not only is he shaking, but you can hear how scarred he was in his voice. while he did succeed in his mission, there were still things he 'failed' during it even though there wasn't a choice. plus, he saw imu and barely escaped the gorosei. he is shaken up by that day

and not to make things worse or anything... (as i think about this a lot and did mention it before...) imagine sabo checking luffy's vivre card and helplessly watching it burn away. when he swore- /vowed/ to be by his brother's side no matter where he was. but all is good cause luffy's alive !!

still, despite the mission's success, he couldn't do what he wanted. he couldn't save cobra and he watched lulusia disappear. he's badly injured yet when he returned, he smiles and laughs as he is happily welcomed in arms.

and mind you, sabo Is an emotional person. he was raging when he saw kuma's state during the start of reverie. and as i looked back at chapter 1085, he screams out cobra's name as he watches him die...

imagine how sabo feels in that very moment. how he feels watching someone he wanted to save die in front of him. even though cobra told him not to, sabo tried anyway but couldnt. like how he couldnt protect his brothers because he didnt remember them until it was too late

Everyone figures out what he's doing pretty fast but he keeps doing it because Alastor and Lucifer seem to have made it a competition to try and get each other to say the most embarrassing shit and neither of them will back down

The worst song he's gotten them to sing along to is Daisy by Ashnikko

This left multiple people dead, even more people traumatized, and got Angels music privileges restricted (in his defense he really thought this one would stump them)

He does feel kinda bad for Charlie but the horrified looks of Vaggie and Husks faces make everything worth it

An interesting little fun thing with team 7 is that you assume that Sakura's gonna, like, woobify and simplify Sasuke by putting him on a pedastal,cause her goal is centered around him and shes a 12 y/o fangirl so like of course her understanding of him is skewed cause she doesnt see him as a person, just an object of affection, right? She's can't get Sasuke, can't imprint on and/or traumabond with him like Naruto and Kakashi do. They don't see him with rose tinted glasses, because they've lived through their own Horrors and empathize with Sasuke's experience.

WRONG lmao!! They have too many ghosts!! Naruto's single-minded codependent ass won't get out of his own way long enough to see Sasuke for who he actually is, only able to empathize with the parts of his trauma Naruto relates to and not really capable of understanding him outside of the context of himself (because Sasuke is. His other half). And Kakashi is far too jaded to be fair to him!! He can't decide if Sasuke is gonna end up as a mini-him or a mini-Obito or maybe a mini-Itachi, but either way he ALSO is too traumatized to see Sasuke AS SASUKE.

as a child, even if it's now hard to recall, till is sure that he once knew the love of being alive. he was sure that the sky, however gloomy and war torn, still held stars with twinkling promise between the glaze of smoke clouds and billowing darkness. he was sure that the touch of his mother's hand, however unsure and unsteady, had whispers of better days to come and nights to spend in greater company. he was sure that they'd be saved, whatever that meant, or that maybe things could be fine just lasting as it was indefinitely.

if till's being honest, that's the sole reason he thinks of mizi so highly. after the stars stopped twinkle and he stopped finding signs of brighter moments to come, it was like the world ceased to be kind, as if love could hear the hope drain from his soul and ran away in response. then, there's mizi, who still has the love of being alive.

metaphorically, till would describe each person by their rib cage, because it surrounds their heart and that's important, isn't it? he'd say that the bones in his rib cage are all wrapped and woven of individual stems from dandelions already blown away, because the seeds would rise in the wind and carry with them a sacred wish by the sender. this was a baseless theory, just a hypothetical, but it made sense in till's wandering mind. he'd run out of wishes, and he bet mizi's rib cage was full of dandelion puffs or the yellow of the flower's petals in bloom, so that was the distinction between them; time, wishes, love.

sua's chest was probably stuffed by lilacs, perfectly purple ones, because those would compliment mizi best. till knew that they were inseparable, after all, so it made sense that they'd match. plus, from the way they interacted, it was always sua giving worship to make mizi seem far above. the clutter of flowers surrounding sua's rib cage would be discreet, twisted with a handful of white lilies too.

on the contrary to the colourful insides of everyone else, there was ivan. till never thought he'd be plain, but he couldn't really understand the mere expressions of ivan, so how was he supposed to gage the grasp of the rib cage? he truly wanted to, but ivan's eyes were so starkly pillars of the smoke clouds and billowing darkness, holding no promise and wavering hopes; ivan was simply the truth, unflinching, yet somehow endlessly elusive.

what does till think of that? how could he rank ivan anywhere in comparison to anyone when none of that is decipherable in the first place? till is sure he could tear ivan's heart out and eat it without ever knowing the answer or the reason that ivan looks at him in those ways.

(and no one asked, but ivan thinks his heart would be covered by black roses painted red by the blood, and he thinks he'd be happy to let till hold it as it drips, while it beats its last drop of unloved life)

as of now, till can see the sky glitch. he is sure that no one is watching, therefore, there are no more whispers of fleeting hope. he is sure, that to be saved, is to be freed. he is also sure that there is no such thing as freedom, only escape, until even that becomes limited. till also knows that mizi loves the stars of the artificial night, and sua is the dawn that returns that light to her eyes. till is sure that he'll never be sure about ivan, and that much will have to be enough, even if the world owes them more time, wishes, love.

ya know at first i thought your episode 18 posts were a little harsh but then i really thought about it and yeah. i actually agree with you on pretty much all of it. in my opinion one of the most frustrating parts of d20 is watching the intrepid heroes fail to put all the pieces together, and seeing that manifest as a slaughter fest against the rat grinders is disappointing. don’t get me wrong, i understand that we as the audience have a birds eye view and an easier time threading the story together. but still, kinda sucks :/

lumping all of these together because the rushed feeling of the season is definitely there and contributed to how the final conflict is just resolved via battle and not alternative means... I think there were several factors at play here. I'm still holding out hope for the final final episode but:

the way they filmed all of FHJY and its APs together in a very short timespan. FHSY is so developed and interesting plotwise and I feel that HAS to be because they got a whole week in between episodes/streams to sit and think about the information they received. (on that note I feel when APs are filmed directly after the episodes instead of in retrospective, there's very little to say or reflect on since you Just got out of the session and everything you have to say was likely already said during the play session.) the crunch filming + episode limit combo is just not good for health or coming to a satisfying conclusion of all narrative threads

dnd combat is just so inherently fucked as a conflict resolution tool and it's NOT built for anything aside from killing things. we see this firsthand how the rat grinders get reduced to their kits and not their characters (take oisin out first, cut off his head so he can't be revived) both by the cast and the fandom... which leads to some pretty upsetting conflict when you have people who really enjoy these characters as, well, characters and not targets with hit points!

we have GOTTA get one season that doesn't end directly with a final battle. please. we've gotta have one that does a big reveal, an episode to sit with that reveal, a final battle, and then a whole other roleplay episode after that battle to finish off the season. we cannot be doing 15 minute epilogues directly after coming off 4 hrs of dnd combat that is how we get neverafter and whatever the acoc finale was (adding FHJY finale to the list? I'm still holding out for the last episode to give us anything at all. bad kids being under influence of rage all battle reveal? please?)

It's really frustrating being trans sometimes with cis loved ones because other cis people will go, "oh but it's such a huge adjustment for them! They're grieving for your pre-transition self/they aren't used to the change yet/it's hard on them!"

It's just so frustrating that people forget that trans people's feelings on this matter, too. Cis people aren't the only ones who have adjustments to make. Frankly, as much as I sympathize with cis people in this position, I can't help but be really jaded about it because so often, cis people jump to the defense of other cis people and they will seemingly forget to or refuse to give the same grace to trans people.
