Check it out! These are my grandparents!

My grandpa fought in WWII and stole nazi clock pieces from the streets to hand-build all SIX clocks that still ring out in our house every hour. He was a soldier and a wood-worker who never got his high-school diploma but made an amazing life for himself and his family. He’s in a museum, actually, as one of the few survivors of one of the most dangerous battles in WWII, and he received a purple heart for his service.

My grandma was a typist/secretary who traveled the world with him during his time in the military after getting her Bachelors Degree (!!!!! In the mid 1900’s!!!) . They met on a blind date not long after the war was through, and they were married sixty-seven years. She’s the epitome of etiquette and an amazing hostess! She has two daughters, one born in Austria and one in the U.S., and I’m their only grand-child.

You might be thinking, “Artsekey, what’s this all about? This isn’t the usual content!”

Well, I’ll tell you what it’s all about! My grandmother just celebrated her 100th Birthday! She’s been alive since 1923! The same year the radio became commercially available!!!

She’s amazing, and I’d like everyone to know it!

Some (hopefully) unique animal ideas!

Ferrets (I've been studying up on them for a while bc I've been wanting to get ferrets as pets, so I'm 100% projecting)

Binturong (also known as the bearcat. They live in trees, have prehensile tails and look like koalas with an edgy color palette. They're great!)

Wolverine/Honey Badger/Any other kind of badger (I just love them. They're oddly-intelligent and usually fairly committed to their partners!)

Dingo/Striped Hyena/Maned Wolf/Any other wild canine (Every sanctuary needs a good doggo. I'm partial to the striped hyena and maned wolf (especially the maned wolf, since I believe it's the tallest in the canidae family))

Seals!/Or otters (Doggies of the water! I want them to interact with the crocodile!)

Cassowary/Secretary Bird/Bird of Paradise (every good sanctuary needs a bird of some kind. It could be a pidgeon, idk)

Wild boars, chipmunk, komodo dragon, bear, pufferfish... (idk, just hoping this helps for variety :>)

I'm picturing the sanctuary to be in a humid, temperate rainforest, so my ideas are heavily biased. Look up what some of these lil' guys look like if you don't know any them already!

I don't expect you to use all of these or anything, but I'm hoping they help you out somehow <3

This list is so cool! I think I would love to see more wild dogs in this AU! Like hyenas, jackals, coyotes, etc. we have quite a lot of wild cats, but not a lot of wild dogs besides the thought of Wolf! Arlecchino 🤔

Besides needing more wild dog hybrids for the sanctuary, I would also love to see some birds of paradise, some reptiles, and perhaps a badger because I can’t stop thinking about that one mockumentary about the honey badger. (Iykyk)

I would love to see the Vet trying to deal with a violent ass honey badger hybrid that acts like the boss of the entire sanctuary. I think it’d be so funny to see how she’d handle such an aggressive animal who doesn’t give a shit about anything and does their own thing 😅

also i feel like fearne jumping in was really sweet because. she doesn’t want the fuckin shard. she clearly could not care less about it. she jumped in because she was the only one in the group who had something that could maybe help ashton, and when it completely did not, she tried something else, completely off the cuff, and it worked! they tried to hand her the shard after getting out, trying to see if she would take to it, and she decided she didn’t like it because it burned her hand. meanwhile ashton’s taken like 22 points of fire damage because he’s so determined to keep it near him. ashton wants that damn shard. fearne doesn’t. but she went in after him anyway. because she was the only one who could. and i am just so :’^) fearne calloway the woman that you are

Thinking about tubbos connection with the weather and nature, thinking about Elena

So I have two headcanons or, I don’t know what to call them it’s 2 am give me a break

1. Tubbo was Elena’s partner, a promising young federation employee who had bright things ahead of him.

Who started developing powers. He tries to hide them at first, and Elena catches him, sees the weather shift with his mood. They work together to try and ‘fix him’ but nothing works. And his powers go haywire and hurt a worker.

Suddenly chains are being wrapped around his wrists and Elena does nothing but watch in tears as he was put into the cell.

As he banged on the door and begged for help, she couldn’t help. And his body and mind froze. Forced to try again with a clean slate

2. Elena was assigned to experiment on an odd shapeshifting teenager who could manipulate the weather…sometimes. If he tried hard enough.

She starts to get used to him. As part of the experiments were checking on his mood to see how it impacted the weather around him. She spent a lot of time listening to him ramble

And she grew to like him, seeing potential for a great engineer or scientist. Until she was too close

And she watches as they escort him away, he looks over his shoulder, his eyes wide with fear. The cuffs they locked around his wrists too tight to even struggle, a collar sitting heavy around his neck.

And it takes Elena to coax him into the cell, and he knows what it’ll do, he feels his body freeze. He feels his memories washed away over time.

And the last thing he forgets is her face

Anyways—

So I’ve been listening to the Circe Saga in Epic the Musical for a while, I actually got the idea of giving Bloody and Harvest magic out of it, but that wasn’t enough, I had to go further

So now they are the God of Sorcery or something, look I’m just having fun here—

K, so they have an island to themselves, and they have a lot of magic and are cool, and they look after nymphs and stuff, and they turn anyone who tries bothering them into pigs. I think the Ancient Greek setting would change their backstory a bit but not by much, they probably wouldn’t almost die, but y’know, they’ve still had to deal with shitty stuff, which would actually lead to even more motivation on their end to protect those they care for. They have flower tattoos around their legs because I kinda just felt like drawing flowers and I’m pretty sure that that flower in specific represents strength and healing, and it also helps with insomnia I think. As for the scorpion imagery I chose it because of a kinda joke that’s supposed to be in the au where they choose to have a different day as their birthday and Bloody wants to be a Scorpio because scorpions are cool, and I looked up the symbolism and there’s some rebirth and life//death and change stuff which I think fits them (I am actively choosing to ignore the other potential symbolism, please don’t look it up I’m so sorry my boys 😭) And I like to think they’d use shadow and ice magic because of 1) conquer your fears /literal and 2) as a treatment for their overheating problem

I really like this silly variant, they’re cool

Oh and, uh, about ‘There are other ways’, uhm
