fuck you, I like you [un-cheateds my cheated]
Tumblr media
YEAH. THIS IS THE SAME GUY AS THIS.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
RAZOR. RAZOR WHEN I GET YOU WHEN I FUCKING GET YOU-
at this point I don't know if cheated or thorn is the wife in the relationship. cheathorn yuri fuck it
also you might be wondering why his wings are open here when I don't normally draw the voices like that. well the thing about the right eye being covered is kinda meant to symbolise how their perspectives are always limited by what they are. the wings are shaped in relation to the voices' beings and their beliefs, right? and it is this very thing that clouds their judgement, and prevents them from seeing what is truly right. in the end they can only see what's left behind for them, so their left eyes remain visible.
but 1. I wanted to show off cheated's freaky ass eye socket
2. he's not 'cheated' yet there. he's just a dude.

If I ever come across as a Nancy anti I promise I’m not, she’s one of my favorite of the older teens and I love her, but when I’m talking about characters like Mike and Jonathan, some of their main conflicts are the result of her stubbornness/inability to recognize when she’s wrong
#stranger things#nancy wheeler#mike wheeler#Jonathan byers#like. the wheeler family dynamics are forever and I think will always be fucked up#and jancy-as it is being shown right now- is not a good endgame for either character#this also isn’t saying Jonathan and mike have done no wrong bc….#looks around#but I am saying that because I love Nancy so much I can appreciate her character flaws and what she is supposed to represent#for each character she is mainly linked with#that being mike Jonathan Steve Robin and Max (as of runaway max/s4)#funny thing about her conflicts they all revolve around sexism and misogyny but through a really White Rich Woman viewpoint#and bc she’s dealt with so much misogyny she often jumps to call others out on it even when there are different contributors#(the s3 madwheeler fight over El)#not to say mike wasn’t sexist that season bc he was#but that fight was not about el being his gf bc Lucas was also worried abt her safety and Dustin would have been too if he were there#they were the only two that saw what happened last time El pushed herself and it caused mike to ‘go crazy’ lowk#but back to nance- it’s because I love her and understand that she’s more than just ‘gun girl’ or ‘stancy love triangle victim’#that I can criticize her#because most of the reasons people don’t like her are plain misogyny!! and they don’t realize her character motivations and why she’s#Like That#Sib relationship is diff. but the ‘being a bitch to Robin/leading on Steve thing’ people are saying#just do not Get Her character and how often she (like her brother) confuses romantic and platonic feelings#bc the Robin thing was more her being wary to make a new friend (her last 2 DIED) but she projected it as jealousy over Steve bc that means#she doesn’t have to address the Barb/Fred trauma !!#and she wasn’t leading on Steve by making eye contact with him- she was ‘caught up in the moment’ bc she associates Steve with#‘guy you date to forget about dead bsf’#which isn’t Steve’s fault BUT#the stancy break up was#he literally told her to forget about her best friend dying to be ‘normal teenagers’

Taking the current topic as an excuse to ask you to tell me all the reasons you love Rarijack. Your art for the ship is so sweet and intimate I'd love to hear any in depth thoughts you have.
Breathes in.
I think what makes their dynamic really strong is that they have opposing personalities but aligned values. It's deeper than just "opposites attract." Rarity's fancy, prissy, and femme while Applejack's modest, rough, and "masculine." But both value hard work (to the point of being workaholics), their families (both have guardianship over their little sisters), running successful businesses, and eventually each other. Their relationship can be boiled down to, "Despite our differences/disagreements, I still like you because we value the same things."
We see their relationship develop so much. In the first season, they can't stop bickering about surface-level differences. By season four, they still bicker, but will mend their relationship because they can't help but do nice things for each other. In Trade Ya, they start off arguing over personality differences (Applejack likes old junk and Rarity likes useless crap). Then they pivot and start arguing that they value their relationship more than the other. In the end, they mend things by sacrificing their needs and buying each other a gift. Even if they don't understand it, they know it'd make the other happy. And that's all that really matters. It's a genuinely sweet moment that shows how arguing can be healthy and necessary for relationships to strengthen.
We even see them dropping their hang-ups about each others' personalities. In Made in Manehattan, when Rarity runs off in dramatics about someone's fashion, AJ doesn't roll her eyes or scoff, she smiles. Oftentimes, their conflicts are very common domestic conflicts romantic couples face. Applejack's Day Off is about a woman's inability to balance work and life and find time to properly spend with her partner, causing her partner to feel neglected.
By season seven, they're actively participating in each others' interests. Any problems or conflicts that arise are dealt with, and they come out the other end stronger and closer. In Honest Apple, AJ pretty much spells out why their relationship works so well: even though she doesn't understand fashion, she can recognize and appreciate how much work it takes and wants to respect that. When she realizes her mistake in the episode, AJ goes above and beyond to fix things and apologize to Rarity. They care about each other so much.
The two go out of their way, sacrificing their personal desires and beliefs and doing things they normally wouldn't, to make the other happy. That's just love.
Tumblr media
There's Simple Ways, where AJ gets stuck in an unwanted love triangle between Rarity and her hipster crush. And her frustration and anger can be so easily interpreted as AJ finding herself in a terrible position; the girl she loves wants another man, and that man wants her.
I dunno. I've always had a preference for opposites attract ships, but Rarijack's stuck with me like a brain worm because they have the perfect chemistry. The way they show they care, or do things for each other, I've always read it as the truest representation of romance in the show.

Miguel and Hobie Fighting for Your Love
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Both men knew they were wildly in love with you. But, as you remain oblivious to their feelings, their conflict strengthens. A war is brewing.
“I won’t let you have her.” Miguel’s eyes gleamed between the velvet sheets of artificial night, the dim glow of the control panel at his back, casting a shroud over his front. Hobie stood before him, gripping his guitar by the neck, resting it over the back of his shoulders. His other hand sat in his pocket, creating the illusion of comfort. Yet, beneath his lax exterior, Miguel could hear his heart pounding. Racing. Hobie drew a breath, looked off to the side.
“I don’t think that’s your decision to make, Big Man.” Eyes half-lidded, he returned to Miguel, dragging his stare. Lethargy. Gave a thin smile. “Though, I suppose that if you knew that – really believed it – you’d know that you don’t stand a chance–”
Miguel’s fists clenched, the sound of his suit squealing beneath his grip causing Hobie’s gaze to flicker. He swallowed, shallow. He knew what Miguel was capable of – had seen how many lives he’d gladly put at risk for you. And he’d do it again if it weren’t for the fact that your friendship to both him and Hobie was what kept them locked in a stalemate; a spectral triangle; Bermuda. An anomaly in itself.
Of course, you had no clue that you’d captured the hearts of the two superheroes. The problem was that they did. Their softened attitude towards you, their care for the most banal of features of your life, their seemingly bottomless investment in your close circle of friends and beyond could have been construed as platonic concern. Friendship of the highest degree.
Once they realised that, individually, they were not alone in the pursuit of your heart, a competition was born. Miguel, ever the organised, careful individual he was, orchestrated your time together, manufactured it, monitored it – poured over it with a fine-toothed comb. Many a night had he spent awake wondering what your accidental brushing of hands had meant, whether the warmth that had flushed your cheeks was the result of his presence or the joke he’d just cracked, your laughter Calliopic. Persephonic.
He savoured every hug you shared, no matter how brief, sewing the patchwork memories into the fabric of his heart, the fragrance soaking into his bones. Your phantom warmth wrapped around him tightly, a second suit, whenever he needed it – needed you. He’d find ways of encouraging physical contact whenever he could, his heart throbbing at the feeling of your face pressed into his chest, your arms around his back as he embraced you.
He wondered what your kisses tasted like. Whether you thought of him when you used that chapstick he bought you, ice cream cake – the aroma of celebration. Because, to him, any moment with you was a celebration.
Miguel would offer to take you home after work. Though, not via ordinary means of travel.
He’d permit you to hop onto his back and slide your arms around his neck, taking you on a spin through the city, bringing you to the highest peaks, the pinnacles of human beauty through neon illuminations making the city sparkle like a sea of jewels. He’d feel his heart stutter as you shifted to get a closer look, your chin almost resting on his shoulder, cheeks just touching as you gasped, took in the scenery. In times like these, he was glad of the mask, of his ability to hide the effect you had on him, how you played his emotions like a string instrument.
“I’ve never seen the city like this before,” you told him, voice gentle at his ear, almost carried away by the wind. Miguel heard you. He strained his every spider sense to do so, no matter the conditions.
“Hobie hasn’t done this with you?” He tried not to let the hope in his tone show. You shrugged.
“He’s more of a stargazing kind of guy. Though, I’ll let you in on a secret,” your voice tailed off. Miguel leaned in. You whispered. “I think he just doesn’t want to go pivoting off buildings after a long day of already having done so.”
Miguel felt an idea spark in his brain. The start of a new ritual, routine, for just you and him. This would be for him what stargazing was to hobie – he’d bring you closer to the stars than Hobie ever could!
Whenever he’d return you home, whisking you through the midnight air, he’d place you at your door, imply what a good time he’d had. And, as always, you thanked him, eyes crinkling before parting with a hug.
Miguel would wait until you’d enter your apartment and locked the door behind you before leaving, and even then, he’d find himself perched atop a nearby building, waiting for something, anything to happen – for any opportunity wherein he could prove to you he was a hero. In times like these, he wished with a selfish heart that you lived in a more decrepit part of the city.
He realised how much he loved you – adored you – when you fell asleep in his arms after work one evening. He’d been carrying you to your room when you just nodded off. In his grasp, you were tiny, fragile. Weak. The responsibility of protection, the fierce need to watch over you, to possess you entirely, overcame him, overwhelmed every sensibility he’d cultivated throughout his life.
And so, he watched you. Eneamoured himself with your sleeping features, the trust you displayed to have fallen asleep on him. In his mind, this becomes a core memory. One which he turns into a joke between the two of you, his own fragment of sanctity – the beginnings of close friendship – one he’d use to build a statue like Hobie’s. A statue of you.
Hobie’s eyes narrowed. His nose wrinkled as his lips turned up in a half-sneer.
“You think the odd hug and a second of eye contact constitute as…what? A chance?” He scoffed. “A signifier that she feels for you more than she feels for the common man?” Incredulity danced in hobie’s eyes. Seethed from between his lips. The corner of his lips pulled back, revealed a smirk.
“Get over yourself, Mate. If she were interested, you’d know it by now.”
Of course, Hobie had his own collection of memories regarding you, his own wardrobe of moments sewn together with the thread of mirth to wear and fashion whenever and however he so pleased. He would wear it out to parties, on the town, to the Spidey-Station (as he referred to it with you). Show Miguel that his bare-threaded ribbon was nothing compared to his tapestry.
You and Hobie would wander the city when it was late and dark and quiet, talking about anything and everything that crossed your minds, more often than not leading the two of you to howl with laughter, leaning against each other as tears flooded from your eyes. The story, regardless of how funny it had been, held no weight compared to the joy that sparked in Hobie’s chest whenever you touched, whenever you simply existed with him. Fireworks.
You got him in ways nobody else truly could.
Many times had he come to visit you, only to lay his head in your lap and tell you what was bothering him. Sometimes it was trivial, others it was not. And every time, you’d sit and listen, playing with his hair and the badges on his jacket. And, of course, Hobie did the same for you.
One evening, you’d come banging on Hobie’s door, voice distraught as you called for him. He practically tore the door off its hinges when he heard how distressed you were, and, when he saw you, his heart tore. Your face was tear-streaked and your posture gave the impression of anguish, immortal and unrelenting.
“Hobie,” you cried. “Am–” your sniffing diced your words like meat in a kitchen. “Am I pretty?!”
Hobie blinked, unsure if he’d heard the question. And when he didn’t respond, you wailed.
Hobie knew what this was, for you’d spoken about it at length many times before. Insecurity was a powerful tool, especially when fuelled with sleep-deprivation and alcohol, one which Hobie wished he could destroy. But, while he couldn’t do that yet, he reached for you and took you in his arms. And as you cried into his shoulder, he told you how beautiful you were, how surprised he was that he was able to get a look in with you at all with how many men were chasing after you. And when you tried to say that no such thing had ever happened, he pulled back, gave you a smile, the visage of mischief.
“That’s ‘cause I scared ‘em all away!”
Your veneer cracked, and a laugh sprung from the concrete, the beginnings of life in an apocalypse. What Hobie wanted to say, though, what he nearly said, was everything he felt for you – how no word in the human vernacular could ever even begin to comprehend or compare how ethereal you were to him, how widely his love for you encompassed his very being, everything he said, did and wanted dictated entirely by the thought of you.
He opened his mouth, holding you close again. He could say it all now, while you were drunk – pretend it never happened if the exchange turned sour. But he knew he couldn’t live with your rejection, even if you’d have no memory of it.
He closed his mouth, swallowed the confession that teetered on his tongue like a pill. Consumed his contemplation, obscuring his feelings from you for just a little longer. While he couldn’t say it – not yet – he pulled you closer still, chest-to-chest, one hand at the back of your head and the other wrapped around your waist. A lover’s lock. And he held you. Tightly.
“You’re the most beautiful woman in every universe, (Y/N). I should know.” he murmured. He felt you nestle into him. You’d heard him. He sighed. “I just wished you could see it, too.”
Both men viewed the other as possessing some unattainable advantage, the beginnings of a  fabled proverb blatant in their desire to attain what they thought the other had. What they were both striving for.
You.
For Hobie, the very thing he had prided himself on was his self-believed downfall. Friendship. The two of you had been friends for years, basked in a platonic limelight. Initially, Hobie hadn't needed to worry about how you viewed him, but as he fell deeper and deeper in love with you the longer he knew you, the fact that you’d maintained such a close friendship with him without once giving the indication of romanticism frightened him.
Miguel had only waltzed into your life a few months ago. You didn’t have to see him in a platonic light, didn’t have to bear witness to his deepest faults or his subtlest of quirks. Quite simply, you didn’t know enough about him for his mystique to be shattered.
On the contrary, Miguel saw how close you and Hobie were, how, without saying a word, the two of you knew what the other was thinking. He found your incessant asking of “Do you think Hobie would like this?” when visiting a store to be intimidating. He wondered if you asked the same when you went out with Hobie. If he was the subject of your concern as your best friend often was.
Whereas Hobie knew your every thought and desire, Miguel knew he clutched at straws by comparison, drinking in every detail you afforded him, taking nothing for granted. He’d bring you gifts, stories, regalements from his time out in the field, and his chest would swell whenever you watched him with wide eyes. He hoped, with every fibre of his being, that your astonishment was confined to him and him alone. He prayed that your years of friendship to Hobie was enough to dull any excitement you may feel when he told you similar tales.
This war was simply beginning, no two ways about it. And as they surveyed each other, Hobie and Miguel, weighing up the other’s pull on you, their minds conjoined to speak once and for the last time.
“May the best man win.”

One could argue that your life without jonggun was way better and happier. He was handsome, strong, rich and most importantly: skilled. He was quite the catch. Despite his Korean name, he was half Japanese and born into the Yamazaki clan. A powerful family in Japan who had skilled members, and jonggun was considered one of them. You were his fiancée, the spotlight, the princess, the next equal who would marry him. The opinions were divided, one could say you were pitiful for marrying such a man. The other could say you should be grateful for even grazing his presence. And the other could say that they should’ve chosen someone else. Even though there was so much criticism and comments, there was one thing everyone could agree on: you had a lot of potential. His own family, well his mother and his uncle Shintaro, thought it was a good idea. Everyone had their opinions, yet no one regarded your feelings. Not your own family, not his, not Jonggun and most certainly the head of the Yamazaki clan. You expected Jonggun to be in the same boat and in a way he was. Yet he was too much for you. Too viscous. Too violent. Too cruel. Too chaotic. But what certainly was a deal breaker was the fact that he desired his father’s approval above anything else. It was quite stupid if you’ll be honest. He was chasing something so far and unreachable. It was unrealistic and because of that he also influenced your life as his fiancée. The many troubles and conflicts, the many challenges and arguments, the chaos and expectations. It was all too much. It interrupted the life you wanted for yourself. Even though you might have cared about him, it was time to put yourself and your own happiness first. That’s why you didn’t hesitate to break when you told him you didn’t want to be with him anymore. He himself agreed to it without many hesitation too, he didn’t see any need in continuing the relationship anyway. He found you too soft, too kind and too caring for his taste.
Tumblr media
Now that you have moved past jonggun and being his fiancé, you found a new fresh start in Korea. Going to J-high and gradually having an overall positive life. You had made new friends at the high school, and the study you were doing was way easier than living up to all the rough expectations in the past. You were free. Free to make your own choices and who you interacted with. Coincidentally, you met a nice boy in your class named Daniel who had a very big friend group, the group always made you feel welcomed and didn’t judge you for anything.
One faithful day when you were meeting with the friend group, you met a girl named Crystal. She was very nice and pretty too. She disclosed to the friend group that she had a bodyguard who was going to tale her home. None of the people in the group, including you thought anything of it. He usually kept his distance and let Crystal do her own thing. Only when things turned bad did he intervene to beat someone’s ass who wanted to harm Crystal. He was very professional and often just kept quiet. You weren’t stupid and knew who it was, but kept it to yourself to avoid him as much as possible. Often you could find him staring at something, or to be specific: someone. But who are you to say anything? He was wearing sunglasses and it wasn’t like you were the only thing in his vision. Maybe he had his eyes on Crystal to make sure she was in no harm? It is his job after all.
Tumblr media
A few days after meeting Crystal, Daniel offered to spent some time at the beach since the school year was ending in a few weeks. Daniel invited Crystal too since she is also a part of the friend group, what made you quite exited as Zoe and Mira really already had a whole plan with all the girls, and girls only. The boys however protested, excluding only some of them. Zack who immediately agreed and nodded his head along with Mira. Jay didn’t seem to care much and trusted his sister and not do anything irrational. Daniel only found it a pity, but didn’t seem to bothered and brushed it off as something normal.
During the day, the girls and boys eventually came together. Jay and Daniel were having a good time in the water, but accidentally splashed Crystal who scolded them. Zoe was standing with Jay’s sister and admiring Daniel’s shirtless body. Next to then was also Zack, who was gushing about Mira who gave him ice cream. They all seemed to be busy which gave you some time to yourself. It’s not like you hated hanging out, sometimes you just needed a break or to catch a breath. During one of the times you stepped away from the group to go to one of the bathrooms in the restaurants. On your way walking there you got a text message from a number you didn’t save just in case. ‘Hey. Let’s meet up in a little while. I managed to get some time off.’ Is what the text read. You thought for a moment to see if you would be free. Spending a little time wouldn’t hurt as you hadn’t seen him in a long time. It wasn’t too serious right now, but from his reaction and the fact he often kept in touch even with his busy schedule, he clearly was interested.
You were on the brink of texting him back before you felt a hand softly placed on your shoulder, despite the soft touch, the hand itself felt very rough. You turned your head a little to glance at the person behind you, only to find out it was none other than Jonggun park. Once again, life decided to play games with you by meeting a person you tried to move on from. You spun around and to face him and couldn’t help but breathe out an irritated sigh. Jonggun on the other hand had a neutral face, there wasn’t much to see aside from his lips anyway as he always wore a pair of sunglasses anyway. ‘Do you remember me?’ Is the first thing he asked you. It’s a stupid question since the you were pretty sure that you had recognized him from the start. You just nodded your head at his question, not wasting any of your breath on something so unnecessary, this made Jonggun chuckle a bit before his hand moved to your waist. He didn’t seem to care much about what you felt, but only what he felt. Typical for him. ‘Take me back.’ It was more a statement or a demand than a question. Before you could even give an answer ge explained to you about how he had observed you in the last few times you met up with Crystal. He told you how he loved you. He loves the way you seem so forgiving, so peaceful, you’re adoring happy smile, your kind nature and caring side. It’s all so appealing to him and it made him so intrigued. Funny isn’t it? He loves you for the same reasons he once pushed you away. It’s almost laughable.
‘Sorry. I’m already seeing someone.’ Is what you told him straight to the point. Jonggun could feel his face harden and his jaw clenching. You were seeing someone? Without even regarding how he felt about it? Why the hell were you even seeing someone in the first place? You should’ve only had eyes for him. He didn’t like it and it was easy to see on his face too. ‘You’re stupid. Telling me you love me? Go to hell. You once disliked me for the exact same reason you now tell me you love me for? Bullshit.’ This seemed to stun him a bit as he didn’t even say anything to you, probably to frozen because od your reasoning or the fact he was rejected in his life once again. Despite his stunned body language, you could still feel the hands on your hips which caused you to back off…that was until you bumped into someone. The chest of the person felt firm yet a little hard. Which was weird since this was a woman’s bathroom and the only man here was jonggun. Jonggun ok the other hand gritted his teeth at the person behind you and scoffed. ‘Looks like you had your chance hmm? Let’s not fight and make it a cliffhanger for the 3rd time.’

what draws you both to jalice/makes you so feral about them as a ship?
you should know we had an entire meeting in order to answer this ask. no this could NOT have been an email (unlike new moon) 🤭
Secretary G took notes. they are as follows (read the bolded parts for a tl;dr)
we kind of see it as though jalice got the traits that edbella weren’t allowed to have, either due to their status as protagonists or because smeyer's mormon background causes her to view these qualities as too sinful/negative for her wholesome Waiting Until Marriage main couple. (examples: alice's materialistic, "shallow," hyperfeminine qualities, her character flaws (especially her manipulativeness), and jasper's aura and history of fucked up violence closer to what you'd find in traditional vampire stories/horror/adult gothics/books not written by a mormon author)
in terms of how much screentime the non-main-love-triangle canon couples get, their relationship is kiiiinda given the next-most weight to edbella’s (examples: jasper's extreme overprotectiveness, the New Moon chapter 19 moment where alice prioritizes jasper and bella is like “yeah I get it, I would do the same.”) basically smeyer gives jalice's relationship a lot of the qualities she finds romantic/ideal, (and which are either similarly romantic to us or entertainingly toxic/a good source of drama), presumably because alice is like her 4th-favorite character after the main love triangle and she wants nice things for her
we both really love how, superficially, as presented in the books, jasper and alice seem to have this almost “courtly love” that smeyer has described as "spiritual." yet when you look closer, their relationship has so many darker undertones—the deep codependency bordering on obsessiveness (mutual, but especially the way it manifests on jasper's end—"I will kill this random teen girl who witnessed edward's jean valjean moment™ because any means are justifiable when the ends are Protecting Alice"), the dark sides of both of their powers, the idea that jasper is only a cullen and/or only a vegetarian for alice's sake, etc. hell, even the fact that they're the only Cullen couple who we know had (gasp) premarital sex 😏 (I mean we assume rosemmett did too, but alas, they don't have that hilarious "carlisle convinced jasper and alice to get married" quote from smeyer)
partially summarized: "jasper’s general desperate willingness to sell everyone to satan for one corn chip if it keeps alice safe (carlisle: I know this and I love you)"
we're forever smug that the movies gave us even more jalice screentime (especially remarkable in such a protagonist-centric universe), including jasper being in the same grade as alice/bella/edward, and the extra jalice kisses in Eclipse and BD 🥺
what we wrote down as the “who’s protecting whom" phenomenon, as coined by G in this old ask. (shannon: "jasper is the toddler you've given the PS2 controller that's not plugged in")
we also like the characters individually. jasper is for the girlies with competency kinks—a stoic caretaker who speaks little and mostly expresses himself via acts of service. we also both love the way in which he needs protection from his own uncontrolled violence (slipping up and killing humans, suffering the pain and fear he inflicts, etc.) he is, in the words of our beloved @liceparade, the "line cook trauma boyfriend"
“It’s hot when there’s a fictional violent man who wet babygirl 😌” —shannon
and alice, unlike bella, genuinely loves being spoiled and bossing people around. she's brat-coded, she's confident and secure in who she is, her god complex ("I'm close enough [to omniscient]") causes fascinating conflict, bella eats drywall from sheer horniness at her merest movement, she dresses like a slut in the Mormon YA Novels and yet somehow escapes authorial condemnation, she has a sickass gothic heroine backstory, she's "annoying," aro started a whole war over her (eat shit helen of troy 🖕), she spaces out in public and has to be led around by jasper, she's one of the most powerful vampires in the world, she's in high school getting a C+ on her precalc test 💅🏻
it's appealing that smeyer frequently puts alice in the center of the series' various conflicts (james' singer and "one that got away," the accidental cause of all the drama at the end of new moon, one of aro's secret True motives for starting the conflict in BD.) this is mostly as a consequence of smeyer using alice as a plot device and/or deus ex machina, but it is in fact interesting
is alice jasper's morality chain? we love pondering this question via fic, meta, etc (especially because...alice ain't exactly a model of ethical behavior herself)
together, the two of them exhibit lots of classic tropes. they're grumpy x sunshine, chatty x silent, opposites attract, etc. to say nothing of that height difference 🥵
we love the yin/yang symbolism of a character with a horrific past paired with a character with NO memory of her past, who is focused on the future and all about potential. not to invoke an ancient phrase but POETIC CINEMA
the next note just says “POTENTIAL in general.” I assume we meant how all of the above stuff creates potential for interesting stories, conflicts, metas, art, fic, etc
G has brought this up in the past, but we love the irony of jasper, a character whose chief desire is to be left in peace, being soul-alteringly in love with the one character who will always be a giant glaring target through no fault of her own. hilarious

Heart Podium (Joe Burrow x OC x Max Verstappen)
Tumblr media
Many times our childhood dreams cannot be realized, due to our overly fertile imagination, many times our professional childhood dreams cannot be realized either, either due to the delay in getting a place at the university we dreamed of or the lack of opportunities when it comes to working in the arts or sports.
There's always plan b.
Kayleigh was one of those kids, it's true that dreaming of being a Backyardigan was difficult, but she was left with plan b, a plan that was broadcast every Sunday before the NFL, her father would have lunch, afternoon snack and dinner on the same channel, watching the drivers and then the Cleveland Browns, his favorite team in the state.
That was the most exciting thing Kayleigh had in her childhood, watching Formula One followed by a good Browns game, arriving at school and eagerly wanting to talk to someone, but the girls didn't like the subject and asked to talk about something else and the boys laughed at her.
Leaving her and her mom's cookies in the stands.
Until one day she plucked up the courage and asked her father to play go-kart, finding a track in the state of Ohio in 2004, it wasn't the easiest task in the world, but he managed it and little by little, it went from being a joke to a serious thing.
Until high school came and she discovered that there were two ways to get into college: she had to be very smart or know how to play some sport, in 2011 in the United States, go-kart doesn't really mean a sport, far from it.
Not knowing what to do, she decided to confront her parents in her first year.
Not wanting to do anything, since it wouldn't help her with her possible future career was a very risky step.
For her parents, it's not even worth mentioning, they wanted to freak out, exchanging the stability of a degree for a go-kart race, for them it's crazy, especially when they've always prepared themselves financially for it, when they always prepared for her to enter university, which is not the cheapest thing, and it was in these uncertainties and in the midst of this conflict of whether or not to go to college that she tried to get interested in more conventional sports.
But when she tried out, she was terrible at soccer, average at lacrosse, slow at basketball, tough at gymnastics, shy at cheerleading, short at volleyball, afraid of water when swimming and she's a girl, she couldn't play American football.
It was during one of these that she found herself making a fuss.
-You're going to regret it, you know, you're losing the best wide receiver the world has ever seen -  She yelled.
One of the guys looked at her in fright, while others wondered who she was.
-You know you were running for the cornerback spot, right? A blond guy tells her.
-Yeah, I know, that's exactly why - She sighs tiredly.
-Because you came to try for the spot right here, you know they don't choose girls easily.
-I’ve tried everywhere, I came here just to cause trouble, I had nothing to do” She confesses, leaving him confused.
-Really?
-Yes-They end up laughing.
-You don’t like a specific sport, maybe if you try there you’ll do better, maybe explain to the coach that you like it and want to learn and she’ll let you stay-He suggests.
-I like watching, but not putting it into practice, I’m doing this more so my parents can see that I’m not good, I already know I’m not good-She sighs.
-I’m sorry-He gives her a half smile, until she feels a crack.
-Geez, I haven’t tried baseball yet-she remembers and gets up, leaving the equipment there.
-They don’t accept girls either-He reminds her.
-That’s exactly why-Kayleigh laughs.
-By the way, what's your name?-She stops, holding the door.
-I'm Joseph-he says shyly.
-I'm Kayleigh, see you soon, Joseph.
And yes, she tried baseball, but the first time she held the bat, it ended up between the legs of the boy next to her, who fell to the ground groaning in pain.
Kayleigh was thrown out.
Fate was cruel to her when it came to sports, but it only reinforced the idea that she had to continue in karting.
After meeting Joseph, she would see him someday, as she thought, but she would see him every day, until the prom, when after two years together, she finally realized that they would have to separate by force, and how that hurt, not only for her but for him too.
-I can’t believe you’re going to Europe, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m going to tell Ohio State to go fuck itself, I’ll go with you wherever you have to go, but I don’t want to be away from you.-His cheeks already reddened from the cold, he said.
-Stop saying that, you’ve been given an incredible opportunity, you have to take advantage of it.-She tried to convince him.
-But I can’t imagine being away from you.-Hearing that, she lay down on his lap.
-We’ll get through this, you’ll see, and we’ll be strong.
The first year away was the hardest, not only for Joseph, but for her parents too, because seeing their daughter try to make a living racing karts, traveling all over Europe, was something that made them so proud, but at the same time so apprehensive. The second year seemed to be easier. They were already well accustomed to the routine of video calls, social media, messages, letters. They sent polaroids to hang up. Once, Joseph even caught himself putting his perfume on the paper to make sure she could smell him. They exchanged gifts, everything.
Until the careers arrived on television, Joseph could sit down and look for the channel to watch her and she could pick up the phone and watch the college divisionals. The fifth year passed, the sixth too, and then the seventh, when Joe finally took off in his career in American football, being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals.
And the following year, Kayleigh did what she never imagined she would be able to do: she reached Formula One, after almost dying waiting for this event. Of course the party was huge, she returned to her country with all possible honor, suddenly a little girl from Ohio was going to compete for a title for a team and everyone wanted to know what this little girl does and better, where are the American boys who are not having the same prominence? But she could never say that it had any real effect on the American public. Formula One is still a playboy thing for them, to the point where they even consider golf a more accessible sport.
Just as she was there for Joe's big debut, he was there for his big debut, of course, but their contracts ended up preventing more contact. They had to train, they had to focus, they couldn't travel long distances or do physical work before their work, and they also couldn't be too far away from their work.
It allowed them to spend a few moments together. She would catch his last games if he made the playoffs and he would catch her first races,so much time apart didn't make their love diminish. On the contrary, seeing each other's achievements seemed to only strengthen their love for each other. And even without knowing, there was someone who was not at all happy with this growing love.
-Joe said he'll call me soon.-She jumps around the room excitedly, waiting for someone to call her to give her the prize.
-Hmm- Max makes an annoyed face, leaving his helmet on the stand.
-That's cute, it's the middle of the night in the United States, isn't it?-Carlos asks her, all smiles.
-Yes, it's the middle of the night and he stayed up.-She doesn't hide her smile.
-Really the last of the romantics.-Max rolls his eyes.
-Stop being annoying, she's so happy.-Carlos watches her like a doting father.
Max glares at him, enough for the Spaniard to avoid him and stay quiet.
And of course, the next day, as always happens after every race, Joe sends her a huge bouquet, with a dedication and, when he is present, romantic letters. For most people around him, it is just his European or rather, Dutch humor.
But for those who actually live with him and see the mistakes he makes and notices, the way he treats her when she talks about other things and when she talks about Joe, they understand very well.
Max messed up her hair, trying to free her mind from those thoughts, from that feeling, but realized it was difficult. After another podium with her, another trip to a random bar with everyone involved, the country's biggest celebrities and everything else, he could no longer stand two things.
The first, Charles flirting even with the walls of the place.
The second, the fact that she trusted George more than him, to tell him the reason for her 37th breakup with Joe.
-I honestly don't understand you guys, one moment you say that distance is good, the next you break up because of distance, make up your mind damn it-George, tired of the situation, slammed his hand on the table. He fixed his hair, looked around and composed himself.
-Sorry man, I got carried away-He spoke like most people do sometimes, treating her like a man.
-I know it's not the most normal thing to do, but it tires me out-She said finally, she didn't want to waste her friend's night with this, much less make him occupy his mind with his problems.
She went to the bar to order another drink, without realizing who was next to her.
-Did you bump into something?-She heard someone ask and then looked to the side to see Max.
-What do you mean?-She immediately became confused.
-Your leg is kind of purple,-he says.
-Oh, let's just say I might have fallen on my suitcase- She rolls her eyes.
-It's the third time this season.-He holds back his laughter.
-She goes everywhere and sometimes it happens.-She shrugs.
-Your suitcase can make you more purple than your boyfriend, I think it's time to trade him for her.-Max takes a sip of his drink, savoring every note of it, satisfied with yet another mean comment about Joe. He knows how distance affects him and that's nothing more than a psychological game, sending indirect messages that hurt.
As always, she remained silent, discreetly observing her leg and trying to cover the bruise, with her face reddened.
-I can't blame him, he's going after his dream." She answers for the first time, even if a while later and too quietly, as if she wasn't even there anymore.
Until the girl asks herself, why is Max worried about this?
For a second, Max almost misses the destination of the glass, looking at her.
-Really, there are men whose only dream is to chase a ball, not to have trophies and a woman who loves him.-He takes the opportunity to retort.
-Thanks for ruining the rest of my night, Max, you're always so sensitive.-She answers, choked, finishes her drink and walks towards the exit with long strides.
Max remains there at the bar, staring at the various bottles, some full, others half full, thinking that once again she leaves angry with him, because he doesn't defend her dear Joe.
-You don't have to be so rude all the time, I know you're used to guys around here, but you have to realize that there are girls around here now and they deserve to be treated with kindness and affection, did you know that women are people too?Lewis appears at her side, irritated by the situation.
-Have you stopped talking, Lewis Senna Hamilton? He scoffed.
Max was already drunk enough to almost drag himself back to the hotel.
And even after spending the next few hours thinking about whether or not to knock on her door, as he always does when he’s drunk, he decided it wasn’t the right time.
When he woke up with the sun and that strange feeling, since that’s usually when he goes to sleep, thanks to the jet lag, he allowed himself the luxury of staying a few more minutes in that comfortable bed, under all those sheets, grabbing the fluffiest of his pillows to hug, trying to get it into his head that he was hugging her, trying to get it into his mind that he woke up next to her that morning, it seems he was so used to doing this every morning that with each passing day, the images became clearer in his mind and the sensations stronger.
And for the next race he had a surprise, he jumped out and took off his helmet and head protector, looking in disbelief at the smiling couple on the sidelines watching the track.
-Joe, should I congratulate you or say my condolences? Max gives his best sarcastic smile.
-I don't understand- Joe's radiant smile fades.
-What do you expect from a player? Max grumbles, he had meters around to pass and reach his destination, a screen to review his training, but he made sure to pass between the two, bumping into Joe.
He placed his helmet on the table next to him, silently completing the malicious thought, about his possible dubious qi, when he saw Joe approaching through the shadow on the ground, his smile only grew wider.
Kayleigh decided to leave, aware that they would have some kind of argument.
-I don't understand your stubbornness, Max- Joe confessed, watching Max from a few inches away.
-I say it over and over again, what can you expect from a player? Max rolls his eyes.
-And what are you, don’t you play in this?Joe retorts.
-I’m a pilot, it’s different-he says, convinced.
On the side of the track, tired and just waiting for time to pass, the topic, as always, was just one.
-Max is PMSing- Lando comments while sitting on the floor.
-We should take up a collection and pay a gynecologist, so she can prescribe some medicine, I don’t know- Hulkenberg adds.
-I think what he needs is a psychiatrist, one minute he’s calm, the next he wants to kill you, he’s crazy- Lewis concludes.
-He just needs some time to calm down, recharge his batteries and rest- George defends him.
But he ends up getting angry looks from everyone.
-For this and other reasons, I stay away from that snake pit they call Red Bull, God forbid I have to deal with that creature - Charles says, looking disdainfully at their reserved space.
-No offense, Kay- He makes his observation.
-No offense, I can't stand it anymore- She confesses.
-Not even Kayleigh throws this tantrum when she's on her period, honestly we don't even know when that happens, thanks for sparing us- Lando thanks her, making her laugh.
-I think there are certain details that aren't necessary- She comments.
Max walks past the group with firm steps.
-No one moves their ass in this place, then they complain about the podium- He sends the indirect message with his angry eyes.
Everyone there exchanges glances.
-Hold the Japanese- Ricciardo warns.
-Why? Charles finds the request strange.
-I’m warning you, hold the Japanese guy-he repeats.
And indeed, poor Tsunoda is at breaking point with Max.
Joe left, but Max’s sourness didn’t.
During breakfast at the hotel, Pierre’s strawberries were more sour than expected.
-Her boyfriend leaves and doesn’t get a bruise on his neck, he’s a real wimp- Max grumbles, savoring his waffles.
George’s eyes widen, he wipes his mouth with the napkin next to him.
-Max, how rude. He glances at Max out of the corner of his eye.
But Pierre has the most priceless face, he looks like he’s eaten something spoiled.
-Jesus, you weirdo, who says that, keeps an eye on others, has he become a tax inspector now? He left his comment.
-Watch out guys, there are people watching our necks- Lando dramatically covers his with his sweatshirt.
-I think you should start thinking about where and when you say certain things, Max- Carlos warns him, earning his laugh.
-Why? Do you know anything?” The Dutchman stared at him.
-Common sense Max, just common sense- he retorted.
-That was ridiculously sexist, Max, if that’s what you say, imagine what you think- Lewis gives him his best disapproving look.
-Have you finished your testimony Lewis?Max provokes him.
Max’s life became increasingly complicated there, with the boys and his provocations, little by little choosing to be alone, but not as much as Kayleigh's, who, in addition to having to put up with his mood swings, also has to put up with Joe's suspicions.
His jealousy used to have no name, but now it has a first and last name. Kayleigh only sees one reason for it, the fact that they work together, nothing else could make sense, andexplaining it doesn't seem to help, Joe found himself wondering why they exchanged smiling handshakes live, if she hates him so much.
-Do you really think that after the race, I'll remember how much I hate him? Of course not, Joe. I just think that I won or that I need to improve, hug everyone involved and leave. - She explains, pacing back and forth across the room.
-I don't want to be the annoying guy, but he doesn't look like he hates you, he seems to take advantage of your innocence. - Joe says almost desperately.
-What innocence, Joe? - She asks him.
-Kay, I don't want to fight over this guy. I'm just saying that this isn't something that makes me comfortable. You're walking around half the world with them in a place full of men working, next to several men, and that bothers me. Not only because of jealousy, I don't know, maybe they'll try to do something to you. -
-Jesus, Joe, don't say something like that. I understand your side, okay. I'm not saying you're wrong, but you need to trust me. I won't betray your trust. I haven't done that in all these years. Why would I do it now? - She tries to calm him down.
-Sorry for stressing you out. - He sighs heavily.
And it's been like this for a while.
Even when they're not at work, free to visit somewhere, Max seems to show up in the same place as her or simply in a place nearby, which makes Joe even more suspicious.
But Max couldn't stop there. When he saw her calmly standing there taking some notes, Max approached her with the excuse of seeing what she was writing down and it was then that he took the opportunity to bring his face too close to hers, which left her somewhat speechless. He placed his hand on her hip, giving her a discreet caress.
-Studying for the race, kitten?- He smiled at her reaction, a mix of confusion and embarrassment.
-Sorry Kay, I forget that you're sensitive to male touches. He laughed, leaving her blushing and finally going where he wanted.
She closed her eyes, not liking it at all. His provocations were getting more and more personal with Joe.
Whenever Max managed to get the slightest hint, he would walk away smiling.
But this time, George decided to confront him.
-You should be ashamed of touching women who are in a committed relationship inappropriately- he says, somewhat indignantly.
-Have you had your tea yet, dear English nobleman?" George rolls his eyes.
-Max, I'm serious, that's not cool, it could cause unnecessary confusion- he insists.
-You look so cute saying 'unnecessary'.Max laughs at the guy, who decides to get more serious.
-When Joe gets pissed off and comes to punch you in the face, don't tell me I never warned you.
-Before he punches me in the face, he'll punch you in the face, because you're the little friend who's always around, hugging and advising when they break up. Do you really think he's going to come after me, George?
-I'm in a committed relationship, I've never done this with bad intentions. He doesn't like the accusation.
-Wow, now I'm confused, is this a swing or a threesome? Max laughs to himself.
George stopped walking at the same moment, offended and even more shocked by another accusation.
When he realized it, Max took a few steps back and ruffled his hair.
-Just kidding, George, you're so cute.
But even his happiest days get bad when he sees the two of them together on social media, kisses, dates, more kisses. Max is sure that if Joe knew how jealous he is of him, for being able to love the woman he loves, he would definitely dig a hole to the center of the earth and stay there, far from Max's eyes.
He has thought countless times about using Joe's number saved on his phone, to send some manipulated photo or one that would have a double meaning, but knowing the two of them, he believes that even that would be reason to break up and get back together after a few days.
But it's these photos, the flowers, the letters, her giggles in the corners of the hotel, that make him freak out when he shouldn't. After being next to her in one of the endless meetings and noticing his new gift, a ring on her finger, that was enough for Max to find any reason to start stomping his feet and shouting. And sometimes he even measures her before the race, in the best possible way, as if he were casting a curse on her. -Damn, did you two fight? The boy asks her. -Honestly, I don't know, he left the meeting shouting, now he just looks at me like that. She sighs tiredly. At one of the parties, thanks to Charlie, he can talk to her a little. -You know, girls, sometimes we reach 200 kilometers per hour.He boasts, the trio of friends start drooling in French. -You could say that I am speed. He gives her his most seductive smile.
Max denied it and snorted.
-If I say something like that, I'll get a restraining order.- He takes a good sip of his drink.
-Also, with a sensitive mood like that, you can be sure that many would be afraid. She teased.
-So I don't have a chance? He used his playful tone.
-You're quite cheeky, you know. She lightly took his hand as a quick friendly caress, more for his level of need, that wasn't just a caress.
Max took her hand, lifting it and bringing it to his lips, finally leaving a caress there.
She was embarrassed, but she couldn't see any harm in anything Max did; for her, that was just an apology for the previous treatment.
But from that day on, it could be said that Max started to look at her more, in increasingly shameless ways.
Once again, with a podium in his hands, he waited for her, making sure to catch her eyes, just so she could see him measuring her completely, and she could see that it really affected her.
Or another time, when she was already embarrassed by him staring at her, while she watched the screen with the replay of some moments of the race, he caressed her face, giving her a wink.
She certainly doesn't know what to do with that.
Joe can't dream of that, while Max seems to love it.
But what she didn't expect was for someone to tell Joe about the flirting and say that she is increasingly cornered by the situation.
Unfortunately for Joe, in the middle of his season and fortunately for Max, in the middle of Joe's season.
One day after getting out of the car, Max was waiting for her, not giving her much space to walk away, the girl took off her helmet without knowing what that was, does he want to solve something? Are they going to slap each other or something like that? She wondered.
-How are you, Max? She looked at him.
-You were amazing, you know that? He spoke softly, raising his hands again to her hips and patting them a few times.
-Thanks, I have to go - she said, without giving Max any space. He wanted to know how she was when her only option was to be ridiculously close to him.
The group was confused, to say the least, they didn't know what the hell was going on and what the atmosphere was like.
As Max walked away with firm steps, when he saw that she was far away, he decided to try to get along with the Red Bull team.
-Sometimes I forget that she's not a guy - he laughed for no reason, but he's not like the other boys, who really do forget that she's the woman there. Max remembers who she is every second.
But Joe's situation is nothing that a phone call can't solve.
-Joe, I don't understand who told you that? He asked.
-Someone I trust- Joe justifies himself.
-Joe, I'm going to be honest, if I had the chance to sleep with her, you can be sure I would have done it already, as many times as I could and you can be sure that every time I lie down in my bed, I wonder why it hasn't happened yet and guess what, it's your fault- Max decides to be honest just to hear what Joe has to say.
-You're really brave to say something like that, you know? You know what, I'm going to kill you- Joe gets upset enough for Max to have some difficulty understanding what he's saying, the Dutchman gave his best laugh.
-You know, just a simple touch on her hip makes her all embarrassed, it makes me wonder how long it's been since she's been with a real man, but apparently I don't think that's ever happened, especially since she's only been with you- He continued his provocations.
-Joe, it's really cool that you're the cute guy who gives flowers after every race, gives gifts, writes letters, but if I were you I'd start to worry, because there are a lot of people watching her and I'm one of those people- Joe snorted from the other side.
-Because you can be sure that if I were her boyfriend, her legs wouldn't need a stupid touch to go weak, a simple look would be enough to make her remember a lot of things, things like that my friend, let's be honest, we're among friends here, you don't- Max stabbed the last time, hearing a sound of something breaking and he was sure it wasn't a glass but the phone.
Kayleigh almost didn't find out anything, they both avoided the subject just waiting for the other to tell.
But as the races went by, the atmosphere between Max and her seemed increasingly confused.
With the end of another race, Max lifted her up in a hug that at the moment, out of joy, she didn't stop to think about everything that was happening, but Joe did.
-The thing is, if it were me, it wouldn't be just fucking work- Joe shouted loud enough for her to have to pull the phone away from her ear.
-It was just a hug Joe, we've been together for I don't know three, four years, we work side by side, I understand your jealousy, don't think I don't understand, I do understand and in your place I would be like that too, I'll talk to him okay, I promise I'll talk to him and we'll work this out- She tries to calm him down having this idea.
-Kayleigh Hawkins I trust you, please don't make me lose that trust in you, I love you regardless of whether we can't spend a month together without breaking up, I don't know what I would do without you- He asks sighing heavily on the other side.
-I never did anything to make you doubt me, you know that Joe, if I didn't like you, I wouldn't be with you until today, swallowing all these breakups, just promise me that you'll calm down, okay? I love you - She says finally.
She went to sleep and tried to calm her mind, she needed to be calm and talk to Max the right way, she knows how he is, even if she's a little uncomfortable with all this extra contact they're having, there's no reason to do this to Joe, to let him suffer with a situation that's already driving him crazy, he's far away and the only thing she can do is trust that they're telling him the truth.
She got ready, took pictures with everyone who asked and went into the nightclub, this time looking for Max, the first thing she thought would be that he'd be at the bar, as he always does, but nothing.
She spotted George and it doesn't hurt to try.
She nudged him lightly so that he would lean in without leaving the circle of conversation.
-Have you seen Max? She asks him.
-Thank God I haven't seen Satan today. I heard he came to Earth in the body of this Max guy, but honestly I think Max is the one possessing the devil. George turns back to the group of friends. Okay, that's not the information she wanted to hear today.
She asked Lando the question, indiscreetly interrupting him and a girl she doesn't know, earning a free kick.
-Man, I haven't seen him - Pierre says, already out of habit in the male environment.
She sighs, imagining two hypotheses: either he's hiding out with some girls or he's gone back to the hotel.
She quickly makes sure to send a message to Joe, saying that he's definitely with some woman and that she's going to wait a little longer to look for him again. She rolls her eyes at having to do that, still feeling like she's going to be really embarrassed.
She picked up her drink and decided to walk around again until she saw him walking outside with his glass and sitting alone at a table.
She hurried, she needed to be quick, she didn't want anyone to arrive in the middle of the process.
When she walked through the door, it was clear that he found it strange that she went there, he gave her a small smile that was returned.
-Can I sit here? She politely asked for one of the empty seats.
He put his hands under the armrest of his chair with a big smile.
-You can sit wherever you want.
-Okay - she mumbled tensely.
-What do you need? He asked her, making her a little embarrassed.
If he was having a bad day, it could get even worse, so she decided to be as cautious as possible.
-Joe talked to me yesterday, he was a little upset about our hug, he got jealous of you and you know, I don't want that to get in the way of anything, not you, me or him, so if you could reduce the physical contact it would be a big help. She smiles nervously.
Joe said he's jealous? he asks with the same apathetic expression.
It was then that his laughter startled her.
-Yeah, I know, it's irrational. She quickly agrees, starting to lose her voice and blush with embarrassment, she didn't need to be making such a fool of herself, she thought.
Max froze when he heard that and with his best ironic tone, asked her to continue.
-We've known each other for years, we work together on the same team, it's crazy to say this, I'm really sorry for this boring conversation, but I promised him I'd talk to you, you know- she's already preparing for the next kick, he'd probably say it's a favor not to have to hug her and that would be the kindest thing she could imagine that could come out of his mouth.
-First of all, I'm an educated man, so I wouldn't be talking nonsense, smiling, complimenting, or any of that crap to someone I'm not interested in. We both know you're smart, you don't need to force it so much. She's in a mix of understanding and not understanding.
He looks at her and realizes he's only confused her even more.
-Tell your boyfriend, if he's jealous, he'll have to have the balls to come here to solve it - Max says, enjoying the situation.
-This will create an unnecessary situation, you know, you don't need all this for a misunderstanding- she explains again.
-Let me explain something to you, since you didn't have the tact to notice, from the damn moment I met you, well before I knew that this idiot was your boyfriend, I was already in love with you and something stopped me from talking to you, my girlfriend. Now I'm single and nothing stops me from talking to you. Are you going to say you never noticed? Her feet fell, as she tried to reason, she felt a cold hand go up her thigh. She froze there, not knowing what to do, looking at Max who had the most peaceful expression in the world.
She looked down, seeing the hem of her loose black dress rising higher and higher, exposing the area. She couldn't understand how Max, who distributes rudeness, now had a hand on her thigh. She delicately brought her hand to meet his, making eye contact with him again, but when she thought she would stop her hand, she only made him squeeze the spot and get even closer to where he shouldn't.
-Max I think you- She prepares to get up, but he is faster.
-Sit down, we're not done talking - he uses his most gentle tone, but even so it's hard to say anything.
-That idiot Joe has even threatened to kill me, you know, because he knows that I like you and I made one thing clear to him and now it's going to be clear to you, the only thing I need is for you to say yes, you know where my room is, it's always next to yours, it's not hard to find, when you get tired of this idiot you can knock on my door. - He walks away.
-That's not how it works, it's not about getting tired of my boyfriend -She is cut off.
-I don't know how and what you like about him, so yes, it's a matter of getting tired of him
Even with the shock, she stayed quiet and didn't say anything to anyone, she thought that would make things easier, but everything got worse with Max.
Now besides being a sweetheart, he's simply everywhere.
This includes grabbing her hand when she is focused on the training screens, indiscreetly measuring her and, what has caught the team's attention the most, the number of times he touches her hair.
On another day, finishing some notes about the current track, she doesn't know when he appeared, but he started massaging her shoulders, slowly moving up to her neck. The first thing she did was cough to discreetly send him away, which didn't help.
-You need to relax, Kay, you're too tense - he says quietly.
One of the guys on the team walked by them.
-I'm enjoying seeing you helping each other, Red Bull spirit - the guy leaves smiling.
-Max, that's enough, you're going too far -she says through clenched teeth.
-That's my specialty. He laughed, one of his arms serving as support so he could slide his hand down her spine as far as he could reach, slowly moving up, noticing her held breath.
-You need to relax, why don't you take a deep breath and let my hands help you?He suggested.
-I need you to stop with the double-meaning jokes - She asked.
He didn't answer, he just brought his fingers to the back of her neck, massaging the tips of them and moving down a little, he got as close as the backless bench would allow, pressing her head against his torso, and finally sliding his fingers from her jaw until they almost reached her lap.
-And what kind of massage is this? Can you explain it to me? She asked reluctantly.
-A casual massage, like any other, I think that massage is more about touching someone's skin until you see relaxation appear, and that angle of you is wonderful - He teased, aware that with the force used there it would be difficult for her to move.
-Max, I didn't know you could give a massage - Lando shouts from outside.
-That's great for those who wear a helmet.
-I'll have one - Lando says, and Charles agrees next to him.
-Me too.
-Sure, boys. I'll be right there when I'm done. He smiles at the two of them, who continue on their way.
-Why aren't you writing it down? Did you forget what you wanted? He gives his most fake tone of concern.
But by giving her the massage right there, he makes it difficult for her to say anything.
He then gently lowers his fingers and finishes, bending down a little so that he's at the height of her neck.
-Stop pretending you didn't like it. Considering that you're dating Joe and how much your skin is crawling, I think you should go to the bathroom and get yourself together - he pats her shoulder.
-It's great to see how satisfying these hands are, not just on the steering wheel. He laughs, walking away and giving her another wink. Kayleigh closed the notebook, wanting to bury her face in the ground. This can't be happening. Max can't be serious. But he is very serious and to make the test complete, he decided to tease her with a little more than words. The situation has already escalated to a point where she doesn't know if she can keep denying it and, worse, what to say to Joe when he calls at the end of the day and she has the same scared expression. Suddenly, the guy who was a jerk to everyone has become an angel with her and, on top of that, says he's in love with her, to the point of making a scene. The point is, she doesn't know how far he's going with the description, but Max knows well.
Tsunoda, who is next to the two, was a bit embarrassed by his face towards her and hers towards the floor. He doesn't know if coughing would help to start a conversation or if anything else, the atmosphere around them became unpleasant and even tense.
She was grateful when she saw Carlo approaching, smiling as always, and greeted everyone, but before they could say anything.
-We would make a beautiful couple, wouldn't we? He points at her, who freezes in disbelief.
-Isn't she with Joe? Carlos asks.
-I didn't ask about him, I'm talking about us. Tsunoda and Sainz stare at each other, not knowing what to say, along with her, who has wide eyes.
-Of course, they would be great, she's very pretty and you - Carlos is cut off.
-Really, she's beautiful. Max gives his best smile to Kay, who pretends not to have heard anything.
-I heard Lando calling me, bye guys. He left in a hurry without looking back. It didn't matter that they must have been there for an event or something, he would arrive at the last minute and that was it.
But her destination ended up being the same as his.
Max took advantage of the hotel corridor being empty, to reach her and hug her body from behind, holding her. Kay moved, trying to get out of the tight spot, and then Max decided to play it low, going up to her neck and nibbling it.
-Can't you see that it's crowded here, can't you see that this is going to hurt me? She asked him irritably, trying to stop him from continuing to caress her.
-You said that I always mistreated you, I'm just treating you the way I should, making my interests obvious to everyone. He replied.
And then only two breaths were heard in the hallway, Max continued the attack on her neck, sliding his hand until he reached the hem of the woman's pants where she quickly grabbed him.
-Are you going to run away again? You know that the more you run the better it is for me, because then I'll feel like I've won you over. He then released her, turning her to face him.
When he realized, he was against a wall in one of the many empty hallways, Max brought his hand to her face, squeezing her cheeks.
-Do you know how much it hurt me to spend four years of my life, seeing you with that clown, while you were always by my side? Do you know what it's like to see him deliver flowers, letters and then suddenly it all ends, you feel hope, then you come back and all this repeats itself over and over again, meanwhile, I'm the guy who's always here, do you know how horrible that is? He asked her somewhat irritated, not with her anymore, but with the situation.
-Not even when you were hospitalized after a crash, he showed up, like a good teammate I went there, do you understand now how much I need you to dump him and let me make you truly happy? he asked, letting his hand slip.
He steps away slightly, Kay runs her hands through her hair, messing it up, looking to one side nothing but an empty hallway, looking to the other the same and Max in front of her waiting for the answer.
-You guys break up all the damn time, break up with him, spend some time with me and then if you regret it, which I highly doubt, you go back to him. Max waits for her decision, staring at her.
-I can't... he quickly cuts her off.
-You can't throw away your childhood love, a beautiful childhood love that you see for three months and then only next year."
She swallows that.
-I may not be the nicest guy, nor as loved by everyone as he is, but I will be here and I know very well how much you want someone who is here. He gently takes her hand.
-You want someone who will hold your hand, praise you, watch you run, can do something stupid together, someone who understands you, someone who is not so fickle, someone who is here to wake up next to you, who will hug you at night, who can touch you and he can't do any of that but I can and I want to. The distance between the two became short again until the wall appeared.
Kayleigh took a deep breath and nodded slightly, she was afraid that she was under the effect of his power of persuasion and even more so of those eyes, but she couldn't deny it. She did miss Joe's presence, she loved him, not having him around was always the biggest obstacle.
And this obstacle would only have one solution, one of the two of them giving up their careers.
The fact is that once again they have been separated for a week, but as always she cries on the day and then pretends that nothing happened and they are together.
-We broke up last week - she begins, still thoughtful. -We can try, but I don't want anyone to know, because if nothing works out, I don't want it to become a mess, or for anyone to talk about it - she asks. -They'll start seeing me smile, it'll be kind of obvious - he approaches. -Are you sure?" He asks cautiously first. -Yes - he agrees. Max presses the elevator button, leaves a hand caressing her ear, preparing to finally kiss her for the first time. Max never hides his desire, much less his rush, but even so, he takes Kayleigh by surprise when he lets his hands roam guiltlessly over her body in that hallway.
He finally felt the weight, anger and hurt of all those years being thrown aside, being extracted from her body, he wouldn't say she wanted to wait so long, but being able to drive Joe crazy, just like he had been all this time was wonderful, now he finally has what he wants, her.

Hi, I'm the spoiler anon. Sorry, I didn't think about our different timezones and only been able to send an ask now.
Firstly, I loved the way that Nichols and Wolfe dealt with their (small) conflict this episode. They've been consistent in showing great open communication between the two, and I like how it still felt like they were meeting more in the middle rather than it having to be one opinion vs the other, it just felt very respectful.
The way the show dealt with Alison in this episode was also great. I had felt apprehensive about them possibly going down a more 'fatal attraction' type road, but I should have given the show more credit considering previous episodes. Though I did find it odd that Wolfe and his interns were the ones treating her initially. Would she not have gone to the ER, and would those who work in neuro typically be working in the ER?
What might be an unpopular opinion, and the main thing I'd love to hear your thoughts on, is that after this episode I think Ericka is best alone or with another doctor outside that hospital. I still like Jacob and Van as individual characters, but this episode showed me that neither of them are good for Ericka, at least right now, and they both have issues with jealousy and possessiveness, just in different ways. Van is more overt, whereas Jacob is more subtle. Then when Van was a dick, he responds in kind by revealing he has a kid.
Seen people try and make the argument that Jacob was just being a good guy and he didn't know that she didn't know Van had a kid, but he absolutely knew and decided to use it to cause issues between them. More importantly, Ericka knew that was why he did it, out of jealousy and possessiveness, which is why she called him out on his behaviour. Would love to know your take on it.
It does feel a bit of a shame that for a show that had so far built up great supportive relationships, to have them crumble due to a love triangle. Though the next couple episodes might build back the support.
So for the Van/Ericka/Jacob triangle I do think the fact Jacob told Ericka directly after Van gloated and that Ericka knew immediately that it was a play makes it pretty obvious that it wasn’t an accident.
I think up until Van did his gloating, he was kind of completely in the right just vibing, and following Ericka’s lead. Jacob’s sudden push into making it into a competition seems like it made him pretty mad and territorial which is something we hadn’t seen from him before (an new depth to his character that might explain why his son apparently lives with his baby mama) I think partially this is set up to explain how Van’s previous relationship fell apart.
On whether either should with Ericka I think that’s meant to be up to Ericka and I think it’s pretty obvious she wants nothing to do with either of them right now, but I could see her forgiving Van a lot quicker than she could forgive Jacob simply because Van being hesitant to mention his kid in a potentially romantic relationship when it’s clear not even Dana (who seems to be Van’s best friend among the interns) knew —when Ericka had made clear that she doesn’t want kids in the previous episode— kind of comes off as understandable whereas Jacob giving away a major secret to score points in some game where Ericka is the prize… not so much. If she ends up back with Van I won’t be surprised. I think for the time being, Jacob’s out of the running until he apologizes.
Allison’s thing was handled well, and to answer your question, she was being treated by neuro because of the nature of her overdose, I think they just initially had Dana and Ericka there because for whatever reason, Neuro seems to be close to the ER entrance at Bronx general. Watching this story though, I really focussed in on how well the story was treating Carol. She never makes excuses for herself but she also admits she had selfish reasons to continue treating Allison. Her being so gentle with Morris asking for the divorce was a perfect showing of who she is: a woman who will always prioritize the emotions of everyone around her but who won’t let that be at the cost of herself. She asked for the Divorce not because she hates Morris but because she doesn’t want to live angry anymore, and still she takes the time to tell Morris she still loves him. It was really beautiful even if it was sad. Morris doesn’t quite get that of course, he’s still under the impression that as long as he keeps apologizing everything is okay but that’s a very human flaw, to think that apologies are all that’s required to mend a relationship.
As for Josh and Oliver: they were so cute at the very end and I’m glad they addressed how Josh and Oliver butting heads isn’t going away nor is it antithetical to them continuing to be in a loving relationship. I hope they keep that squabbling dynamic for the rest of the series just to add light drama and humor as they continue to grow to understand the other’s perspective. They’ll never have an exact understanding of course because Oliver comes at everything from a palliative perspective— treating symptoms and improving quality of life— whereas Nichols, as a neurosurgeon, approaches everything from a curative perspective— eliminating the disease process entirely. From the first episode we see this play out: Josh thinks he’s done his part because he cured the epilepsy, but Oliver is focused on the side effects and quality of life for the patient. Ultimately one approach cannot exist without the other, so to vocalize it using the two of them having their little squabbles is a strongpoint of the series.

Do you think the next helluva boss episode will have even less views? I personally reach a point where i don't want anymore episodes to come out because they're becoming worse episode by episode, i see other people getting tired and quitting this show but maybe there are more people interest than what i see 🤷🏼‍♂️
Now that’s a great question.
I don’t know what exact factors go in to view count but here are some i have surmised. The hype is at an all time low, it is doubling down on its flawed aspects, past episodes failed to entertain the audience.
Excitement - the hype from full moon was the maximum, it is all pretty dim now. The stolitz fandom have 100% of the plot dedicated to their desires, yet only represent a little under 50% of the viewers. Even they aren’t all that excited anymore, throwing tantrums saying unless sinsmas is the ending they want they quit. Looking online, almost nobody is talking about HB except a couple hundred fans.
Fan service - HB has been serving and catering exclusively to stolas x Blitzø shippers, who are clearly not a representative sample of who is watching this. That has caused viewer decline because most people aren’t shippers. Especially casual viewers. But even the shippers are starting to get bored.
Hype - Full Moon is an experiment in how fandom hype reflects views, and that went very wrong. It is by far the most hyped up episode, but only performed 50% as well as the previous episode did. It was universally a disappointment.
Promotion - A date and time used to always be announced online to create intrigue. There is a schedule now that wasn’t always there before. That could be a positive. Hazbin hotel caused a spike in views, but since it has concluded, that aspect can no longer be counted on.
“Reputation is everything” and that of HB and Vivienne medrano is frankly, in the toilet. It is disliked for the infantile cussing, abandonment of the original show premise, the ridiculous melodrama of the creators pet bird character, and the unbearable toxic discourse in the analysis community and right from the creator herself. People say it feels embarrassing to recommend this show to people, and it’s a guilty pleasure. Fans dogpile on content creators who discuss it, which only winds up silencing them, and reducing traffic talking about the show.
The biggest factor: People who are choosing to stick around, aside from very entitled and hopelessly obsessed shippers, are bored. Medrano has already told us how this story ends. Clearly from the merchandise all the current ships are endgame, there is some love triangles to drag out runtime that nobody will bother getting emotionally invested in since we know the ending, none of the characters fall out permanently or have a lasting conflict, we know none of the main characters will die so that creates plot armour and no tension. They said the ending is a happy one.
I hate to see this happening, it used to be a fun popular show with a decent reputation, without so much drama and discourse around it. It was well liked. Fandom being catered to way too much, and barriers being broken between fans animators and the show runner, just ruins everything.

The Love Triangle - Eunbi x Taeyeon x M reader
it is a fluff, it is less like a complete story and more of a compilation of my small stories. This is completely unedited or even proofread, I was bored and felt like writing a fluff but couldn't come up with a proper plot. I hope you guys like it. As always I am open to any feedback
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Taeyeon from Girl's Generation and Eunbi. You had met them both at a music festival and had quickly become close with both of them.
As time went on, you found yourself developing feelings for both Taeyeon and Eunbi. However, you knew that you couldn't keep leading them both on and that you had to make a choice.
One day, Taeyeon and Eunbi unexpectedly showed up at your doorstep, both wanting to talk to you about your relationship with them. You nervously let them in and the tension was palpable.
Taeyeon spoke first, "I just want to know where we stand. I care about you so much and I can't continue like this if you don't feel the same way."
Eunbi chimed in, "I feel the same way, I just can't stand the thought of losing you to Taeyeon."
You took a deep breath, "I care about both of you, but I know I have to choose. And the truth is, I've been struggling to make a decision because I don't want to hurt either of you."
Tears began to stream down Taeyeon's face, "Please don't choose her over me."
Eunbi's voice trembled as she spoke, "I know I'm not as famous or successful as Taeyeon, but I promise to love you with all my heart if you choose me."
You took a moment to gather your thoughts before speaking, "I don't want to choose between you two because I love you both. But I can't keep leading you both on, so I have to make a decision. And my decision is..."
Before you could finish, Taeyeon and Eunbi both leaned in and kissed you on either side of your face. It was then that you realized that you didn't have to choose between them - you could love them both.
The three of you spent the rest of the night talking, laughing, and cuddling. It was clear that you all cared about each other deeply and that your love triangle was just the beginning of a beautiful relationship between the three of you.
*********
As time went on, you found yourself spending more and more time with Taeyeon and Eunbi. They both had busy schedules, but they always made time for you. You went on dates, watched movies together, and even traveled to different countries.
However, there were still moments of tension between Taeyeon and Eunbi. They both wanted your attention and affection, and sometimes it caused arguments between them. It was difficult for you to see them upset, and you often found yourself caught in the middle of their conflicts.
One day, Taeyeon and Eunbi surprised you with a trip to a secluded beach. They had planned a romantic picnic for the three of you, complete with your favorite foods and drinks. As the sun set, Taeyeon took your hand and looked deeply into your eyes.
"I know we've had our ups and downs, but I want you to know that I love you," she said.
Eunbi wrapped her arms around your waist, "And I love you too. I never thought I could love two people at the same time, but being with you both feels so right."
You felt overwhelmed with emotion as you looked at Taeyeon and Eunbi. They both meant so much to you, and you couldn't imagine your life without them. You took a deep breath and spoke from your heart.
"I love you both too," you said, "I know we've had our challenges, but being with you both makes me happier than I've ever been. I want to be with you both, if you're willing to make it work."
Taeyeon and Eunbi smiled at each other, and then back at you. "We'll do whatever it takes to make it work," they said in unison.
From that moment on, the three of you were committed to making your unconventional relationship work. You faced challenges and obstacles, but you always came back to each other with open hearts and open minds.
*********
Your relationship with Taeyeon and Eunbi continued to grow, you found yourself more and more invested in their careers. You attended concerts and events, cheering them on from the sidelines. You loved seeing them shine on stage and knowing that you played a part in their success.
One day, Taeyeon and Eunbi surprised you with tickets to a music festival. They told you that they had a surprise for you, but wouldn't give you any hints about what it was. As you walked through the festival grounds, you heard Taeyeon's voice booming from one of the stages.
You turned to Eunbi, "Is that Taeyeon performing?!"
Eunbi nodded, "She wanted to surprise you with a performance."
As you made your way to the stage, Taeyeon sang her heart out, pouring every ounce of emotion into her performance. As she finished her song, she turned to you and smiled.
"I wrote this song for you," she said, "It's called 'My Loves'."
You felt tears welling up in your eyes as you listened to the lyrics. Taeyeon had captured your love for her and Eunbi in a way that you never thought was possible. As she finished the song, the crowd erupted into applause.
Eunbi took your hand, "That was amazing, wasn't it?"
You nodded, "It was beautiful. Thank you, Taeyeon."
Taeyeon smiled, "Anything for you two."
As the festival continued, you found yourself basking in the love and support of Taeyeon and Eunbi. They were the center of your world, and you knew that you were the center of theirs. Together, you navigated the ups and downs of life, but you always came back to each other with open hearts and open minds.
It was already night and the festival came to a close, you all headed back to your hotel room. You cuddled up together in bed, basking in the afterglow of a perfect day. As you drifted off to sleep, you knew that you were exactly where you were meant to be - in the arms of Taeyeon and Eunbi, the loves of your life.
*********
The following day, Taeyeon and Eunbi had a surprise planned for you. They blindfolded you and led you outside of the hotel, where they had rented a private yacht for the day. As you stepped onto the yacht, you felt the warm sun on your skin and the cool sea breeze in your hair.
"This is amazing," you said, "I can't believe you both did this for me."
Eunbi smiled, "You deserve it. You work so hard, and we wanted to do something special for you."
Taeyeon took your hand, "We love you, and we want to show you how much you mean to us."
As the yacht sailed along the coastline, you felt truly content. You were surrounded by the people you loved, and you knew that you were exactly where you were meant to be. You all laughed and talked, enjoying the beautiful scenery and each other's company.
As the sun began to set, Taeyeon and Eunbi surprised you again. They had set up a private dinner on the deck of the yacht, complete with your favorite foods and drinks. As you sat down to eat, you felt overwhelmed with emotion.
"I don't know how to thank you both," you said, "This is the most special day of my life."
Taeyeon smiled, "You don't have to thank us. We love you, and we want you to be happy."
Eunbi took your hand, "We're so grateful for you. You've brought so much love and joy into our lives."
As the night wore on, you sat on the deck of the yacht, watching the stars twinkle in the sky. You felt Taeyeon's arms wrap around you from behind, and Eunbi's hand slip into yours. You knew that you were exactly where you were meant to be - in the arms of the people you loved most in the world.
As the yacht sailed back to shore, your relationship was  filled with so much love, caring, and support, that you couldn't imagine your life without Taeyeon and Eunbi. You were grateful for their love, and you knew that your love for them would last a lifetime.
*********
Despite the deep love and connection you shared with Taeyeon and Eunbi, you couldn't deny that being in a love triangle was challenging. You had moments of doubt, insecurity, and jealousy that you tried to suppress, but they always found a way to resurface.
One night, while you were out with Taeyeon, you saw her talking and laughing with another girl. You tried to ignore the pang of jealousy in your chest, but it was too strong. When Taeyeon returned to your table, you found yourself unable to hide your feelings.
"Who was that girl?" you asked, trying to keep your tone neutral.
Taeyeon looked at you, confusion etched on her face. "What girl?"
"The one you were talking to," you said, your voice rising slightly.
Taeyeon's expression softened, "Oh, her. She's just a friend. Why are you getting upset?"
You shrugged, "I don't know. I guess I'm just feeling a little insecure."
Taeyeon took your hand, "You have nothing to be insecure about. You know that I love you, right?"
You nodded, feeling tears prick at the corners of your eyes. "I know, it's just hard sometimes."
Taeyeon pulled you into a tight embrace, "I know, but we'll get through it together. I promise."
As the night wore on, you felt your heart swelling with love and gratitude for Taeyeon. She had a way of making you feel secure and loved, even in the most challenging moments. You knew that you were lucky to have her in your life.
The next day, you had a heart-to-heart conversation with Eunbi about your feelings. She listened with an open mind and a caring heart, offering her own insights and support. You felt a deep sense of love and passion for her in that moment, knowing that she would always be there for you.
*********
The jealousy you felt earlier only grew stronger as you saw them interact with other people. You began to feel like you weren't enough for them, like they would eventually leave you for someone else.
One night, when you were all out together, you saw Taeyeon and Eunbi laughing and having a good time with another group of friends. You felt a wave of insecurity wash over you, and you knew that you couldn't keep it bottled up anymore.
"Can we talk?" you said, pulling Taeyeon and Eunbi aside.
They both looked at you with concern, "Of course, what's wrong?"
You took a deep breath, feeling your emotions welling up inside you. "I'm sorry, but I can't help feeling like I'm not enough for you two. I see you both having fun with other people, and I feel like I'm not living up to your expectations."
Taeyeon cupped your face gently, "No, no, no, don't say that. You are more than enough for us, you are everything we could ever want."
Eunbi wrapped her arms around you from behind, "We love you so much, and nothing and no one could ever change that. You make us happy, and that's all that matters."
You felt tears streaming down your face as you felt the weight of their love and support. "I love you both so much, I just don't want to lose you."
Taeyeon wiped your tears away, "You will never lose us. We are in this together, and we will always be here for you, no matter what."
As the night wore on, you all held each other close, enjoying the warmth and comfort of each other's embrace. You felt a newfound sense of security and love, knowing that Taeyeon and Eunbi were by your side, no matter what.
In the following weeks, you all made more effort to show your love and appreciation for each other. You went on romantic dates, wrote each other love letters, and talked about your hopes and dreams for the future. You felt a deepening sense of passion and love between you all, and you knew that your love triangle was anything but ordinary.
Years later, you looked back on your time with Taeyeon and Eunbi with fondness and love. You were grateful for the memories you shared, the laughter you enjoyed, and the love that you had. You knew that, no matter where life took you, you would always carry the love and warmth of your love triangle with you, a reminder of the power of love and the strength of friendship. And as you held hands with Taeyeon and Eunbi, looking out at the sunset, you knew that your love for each other would never fade.

you want pharma and prowl? I’ll give you pharma and prowl!! Them both as romantic rivals trying(and failing) to woo reader (gn, can be whatever species) cause they are both losers (affectionate) they keep trying to flirt with reader, but are so jealous and possessive they keep getting in each others way, which is not helping their image in front of readers eyes. Maybe reader is a secretary and has worked under both, and their personality(and bod) attracted them in the first place . Here’s your pharma and prowl <3
author’s note : YESSSS YESSSSS THIS IS THE CONFLICT I NEED. ILL GIVE YOU A SMOOCH FOR THAT IDEA ALONE ANON. I’m a sucker for these tropes on goddd. Also don’t mind me as I change it to a medic, since it’s more flexible for me to work with <3 possible three some later ;;)) also, whoo! This is a lot longer than I expected.
ONLY ONE WAY UP THE HIGH WAY
summary : prowl and pharma finds themselves as rivals when they pine for the same darling pet and thus the inevitable egos clash.
You hate rom-coms.
Now, you might be a hopeless romantic; delving and losing yourself in romantic stories, tugging even the most deepest heartstrings which gets you all giggly and kicking your feet. What you hate, however, are bland characters. A random, mix and mash kind of chemistry, forced with no substance, set up as a love triangle.
Which is, quite literally, what's occuring right now.
You see, you’re a medic up in Delphi for some time before being paired up as Prowl’s buddy-buddy partner, because Chromedome insists someone needs to look after that unruly cop who’s always destined get himself killed.
And so you do. Upon Ratchet’s introduction to the Autobot SIC he’s not exactly someone friendly. He's, ah, rigid and prickly, the know it all by the book, kind of prickly. His unresolved anger issues takes quite the toll wheb you tend his wounds or even so much as to touch his arm. Though, demure as you are, you know when to stand up for yourself when the situation gets out of hand. And this kind of resistance managed to ease down his sharp edges. Now, he’s still a prick, a tolerable prick more accurately, but you’re both good pals!
Or so, that’s what you thought.
One unassuming day, you were lounging off as usual in the main area, gathering your bearings after another tough match with the hoards of patients when your communicator buzzes with a ping. It's a message from Pharma.
An Autobot base will be set up here in Messatine at due time. Will be expecting your arrival promptly.
Ah, Delphi. How long has it been, seven years? Meeting your mentor again was something of a, well, it wasn't far from a dream. Wasn't really a need, either. But it's definitely something, at least. Besides, Prowl said he had to monitor the new crew in case they messed up the communication systems, again. So, you decided, with a hopeful heart, to follow along with the Coppa to Delphi.
Yeah, bad decision. Whomp, whomp.
That hospital might have it's up and downs, and while saving patients might not be it's strongest suits, it's decor are definitely a catch to mind. Goodness, since when did they have the funds to do that? The stark white of the tiled floor ( since when did they had marble designed pillars? ) embellished with grey, engraved carvings stumped your prior, blatant distaste of the facility.
It's safe to say you're surprised.
You're sauntering across the halls of the hospital, admiring the added features of new wards, machinery and nurses, when you bump into a wall that is, apparently, Pharma. Your, uh, very, very nice superior who you squint at your notes is definitely obsessively clingy BUT very smart , but also crazy. Like, mad crazy. Haha....
Why do you attract people like this.
"And, who ..? is this?" Condescension spools from his tone as he sizes up the Autobot SIC with a careless wave of his hand like he's some newly discovered specimen.
"Their partner." He makes sure to emphasize the 'partner' like it's a bullet. "The 'who', here is a Prowl."
"Oh, is it now. I didn't expect you to move on that quickly, dear."
"You're in a relationship?" You feel his glare on you; it's not a question.
"No, he's just—"
"Kidding! I'm only kidding." Pharma gives a hearty laugh. "My, my, officer. You know, tight muscles are a sore to deal with if you're not going to loosen them anytime soon."
"No thanks. I'll stick with a stroke."
"Ah, the ever so pessimistic. Pleasure to meet you then, officer. I've heard lots about you."
The doctor gracefully extends a hand to which Prowl ignores and then replies without much a look to him.
"If that's so, then I'm not very pleased."
The hand falls sharply, so does the smile.
"Oh, good,"
You swore you heard a joint breaking when he snaps his neck to your direction, and while you look away, you knew the chesire grin-like smile on his face is nothing but a threat.
"Very, very good." He straightens up. "How about a tour?"
Honestly, you expected the two would be more civil since they’re both so heads over heels about their reputations in front of another superiorly defined character. What you didn’t expect, however, is intruding in a tug of war that materialized from, seemingly, out of nowhere.
Right, the doctor insisted on an individual tour of your own. He suggested Ambulon show Prowl around, while he would take the pleasure of doing the same to you.
Obviously, Prowl isn't having any of that. So, you're currently between them, one arm in Pharma’s grip and the other in Prowl’s unrelenting grasp. You wince as their digits dig into your skin. If they're not careful, that's gonna leave a mark for sure.
“They already know their place around the medical facility, Jet-fuel. I’m sure they’re able to handle themself just fine without your guidance,”
“Oh, yes indeed,” Pharma, despite Prowl’s 100 degree glare, grits through his forced grin and yanks you back by the scruff of your collar, right into his chest, “I invited them here, I might as well show them around. If I didn’t know any better you’re trying to hog my staff.”
You know better than to voice your opinions. Their inner brain workings, all the cogs and mannerisms were already familiar; operating under their influence is like treading around a field of broken hards bound to prick you at any moment lest you misstep.
"Your staff?” The Autobot SIC scoffs. “Im not hogging them. It's long gone. They're not working for you, anymore. But I'm sure you're not aware of that since you've got a stick up your ass."
“Not quite, actually. Before they became your little pet—“
“They're. Not. My. Pet. I’d prefer it if you didn’t reduce them to some mindless animal—"
“Doesn’t matter. they’ll be fine. I know you haven’t you heard about this since you’re new here but Delphi has its new additions around the facility. I’m merely trying to greet back an old prodigy of mine back. In fact, they’ll be fine without you.”
"Oh, really." Prowl's up in his face now, grinding his dentas.
"How about you push my buttons and let's see where this leads?" Pharma taunts with an obvious tick on his under-optics.
That’s last week and you’re surprised when Prowl is frequenting your work station more often, always nagging you about your reports and how you ‘incorrectly’ structure them. That's strange, he never does that. Why is it only now he's bothering you about it?
When you asked him to take a look, however, he merely tosses it elsewhere and hands you his own datapad for you to look through. Of course, Pharma pops up round the corner and chastises the strategist for hogging his medic’s working hours. He says it's 'unethical' use of Power-play and authoritism and that Prowl should be locked up in jail.
Even worse, they’ve had this tug of war battle where they would try to ‘woo’ you when they can. You weren’t surpised; Pharma’s quite full of himself, so obviously he’s got territorial problems, even though you're not sure why he's so possessive over you. But later you realized he IS the entire problem. Not singular, not plural, he’s a walking embodiment of a complicated problem.
It gets worse when you're trying to do your work and here they are barging into your cubicle with another problem. At this point, you’re convinced it’s just a fight Pharma puts up because he hates sharing his pets. Now? He’s gotten too far down the rabbit hole to get up. For sentient robots who’s been through a war and back, they’re so damn petty.
Pharma’s idea way of flirting is more up and personal, he doesn’t care about your personal space and he never will. Brother in Christ, this mech does NOT leave you alone. AT ALL. He touches you whenever the time allows him to and you knew he's doing that to get under the lesser affectionate Cop-bot's skin, who finds physical touch repulsive.
Sometimes, you feel his hands up on your waist, your back against his chest as he leans over to regard your report, chin on your shoulder. If he’s feeling more bold, he often puts in his two cents of insinuating a quick session in the office which you, uh, politely decline because you’ve got a meeting with the new interns.
There's always another time, he'd jest. Yeah, well, not so funny. He’s clingy, obsessive and despite the charming suave-esque front of a Bond Villain he puts up, he’s easily the best person you can turn into a pile of seething venom.
“My little pet, I think it’s high time Prowl has his duties transferred off elsewhere, don’t you think?” His optics are twitching, and his unusually sharp talons pierce the metal desk. “ Not that I mind, that rancid Cop-bot has been getting in my nerves, recently. Wrong, this, regulations that. Can you believe it, he terminated half of my crew for, as per his words, carrying out unsanitary operations! Thats defamation! A false accusation. It takes a whole restraint not to shove him down the grinds of the accelerator.”
Please, don’t.
“He’s just monitoring the district, sir.” You maintained a neutral tone. He’s at your desk again. And, instead of trying to woo you into his bed he’s complaining. Oh, my god. I’ve got a report due tommorow. And you’re complaining. Someone, help me.
“Well, he’s not monitoring anything anytime soon with how much blood he’s leeching from your body. I should've known better than to agree with his demands to stay in your office as well. He’s stuck to you like a damn mosquito.”
Like, you're any better. You deadpan.
Prowl, on the other hand is aware and accepted the fact that he’s definitely not the most likable or the best lover kind of material out there. And, to take someone like YOU to like him, someone playful and fun, not ripping out his head every two seconds, is a blessing in and of itself.
He can't even stay a second around someone without pissing off their early descendants. So, with his glock locked and loaded he takes 'counteractive measures' to ensure that nobody is going to take that moment of happiness away from him. Even if in unethical terms he’ll have to ensure it.
“You’re been forty five meters off from your office.”
You let out a startled yelp, swivelling around to meet Prowl, oh thank god prowl, who's expression is pinched, lips pressed in a thin line and his hands are intertwined behind his back, military-like.
“I’m buying drinks,” You clutch the myriad of snacks and drinks in your arms, blinking away your pounding heart. “ H-how’d you find me?”
Prowl merely glances at the contraption on his wrist where, when you crane your neck to look over, is a circular radar with a blinking red dot.
“You’re to notify your disappearance when necessary.” He grunts out and turns on his heel. “Let me know when Jet-fuel decides to harass you again,”
Weird. Still, you brush off his disdain for the medic as nothing when instead his, ah, paranoia (?) goes on for months. That one instance youre in the bathroom? Yeah. Hello, there. I'm just walking. Totally not peeking. Totally not—
Is that a new sock?
"Prowl!"
"I'm checking if there are cameras here."
"It's a bathroom?!"
"All the more reason why I should ensure there isn't."
What's more strange is the fact that there's a blatant evidence of someone meddling with your schedule. And, you had an inkling their tug of war session travelled even to technological seams.
This rivalry continued on (despite, literally, the entire hospital's annoyance) until you eventually lost it.
It was a Friday night.
A party was held in the lounge. The younger mechs had set the celebration up to mark the lethargic end of July. Of course, since you’re invited to the party, the two came along despite not being known as party-dwellers themselve. So, it was quite a sight for the young mechs to see.
You thought they’d tone down the hostility a little and even warm up with how much time they spnd trying to one up the other. That's enough months to start a relationship, God damnit. Unfortunately, you’re not able to drink freely without the two mechs pushing against your personal space. Prodding, blabbering away about how skimpy your outfit looked. You're wearing your uniform.
At some point you drink in defeat, squished between their two frames as either tries to stop you from drinking your misery out while the other eggs you on with another bottle.
After the party they insisted dragging you back to their quarters. You’re not even halfway into your room when they start bickering again.
“Don’t you have anything better to do, Prowl?” His name is a venomous jab in the guise of a forced, seething smile. “Your presence in the hospital is unnecessary as the security guard up front. A mandatory monitor check doesn’t require you here all the time. If i didn’t know any better, you’re deliberately trying to distract them so they’ll end up in your berth.”
You hold back a vomit as Pharma nabs you into his hold, the alcohol seething your veins aren’t doing much for your psyche and you stare dumbly at the floor, wanting to retch over it.
”I’m checking up on my partner.” Prowl stands his ground then tugs you into his chest again, “Doesn’t have anything to do with you, Jet-fuel.”
“Oh, it does, actually.” Another tug back, “ It’s called harassment and I'm going to report to your superiors for pestering one of my medics.’’
“Your medic?” He scoffs. “You’re a sad sorry bunch who’s got no chicks up his ass. If I didn’t know any better you’re manipulating them into caving into a newly registered scheme. A play toy, plaything, exhausted for pleasure. Don’t think I know you used to work with the D.J.D, Jet-fuel.”
“Call me that one more time and I’ll ensure your processor isn’t he only thing I’m dislodging from that helm."
“Illegal malpractice of surgery is an offense. Is that a threat, Jet-fuel?”
“Oh, you’ll see, Officer. You’ll see just how skilled I am with my Servos.”
They’re both at already each other’s throat, servos clenched, door wings, jet-wings flaring and blasters at the ready. The Engex they’ve ingested earlier only prompted the hostile ambience and as they were about to—
“Why won’t you both fuck me already!?”
In a fit of annoyance, inebriation and stupidity, the three horsemen of your misery, the words left your lips before you even think. They stop bickering and it felt like forever as they did a 180 , full, joints creaking swivel of a ‘What did you just say???’ baffled expression thrown at your direction.
But you’re still seething and only then you’ve realized your slip-up, you’re a crumpled mess on the floor, palms wide and open, clutching your face that’s unrelentingly burning. Pharma looks like he's been kicked in the crotch and Prowl looks like he's seen God.
Kill me. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me.
“Both of us, hm?” You hear Pharma muse and whether or not Prowl is considering the prospect, all you want to do as of now, is to rot in this hole you dug for yourself.

…So…about Kamen Rider Gavv....
This squiggle meister got some things to get off her chest about Gavv, particularly about our main girl. Everyone’s favourite Hapipare CEO--- Miss Sachika Amane.
Tumblr media
Let’s talk about it.
As a small disclaimer, I don’t usually talk about Kamen Rider here on my blog. I mean it’s certainly been a long time since I have. For those of you reading unaware, I am a fan of Kamen Rider. I just don’t fangirl about it as much as I would other series that I love because, over the years, Kamen Rider is definitely that one franchise that I’ve struggled to keep up with when it comes to watching all the newer iterations since I’ve haven’t had luck with finding sites that have and keep up to date with episodes as they release. So because of that, I’ve only managed to watch a small handful of KR seasons.
Til this day, Kamen Rider Gaim is the ONLY KR season I actually successfully finished cause I was able to watch all the episodes. And I’m glad because when the trailer for Gaim first dropped, its premise definitely grabbed my attention. No way was a rider season about heroes with costume designs based on fruit of all things was going to work and not be silly, right?
Suffice to say, I was made to eat my words cause … if you know, you know. Gaim was really, really good!
Tumblr media
And here I am in a similar position having the same feelings about Gavv. I thought to myself: NO WAY is a rider season about heroes with costume designs based on FREAKY CANDY was going to work and NOT BE SILLY, right? RIGHT??
Tumblr media
Suffice to say…
Y’know I’m really starting to like the taste of my own words.
They’re JUICY like poppin gummies because I am 10 episodes into watching Gavv and I am having fun with it.
Tumblr media
So far, I’ve been watching the new episodes religiously as they’re released and enjoying the story so far. But enough gushing about Gavv as a whole for now. What I mainly wanted to discuss here in my post is my  interest in one of the series titular supporting characters--- Sachika.
Tumblr media
My curiousity lies is what her ultimate key role in the story will be down the line since I doubt she’s merely there to be a recurring support character and ally to our two main riders.
Tumblr media
I guess my main point here is that I wonder if history will repeat itself in the story for Gavv.
You know how the main plot of Gavv all started because Shouma escaped the Granute Homeworld for Earth because he watched his beloved human mother be killed by his so-called “siblings” after years of loneliness because Shouma’s father--- who is a Granute---brought his mother to the Granute World, presumably after she became pregnant with him and has been keeping her there against her will throughout the first years of Shouma's life.
Tumblr media
I’m mentioning this because I’m curious if something similar will happen to Sachika in the end too.
Tumblr media
Given that the latest episode revealed Shouma’s older brother - Lango Stomach - rolling up in the human world and Sachika’s brief brush with him (although he paid her no mind), I’m wondering if at some point later in the story, Lango will become interested in Sachika due to her connections with Shouma.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not saying that I’m hoping for a love triangle but … hear me out.
Let’s say … Sachika and Shouma start to have feelings for one another, allowing Shouma to experience the joy of love that probably enticed his father to his mother in the past.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t know how long they plan to drag out Sachika not knowing the truth about Shouma’s Granute lineage. However, if sparks were to fly between these two, I wonder if Shouma hiding his Granute biology from Sachika will be a future point of conflict between them.
Obviously based on next week episode’s teaser trailer, Hando is going to surely find out the truth about his rider senpai’s identity. But what of Sachika?
Tumblr media
Anyways, back to my theory. So Shouma and Sachika are catching feels and keeping secrets.
At the same time, let's say... Lango also becomes interested in Sachika and he decides to mimic his father’s actions - kidnapping a woman from the human wold to be his bride/ mate and possibly birth him a half human/half Granute heir with possibly similar abilities to Shouma that he can grow into a solider to further aid in their family affairs and rise in the Granute ranks.
Or something like that.
I mean I can be totally incorrect in my hunch here.
That being said, it’s not like we haven’t had KR series with a (potential) romance between the main hero rider, his main female companion and the  villain before in Kamen Rider, right?
I mean, Kamen Rider Kiva had a love story where Kiva was in love with a girl who eventually was chosen to be the bride of his main nemesis who was not only our third rider, but also Kiva’s freaking childhood best friend who also turned out to be his half brother. (Yeah Kiva was on some wild telenovela soap opera type  drama and I was loving it. Disappointed I never finished it though).
Tumblr media
That being said, I can’t help but feel like that whole forbidden love between a Granute and human thing has to come back into the picture in Gavv in some shape or some form, right?
I mean my first choice for Sachika’s ultimate role in the story was for her to become the third rider to join forces with Kamen Rider Gavv and Valen.
Tumblr media
I mean, it’s not like female riders aren’t a thing in KR. Originally, I pegged them to be a rare commodity, only reserved for the more mult-rider seasons like Ryuki.  However, I recently watched a compilation of all the female rider henshins throughout Kamen Rider over the years and was genuinely surprised to see that there were way more female riders in the series than I thought. Especially in this new era.
Tumblr media
So my hopes for Sachika to potentially be a rider aren’t too far-fetched. The only thing is that I’m not exactly sure HOW Sachika will be able to transform if did become a rider though.
Tumblr media
We know Gavv is able to transform due to him being a half human/ half Granute with the ability to make his own Gochizmo minions that grant him his powers through the Red Gavv modification on his stomach, courtesy of his paternal uncle.
Valen is able to transform due to him volunteering as a lab rat to be surgically infused with a Granute gland with a special makeshift gun that allows him to transform with Gochizmos, albeit, stolen from Gavv (at least not anymore as of last episode).
Tumblr media
So I dunno how the fudge Sachika would even work as a rider in this context. It seems like being part Granute is the essential requirement for becoming a rider this season. We’re more likely to have our third rider be a full-blood Granute; most likely on the villain side, to best our two half-breed heroes.
So unless Sachika is the exception to the rule and finds a scientist who can also grant her the tools to become the series first pure human rider to combat the Granutes, then I dunno what else can work.
Unless there’s a twist that she’s secretly another Granute halfbreed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y’know like Shouma but the opposite of him because she was raised her whole life in the human world, believing she was human the whole time and never learning of her Granute heritage because she lacked a second mouth. A Granute with no bite; basically.
Tumblr media
Since the Granutes hunt humans to feed on their happiness, perhaps there will be something special about Sachiko that will make her not need to be a Granute to become a rider. Y’know have her be a rider powered by happiness --- the very thing the Granutes crave and want?
If she doesn’t become a rider then she has to become someone very important later in the series. So important that our current main villains (and probably any others down the line) will want her. Since Sachika’s whole spiel is that she is the ultra compassionate type with a drive to help others, that type of palpable unyielding passion will definitely make her a target of Stomach Inc at some point. And the fact that she has ties to both of our veteren riders (and can potentially be a love interest for Shouma if the story does shift gears towards that) definitely puts a target on her back. But that’s only a theory, for now.
As I mentioned before, I haven’t made Kamen Rider musings on my blog in a long time. Since the days of Gaim actually. But I’ve honestly been enjoying watching Gavv and if this post affirms one thing, it’s that I’m definitely on board with seeing where the plot goes for sure.
I have another Gavv hunch to get off my chest; this time about our local choco-boy, Valen.
Tumblr media
I’ve definitely got some things to say about where I think his story might go too. But I’ll save those for another day, I suppose. If any fellow KR fans who are also enjoying Gavv wish to hear them, feel free to let me know.
Until then, that’s all I got to say for now.

What blows my mind on rereading the books is how attracted to Peeta Katniss is. I hadn’t read them for years so I did think of them as a typical wholesome relationship with a nice guy that never dives into the attraction parts. But now I see the constant flirting that happens, the hunger and need to be close, the description of his body and face, the whole beach scene. And Peeta is super respectful for all of the books but Suzanne didn’t make it seem like a lot of nice guys are written where they wouldn’t dare show any attraction. Peeta in the cave is sneaking in kisses and post games he mentions them being alone together. They’re RIDICULOUSLY into each other . And I appreciate that they found the balance of a nice couple being horny for each other, it always feels like most media at the time portrayed sexual need as something that can only happen with bad boys.
They are into each other at EVERY SINGLE LEVEL it is ridiculous. As a fandom grandma, I remember when people were fancasting Peeta back in the day and one of the more popular choices (though he was 🤢 for many reasons) was Alex Pettyfer. I think a lot of people pictured Peeta super hot (as opposed to what he really is, which is boy-next-door-cute) in part because Katniss's details and descriptions of him are soooo layered with her attraction. Like yes, Katniss, please go on more about his big strong arms and the sunlight in his hair and his blue eyes. 😂 We don't get Peeta's POV but it's obvious he's smitten by her physically as well, saying the flames suit her and that to him she's "perfect."
And Peeta!! That boy could be such a heartbreaker if he wanted to! He flirts with Katniss so effortlessly and in general is really good around people, but he never gives her cause to be jealous (by my reading of the book he doesn't with Johanna in the elevator, even though the movie interpreted that part differently). And oh my, does Katniss crave his touches! Even from book one she's giving him genuine gestures of affection and delighted in what he gives to her. I think because kissing is more intimate she has a harder time feeling the "hunger" when they only ever kiss in front of the camera. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if Katniss ever had a chance to really kiss Peeta without cameras around she would have made up her mind about the boys a lot sooner.
Non, it is so, so, SO important to me that Katniss and Peeta have that real sexual chemistry you talk about and why the movies are so disappointing in this aspect. I think that relationships between adults in shows and movies have offered more that are "healthy, in love, and hot for each other" recently, but we hardly ever see it for teenagers! The "nice guy" is usually kinda awkward or there isn't a lot of chemistry, and all of the sexual tension comes from the "bad boy." There isn't really a bad boy equivalent in THG, but Peeta still fills in a sort of "good guy" role in the love triangle and the fact that Gale can get jealous and pushy but Katniss is still like 😑 with him, but 🥰 around Peeta is sooooooooooooo important. Like yes, teach those young people that healthy conflict resolution is hot!! Teach them that safety and gentleness is a turn-on!! YES YES YES!!!

I have never done a Ted lasso post despite the fact that when I first made my tumblr this was like, the first fandom I was apart of lol. But! I’m so fucking pumped for season 4, I really feel like the finale just didn’t do it justice fully for the show. Some thoughts I have so far:
I would love to see keeley, Jamie, and Roy be a thing but realistically probably not. Especially if it’s stays true that Phil Dunster will be too busy. But I hope they’ll repair Roy and keeley and Jamie and keeley relationship after the weird and awkward fight they threw in. I personally always thought that was a hamfisted ending for them, not to say people can’t relapse into old toxic behaviors but I just felt it was a lazy and overdone trope to end or have a conclusion to a love triangle
Speaking of, it’s still possible Phil dunster could reprise his role, everything is still be worked out and nothing is too set in stone. Hell, an actual season is not set in stone. I would be greatly disappointed if he couldn’t be in it, it wouldn’t feel the same. But if he can’t, at the very least I want a good reason and some cameos, over FaceTime if they have to.
Which brings me to Ted, idk if he’s actually going to be fully in it or just over zoom or something? Is he fully coming back? It would be interesting if they do something similar to the plethora of fanfics of Ted getting hit with mental health issues because “home” doesn’t feel like home anymore and causing conflict in his life and moving back with Henry. Adding to that, I want the ex wife (can’t remember her name rn and I have too much energy to look it up) to break up with the fucking therapist. Dump! That! Man! I don’t want them to get back together, I just want her away from that fucking unethical creep and move to England for her son. But maybe that’s wishful thinking.
Speaking of break ups, break up Beard and Jane. Point blank. One of the worst relationships in the show, toxic as fuck, and Beard deserves better. And get that man some therapy too
I also would like to see Roy’s progress with therapy on top of that. And more keeley with the crew again, I always wished she was included more in the show and not on a side quest. Bring her more in the fold again
We better see Trent Crimm, you can pry that man from my cold dead hands
Seeing Ted get in a new relationship could be fun since I think it’s been long enough distance and he’s grown enough for that. But tbh, I don’t care if Rebecca and Ted get together, I like seeing a platonic hetero friendship that doesn’t need to automatically be romantic. Sometimes people can vibe and just be friends and I always liked that about Ted and Rebecca. But I’m not opposed either if they write it well. Though I highly doubt they’d go down that route since they built up to the Dutch guy and with Rebecca possibly developing a relationship with his daughter, it’d be kind of heartbreaking if they breakup just to put her with Ted. So, if they don’t go the Ted and Rebecca route, I hope we see her relationship more and the daughter
More of Roy’s sister please, I love her. Also more Phoebe
Would love some of the other footballers get to shine. Want to see the women’s league. Love to see Roy struggling with being a new coach
Would like to learn Roy’s family situation since I feel like that’s an untapped well for trauma and issues that probably created and contributed to his anger issues
And I think as a final thing to this long ass post, I’d like to see the after affects of Collin essentially coming out and being the first openly gay player while playing in the league. People had to have seen him kiss his partner and while it was happy, it’s also going to open a floodgate so I hope we get to see that properly addressed and well written

Difference is you're not someone with 60m followers on ig. Difference is even if you post a humanlouvre's pic on your sns it's not gonna get engagement.
Dragging taehyung is definitely not fair cause of course he didn't see what shit posts the account does but it's fair to be disappointed in him. He's got influence and when you're aware of the shippers in your fandom i think it's fair if you double check accounts you post on your story. That is a vile jm, jkk, vmin anti account their pinned posts are about someone seeing taekook kissing. The account went from 2k to 29k+ within hrs so I do think people with influence should be careful doesn't matter what you do. The post went from having some 10 likes to 100k+ likes....when you're public it comes with you being careful about some things it is what it is. Rather than reporting the account everyone is busy following that account and in no time that account is gonna be one big account with some 30-40k followers shitting on jm how lovely.
Hi Anon,
I’m on my lunch break, so I apologise if the answer is a bit rushed. I’m actually not in my Anon answering Era but I’d like to share my anxiety with y’all and this is the right post. I shouldn’t have to suffer alone.
Has anyone ever wondered why they’ve pretty much took themselves out of Twitter? Or why their comments are not open on IG? Does it look like they are presently living a life where “being dragged” is at the top of their everyday priorities?
I think WE are the once chronically online, who take any occasion to right think pieces, start fights that are never going to end, etc because we can’t seem to stay out of the triangle of drama for one👏🏾 single👏🏾minute👏🏾
But as I said I presently really don’t care. But you know what is REALLY GIVING ME ANXIETY? you know what I think could also be on their mind? The following:
Hence, with all due respect, it is sweet and all that everyone out there is worried about his name being dragged, like every other celebrity in the world. But not every other celebrity in the world is presently being trained to be in arms during a very real ongoing conflict.
SO FOR ME, the article I just posted is a bit more of a priority. But that’s just me. It’s really stressed me the fuck out.
Hope you understand, but by all means, you do you.
Thanks for stopping by,
Marengo.

Mistake | Haechan Imagine #6
Title: Mistake
Genre: neighbors to lovers
Warnings: mentions of a toxic relationship and drinking
Word Count: ~1.5k
Author's Note: Another neighbors to lovers story, but for Haechan. Something about writing a Haechan story with the enemies-to-lovers trope is so fun to write. I also feel like he is a very straightforward person. So he's not someone who is more likely to be honest about his feelings? I don't know, that's just my thoughts. I hope you guys like this and look forward to my upcoming works ^ ^
─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─❀*̥˚─
For someone who appreciated a peaceful and drama-free lifestyle, you lucked out with having Lee Donghyuck or Haechan as your neighbor—the complete opposite of you. Despite residing an entire floor below him, the thin walls proved ineffective in containing whatever nonsense emanated from his apartment. Almost every other night this guy was throwing impromptu parties, as if there weren’t other people who lived in the building.
Countless evenings were spent sitting at your desk, trying to study while the loud music from above constantly disrupted your focused state. At first, you didn’t say anything because you liked to avoid any form of conflict. But on a particularly stressful night before exams, you decided you had enough and mustered up the courage to confront your lovely neighbor (yes, you were being sarcastic).
Of course, Haechan didn’t take your complaints seriously and even had the nerve to invite you to join his ridiculous gathering. You firmly retorted that some people actually wanted to get some work done, before storming back down the stairs. Things with him had remained tense ever since.
Honestly, Haechan couldn’t understand how you could be so...quiet. Both of you were in your early twenties, and you should be savoring this youthful phase of life. How could someone perpetually bury their noses in books when there was a world of excitement waiting to be experienced?
On the other hand, all you could do was huff and cross your arms in response. You didn’t appreciate Donghyuck’s carefree attitude one bit. Little did you know that beneath his party-loving exterior, there was a whirlpool of emotions brewing.
A few weeks later, you were getting off the bus after studying at the library a little longer than anticipated. You had skipped lunch after class to go there, so food had been forgotten until now. Letting out a sigh, you stopped at the convenience store near your apartment to buy a triangle kimbap.
What you didn’t expect was to encounter a sluggish-looking Haechan, hands trembling as he clutched a bag of soju. His usually gleeful eyes were clouded with a sadness you had never seen in him before. He didn’t even notice you as he was about to pass by.
“Haechan,” you instinctively reached for the end of his hoodie sleeve. “What’s wrong?”
He hastily pulled away from your grasp, “Don’t act like you care, (Y/n). Just go back to studying your boring life away.”
His words stung and caused you to clench your fists in frustration. But knowing he didn’t mean it, you followed him outside. “You’re my neighbor—of course I care,” you muttered.
Despite being perhaps the most irritating person you'd ever met, it was evident that something was troubling him deeply. You weren't about to turn your back on someone who was clearly upset, especially a ray of sunshine like Lee Haechan.
Haechan didn’t respond immediately. But eventually, tears began to well in his eyes as he released a heavy sigh. “I found out my girlfriend was cheating on me at my own party.”
Your eyes widened upon hearing this revelation. “Oh my gosh, seriously?”
A surge of sympathy washed over you. Despite your less-than-friendly feelings toward him, no one deserved to be cheated on. The bag of green bottles he was carrying now made sense. Despite your fatigue from school and your growling stomach, you set those concerns aside to support him.
“Well, if you're going to drink, you shouldn't do it alone,” you said in the gentlest tone you had ever used with him.
Haechan glanced at you, a flicker of surprise dancing in his eyes. Before he knew it, the two of you were walking back to your apartment, settling at the small wooden dining table in the living room.
Since he had taken care of the drinks, you decided to make some instant ramen to go with it. However, it was mostly you eating, as Donghyuck didn't seem to have much of an appetite. You couldn't really blame him, considering you would be in the same boat if you hadn’t been starving before this.
Once you had poured the first round, you and Haechan raised your shot glasses and clinked them together before drinking in silence, letting the alcohol numb your pain–or at least his. The two of you soon realized that you both had a high alcohol tolerance, so it took longer for the effects to kick in. However, Haechan was the first to get drunk, while you were starting to get a little tipsy.
“You know the worst part?” His words slurred as the glass in his hand trembled. “I saw all the signs, but still ignored them like a fool.”
You gently intervened, preventing him from pouring another shot of soju. “That's no excuse for her to hurt you like that,” you asserted, your tone firm yet comforting. “And whether you notice the signs or not, most people still want to believe the best in others.”
“So, I'm not a fool because I'm like everyone else?” he asked.
Meeting his gaze, you responded with a sly smile, “No, you're a fool because everyone else is.”
Initially, you were apprehensive about how he might react to your comment and weren't entirely sure it made sense. To your surprise, he let out a soft chuckle.
“You are something else, (Y/n),” he shook his head before downing another shot.
As the night wore on, Haechan’s tears turned into incoherent ramblings. The contrast of his rosy cheeks against his tan skin was rather endearing as he laughed. At some point, he leaned in and clumsily kissed you. It was unexpected, and your heart skipped a beat, but you pretend it didn't happen. After all, he was drunk, and he probably wouldn't remember it in the morning.
In the days that followed, the animosity between you and Haechan faded away. You started hanging out more at each other’s apartments, sometimes drinking or just having late-night conversations. Through those moments, you got to know the Donghyuck part of Haechan.
You learned details such as his admiration for Michael Jackson and that kimchi jjigae was his comfort food. He wasn’t just a party animal, but his unexpected mellow and down-to-earth side made you view him in a different light.
Despite all that, the kiss was never brought up, confirming to you that he didn’t recall it. Your initial annoyance with Haechan had evolved into something more complicated. Then you were left with a peculiar heaviness in your heart. So you decided not to bring up the subject either. Until one day, the two of you were having a movie night and neither of you had any alcohol in your systems.
“You know…that night when I kissed you, I remember it,” he admitted quietly, without any warning. “And I’m really sorry for taking advantage of you like that.”
You gazed at him in slight surprise, while trying not to show how alarmed you felt. Shaking your head, you offered an understanding smile.
“I know it was a mistake. You were vulnerable at the time and not to mention, drunk.”
“That doesn’t make what I did right though,” he stated, his tone the most serious you’ve heard it. “Especially because I have feelings for you.”
Sitting up straighter, you almost choked on air. “I’m sorry—what did you just say?”
“I’ve never understood you, even when we first met. But even in my drunken state, I realized you were a genuinely kind person who sincerely cared for those around her,” he explained.
You could feel yourself gradually being persuaded by his words. But the part of you that doubted this was all a hallucination persisted. But then Haechan took your hands in his, infusing warmth into the moment.
“You’re not a mistake to me, (Y/n).” His eyes locked onto yours as he spoke. “I know I’m being selfish right now, but I want to be with you.”
Then your heart was racing as you absorbed what he had just said. “I want to be with you too, Donghyuck.”
His eyes brightened at the sound of his real name. But as he began to lean in, he abruptly paused. You shot him a questioning look, wondering what was stopping him.
He slid one hand beneath your hair, gently resting it on your nape. “Can I kiss you?”
Feeling his warm breath against your lips made you a bit dizzy, but you responded with a smile and a nod. Unlike the last time you kissed, his request for permission reassured you that this was indeed real.
With your consent, he closed the distance between you and kissed you with far more passion than the first time. It was a kiss infused with newfound understanding, forgiveness, and the promise of something beautiful. Undeniably, nothing about that was a mistake.
