When it's year four and you don't even enjoy the festivals anymore but not going to them means making the townspeople sad so you keep going to them even though you NEVER beat Abigail in the stupid Egg Festival and there is only so much fun one can have beating Pierre every year in the Stardew Valley Fair and festivals are ALWAYS on the days when your luck is best and you're spending them dancing with the same person at the Flower Dance three years running

For those who don't know, that outfit and pose actually is Anatole's from The Great Comet of 1812. Why give this look to Sun? Because when that mf Anatole isn't being a bastard scoundrel he acts/sings so amazingly, a bit fruity, and unhinged.

GIVE ME CROSSOVERS OR GIVE ME DEATH

Honestly I just like imagining the goobers as the people singing when I listen to music sometimes and this just fit so perfectly. Moon would be Pierre and istg it works so well-

The shading was a bit hard because I was trying to use yellow light on a yellow goober, but then I added the blue light and it was smooth sailing from there.

Thank y'all for looking! I feel like not a lot of people know the musical online (or I'm just oblivious) so I feel like I just threw a flashbang into an unsuspecting crowd.

My favorite songs are Letters, Charming, and Pierre & Anatole, they're all pretty story heavy but I love it. (The Ball definitely has the most unhinged Anatole, though the wording can be a bit yikes a few times.)

There's something special about Moon being the only side of the DCA who has canonically (gameverse) voiced his counterpart's name ("No more Sun", which yes it's not him directly saying Sun's name since it's a figure of speech, but still) whereas Sun - the chatterbox - only refers to Moon via "he" or "other me". Moon, the quiet one who mostly laughs vs Sun who mostly uses words. Sun, who is scared of Moon, never utters his name whereas Moon clearly has no problem with it. Both of them using "we☀️/us🌙" prior to Eclipse. Moon, whose only opinion of Sun we can infer is "the other me trapped me in light so now I trap him in shadow", vs Sun's whole thing which is profoundly more fleshed out.

I don't know man, the "no more Sun" line always did things to me. I remember playing Ruin for the first time and getting this... jarring emotion when I heard Moon saying that. It's such a small line but good god did I latch onto it.

#the way i don't even HAVE to go to uni bc it's a lecture that doesn't have mandatory attendance #however i MUST go bc if i go it'll still be more time efficient #than if i get my friend's secret recordings of the lecture and work through it afterwards #out of previous experience i know that doing it later will take me forever and i'll have to do it at home #where i'll have even less motivation to sit down and do uni work #so it's better to go sit in a lecture for 1.5h and try taking as many notes as possible without a break #sighhhh #airenyah plappert #thk #adrm

Thought I'd work on a rendered Moon drawing since Sun got one! This is like the 3rd attempt for me to get a good pose, but it's safe to say I'm happy with this one enough to share. Though this one isn't in reference to any scene, it's just good ol' Moon :)

Sorry for the bad image quality btw! I work on a drawing tablet but I don't have Internet where I'm currently living, so shitty phone pics and phone data is the only way i'm able to share atm...

(I'll post the finished render when done - if I ever find a way to get the quality image on my phone or once I get back to the college dorms 😭)
