again, so she kept everyone at arms length. that combined with her time in azkaban drove her mad.

they all regretted the way things were left between them, but none of them knew how to fix it, so they never tried.
